[00:00:01] Speaker A: Hello, world. Hello, Internet. Hi. My name is DM Dan. We are the explorers of Elsewhere. This is Explorers of Elsewhere live, the Titan Isles. Hi. Welcome. I am joined tonight on this balmy tropical evening all across the British Isles by. Is that Monty? [00:00:28] Speaker B: Yeah, Monty. [00:00:30] Speaker A: And Livy. Theo down there. Hello. Hello. And Nate. Hello there. [00:00:39] Speaker C: Hello. [00:00:40] Speaker A: And Georgia over there. [00:00:42] Speaker D: Hello. [00:00:43] Speaker A: And Tim, all the way down there. [00:00:45] Speaker E: Ahoy, me hearties. [00:00:47] Speaker A: Ahoy. Hello. Hi. Welcome. Yes, we are gathered here tonight to play some dagger heart straight out of the. The brain holes of those beautiful boffins over at Darrington Press. We are on episode 10 of our campaign, the third of the Elsewhere campaigns. And tonight, I am expecting lots of things to go wrong because we have officially made the jump over to the brand new Foundry Born system. No more are we going to suffer my jank. My. My Foundry gaffer taped together jank. No, we've got a. A brand new. I mean, how. How old is. It's like less than 24 hours old. [00:01:41] Speaker B: Yeah, I was gonna say it is brand spanking new. [00:01:44] Speaker E: It's a baby. [00:01:46] Speaker A: Brand new as it comes. That said, everything that I'm seeing is great. It's just. There's a very big question as to whether this. All of this carries on working throughout the night. But we'll get through it. We'll have a good time. Well, you'll have a good time. I'm. I'm probably gonna be screaming internally. [00:02:09] Speaker D: For both you and. [00:02:12] Speaker A: Yes. Oh. And believe me, there will be stress. No, you know, we're only got two slots left. We will be good. Okay, so we just. Before we crack on, if you want to help alleviate my emotional turmoil that I may well be experiencing on the space of the night, if you haven't already, you should like the video. You should subscribe on YouTube. You should follow on Twitch, uh, and then follow lock into our Discord. Discrimin the descriptions so you can bestow comforting words upon me within the. The halls of our discord, which is free to join. And if you really want to apply that topical balm to my. To soothe my mind and maybe consider becoming a member on YouTube or a patron on Patreon, and then will have some extra content for you, perhaps some sultry application of topical bombs. [00:03:19] Speaker F: Okay. [00:03:22] Speaker A: So let's crack straight in because we left it on a little bit of a cliffhanger last time. I reckon we'll smash straight into the title sequence and then pick up where we left off. Sound good? [00:03:36] Speaker B: Sounds good. [00:03:37] Speaker D: Sounds good. [00:03:38] Speaker A: Let's go. [00:03:53] Speaker C: Hello. [00:03:54] Speaker F: I'm Nate, and I'll Be playing Griffin, a Sangrevar bard. [00:04:00] Speaker B: Hi, I'm Livy and I'm playing Abe, the Guardian Keeper. [00:04:06] Speaker C: Hello, my name is Theo and I'll be playing Cooper, dragon scent. [00:04:10] Speaker F: Rogue. [00:04:12] Speaker D: Hi, my name is Georgia and I'll be playing Cassandra, an ace of our sorcerer. [00:04:18] Speaker E: Hi, I'm Tim and I'm playing Gardi Majord. [00:04:24] Speaker A: And my name is DM Dan, the games master. In this adventure, Some roads must be traveled not because they are easy, but because they are necessary. To stand at the threshold of a task that seems impossible is to confront the quiet question within. If I know this is right, can I walk away? The mind will tally the risk, the body will feel the weight, and doubt will whisper that the effort is wasted. Yet somewhere beneath all of that, the shadow of failure is lit by the light of those who of who we are and what we stand for. With Riceville now liberated from the tyranny of Mount Gulva, one keeper stands in a village he thought lost to him for the rest of his days. But graver threats lie ahead. The fury of the Titans, enhanced by the magical malady that afflicts them, cannot be quenched. The impossible reshapes us. It tests not only our resolve, but our humility, reminding us that we cannot and should not face it alone. And so our heroes begin. Not because of the odds in their being in their favor, but because they cannot walk away. And so we find the five of you in a damp cave. The sound that the sounds of drips echoing off the the dewy walls, the silence broken by the ragged breathing of the combat that has just occurred here, if we can call it that at. [00:07:12] Speaker D: All. [00:07:15] Speaker A: On a raised island of sorts in the center of this cave, surrounded by a ring of fetid rainwater, stands Abe and Cassandra. Behind them, two prone keepers, defenders of Riceville, Nar having, who have very recently thrown themselves to the ground and towards the entrance of the cave, a sangre bard, a dragon scent rogue, and a druid in the form of a small aquatic crab, octopus like creature. And Abe and Cassandre, you stand over the the freshly decapitated body of the crone Malgova. But your attentions are not directed towards the body. They are instead directed towards the plinth in the center of this mounds that stands just behind you, Cassandra. And upon this plinth is a flawless white marble orb with veins of light jade that run through it. But the jade is lost under the sudden and pervasive amethyst light that now coats this cat. [00:09:15] Speaker C: And. [00:09:18] Speaker A: Joining the ragged sounds of everyone's breathing. You hear the words echo out. Purple was always my color. What do you. Well, those of you towards the entrance, you've just seen a very. A very quick flurry of activity happen in very short order. You've seen. So Griffin, you've held a fireball towards the sort of like Mo Gulver and her guards guarding. You've just transformed into this beast. Um, Cooper, you're sort of like