[00:00:01] Speaker A: Previously on Alicia Rising. I assume you have come here to unburden yourself of the sins for the past. [00:00:11] Speaker B: As per your invitation. I hope you don't mind, I bought plus four. [00:00:15] Speaker C: Hello, priestess. [00:00:18] Speaker A: Hi, Priestess Catherine. There is one faction in particular who has set plans in motion that, should they come to fruition, threaten the sanctity of Elysia herself. The mastermind of these actions is Masto van. [00:00:41] Speaker D: God fuck's sake. [00:00:43] Speaker B: I heard that he's making inroads in to bell Tower prison. Our friends in the church have obviously spent some expense gathering up Sangrevar. Mustow's efforts are obviously threatening their goals. [00:00:58] Speaker A: What do you mean you don't know where the boss is? Like ever since songs heard Scarborough to the winds, Mustow's done a runner. [00:01:03] Speaker D: No, Musto. [00:01:05] Speaker A: Cavern. As you're waiting on the corner, you find yourself alone on this street. Suddenly you get this feeling that you're being watched. Frieda. The front door of this house opens and out waddles a stocky, sweaty little goblin. Hello, he says. All right, Cavern. However, you hear the sound of something scraping along stonework behind you. Hello, little bird. Do you like the sound of music? Because the orchestra is looking for someone just like you. And as he lifts his head up fully, he launches himself at you, sickle drawn. Welcome to Elysia, the jewel of the north. On our gilded streets, fortune and fame. [00:02:14] Speaker E: Can be found by anyone. [00:02:18] Speaker D: Hi, I'm Julia, and I'm playing Magpie, an ace of our lurk. [00:02:23] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Nate and I'm playing cavern, a dragon scent slide. [00:02:28] Speaker E: Hi, I'm Meg. I'm playing Frieda, a wolfkin cutter. [00:02:33] Speaker B: Hi, I'm JC, and I'll be playing Algaenon, an ace of our spider. [00:02:38] Speaker F: Hello, I'm Erol. I am playing Atta, a goblin whisper. [00:02:43] Speaker A: And my name is DM Dan. I will be the games master on this adventure. So come on in and marvel at our wonders. [00:02:52] Speaker E: Make sure you see the beautiful views we have to offer. And don't mind the ghosts. They're friendly, really. Grab yourselves a seat and make yourselves. [00:03:02] Speaker A: Welcome in the city of Elysia. Welcome back, everyone, to explorers of elsewhere's Elysia rising campaign. Hi, I'm DM Dan, and I have some very fraught looking individuals who are about to start a mission. We're fine, we're fine, we're fine. So we are just gonna jump straight back into it. Frieda is currently eye to knee with mastova in a narrow alleyway, Rookridge, whilst cavern is face to face with a mysterious Loravar man with glowing eyes and a wickedly sharp looking sickle. And Magpie, Atta and Algernon are pretty much equidistant from the both of them on the bridge. One of the bridges of waterside. First things first, as the. As the mission begins, starting with Magpie. What loadout? What level of loadout are you going with? [00:04:18] Speaker D: Light. [00:04:18] Speaker A: Light, please. And atta. [00:04:22] Speaker F: I think I might also go light. [00:04:26] Speaker A: Light for Atta and Alkanon. [00:04:30] Speaker B: I think I'm just gonna go normal, like usual. [00:04:32] Speaker A: Normal. Okay. [00:04:33] Speaker C: And Kevin, light. [00:04:36] Speaker A: I've got a run. It's gonna be light. And Frieda. [00:04:42] Speaker E: Good question. I'm gonna go heavy. [00:04:51] Speaker A: I've come prepared for war because you're. [00:04:53] Speaker D: Picking up a muster. That's one of your loadout items. [00:04:59] Speaker A: Okay? So heavy for freedom. Very, very, very good. Right, so, Frieda, you have rolled a controlled position. So, yeah, master is currently, like, stood mid stride. Look at. Gawping at you. What? Yeah. And he's just, hello, Frieda. He says, but. And he's looking at you, and it looks like you are dressed up for war. You just got a satchel over one shoulder, you pockets are bulging. [00:05:31] Speaker E: Frida actually takes off this satchel, and out of the satchel, she draws a very heavy duty looking musto sized burlap sack. She says, right, musto, I'm gonna need you to get in this sack. [00:05:52] Speaker A: Musto looks at you, blinks his tiny little eyes a few times, looks at the cobble that sat on the crate next to him, and then looks back to you. You fucking what? [00:06:04] Speaker E: You heard me. I'm gonna need you to get in this sack. No fuss. [00:06:13] Speaker A: Musto's face indicates that he would like some fuss. So that's gonna be a away. Okay, you're in a controlled. I'm gonna start this as a controlled limited. As much as Musto loves you, and you are bezies, the thought of getting in a sack does not appeal to him much right now. [00:06:39] Speaker E: Can I push myself? [00:06:41] Speaker A: You can. So bear in mind. So you're starting at controlled limited. So you can switch it to risky standardization. You can even switch all the way to desperate, greater. For free. For free. Get the bag. [00:06:59] Speaker E: Okay, let's do. Let's do another desperate. What could go wrong? [00:07:03] Speaker A: Okay, right. [00:07:04] Speaker E: So, Frida, stress, isn't it, to push? [00:07:08] Speaker A: Yeah. So freedom is going for a sway, yet too stressed to push. So that's now a two dice, desperate, greater sway, grand. Regardless of what happens. The cobble sat on the crate takes umbrage with your plan. [00:07:32] Speaker D: Punch him. [00:07:33] Speaker A: So that is your devil's bargain. [00:07:35] Speaker D: Just punch him. [00:07:36] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah, that's fine. I'll take that devil spark in. [00:07:41] Speaker A: Okay, cool. So a three dice. [00:07:44] Speaker E: Let's do it. Three dice, desperate. Great. What could go wrong? Oh, boy. [00:07:50] Speaker A: Three dice, desperate. Greater sway. Go. Okay. A partial success. So you do it. But there's a consequence. You suffer severe harm, a serious complication occurs, or you have reduced effect. I'm going to say mustow just looks at you like you're speaking a different language at him. Like any like is his cheeks. His facial features, which already occupy a very small amount of space on the front of his head, seemingly shrink into an even smaller space as he scrunches his face up. In comprehension of what you're saying, and we'll say, because it was a desperate role, you fundamentally just kidnap him, goes over the goblin's head, and you hear, and as you, like, grab the air, like you fit, like the burlap sacks by his ankles, you swing it so he's now upside down, and as you swing this goblin over your shoulder, you hear him shouting from inside the cobble sat on the crate, like looks to you, and noticing that you've just kidnapped the boss, produces, like, takes that knife that he just cut the tip of his tongue with, and. And stabs you inside. Knife to the gut. Level two, harm, unless you want to resist. [00:09:37] Speaker E: Gonna bloody well resist that. I'm gonna bloody well resist that. How dare he? [00:09:44] Speaker A: Very dare. So it's a prowess. So it's a three dice resist, and this will drop it down to a slash to the ribs, slash to the side of. Okay, one, you suffer one stress, so that takes you up to four, and you have a slash to abdomen as this. Yeah, this cobble lunges at you, shouts, and you manage to kind of jump back, like, into a wall. And you hear moss. She was, like, squashing between you and the stone wall you've just batted him into. But you now have a must over arm in it, literally in hand. What's your plan? Are you high tailing