[00:00:00] Speaker A: Hello, Internet, and welcome back to Explorers of Elsewhere live, episode six of the Titan Isles. Hello. Hi, My name is DM Dan. I'm hoping we are broadcasting to the world on this day that is hotter than the face of the sun. We've got our correspondent beaming in from Portugal. Technician extraordinaire. To check our. To check our audio, but. Hello. Hi, My name is Dim Dan. I am joined today by Livy. [00:00:38] Speaker B: Hello. [00:00:39] Speaker A: Bye, Georgia. [00:00:41] Speaker B: Hello. [00:00:43] Speaker A: By Theo. By Tim. [00:00:47] Speaker C: Hello. [00:00:48] Speaker A: And not by night. Not in. Not in body, but maybe in spirit. He has dispersed into a slightly darkened portrait where he would normally be. No one's saying anything about the music or the audio, so I assume we're fine. [00:01:07] Speaker D: Dan, just check. Are we. [00:01:08] Speaker C: Are we. [00:01:09] Speaker D: Are we on. On YouTube? Because I can't see. [00:01:11] Speaker A: We are not on. On YouTube. That's why no one's saying a damn thing. Hi, world. Welcome. [00:01:22] Speaker D: Welcome. [00:01:22] Speaker B: Welcome. [00:01:24] Speaker A: The beauty. The beauty of that happy little accident is that you saw none of that. But welcome. [00:01:31] Speaker C: Really good, though. [00:01:32] Speaker A: It was really good. [00:01:33] Speaker E: It was the best intro we've ever done. [00:01:36] Speaker A: Exactly. So good, in fact, that I'll really quickly do it again. Hi, my name is DM Dan. I'm joined by Livy, Georgia, Theo and Tim. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. [00:01:49] Speaker C: Hello. [00:01:50] Speaker A: And yeah, we are here to play the sixth session of our DAG Heart campaign. A little bit of echo. Okay. Let us know if it keeps coming back. Yoj. Yeah, we're here to play some dagger heart. We left episode five on a bit of a cliffhanger, you could say. [00:02:14] Speaker B: Literally a little bit. [00:02:17] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm sure. I'm sure. I'm sure you'll be fine when we jump straight back into it. Yes. Just before we kick things off, some real quick announcements. The Crit Awards, which are an annual kind of tabletop RPG celebration competition thing. We are finalists in the Best Dagger Heart GM category for Tales from Elsewhere, which is pretty much everyone here that you see on screen was part of that. Yeah, we. Like. I'm blown away that we are finalists, but the voting for that Finish concludes at 5:00pm PST, which is at some point in the near future if you're watching this live. So if you're enjoying this, you can find the link to the Crit Award kind of voting form in the description. You get one vote per category. I believe we're category 20. Something around that. So, yeah, if you're enjoying what we do, then please consider giving us a little vote. [00:03:18] Speaker C: Vote. [00:03:19] Speaker A: And then we'll see what happens. We'll see how many votes we got. Also, hello to Joe over in Twitch and to Hungry dragons over in YouTube. Thank you both of you for joining our Discord. Recently we have a discord where we want to be getting a little bit nerdy with all the stuff elsewhere related. There's. We've already hosted our first kind of members, like behind the scenes where four of us got together and discussed the campaign up until Campaign Episode 5 and gave some thoughts and suspicions and theories and whatnot. And yes, if you. If you want to kind of see stuff like that or more kind of general elsewhere stuff, whether it's art or extra tidbits or anything like that, consider joining Discord. That's also in the description. If you join as a member on YouTube or as a patron on Patreon, then you will also get access to the members only kind of content, including kind of early release and like a private chat room and so on and so forth. Right, I've yabbed. You lot are currently basking in the shadow of some gods who wants to jump back into it. [00:04:38] Speaker C: Sounds lovely. Let's go. Go. [00:04:55] Speaker D: Hello, I'm Nate and I'll be playing Griffin, a Sanguvar bard. [00:05:02] Speaker B: Hi, I'm Livy and I'm playing Abe, the Guardian Keeper. [00:05:08] Speaker D: Hello, my name is Theo and I'll be playing Cooper, Dragon Scent Rogue. [00:05:14] Speaker E: Hi, my name is Georgia and I'll be playing Cassandra, an ace of our sorcerer. [00:05:20] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Tim and I'm playing Gardi, the Johnny Druid. [00:05:26] Speaker A: And my name is DM Dan, the games master. In this adventure, The people of Rice Vilnaar have many stories of the two world spirits, Faiza and Burru Naan. Known to them as the Titans, the world spirits have been honoured and worshipped as guardians of the people of Rice Vilnaar for as long as they can remember. When the War of Dragons caused the cataclysmic eschaton to wreak havoc upon the world, Faizar and Buru Naan emerged to defend the land against the violent arcane energies unleashed by Akhan and his brood. Showing themselves to the keepers who worshiped them for the first time, Faizar and Burunan have now refilled themselves again at the heart of a magical storm that threatens to devastate the Titan Isles. But whereas before they fought alongside one another, now their enmity has turned against one another. The world's spirits once fought and overcame gods. What hope do mortals have in the face of such widespread destruction? And so we find the five of you on the first of three or four large kind of stones. They look like Large stone stalling mites jutting from the ground with flat tops like flat kind of plateau like tops. The one you're currently stood on is the smallest of those in front like arrayed around you in this forested area. You are approximately 15ft above the ground and you can. You are next to a wooden bridge that leads up to the next standing stone that rises approximately 30ft up. So it's a relatively steep angled bridge around you. So. Well, just behind you is the scorch marks lining the floor of a wall of flame courtesy of Griffin that has just been put out. The tree to your left has been sundered in two from the concussive. From the force of a wheeled walker blown away by Cassandra in a desperate bids to try and save Griffin who had been captured by it. And there are kind of bits of plant life that were once living triffids scattered around you. To the. To your what over the canopy off to your. Off to the far left, sort of like the north eastern, sorry, northwestern corner from you, you can see these two behemoth sized creatures. One a large burning bird like creature engaged in a devastating duel with this kind of ice crystal made mantis like draconic type creature. And as the two creatures screech at each other as they brawl, the ground underfoot shakes with the thunderous impact of Pfizer's footsteps as she. As she fights with Burunan. G. Just to give you a reminder, the reason that you've been sent here or the the reason that you've all decided to come here is that at the top of the standing stones is a shrine with a. An artifact that will allow you to commune with the world spirits, the two Titans. And it would seem that time is very much of the essence as these two juke it out. [00:10:08] Speaker B: I don't know, they seem pretty busy. [00:10:11] Speaker C: I feel like I'd be interrupting. [00:10:13] Speaker B: Yeah, get on a conference call. [00:10:19] Speaker A: So with that all in mind, I'm going to return the five of you into a combat ready state. [00:10:29] Speaker B: Just combat ready. [00:10:30] Speaker C: What? I don't need that for phone call. [00:10:32] Speaker B: Dan. [00:10:33] Speaker E: What are we for? [00:10:33] Speaker B: Waiting. [00:10:35] Speaker A: As you know that you need to carry on, fight on. Carry on on your journey up to the top of the standing stones. [00:10:44] Speaker E: Going to fight those stones. [00:10:46] Speaker A: Who's leading the way? [00:10:51] Speaker B: Abe's happy too. He's happy to get. How rickety is this bridge? It. [00:11:01] Speaker A: Well it was built by the residents of Riceville Nar. [00:11:05] Speaker B: So it's hoping to take a keeper. [00:11:07] Speaker A: Sturdy enough to hold a keeper, that is for sure. [00:11:11] Speaker C: There's one Thing we know about bridges is that daddy go can get across them first. [00:11:15] Speaker A: Exactly. Yes, exactly. So if Abe's leading, leaving the charge, who's. Who's going in seconds, and then we'll. [00:11:28] Speaker E: Be hot at his heels, I think. [00:11:30] Speaker A: Okay, so Cass, you move in behind. And then, yeah, Guardian, Cooper, and then Griffin all hung hunker down in the back. Hey, as you make your way across the bridge, please make me a reaction instinct roll, please. [00:11:53] Speaker B: Reaction instinct. [00:11:56] Speaker A: Yeah. And also while Abe's doing that, remember if to recharge any once per session abilities. So unleash chaos for Cass. Griffin shouts words of affirmation to the four of you. And everyone's gonna have a new rally dice to use. Over the space of this evening. You've rolled a 14. Okay, so Abe, as you lead the charge across this wooden bridge, you see the bushes either side of the standing stone. As you, as you climb up like another 15ft, the bushes rattle and from the foliage spring another seven triffids. [00:12:48] Speaker C: Oh, that's loads. [00:12:51] Speaker A: You also with a 14. 14 with fear. No, it doesn't matter. So you also see following behind the triffids from another one of the bushes, another creature kind of lopes out. And that looks something like these. So a, A relatively, a smallish, like slightly smaller than a standard larovar or ace of R in size, but a very kind of thin, gangly gate with this kind of. With a face almost, um, a face that looks like it belongs to an old woman with sort of like mossy, viney like hair coming, you know, streaming over her shoulders. But what you notice is that in lieu of hands, she appears to have these long kind of whip like tentacle like arms like plant tentacles. And as she peers at you with these kind of bright orange eyes, she lets out a chittering noise to the trivets. Abe, you are in front. So we'll give you the spotlight. Bear in mind, like for everyone else, bear in mind if you want to say, if you want to take your turn, make sure to hit the macro. And then we'll. We'll just kind of loop you in for that. So what's Abe doing. [00:14:24] Speaker B: Of in. And he's going to thwack the closest trifid to him. I mean, let's be honest, he's going to slice through this guy here. [00:14:36] Speaker A: Okie doy. [00:14:39] Speaker B: So let me roll my doy do. Oh, sorry, that was a damage roll. I don't know why. [00:14:47] Speaker A: That's fine, that's fine. No, 24. That's a 24 to hit. [00:14:51] Speaker B: Oh, is It. [00:14:52] Speaker A: Yes. Oh, yes. Suffice to say a 24 does hit while you roll the damage. I'll give you a hope. So you're now 6. 15 damage. [00:15:08] Speaker B: A 15 damage plus my horns. 2. [00:15:15] Speaker A: Okay, so read the docks. Hope off you back down to 5. So 17 damage. Describe to me how your axe scythes through two of these triffids. [00:15:29] Speaker B: So he's going for sort of a. Just a low, you know, he's. He's. He's. He's done weeding. He's an old man. He knows how to weed a garden. So he's gonna sigh through bottom of their like so like a straight through. Gonna scythe all the bottom out and then headbutt them. Like a headbutt. And then. Yeah, yeah. As one sort of flies up for the impact. He just nuts it on the top of the. On its flowery little trifid head. [00:16:05] Speaker A: Amazing. Okay, so you. You donk that triffid as you scythe through the. The second you've spent, I hope. Very good. We'll chuck the spotlight over to Gardi. [00:16:19] Speaker C: I'll just. I'll. As Cass starts to stride forward, I'll just put my hand on her shoulder and like. Careful out there. You've got this. And I'll give you. I'll press into your hand a carved piece of something that looks like it could be bone, it could be shell that's in the shape of like what looks like maybe a stylized llama's head. And I will use. [00:16:56] Speaker B: My God. [00:16:56] Speaker A: Where are you? [00:16:57] Speaker C: There we are. Runeward. You're rune warded. The holder can spend a hope to reduce incoming damage by 1d8. If it's an 8, then the effect ends. So try to roll sevens. I recommend. [00:17:16] Speaker B: Thank you. [00:17:17] Speaker E: So he says. [00:17:18] Speaker B: He puts it in your hand. Try to roll seven. [00:17:23] Speaker A: Okay, so who's warded? Sorry, Is it. Okay, so we'll put a little. We'll put a little shield icon on you to remind us that we've got. Amazing. [00:17:38] Speaker C: How far down is this? [00:17:41] Speaker A: So Abe, that. That there is probably about 15ft. So currently just slightly below you because you're already on the upward incline towards the next standing stone. [00:17:54] Speaker C: So I might. I'm gonna try and make a jump to it, I think. [00:17:58] Speaker A: Okay. I would add that that is then a 15 foot climb up to the. From here to here is a 15 foot climb. [00:18:09] Speaker C: That does seem more difficult to be fair. [00:18:11] Speaker A: Yes. Yeah. Abe is currently a problematic 30 fit. 30ft in the above ground. [00:18:18] Speaker C: All right, that's fine. I'll just. I'll just hang out where I am. [00:18:23] Speaker A: I'll just walk. [00:18:24] Speaker C: To be honest. I'll just stay here and hope for the best. [00:18:28] Speaker A: Okay. Who wants to go next? [00:18:33] Speaker E: I'll. [00:18:34] Speaker B: I'll. [00:18:34] Speaker E: I'll take a shot. [00:18:35] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay. Go. Guess. Go. [00:18:38] Speaker E: I feel like this thing that G's pressed into my hand is probably the nicest thing anyone's given Cass in quite a long time. She's probably a bit slightly. Can't remember what the word is. Just a little bit shocked by it. Very briefly before she turns her attention back to these trifids and she draws her pistol and she's going to take aim at this Is it Gilly? Who Gilly do. [00:19:08] Speaker A: So you volmier. Roll me a reaction. Knowledge check. [00:19:14] Speaker C: Knowledge. [00:19:15] Speaker E: Where's my knowledge? There it is. That is an 11 with fear. [00:19:22] Speaker A: Okay. So we won't need to worry about the fear. But an 11, you aren't entirely sure what it is off the back of an 11. It's clear that it is some sort of. Sort of like primal slash nature aligned elemental like creature. [00:19:42] Speaker E: I mean on a track record. Most of nature has attacked us since we've gotten this island. Sarah. [00:19:47] Speaker A: This is true. Yeah. You can certainly make some assumptions. Yeah. You're not like off the back of 11. You're not 100 sure what this creature is capable of. She just sort of like lopes out and starts chittering to the triffids. [00:20:01] Speaker E: Cass has been at aim. Aim alimony at her. [00:20:05] Speaker A: Yes. Okay. [00:20:08] Speaker E: So is it just. [00:20:12] Speaker B: Crit? [00:20:12] Speaker E: Oh that's a damage roll rather than a. [00:20:14] Speaker A: No, no that's fine. That's fine. [00:20:15] Speaker B: Oh that's fine. [00:20:16] Speaker E: Okay, cool. [00:20:17] Speaker A: You have crit. So if you. I'll add your hope if you want to roll the damage. [00:20:26] Speaker E: Oh. [00:20:30] Speaker A: So with the extra damage that is 26 in total. Cass, describe to me what this looks like real quick. [00:20:41] Speaker E: It's just a clear headshot. The sort of. The light in the gun blazes blue briefly. There's like