potent, I assume, kind of wide eyed because the plan of going in quiet has just fully gone out the window as Abe and Cassandra have disappeared in a crack of lightning and rematerialized in the center of the cave to deliver a single decisive strike. What are the. What. What are you doing? Cooper? Now that this cave is suddenly like, everything in your vision is turned. Has been filtered purple and you can hear this voice kind of emanating in your head. [00:10:49] Speaker C: I think hopefully I'm not lagging too much. Hopefully Cooper will look around. Are you. Are you guys hearing that? It's everything. Is everything okay? [00:11:04] Speaker A: Oh, dear. Of course. Thank you. [00:11:06] Speaker C: Well, good. [00:11:09] Speaker F: Hello? Who's that? [00:11:14] Speaker C: Hello. [00:11:18] Speaker A: You can call me the lady in purple. [00:11:28] Speaker F: Dan would from sort of me traveling around elsewhere. Would I have heard about the lady in purple? Would Griffin have heard about the lady in purple? [00:11:43] Speaker A: I'm going to ask for a knowledge check and it will be a full blown one with hope and fear. If only for us to test the Foundry born system. Excitement has also gotten too much. [00:12:11] Speaker B: Oh my. [00:12:16] Speaker F: Knowledge roll. A full hope and fear. [00:12:24] Speaker A: And as an aside, just while Nate's having Ramagean for that, everyone in chat. Hello. Welcome. Hi. Let me know if volumes need to go up or down, if music is too loud or too soft, so on and so forth, and I'll tweak as we go. [00:12:38] Speaker F: Could I add. Could I add an experience onto that? Could I. Could I add a. What's your story, friend? [00:12:45] Speaker A: Well, to that. [00:12:48] Speaker B: So then if you could do it in Foundry. Yes. [00:12:51] Speaker F: If I can do it in Foundry. Yes. It looks like I can say yes. I've spent a little hope to see if this will happen. Right. [00:13:02] Speaker A: First roll. [00:13:03] Speaker E: Let's go. [00:13:03] Speaker F: Let's hope Foundry doesn't crash. It's a 22 with fear. [00:13:10] Speaker B: Okay, let's roll. [00:13:15] Speaker A: You. You have heard rumors, whispers perhaps from the mouths of the Elysians, who kind of re who emerged onto the streets of Avermore approximately a year ago. And you've heard these kind of whisper tales of someone known as the lady in purple. But with a fear. And I will take a fear. All I think is to Tick me up. Oh, hang on. Wait. That doesn't look right at all. Is that better? That's better. Yes. With On a Fear. Tell me what false story you've heard about her but that you know you believe is true. [00:14:24] Speaker F: The full story that I heard is that she's actually dead. [00:14:29] Speaker A: Okay. In which case. Yeah. You have a bit of a. Yeah. Moment as this seemingly dead voice rings out in your head. Mind. Is it seemingly directly responding to you? [00:14:49] Speaker F: I think with that, then Griffin's gonna be a little bit too scared to speak. [00:14:58] Speaker A: How about. How about you, Gardi? You're you. You're able to. Like you. You hear this voice in your head just the same as the others. [00:15:07] Speaker E: I think I'm hoping that I've gone unnoticed because this could be anything. I'm. I'm staying ready for a fight. I'm. I'm sitting under being as harmlessly craptopus like as possible. [00:15:23] Speaker A: Sure. In which case, we'll turn to Abe and Cass. Up. Up on the. Sort of like the center of the cave. Yeah. How. How are you two feeling? How are you responding to this voice? [00:15:45] Speaker D: Pretty quickly. Just then we would. We were doing great. We'd mucked an old woman. Team headshot. [00:15:53] Speaker B: We're on a roll, I think. Yeah. I think Abe's just kind of just. He's on a different planet right now. I think, like, he's just dealt with a large source of his trauma, quite literally just kind of decapitated that out of his life. And now there's a voice in his head and it's all gone purple. I think he'll say out loud, go on, show yourself. Don't be hiding in those shadows. [00:16:34] Speaker A: Oh. Oh, my dear. But the shadows are where the excitement happens. I must say, I was very impressed by the shocking display of violence. It's. It was quite impressive to say the least. But when the chips are now the chips are down. It is clear that Mel Galford didn't stand a chance against such ferocious intent. [00:17:20] Speaker D: I think Cass is going to put a hand on. On Abe's arm, sort of quite gently. Just go. We don't have time for this. [00:17:34] Speaker B: What if we. If we release something? Have we done something? Like we. You know, we exploded that one guy. This is with. What have we done this time? I just can't. I can't kill anyone. Right. [00:17:54] Speaker A: Released. No, no, no, no. That would imply that I was contained. No, we are simply conversing like creatures of sophistication. I'm merely wishing to congratulate you on the job well done. You did it? You saved your village. I bequeath it back to you. [00:18:30] Speaker B: I. I don't want it. But I don't. I. [00:18:35] Speaker A: Well, this is the. This is the. The problem with heroics is that people will just give you all sorts of things whether you want it or not. Don't be sure not to become too intoxicated with the feeling. However. I hear that heroes are finding messy ends all over the place. [00:19:06] Speaker B: Is looking at castle not even to be talking to it or not. [00:19:11] Speaker A: Are you like. [00:19:13] Speaker F: Are you like, dead? [00:19:15] Speaker C: Is it. [00:19:15] Speaker F: Are you like a ghost? [00:19:17] Speaker A: Oh. Oh, my dear, no. No. I've never felt more alive. I had a. I had a short little stint of time mostly to myself. But now I'm living the best life a lady in purple can lead. [00:19:41] Speaker D: Well, we're very happy for you. [00:19:44] Speaker A: Thank you. [00:19:44] Speaker D: I use something to do