it? [00:10:39] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm gonna just leg it, and I'm gonna. As I leg, I'm just gonna be like this as far as I won't go. [00:10:50] Speaker A: Okay, so you, as you turn, as you turn and bellow that and start hoofing it through the narrow, winding streets of rook Ridge, and it's just, you know, narrow enough that every time you take a turn, the bag swings out, and you hear, smashes into a brick wall, we will flash to you. Cavernous. This lanky figure is running in a light and a loping gate towards you with a maniacal face with this sickle waving wildly behind them. What are you doing in this exact moment? [00:11:32] Speaker C: I am going to whip out some. [00:11:39] Speaker D: You never know. [00:11:41] Speaker C: I'm gonna whip out in my loadout some trance powder. [00:11:46] Speaker A: Okay. [00:11:48] Speaker C: And I'm gonna whack that into his face. [00:11:52] Speaker D: Oh, you're not just taking a bump yourself or something, I hope. [00:11:56] Speaker C: I just go silently. So a dose of the popular drug, which induces an alternate mental state. The victim of this powder is not fully unconscious, but rather retreats into a calm, suggestible mental state similar to hypnosis. [00:12:12] Speaker F: I love that. [00:12:15] Speaker A: Okay, Romi, what skill are you kind of trying with this? I could argue for, like, a finesse to try and blow into their face at the right time. [00:12:33] Speaker C: Yeah, I guess, like, if I would say, like, a finesse to maneuver out of the way of his attack, but be able to still be able to grab the powder and blow it in his face to get him enough to be able to get it right in his. Right in his chops. [00:12:47] Speaker A: Okay, this individual is a tier two threat, so we're gonna start you on a risky lesser. [00:13:02] Speaker C: Risky lesser. Okay. [00:13:05] Speaker A: As they are one tier higher than. [00:13:06] Speaker C: You, I'm going to push myself. [00:13:11] Speaker A: Okay. [00:13:12] Speaker C: Get an extra dice, and we're going with finesse. Yeah, so what? [00:13:18] Speaker A: How do we imagine the chance powder works? Induces in an altered mental state. [00:13:26] Speaker C: So it just calms him down a bit, really. [00:13:28] Speaker D: Just chill him out of it. Make him a bit woozy, make him a bit more. [00:13:33] Speaker C: Well, make him suggestible so I can say, like, oh, you don't want to be doing that. None of that now. [00:13:40] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah. Risky. Lesser. [00:13:44] Speaker C: Lesser. And I. Can I change that to a desperate standard? [00:13:54] Speaker A: Yep. Oh. [00:13:58] Speaker C: You got one. [00:14:00] Speaker D: Got one die on this, though. [00:14:02] Speaker C: No, I've got two dice because I've got a clip in finesse. [00:14:04] Speaker D: You've got suits. One. One die. [00:14:07] Speaker C: Then I'm pushing myself. [00:14:10] Speaker E: Okay, give the poor man a devil's bargain, please. [00:14:15] Speaker A: Regardless of what happens, a second unfriendly faction arrives. [00:14:24] Speaker C: It's gonna be Dorothy, and she's gonna beat me up again. Yeah, go on, then. Do it. No, I'll do that for an extra dice. [00:14:45] Speaker D: Maybe they'll fight each other. [00:14:46] Speaker A: Yeah, maybe. [00:14:47] Speaker C: You never know. Uh, okay, that's three dice, desperate standard. [00:14:58] Speaker D: Look at this. Very, very good. [00:15:04] Speaker A: This figure launches at you. Um, and as they, like, as they soar through the air, they pass by an illuminated window for long enough that you notice this sickly grey, almost dead, like pallor to their skin. And there's a moment where you feel just naturally reviled at this thing because this thing is, isn't a normal person. And as they fly towards you and like they land heavily on 1ft and the sickle swings out in an arc, you manage to duck out of the way and come back to blow the dust. The transpowder in their face and the spirit, the individual kind of rocks back like covering their face slightly, screaming. And you watch as the trance powder seemingly begins to burn pock marks across the skin on their face. And they rock. And so I thrash and like eyes clenched shuts, begins swinging wildly at you and staggering backwards and forwards. The. Yeah, you don't know what's happened, but whatever is mixed in with this transpiled is seemingly having some sort of serious adverse effect on this creature. And like cursing and spluttering, you have an opportunity to leg. Yes. You turn to run and you barrel straight into like, you only get a few steps before you barrel into the Loravar man in the long coat and high collar that was tailing you earlier. [00:17:16] Speaker D: Oh. [00:17:21] Speaker A: So I'm just going to go ahead and complete this EIC investigation as. Yeah. You pour like your body into them and with such force that the two of you are knocked to the ground before you manage to scrabble back to your feet. And like they look to you and like seeing this creature, like seeing this person on the corner, sort of like holding their face, screaming bloody murder. Like this Laura of our man looks to you with a. With a, like a determined frown on his face. Um, Algernon, you can hear some interesting things through the gossipers. Hearing. [00:18:11] Speaker B: What do you do, Catherine? Situation report. Having fun on your street corner? [00:18:20] Speaker C: Not as much as I wish I would be. Give me a moment. [00:18:28] Speaker A: Why? You hear the sound of cavern? Like, it sounds like caverns. Heavy breathing. There's a panting coming through on the gospel's earrings, but it sounds like something is up. What's what you think, Kevin? [00:18:43] Speaker B: Do you need help? [00:18:45] Speaker E: Maybe. [00:18:49] Speaker B: I give this signal to both you. Both of you to follow up. [00:18:53] Speaker C: Okay, do we smiling right in front of this Laura Vaz face. [00:18:58] Speaker D: Do we know what direction apart from Dustry Hill? Do we know whereabouts industrial hill he was headed? Because we could go in that direction. [00:19:08] Speaker C: I would say in a flashback I would have told you where I usually meet these keepers. [00:19:12] Speaker D: So yeah, I'm gonna look at her and then I guess we start running. [00:19:17] Speaker A: Okay, so the two of you break off into a full on sprint towards like caverns last known location. And like, as the two of you, like, hurtle through the streets. You're weaving between the. Well, you're kind of weaving between the market carts that are just sort of, like, parked at the side, ready for tomorrow's trading. You can see a couple of the other work, you know, late night workers heading back home to their families and, like, suspicious looks. Kind of catch you as you run through this kind of district of Alicia and Cavern. In this moment, you've just kind of collided with this Loravar. This Lorovar looks like he's looking backwards and forwards. Looks like he's trying to kind of lock you down as well, trying to intercept you. What do you do, Kevin? [00:20:20] Speaker C: I think Katherine is just going to ask us. I think he's just going to ask him. Just say, like, you were. You were following us earlier on. [00:20:28] Speaker A: The. The Loravar man kind of, like, stands up, and you're a person of interest, and we're taking you in. [00:20:39] Speaker B: Oh, can I. Can I hear what other people are saying over the earrings? I can't. [00:20:45] Speaker A: Like, you can hear what cabin's saying. Yes. [00:20:49] Speaker B: Okay. But not what the guy's saying to him. [00:20:57] Speaker C: Would I know that he's a member of the EIC or not? Would I just not know? [00:21:03] Speaker A: Looking him up and down, it's