a crackle of lightning I imagine lost in the storm that's currently surrounding us. And Cass just kind of pops out behind Abe and takes the shot. [00:20:59] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:20:59] Speaker E: Well my friendship. [00:21:03] Speaker A: So as you as Abe kind of steps out the way and this bolt of electric kind of lightning charge mana blasts through the air. It strikes the. The ghillie doo between the eyes for severe damage. And one tapped her nose and then there's just a like a U shaped hole in the center of her head. Like she. It's like she's a tree that has been struck by a bolt of lightning. Wild for a little bit of the. [00:21:47] Speaker E: Nothing is stopping Cass from getting daddy up this hill. [00:21:52] Speaker B: She wants to talk to her God. [00:21:54] Speaker A: Absolutely collapses. Right. The Ghillie Durr is no longer in the Initiative. Very good. Would you like to move, Cass? [00:22:03] Speaker E: Yeah, Cass. She would have moved forward to take the shot, so she's just behind. [00:22:10] Speaker A: Okay. Is anyone else. Right. Ready to take a turn? Olivia is ready. [00:22:18] Speaker B: Go. Theo. Theo, if you want to go, go. Theo. [00:22:20] Speaker D: No, I was going to say it's more of a reaction to the shot, really. Is G still stood near us or have you moved on G? Either way, this shot happens. [00:22:32] Speaker A: You. [00:22:33] Speaker C: You. [00:22:33] Speaker D: I'm imagining Gy and Griffin are still by. By Cooper, and Cooper kind of like picks up his jaw from the floor. It's just like I taught her everything she knows, everything. I know. And then I think he's going to try and do a crossbow bolt at the triffid in front of Abe. [00:22:58] Speaker A: Okay. [00:22:59] Speaker C: Oh, that'll be really embarrassing if you missed this. [00:23:01] Speaker D: I know. I'm hoping he does drop. [00:23:06] Speaker A: So. [00:23:06] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:23:14] Speaker D: Well, 14 with hope. [00:23:16] Speaker A: 14 with hope is a hit. So if you roll the damage, I'll add your hope. So you're up to 4, 10. And you get sneak attack because you're. Someone's in melee. [00:23:31] Speaker D: Yes, I do. Oh, lovely. I'll do sneak attack as well. So that's 14. [00:23:36] Speaker C: 14. [00:23:38] Speaker A: Okay. You. Okay? You're like. As Abe is kind of brawling with two of these triffids. Your bolt fires through skewers one and skewers a second as Abe is swarmed by these creatures. Very good. Are you looking to move? [00:24:06] Speaker D: Yeah, I'll move a little bit. I'll get just. Just behind Cass, following her like, he's just like. Don't want to like, jump. Scare her. And then she shoots me by mistake. [00:24:16] Speaker B: So, yeah, Abe's little line of ducklings behind him. Yes. Mummy goose. Ave the. [00:24:25] Speaker A: Okay. In which case I will spend a fear cuz you guys keep on rolling with hope. The so a. As you're fending off these triffids, like two of them. Like one's. Well, the. The. The tree lady looking thing has just been blasted apart by Cass. You've seen a crossbow bolt skewer two of these plant creatures like a shish kebab. But the three that are remaining, they will. So they decide to surge you with a group attack. I throwed a crit. [00:25:08] Speaker B: That's the crit. [00:25:10] Speaker A: That's a crit. That's a crit. So as three of them. As the three of them pile onto you like onto your back. They will do. So I'm well actually. Oh, you've locked out. Because crits only give me maximum dice rolls and I don't actually roll dice, but these three kind of scratch and bite and claw into you for a combined total of 15 damage. [00:25:41] Speaker B: 15? [00:25:42] Speaker A: Yep. [00:25:44] Speaker B: Wow. I'm gonna have to take one hit point. [00:25:47] Speaker C: Oh God, my devastating. [00:25:51] Speaker A: Absolutely devastating. [00:25:53] Speaker B: Okay, so it's one armor slot. [00:25:57] Speaker A: Okay. [00:25:58] Speaker B: Who. [00:25:59] Speaker A: So, Libby, you have a ready status. So what do you want to do in response? [00:26:04] Speaker B: I'm gonna weed these planties. I was gonna say something else, but I won't swear it's not nine. I'm gonna weed these little planties here. Okie dokie us rod for damage. Oh, that was nearly a crit. [00:26:27] Speaker A: 27 with hope. That is a hit. I'll add your hope for you. [00:26:32] Speaker B: Thank you very much. Let's do a damage roll and I'll use that hopeful horns. [00:26:40] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. So you managed to catch two of the triffids in your mad kind of flurry. [00:26:54] Speaker B: Yeah. Imagine they're all just climbing up and he's just. [00:26:59] Speaker A: Just ax grab one. Stick it on your horn. Okay. So with all that, there appears to be one last triffid like clung to to Abe's back. Who's ready to take turn. [00:27:13] Speaker B: He's so big he can't get it ready. I'll get this behind him. [00:27:17] Speaker C: Give a little shot. Yeah. Just gonna wander up and like just try and sort of gently blast it. [00:27:27] Speaker B: But not me. Not me. No firewall. I don't want no firewall. Oh, you privately died. [00:27:41] Speaker C: The right thing to roll. Let me roll. [00:27:43] Speaker A: No, that one. That looks. That look. [00:27:45] Speaker C: Right, I just need to get a damage roll out. [00:27:49] Speaker B: Are they coming up privately? [00:27:51] Speaker D: Are they coming up privately for us? So that looks. [00:27:53] Speaker B: I want to know what Tim's rolling. [00:27:58] Speaker A: I think. [00:27:59] Speaker C: Hang on, hang on, hang on. [00:28:00] Speaker B: Is he rolling for kiss? [00:28:01] Speaker C: Hang on. [00:28:02] Speaker A: Oh, hang on. There we go now. There we go. [00:28:08] Speaker D: Right, brilliant. [00:28:10] Speaker A: So we'll take that one because it is public. A19 with hope. [00:28:13] Speaker C: Very kind. [00:28:14] Speaker A: Okay, I will add your hope on for you. [00:28:18] Speaker C: Don't worry, I've got an ad hype button. [00:28:21] Speaker A: I've ticked you up to 1:15 dimage. Okay. You absolutely. What does this, what does your range attack with your short staff look like? [00:28:34] Speaker C: It's just a good old fashioned crackling beam of green energy, I think. [00:28:39] Speaker A: Okay. In which case, Abe. Yeah. You manage to duck out the way. Well, you don't have to duck out the way much as Guardi's aim is pretty true and it strikes the triffid off your back, leaving you all kind of free. On this plateau, on the second standing stone, as you gather yourselves, you can see that up ahead there is a small staircase. There appears to be like a small staircase down slightly before it hits another bridge that carries you up to the next. The next standing stone. So who's leading the way? By the time you get to the stone steps leading down. [00:29:29] Speaker D: I mean, don't fix what's not broken. Man 8 Going ahead. Makes sense. [00:29:35] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:29:37] Speaker B: Strategy wise. Put the tank in the front. I see. [00:29:41] Speaker A: What. [00:29:41] Speaker B: What's going on? [00:29:42] Speaker D: We love you, Abe. [00:29:44] Speaker E: We love you, Abe. We're gonna be here. [00:29:46] Speaker A: Which case I'm going to. So, Abe, as you start moving forward and you get to those stone steps, I'm going to spend a fear. And. So I'm gonna spend the fear to take the spotlight onto myself. I will then spend another fear, dropping me down to three to then activate the monster that needs an additional fear. And Abe, Does a nine hit you? [00:30:30] Speaker B: Beats it. Beats it. [00:30:33] Speaker A: Meets it. Beats it. Yeah. [00:30:34] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:30:35] Speaker A: Okay. Oh, you're. Is your difficult. Is your arm a 9 or 10? [00:30:41] Speaker B: My evasion is your evasion. Sorry. [00:30:43] Speaker A: Okay. In which case, it might be on my character. [00:30:47] Speaker B: I might be looking at the wrong. [00:30:48] Speaker A: Sheet, but yeah, Griffin's gonna run up with you. So you. As you're sort of like about to descend down the steps, the other four of you that are sort of like, try doing your best to keep up with Abe, who's kind of galloping on ahead. You watch as this dark shadow emerges from the top of the. The next standing stone. And with like, accidental accuracy, this large boulder collides into wave as he's going down the steps. So. So I'll mark a stress in a moment. [00:31:35] Speaker B: Actually. [00:31:36] Speaker A: Yeah, it would just be Abe. So, Abe, you take. [00:31:43] Speaker C: Oh, boy. [00:31:45] Speaker A: 14 damage. However, the tax are direct damage. So that is an unmitigatable 14 damage. [00:31:59] Speaker B: That's the whole point of ABE. All damage is money is mitigated. [00:32:04] Speaker C: Mitigate it with your abs. [00:32:08] Speaker D: Abe's abs. [00:32:09] Speaker A: And I will add that combatant to the. To the fight. An Abe. Like, as you are rocked by this whole boulder, as you look up, you can see that coming across the bridge in front of you is another five triffids. You can't quite see whatever it is that's throwing the boulders from the next step. You're not high enough. But you know that by the time you get to sort of like where the triffids are pretty much, you will have enough height that you will Be able to see your assailant. But, yeah, it seems that whatever is up there is currently yeeting boulders at you at range. [00:32:51] Speaker B: Yes. Yes. [00:32:55] Speaker A: Okay, so who's ready? [00:32:58] Speaker B: I mean, I'm more than happy to fling myself into these trifids. Abe will charge the triffids, and as he goes, I think he'll turn to everyone and go, someone's throwing rocks. [00:33:14] Speaker A: You say to the four people that just watch you get targeted by a rock. [00:33:19] Speaker B: Some sks and throwing rocks off the bridge. This neighborhood's gone to. Oh, I can't. I can't. I'm. [00:33:31] Speaker A: I'm locked. [00:33:32] Speaker B: Why am I locked? [00:33:34] Speaker A: I'm locked. I will say you might be blocked. [00:33:38] Speaker C: By the tiny bit of stairs. [00:33:41] Speaker A: So you are currently there. Abe, if you move too close, I am going to need an agility check for you to get to the triffids quick enough. Under the barrage of, like, hull boulders, the storms shaking you about. Yeah, just a quick agility check. [00:33:57] Speaker B: That's all right. I have a. I'm ridgeborn, so can I have advantage on traversing dangerous cliffs, ledges, and harsh environments? [00:34:08] Speaker A: I think this absolutely applies in this. In this instance. [00:34:14] Speaker B: So we carry agility with advantage. 13. [00:34:23] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah, that is fine. You will give you the hope, and then that will give you enough to get into melee range. [00:34:32] Speaker B: Fabulous. That is a great. [00:34:41] Speaker A: Okay, if you roll for your damage. [00:34:45] Speaker B: And my damage. [00:34:50] Speaker A: 28. Okay. So hang on. Cool. Abe. Yeah. Describe to me how you bowl over all five of these triffids. [00:35:07] Speaker B: Okay, so he comes, he's running, and he just. He's like a bull running. And he just runs into them. Two of them just fling themselves off the bridge as they just. He just collides in. And then one large sweep across all of the legs, legs, roots of the rest of them. And yeah, one of them, he just slices in half, catches it, throws it off the cliff. The rest of it, he goes. Oh, throwing rocks. [00:35:42] Speaker A: From where you are. Can you see what is throwing? [00:35:46] Speaker B: I can't see who's throwing rocks. [00:35:47] Speaker A: Can't see throwing rocks. [00:35:48] Speaker B: You. [00:35:49] Speaker A: Interesting. Okay, I'll figure that out in a sec. Okay, so. [00:35:54] Speaker B: Yeah, but it's hoodies. [00:35:56] Speaker A: Yes, hoodlums. You rolled with. You rolled a crit. So if you've got stress, you can reduce that. We'll pass the spotlight over to Theo, who is ready. Go for your guys. [00:36:10] Speaker D: I mean, I was gonna help with the triffits, but instead Cooper's watched Abe decimate them. And like, note to Seth. Do not piss off Abe. And then follow like this, runs to like join him. [00:36:26] Speaker A: Okay. [00:36:26] Speaker D: Basically so that he can be behind him. [00:36:29] Speaker B: Could. If they were throwing rocks, could ab know where the rocks are? Can he see where the it's coming from? So Cooper runs up. I can give him general directions. [00:36:40] Speaker A: So hang on, let me. I think the walls have gone a bit squiffy. [00:36:46] Speaker C: Hold. Hold. [00:36:49] Speaker A: Just gonna make these. Site restriction none. Okay. So don't see it now. You can see it now. So Theo, real quick if you want to kind of sprint off to catch up with Abe under the artist artillery barrage of of kind of boulders and the storm and the slippiness. I will also need an agility check. Otherwise we'll cap you at short distance. [00:37:18] Speaker D: Okay. I'm just double checking I haven't got you of that. [00:37:26] Speaker A: While checking that as you kind of clear the bridge of the triffids, you look up and there's. There's like a large. On the standing stone up ahead. You can see like another kind of jutting rock that emerges from it. So. So approximately kind of 50ft up. And there's a moment where you're wondering if you're. If there's like the lighting like the purple lightning overhead and like the flashes of light from Burunan and fires are fighting in the background. If that's kind of confusing. Confusing your eyesight slightly. But it almost looks like the rock itself is moving. And that's when you notice like it leaned back and a hulking great 12 foot tall earth elemental rears up as it's. As it pulls a chunk of the ground out of the standard standing stone in preparation to throw it. Throw another one. [00:38:28] Speaker B: He's snatched. Tiny waist, big thighs. Look at that guy. [00:38:31] Speaker A: Oh yes. Sorry. Go for you. Go. [00:38:36] Speaker D: Yeah. So my agility check. There's something that affect. That affects that. However can I please activate my rogue hope please. Which is spend free Hope to gain two plus bonus to my evasion. Until the next time attack seems to hit me. [00:38:53] Speaker A: You can indeed. [00:38:57] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:38:57] Speaker D: So my evasion goes up to 19. So hopefully that helps for a bit. But yeah, other than that just a normal roll for me to get up. [00:39:07] Speaker A: Spend your hope for you. That drops you down to one. [00:39:12] Speaker D: Why have I got a critical set? Why have I got critical success to run after a. [00:39:19] Speaker A: Well I mean good news. [00:39:21] Speaker D: I'm not going to get hit. [00:39:22] Speaker B: So Tom Cruise run up there. [00:39:27] Speaker A: You're. You're. You're. You're sprinting so well you reduce your stress. [00:39:32] Speaker D: Except parkour. [00:39:34] Speaker A: I think it probably has to. [00:39:35] Speaker D: It is a bit parkour. Yeah. [00:39:38] Speaker B: Unnecessary parkour. Just doing a Bar row doing a flip. [00:39:42] Speaker D: I mean, if there are potential boulders and storm and stuff, then it does feel like people watching. Yeah, people are watching. [00:39:49] Speaker B: People watching. [00:39:52] Speaker A: Okay, so who Tim is already. What's. What's Guardi doing? [00:40:00] Speaker C: I'm just going to move forward. [00:40:03] Speaker A: So you can move to close normally. Agility roll if you want to go