what's going on in this island. Otherwise, we've got places to be. [00:19:52] Speaker A: I can assure you that my intentions laid only with the people. The fair people of Rice Vilna and their willingness to not defy someone as insistent as Malgova. But it's fortunate that my plans with. With young Mel Galva have come to an end. Because clearly she is no use to me in the state that she's now in anymore. So it would seem that our business with one another has come to an. [00:20:41] Speaker B: Right. [00:20:43] Speaker A: Perhaps one day we may pass one another in a street glance and catch eyes from different sides of a tavern. Maybe I will hear songs sung about you. But until that day, I'll be seeing you. [00:21:12] Speaker B: Right. [00:21:12] Speaker C: Bye. [00:21:17] Speaker A: And with that. Oh, I've lost my buttons. With that, the. The. The sounds of the. The. The odd echo sounds around you begin to kind of distort the back to normality. And the cave returns to its normal colors as the purple fades away. [00:21:49] Speaker B: Right. Well, that was weird, wasn't it? So was she in Mo, or is she in the orb? [00:21:59] Speaker A: Cass, as you hear our Abe ask this, your arcane sense has been kind of focused on this marble orb, this white marble orb, and it's been radiating this relatively powerful magic, this arcane magic. But as the purple hue fades and the voice tails off into whispers and echoes, you feel that that presence is also dispersing with it. [00:22:36] Speaker D: So she'll go over and she'll sort of lightly touch the orb. [00:22:42] Speaker B: Don't touch it. [00:22:44] Speaker A: As you place your fingers upon it, the surface of the orb, it's. You know, it's very smooth, but it feels almost like cold to the touch. And if there were a. Like an adjective for it, you Would almost say it feels inert. It feels. [00:23:11] Speaker D: Does it feel like there's nothing in it anymore? [00:23:13] Speaker A: No. You feel. You can't help but get the. Like there is nothing going on with this orbit. But moments ago, it was clearly being used as a conduit of sorts. But now it is lifeless. [00:23:34] Speaker D: I think Cass is going to consider a moment and then she's sort of going to say under her breath, they were going to hate me back home for this. And then she kind of, if she can, can she kind of push it onto the floor so that it smashes. [00:23:50] Speaker A: Where as you push it, as it teeters off the kind of the stone plinth that it's on you, you kind of instinctively kind of like bare your teeth, waiting for the sound of the crack. But it thuds to the ground and cracks the stonework underneath it. This marble is incredibly den. [00:24:14] Speaker D: Cass is going to turn back to Abe. [00:24:21] Speaker B: Can I pick it up and smash it on the floor, please? Dan, with a strength of a mighty. [00:24:27] Speaker D: Man, big one. [00:24:32] Speaker B: Can I throw off of the platform onto the floor? [00:24:38] Speaker A: So bear in mind you're surrounded by water. [00:24:39] Speaker B: If you throw it off, is there no. Is there no little islands? I'm sure you said there were little islands. [00:24:47] Speaker A: Yeah. So effectively the. The water kind of rings around you, but yeah, there is. There are sort of islands around the corner. I mean, if. If you're looking to fundamentally dash it against the floor with some oomph just so we can test it again. If you give me a strength check. Full blown strength check. [00:25:08] Speaker B: Yes, Siri. Wait. Let's wait. Wait, wait, wait. [00:25:29] Speaker A: Did it go 17 with 17 with hope. Okay, so you gain your hope and as you. You launch this thing like a shot. [00:25:42] Speaker B: Put. [00:25:44] Speaker E: And. [00:25:47] Speaker A: It makes a horrendous racket as it slams into a far wall. It kind of bounces down, bump like ricochets off a couple of stalagmites jotting up from the ground. You feel like you've hit as many of the surfaces as you'd aim for as you possibly kind of could on a 17. Well, which of the other three of you is closest to the orb when it comes? The orb, when it comes to a standstill. [00:26:23] Speaker B: G just scattering out the way. [00:26:28] Speaker E: Yeah, I guess if I'm. If I'm underwater, then I'm probably pretty near where it'll be. [00:26:35] Speaker D: Down past him, like. [00:26:36] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, sorry. [00:26:40] Speaker A: In which case, 17 with Hope Guardi is you kind of scuttle up to this orb and you're able to sort of like, inspect it and curiously, like, makes noise as if. It's incredibly heavy. But it doesn't feel heavy. It doesn't feel as heavy as it should. But you notice that there's, like, a small dent in it, but otherwise it is still robustly intact and relatively unblemished. And one of the. The defenders. One of the guards on the platform with you. Able Rick. What are you doing? There's a reason we use this for our weapons. Kind of brand. It chastises you. [00:27:33] Speaker B: Well, it was just like. Did you hear that voice in your head? [00:27:38] Speaker A: Yes. We. We assume it's the voice of the mountain, but. But she never said she was purple before. [00:27:48] Speaker B: Goodness sake. Well, I. No, I. I don't think. There's no voice and no mountain. It's obviously some. Twice some thing manipulating all of you. [00:28:06] Speaker A: Are you suggesting that we've been. We've been had? We've been fooled? [00:28:11] Speaker B: Well, yeah. You remember when I left those years ago and I said, you've all been ad. You've all been fooled, and you're a bunch of idiots. [00:28:22] Speaker A: We didn't believe you. If we didn't believe you. [00:28:24] Speaker B: Well, here I am. [00:28:30] Speaker A: This is. This is troubling. We. We need to speak to the. To the chieftain. [00:28:37] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. She knows. She knows. [00:28:40] Speaker A: And the. The two. The two