[00:00:00] Speaker A: Hello everyone, and welcome back to our game of Tales from Elsewhere, Sanctuary.
Hello, my name is Nate. I am the GM for this adventure and I'll do a quick run through of everyone who's playing. If you haven't been here before. Hello, welcome to the Explorers of elsewhere. We have DM Dan, who usually DMS or GMs, but not today. It's me.
We have. We have Theo.
[00:00:24] Speaker B: Hello.
[00:00:25] Speaker A: We have Georgia.
We have Julia.
[00:00:29] Speaker C: Hi.
[00:00:30] Speaker A: And we have Livy.
[00:00:31] Speaker D: Yellow.
[00:00:33] Speaker A: Welcome back, the five of you. We are now on episode three of our little tale Into Sanctuary. And we've left our adventurers in a bit of a mystery of where they are.
A little bit of a pickle, but let us find out where they've materialized.
[00:01:14] Speaker C: Hello, I'm Julia and I play Lucretia, a Lorevar wizard.
[00:01:20] Speaker B: Hi, my name is Theo and I'll be playing Pally, a wolf, Kim Seraph.
[00:01:26] Speaker E: Hi, I'm Georgia and I'll be playing Vergil, a Sanguavar Ranger.
[00:01:33] Speaker F: Hi, my name is Dndan and I'm playing Myrdden, a Wolfkin Guardian Druid.
[00:01:40] Speaker D: Hi, I'm Livy and I'll be playing Bo, the dragon Scent warrior.
[00:01:46] Speaker A: And my name is Nate and I'll be the GM for this adventure.
So we left the five of you entering a small purple vortex.
But that's not one.
That's just one of the weirdest things that you've now just literally seen.
You found yourselves in. In a small glade of orangey yellow flowers after fighting what you can only sort of surmise as just these massive shadows.
And while the.
While the feelings of like despair and sadness, regret filled your lungs for a moment that has now dissipated. And you. You feel yourselves not hopeful, we will say, but at least revitalized. You don't feel so stressed. You don't feel so damaged anymore.
So you've woken up in this glade and you. All you can see is this glade. Everywhere around you is just thick, thick black nothingness.
And you've been guided through this little vortex by a small.
By a small orange dragon with fairy wings as it sort of flitted around a lot of you and then just disappeared through this vortex, guiding you through.
The five of you surmise that there was nothing really for you here. And the only logical sense is to. Well, maybe not logical, but the only thing that seemed like the best thing to do was to press forward and follow this little dragon.
I think it was Myrden who was the first one that walked through Myrden as you.
As you walk through this portal, your eyes struggle to acclimatize to the.
To the brightness that emanates. Sort of like the area around you.
As you've just come from this sort of very. You've come from this very gloomy wood, foggy and damp, to a small glade that was surrounded by darkness.
To now what you can only surmise is almost just like piercing, piercing blue light that. That shines down. It's. It's almost like the most perfect of perfect days.
It's. The sky is not even like a normal sky blue. It's like a piercing sort of. Almost pearly blue.
But there are. There are sort of shimmering clouds up there that also shine like pearls as well.
A huge bright sunshine. Even though the sun is large, the heat feels comfortable. It's like a. It's. It's a comfortable, warming glow that you feel on your skin probably for a while that you've. You've really sort of embraced this sort of comfortable glow.
And everywhere around you is like a forest, but nothing like you've ever seen before.
Like, the leaves are dotted with sort of pinks and blues and purples.
Like, leaves are unusual colors.
The grass is an unusual, like, shade of almost indigo, indigos and greens. And it sort of changes and glitters as it. As the wind blows through it. There are flowers of all sorts of shapes and sizes.
And this, and this, this new forest that you've entered yourself in doesn't even like, look like anything you've ever seen before. Like, it's something that you've seen in like a. Like a. Like a children's picture book maybe of like a fantasy fantastic world.
But this is. You definitely can feel like this is not.
This is not elsewhere anymore. Unless this is like something that is unknown effect of the eschaton.
What is. What is something that you notice first as you sort of enter this almost fantastical, complete opposite world that you've never seen before. Like something that is just like, where the bloody hell am I?
[00:07:01] Speaker F: I think it's so as he's sort of like squinting, he's got a hand up to shield his shield. The light from his eyes, he hears this.
It sounds almost like a chorus of like glockenspiel type, like glass noises.
And as he's sort of like being bamboozled by the sights and the.
But yeah, the sights around him.
Like he turns to try and kind of pick out where this sound is coming from.
And then like from behind a bush, there is a flock of birds that look like they're made of this like crystalline almost stained glass material. And as they fly, they ring out in this sort like chorus of. Of notes as they chirp to one another. It sounds like a.
Like a.
A symphony of these instruments kind of playing in tandem. And whilst it's kind chaotic, there is this kind of union, I guess.
And you're watching these like crystal birds fly up into the sky.
Mir then just blinks a few times and.
What the.
And that's when the next person comes through.
[00:08:41] Speaker A: I believe the next person that came through was Lucretia. Yeah, it was Lucretia. Yeah. As you. As you enter through the portal and you.
You hear mirrored and on the other side, which gives you some hope that like this hasn't landed you into even more deathly trouble. But you hear just sort of like what the.
You. You also take a look up your eyes adjusting to the, to the over saturation of this world.