further. [00:40:10] Speaker C: Okay. I'll close an eye to this fellow. [00:40:13] Speaker B: Far. [00:40:14] Speaker C: Can I see it as well, or do I need to get forward for that? [00:40:17] Speaker A: I think you probably can now. Yeah, it's. It's looming and it's holding a large boulder over its head. [00:40:23] Speaker C: Lovely. All right, I'm gonna try and take control of the vines in its body and lash them together so that it cannot move using this is entangled. This use entangle. [00:40:42] Speaker B: Nice. [00:40:43] Speaker A: 19Th 19 with Hope. Yeah, that hits. If you want to pop your hope up. And what's the eight? What's the demand? [00:40:55] Speaker C: Plus one. And then it's temporary. Temporarily restrained. [00:40:59] Speaker A: Okay. So it is restrained. [00:41:04] Speaker C: 6. Incredible damage. [00:41:09] Speaker A: Okay, that is suffice to say mine up. But that is still damage. It takes one hit point. As you like. As the vines that are comprising its mass start. Sort of like being pulled by your energies by your magics. Yeah, they. What are there sort of like other vines springing up from the ground just kind of leash into the vines that are making up? Or are you pulling? [00:41:38] Speaker C: I think. I think they're leashing down into down. [00:41:41] Speaker A: Okay. Very, very good. Okay, in which. [00:41:44] Speaker C: Easy there, Big fell. [00:41:46] Speaker A: In which case it. Yeah, it's stuck. And as it looks around in this dopish, oafish kind of way, as. As its vines start impacting into the ground like tent. Tent lines. Amazing. Anything. Who. Let's. Is Cass ready, Cash ready for a go? [00:42:09] Speaker E: Yeah, I think so. Cass will sort of seeing this lull slightly in the fighting and again, probably feeling a bit spurred on by what Gaddy did. [00:42:23] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:42:24] Speaker E: She will run to where Abe is. [00:42:30] Speaker A: Okay, so that'll be an agility to get agility check to get that far because. Yeah, that'll be far. But yeah, you can catch up with Ayban Cooper. Agility check. [00:42:44] Speaker E: That's a 17 with hope. [00:42:46] Speaker A: That is absolutely fine. [00:42:50] Speaker E: And yeah, just as these vines kind of impact into the earth, she will press. She will take from around her neck this sort of. This necklace comprises of sort of a single sapphire like jewel. And she will probably press it into Abe's hand and she will also cast Rune Ward. So Abe now has another rune ward. [00:43:22] Speaker A: Now has rune Ward friends. [00:43:25] Speaker B: Yeah, they were giving gifts. [00:43:30] Speaker A: Okay, so the two of you are now both rune warded. Very, very good. [00:43:42] Speaker B: What is. I don't think that's gonna fit. [00:43:51] Speaker A: So who's. Who's going next? The. The. The Earth Elemental is currently leashed to its spot so it can't move. But it is still holding this large boulder over its head in a somewhat intimidating manner. [00:44:06] Speaker B: Come Theo. [00:44:07] Speaker A: Okay. [00:44:08] Speaker D: I. I'll. I'll fire at it with my cross. [00:44:11] Speaker B: So you've got range attacks. [00:44:12] Speaker D: Yeah. I don't think I can count as hidden if it can see me on the bridge. Right. And we're not in relay with it. [00:44:19] Speaker A: Just to check. [00:44:20] Speaker D: So it'll just be a normal attack though. [00:44:22] Speaker B: Because you're behind me. [00:44:25] Speaker D: We did that. That's fair. I am behind Abe. Abe is much taller than me. That would count as hidden. [00:44:32] Speaker B: Basically a tree. A walking tree. [00:44:38] Speaker C: You'll have to do this every combat forever. [00:44:40] Speaker D: I mean, I think it says in the rules anyway about hiding. [00:44:43] Speaker B: It's in the rules. If you're behind Abe, you get. [00:44:47] Speaker A: Go on then. Go on then. [00:44:50] Speaker D: We'll see if we hit first before I get too excited about sneak attack. [00:44:53] Speaker B: So that's. [00:44:55] Speaker D: That's a 15 to hit with Hope. [00:44:57] Speaker A: 15 to hit with hope is a hit. Wow. Fantastic. The crossbow strikes its rocky hide. Remember to hit the ready macro if you're ready to take your turn next. [00:45:10] Speaker D: So that's 13. And then the sneak attack damage is 9. Yeah. So that's a good. Good 22. [00:45:17] Speaker B: 20. [00:45:18] Speaker A: 22. Correct. Okay. That is. So where. Where do you imagine that this crossbow bolt strikes it? On its. On it to do major damage. [00:45:31] Speaker D: Having a look as well. Maybe like towards like. Do they look like it. Does it look like it has visibly has eyes? [00:45:38] Speaker A: It doesn't. That's the. That's the worrying thing about it. It like this large rock. If you've played Tears of a Kingdom, I'm picturing this almost as a Talos. [00:45:49] Speaker D: So I'm getting the. The Rock God in a Galaxy Quest but with fines. If anyone's seen that film. [00:45:56] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. [00:45:57] Speaker D: In that case, like, if you. Is he like still trying to hold a boulder up? [00:46:04] Speaker A: He's still currently holding a boulder over his head. [00:46:06] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:46:07] Speaker D: Can I. Can I have it? So like he shoots at his hands so he drops the boulder on himself. [00:46:14] Speaker A: Sure. [00:46:14] Speaker D: Or something like that. [00:46:16] Speaker A: Yeah. In which case you break away like two of his quote unquote fingers and like you watch as it sort of like the. The piece of standing stone that's ripped out the ground kind of falls and collides into its form. And it rocks under the weight of the. Of the boulder. It's just dropped on itself. [00:46:38] Speaker C: But. [00:46:39] Speaker A: And do you want to move real quick? [00:46:42] Speaker D: I'm trying to decide if it's safer for me to continue to stand behind Abe or if I should move closer because I'm. [00:46:50] Speaker A: I'm. [00:46:50] Speaker D: I'm range anyway. So I might not be. [00:46:53] Speaker B: Abe is not. So Abe will not be staying where he is. [00:46:56] Speaker D: That's cool. [00:46:57] Speaker A: In that case, also over like a 40 foot press of. [00:47:01] Speaker B: Yeah, I want to get off the bridge. [00:47:03] Speaker A: I'm. [00:47:03] Speaker D: I'm going to move to. To the. This part of the bridge. Okay, off the bridge now. [00:47:09] Speaker A: Cooper, as you fire this crossbow and then kind of bolt to get off the bridge to like safe, like a safer ground, like more solid ground. The. The Earth elemental lets out this rumbling roar. And it seems like it's trying to like. As the rock kind of bounces off its like main torso, bulk almost like shakes itself and then lets out this. This gravelly growl and then seemingly tries to surge towards you. But then gy. You have to like concentrate a bit more. And the vines that you've kind of pegged it into the ground with, they pull tight and it holds this creature. But you can feel this incredible unnatural strength as it tries to go on a bit of a rampage towards. Towards Cooper. But yeah, it's held in place. And Cooper, you are acutely aware that this thing has a rampaging fury. Sure. Next up is Livy. Go Libby, go. [00:48:30] Speaker B: Can Abe get within. It's far range? Can I get there? [00:48:40] Speaker A: You. It will be an agility check to get there. [00:48:43] Speaker B: That's fine. I mean it's what. What I need to do. Once again, I have advantage in hazardous terrains. Agility advantage. So 23. [00:49:02] Speaker A: The 23 will get you there. [00:49:05] Speaker B: Fabulous. [00:49:06] Speaker A: So you're able to get right up in his grill. Move it back. So yeah, you're able to get up into melee with it. You can scale up that bit of rock onto the small kind of ledge that it is stood on. I will just real quick take my fear. But what would you like to do now you are here. [00:49:29] Speaker B: Take a fear. I would like to hit him, please. I would like to hit for 16. Hit 16. [00:49:40] Speaker A: 16 is a hit. [00:49:43] Speaker B: Fabulous. I would like to use. I don't know how this would happen. So I have versatile fighter ability, which means I can mark a stress to use maximum of one of my dices. [00:50:02] Speaker A: Okay. [00:50:03] Speaker B: So one will be. [00:50:05] Speaker A: So if you do the dice roll and then I'll just count the first roll as instead of whatever it should be. So instead of 2, it's us. So it's 14 plus 3. 17. [00:50:21] Speaker B: 17. And I would like to hit him with. With my face. [00:50:32] Speaker A: So 17. 22 damage. [00:50:36] Speaker B: 22 damage. [00:50:37] Speaker A: 22 damage is major damage. It takes another two hit points. [00:50:42] Speaker B: How tall is he? Is he headbuttable in the head? [00:50:47] Speaker A: I mean the thing is he doesn't really have a head. Now that you're up close, now that you've your token physically is up close, you can see what you're looking at and it's really just an amalgam of rocks and vines and I just ted. [00:51:02] Speaker B: But the nearest thing to ahead. [00:51:04] Speaker A: Yeah. Where its head should be. [00:51:06] Speaker B: Yeah, just the top. Just the top of. [00:51:10] Speaker A: Okay, so you, you headbutt it and you like Cooper, how do you feel watching this keeper head but an Earth Elemental with such ferocity that the stonework cracks. [00:51:25] Speaker D: I mean again, we're not cross ape ever. Don't care across him, you know, not crossing him at all. Yeah, A bit like Jesus. [00:51:42] Speaker A: I will. So Abe, as you. As you nut this Earth Elemental square in the torso, you are able to like as you kind of step back and shake your head because there's suddenly like this pounding sensation on the. On your forehead. You notice like the Earth Elemental rocks back and then lets out this roar and you see like bits of fragmented stone fall off its bodywork as it reverberates. And like if it. If it could display the emotion of outright rage, that's what it would be displaying as it attempts to rampage against you. But G, you once again manage to hold it tight. And as it tries to effectively bulldoze through you, Abe, it's held back. What it does do, however, as it switches over to me, I'm now going to spend a fear to be able to activate it and it's going to take a swipe at. [00:53:00] Speaker C: At. [00:53:02] Speaker A: Oh you lucky devil, cooper. [00:53:08] Speaker C: Oh. [00:53:13] Speaker A: It like Abe, as you step back and it like it rages against these vines are holding it back. It leans back, lets out this effectively like war cry, lifts its two hands up and Cooper, you watch as Abe disappears under these two boulder like fists that come crashing down. Abe, you take. You take 1224 unmitigatable damage. [00:53:54] Speaker B: I don't. Because once per short rest, I can scramble out of melee range. Thank you very much, sir. [00:54:06] Speaker A: It's a reaction. [00:54:08] Speaker B: Yeah. Scramble once per arrest. A creature within melee range would deal damage to you. You can avoid the attack and safely move out of melee range. [00:54:16] Speaker C: Oh, that's a good. [00:54:17] Speaker A: That's good scrambling in which case I'm. [00:54:20] Speaker B: A little goat boy. [00:54:23] Speaker A: You watch these as you watch a just disappear under these two fists like rock. Rock fists that visibly crack like sunder the plateau that it stood on. I can only realistically. The only place you can go is through its legs like little stop dropping. Roll through its legs. And like as it lifts its hands up. Cooper. Abe is gone. He's been reduced to paste. Like he is no more Abe. [00:54:56] Speaker D: Like genuine reaction of like holy. [00:54:59] Speaker B: Just the D to the hit the sound of a. He just like goes around the side of him. [00:55:09] Speaker D: Give me a heart attack, man. [00:55:14] Speaker A: Amazing. Amazing. Okay, so as the Earth Elemental attempts to swing at Abe, we will. So that was the. The elemental. We now switch over to Guardi. What's Guardi up to? [00:55:28] Speaker C: I'm just gonna. I'm gonna jog along the bridge shooting him with my lasers. [00:55:35] Speaker A: So I will add the Earth Elemental was temporarily restrained. So it's now ripped effectively. It's ripped free of the vines that you were using as tempeg. So it is now free. [00:55:50] Speaker C: Ah, I wasn't sure if that was how it worked. Sick. All right. Nonetheless, I'm gonna shoot you with lasers. [00:55:56] Speaker A: Yes. [00:56:00] Speaker C: Team with fear. But I would like to under these difficult circumstances. I will take breath, still my mind with my fearless trait and spend these rest to turn it into a hope. [00:56:13] Speaker A: Okay, so you are using fearless mark two stress and then you roll with hope. Okay, 17 with hope. Yeah. If you roll the damage, I'll pop your hope on for you. [00:56:24] Speaker C: Stressing myself out. There we go. [00:56:26] Speaker A: So you're now up to 3 hope. [00:56:31] Speaker C: A mediocre 10 damage. [00:56:34] Speaker A: That is minor damage, but it's an. It rocks the the Earth Elemental as you spear it with this primal magic from your short staff. Anything else, Guardi? [00:56:47] Speaker C: That's it. Cheers. [00:56:48] Speaker A: Okay, who's ready to take the to go next? Griffin drugs up behind you, Guardi. Who's. Who's ready now? [00:57:05] Speaker B: I'm good. [00:57:06] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay. Go Cass, go. [00:57:08] Speaker E: Cass is gonna aim with alimony. [00:57:13] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. It's currently rocks and you're within range. [00:57:18] Speaker B: Cool. Shoot that rock. Yeah. [00:57:24] Speaker A: Your role, your collective roles have been on fire. This absolutely on fire. [00:57:30] Speaker C: We've had like two fears or something. Like out of every role we've had two fears. [00:57:34] Speaker E: This is where it just progressively starts to go downhill. [00:57:37] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:57:39] Speaker A: Okay, so Cass, you have hit with hope. So if you want to do the damage, I'll pop your hope on. [00:57:45] Speaker E: Nice. [00:57:47] Speaker A: Thirteen. Thirteen. That is exactly major damage. Describe to me how this happens. [00:58:03] Speaker B: Nice. [00:58:05] Speaker E: That's just another vaguely head shaped shot. [00:58:14] Speaker B: If Cass can imagine it has a head, it's getting shot. [00:58:19] Speaker E: She is a woman of means and obviously a lot of withheld rage. [00:58:25] Speaker C: Don't break. [00:58:25] Speaker A: Don't fix it. [00:58:27] Speaker C: Shoot him in the face. [00:58:29] Speaker A: Okay. I mean, I can imagine as this bolt of this bolt fires out the end of the pistol, it strikes the. The Earth elemental with such force that it kind of effectively disintegrates into pebbles and. Yeah, Abe, you have to sort of like bring your shield up as it just showers down bits of bits of rock and boulder and vine and moss. And as the like as you kind of peer up to survey the damage. If this thing hadn't been throwing rocks at you or like swinging at you, you wouldn't have known that it existed. With all of this natural debris now kind of littered around. Very, very good, Cass. Who wants to. [00:59:22] Speaker B: Who's. [00:59:22] Speaker A: Who's going up next? There is one flight of steps before you reach the shrine. [00:59:29] Speaker C: Are we. [00:59:30] Speaker D: Are they going first? I mean, Cooper's also happy to always this time. [00:59:35] Speaker B: I mean, I'm always happy to. [00:59:37] Speaker C: Before we crack on. [00:59:39] Speaker A: Yes. [00:59:40] Speaker C: I'll call Abe over briefly. Let me patch you up, big man. I'll. I'll patch you up using regeneration. I'll touch you and spend three hope you can clear 1D four hit points. [01:00:01] Speaker A: Okay, so a you. You slow down to me guardi. [01:00:05] Speaker B: Oh, thank you, sir. 1D. [01:00:11] Speaker C: Was it one 1D, four hit points. [01:00:13] Speaker B: D O D6 not. [01:00:21] Speaker A: Oh, back up to full. [01:00:23] Speaker B: Back up to full. [01:00:24] Speaker C: And I'm once again hopeless. [01:00:26] Speaker B: That's all right because. Because that nice little healing has inspired Abe and Abe will tell you that. Oh, thanks very much. That's some good healing, that is. And you'll get three hope. [01:00:42] Speaker C: Oh, sick. Thanks. [01:00:51] Speaker A: You know what? You know what? That was inspiring in the face of such. Of such blatant hope mongering. I'm gonna spend a fear. [01:01:08] Speaker E: Decimate that hope. [01:01:13] Speaker A: As. So three more triffids launch themselves over the ledge like down the steps. And I think this time I'm going to. They're gonna target Mr. Gardy. I've forgotten. I've forgotten your surname. [01:01:36] Speaker C: Thank you very much. [01:01:38] Speaker A: Of course, of course. So these three triffids are going to do a group attack into Guardian, rolling an almighty eleven to hit. [01:01:47] Speaker C: Not quite. [01:01:48] Speaker A: Okay. In which case, yeah, their. Their aim as they hold themselves through the air is. Is kind of rocked slightly by the. The strong winds and they're kind of blown slightly off course. Who wants. [01:02:08] Speaker B: To. I'm happy to thwack them. I will give them. Oh, no, don't press that Libby. That makes your screen go bad. There we go. 16. [01:02:28] Speaker A: 16. That is a hit. [01:02:34] Speaker B: Nice. [01:02:35] Speaker A: I'll take the fear while I'm here. [01:02:38] Speaker B: Take the fear while you're here. [01:02:40] Speaker A: Takes you back up to three. 