girls kind of look up to you and. [00:28:44] Speaker B: Oh. [00:28:48] Speaker A: And sort of like they stand up and kind of awkwardly look at Malgor's corpse and they're like. Well, I. And then they kind of feed past you and go to start tending to Malgor's body. [00:29:06] Speaker B: Well, you got. Put it back on again. What are you doing? [00:29:14] Speaker A: So gardy. Griffin Cooper. You're. You're still kind of near the entrance to the cave. Is there anything like. Are you coming into the cave? Are you primarily waiting for Abe and Cass? [00:29:27] Speaker F: Would we be able to see what's happened? [00:29:30] Speaker C: That's my question. [00:29:31] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:29:31] Speaker A: No, no, you get like, the. The platform that they're on isn't. Is only sort of like a few feet above the water level. Right? [00:29:38] Speaker F: So we would have seen the decapitation. [00:29:40] Speaker A: Oh, yes, yes. [00:29:41] Speaker D: From a distance. Like, really far away. [00:29:44] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:29:46] Speaker A: Yes, definitely would. [00:29:48] Speaker E: I'll go man mode to get a better view out of the water. [00:29:52] Speaker A: Okay. Oh, I think I've broken. Hardy just went wee. Oh, no, he's there. It's okay. We're back. We're back. Okay. So, yeah, say. Is it like. Are you. Are you approaching to. To join Abe and Castro? Are you waiting for the two of them to. To begin heading out? [00:30:24] Speaker C: Are you guys good over there? Are you leaving? [00:30:28] Speaker D: Is There an easy way to get off the island or are we just. [00:30:32] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. So it's only. It's only a couple of feet above the surface of the water. So you can just kind of drop down in and you'll have to wade. It's like. It's. It's about knee deep around the edge of the pool and then it. That's edge of the. [00:30:47] Speaker B: My knees. [00:30:48] Speaker A: Cass knees. Yeah. And then it, you know the water gets shallower as you get closer to the exit. Yeah. It's certainly wadable. [00:30:57] Speaker E: Careful of their best. You just jumped out and you've never seen again. [00:31:11] Speaker B: Yeah. And I think sort of Ape's just gonna kind of wipe off his ax. It's still got a bit of malgova goo on it. He just kind of looks down at what he's done and just wait. [00:31:23] Speaker C: Do you feel any better? [00:31:26] Speaker B: Well like I. It's a bit of a. Bit of an anti climax really, wasn't it? I thought it's gonna be. But you know, no love lost. Why not? We're not mad about it. You know. [00:31:39] Speaker E: Even our guards don't really seem to be that bothered. So. [00:31:43] Speaker B: No, I don't think anyone really likes her. I don't really know how it went on for so long but. Yeah. You think maybe. Yeah. We explained what's happened to the village and then we'll see where we go from there. But this purple lace laid. Purple lady, is she purple or. She likes purple. [00:32:07] Speaker F: I, I, I, I don't know very much about her. I've heard people talk about her. They. People were saying that she was dead but they said all sorts of things about her. They so do. Do you not know about the floating city? [00:32:22] Speaker C: Anything about. [00:32:22] Speaker F: No. They're like the one that just. [00:32:24] Speaker A: Just bounce. [00:32:25] Speaker F: Just bounced like in middle of the ocean. [00:32:27] Speaker E: Just poof. Like was it like a massive ship? [00:32:33] Speaker F: No, like. Like actual city. [00:32:36] Speaker A: Like big city. [00:32:37] Speaker F: Just what Bam just appeared out of. [00:32:40] Speaker A: Nowhere about a year ago. For we'll let between the four. The other four of you. We'll let you. Well apart from Abe, the other three of you. If you have visited the town of New Prosper within the last year, then yes, the talk of the town is the. The literal floating city on a floating chunk of rock about a quarter of a mile out to sea just floating above the water. [00:33:12] Speaker F: I mean there was some, there was some like really crazy rumors that came out from there. Like really crazy. They talked about her and, and they talked about like ghosts and spirits and like some of them like claimed they saw like gods like they saw a khan. Like it was crazy stuff, absolutely crazy stuff. And I didn't like being locked away in like a. In the void for like two years. That's gonna make some people go a bit cuckoo bananas. But didn't really believe that she was real. [00:33:51] Speaker B: But apparently she told somebody told you this or you. Yeah, I heard it from a couple of them. [00:33:56] Speaker F: I've heard it from a couple of people from the city. As I said, I didn't really believe it because. [00:34:06] Speaker D: Well, how did she get here if she was there? [00:34:09] Speaker F: I don't know. People spoke all sorts of weird gobbledygook about her. [00:34:13] Speaker E: Like saying that she was. Do you know what she might want with Abe's people? Sounded like she was the one pulling the strings here. [00:34:20] Speaker F: No, like that's as far as I know about it. [00:34:24] Speaker A: Abe, as you as Gardy kind of asks this question, I dread to think what it looks like because in, in beast form druids can speak. So this weird crab. Octopus like thing. [00:34:39] Speaker E: I'm man made now. [00:34:41] Speaker A: Oh, you're man made. [00:34:41] Speaker B: Of course. [00:34:45] Speaker D: He's still up for crab. [00:34:49] Speaker E: Illustration for. [00:34:54] Speaker A: Lovely amazing. Make sure in the discord later. Okay, so in which case, yeah, as Gardy asked this question, Abe, you glance your eye to the two kind of defenders, the, the narice defenders that are sort of like one of them's taken basically taken off like the cloak and has just draped it over one of them's put Malgor's head roughly near where