Out of all the sort of the, the insane foliage. Even with someone with your academic sort of knowledge has never seen before.
Maybe on some like very rare occasions, but they were like maybe just flowers on their own. Nothing like trees.
[00:09:25] Speaker C: Not like this, definitely.
Yeah.
[00:09:28] Speaker A: What would be the first thing that you would see or you would notice?
[00:09:33] Speaker C: Perhaps the smell?
I think there is just this really kind of smell of like sweet sweetness in the air.
Yeah. And on the wind, I think there's a gentle breeze that's carrying this scent of like flowers, but sweeter than you would normally experience flowers and elsewhere.
[00:10:01] Speaker A: Can you, do you think you can pinpoint where this smell is coming from?
[00:10:05] Speaker C: Or do you think it's just everywhere? I think it's everywhere and it's being carried on. On the breeze. It's just this sense that this is just what this particular place smells like.
[00:10:17] Speaker A: So yeah, you, you probably find yourself as. So intrigued with the flowers that you found in the meadow back in the. In the. Before you're. Now you're going around all of these flowers and sort of having like a good sniff at all of them and just trying to sort of pick out. It's just like why does this. Why is this the smell of cinnamon buns? And why is. Why does this smell of. Why does this smell of like vanilla candles and things like that?
You sort of. Yeah. Why does it smell like lush fantasy Lush?
[00:10:54] Speaker C: I think immediately Lucretia's first instinct, even before that would be to gasp and just look around and probably say, sort of start talking to Murden, like, where are we? Is this still elsewhere? Is this some kind of pocket dimension? Is it another plane of existence altogether what is going on? And she starts smelling all the flowers and. Yeah. Looking around as the others start coming through.
[00:11:26] Speaker A: Who would be. I think it may have been Virgil. Who's the next one to come through?
[00:11:31] Speaker E: Possibly. Yes, sorry, I draw my book.
[00:11:34] Speaker C: You're role playing, Virgil.
[00:11:35] Speaker A: Well done.
Yeah, I mean Virgil, obviously you as well being well known, having your massive amounts of knowledge regarding.
Regarding the forest and the woods and nature in the wilderness.
Again, this is something that you've never seen before. Maybe in very sort of like small magical sort of like situations, but nothing of this grand of a scale.
What is the first thing that you notice?
[00:12:07] Speaker E: Yeah, I feel like it takes quite a lot to ruffle Virgil when it comes to the woods. He's seen a great many trees.
It's time he is one could say an expert on truth.
But through these trees in this forest he sees sort of. They seem to be kind of spiraling spires.
And as he looks closer he kind of notices that they are mushrooms that have grown together up into the shape of trees.
[00:12:38] Speaker A: Oh, okay.
[00:12:39] Speaker E: So it's the fruiting bodies of mushrooms have sort of swarmed together upwards and become a mass of them into trees.
[00:12:48] Speaker A: So the trees are mushrooms.
[00:12:51] Speaker E: Just a huge clump of mushrooms in the shape of a tree. Like it's been deliberately. Either they've grown like that delivery or it's been deliberately drained into this shape.
[00:13:01] Speaker A: What would Virgil's first action do? Seeing. Seeing trees. Trees like this.
[00:13:07] Speaker E: How delightful.
That's rather bizarre.
[00:13:17] Speaker A: Who was our next one to come through?
[00:13:20] Speaker D: I think it's Boo Bow and Brother Talents.
[00:13:28] Speaker A: Yeah, Brother Talons is sort of pulling you by your cowboy hat through the portal.
This is definitely a massive juxtaposition for you, Bo. You're much more used to the shadows and to dirty dingy sort of like places where you can make businesses and, and take businesses and all sorts making a taken.
What is, what is your first reaction to such a garish place?
[00:14:07] Speaker D: Disgusting.
[00:14:10] Speaker A: You're not firenza this time.
[00:14:14] Speaker D: It is disgusting.
[00:14:17] Speaker C: Bad lads reference.
[00:14:21] Speaker D: I think he's just, it's just, it's just never like you say, like his background is predominantly either been city based or more sort of dusty plateau.
So this much Flora, Flora, Flora and flora is just a lot to take in and just so brightly colored.
So he's just kind of just like wincing at the kind of and just kind of looking at everything. And then also this kind of feeling of being like, oh no, we are way off course of where I need to be and what I need to do.
This has all gone. Completely bottomed up for what.
And yeah, I think it's just kind of taking it all in as he sees all these flowers. I can.
I think it has quite a lot of little, like, butterflies that are involved in the flora.
And he kind of is looking at them and he thinks that he's. There's what looks like a load of colorful flowers, and as he sort of brushes his sort of little clawed hand through them, they're actually, yeah, all little butterflies that look like flowers and they come up and it's like that all their wings are coated in, like, powder paint. So they just kind of all these little colorful little explosions, but not a nice. The bow kind of explosion. Just little, little.
It's just like. I was just trying to not get on his trousers off me.
[00:16:05] Speaker A: Yeah. As. As the. The others of. You've watched Beau just kind of go like that.
Pally, you are the last one to enter through this little vortex.
And as someone who is a great sort of admirer, especially of the sky, seeing. Seeing such a. Almost such a sort of pale, like, pearlescent blue of a sky is really weird to you.