10 demand little baby. [01:02:46] Speaker B: It's a little baby. 10. [01:02:47] Speaker A: Okay, so that's two of them. What. What did you do to these two poor triffids? [01:02:54] Speaker B: Sliced them and diced them. [01:02:57] Speaker A: Julienne. [01:02:58] Speaker B: Julienne. Yes. They are absolutely dope and wod. Yeah, just. Just a little slices. [01:03:12] Speaker A: Okay. I will. I. When I said so. As it passes over to me as you Abe. As you kind of swat away two of these triffids, leaving just one left that realistically is going to be dispatched by the remaining four of you with somewhat ease. You feel this pulse of energy erupt from the shrine just up ahead. And. You see a bright light begin to emanate out from inside. Who's leading this charge? [01:04:06] Speaker B: Yeah, I continue with what I've been doing. Let's go. [01:04:11] Speaker E: Cass is hot on your heels. [01:04:14] Speaker B: I think. [01:04:15] Speaker E: Dragon gaddy by the arm. [01:04:18] Speaker B: I able stop at the front of the shrine and then look to the others in a kind of. Well you wanted a beer. You can go in first kind of. [01:04:32] Speaker A: Okay, so Griffin, wait for me. He shouts as he skitters up behind you. [01:04:38] Speaker B: Got your ear, Griff. [01:04:39] Speaker A: He's being uncharacteristically quiet. [01:04:42] Speaker B: So I like. [01:04:43] Speaker D: Like this. [01:04:43] Speaker A: You stay like this as you ascend this final staircase to the top of the standing stones. So like off to your. What is now your right you can see the. Like the fight between the two titans is still ongoing at this like the ground has stopped shaking because you've noticed that Faiza has now taken flight with the large kind of crystalline wings that emerge from. From her back. And the. The fight has now become purely aerial as they. They're like shoot meteors that are colliding into one another. There's flashes of blue and orange light brightening the. [01:05:27] Speaker C: The. [01:05:27] Speaker A: The night sky before it reverts back to the like the dull purple spotted with kind of magenta lightning. The shrine in front of you has a rising staircase to a effectively what was like a. A ten foot wide entrance that leads to this kind of domed area that is made of like natural stone. It's covered in kind of vines and like. What vines? Moss. Abe. It is exactly how you remember it from. From once upon a time. I reckon if I do. If I do this real quick. Yeah, there you go. So you can see it now and the. The. The dome of it it's more. It's almost like a. A circular ziggurat in shape where. Where the roof seemingly kind of rises up in stages. Abe, is this. Why does this shrine, apart from the fact you could commune with the world spirits here, why is this shrine of great importance to Rice Vilna? [01:06:52] Speaker B: Well, I think it was of great importance to Rice Vilna, maybe not so much anymore as it was the main point of our sort of communing with the gods. And it's where we would leave offerings, we would. Where we would have ceremonies, weddings, partnerships, all this kind of stuff. So it was a very important place for us before. [01:07:29] Speaker C: Everything. [01:07:29] Speaker B: Everything happened. [01:07:31] Speaker C: Okay. [01:07:32] Speaker A: In which case, as like with your height, you're able to see up the steps and inside and within. Within the shrine you can which is illuminated, you can see a solitary figure that is approximately as tall as a keeper, but doesn't. Doesn't have like the cloak, like the hooven feet, doesn't have the horns. But the figure appears to be interacting with the. Like the channeling stones in the center of the shrine. And the five of you, like the fig. This figure turns kind of almost silhouetted by the. The bright burning light coming out of the. The root, like the runic symbols on the floor. And the figure turns to regard you. You. And you acknowledge that it's. It looks plant like similar to say the triffids or the world walker or the. The galley dur that you have encountered on the way up. But there is something more intelligent behind its eyes. As it peers at you, Guardi, as you peer at this. This creature, you get that feeling that this is the pack alpha. And as it turns to regard you, what appear to be a second set of arms like, like leaf like wings emerge from its back like a. Like a beetle's wings. And then two additional arms unfurl from it, clutching bone like daggers. And as it. It spies you, Abe, is your head as it can see your head? Yeah. Who wants to go? Who's up first? [01:09:53] Speaker B: Go and cast. Shoot it in the head. This one's got a head. [01:09:57] Speaker C: I mean, I can try and tangle him again, I guess, before he starts flapping about all over the shop. [01:10:02] Speaker B: I don't mind. I don't mind. [01:10:07] Speaker E: Might be good to. Yeah, plant it. [01:10:09] Speaker A: You know what? You know what? You know what? I'm gonna be a real meanie. No. [01:10:18] Speaker D: Is he gonna attack us first? Dan. [01:10:20] Speaker A: I'm going to spend a fear. [01:10:23] Speaker D: Dan. [01:10:24] Speaker B: So me. [01:10:26] Speaker D: You can't offer us something and then take it away. [01:10:29] Speaker B: Dan. [01:10:29] Speaker A: Ah, you should have been should have been quicker. [01:10:33] Speaker D: That's not fair. [01:10:35] Speaker E: Well, already we had plans. [01:10:38] Speaker A: It will spend a fear, so I do have to spend another fear to drop me to one. And it will spawn three more triffids to run at you. [01:10:57] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:11:00] Speaker A: Smash him into pieces. How far is that? That's at close range. Okay, so it. As it turns to regard you, it lifts its hand and you see like a. Like guard. You sense this strong primal magic emanate from it as it caught. As the. Like the leaves and foliage around the entrance of the. Of the temple seemingly gain sentience and turn into these triffids. And you'll wonder like, this creature has just created sentient plant life from non sentient plant life. But yeah, the three triffids spawn and immediately take the spawn spotlight. So they will. They will all bundle into Abe and do a group attack. A0.a0 to hit. [01:11:59] Speaker B: Abe just looks at me like, really? We're doing this again? [01:12:04] Speaker A: Well, yeah, that's. Yeah, it is what it is. Okay, so that was. That was him. So that's his turn done. Who's going next? Cass. Sounds like Cass is going next. [01:12:18] Speaker E: Yeah, Castle just. She'll sigh and she'll step forward and she'll aim alimony at this thing. [01:12:33] Speaker D: And she'll roll A four with fear. [01:12:37] Speaker E: With fear. [01:12:38] Speaker C: Oh, dear. [01:12:39] Speaker A: A four with fear. Okie dokie. I'm thinking that the truth has actually did a really good job because they've. They've killed living. [01:12:48] Speaker E: Yeah, I was gonna say. [01:12:51] Speaker A: She'll be back, I'm sure. Okay, so as you. Yeah, you go to fire the. As you go to fire your pistol, what you don't expect is that this creature that still looking at you, and he's almost got a slightly kind of leonine face, but like there's a casual flick of the wrist and you watch as this vine that's kind of hanging over the entrance suddenly moves and intercepts your shot. And the creature turns back round and you realize that it is doing something with this stone, with this community stone. Would you like to move, Cass? [01:13:34] Speaker E: No, I think she'll stay where she is. She'll curse. [01:13:38] Speaker A: Okay, who wants to jump in next? [01:13:45] Speaker D: I think as we haven't got Abe, I think Cooper's also going to actually, you know what? Cooper will turn to Gardi and be like, can you. Can you restrain that chap like before? And I can. I. I shoot and do a tag team. [01:14:07] Speaker C: Give it a say. Hey. [01:14:10] Speaker A: Okay, so who's paying the hope? [01:14:13] Speaker D: I can pay the hope. I have three. [01:14:15] Speaker A: Hope you have three. Okay, so Gardy. Yeah. If you're going to try and lock this creature down and then Coop can shoot. So we'll need a what? A spell check and yeah, shooty shot. [01:14:39] Speaker D: Can I also add my lucky devil because I feel like if Cass is struggling to shoot, technically this feels like a lucky scenario. So I'll add plus three to my role in a second. [01:14:55] Speaker A: Have you got the hope for it? [01:14:58] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. No, I don't. Never mind. Well, I've got 16 anyway, so hopefully that's good. [01:15:03] Speaker A: Okay. 16 with fear. If Gardi rolls us a spell. Spell spell cast check for the tag team. [01:15:10] Speaker C: We still all right to see that with. I wasn't sure about the hope. [01:15:15] Speaker D: That's right. No, I. I've got three hope. I haven't got four hope to add to the experience. So that's my bad. [01:15:20] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:15:22] Speaker A: Ah, okay. So we're going 16 with fear. [01:15:27] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:15:31] Speaker A: Okay. As this creature turns back round, Garda, you like it's. It isn't it? Looks like a. Like a. Trying to best describe it. It does look like a. Like a humanoid. Like a four armed humanoid with these wings who's infused with like primal energy, but isn't an amalgam of kind of natural bits like the Earth Elemental was. So wherever your. Where are your vines coming from? [01:16:07] Speaker C: I think I'm gonna tap into a little tiny fragment of the primal energy that's making up the circle around him and they're just gonna burst straight from that energy and try and lock him in place from there. [01:16:22] Speaker A: Okay. In which case a 16 with fear does hit. I will take my fear. Guardi and Coupe. If you both roll, your damage rolls and we'll add them together. [01:16:42] Speaker C: Plus one. [01:16:47] Speaker A: Grand total of 18 damage. Where are you aiming? That's it, Coop. [01:16:56] Speaker D: I'm taking it from cast. I'm going to shoot him in the head. [01:17:01] Speaker A: Okay. So as you go to fire at the back of its head, as your bolt flies through, one of its like leaf like wings moves up to intercept it. The leaf is kind of. The bolt punches through the leaf but it manages to catch it much like a billowing cape worn by cavalry catch arrows. And the. So the bolt like it does flinch slightly from the pain, but it takes minor damage. But yeah, it flinches slightly as it turns and like snarls slightly at you. I will take my turn. It will. It will continue with its. With its. Whatever it's doing. So it will take its turn, do its thing. The countdown drops to 4. Who wants to jump in next? Livy is very dead. [01:18:11] Speaker D: So Livy's Here. [01:18:13] Speaker A: Oh, she here. Oh. Oh, hello. I'll bring her back in. Just real quick. Does Livy want to take the next turn? And you'll have to tell me if she says yes or no. [01:18:25] Speaker D: Yes. [01:18:27] Speaker A: Yes. Yes. Okay. Hang on. [01:18:28] Speaker D: She says smash. [01:18:32] Speaker A: Okay. Place that in. Okay. Right. Livy should be back momentarily. There she is. Hello. [01:18:42] Speaker B: Are these little triffies. [01:18:44] Speaker A: Triffids are still there. Cooper and Guardi of. So this thing's been restrained by your. By your energies, Guardi, by. By your spells. And it's just like taking a bolt to one of its wings. Yeah. Hey, what are you doing? [01:18:58] Speaker B: Is it. You say it's still restrained. You say it's restrained. [01:19:02] Speaker A: But yeah, the way is blocked by these triffids. [01:19:05] Speaker B: Okay, I will smash these triffids down then, please. [01:19:14] Speaker A: So 2020 with hope. [01:19:16] Speaker B: That is a hit effective. [01:19:19] Speaker A: Are you going to horn? [01:19:22] Speaker B: I might as well. [01:19:25] Speaker A: 13. Okay. So you. That's enough to take one. And then you manage to get enough damage to take out the others. So as you. As you wreck the three triffids, as you hack them down like a autumn's harvest. Would you like to move? [01:19:48] Speaker B: I would like to move. I think AB's not happy that he's. You know, he hasn't been here for a while, but he's not happy that he's desecrating this shrine. So I would like to get as far as I can, please. If I go to far range, can I make an agility roll? I like to get right up in his grill, please. [01:20:18] Speaker A: So if you roll your agility and then that will dictate how quickly you go. [01:20:22] Speaker B: Let's. [01:20:24] Speaker A: So, yeah, close will get you mostly of the way in and far will get you to him. [01:20:33] Speaker B: They're 13. [01:20:34] Speaker A: 13 with hope will be enough. So a you manage to make it all the way into the temple alongside this creature. It. [01:20:49] Speaker B: Can I see now I'm there. Can I see what it's doing. [01:20:53] Speaker A: You. So as. As you come charging in, it turns and you notice that it's got. It's currently. It seems to be pulsing energy into the communion stone. And as you enter, it turns and looks at you. I'm going to. Before anyone else goes, I'm going to start spotlight again. It looks to you and you realize that whatever it's doing is. It's like. It's. It's like a pulse of energy that's causing the communion stone to crack. And it's like it's trying to destroy it. [01:21:31] Speaker B: Oh, what a bad boy. [01:21:33] Speaker A: And as it sees you coming, it will. It will Activate. And. It will. It lifts up one of its hands and blasts you for an 18 to hit. [01:22:01] Speaker B: Double hits. [01:22:03] Speaker