the stump of her neck is and then put the, the. The cloak over her. But yeah, you notice that they've kind of placed on the ground these weapons with, you know, tipped with this white marble. They're wearing those kind of roughly hewn breastplates and bits of armor of this marble. And since you left, the marble is what's new. Like Malgor had always been a bit ranty and Ravi, sure. But the marble is what's new. You also think back to your daughter. She was almost like tracing her fingers across the marble surface. Like she was almost entranced by it. But you can't help but feel that the marble is. [00:36:14] Speaker B: The bad juju. Yeah. [00:36:22] Speaker A: What was Gardi's question again? Sorry, I went on a tangent. [00:36:26] Speaker B: Gardy was saying why. [00:36:30] Speaker A: Oh yeah. [00:36:32] Speaker E: What does she want with what with these. [00:36:34] Speaker B: These people. [00:36:36] Speaker A: Okay, so yes, you, yeah, you. The marble is what's new. And Abe, as you were entering into Riceville Nile, like over that bridge in the South Pole, western corner of the village, you like, you also saw that there are a number of like like small. Well, they're not rowboats. They could fit about three or four, I suppose. Rowboat. Yeah. Three or four keepers in it. But you know, you've noticed that there seems to be more mining equipment. So you can't help but wonder if the keep the keepers have been strip mining have been going to the mountain and mining it. [00:37:25] Speaker B: Yeah. I think Aim is probably mulling all of this over in his head. Like looking at this not really smashed in ball. And I think it's just desperate to get back to his daughter and kind of see what's going on. So yeah, I think I'll relay as he goes. He's like, come on, we gotta go. There's something fishy going on with all of this. You know, went back when I was. I started being here. When I left, you know, all this funny business started and it's just gone downhill even more so than, you know, what made me leave. [00:38:12] Speaker A: Okay. In which case we rejoin the five of you in the kind of the center of Riceville. Na. You can see that outside the. The Great hall, everyone's hope and fear. [00:38:31] Speaker B: Oh yeah. [00:38:33] Speaker A: Flying around the place. What happened? [00:38:35] Speaker B: I don't know. We moved and we all got hope. [00:38:39] Speaker E: Nice. [00:38:40] Speaker A: I love it. Okay, that's odd. We'll figure that out in a sec. Yeah. [00:38:48] Speaker F: As I did just reduce my hope. Is that not messing around with anyone? Let me just have. Does everyone see this? [00:38:55] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:38:56] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:38:57] Speaker F: Okay. That's me just trying to reduce my own hope. It looks like it has effects on everyone. [00:39:05] Speaker A: Oh well, everyone has to copy mine now. Okay, well, we know we'll figure out as. Sorry I'm stopped playing around with it. Just seeing if it's updating. [00:39:22] Speaker B: I don't think it is. Yeah. No, it's not updating. [00:39:25] Speaker A: No. No. So as you arrive at the center of town, like the center of the village outside the Great hall, you see bring you your daughter. Bring you. Well, sorry. The first thing you see are a number of sort of like prone groaning rice vilnar defenders. You can see that their white robes are scorched ever so slightly and sort of like at the center of them near the. The. The front doors are large front doors to the Great Hall. You can see bring your sort of like. Well, in a defensive pose, her warhammer in one hand. Kolaru, her large kind of green beast kind of standing in a low profile, ears down, snarling. And with these sort of like arcing scorch marks around across the ground in front of her. You can see mate like Coraline with her fists clench her metal gauntlets like flickering with this bright blue flame. And it seems like well quite quite some battle has gone on here. But Coraline and Brynia have been victorious. [00:40:59] Speaker B: Good Glad we left them with the easy task. We did the hard one. [00:41:06] Speaker A: So as you like as you as bring your spies you and sort of like waves you over. You see like one of the defenders go to get get up for potentially for round two. And before she has the chance to. Coraline is on top of the the defender and places a boot firmly on the defenders like sternum. And she just slowly shakes her head. [00:41:40] Speaker B: Well I'm looking for a new wife. [00:41:48] Speaker D: All of our wife now. [00:41:54] Speaker A: So bring your looks up to you and father. Your. Your. You're back. How. How did it go? [00:42:06] Speaker B: Well, I'll go was dead. [00:42:10] Speaker C: Oh. [00:42:13] Speaker B: It you know, it was a bloody battle. But needs must. [00:42:22] Speaker E: That's technically true. [00:42:24] Speaker D: Your father fought very hard. [00:42:27] Speaker E: That's not technically true. [00:42:34] Speaker A: In which case the like bring your like look looks a bit curious. She's still kind of kind of shocked that you've just so kind of matter of factly being like yep, she's dead now. She did. But as yeah as she kind of looks to the the rest of you. Let me. Let's check on the map just so we can see what we're seeing. Um so yeah is there. What is it that you Are you relaying any particular bits of information to bring you or Coraline, you know, you retire to the the great hall and you can see that a number of the sort of like the villagers of Riceville Nara searched forwards to effectively support Brynia. It's clear that she commands the like the love of the townsfolk. So whatever she you know baby, whatever. [00:43:37] Speaker D: She does do we want to ask her about the lady in purple and whether or not there is a connection to when the world spirits started. [00:43:47] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean I think it's gonna be what what marble do. Why marble do. [00:43:55] Speaker D: Why why marble who marble do. [00:44:00] Speaker A: When marble. [00:44:04] Speaker B: Do. [00:44:09] Speaker A: All. So what is the. What is the first question? Well are we. Are we doing a insert marble do. [00:44:19] Speaker B: Okay. [00:44:22] Speaker A: Okay. So when you yeah you're. You're sat around. You're sat at the large kind of dinner feasting table that's arrayed kind of lengthways in front of bring yours like throne if you will in the set in the in the grand hall and there's like the conversation is quite enclosed between you. Um as the what seems to be the vast majority of the inhabitants of Rice Vilna who have who are fundamentally celebrating the Well I Mean officially it's not a change of leadership, but that's certainly what it seems like they're celebrating. You know, Malgor's puppeteering being perhaps rice field Nile's least best kept secret. And your. The conversation is, you know, intermittently interrupted by people coming up to bring your daughter. Bring you and sort of like congratulating her and kind of wishing her well before kind of going off. And yeah, there's just platters of freshly caught fish, freshly hunted game, um, the local brewer who has come down with. With a keeper sized cask casks of, of of ale and Abe, you can't help but feel your mouth water slightly at the thought of the. Give me a flavor profile what that sets this ale off, that makes it distinct. Which of the, which of the bits of your taste buds does it tickle the most? [00:46:11] Speaker B: I think it's probably quite. Yeah, it's probably quite bitter. Tastes a bit like fir trees and pine cones. [00:46:25] Speaker A: Okay. [00:46:26] Speaker B: But in beer form. Like a very sort of. Yeah, bitter sort of but deliciously bitter. [00:46:34] Speaker A: Okay. [00:46:34] Speaker B: Just like Abe himself, except deliciously bitter. [00:46:39] Speaker D: Deliciously deliciously bitter. [00:46:44] Speaker A: In Neymar. [00:46:45] Speaker B: He's killed her no more. [00:46:50] Speaker A: So he's. [00:46:51] Speaker B: A fruity little sour now anyway. [00:46:57] Speaker A: So bring your. Effectively bring your starts for from what begins filling in what's been happening over the last 18 months over the space of like food and drink. She. She tells you that after Malva successfully exiled you from the village via Brynia and you note, you know, the Brynia looks very almost kind of abashedly sheepish about it. I. I'm sorry Father. I did not. I did not want to, but I did not have a choice. She goes on to tell you that more of the villagers either began to also believe in the emergence of the Voice of the mountain or simply no. No longer thought it worthwhile to push back against it. To carry on supporting Burunan and Pfizer as the primary kind of icons of worship. [00:48:16] Speaker F: As. [00:48:19] Speaker A: Let's put on a little, put on some of this. There we go. Yeah. You know, worship of Burina Pfizer was kind of made illegal and all worship had to be towards the Voice of the Mountain. And some of the villagers found that going against Malgorva tended to like could result in unusual disappearances, hunting trips going, going wrong. And about six months, about a year, a year ago, Malcolfa started sending parties of our. Of our villagers to. To the mountain on the southeastern isle. And we were tasked with mining the. The mountain itself. She said that to. To bring it back here would be to bask in its divinity. And so we began to mine this white marble. She. She instructed us to fashion our weapons and armor and to fortify our buildings, our structures with it. And as you can see, bring your gestures around. The Great hall is one of the last places is. Is one of the only places in the village that has not been touched by the. The emergence of this marble. But the more of it reminds, the more. The more people seems to follow in Malgorva's footsteps. They seem more amenable to her, insistent to her. To her peculiar insistences. But as a material, it made our. It made our hunting weapons keener. It made our. Our defenses stronger. Was a. It was a boon to the village. But. But perhaps we were too blind to see what the cost was. [00:50:40] Speaker B: Qu. [00:50:40] Speaker C: Question? Yes, Hi. Thanks for all this. The food's great. [00:50:47] Speaker B: Question. [00:50:49] Speaker C: Does the marble seem any different now? [00:50:52] Speaker B: More gr. [00:50:53] Speaker C: Is gone. [00:50:57] Speaker A: Bright looks at you attack. Confused, perhaps surprised by the nature of the question. And like the fate. Like, she opens her mouth as if she's about to immediately say, well, of course it doesn't feel different. And then she stops before the words kind of come out of her mouth. And then she kind of glances down to. To the warhammer that's kind of leaning against the arm of her chair of her throne. And it. It's strange. It feels different. Yes. It's as if. It's as if the. There is a craving that is no longer there. [00:51:53] Speaker C: Okay. Cooper's just putting pieces together from lady in purple leaving, and then the marble seeming to be absent. Maybe. So he like, tries to explain that in the way that he understands of like, we heard voice, she disappeared. It was to do with the marble. [00:52:14] Speaker D: But the marble seems less evil somehow. [00:52:18] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:52:19] Speaker A: So you. So you believe that this lady in purple was the. The voice of the mountain? [00:52:29] Speaker B: Did anyone else hear the voice? Or is it just Mellover? [00:52:32] Speaker A: Malgulva fashioned herself as somewhat of a. A prophet or an oracle of this voice. But there were. There were some who. Perhaps there were some who voiced opinions that perhaps Malgova was hearing nothing. But if you yourselves have heard a voice, then