[00:16:33] Speaker B: Super weird.
[00:16:35] Speaker A: Do you think it's the.
Would you notice something in the sky or is there something else you would notice first?
[00:16:42] Speaker B: So I think he'd look to the sky first and I think he would, like, kind of walk still looking up, and then he'll kind of realize he stepped towards, like. I am imagining like, a little stream, like. Like a little kind of like little stream of water near the glade. And like, there's like teeny, tiny little waterfall, but the water's going the wrong way.
So the water's going up. The water.
[00:17:06] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:17:07] Speaker B: And not down. And it's got like a kind of like, purple.
Purple tank to the water is like gleaming, purpling.
And he's like. I think he's just like, this is so.
He's so used to nature being one way because his God made it one way, that he's.
Yeah, a bit, like, stunned and a bit confused. I think is very beautiful. But how.
This is not what he's used to.
What's happened here?
[00:17:39] Speaker A: Cool.
So as the.
As you notice that Pali is the last one to. To step out, looking at the sky, sort of looking to the ground, checking out the stream.
Watching the stream sort of float up a rock face, maybe sort of poking your finger in it. Does it feel like water?
[00:18:04] Speaker B: I'd say it feels like water. Maybe like, you know, you get like hard and soft water.
I felt the water's very Soft, Incredibly soft.
[00:18:15] Speaker A: And you can. You can see sort of glitter, this sort of glittery stream that sort of goes around your finger and it feels soft and cooling.
The five of you are now in this brand new world, another dimension still elsewhere.
As you.
As you're peering around, trying to take in your sights and figuring out sort of like. And just too in awe of everything to figure out what's next, you do notice that the. The small dragon that woke you up is no longer there.
[00:18:53] Speaker E: He's.
[00:18:53] Speaker A: He's gone. Not you though, as.
As Maiden, because you were the first one to see this little dragon. You sort of. You sort of like whip around again as the others are sort of taking in everything.
And you look back to where you entered, realize that the vortex is also gone.
So you are.
You are now here in this unknown forest.
Forest. Can you call it a forest?
What would you like to do?
[00:19:37] Speaker F: Like Maiden is swearing under his breath.
[00:19:43] Speaker A: He.
[00:19:44] Speaker F: Like, he. He is very much the image of like the dad that's just come home to see the child has just emptied a can of paint over the living room kind of thing. Like what. What is go.
But he'll. He'll pause, he'll close his eyes, and then he'll sort of like wrap his hand around the stone. Stone amulet that hangs from his neck.
And what. Like what. What impression?
[00:20:12] Speaker B: What.
[00:20:14] Speaker F: What's Artiosa like? What's her disposition here? What she. As a world spirit?
[00:20:21] Speaker A: Artyosa. It almost seems like she's preoccupied.
Like she's.
She's there and she can. She can feel you trying to connect with her.
And it doesn't seem like you've lost any of your abilities or anything. Like everything that Artyosa gives you, the magic that she gives you, is still there, but it seems like she is preoccupied with figuring something out herself.
[00:20:58] Speaker F: Okay, does everybody still have all of their.
Does everyone still have all of their body parts attached where they should be?
[00:21:11] Speaker E: I believe so.
[00:21:13] Speaker C: Lucretia doesn't answer because she is currently. She's got her book out and a pen and she's going around. She's muttering under her breath. It's extraordinary. Got too much. Too much to document. Oh my goodness. And so she's not listening.
[00:21:34] Speaker F: Around. Is there any kind of hints of civilization in any like, visible direction or the.
[00:21:44] Speaker A: The only sort of visible direction of there being not civilization, but obviously something that is more man made is a path that sort of leads through this sort of dense forest.
So it looks like people have been walking around here or something's been walking around Here because there's a track path that sort of leads a nice little opening that leads you through the forest.
[00:22:12] Speaker F: Okay.
[00:22:13] Speaker B: Are there footprints or anything like that on the path?
[00:22:17] Speaker A: No, there's no footprint.
[00:22:19] Speaker C: No footprint.
[00:22:20] Speaker A: Well, actually give me.
Would it be presence?
[00:22:28] Speaker D: No, it be instinct.
[00:22:31] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:22:31] Speaker A: Give me, give me an instinct check.
[00:22:35] Speaker B: Cool.
I have no hope. So let's just single app. It's okay.
[00:22:46] Speaker A: There's 11 with fear and 11 with fear.
With an 11 with fear. You, you're probably still got your.
Got your. You're still dazed. Yeah. You still got sort of like you're still kneeling down. You're doing like a little squat sort of like above the, the, the stream.
And then when you, you kind of get to your attention, sort of almost like your soldiers sort of like instincts kick in and you're like, ah, we've got to find tracks, we've got to find civilization. And you almost get like a little bit too excited. You hop up and then you trip over this little stream and you fall down.
[00:23:27] Speaker D: Can I also have a little look myself?
[00:23:30] Speaker A: You can.
[00:23:31] Speaker E: If anyone can give me a hope. I can.
Forest superpowers. But I'm hopeless currently so I cannot.
[00:23:39] Speaker D: Forest superpowers.
[00:23:42] Speaker A: Oh, where's soldier's bond when we need it?
[00:23:46] Speaker D: Why did nobody take soldier's bond?
Unbelievable.