A: It deals 24 damage to you. [01:22:10] Speaker B: I'll take a couple of armor slots. [01:22:13] Speaker E: You have the charm. You have charm? [01:22:16] Speaker B: Oh, I have charm. I have my. My little rune ward down by 8. Is it 1D8? [01:22:30] Speaker A: Okay. [01:22:30] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:22:30] Speaker A: So if you want. Okay, you take 23 damage. [01:22:40] Speaker B: That 20, that's still only major. So I'll just take two. Because of my being a Guardian, I can just take two armor slots for that. [01:22:52] Speaker A: Okay. [01:22:53] Speaker B: I can't edit my sheet for some reason. [01:22:58] Speaker A: Okay, well, we'll sort that in a sec. So it blasts you and you shield yourself. Are you. Are you literally bringing your shield off and kind of deflecting it? [01:23:08] Speaker B: Shield is up. Shield is. [01:23:11] Speaker A: In which case, I think I will. It's only prudent if we turn the attention back to aid now that you are in this creature's face. And it seems slightly kind of shocked, looked confused that you're not down and you're still running at him. So what do you do? [01:23:31] Speaker B: What do you think? I would like to smash. Please, Dan. I will smash him right on his face. [01:23:46] Speaker A: Okay. 22 hits. [01:23:49] Speaker B: Foreign, But I can use my face. [01:24:00] Speaker A: 16. [01:24:04] Speaker B: That is. That's me. 16. [01:24:06] Speaker A: 16. In which case, as you charge in and you kind of give this roaring headbutt, the creep, like your head connects with its forehead, and it feels like you've just headbutted an oak tree. The. The creature, kind of rock, steps back a few steps and takes one step back, recoils, and then looks to you, and you realize you've dealt minor damage to it. [01:24:38] Speaker B: Always. Bad boy. I just headbutted a rock. I headbutted a rock into pieces. And I can't even head butt this little monkey boy. [01:24:47] Speaker A: Like, I will spend my final fear. And as you headbutt it and it takes a step back and looks to you, it turns to the. It looks at the communion stone, which is now cracked and kind of leaking. It looks like it's leaking SAP, if anything. It looks to the communion stone, then looks to you, and that this flash of frustration flitters across this creature's face. And it takes another step back, drops into a crouch, places its hands onto the ground, and you watch as its. [01:25:24] Speaker D: Form. [01:25:26] Speaker A: It seemingly just falls apart into bits of stick, leaves, and, like, moss, and it's gone, leaving you alone with this broken communion stone. [01:25:42] Speaker B: Ah, he just turns around. [01:25:46] Speaker A: Who's. Who's up next? [01:25:50] Speaker D: I. I was going to shoot at him, but he's no longer There he. [01:25:54] Speaker A: Is no longer there. [01:25:56] Speaker C: Yes. [01:25:57] Speaker D: Can I. Yeah. [01:25:59] Speaker E: Can I sense if it's still nearby? With my ability to sense magic things or. [01:26:07] Speaker A: So you can feel that? I guess it. Well, tell you what, right? If you roll me a. An instinct, I think it's got to be instinct. [01:26:20] Speaker E: Instinct. [01:26:20] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:26:21] Speaker E: That's my spell cast. That's a 12 with hope. [01:26:25] Speaker A: Okay. I would argue that you can't quite tell because the amount of primal energy. [01:26:33] Speaker E: That'S happening with the two gods battling. [01:26:36] Speaker A: There'S literally two world spirits just over. [01:26:38] Speaker B: There making a lot of noise. [01:26:40] Speaker A: So, yeah, it's. It's difficult to tell for the, like, the ambient energy that's surrounding you, but it looks like he's gone. Looks like he's kind of disapparated. Gardy, seems like you're up sick. [01:27:03] Speaker C: So this swirly whirly energy. [01:27:07] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:27:08] Speaker C: Does it feel like it's nice, good, clean, fresh, primal stuff, or does it have some of that purple weirdness swollen about with it? [01:27:21] Speaker A: I would also need an instinct check for you to try and gauge. [01:27:26] Speaker C: I shall gauge. Oh, can I add my ancient wisdom? [01:27:35] Speaker A: You can. You can for a hope. [01:27:38] Speaker C: Thank you. [01:27:38] Speaker B: If you. [01:27:39] Speaker A: You want to do the roll, I'll do the. I'll deduct the hope for you. [01:27:43] Speaker C: Thank you very much. How much. How much does that add? [01:27:48] Speaker A: Ancient wis. Your ancient wisdom is. Yeah. [01:27:52] Speaker C: Plus two 12 with hope. [01:27:56] Speaker A: A 12 with hope. Perhaps worrying. What you can feel like you. You can feel the. The primal manner that courses through this place probably like exaggerated by the presence of the Titans, not more than like a hundred meters away. And then you can feel that their mana feels slightly sour, like it's blighted. But what you recognize the 12. I mean, if you're. Are. Are you interact. Are you going to interact with the item as you're doing? Are you getting a. [01:28:50] Speaker C: Like the type? Well, the type of interaction depends on the vibe. Check. [01:29:02] Speaker B: The. [01:29:04] Speaker A: Back of a 12. You can feel the. The blight, if you will, seems to be growing in strength. Okay, well, but it does off the back of a hope. It seems like it's not kind of gone far enough that it's irreversible. [01:29:28] Speaker C: Cool. In that case. Yeah. I'm going to try and use my renewal on the object. [01:29:36] Speaker A: Okay. [01:29:39] Speaker C: Given that it's all drippy drippy, I'm hoping it's alive enough that healing will work. [01:29:43] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. So how are you? So if you're rolling renewal. [01:29:52] Speaker C: I don't. I usually wouldn't roll. I spend hope and then it gives 1D4. [01:29:56] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:29:57] Speaker C: Hit points. I have to do like a spell cast or something. [01:29:59] Speaker A: You like what? I'll do what? Let's say. Okay, so you. So in front of you, just to paint the scene. So there's this communion stone that looks like. Like a rough, jagged, like, Runestone. And notably you can see that on the two sides of it are two carvings. One of what you presume to be Pfizer and the other that you presume to be Brunan. However, the. This floating kind of rock is currently cracking under this, like, creeping energy that's seeping through it that that creature seemingly has put into it you. And that. That kind of growing blight sensation seems to be emanating from the communion stone like it's being corrupted as we speak. So if you want to channel your like, healing energy into it in an attempt to kind of purify it. [01:31:05] Speaker E: Who. [01:31:06] Speaker B: Who. [01:31:06] Speaker A: Does anyone else want to join in, like tag team in on this, or are we having. [01:31:13] Speaker B: I'm happy to help with strength. I can hold it. I can try and push it back together again with crushing force. [01:31:29] Speaker E: I think Cass might be quite obsessively if there's some way she can use that to help. [01:31:36] Speaker A: Yeah, can we all, like, as a. [01:31:39] Speaker E: Team, hold this thing together? [01:31:41] Speaker D: Cooper will just watch in case there's more triffids. [01:31:43] Speaker B: He is. [01:31:44] Speaker D: This is not his M.O. [01:31:45] Speaker A: But okay, I think it's easy. It's fair enough to say with your arcane sense cast, you can recognize that that kind of arcane flux that you felt within, like the SAP, for example, that seems to be the blight that is growing within this communion crystal. So perhaps with your. Your knowledge of arcane and primal, with G's kind of connection with the primal, if the two of you wanted to tag team. So Cass, if you wanted to tag team with Guardi, I would let you try and cleanse this thing together. [01:32:24] Speaker E: Team magic. [01:32:25] Speaker D: That's your experience, Georgia. [01:32:30] Speaker A: Yeah, if you've got an experience that helps, you can add that. Gardy. I think the way we'll. We'll wangle this well for both of you. Actually, the way we'll wangle this is it's gonna be a spell check test. Because you're using your renewal, Guardi, I'll give you advantage. [01:32:48] Speaker C: Oh, nice. [01:32:49] Speaker A: On your roll. So if both of you roll me a spell cast guarded with advantage, we'll take the highest and then see what happens. [01:32:57] Speaker E: I also have researcher experience. [01:33:03] Speaker A: Do you. Do you feel that you've researched. Well, I think you probably would have. [01:33:09] Speaker E: Researched arcane corruption research this obsessively yeah. [01:33:12] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah, I'm happy with that. Go for. Go for researcher. So you'll get a plus two. Guardi will get a plus D6. Griffin will remember you've got your. Your rally dice. He says. [01:33:26] Speaker E: Thanks, Griff. [01:33:28] Speaker A: Remember, I'm rooting for you. [01:33:32] Speaker D: Is this exciting? Is this so exciting? [01:33:34] Speaker E: What's happening? [01:33:34] Speaker A: Please, please, make me your spell cast rolls. [01:33:38] Speaker C: Guide me through, cass. [01:33:41] Speaker E: Okay, that's a 21. [01:33:43] Speaker A: Okay, 21 plus D6 for the rally. Die if you want to use it. [01:33:46] Speaker E: Oh, yes, of course. I will use that. [01:33:52] Speaker A: 20 with hope. Do you want to use your rally dice, Guardi? [01:33:56] Speaker C: Might as well. [01:33:59] Speaker A: So we've got 23 with fear. Oh, D6. So 23 with fear and a 24. Okay, so Cass will burn up your four. Hope for the tag team and that. Okay, so between the two of you, Guardi, you get a hope. [01:34:27] Speaker C: Neat. [01:34:28] Speaker A: Wonderful. Um, so, Cass, you're able to. As you focus, you're able to effectively kind of begin to isolate the arcane, actually, between the two of you. Describe to me how you cleanse this thing. [01:34:47] Speaker C: So I think, like, I am. I'm channeling and healing into this, and I keep feeling my. The. The energy that I'm putting. Putting into it, being fought back by the arcane in ways that I don't fully grasp. And that's the point where Cass, I think, probably comes in headshots. It just takes a gun out and shoots the stone. [01:35:12] Speaker B: Been researching this for years. [01:35:14] Speaker C: Yeah, I think, like. Yeah, I feel like it's. It kind of feels like a magic eye picture when you show me the way to look at comes into focus, and I'm able to sort of carve through and push out whatever the blight is that's on it. [01:35:31] Speaker A: Okay. In which case, as you focus and you fundamentally heal this communion stone, Cass, you feel that arcane stain kind of consumed by the primal mana. And soon it is. It's just. It's just gone. It's no longer present in the communion stone. The. There's carvings on the. On the stone of Pfizer and Burunan. They begin to glow in a. I can only say healthier manner. But, Gardi, at that moment, your head flicks back as you find as you're interact directly interacting with this thing, you find yourself in communion with two world spirits simultaneously. And your mind is racked with feelings of unrepentant rage and fury. There is this animalistic, panicked drive to destroy and sunder everything around you. And it's this moment that you realize that the screaming you can hear in your head are the combined voices of the two Titans. At which point you recognize that they are both infected with this arcane blight. And you think back and you recognize that in your glimpses of them as they've been fighting overhead, their bodies had been. There were large blood red crystalline protrusions jutting from their bodies, which you would have most more than likely been informed is a sign of arcane corruption. And at this moment, whilst you can come, you can commune with them and give them very basic commands, but you realize that they, these two are fundamentally warring beasts. What is your command to them? Your one word command? [01:37:50] Speaker C: War. [01:37:53] Speaker D: What? [01:37:54] Speaker B: War. [01:37:54] Speaker A: As in war? [01:37:56] Speaker C: That was my thinking noise, Dan. [01:37:58] Speaker A: Oh my. [01:38:01] Speaker B: What is it good for? Absolutely nothing. [01:38:03] Speaker C: The gy Heel turn. [01:38:07] Speaker A: You. You. You know that right now they're clash like all they want to be doing is clashing with one another. But their combined primal energies is what's causing this kind of cataclysmic weatherscape which. Which has only been happening within the last week or so. Yeah. You are able to give them one. One directive. What is it? [01:38:39] Speaker C: Comb. [01:38:43] Speaker A: Okay. As you think of the concept of home, you feel that thought descend into the communion stone and then leak out through the earth like. Like under. Like rivers underfoot. And the screaming that you hear from the two battling Titans softens slightly at the concept of home. And you like. As you kind of concentrate as hard as you can on these thoughts. You hear scream like yells, battle cries come from the two Titans. And there is a staccato explosive sound from outside. And with a final crack of thunder. Thunderstorm begins to subside. [01:39:51] Speaker B: Very nice. [01:39:57] Speaker A: And as the stone in your hands resonates with primal energy and then see seemingly shuts off as the mana dissipates from it into the ground. The five of you are left in the shrine and we'll take a quick break. Thank you everyone for watching this extended first half. We will grab. We'll jump on a real quick 10 minute break. Right, I'll see you all in 10 minutes. [01:41:04] Speaker B: Bye bye. [01:41:08] Speaker A: Hi, Internet. Hi, I'm DM Dan. We have Explorers of Elsewhere. Welcome back to the second part of episode six of the Titan Isles. I hope everyone's teed and weed. I've now got myself a nice cold drink which I was dying for throughout. Utterly breathed off. First off, yes, thank you to everyone who's watching in YouTube land and in Twitch land. Apologies for not catching up with you during the fight, but yeah, there's. There's been some. Some good old chatter happening. We return to the five. Our five adventurers in a. Uh. Like in the. The shrine at the top of the standing stones that are sacred to the village or were once sacred to the village of Rice Vilna. And we immediately cut to G as you sort of like stumble away from this communion stone. This large kind of jagged rock. Like. Well, it looks like. Yeah, a giant floating rock covered in kind of runic symbols. But you've noticed that the carvings of Fizer and Burunan, the two guardian. The two titans. They though the seemingly the mana has dissipated off the back of your command to. Of home. And in this moment the world suddenly seems significantly more quiet. There's. There was a staccato kind of crack of energy from outside. But as the five of you turn to look out of the entrance to the. The shrine, you notice that the constant. The. The str. Solid drumming of torrential rain has now stopped seemingly in a moment. And yeah, the outside sounds calm. As you reel away from the communion stone. What's. What's going on in your head? Gardy. [01:43:37] Speaker C: I think too much to really be dealing with at any one time. Partly he's just glad that it's been raining so they can't see how sweaty he is at the moment. [01:43:51] Speaker A: See. [01:43:56] Speaker C: Something real terribly wrong. Broken. [01:44:03] Speaker E: Broken