abundant. Like the planes. Clothes are a bit too planes closed the relatively stuffy nature. There's a certain Algon vibe coming from this man. And you wonder if he is part of the secret police. Yeah. [00:21:18] Speaker C: Okay. Um, in that case, Cavern is gonna say over the air, he's just gonna go like, um. And who says? Who says I'm being taken in? [00:21:33] Speaker A: Laura looks to you. He's. He seems like he's in a bit of a hurry to take you down. So you can roll me a a risky level sway to try and get this guy to keep talking. Yes, I can. Hold on. [00:21:53] Speaker B: I would. I would like to assist. [00:21:59] Speaker A: With the foresight. [00:22:01] Speaker B: Yes, with my foresight ability. [00:22:04] Speaker A: Okay. I mean, how. How is that? How did you. Do you have a premonition, or do you. Do you know this? Jack? [00:22:10] Speaker B: I think having noticed some suspicious people following my crew, I've got, like, a little. A little list of all of them. [00:22:19] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. [00:22:21] Speaker B: And in the earring, I'm just going to say to Kevin, does he have blonde hair or brunette? [00:22:32] Speaker C: Does he have them? [00:22:35] Speaker A: Dealers choice. [00:22:36] Speaker C: I'm gonna say he's brunette. [00:22:40] Speaker B: And would you say he's more handsome than me or less? [00:22:44] Speaker C: Oh, definitely less, Algernon. Definitely. [00:22:48] Speaker B: Okay. You should tell him that. It would be an awful shame if his mother missed the delivery for her medicine. [00:22:59] Speaker C: I say that as I add an extra dice to my sway. [00:23:03] Speaker A: Okay. [00:23:04] Speaker C: Risky standard. [00:23:06] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:23:06] Speaker E: Okay. [00:23:12] Speaker D: Not bad. [00:23:13] Speaker A: Success. As you say this, the man in front of you sort of like, stops for a moment and like. Like, there's a flicker of shock and, like, fear in his face that then kind of gives way to one of, like, frustrated anger. How did you know? He says. And as he tries to sort of, like, read you, the complication is that as this is happening, the screaming from the individual just attack you begins to subside. Oh, unless you wish to resist. [00:23:59] Speaker C: No. [00:24:03] Speaker A: In which case, like, as this Laura Var says, how did you know that cavern in the corner of your eye, you see the, like, the lanky, slinky figure just like, stop writhing as much as they were. And, like, they turn and look at the you. And in the purple light of the. The void that's raining down on you, you can see that this transpower, for some reason, has just scorched through the skin to reveal what looks like old rotting bone and, like, old stringy muscle underneath. And this creature looks to you with these kind of burning, burning eyes that kind of flicker from a reddish to a purplish kind of hue. [00:24:49] Speaker D: Is he a zombie? [00:24:52] Speaker A: And now no longer, like, affected by the powder that you've kind of blown on him, the figure begins kind of loping towards you, like, arms swinging, like, swaying heavily, like a deep, guttural breathing coming from its mouth. Frida, we find you. You rolled a success. So you are, like, blowing your way through the streets of Rookridge, using your kind of childhood knowledge to know which turns to take. And you can hear the sounds of pursuit behind you. Seemingly, the cobbles have led by the. The one that's just slashed you across the midriff. They are giving chase as you're heading through the streets with a. With a must over, getting more and more disgruntled and disheveled with every footstep you take. And what are you doing to, like, stay ahead of them, to combat them? Like, what are you doing to make your. To complete the mission? [00:26:08] Speaker E: Um, yeah, I'm definitely relying on my knowledge, um, you know, darting down all the. The sort of alleyways and. And sort of, like, bolt holes that I would have used as my youth doing nefarious things. I think I'll be taking some, like, interesting routes. So maybe, like, you know, like, I'll dart down an alley that has seemingly got, like, a dead end, but then I'll be like, you know, just hauling old mustow in his sack. Over the wall and then, like, clambering up over myself and like, to sort of put as much distance as I can between me and my pursuers. [00:26:56] Speaker A: Okay. That. Huh? What does that sound like? [00:27:01] Speaker E: It sounds. I don't know whether it could be possibly a finesse. [00:27:07] Speaker A: It sounds finet. Yeah. Dexterous manipulation or subtle misdirection. Alternatively, a prowl is you traverse skillfully and quietly. [00:27:20] Speaker E: I'm not being quiet about it. I'm trying to. I'm just trying to be, like. I'm trying to be speeding that, like, kind of parkour way. [00:27:29] Speaker A: Parkour? [00:27:31] Speaker C: Yeah. Are you shouting barcode? [00:27:35] Speaker A: I mean, depending how brash you're being, I would even entertain a wreck. Like, if you getting mossed out over a wall involves you just hurling this sack over him and then just. [00:27:49] Speaker E: Oh, yeah. And then, like, maybe, like, you know, with, you know, going down an alley and, like, you know, there's, like, freight stacked up. I'm. I'm ramming them back behind me to, like, you know, ensure that, like. Yeah, they sort of disrupts their path as much as possible. [00:28:07] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm happy to. If you want to roll wreck. I'm happy for a wreck. Things have escalated. So we're gonna move you down to a risky. We're gonna say risky standard, mainly because, you know, the streets. [00:28:23] Speaker E: Okay, can I make this easier for myself in some way? [00:28:30] Speaker A: So you can push it. You can move it to a desperate crater. You can tell you what. What we'll do is we will give you a 06:00 called Frieda escapes, and I will match it with a Frieda cornered. Okay. [00:28:58] Speaker E: I think I'm just gonna go for. I think I've pushed it on the desperate a little bit, so I'm just gonna go for a regular roll this time. So, risky standard. No modifier, but okay. Should have pushed it. [00:29:18] Speaker A: Okay. So things go badly, a complication occurs. I'm going to move the Frieda cornered clock up two segments unless you wish to resist. So, as you hurl, mustow over a wall, and, like, as you go to scrabble, you slip slightly, and the time that you lose, kind of getting over the wall. Musto has begun to emerge from the sack looking like he's just been hauled through rook reach in a burlap sack. And, yeah, you have to spend more time, like, grabbing his. Pushing the pork by hat he wears verbally on his head, back in the sack. [00:30:05] Speaker E: Okay, I tell you what. It's two segments. I'm gonna leave it for now. [00:30:09] Speaker A: Okay. In which case, as you shove him back in the bag. You hear him? Go. We got this out. Okay, so, yeah, you continue on. As you keep on going, please feel free to tell me how you're. How you're attempting to escape. So you can hear the sounds of the cobbles approaching closer. You. You know, you see up ahead that you're coming up to a crossroads, and there is what appears to be torch light coming from the left, which you sort suspect. Maybe the torch is carried by city watch. Alternatively, they may just be someone making their way home. Yeah, there is. There is someone up on the left, up ahead, but. Yeah. How are you. How are you tackling this? [00:31:08] Speaker E: I'm gonna barrel. I'm gonna. I'm gonna hedge my bets and say no. Okay? I'm gonna. I'm gonna hope that it's just some rando, and as I go past, I'm gonna grab their torch