[00:23:50] Speaker E: Could have just whipped out a compliment.
[00:23:53] Speaker D: Just exactly.
[00:23:55] Speaker F: Mirden has no compliments for any of you.
[00:23:59] Speaker D: I'm going to use my excitement. Could I use my experience as a bounty hunter, please?
[00:24:04] Speaker A: Yeah, sure.
For traps. Yeah.
Okay.
[00:24:10] Speaker D: 18.
[00:24:11] Speaker A: 18 with fear.
[00:24:12] Speaker D: But I'm scared.
[00:24:13] Speaker A: You're scared.
[00:24:15] Speaker C: You're only little.
[00:24:17] Speaker A: With, with an 18 with fear, you, you can kind of see what like despite the fact that Pally sort of towers above you, you can see what this, this young wel is trying to do.
[00:24:30] Speaker D: Yeah, she just fell over me cuz I just went between his legs.
[00:24:37] Speaker A: And you, you're giving sort of like a good keen look on the floor. Do you pick up a little bit of grit, give it a lick, sort of put it back down again.
You can definitely notice that there's some tracks and there's all sorts of different little tracks on this thing, on this, on this path.
Some of them are just like, almost like little small squares and they, they don't sort of go like a normal footprint print sort of track. They kind of, they, they sort of almost go in twos, like in pairs. Like something is hopping.
Sort of like a long squares but little squares but in twos.
[00:25:25] Speaker D: Ah, I think we're looking for a very small double Peg legged man.
[00:25:32] Speaker C: Double peg leg.
[00:25:38] Speaker B: I feel like pallie hearing if that actually was said out loud. I feel the tracks. Because he doesn't believe possible.
[00:25:48] Speaker A: But there is.
You don't know anything that could be. You can make your guess that it's a two legged hopping peg leg man.
[00:25:55] Speaker D: Okay, well that's what I've deduced and I'm never wrong.
[00:26:02] Speaker E: So before we head off after this peg legged man, I think can I head over to Mirin? Um. As he seats with worry and rage.
[00:26:13] Speaker F: Yes.
[00:26:15] Speaker E: You seem stressed old thing.
[00:26:22] Speaker F: When has.
When in the history of ever have we have strangers been introduced to such a paradise without a catch?
[00:26:35] Speaker E: Well there's a first time for everything.
He reaches into his. His sort of his leaf cave and he brings out a very nicely colored leaf and he presses it into your hand.
One could say we live in this kind of paradise every day.
[00:26:51] Speaker A: And he pats you on the arm.
[00:26:55] Speaker F: Mira's eyes just narrow. It's got like arrow slits.
In my experience the most colorful and vibrant things in nature are the most dangerous. I can hear we are here. We are in this cornucopia of vibrance.
[00:27:17] Speaker E: Well yes, but doesn't it look so lovely?
And he starts to wander off in the direction.
[00:27:28] Speaker D: Yes.
[00:27:30] Speaker F: Pinching this leaf. I'm.
But he doesn't just go no. 2 like he, he's. He's got it pinched between his finger and thumb. But then as Virgil kind of I'm get by the sounds of it literally toddling off.
Miriam will sort of like look at the leaf and then quite carefully like put it in a like a pocket or sort of like tuck it in under his. Under his furs.
Making sure not to like overly damage it.
[00:28:02] Speaker C: No.
[00:28:06] Speaker A: Cool. So you're all, you're all toddling down this, this little path.
Okay.
So yeah, the, the five of you continue down this path and they're the more sort of like the more further you enter into these. This forest forest the more that sort of is really interesting to you. You can hear the glockenspiel of these birds. But as you wander further into this forest you can almost hear like perched birds of different sort of like crystals, glass almost producing other different types of instruments.
So like flutes and violins. Like sounds that you've never heard from birds before.
Almost sounding like a, like a small orchestra as they get together.
Besides from the birds you've not really seen any animals per se.
There just seems to be the abundance of just flowers.
These mushrooms that sort of tie together to make trees, um, interlaced with like bushes, um, and this very vibrant turquoise grass that seems to bristle in the wind. And the wind feels warm and cooling.
Definitely no abrasive to, to it at all.
And you, you find yourselves continuing through this, just taking in this, this lush foliage, continuing down this path that you're not completely sure is man made and probably. Beau, would you say you're in front if you found these tracks, would you be sort of leading the group and sort of following the tracks?
[00:30:01] Speaker D: Yeah, I think he's kind of trying to follow these tracks but he has no idea what he's following.
You know, he's just kind of like, he's so used to being like, okay, here's some footprints, I swallow them. He's just kind of like what is like that? Like why is it suddenly, oh, now we've got like two funny little, little footprints and now we've got little squares and now we've got. It's just kind of like hell. But yeah, just at the front just trying to make sense of what the hell is going on.
[00:30:33] Speaker A: Cool.
You carry on down this path and you find yourselves, you find Bo, you find the track sort of come to an end and you are unable to, to see sort of anywhere. The, the pathway that had all these little tracks on them have been covered in this sort of powder, paint, dust that had been left by these butterflies.
I will pop you over to the, the map.
This is where you go.
[00:31:11] Speaker D: There we go.
[00:31:12] Speaker A: It's like first time flawless.
But you.
Bo, could you do me another instinct check for me please?