maybe. Maybe there was a reason for her madness. [00:53:05] Speaker B: Well, you wouldn't say it was just. You know, I would say that she was completely without fault. I think there's a reason that this lady in purple chose Malover. You know, spread more wickedness in what was already wicked. [00:53:26] Speaker A: It did seem as if Malva was seemingly blessed with a permission to be more Malva. It's almost as if she had been told something and then use that as an excuse to perpetuate all sorts of terrible things. [00:53:51] Speaker D: I have a question. [00:53:53] Speaker A: Yes? [00:53:56] Speaker D: This light that's happened to the wild spirits. Did that happen at the same time as everything here? Or is it disconnected? [00:54:11] Speaker A: Is this. You'll have to remind me. Is this the first time that you've brought up this subject? [00:54:18] Speaker D: I think it is. It's the first time we've been allowed. [00:54:20] Speaker B: To have a conversation with her about it. [00:54:22] Speaker A: Yes. [00:54:23] Speaker E: I think I mentioned it when we were trying to convince her to help us out before you said yes. [00:54:28] Speaker A: Yes. [00:54:29] Speaker C: Then Malgruva turned up and told us to go away. [00:54:31] Speaker A: So. [00:54:32] Speaker D: And we were like well, we're gonna go behead that old woman and then we'll be right back. [00:54:37] Speaker A: Gonna knock her blubby block off. Yeah. Bring you like she. She looks to you, Cass, and she's Genu. Like with a look of genuine concern. And she then glances over back to you. Gi. You. You mentioned that there was this affliction that plagued the the Titans, but I, I. I cannot say that I know exactly what it is you speak of. The. The Titans have been slumbering, dormant. Yes. Until recently, perhaps. Well, I suppose it was until roughly when the storms began. [00:55:25] Speaker E: And where was that related to when you stop worshipping. [00:55:28] Speaker D: And. [00:55:30] Speaker A: We had forsaken the titans for nearly 18 months at that point. And the. Our worship of Burunan and Faiza was usually personal, intimate, if the most public. We would go to the standing stones, embrace the. Embrace the. The teachings of. Well, honor the Titan, the world spirits, along with the spirits of our past. And ever since the Eschaton, ever since we arrived here, the. The Titans have been pleased. Have been content with just listening from wherever they were slumbering. But when that storm came and began ravaging the island, that's when we noticed that the. The Titans had awoken, but we had not seen them. Well, we have not seen them since. It seems that the five of you were the only ones too have seen them. We heard them. Spirits. We heard them. [00:56:57] Speaker C: Can I just check when the storm started? [00:57:00] Speaker B: About. [00:57:03] Speaker A: Three weeks. Two weeks. Three weeks ago. And Cass and Gardi, as you think to like the job posting that you have answered to be. [00:57:16] Speaker D: Yeah, I was gonna say that. [00:57:17] Speaker A: I realize that's roughly when. [00:57:25] Speaker B: What did Mel. Did Mel Gover have anything to say about the them? Wake it up. [00:57:33] Speaker A: She. If anything she. It. It only exasperated her insistence that we. We mine more of the mountain. She. She told us that the marble would protect us. Hello. Blimey. Hello, Captain Cosmo. And found you born creators of Foundry. [00:57:56] Speaker C: Born. [00:57:56] Speaker A: Welcome. Hi. [00:57:57] Speaker B: Hello. [00:58:02] Speaker A: Distracted adhd. What. What was the question? Yeah, she. She insisted that we. We needed more of the marble to protect ourselves. That it. It was proof that the. The world spirits were. Were crazed and. And sought nothing but our destruction. She. [00:58:18] Speaker D: She. [00:58:19] Speaker A: She spun the story to implore that what she said was right. [00:58:29] Speaker B: Piece of work. Piece of work. Right. [00:58:33] Speaker A: Whatever this lady in purple spoke of, whatever her plans were, it is. It sounds like it is been something that has been happening in secret for a year and a half at least, ever since you were. Well, perhaps even since maybe this lady in purple is the reason that you were actually banished. Father. [00:59:00] Speaker B: Well, I just didn't like what me was saying and doing to the place, you know, and if I spoke up against it, Wes. [00:59:21] Speaker A: Bryna turns back to you. Cass and Gardi. But this. This. In fact, this affliction that you speak of for the world spirits, this is troubling indeed. I. What the. The sounds of their screams last the. The night just gone. They sound in pain. They sound like a. A beast with poison coursing through its veins, thrashing out in a futile attempt to save themselves. [01:00:03] Speaker D: Yes. [01:00:04] Speaker A: This is not the world spirits that we know. [01:00:07] Speaker D: No. And it's not the world spirits we need. We need to go to them. We need to fix whatever this is. And we need to stop someone from eating them, apparently. [01:00:23] Speaker A: I'm sorry, what? [01:00:26] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [01:00:26] Speaker C: I don't know if we. We caught you up on that. [01:00:28] Speaker D: This looks her dead in the eye. You heard me. [01:00:36] Speaker A: When you say eat them. [01:00:43] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:00:48] Speaker C: Just imagining Abe and Cooper miming. [01:00:54] Speaker A: Who. Who could possibly have such a. A fantastical idea that they could eat a world spirit? I think he's already done it. [01:01:15] Speaker B: Yeah. You remember exo? [01:01:24] Speaker A: Well, yes. Dottie's boy, she. He left years ago, before the war. [01:01:32] Speaker B: Well, we bumped into him, see, over at Dawlish, and he's. He's got a bit weird and. Long story short, I tried to kill him. He tried to kill us first. And when I did