how? [01:44:07] Speaker C: It's like a disease or an infection or a parasite. Something's raging through them. [01:44:18] Speaker E: Infecting a God. [01:44:20] Speaker C: The. I think those were mana crystals on them. We shouldn't. I don't think this should be there. [01:44:29] Speaker E: No, no. I mean, how can something infect a God? [01:44:38] Speaker B: Coop? [01:44:39] Speaker C: Any ideas? You're. [01:44:41] Speaker D: You're asking me? Jeez, you are lost. [01:44:47] Speaker B: Like someone that might know something about infectious diseases. [01:44:51] Speaker A: For if anyone wants to see what their knowledge of like arcane crystallization is like, please roll me a knowledge reaction check. So we've got seven, you got six. [01:45:16] Speaker B: Oh, I mean, I might as well. [01:45:20] Speaker A: Professor Abe over here. [01:45:22] Speaker C: Yeah, he's a professor. [01:45:26] Speaker D: I'm so tempted to roll for the same reason. [01:45:32] Speaker C: Yeah, maybe. What I ask you, actually, is. [01:45:36] Speaker A: There is Professor Abe. [01:45:43] Speaker B: He's gonna put some patches on his elbows. [01:45:45] Speaker C: Justify this, Dan. [01:45:49] Speaker A: Well, tell you what, Abe, you. Well, I think Livy, as. As a Livy has some concept of, like, arcane corruption and crystallization from things like tails. [01:46:04] Speaker B: Yes. [01:46:06] Speaker A: So I think I will ask you how Abe knows and what Abe knows about arcane crystallization in such a way that anyone in chat who's watching and has no idea what I'm talking about might have a better idea. Describe this as only Abe can. [01:46:26] Speaker B: Well. [01:46:30] Speaker E: Explain. [01:46:32] Speaker C: Where'd you get a pipe from? [01:46:36] Speaker E: Is that a tweed jacket? [01:46:41] Speaker A: The half moon spectacles? [01:46:45] Speaker B: Well, you see, I heard we. You know, we got. We had a. We talked about this in. When I used to. To live around here before I lived in White Mountains. I see. Sometimes what happens is this. It's like. It's like it gets. [01:47:15] Speaker A: If you need the DM to tag team, I can spend some hope for you. [01:47:22] Speaker B: Sometimes, you know, things happen and. Yeah. You might need to explain. [01:47:32] Speaker A: Okay. Right. [01:47:35] Speaker B: So I'll. I'll word it out as Abe, so you. [01:47:41] Speaker A: So Abe explain. I. I guess. [01:47:48] Speaker B: See, it's not as easy as you think. Damn. [01:47:50] Speaker D: No. [01:47:51] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm sure. Yeah. I think it's the fact that it's Abe and then thinking, what life experiences does Abe have that would support life experiences? [01:47:59] Speaker C: Maybe he ran into a crystallized creature in the woods. [01:48:03] Speaker A: Quite possibly. I mean, it's some. Either between that, like, a creature that had. Perhaps in the. During the war, perhaps like during the eschaton, there were creatures that you saw. Saw, like, you know, these beautiful, natural, like, creatures that roamed the mountains that would become the Titan Isle Islands. And their bodies were just horrifically kind of disfigured and kind of overgrown with these hard, sharp, crystalline growths, usually in, like, in a myriad of colors, like, depending on the. The type of arcane manner that was coursing through them. But the. The effects of the eschaton and the. And the War of Dragons had just imbued these creatures with so much latent arcane mana that the manner itself was just solidifying within them, much like when you leave a jar of honey out and eventually it just becomes rock hard as it crystallizes from its core outwards. [01:49:18] Speaker B: So we've got to put more than the microwave cool on a sunny windowsill. [01:49:22] Speaker A: A sunny windowsill, yeah. And you relate to Cass saying, what can corrupt a God? I. I guess that's. That's the Main point of worry is that normally it's. It were mortals or beasts or whatnot, but found themselves like found themselves in you know, afflicted by crystallization. But a being of. Of actual primal manner like a world spirit to infect one of those. It's. That is potentially like society. Like that's a cataclysm. Says Abe. [01:50:17] Speaker B: Says Abe. Just add in some y. Some DS throughout that and then it will be a. [01:50:29] Speaker A: Who. Who do you. Between the. The like. Griffin is suspicious, is unusually quiet. But between the other four of you who has seen apart from Abe because we. That's how he knows who else has seen a victim of a recipient of crystallization. [01:50:55] Speaker E: Trying to work out who's more likely. [01:50:59] Speaker C: I suppose Guardians traveled around quite a bit. [01:51:02] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:51:03] Speaker C: So there's a. I, I don't think he'd have run into like a person or anything, but he probably will have occasionally seen creatures that are infected and they would have just kept their distance. There's probably some superstitions around them, I'd imagine. [01:51:21] Speaker E: Maybe plant life as a druid. [01:51:24] Speaker C: That's true. [01:51:26] Speaker A: That would very much be the case. Cass and Cooper, how much time do you reckon the two of you have spent in the city of Avermore? I think the capital of Elsweyr, if you will. [01:51:39] Speaker E: Yeah, I think Cass has probably spent an amount of time there since. Since she became an explorer. And I imagine they came in and out of it. Or would they have? She's definitely been there recently. [01:51:54] Speaker D: So Avonmore wasn't really a thing before the war, or would you say it was? [01:52:01] Speaker A: It was a city that existed, but it only became the sort of like the capital hub of the rediscovered world post like post war post rediscovery. When it started building the portals to the various outposts, I mean they were. [01:52:19] Speaker E: All over the shop when they were together. They traveled all over what was the land before it was all split. So Fe would say they at least like stayed in it a few times before the eschaton. [01:52:35] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:52:39] Speaker A: In which case I think perhaps it would be you, Cass. And quite possibly digging into the. Your. Your background as like a hardcore researcher. [01:52:53] Speaker B: Oh yeah. [01:52:54] Speaker E: If it's anything to do with magic, she's been on it. [01:52:56] Speaker A: Sure. In which case the, the. The affliction of crystallization has long been understood to be irreversible. Once arcane manner begins crystallizing within your body and then starts kind of taking over parts of your body, that's. That's it. That's like you don't. You don't come back from that, and for a vast majority of people, it becomes a bit of a death sentence. The. There is speculation that, you know, if someone didn't pass on as a result of crystallization, they might eventually become crystalline. However, there is a. A rather unusual kind of. I guess it's what you could call it a research company within the. Within aver. You know, it's. Some of their findings are refuted and they. They don't seem to have a lot of. Kind of official backing because of the ideas that are coming out of this little kind of research hub. But the leader, you're not 100% sure of her name, but like you, as you. You're led to believe that she is a. A Terran sprite who claims that she was once a victim of crystallization and then managed to revert it. And you've heard the speculation of maybe that's because she's a Terran sprite, maybe it's because of this. Maybe. But you know, there are, there are a number of academics that go that kind of like ruffle their mustaches and like wibble their jowls saying, oh no, this is certainly not reversible. But what's curious about that little research hub is this little Terran sprite. Yeah. Like her claim that crystallization is reversible is not. In fact one of the more outlaw is one of the less outlandish things that her research center is currently working on. [01:55:32] Speaker E: I feel like given her family history and the many tracks of research Cass herself has gone down, this place is entirely within her wheelhouse. [01:55:43] Speaker A: Okay. In which case, if it's something that you would have been involved with, you do know the sprite's name. It's this rather brash and very kind of frenetically busy Terran sprite woman called Galena or. And like her, her workshop is just. Her workshop is a hazard to health in general because there's just so much crazy stuff going on in there. [01:56:15] Speaker C: She likes how it's organized. Dan. [01:56:19] Speaker E: Find everything just fine. [01:56:23] Speaker A: The end. Like a lot of the. The workshop space recently has been dedicated to reverse engineering. This curious, like the term being used is golem. But this, this, this large kind of metal suit wearing like it's a giant. Basically a giant walking suit. It looks a bit like a deep sea diving suit, but apparently it, it arrived with the emergence of Alicia and the spirits. The spirit that is locked within this suit claims she is a keeper. And they're trying to like reverse engineer it to see, oh, can we do this ethically, slash unethically. As only Galena Orman is famous for. Yeah. So there's this very kind of weird and wacky theorist in Ava Moore that says that crystallization can be reversed, but otherwise normally it's. Other people assume it's irreversible, but it's never infected a world spirit. [01:57:35] Speaker E: Cash relays this to the group with an emphasis on it's never infected a world spirit. [01:57:47] Speaker B: Well that's interesting at all. But you know, a little tearing Sprite. They're like wow, like this big. You see that guy? He will much ease. I know that's a lot of reversing to be reversed. [01:58:04] Speaker E: It's got me some way of, I don't know, amplifying it. [01:58:10] Speaker B: Well, I think we saw it anyway guys said, you know, go home and they've gone home. I kind of. [01:58:19] Speaker C: I hate to be the bearer of bad news, Abe, but we have not sorted. Remains very much unsorted. [01:58:28] Speaker B: Well, the rain stops. There's no purple clouds in the sky and they've stopped fighting. I don't know. I think we've done as best as we could. You know, maybe somebody else will take over from here. [01:58:40] Speaker C: A relatively decent chance that this island will either explode or sink into the ocean some at some point in the future. [01:58:50] Speaker E: And I still haven't gotten a chance to talk to them. [01:58:54] Speaker B: Well, you know, Gardy did, so some of us did. [01:59:00] Speaker C: Doesn't seem like we're feeling very chatty. Oh, it's like. It's like trying to just separate two fighting dogs. [01:59:13] Speaker B: What I found with dogs anyway, you just, you know, you just separate them for a couple of days. [01:59:23] Speaker A: And surely there's no real difference between a dog and a God. [01:59:27] Speaker E: Cuz you just turn switch the nasal. [01:59:30] Speaker A: Oh my God. The old switcheroo. [01:59:36] Speaker B: Professor Abe is on the case. [01:59:38] Speaker E: The way to finish this campaign after all. [01:59:42] Speaker A: I can only imagine. Professor Abe's pipe switches to a little bubble pipe. [01:59:51] Speaker B: There he is. [01:59:52] Speaker A: So what's. Cooper has been somewhat. Somewhat quiet. Given everything that Cooper has heard. What do you think the next stage of the plan is? What's the next steps? [02:00:10] Speaker D: I mean he's a bit, you know, he. He had no idea that this was going to be as mad as this is. He thought he was literally gonna be dropping them off and then coming back on the ship after he did his stuff and now he's using his stuff. Might actually be involved with their stuff. And their stuff is nuts. He doesn't really know what he's really doing. So apart from my cat trying to drink my. My very cold drink. Thank you Percy, it's really not a good time. Not a good time? [02:00:45] Speaker A: It's the best time. It's RP Time. [02:00:49] Speaker D: You like to miss me, don't you? I think he's. I think he's taking this all in and feeling just a little bit overwhelmed. And there's pro. Like, I think Cass, having known him better, can just see he doesn't really know what he's doing. And I think he's gonna try and cover it with like a. I mean, at the end of the day, guys, is this really our problem? [02:01:14] Speaker B: Like, why. [02:01:15] Speaker D: Why are we talking to the gods anyway? If it's like, I'm. I'm kind of Abe at this point? I've gotta be honest, I'm with Abe at this point. Like, really the. [02:01:22] Speaker E: Look, Cass shoots him across this little temple could fire holes into rock. [02:01:31] Speaker A: And she is very good at shooting holes through people's heads. [02:01:34] Speaker E: Very good at shooting holes into things. [02:01:36] Speaker D: You probably, like, backtracks and digs himself a bigger hole. I've just been like, can we just. Like, we. We've had a very. Not great time. [02:01:47] Speaker B: We. [02:01:48] Speaker D: Like, what time of the day is it, Dan? Can we tell? [02:01:53] Speaker B: Now? [02:01:54] Speaker D: It's not stormy. [02:01:55] Speaker A: So as you emerge out of the shrine onto the top of the standing stones, the sight that you see, I mean, to use the term it is day and night. You've emerged into a different world from the one that you entered from. The. The heavy, dark, like thunder clouds that blotted out the sun have almost immediately kind of dissipated. And you quickly realize that it must have been the presence of the two titans in proximity to one another and their clashing energies creating this kind of. I say, weather, like, weather cataclysm. But now the. Like, the sun is warm on your face as you look up at it. Like, you know, everything is wet and things are dripping, but it just. The. The wetness simply reflects the sunlight that you haven't seen since you arrived on the island. And the. The island itself looks like it's literally glistening. It's about midday, you know, so you arrive, like, first thing in the morning. You've traveled for a couple of hours. You got cooped up in the village. You came up here. Yeah, like, no more than six hours on the island. A lot has happened in those six hours. [02:03:31] Speaker D: Yeah. Which. Which Cooper will kind of like, we have not properly stopped. I know we had some food with Abe's old mates, but that's not really the same as stopping and reflecting and figuring out what we're supposed to be doing. I propose that we find somewhere safe to sit and discuss next steps so that, you know, we figure out what's going on properly without, like in the heat of the moment considering everything that's going on. Because there's a lot. It's obviously happened and I. This isn't really my radio. Usually I just get told what to do. So if you really know what you want to do, fine. But I just here to shoot things with a crossbow, so that. That's what I'm going to do. If you need me to do that, I will do that. Or I'll find a safe place to rest. Okay. [02:04:33] Speaker A: What's. What's Guardi think making of it? What does Guardi think the next step should be? Be. [02:04:42] Speaker C: Just say, Cooper, if you care about anyone on that little island, anyone here, we need your help. We need you to buy into help, because that could be gone. [02:05:03] Speaker D: I'm not saying I don't want to help. [02:05:04] Speaker B: I just. [02:05:05] Speaker D: I just. It's very hard to understand exactly what it is. Where we look at us, we are. We are little apart from ape people who apparently