And anyone else can do me an
[00:31:28] Speaker D: instinct check if you want reactionary or with doubles. With.
[00:31:33] Speaker A: Yeah, do, do a reaction. Actually if you could do a reaction one.
[00:31:42] Speaker B: My boy is doing so bad today.
[00:31:45] Speaker A: 1217 for Lucretia.
[00:31:52] Speaker C: It was all. Yeah,
[00:31:55] Speaker A: 11. 11. A 12 for.
So yeah, Bo with.
You've, you've sort of, you've been, you've been sniffing out on these tracks, but now these tracks have suddenly sort of gone blank.
Maen, Virgil and Pally, you've been, you've been sort of keeping like a sort of bit of a breadth away. Well, maybe not Virgil. Virgil might be quite interested in sort of like what's around him.
Pally, you, you've probably a little bit more interested in the sky and this why it isn't sort of, kind of making sense of the clouds and Murden. I think you're probably just grumbling along kind of thinking this is something bad's gonna go. I know, I know something horrible is going to go wrong.
Lucretia probably because you are so invested in all the fauna and you're.
And the flora and you're. You're really sort of sticking your nose and everything.
[00:32:58] Speaker B: You.
[00:32:59] Speaker A: You come towards this little bush with rocks around it and you suddenly start hearing this sort of like this buzzing and this zipping coming from somewhere.
[00:33:12] Speaker C: From somewhere from.
[00:33:14] Speaker A: From a very close. From the bush.
[00:33:17] Speaker C: From the bush.
[00:33:18] Speaker A: From the bush very close to you.
[00:33:19] Speaker C: Oh gosh, who would I. Virgil.
Virgil my sweet, please can you come here? And I just sort of point at. I point my staff at the bush and say what do you think is responsible for the buzzings coming from that foliage there?
[00:33:43] Speaker E: Well, quite possibly bees.
[00:33:46] Speaker C: This is what I thought might be. Could be bees. Wasps in this forest.
[00:33:50] Speaker E: Who can tell really? It could be.
[00:33:53] Speaker C: Nothing has tried to. Nothing has tried to attack us just yet. So perhaps there is a way we could investigate without incurring whatever's in There's
[00:34:02] Speaker D: Ireland already going for his guns.
[00:34:06] Speaker C: No, no, no, no, no, no.
[00:34:08] Speaker D: Not yet.
[00:34:09] Speaker C: Not out. Not now. We'll tell you when it's time. Don't. Don't worry.
[00:34:13] Speaker F: I mean's just gonna like emerge between Lucia and Virgil and then like gesture his left hand out and the floating runestones around his head sort of like gravitate away from his hand.
I can attack with the rune, the hand runes up to very close.
So I'm standing very close away and then just having the stones like sift effectively. Just go into the bush and sift around a little bit.
[00:34:46] Speaker A: Yeah. So mad. And as you. As you send your runes off to scurry around in this little bush, you can see the stones sort of dig into the bush and then they sort of part the bushes to.
Let's see if I can get this little to. What you see is this little contraption, this little thing that's. That's like. That's sort of buzzing and fizzing. It's got.
It's for. For normal world. It's kind of like almost the. The sound that's coming from is almost like a radio and it's sort of like.
Like that. Like it's trying to say something but it can't.
It's.
It's right leg definitely looks broken. It can't seem to move it and the other one is sort of twitching a little bit and it doesn't look great. It's probably only like about sort of like a hand sized box made of wood and metal. But it's just sort of.
[00:35:54] Speaker E: It's our baby now.
[00:35:56] Speaker C: It is.
[00:35:57] Speaker A: It's our child.
Just sort of sitting there fizzing and.
[00:36:04] Speaker D: Oh, he's got legs and arms.
[00:36:07] Speaker A: He hasn't got any arms. He's only got legs.
[00:36:09] Speaker C: Little leggies.
[00:36:10] Speaker D: Has he got square legs? Little square feet?
[00:36:13] Speaker A: They almost like look like little frog legs, but metal frog legs.
[00:36:19] Speaker D: So I haven't seen the tracks of this frog.
[00:36:22] Speaker A: Boy, you. You can surmise from like the size of the tracks to the size of these little feet that these are probably where the tracks come from.
[00:36:32] Speaker C: No.
Hello, little one.
Are you lost?
[00:36:39] Speaker F: So how physically big is it?
[00:36:41] Speaker A: It's about.
About the size of. About the size of a big book.
Okay.
[00:36:48] Speaker D: If I shoot it, it'll fall.
[00:36:52] Speaker F: Like, I'll head. I'll head towards the bush.
Sort of like summon the runes back to me. And then like at distinct arm's reach. Just hold. Hold this.
[00:37:02] Speaker C: Be gentle with it. Don't hurt it.
[00:37:09] Speaker F: And then like with it in my hand, I'll just sort of like start to turn against so he can see.
[00:37:14] Speaker A: See.
[00:37:16] Speaker F: Is it.
Yeah. I mean, I don't trust it.
But is it. Is it reacting in any way to us holding?
[00:37:26] Speaker A: No, it's. It seems to just sort of be fizzing a little bit as you pick it up. The. The broken leg just sort of hangs there and the other one is sort of just h. Like cched up underneath its. Underneath its little box body.