and, like, fling it behind me. [00:31:25] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. [00:31:27] Speaker E: Preferably onto. Onto some flammable things in the way of me and my pursuers. [00:31:33] Speaker A: What skill were you thinking? There's a part me that feels like. That's kind of skirmishy. [00:31:42] Speaker E: It's fighty, isn't it? [00:31:45] Speaker A: Skirmish or finesse, I would argue. [00:31:48] Speaker E: Let's do skirmish, because I've got more pips in that. Okay, and this one, because my last sort of attempt didn't go well. I am gonna. I'm gonna push myself for an extra die. [00:31:59] Speaker A: Okay, so that takes you up. So again, we'll say stand it. Every risky standard you can. Make it desperate grater, if you so wish, but that will take you up to one extra dice. Three dice total. [00:32:12] Speaker E: Let's just do a risky standard for now. I think. I'm sure we do a greater. What do we think? What do you think, lads? [00:32:20] Speaker D: That's how spicy you're feeling. You're quite, quite stressed. I don't hate to think of anything happening to you, this goes badly. [00:32:31] Speaker E: All right, we'll do risky standard. [00:32:33] Speaker A: Okay. [00:32:38] Speaker D: Only sixes. It's all good. [00:32:41] Speaker A: Um, at this moment, I will segue slightly. What's Algaenon doing? Where do we find Algernon right now? And is it potentially at a crossroads in Rookridge with you holding a torch? [00:33:03] Speaker D: Ogun has teleported across the map. [00:33:08] Speaker B: I mean, it could be. I'll take some stress to put myself there. [00:33:12] Speaker A: Okay, I will argue. Yeah, in exchange for. I'll say for two. Stress. Algernon, you've, like, you've know. With your encyclopedic knowledge of the streets, of. Alicia, you've kind of gotten an idea, like, if it's not where Katherine is. Then it's probably where Frieda isn't using your knowledge and sort like, oh, well, she's probably gonna be heading to Cadwallader or something. So if I. If I head down this very specific route, I'll intersect at this point here. In exchange for true stress, I can say that you are there. [00:33:53] Speaker B: I will take it, and we'll say that it was the plan all along. [00:33:58] Speaker A: Marvelous. Okay, so, Frieda, in which case you arrive at this crossroads and you sort of, like, spin around the corner, and Algernon, you see Frieda in what I can only describe as a frenetic frenzy, and, like, she goes to reach for. What is it you're carrying? Like, a torch, a lantern? [00:34:20] Speaker B: It's just like a simple. A simple torch with a rag. Oily rag. [00:34:28] Speaker A: Okay, so, yeah, Frida, Frieda playing the. [00:34:31] Speaker B: Old soldier, the old wounded veteran routine that I was doing back on remembrance stage. [00:34:36] Speaker A: Very good. Very, very good. Okay, Frieda, in which case they use you. Come around the corner, and, like, Algernon is just there in front of you. By all means, you can still grab the torch and launch it behind you to slow down your pursuers, or you can stop yourself in case you accidentally punch him in the face. [00:34:56] Speaker E: I'm gonna. I'm still gonna go for the trash. Algernon, I need to borrow this. [00:35:02] Speaker A: Okay? [00:35:03] Speaker E: Yeah. And I take it and I'm gonna hurl it. Hurl it towards the. [00:35:07] Speaker A: Whether or not you agree, Algernon, the torch is snatched from your hand and hurled down the street. And you see it rolls alongside a barrel that's leaking the 3d that you clocked and the relatively high proof homebrew, like mushroom whiskey, like mushroom moon juice, moonshine. It, like, goes up in flames. And you can see silhouettes on the other side of flames, like, come to a stop as they try to navigate. Frieda and Algernon, you have a musto in tow. Magpie and Atta, you, like, potentially somewhat out of breath as you just had to rip through a city's district as quickly as you can. As you come around a corner, you see Cavern stood between this Loravar man in a long coat with a high collar and this loping thing, sprinting towards the two of them with now blazing purple eyes between the two of you, what do you do? [00:36:24] Speaker D: Does Atta have a plan here? Because if not, Magpie's just gonna run forward and draw her blade, I think. [00:36:36] Speaker F: No particular plans. I think Atta's not gonna. Not gonna try and call down a ghost for help just yet, but maybe do some wrecking. [00:36:49] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. Who does Cavern seem in the most imminent danger from? Presumably the orchestra guy. [00:36:59] Speaker A: The figure swinging a sickle around. Yeah, the figure running up. There's something wrong with this individual. [00:37:10] Speaker D: Yeah. I'm probably gonna try and run sort of leap so that I'm between this figure, this charging figure, and cavern with my blade out, ready to. I guess it's either skirmish or finesse, depending on this. [00:37:28] Speaker A: Sounds like a skirmish. If you're interjecting between this figure and cavern, we can begin the sword fight. [00:37:35] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:37:39] Speaker A: Please roll me a. You see, as this figure runs, you kind of. Who is it that trained you to use your rapier? [00:37:50] Speaker D: I don't think it would have been Samuel. He was more into the sort of sneaky stuff, but I think so it wouldn't have been during childhood. It would have been later. Started learning to fight. Do I need to sort of declare a. Officially declare a contact or anything like that? [00:38:13] Speaker A: No, no, not at all. [00:38:14] Speaker D: No. [00:38:15] Speaker A: If it's just something that you picked up as. [00:38:16] Speaker D: Yeah, I think so. It's something I picked up a bit. A bit later. [00:38:20] Speaker A: Okay. In which case, you notice as this thing moves towards you, it's moving quite unnaturally, like, there's a heavy slump on the. Like the flat footed, like, steps that it's taking as it kind of launches towards you. Yeah. And it seems completely unconcerned with its own safety as the. As its arm comes out in this wild swing with this sickle foot trailing behind it. Please roll me a start you on a risky lesser. Because they are a higher tier than you. [00:39:02] Speaker D: I'd like to swap it to a desperate standard. [00:39:06] Speaker A: Okay, please. Very good. Yes, desperate standard. [00:39:09] Speaker D: Desperate standard. And I should probably push myself because this guy seems dangerous, and he's also. He's also quite a high tier two. [00:39:27] Speaker A: He's a higher tier than you, so he's tier two. [00:39:30] Speaker D: So I'm gonna give myself one extra die, and it'll be a desperate take. [00:39:33] Speaker A: Up to three dice standard regardless of what happens. [00:39:39] Speaker D: Yes. [00:39:40] Speaker A: The fight draws even more attention. [00:39:44] Speaker D: That's fine. I will take that. Right, so. So plus two die dice, desperate status. [00:39:54] Speaker A: Yep. [00:39:55] Speaker D: Oh, dear. Okay, only six is this session people telling you? [00:40:05] Speaker A: Okay, so describe to me how you, like, divert the attention, how you strike at this. This individual. [00:40:14] Speaker D: Um, yeah, I sort of. I think, yeah. Magpie rushes in, takes up a fighting stance in front of cavern, and as this guy just comes sort of swinging wildly, I think she's going to sort of very deftly duck out of the way of this swing and come up with a jab into its squishy parts. [00:40:37] Speaker A: Sternum. Yeah, why not? [00:40:39] Speaker D: Why not? [00:40:40] Speaker A: In which case, atta, you watch as this, this man, question mark swings wildly at Magpie. And you watch