are going to try and fix a God from being infected. What are we supposed to do about that? [02:05:20] Speaker B: Two gods gotta fix two guys infected. [02:05:25] Speaker D: Not even two. [02:05:26] Speaker B: Not one. [02:05:26] Speaker D: That's two. [02:05:29] Speaker A: Sounds like a griffin. Griffin steps forward, looking slightly sheepish, I guess, and he turns to the two of you, Cass and Guardi. And you two just like, you're like explorers though, right? [02:05:52] Speaker C: Yes, that's what it says in the badge. [02:05:55] Speaker A: Well, so. So surely you know, from what I, you know, like, I'm not an explorer, so I don't know exactly. But from. From what I understand, I mean, the explorers all just kind of help each other out. And the explorers, I mean, they've got. They've got some of the most powerful mages in all of elsewhere. Right? Like, that's, that's the. That it's them that made up the. The explorers. So I mean, because, I mean, you're all explorers, so clearly you're all just like the best of buddies. So perhaps we just have to go back to Avonmore and. And speak to them and get them to come sort this out. Because, I mean, Cooper's right. I mean, you know, I mean, we're great and all, but I don't know if we're great enough to stop two gods. Maybe one God, but not two gods. [02:06:34] Speaker C: No, we want. Yeah, we can't sort this out ourselves, but. [02:06:39] Speaker E: But we're not. [02:06:39] Speaker C: We can find someone who can. [02:06:41] Speaker E: I mean, we're not just gonna hand this over to someone else. I'm not gonna just hand this over to someone else. If some of us want to. To run away and she looks directly at Cooper, they are absolutely welcome to do so, but I'm not doing that. [02:06:59] Speaker A: I mean, we could always go back, get help, come with them, and then be telling like, be like showing them directions to go in, you know, and, and, and, and telling whether the, the good places to eat are and, and, you know, telling them about all the nice people in, in that, that village in, in Abe's. In Abe's village. I mean, we, we could be their guides kind of thing. Could we? So, so we, we still get some of the glory, but, but that they can be doing all the dangerous stuff, then we can get the glory. [02:07:34] Speaker E: As long as they can come with us and they don't. [02:07:38] Speaker C: Yeah. Maybe there's more of an advisory role for us on this project. [02:07:44] Speaker E: It's clear we know the most about what's happening. [02:07:48] Speaker B: I think I know the most. [02:07:52] Speaker C: Inexplicably, that does seem to be true. Yes. [02:07:56] Speaker E: I am perplexed about that. [02:08:01] Speaker B: Well, you know, lay, isn't it? [02:08:08] Speaker C: Eggs are like onions. [02:08:10] Speaker B: They are. [02:08:16] Speaker C: All right, so I guess we, we go. We either set up camp or maybe we find our way home. Well, have a good night's sleep and then tackle this. [02:08:29] Speaker A: Well, we know that the. We know that the pirates are kind of loitering around, ready to give us a lift back. I mean, I, I hope they are. I hope Ungryn is gonna come pick us up, but maybe, yeah, if we, if we head back to the beach and. I don't know. Do you. Do you flagger a ship down? Do you fly? Yeah, basically. You get them to pick us up, take us back to Dorlishal and then go from there. Because we can go to Avonmoor from Dorlishal. [02:08:53] Speaker E: We can go through the portal. That's how we got here. [02:08:57] Speaker B: Yeah, well, if, if the storm stops, we still got those little row boats and just roll back. It's only like five, six miles, isn't it? [02:09:11] Speaker C: Actually a fair point. [02:09:13] Speaker A: That's. Yeah. [02:09:15] Speaker B: You passed one of those boats, didn't you? You kept it in time and space. [02:09:19] Speaker C: Didn't your boat explode the wave? [02:09:22] Speaker B: Yeah, well, it was. Why you have to share someone else's or. [02:09:25] Speaker E: Hey, what's the biggest flying animal that Guardi can turn into? [02:09:31] Speaker C: Let me consider my druid. [02:09:35] Speaker A: Bonus question. [02:09:36] Speaker E: Can we ride him? [02:09:41] Speaker A: Griffin? Well, Griffin will just sort like, nod. Oh, yeah, we got the rowboats. I mean, I, I time locked mine on the shore. So as long as we didn't, you know, have a rest for a short period of time. Time, then the boat's still going to be there. [02:09:53] Speaker B: And then six hours and we've been straight through. [02:10:00] Speaker A: He smiles at you as you all cast your mind back to the short rest that you took at the village. [02:10:05] Speaker B: Yeah, but there was more than there was. My boat got smashed. [02:10:10] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:10:11] Speaker B: One was in a time block. [02:10:12] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:10:13] Speaker B: And there was. There was another one. [02:10:17] Speaker A: I'm sure the 5 could fit on one rowboat. [02:10:19] Speaker B: Right? Yeah. Well, if, if you know, Guardi, that's. [02:10:29] Speaker C: One down tiny onto the front. I'll add a bit of pull. You can just kind of stack. [02:10:41] Speaker A: What is the plan, ladies and gents? Are we. So are we heading back? Are you. Are you. If nothing else, heading back to the shore to either get rowboats back? [02:10:51] Speaker E: I suppose we're heading back to the shore. See what. Heading back to the shore, Slash, lay a rowboat. [02:10:56] Speaker A: Chris has suggested we wrangle some sea turtles. [02:11:01] Speaker C: It could work. [02:11:03] Speaker B: Got one rowboat, two seals for Jack Sparrow. [02:11:05] Speaker A: It work? [02:11:06] Speaker B: We use them as little like jet skis. [02:11:10] Speaker C: Amazing. [02:11:11] Speaker B: On the back of the boat. [02:11:11] Speaker A: Perfect. [02:11:12] Speaker C: Perfect. [02:11:13] Speaker A: You don't have to get two for all of you because Gardi can become a sea turtle. [02:11:19] Speaker B: Brilliant. [02:11:20] Speaker C: I want to run the sea turtle. [02:11:26] Speaker B: Right, That's a plan. Then let's get. Let's get back. Let's get back home. [02:11:33] Speaker A: In which case who as you make your way back to. So where are you currently? So let's have a quick, quick little gander at the map. So you are currently. Oh, that's not loading. Okay, never mind. So you are. Oh, there we are. So, yeah, the five of you are basically around pretty much where Griffin's token is. So let me stack you all up again. So, yeah, it's gonna take you. It's not that long. It's not that far to get back to the shore. So seven, it's about 11 miles back to the coast. So it won't take you all that long in the grand scheme of things and arguably, like moving will be significantly quicker now that the weather isn't absolutely heinous. So, yeah, you can. You can certainly. If let's. Let's say it's 1pm you can be back on the coastline by 4pm if you. Because you can also just follow the river. [02:12:54] Speaker B: Just follow the river down. [02:12:55] Speaker A: Follow the river down. So if the four. If the five of you doing that. So you're back on the shore by about 4 o'. [02:13:03] Speaker B: Clock. [02:13:06] Speaker A: So we'll move you along there as you're going who's which conversation between two of you are we focusing on? Sing in on just a little. Just a little kind of side. Side glance of a conversation. As. As you're walking along, like two of you drop behind the other three to get a little bit of privacy so you can natter. [02:13:36] Speaker D: I was going to suggest that Cooper needs to talk to Cass at some point because I haven't really talked yet. [02:13:44] Speaker E: And she is absolutely blanking him after that. That conversation. [02:13:55] Speaker D: Well, he's gonna try. [02:13:57] Speaker E: He can certainly try. [02:14:05] Speaker D: Look, I'm. I'm really sorry for what I said. I'm just. This is not how I was expecting any of the last couple of days to go and it's a bit overwhelming. [02:14:21] Speaker E: It's exactly what I expected of you. [02:14:24] Speaker D: Great. [02:14:25] Speaker E: See, some people just don't really change. [02:14:34] Speaker D: I think the refinery finds that really hard and he. I think he tries to like, steal himself. It's like, you know what? [02:14:51] Speaker C: Fine. [02:14:51] Speaker A: Fine. [02:14:53] Speaker D: I was gonna give you something. I'll give it to you anyway. A peace offering at least. And he'll pull out the bear tip that he stole from Eggs Village. This is one of the kind of marble things that we were talking about. The weird. Anyway, the. Her hammer was made of it. It seems to be part of the mountain God thing. I thought you might be interested. A piece, please. I can at least try. Let me try. [02:15:33] Speaker E: Try to continue blanking him. But it is very clear that he knows how to give her gifts. And she is very interested. She. She sort of reaches out and kind of like it takes it as thanks. [02:15:51] Speaker D: It's the least I could do. [02:15:56] Speaker E: Thanks for coming up here with us. I suppose. [02:16:03] Speaker D: Yeah. I mean, technically I do need to be here, but I don't really know why. A job. I wasn't given many of the details, but I'll figure it out when we know what we're doing. [02:16:22] Speaker E: Well, that's what you're always around for, isn't it, Cooper? And she kind of like. She claps him slightly on the arm. Not getting any of the details. [02:16:33] Speaker C: Great. [02:16:35] Speaker D: Thanks, guys. [02:16:41] Speaker A: The five of you reached the shore and it's. It's certainly a different. Again, it's a completely different scene from the one that you arrived at. The open air of the coast is a welcome reprieve from walking through like the dense forest following this river down towards the. The southern coast. Now that the heat and the sun is not being obscured by the. The oppressive like thunderstorms, but perhaps signaled by the sudden like dissipation of adverse weather, you can see that on the horizon, like, not far off from the coast is. Is the ship that you sailed in on. [02:17:42] Speaker D: Oh, bummers. [02:17:44] Speaker A: I've forgotten what we called it. The Intrepid. [02:17:49] Speaker E: Oh, it wasn't the Intrepid. [02:17:50] Speaker C: It's just Intrepid something. Pretty sure it's the Intrepid. [02:17:55] Speaker B: Just Intrepid. Full stop. [02:17:56] Speaker C: Just the Intrepid. [02:17:57] Speaker A: Yeah, well, it, yeah, you see, boss, I'm gonna ship the the Intrepid. [02:18:04] Speaker C: There's a smear of paint after it there. [02:18:06] Speaker A: Yes. And luckily, you see, like, Griffin finds his wrath. His rowboat has not dashed itself across the rocks in, like, after the time lock stopped. Um, but yeah, there are two. Two rowboats kind of bobbing gently in the water, which will be enough to ferry the five of you back to Ungryn. [02:18:39] Speaker B: The ship. Who's the smallest? Gabby, I think sitting on Abe's knee. Then. Come on. [02:18:52] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:18:52] Speaker C: All right. [02:18:58] Speaker A: When you're, when you're sailing back, you know, it's a relatively short journey from the coast to door Shal. As you're sailing back to the the, the expedition town, is there a conversation that sparks up between Abe and someone or g and someone or a Ben guarding. [02:19:21] Speaker C: Well, we're cuddly in close, so we might as well. [02:19:23] Speaker B: We're pretty close, I think. [02:19:30] Speaker A: So this will be like when you're on un Ship. [02:19:33] Speaker B: On unri Ship. [02:19:34] Speaker C: Oh, okay. [02:19:35] Speaker B: Not us rowing. [02:19:36] Speaker C: Regrettably, I am no longer sitting on your knee. [02:19:39] Speaker A: I mean, you still could be. [02:19:42] Speaker C: No, we're not there yet. [02:19:44] Speaker B: Not quite point, I think. [02:19:51] Speaker C: Oh, maybe I'm sharing that smoke. IOU Yep. [02:19:57] Speaker B: I think we've managed to get a, a flint off of one of the pirates. I'm sure. I think it would be. I think Abe's a bit of a serious secret sort of gossiper. I think you'll be quite interested in what's you do. You know what I got, I got questions. I got quite a lot of questions. [02:20:23] Speaker C: Can't promise I have answers. [02:20:25] Speaker B: Well, 1. What is the deal between those two? [02:20:33] Speaker C: Now, that is an easier question than I was expecting. [02:20:36] Speaker B: I, I, I don't get it. Like, they hate each other for that kind of like is this. They got this weird energy. You know, they're like, oh, I don't know what's going on. [02:20:49] Speaker C: Like, you know, they're, you know, their exes. Right. [02:20:53] Speaker B: Oh, well, that makes more sense. [02:20:57] Speaker C: There you go. So I'm in my people. When married couples break up, you have a burning ceremony. You take all some items that you both treasure together, and you Burn those and you cancel out your relationship with each other. You go from fresh as though you've never met each other before. [02:21:22] Speaker B: Sounds like they need one of those then, don't it? [02:21:24] Speaker C: It seems like that works really well now that. That I've seen the alternative. [02:21:30] Speaker B: Yeah, we think they need to. Need to do something. [02:21:34] Speaker C: Yeah, I think something starting with F. One with the other. Maybe a fight, maybe not. [02:21:43] Speaker B: Oh yeah. I don't know. We gotta get something out of this system, that's for sure. Wait. Second question. You know, what about the gods? Like he's even a. No quite a lot he doesn't. Let's just lay us back home. Wherever home is. [02:22:04] Speaker C: That's a much harder one. I. I was always told stories when I was growing up, but they were always sort of. Well, you know that we were taught that the world spirits were watching us and that they were. You know, they were always the there looking after us. But there's always stories really. And then. Well found out at the same time everyone else did really that a lot more real than we thought. And that was very comforting until about two hours ago. [02:22:45] Speaker B: Yeah. [02:22:45] Speaker C: Well, I mean, you know, we were talking about purpose before and whether we're just sort of drifting through things or trying to get stuff. What do you do in the thing that's your purpose is so different is he's been damaged. Not gonna lie to you. I'm feeling pretty lost. [02:23:18] Speaker B: What I mean you just got try and we just try and fix it. I mean, if that's your purpose is Snow about these spirits and the spirits are in trouble. Maybe. Maybe that's your purpose. [02:23:41] Speaker C: You know, I always thought that. I mean I came here so that they could. They could help us. But how are we meant to help them? That's in. [02:23:53] Speaker A: That's. [02:23:57] Speaker B: Yeah. I tell you what. You did a. You did a bloody great good job when you talk to that time. I didn't. You know, you managed him to get him to split up and go home. You know, that's not what normal. I. I could imagine doing that. I wouldn't know how to say that in the time period I would have just said like, oh, stop fighting. You had the. You had the brains to say, you know, go home. [02:24:23] Speaker C: It's just because I've spent a lot of time with animals and they feel like scared animals. Animals. And because they're afraid, getting them to. Getting them to go home. Getting them to. To hide seemed like the best option. I think if I ask them to calm down. Well, I mean, how do you. How do you feel when someone