But it's almost like it's trying to sort of open its eyes and it's trying to speak through this little sort of like grate in its face, but it's not. It's struggling a bit with it.
[00:37:56] Speaker D: Does it look like. Yeah, it's got obviously broken legs.
Does it look like it's been attacked? Like, is it scratches or rips on it or is it just got gammy legs?
[00:38:10] Speaker A: It looks like it's just got gammy legs.
[00:38:12] Speaker D: Okay. Okay. There's not like an obvious. Like, are any of.
[00:38:17] Speaker C: Are any of us tinkerers? Like, do any of us have any experience with like, repair and. Or does anyone have a mending type bell?
No. Okay. Just trying to figure out.
[00:38:30] Speaker D: I mean, I've got reasonable finesse touch and I. Yeah.
[00:38:35] Speaker E: So I can do that to a machine.
[00:38:37] Speaker B: Maybe I can try. I feel like P will like make like an eternal prayer which activates his prayer dice for the session. So we'll do that.
But just.
[00:38:58] Speaker A: Cool. I got.
[00:38:59] Speaker B: Oh, I can do that again. So.
[00:39:00] Speaker A: Yes, I was going to say, if anyone does need to roll dice for anything, please go ahead. Now.
[00:39:10] Speaker C: Are we treating this like a new day?
[00:39:13] Speaker A: Well, this will be like so with some of them it'll be a new session. But if your one says long rest, I will accept that you've technically had a long rest.
So.
[00:39:26] Speaker C: Candy.
[00:39:28] Speaker B: Cool. Well, in this case I can do sparing touch on. So I feel like again, he'll make that small prayer and he'll be like. I think like, can I. Can I see? And I think you like gently hold this. This creature in both hands.
And I feel like because he's holding him from the legs, I think there'll be like a light like almost like cloud.
I imagine the powers that Paddy has represents kind of cloud like whiffs and puffs around and then dissipates like a nice little kind of golden glow.
As he sees what happens.
[00:40:12] Speaker A: If there's any.
As you.
As you sort of make your.
You make your prayers to Renengar and sort of imbued that divine magic that you have from him, you notice that it feels a little bit off trying to contact him.
Not the usual.
Not the usual way that you usually get that. That sort of warm and embracing feeling that you do as sort of like that divine magic passes through you.
It's almost like it's struggle. Like have. I don't know whether or not you've ever had the feeling that you want to cry, but you just can't produce the tears. It's some. It kind of almost feels like that. Like you're wanting to expose something, but nothing's quite coming out. But. But you notice that it is.
It is coming out. Like you can. You can see the effects of your magic. And it starts to sort of whip its way around. This tiny little creature doesn't. It doesn't fix it the way you are hoping. But it does.
Like, its leg is still limp, but it does sort of just like wake up and just sort of just look at it. Sort of just bats. It's like these little sort of shutter eyes and it's got these bright green eyes, these emerald eyes. And it sort of bats its eyes at you and it. And it kind of looks. Looks around and it. It kind of. It kind. It's still kind of struggling to.
To make noises.
It's kind of going like that. So almost like a record that's getting stuck on a track.
But it's sort of like awake now. And it doesn't seem like it's particularly scared of you. It. It's kind of almost like it's confused.
[00:42:17] Speaker D: And Bose is gonna gently take him from Pally.
[00:42:24] Speaker C: I like how the baby's being passed around right.
[00:42:27] Speaker D: And Just give him a little shake.
[00:42:28] Speaker C: No.
[00:42:34] Speaker D: I say, is anyone in there?
[00:42:40] Speaker A: Bo is. You're doing this. And the noise from this little creature becomes louder.
[00:42:49] Speaker D: You.
[00:42:49] Speaker A: You stop shaking him. He kind of.
And out from his voice. You then suddenly in the background, you start hearing this quite loud booming of large footsteps.
[00:43:03] Speaker D: As I give him back to Pali.
[00:43:08] Speaker B: As, as.
[00:43:11] Speaker A: As you kind of hear these large footsteps and almost like trees are being crunched to this, like to the ground.
Bushes are being trampled on. As you.
The. The five of you then look in the direction of where these. Where these like bounding like foot beats are coming from.
As the five of you kind of look up over the brush and you see like this figure, this like large figure, but it's large in, like, stature as well.
Huge horns sort of propel from its head and almost like large hands with like mitts, like, are brushing through the trees and sort of knocking them over. Some of them are breaking. Some of these trees are actually going and just sort of bending back into shape.
As the five of you are really not sure what the hell you're looking at.
When you look up and see what's trampling through the woods is a large.
What you think. Think might be a keeper. You can see the horns, you can see the hooves.
A large keeper in dungarees. But it's like a massive cuddly toy. Like a massive soft toy keeper with button eyes. With one of the eyes sort of like unstrung and just hung hanging from its face.
No mouth, like a little heart nose that's been stitched on. And it's sort of just clambering its way through the woods. It's probably like a good 11ft tall and it's just. And probably 11ft wide.
And it's. And it's coming kind of straight towards you.
[00:45:01] Speaker C: Does everybody else see that?
[00:45:03] Speaker F: This place is a curse.
[00:45:06] Speaker D: Oh, there he is.
[00:45:07] Speaker C: The baby. Run.
[00:45:09] Speaker E: Getting out of the way would be a good idea maybe.
[00:45:11] Speaker C: Yes.