her just sort of like duck and roll. And then in a blur of dark blue cloak, magpie surges up and drop. You drive the rapier between the ribs and you feel like Atta. You watch the coat of this man billow out of slightly at the back as the point erupts from his back. And the creature, the man like, stops for a moment and the arms falls limply at their side. And then the figure looks up to you and you can see exposed teeth and ligament through what appears to be burnt flesh on the side of its face. And these two piercing, glowing purple eyes. And the face twists into this erectus grin. You, you would do well to join the cacophony as well, girl. And the figure launches itself backwards, straight off the length of your rapier blade. And you notice that there is no blood along its definitely dead. [00:42:01] Speaker D: Okay, cool. [00:42:03] Speaker A: But you have managed to, you did desperate. So you've managed to push it all the way back to zero as the, the figure like, moves back towards you, but the angle, you suspect that perhaps you've torn or cut through some sort of ligament. Because like, the arm that's holding the sickle is now just hanging limply. And like, it seems like he goes to swing at you, but the arm just flaps uselessly at its side. Atta, what are you doing to help? Cavern is still entangled with this man. With this loravar man. [00:42:41] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:42:43] Speaker A: Than the other, I should point out. [00:42:45] Speaker F: For sure. For sure. I feel like I might want to do some kind of flashback. [00:42:52] Speaker A: Yes. [00:42:52] Speaker F: And maybe the flashback is how do the Eric communicate? Is it through devices of some description, messages, meetings? [00:43:10] Speaker A: Yeah, all of the above. I guess you wouldn't be surprised if they also had some form of like, long range communication devices similar to what you've got with the gospel's ear, but perhaps a bit less flowery. [00:43:26] Speaker F: Okay, maybe. I think the flashback is. I was thinking about a couple of different things. The options are flashback to atta after hearing cavernous is in trouble with the EIC. Some kind of like bizarre atta arcane interference device. And she's putting out a signal over the EIC radio comms. That songbird has been sighted in this area alongside like some trouble of some description. Or the other alternative is previously atom messed with the fire alarms for one of the factories around the area. And there's basically a fire alarm gathering. [00:44:22] Speaker A: I like the sound of that first one. [00:44:25] Speaker F: I'm sure you do. But I don't know whether bringing all the EIC here, I'm trying to give us like a. A kind of out. [00:44:33] Speaker E: You could always direct them. You could always direct them to, like, a close but different district. [00:44:41] Speaker F: I want them to come and collect their other EIC member for a more important wanted person, essentially. [00:44:47] Speaker E: If he's listening in. [00:44:49] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:44:50] Speaker E: Then he might get the call to, like, got what he's doing and go do something more important. [00:44:56] Speaker F: Yeah. I think as ata, then. Okay. As Ata's round in the corner, sees an EIC person, like the previous message flashback that she put out about songbirds being cited. All units, all units. All units head towards any other kind of area in this district. Just any that isn't cavernous. [00:45:22] Speaker A: Sounds very tinkery. And given how apropos this is for Atta, I won't. I won't charge you any stress. So I will say it's a risky standard to begin. [00:45:33] Speaker F: Okay, risky standard. Can I. [00:45:37] Speaker A: So you can switch to desperate greater devil's bargain. [00:45:45] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:45:45] Speaker A: You did go for devil's bargain, didn't you, Junior? Yes. Devil's bargain. Well, regardless of what happens, it's not just the EIC that hear this message. [00:45:55] Speaker F: Jeez. Yeah, why not? Yeah, give me that. Regardless of what happens. [00:46:02] Speaker A: Regardless of what happens. [00:46:04] Speaker F: Regardless of what happens. That's the thing. That's the phrase that gets us, is we don't. Regardless, it's just gonna happen. Just gonna happen. Fuck. Um. [00:46:18] Speaker A: Fuck. Fuck. [00:46:20] Speaker F: Um. I guess more chaos is not bad. Maybe they can take on this. Take on this one blow. Okay, I'm gonna add a die. That keep risky standard? I think so. [00:46:34] Speaker A: It'll be. Yeah, one extra dice. Uh, are you going risky standard? Are you switching up to desperate greater? [00:46:40] Speaker F: I'm going risky standard because if I push myself, I can't push myself without getting trauma, now can I? [00:46:47] Speaker A: Yeah. Three dice. So if you go desperate greater, I. [00:46:52] Speaker F: Will have friends in trouble. [00:46:56] Speaker E: Join. [00:46:59] Speaker D: Traumatize yourself. Come on. [00:47:01] Speaker F: If I don't get trauma now, I won't get trauma in the. [00:47:05] Speaker C: I should be able to help you in some sort of way. I can give you an extra dice. [00:47:10] Speaker A: How does Katherine want to help? [00:47:13] Speaker C: Um. [00:47:14] Speaker A: And or Algernon, if you want to throw in that second foresight. [00:47:20] Speaker E: You know, what you're doing is pretty reckless. You can. You can join freedom. [00:47:26] Speaker D: Don't do it. You only get one downtime activity when you trimmed. But then they get rid of no no. No, you don't. No, sorry, I was wrong about that. You have to relieve stress every downtime or you get more stress, which we're. [00:47:41] Speaker E: All having to do anyway because we're all stressed to the back. Bloody teeth. [00:47:45] Speaker F: True. [00:47:46] Speaker D: It's true. [00:47:48] Speaker A: So, yeah, what's. What's that a doing? What's that a thinking? What's Kevin thinking for help? [00:47:54] Speaker C: I think there was maybe a flashback. That cavern did inform atta that there was someone following us, and maybe that's where she was linking two and two together. And so you said, like, oh, I better. [00:48:06] Speaker B: I can do that for free. Helps. Like, I can be the one who's sort of. I'm already putting this little dossier together of the people who are following us. [00:48:15] Speaker D: Okay, nice, nice. [00:48:17] Speaker A: Okay, so in which case, if Algernon's helping for free, perhaps it's a good location for where songbird. Like a handy location to redirect EIC operatives to. Okay, that tracks. So, Atta, you're now up to two extra dice. So it's a four dice tinker. You could go desperate greater if you wanted. And regardless what happens, someone else hears your call, that songbird incited. [00:48:47] Speaker F: I want that desperate. Come on, let's say two. Two extra dice. I'm doing great. Desperate grater. We're going to see what happens as. [00:48:55] Speaker A: Atta gets another desperate tinker. Noise. [00:49:00] Speaker E: Smashed it all six. Okay, I think Dan's turned off the be mean to them. Setting in boundary. [00:49:11] Speaker A: So, ata, what does this device that kind of gives this message, like, what is it youre. Is it like another gossiper earring style thing that you can. Or like a walkie talkie that like, invades the other people's. [00:49:28] Speaker F: Yeah, I think it's. I think it's because we. We made the ghost bottle walkie talkie recently as well. Yeah, I think that has been attempting to make like, a more portable version of that in order to do other things properly. And I think. Yeah, I don't think. Yes, it's like a, like a. She tunes into the various frequencies