asks you to calm down. [02:24:52] Speaker B: Yeah. No, not Gray. I don't like nothing. Nobody told me nothing. [02:24:57] Speaker C: Damn right. [02:25:00] Speaker B: But I mean, I don't know, when I used to live in the commune, we're always told that they. They was looking after us. And when they came out, they. They did help, didn't they? They kind of put everything back right again. So maybe it's. We gotta get them back to that state. I don't think they're bad. [02:25:27] Speaker C: Maybe it's our turn. [02:25:28] Speaker B: Ah, maybe. [02:25:30] Speaker C: Or somebody else saved us. [02:25:31] Speaker B: Maybe not my turn. Maybe somebody else's turn. [02:25:36] Speaker C: I mean, what, Abe, if we hadn't had you with us back there, we'd have been killed by trees within about six seconds. [02:25:45] Speaker B: Oh yeah, I know you have to chop it down a tree, that's for sure. [02:25:49] Speaker C: Damn right. Well, I mean, if you'll stick with. [02:25:53] Speaker B: Us. [02:25:55] Speaker C: Just till we get this sorted, it'd be an honor. And without meaning to pry at all, maybe it'd help you get a little bit close to your girl again. [02:26:10] Speaker B: Are you. She don't want to know me. Yes. She don't want to know nothing. [02:26:17] Speaker C: We'll see. I'll. I think we both have a pretty impossible task. I'll try and fix a relationship with the gods. You try and fix relationship with a you're pissed off girl. [02:26:33] Speaker B: I got more hope for the gods, to be honest. Well, we'll give it a go. [02:26:40] Speaker C: As to us, eh? [02:26:44] Speaker A: As the two of you kind of cheers one another. Where do we find Cooper on the ship? [02:26:59] Speaker D: I think he's going to seek out and his mirror because I'm assuming she's still on the ship and he seems like. I think the conversation with Cass has certainly put the wind up in a bit. [02:27:17] Speaker A: In which case, where. Where are you when you find out? She is not not on the ship. [02:27:31] Speaker C: Oh my God. [02:27:35] Speaker D: I think I've gone looking and I've ended up back on like, you know, the bow of the ship after having searched everywhere has. Does someone tell me or do I just figure it out for myself? [02:27:53] Speaker A: Well, I imagine that you wouldn't have found her from your looks, from your searching. So I guess who. Who are you interrogating? For want of a better word, who's confirmed it to you? [02:28:08] Speaker D: Is it a little friend with the rat? [02:28:13] Speaker A: Melasina? [02:28:14] Speaker D: Okay, yeah, let's. [02:28:15] Speaker B: That's. [02:28:16] Speaker D: That's because I like them. [02:28:17] Speaker A: They're cool. So you've realized like the piece of like, you've realized that she's not on the ship because Melasina has done an Absolutely awful job of lying about it. Well, yeah. I mean, what. Was she on the ship? I don't know if she was, actually. She says as she's sort of like. And you see her tell. Seems to be the. The ferocity with which she strokes this panicking rat that she's got in her hand seems to increase to the point where she's almost smacking it on the head in strokes. [02:29:03] Speaker D: Kid, stop lying to me. Is she here or is she not here? [02:29:10] Speaker A: The. The majority. [02:29:12] Speaker D: She's avoiding me. That's fine. [02:29:14] Speaker A: But if she's not here, the majority girl goes like. Like. Blushes furiously. No, no, she's. She's not on the ship. Boss on Grinner doesn't really tell us a lot of stuff, but. But after we dropped you off, we. We sailed around to one of our other ports and she rode onto the shore. [02:29:49] Speaker D: She went on to one of the other parts of the island. [02:29:52] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:29:55] Speaker D: Do you mind telling me where. [02:29:59] Speaker A: She. She describes a cove. So where you landed, basically west. If you head west along the coast. So fundamentally, the. The Intrepid that you're on dropped you off and then like hugs the coast, seemingly dropped off Ella's mirror. Like, she rode off and then the boat came back to fetch you lot. He doesn't tell us nothing, really. That's. I guess that's. That's privilege between captains, isn't it? [02:30:35] Speaker D: Yeah, I suppose so. Bit of relief, actually. Anyway, okay. This is weird, but okay. Thank you for being honest with me. [02:30:48] Speaker A: Eventually, Mela, like, blushes again and goes, like. She starts hugging this rat like a security blanket. And you can just see this rat's like, four legs. Ah, Just out in a star shape. Just as it's trying to extricate itself from her grip. [02:31:11] Speaker B: The. [02:31:13] Speaker A: Before long, the five of you hear the cries from a crow's nest overhead and the Intrepid begins, like, raising its sails to slow itself down as it navigates into the docks on the north eastern edge of Dorlishal. As it pulls into Dockside, and before you know it, like, the sun is beginning to set over the horizon. You can already hear, like, a fair amount of chatter from people who are like, happy that everything seems to be getting better on the island, like on the mainland. But between the five of you, where is it your. Where's your first port of call? As you. As you emerge out onto the docks, like, are you going to a place? Are you speaking to a person? And just to remind you so you know, you've got Mayor Coraline at the Mayor's Office, you've got Captain Faniel Hastings over at Hastings Hall. Montague at the Harbor Master's offices. Matteo at the wimbled Peregrine if you wanted to speak to him. Shrine tender Shayla. Elismir is not in the picture. Um, Boss on Grinner. He's busy sorting out the ship. Yeah. Is there anyone you're heading to to report news? [02:32:49] Speaker B: Well, I mean, Do we want to wrap things up with boss on Gritter? I mean, I feel like we should probably talk to him. [02:33:10] Speaker D: Or is he busy? [02:33:12] Speaker A: He's busy. Sort of like on sorting out ship stuff. He'll be free in the evening. But for now, like, while times are somewhat of the essence because, you know, by the sounds of it, your plan will be to head to Portal Plaza eventually to head back to Avermore. Like to Portal back to Avermore. But yeah. Is there anyone in Dorlishal that you want to give us like a situation update to? [02:33:34] Speaker B: I mean, Happy talks to Harbor Master, rubbing his face. [02:33:42] Speaker C: We should probably talk to the mayor as well and just let them know like the sitch. [02:33:49] Speaker A: Sure. Okay. In which case, tell you what, we'll. Two birds, one stone. As the five of you make your way down the Noble's Knot from the north, the north eastern corner of. Of Dorlishal down towards the mayor's office, which is relatively near the Portal Plaza. As you, as you approach, you notice that the mayor is actually stood outside her office handily talking to Montague, who seems to be giving her an update about the change of kind of weather situations around the island. And she looks up to see the five of you approaching and you have to sort. You're sort of like picking your way through the evening crowds as like the tourists are getting ready to head to sort of like restaurants or gambling dens or like drinking establishments, you know, just to enjoy the pleasures of Dorlishal whilst you're watching the workers either coming home from a day of work or leaving to start an evening of work. And yeah, the. This Lorava woman waves a hand to you as you approach and speak of the dragons and they shall appear. She Sundays as the five of you approach, Montague tells me here that you. That there is some positive news and perhaps everything went well on the island. [02:35:32] Speaker B: Yeah, well, we got over there fine. Not from any of his help. Went through the storm, no problem. Went over there, stop the storm. So, you know, thanks. You can now, you know, get your boats out again. [02:35:51] Speaker A: Montague like shuffles his feet slightly and well, yes, I thank you for, for all of your work. Whilst I not overly thrilled that you took the risk of sailing out into the storm in the condition it was in. We are, we, we. He says, kind of waving his hand between him and the Mayor. You are very pleased that you've managed to restore Dorlachal to a sense of normality. Thank you. Thank you very much, Mayor, he says, and sort of like retreats behind her. Do you know what it, what was, what was causing the storm? [02:36:42] Speaker B: Look at the other guys. [02:36:43] Speaker C: Yeah, I'll lean round. And there's, there's something wrong with the world spirits and come again there, you know of the, the world spirits on the island? [02:37:01] Speaker A: Yes. [02:37:04] Speaker C: There'S something terribly wrong with them. We think some sort of crystalline infection. I know it sounds ridiculous, but we saw it. [02:37:18] Speaker A: This is not good news. She says it. [02:37:29] Speaker C: May be worth making the town ready for evacuation in the event that things do go downhill. We don't know what the situation is. We don't know if or when it'll turn. [02:37:49] Speaker A: The Mayor, you, you notice this like at first the Mayor's face is one of shock and some, you know, seemingly disbelief. And then there's something that seemingly switches inside her and her face becomes one of like an ironclad almost grim resolve. And she, she nods and she turns to Montague. Speak with, speak with the Captain. We may need to make some emergency preparations. We. We might need to ferry everyone back through the portal to Avonmoore until this, this situation is resolved. I make sure that everyone's ready. I'm sure it won't come to that, but as our good friend here, Guardi, says it, it would be good to be prepared whilst she, she kind of excuses herself and starts kind of giving more instructions to, to Montague, you and Cooper. You notice that like peering out from around one of the street corners, just like curiously watching you is this little green face partly disguised under this like bob cut ginger hair. And you see Hopeless AEN like looking at you and like when she catches your eye, she gives you like a little wave. [02:39:34] Speaker D: Very small wave back. [02:39:40] Speaker A: She, she looks, she looks to you. Just for anyone who can't remember who Hopeless Aileen is, there she is. So as she looks to you, she like, you see her point her at you and then point at Cass and then she like gives you this like little thumbs up and a hopeful smile. Huh? [02:40:02] Speaker E: Huh. [02:40:05] Speaker D: I think Cass, sorry, Cass, Cooper will follow the line of sight. Cass is obviously busy focusing on the actual thing that's happening in the room. Caspi, like kipper will kind of go. [02:40:24] Speaker A: Just you, you See, like, Aileen, like, her have her resolve falter slightly. Like her eyebrows kind of go into one of a sympathetic look. And then she sort of like perks herself back up. And then you see her put a little heart symbol at you and like, giddily smile at you. And then as she's doing that, like, if you're kind of distracted as she does that, you hear this loud bellowing horn seemingly coming from the waters, like the. The Dorlishal dockside. And Mayor Coraline's head form flicks up at the sound of this horn. And perhaps for none of you might know what this horns for, apart from perhaps you, Abe. And you all watch as Coraline's face, like her, the color drains from her face. And she looks to Montague. And you hear a second time bellow from the dockside. And as you look around, you see that there are guards kind of emerging from alleyways and like, buildings onto the street. And they're looking around left and right, looking to one another, wondering what's happening. And you hear the, like the. The shrinking of armor as Captain Nathaniel comes running out from the plaza behind the mayor's office, like, desperately sort of like trying to buckle his. One of his shoulder plate pads on. And Coraline looks to him. What is it? What is it? She shouts. And Faniel looks around to the five of you, to Coraline. And I don't know. And as the horn bellows a third time, you start to hear a bit of a clamor and a commotion coming from the streets to the north. And you watch as a Dorlishol guard runs barrels round the corner onto the street, heading towards you at this junction on Noble's Knot, shouting a ship. A black ship. [02:42:53] Speaker B: Ship. [02:42:53] Speaker A: It's on approach. And you hear the horn bellow a fourth time. And you acknowledge that the horn is sounded in the event of an attack. And as the mayor and the captain and the guard looked one another and then looked to the five of you, the commotion that you can hear over the rooftops only gets louder. And you. You suddenly hear what sounds like an almighty crash. The sound of splintering wood, the sound of screaming people. And as Coraline looks to you and she looks to Montague and it would seem that the what as she is as confused as you are as to what's happening in the event of an attack on Dorla. Sh. We'll call it that. [02:43:56] Speaker B: Popo. [02:43:59] Speaker D: The Wild Spirit Police. They've come. Gosh. [02:44:08] Speaker A: Elsewhere in elsewhere, The sounds of the sea whipping past him feel reverberate through the helmet of the black armored figure. A shock of blood red hair creeping out of the bottom of the helm. And as he stands on a commanding position on the deck of his black vet of his black armored vessel. He clutches the axe in his hand and it glows a sickly green under his grip as he turns to his two companions. One stood stoically leaning on her shield, the second floating gently alongside him. He bellows to his crew, brace for impact, and the prowl of his black ship barrels into the docks of Dorlash hall and begins tearing a hole through the wooden deck until it finally collides with the stone, the stonework of the waters. And as the as the gangplanks fall down and the assault ramp at the front of the ship falls open, there is a jubilant cry as the marauders begin pouring into the streets. And hefting the axe over his shoulder, the armored figure begins marching on Dorlishan. Congratulations everyone on completing episode six. You did it. You made it to the act one finale, Fish. [02:46:18] Speaker B: We get rid of one problem and another one arrives. [02:46:22] Speaker D: Good thing that we went back home for the pirate attack. [02:46:26] Speaker C: Yes. Excellent. [02:46:28] Speaker D: Really good timing. We didn't decide to stay on the island. [02:46:31] Speaker C: No. Having a rest before this happened would have been terrible. [02:46:35] Speaker E: We just watch it happen from a distance. [02:46:39] Speaker C: Yeah, got some marshmallows going. We're like, that seems bad. [02:46:43] Speaker D: Oh, well, speaking of rest, we could potentially have rest on the ship. Short rest on the ship. [02:46:50] Speaker A: I, I, we'll figure it out. We'll. We'll see how generous I'm feeling. But yes, maybe we level up on the ship. [02:46:58] Speaker D: No. [02:46:59] Speaker A: So thank you all for watching. Thank you, you four for playing. We will have Nate back with us next week for the Act 1 free finale, which is shaping up to be a bit of a slobber knocker. So, yes, we'll see how that pans out. And maybe we'll finally get to find out who this mysterious armored figure is. Who I've got a picture of somewhere that I'll, I'll click through and try and find. Is that, Is that him? Yeah, there he is. There he is. We'll just pop him in the chat just so you can all look at him. Yes. So perhaps we'll figure out who this trap is, who we saw.