Yeah, I think we're gonna attempt to get out of the way and see what it does.
[00:45:17] Speaker D: No, drop the tile, pally. Drop the child.
[00:45:22] Speaker B: I very carefully put because I feel like bow shaking may have caused it to appear in the first place.
Till he put it down and join sec. Should. If we hide, should we run?
[00:45:35] Speaker F: What.
[00:45:35] Speaker B: What's the best thing to do?
[00:45:36] Speaker C: I think we should. We should probably do what Virgil said and I think sort of start getting a wriggle on out of the way of its current trajectory. And if it starts to give chase, then we run.
[00:45:49] Speaker E: Yeah, we get out of this stomping path.
[00:45:52] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah, good idea.
[00:45:55] Speaker A: So you've, you've. Let's. So you've popped the little.
[00:46:00] Speaker B: The little.
[00:46:01] Speaker A: The little robot down on the floor and you're all sort of clearing out the way.
[00:46:05] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah.
[00:46:06] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:46:12] Speaker D: Oh, no.
[00:46:13] Speaker C: We've split up. Oh, no.
[00:46:17] Speaker B: Which way are we going? Which way are we going?
[00:46:19] Speaker F: I mean, we don't have to outpace it. We just have to outpace one another.
[00:46:24] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:46:28] Speaker B: No, sorry. I'm gonna not skip the party. Bo, come on.
[00:46:33] Speaker A: I mean, you're more than welcome to stay.
So.
[00:46:36] Speaker F: Yeah.
[00:46:36] Speaker A: As the, as the five of you sort of drop the robot and. And bundle behind this. This bush, you're. You watch as this giant sort of soft toy keeper comes bundling through and walks straight up, up to this little robot or this little mechanic, this little automaton as you found on the floor.
And you watch as it sort of.
[00:47:02] Speaker C: It's.
[00:47:03] Speaker A: This, this thing is quite big, and it sort of leans down and tries to sort of clumsily pick up the. The robot with its sort of mitten hands.
And you. You watch as this creep. There's this massive sort of soft toy creature just kind of looks at it and kind of inspects it. And again, like, the little. The little machine is not scared at all. It sort of looks up and it sort of blinks its eyes and it's kind of going again as the keeper just goes.
And then it.
And then it brings its hands back up again and the robot, this little. This little creature, this little robot then suddenly stands up and its feet are. Okay, it seems to be able to stand and it sort of blinks its eyes and it sort of taps its little feet and it looks down at his little feet and.
And he sort of looks up and you can hear it sort of kind of chirp something as the, as the soft toy keeper sort of puts it back down on the ground and then just sort of carries off back in the direction it came from.
[00:48:26] Speaker C: What the hell?
[00:48:30] Speaker A: Unfortunately, I haven't got a little image for the.
[00:48:33] Speaker F: For the little robot that's been fixed.
[00:48:36] Speaker A: We'll keep him at that. And because it's. Because the little.
The little machine, the little thing that you. You kind of tried to fix knows where you lot are.
He just sort of runs over to you.
He pits, pats over, and he's just like, thank you.
[00:49:01] Speaker B: You're welcome, mate.
Little. Little guy.
What
[00:49:08] Speaker D: now? He's got his legs. How tall is he?
[00:49:11] Speaker A: He's probably like. He's. He comes up to your ankles probably all right. No, he comes up to about. Probably just under your knees, Bo, but to everyone else, he comes up to your ankles.
[00:49:26] Speaker C: Bo's knees are at our ankles.
[00:49:30] Speaker A: Are you lost?
[00:49:34] Speaker C: Yes, we are, as a matter of fact.
[00:49:38] Speaker B: Where are we?
[00:49:40] Speaker A: The robot kind of tilts its. What is its head, probably looks up at you and just goes, we are in.
We are in woods.
Do you need help? Back to Sanctuary.
[00:49:59] Speaker C: Sanctuary, you say?
[00:50:01] Speaker A: Sanctuary? Yes.
[00:50:02] Speaker C: What is.
[00:50:03] Speaker A: Do you need help?
[00:50:04] Speaker C: What is Sanctuary?
[00:50:06] Speaker A: Sanctuary is where we all live.
Oh, well, it is not safe out here.
[00:50:14] Speaker C: Well, maybe we'd better go to sanctuary, then.
[00:50:18] Speaker D: And she looks at you need that massive keep like. Like those guys? Like the big guys or more of you?
[00:50:28] Speaker A: No, more like you.
More like me. More like you.
[00:50:36] Speaker D: Well, I think me and you are pretty different.
[00:50:40] Speaker A: I know, but.
[00:50:48] Speaker D: Well, lead the way, little fella. Have you got a name?
[00:50:51] Speaker A: My name is Explorer.
[00:50:55] Speaker D: What an imaginative name.
[00:50:58] Speaker C: But that is extraordinary because we too are explorers.
[00:51:02] Speaker A: The robot sort of looks up at you and he kind of goes, but you do not look like me.
[00:51:08] Speaker C: Well, we're a different type of explorer to you.
[00:51:12] Speaker A: Do you explore these lands too?
[00:51:16] Speaker C: Well, we've only just got here, but I suppose we are, yes.
[00:51:20] Speaker A: The robot kind of looks at you all very interested, and he's.