and kind of. I think she just blasts it instead of, like, choosing a specific. She kind of goes across all the frequencies. It's onward. [00:50:13] Speaker A: Very, very good. In which case, like, you watch as this EIC operative flinches suddenly, as if someone just shouted at great volume in his ear and like, holding a hand near his ear for a moment, there's a look of confusion on his face, and then, cavern, you notice that he looks to you, looks at attract this goblin and ace of our woman that just turned up. And the figure that just got skewered and seems okay, and he just sort of like, takes one step back, takes another, glances at you all again, and then begins scurrying off in the dislike in the direction of Spire park. And as he goes, the. The lanky figure, sort of like with this limp, hanging hand, this limp hanging arm at his side, looks to you, you magpie. And he. He's still got that erectus grin on his face. And you watch as he slowly runs this dry tongue across his teeth. And then his attention is caught by the running agent towards wire park. And then he. Unfortunately, perhaps today is not your day. And he begins sloping off after the EIC agent instead, the glint of the sickle kind of flapping behind him as his arm kind of hangs loosely. But as you go, you watch as the arm seemingly begins to, like, regain some sense of control. And before long, you see him and he's almost kind of bounding along on all four limbs after this EIC agent that's desperately making his way towards fire park. [00:52:14] Speaker D: I don't like it. [00:52:17] Speaker A: Cavern, you have been saved. [00:52:22] Speaker B: My hero. [00:52:25] Speaker A: We will smash cut back to Algernon and Frieda. So you have six pips of a escape clock to fill. Algernon, how are you first starting this? [00:52:40] Speaker B: So as the cobbles who are chasing Frieda are sort of avoiding the fire, they're going to. They're going to bump into an old soldier limping along with his cane, and he's. And I'm going to say she went that way. [00:53:05] Speaker A: Okay, that sounds very good. [00:53:09] Speaker B: And I know that the. The communities here in the Rookridge are particularly tight knit, working class communities. Snitches get stitches, sort of thing. So I'm going to play at that. That angle. [00:53:24] Speaker A: Okay, that sounds very, very good. That sounds quite swayy. Or are you going to argue for something else? [00:53:37] Speaker B: I say, yeah, I think sway is fair because I'm sort of lying to them. [00:53:41] Speaker A: Okay, we will start you on a risky standard. Regardless of what happens. You lapse into a foresight withdrawal momentarily. [00:54:00] Speaker B: Yeah, I like. Okay, and what's my reward? [00:54:05] Speaker A: I get to one extra dice or upgrade. So you start the risky sound, you can switch the desperate greater for free, and you get one extra upgrade. Regardless if you're taking the desperate, if you're taking the devil's bargain, I think. [00:54:19] Speaker B: I'm gonna up the dice with the devil's bargain, and then I'm gonna fall a ball to add an extra effect level to. Great, so it's risky. Great. [00:54:27] Speaker A: Risky. Great. Okay, so one extra dice takes you to two. Roll them, bones. [00:54:35] Speaker D: Very good. [00:54:37] Speaker A: Partial success. Okay, so you do it. There's a consequence. You add two segments to the escape clock, the free ganon escapes clock. And like Frieda, you glance over your shoulder. It's difficult because musto is really thrashing in this burlap. But you see, like Algernon, like having just redirected what seems to be a large chunk of the. The cobble. Pursuant. And like algernon, turns look to you and begins moving. But Frieda, you glance ahead and notice a watch patrol come round the corner of the alleyway in front of you. And now are like, directly in your path. And as you curse Algernon, you, as you sort of, like, you know, do your best to keep up with frieda, who's going at pace, you hear alcanon in your ear, a voice from behind you. And as you glance to look at who said that voice? Because it's a very familiar voice. You see in the crossroads an ace of our woman with sunglasses and long black hair cascading down her shoulders. And she tilts her head slightly. And the more you look at her, your vision starts to quiver. You hear? And the sound of a heart. The heartbeats getting louder and louder as your vision begins to shake more and more violently. And you feel your limbs freezing up, almost as if they're frozen in spot. And as you glance down, you notice what appears to be this jagged, red, crystalline substance creeping up from the ends of your fingers and up your forearms. And then you're back in the alleyway with Frieda bellowing out at you. What are you doing, Frida? [00:57:17] Speaker E: Um, I'd actually like to also utilize a bit of a flashback. Yes, to say that I bought spiked armor. But I do think we arranged some quick getaway transport in the form of a. Like a. Essentially a taxicab. Something that would be quite inconspicuous on the street. And I'm hoping that if I see the watch in front of me, the taxi cab is down like an adjacent street. So while we dart down this adacent street and sort of bundle musto and myself and Algernon into the back of the taxi, the watch will continue on and get distracted by the fire that we've created behind her. [00:58:18] Speaker A: Could I offer an alternative to that taxicab of sorts? Because as you're running up through Rookridge, you know that you're coming up to the two bridges that cross over the river and you have a set of crew members who pilot a barge. [00:58:33] Speaker E: We do. We do. Okay, I'm gonna haul mustow over the side of the bridge into the back of this boat and then grab Alganon and the both of us are gonna jump down ourselves. [00:58:50] Speaker A: What? Well, bear in mind you've still got these. There's the group of watch. Or are you just kind of like, ducking away down a different route to get to the barge? [00:59:01] Speaker E: Um, are they like on the other side of the river? [00:59:04] Speaker A: No. So they are. So you're heading up an alleyway, but it's one of the alleyways that will, like, at the end of it, you get to the river's edge. So yeah, you'll be on the river front. They're right in front of you, like blocking away. So you could either go through them, you could go around them with the flashback. We now know that your new escape extraction point is the barge. Alternatively, one of your crew is also an arsonist explosive expert who is woefully underutilized, I feel. [00:59:38] Speaker E: Oh, okay. Yeah, well, it's fine because our. Our lovely demolition expert, dynamite Dylan. [00:59:51] Speaker B: I mean, she exists already. [00:59:52] Speaker A: Her name. [00:59:53] Speaker B: She exists already, man. [00:59:54] Speaker D: She's a pre existing character. [00:59:56] Speaker E: Oh, is she? Does she have a name? [00:59:58] Speaker A: She got a picture and everything. [00:59:59] Speaker D: That could be her nickname though. Dynamite Dylan. Maybe that's what she gets. [01:00:02] Speaker E: Dynamite Dylan. Now. Beans. Beans is going. [01:00:06] Speaker A: You collectively chose her. [01:00:10] Speaker B: There was a vote. [01:00:12] Speaker D: There was. [01:00:13] Speaker C: Her name is Fiends, but she's trying to get everyone to call her dynamite Dylan. And no one's taking it because it sounds stupid. [01:00:20] Speaker D: Exactly. [01:00:23] Speaker E: Is it fiends or fiends like Ray Fiends. Oh, okay, so Fiends is gonna distract the shit out of these. These guards by sending a few fireworks way. Oh, yeah, I remember her now. [01:00:40] Speaker A: She's holding the bomb. Okay, so she loves novels. Yeah. And destruction. So is fiends providing some sort of distraction, explosion. Her speciality, I might add? [01:00:56] Speaker E: Yes, yes. [01:00:57] Speaker A: Okay, fiends. You know what? I'm. So she's tier one because she's part of your crew. I feel like she's gonna push herself because after, you know, she's on rocky ground, like, she's due to fail her probation if she carries on the same way. So she's gonna push herself. I'm wondering whether she would take the devil's bargain of she accidentally air quotes, uses too much explosive. [01:01:31] Speaker D: Ah. [01:01:34] Speaker E: I mean, if it ends up with, like, the city watch being blown to pieces, that's no, you know, great loss. [01:01:40] Speaker A: Cool. She's gonna take her devil's bargain, roll three dice and fuck. [01:01:48] Speaker E: Fucking fiends. [01:01:50] Speaker D: Fiend. Fiends didn't. [01:01:51] Speaker C: Fiend is the reason why we don't use her to. [01:01:54] Speaker D: She didn't get the only sixes memo. [01:01:56] Speaker E: Do you know what can she resist? We. We should have employed that dynamite, Dylan. It would have been better. Wow. [01:02:04] Speaker A: Um, right, you see this group of, um, this group of guard ahead of you. Um, and like they see you running towards them with a burlap sack that seems to be moving and screaming. Um, with uh, there's an ace of our. The safe old man behind you. And you see this like really large kind of like in this moment, like time slows down and you kind of hyper focus on what's happening in front of you, Frida, as like the adrenaline's kicking in and like, you see a fiend special like, nor like lift up over the edge of the, like the barrier that stops you from falling into the river. Like, you see it kind of crest over the edge like the morning sun that you obviously haven't seen in years. And like you realize, oh, this is like, it's gonna soar over this barrier and like land in amongst them and it's gonna be glorious to watch the explosion. And you watch as this bomb sores up, begins arcing back down and hits the barrier and just flips backwards the way it came back into the water. And in the distance you hear shit. And there's an explosion. There's a plume of water as you hear this massive explosion. And as fiends has clearly not put enough oomph to get this bomb on to land in the first place. So you know what? I'm not gonna penalize anyone for that. Cuz I mean, fiends is already the penalty, isn't she? So what you gonna do now? But the guard now seem on high alert. If nothing else, you're welcome. [01:03:49] Speaker E: Okay, I'm gonna draw. I'm gonna just draw my bloodletting blade and I'm just gonna like fucking like. [01:04:04] Speaker A: Are you gonna shish kabob some? [01:04:06] Speaker D: She's not to be trifled with. [01:04:10] Speaker E: I am not to be trifolded. [01:04:13] Speaker D: Just take a down. [01:04:15] Speaker E: Good shout. [01:04:16] Speaker A: Yeah. So yeah, go for it. [01:04:18] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm gonna. I'm gonna do not to be trifle with. I'm gonna push myself to basically engage a small gang on equal footing in close combat with my bloodletting blade. It's time to cut some hamstrings. [01:04:34] Speaker A: They've just had a bomb thrown at them. So I'm going to start this on a desperate. Are you using? I assume you're using not to be trifled with. [01:04:44] Speaker E: Yes. [01:04:44] Speaker A: So you like the red mist descends whilst there are three of them? Not to be trifled with puts you on level pegging with them quite easily. So we will stop you on desperate standard. [01:04:57] Speaker E: Okay. I'm assuming this would be skirmish, right? [01:05:01] Speaker A: Yep, yep. Desperate standard skirmish. Are you pushing yourself? [01:05:05] Speaker E: Well, I was about to ask about the bloodletting blade, which I am going to use. I'm going to try and use it non lethally. [01:05:14] Speaker A: Okay, well. [01:05:18] Speaker E: Okay, so that will move. [01:05:20] Speaker A: You down to desperately limited. [01:05:22] Speaker E: Desperate will it? [01:05:23] Speaker A: Yes, if you're trying to use it non lethally. [01:05:26] Speaker E: Oh, okay. How much do we. How much do we care about the watch, guys? [01:05:34] Speaker F: We get more heat if we kill people. [01:05:36] Speaker C: Yeah, we are close to war with the guard as well. [01:05:39] Speaker B: Are we? [01:05:40] Speaker A: Yeah, not if they're all dead. [01:05:43] Speaker D: If they're all dead. Exactly. [01:05:47] Speaker E: Okay. Okay. [01:05:52] Speaker F: Follow your heart, Meg. [01:05:54] Speaker D: You're a reckless lady. [01:05:56] Speaker E: I am a reckless lad. [01:05:57] Speaker A: Regardless of what happens, there are more casualties than you were aiming for then you were bargaining for. [01:06:10] Speaker D: He wants to push us into war. Don't take it. Don't take it. [01:06:14] Speaker E: All right, okay. I'll calm it a little bit. I'm still gonna do. I think. I think, to be honest, running head on into them is pretty reckless anyway, so, yeah, I'm gonna do that. But instead of the. Instead of bloodletting blade, I will have my. My trusty knuckle dusters. [01:06:33] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:06:33] Speaker E: And, yeah, I'm gonna. I'm gonna go in swinging. And actually, I'm gonna use mustard as an improvised weapon, like punching with one hand and whamming like God with this. [01:06:47] Speaker D: And that's how we're gonna succeed at the mission. [01:06:50] Speaker A: Just. Just an aside, if you do want to use the bloodletting blade you've like, it calls to you in this moment as you feel. As you've opened up the wound on your cheek and you feel the blood running down, down and dripping onto your collarbone, as you have level two, harm. I will give you two extra dice if you use the bloodletting blade as it feeds on your own pain. So, to recap, if you do go for the bloodletting blade, you will start on two dice. Skirmish. Desperate standard or desperate limited? If you're going like non lethal devils. But you'll get plus two, because you have level two, harm. You will get. You've taken the devil. If you take the devil's bargain of, there are more casualties than you bargain for, that's another dice. And you've pushed yourself. [01:07:49] Speaker E: How upset we all going to be. If I accidentally. Frieda. Accidentally, like a through no fault of her own, starts tiny, tiny little war. [01:08:02] Speaker A: Bear in mind, if you go scur, if you go non lethal, you'll start on desperate limited. You'll be up to four dice because of your injuries. You could push yourself to the standard, you could devil's bargain, up to greater, and maybe of them will die. But. But you could non lethally be at four dice desperate standard. [01:08:28] Speaker E: If you push yourself, sod it. Let's do that. Let us do that. Let's take the two stress. Let's. Let's do it to desperate standard. And let's get those four dice in with scurry. [01:08:39] Speaker A: So, two extra dice. [01:08:42] Speaker E: Okay. Two extra dice plus two D. And it's desperate standard. Oh, boy. [01:08:52] Speaker A: Oh. [01:08:53] Speaker E: Oh, God. I really thought that was gonna be okay. [01:08:58] Speaker A: You have rolled a genuinely, just had. [01:09:00] Speaker E: A mini heart attack. [01:09:02] Speaker A: Suffer severe harm, a serious complication occurs, you have reduced effect. Okay, Algernon, you watch as Frieda draws this crude looking like broadsword, and she descends upon the. The. These poor, three poor watchmen with a fury you've not seen ever exhibit. And there are, like, arcing hacks with this blade. It sounds like you are kind of aiming at their, like, tendons and their