It's almost like he's trying to compute what he wants to say, but he can't really. It's. It's a little bit over his threshold.
He's just, I will take you back to Sanctuary. You must be tired and hungry.
And he. And he starts to just sort of like, hop like a frog, sort of like in, in the direction.
[00:51:54] Speaker E: Protect this tiny boy.
[00:51:57] Speaker C: Protect the tiny man at all costs.
[00:52:01] Speaker D: I think the shaking. We shaking. It really did the trick, was that what did it.
[00:52:05] Speaker C: That's what did.
[00:52:06] Speaker A: Did it. Yeah,
[00:52:09] Speaker D: we're going to.
[00:52:09] Speaker C: We're obviously following Little Explorer.
[00:52:13] Speaker B: How's Mirin?
[00:52:15] Speaker A: Yeah, how is Mirin?
[00:52:17] Speaker D: Mirin is just like, skipping along beside
[00:52:21] Speaker C: him hand in hand.
[00:52:23] Speaker F: Mirdin's eye has, like, glazed over slightly developed a twitch.
Yeah. And like he's clinching like he's. He's only just acknowledged how hard he's clenching down on his back teeth.
And like there's a fleeting. When. When this little mechanic, even this little construct, hops away maiden's like, I have died.
I have died and I've ascended to the realms of the dragons. That is the only, only plausible explanation.
[00:52:58] Speaker D: This is what the bastards have given me for all my work.
[00:53:02] Speaker C: I been in hell.
[00:53:03] Speaker F: What crimes did I commit in life
[00:53:07] Speaker E: could have Such land here with these idiots.
[00:53:12] Speaker B: Can I ask a question above table.
[00:53:14] Speaker A: You can.
[00:53:15] Speaker D: Have we.
[00:53:16] Speaker B: Have we seen anything? Have we died?
[00:53:18] Speaker A: No.
[00:53:21] Speaker C: It is a leading theory, Theo.
[00:53:25] Speaker B: Leading theory. In terms of the constructs themselves, obviously, I don't think we've ever actually met talking like radios with frog necks. However, how far would our technology have gone in parts of elsewhere? Like how do we have artificers and tinkerers to an extreme where we would have constructs or not as far as we met so far.
[00:53:50] Speaker A: You may not have personally met them yourselves, but you are aware of. There are artif. Artificers and the like.
You, you may be aware that after Alicia came back, um, from the void, um, that there was talk of these metal suits that were imbued with. With basically souls of the dead, um, and are powered by these. By these souls.
I don't think maybe Lucretia maybe would have met. Met Tavarian, who used to be the leader of the people in Alicia.
And you found the construct of, you know, someone who is dead, who's been, you know, their soul has been taken and possesses now a suit of armor quite like. Interesting.
Lucretia, do you feel like in this small.
This small creature that there's possibly the same. You don't. You don't see the same sort of glow?
[00:54:57] Speaker C: I was gonna say if there's no similar sort of soul crystal type glow within it, then. But then I think Tarvarian's probably the closest thing she would have ever seen to this creature, I suspect. So I think she's. She's not sure at the moment, but she's very keen to find out more.
[00:55:17] Speaker F: I think a lot of the technology that we see around Overmoor would be more kind of magic punk rather than like steam or cog punk.
So yeah, whatever this little monstrous beast
[00:55:30] Speaker B: is, it's like set where the expectations are in terms of how been reacting to a. Yeah.
Radio computer any of us would ever
[00:55:43] Speaker F: have seen a soft, plushy Goliath.
[00:55:45] Speaker B: That's terrifying. Yes, that. That was even my question. It was more the radio, like in terms of how it functions, you know,
[00:55:57] Speaker A: as, as.
As explorer starts hopping off in the direction, back onto the path again and sort of looks back at you to see if the five of you are following.
He will also look back and you can.
The five of you can actually look back and see that the plushie, the large plushy sort of like keeper is also looking. But he like, it's still. It's not doing anything. It's just sort of. It's just Sort of sitting there quite pleasantly and Explorer will keep on hopping along Maiden throughout. Throughout. This whole time you have been. You've just been kind of holding on to your amulet to.
To see if. Sorry, what's your world spirit called again? Rta Sir Arty.
To see if Artiosa will.
Will talk to you.
You. You suddenly almost feel from. From your rune this, this. This pang. This sort of like.
Like someone has like grabbed your shoulders for your attention.
And while no one is sort of directing you to look, you can feel your. Your body sort of of twist round as the. The four others sort of follow explorer on. On this path. You feel your body sort of twist to the side as you look off into the distance where you notice the. The. The. The kind of shadowy glow of another large creature. But it's almost like it's not there. It's almost like it's ethereal like it's. And in your. You can't see it but it's almost like you can see it in your mind of like this large.
Like almost like this large shadowy goat.
And then it disappears.
And we'll take a break.
So if you've enjoyed that. If you want to find out what's happening next, if you're. If you join as a member, you can watch it right now because the next episode will be up on our members.

So it would be good to see them. They're going live every Monday at 7:30.
That's about.
[00:58:52] Speaker F: Oh, and there may well be giant monstrous soft plushy goliaths.
[00:58:58] Speaker A: Yeah. Now that I've given the idea to Dan, that's all he's going to do.
[00:59:04] Speaker C: Nice.