ankles, right? Like their legs. Okay, so as you algae, assuming as you're hoping, this isn't as bad as you think it's looking. She looks like a butcher right now. A butcher in an abattoir. But by the time she's finished, whilst there's blood splattered up the walls of this alleyway and the three watch are on the ground, like, holding a, um. Mangled. Like, one's got a mangled foot. One's holding, uh. It looks like his Achilles tendons been cut. Um. And like Frieda, I'm a suit. I'm imagining. Let's. Let's go for this. Frida's just flat foot kicked the third over the balcony into the river. Um, and Sparta. Yes. Frieda is caked in blood. Um, we'll say reduced effect, two pips instead of three. Algon, take us home. [01:10:44] Speaker B: I like to think that Frieda's in a bloodlust, about to land a killing blow on one of the ones that's on the floor. And her sword is stopped by the tip of Arganon's cane. Frieda, enough. [01:11:04] Speaker A: Is that a command? [01:11:08] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm gonna command Frida, okay? [01:11:14] Speaker A: It's like four talking sentence of a hulk. Okay? So we will start you on a risky standard, as Frieda looks at you. She's not drunk. One of her rage essences that, you know, she. So she is still agreeable to a certain extent. Regardless of what happens. One of these. Watch. Remember your face. This is faces. [01:11:52] Speaker B: Fine. [01:11:55] Speaker A: So you. Risky standard or desperate? Greater. Everyone's getting in on the action. Greater. [01:12:03] Speaker E: This is like. I mean, I know I've done, like, three deaths. This. This, like, this session. [01:12:10] Speaker A: So seven so far in total. [01:12:12] Speaker E: Is there seven across us there? Wow. [01:12:17] Speaker D: That kind of session. [01:12:21] Speaker B: Yeah. Let's go. [01:12:22] Speaker A: Desperate. [01:12:24] Speaker B: I haven't done one yet. I've missed. I've got fomo. [01:12:27] Speaker D: I'm trying to think if there's any way I could help, like, through a flashback or something, because I've got a bit of stress to play with, but I don't know. [01:12:44] Speaker A: So we're on a two dice. Desperate. Greater. [01:12:48] Speaker B: Let's do command. [01:12:52] Speaker A: Are you taking the devil's bargain? [01:12:54] Speaker B: So it's the devil's bargain, in addition, going desperate, correct. [01:12:58] Speaker A: Yes. So that you could start. Yeah, yeah. [01:13:02] Speaker B: Cool. It's gotta work. [01:13:05] Speaker D: Oh, it does kind of work. [01:13:09] Speaker A: A partial success off the back of a five. And I will impose a reduced effect to drop three segments to two, which completes the escape clock. [01:13:22] Speaker C: Right. [01:13:23] Speaker A: So as you stare down Frieda and commander to stop, like, your cane kind of parrying the tip of her bloodletting blade. And you say to her, I. Well, Frieda, like, you hear this, and what is it about Algalm that calms you in this moment that brings you back down to earth, back down to elsewhere? [01:13:45] Speaker E: Genuinely, I think it's like looking into the eyes of a friend that Frieda trusts, basically makes her recognize, like, the humanity in. In her friend. And then she's about to essentially do something that will. That she can't return, you know, to take, because that's something she hasn't. She's never. [01:14:18] Speaker A: In which case, yeah, as you, like, as you brought back down, like, the world, your field of vision, like, returns to normal, having just been in that kind of red rage state. You see Algernon, like, staring up to you with this commanding look and remembering, like, remembering what is you're doing. The two of you, unceremoniously. Mustow goes over the barrier onto the barge in the river below. You hear Mustow swear loudly. The two of you hop in. And Roth. Roth looks exasperated at the helm of this barge and, like, fiends, is just stood in the corner with the tips of her toes kind of touching because her feet are bent inwards and she's, like, looking. Looking at the ground, quite bashful. And then as the two of you drop into the. She looks up to him. I helped, she says very weakly. And as the barge, as wroth kind of kicks a barge off to head for like the hiding spot that you're going to put Musto in one of the city watch, the one holding his one holding his severed Achilles tendon just rocks backwards and forwards going. Her name was Frieda. He called her Frida. [01:15:45] Speaker C: Her name was Frieda. [01:15:46] Speaker A: He called her Frieda. As if that's the only thing getting him through the pain. And elsewhere in Alicia Cavern, Magpie and Atta, as you tear your way through the city streets, what is the route that you're taking on? I assume not through Spire park as you. That's the way that the individual went as. [01:16:15] Speaker D: As quiet and, you know, unobtrusive. A route as possible, sure. [01:16:21] Speaker A: In which case as you're like making with all speed through waterside and you know, you're going to loop round through Rook Ridge and then up into Dusklam to rendezvous with the others. As you are halfway across the bridges that you started on like haggard and out of breath, you take a moment to gather yourselves. Atta, you feel well. The three of you feel the bridge under your feet begin to shake violently and as you look each other and sort like grab onto one another, grab onto the sides to steady yourself like Magpie as you're looking around trying to figure out what on earth is happening, this feels like an earthquake. You watch as debris, roof tiles and masonry explode into the air, seemingly from just over the river and since hollow. And you watch as the these impossibly large vines, similar to the ones that are currently wrapped around the keep that you can see to your left as well, emerge from the ground. But these, you notice, are different in that they are embedded, encrusted, infected with these large, jagged red crystals, larger than houses. And as these roots roar up into the. Into the night sky, they begin to coalesce towards each other until they form a knot of sorts over bell tower prism like a cage made of crystallized red crystallized vines. And you can see lights from houses flicking on like being lit as people kind of peer out their windows wondering what on earth just happened. And as you look at this, this bizarre sight casting a shadow over some bell tower, we'll call it there. [01:18:48] Speaker D: Is this another one of those clocks, Dan? It's not one of those faction action clocks. [01:18:59] Speaker A: Congratulations, everyone. Completing episode 13 did it. You successfully captured most, though it doesn't. [01:19:15] Speaker D: Feel like the whole mission's done like, we have to decide what we're doing with him. I guess that could be downtime. [01:19:23] Speaker A: We got him. We got him. You got him, did he? [01:19:26] Speaker E: With subtlety and finesse. [01:19:29] Speaker D: Yeah, definitely. [01:19:30] Speaker C: Such grace. [01:19:31] Speaker E: Such grace and poise. [01:19:34] Speaker D: Let's face it, Frieda and Aldouse, we were over the other side of town, saving cavern. [01:19:42] Speaker F: So again, yes, everyone did the spooky. Did spooky man kill somebody as katherine discovered him? [01:19:54] Speaker A: Not in your line of sight. No. [01:19:56] Speaker D: No, not that we know of. [01:19:57] Speaker F: Okay, good, because I know we get. We get heat if anyone dies. So I was like, okay, you'll be fine. [01:20:09] Speaker A: You'll be fine. So, like, everyone knows you'll be fine. So much so that you just want to give them. Give this video a like and comment down below and tell us just how fine everything is. Everything's fine.