that, he kind of exploded, and he's taken out off of Dolashar with him, and then he kind of came back together again and he. He made it. He's. And then he was like, are you. I'm gonna become a God, so I'm gonna go find the gods and eat them. You know, I'm paraphrasing slightly, but that's kind of the general. Just slightly. [01:02:22] Speaker C: Yeah. I'm sure that me and your dad definitely copped it for about a minute or two there. It was not oh yeah. [01:02:29] Speaker B: And I died. But then I. But then I came back. [01:02:36] Speaker E: Also. The. The portal got destroyed, so all of the trees and everyone. There's no way of getting back to. [01:02:44] Speaker B: Yeah. Anywhere. So if we don't fix it soon, then everyone on $charles are gonna die because they ain't got no. [01:02:53] Speaker D: Yes. [01:02:54] Speaker E: And EXO's gonna turn and eat another God and then turn into a river, I think. [01:03:00] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:03:00] Speaker B: Somebody like that. [01:03:03] Speaker C: Poor Brynia must be the slave. [01:03:11] Speaker D: Washing over her. [01:03:13] Speaker A: Just dumping nine episodes of plot with. [01:03:17] Speaker E: The picture you up. Then I'm imagining it is exactly that. Like a completely impassive. Like. [01:03:28] Speaker B: When they said my dad was a crazy person left the island. Maybe he. [01:03:33] Speaker C: Maybe he was. Maybe. [01:03:34] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:03:35] Speaker E: Maybe. [01:03:37] Speaker A: Hashtag Mova did nothing wrong. Okay. [01:03:45] Speaker B: So. Yeah. Well, yeah. I mean, I. I. A lot's happened in a very short space of time, and I understand that's a lot to take in, but. [01:03:57] Speaker A: So we will very quickly kind of go through all of these plot points into some of these plot points in turn. If you. If. If Exo is on such. Such a. A violent crusade, then perhaps she. Perhaps he. He has come back here knowing that the Titan Isles has. Is home to two world spirits. He's. You know, as much as I. Father, we. We have no idea where. Where we were is now. We don't even know if it is there at all. This. We used to be on top of a mountain, and now we are in the sea. His Exo's drive is clear. He has forged his way across a new world in search of us, knowing he has a prize here. And I fear that in the state that they are in, if these world spirits are afflicted by this corruption that you speak of, they will. He stands a much better chance of overcoming them than if they were healthy. You speak of this power that he wields. He. He. For him to create such a devastating explosion and then repeats himself together. You say he. He mocks you, saying that. Insinuating that Pfizer or Burunam would not be the first world spirits that he has consumed. The chances of our Titans surviving grows slimmer by the moment. [01:05:59] Speaker B: Well, yeah, this. We gotta get there quick. [01:06:04] Speaker A: I do not mean to insult the five of you, but I do not feel that you can stand against a Titan, weakened as they are. But perhaps that is not the true point of why you are here. Perhaps you need to draw the venom from the Titans themselves so they may stand and defend themselves. [01:06:43] Speaker B: Oh, I didn't really think about it like that. I thought we're just gonna Go. Go get is. That's what we can do. Gaudy. Cass. [01:06:55] Speaker E: I. I wouldn't know how to do it from a person, let alone a God. [01:07:02] Speaker B: Oh, kindly. If you get bitten by a snake, you just kind of out the. Out the poison. [01:07:07] Speaker E: That's pretty. That's actually pretty dangerous. [01:07:10] Speaker F: Wouldn't recommend it. [01:07:11] Speaker C: I'm not a magic guy. But is there a way to use magic to draw the venom out? [01:07:17] Speaker D: Could we heal it somehow? [01:07:21] Speaker E: Dan, do I have any. Any thoughts on anything that I might know? [01:07:27] Speaker B: Dan, tell me my thoughts. [01:07:29] Speaker E: My thoughts help me with them. Is there any. Any reason that Guardi wouldn't know anything? Would have any inkling that this might be successful? [01:07:38] Speaker D: Would Cass recall the sprite that you were considering several episodes ago when we first made contact? [01:07:48] Speaker A: Yes. [01:07:49] Speaker D: That's the one person we know who maybe possibly healed themselves from crystal. [01:07:56] Speaker B: Would Professor Abe know anything? [01:08:01] Speaker E: Yes. [01:08:03] Speaker A: So, yeah, Cass, as we kind of mused on a couple of sessions ago, you. You are reminded of this. Well, I'll let you decide whether you consider this individual to be a whack pot or not. But she. [01:08:22] Speaker F: She. [01:08:23] Speaker A: You. You heard her basically trying to tell people, oh, I used to have. My hand used to be crystallized, but then I got better and it was quite easy actually. It's just. It's just alchemy, isn't it? It's just potions. It's just. And she was rather kind of blas about it. You didn't hear the whole conversation because there was an explosion in her workshop that kind of then scurried her away like there was a. Got a small goblin girl with this like incredibly long hair, just kind of absolutely sut stained, staggering out of the smoke like coughing bubbles. And yeah, that was kind of the. The last you saw of this. This Terran sprite. But unlike some of the mages of Avonmore and the academics and you know, the academians, this you would cast. Remember her name, do you reckon? That would be a bit of information. [01:09:31] Speaker D: I think Cass would probably have heard what she said. Put it in like a little box marked I will argue about this later. [01:09:38] Speaker A: Sure. [01:09:39] Speaker D: And then gotten on with observing Gaddy. He can talk to a world spirit in. [01:09:45] Speaker A: In which case. Yeah, that was. That was like. You didn't hear much else about this. This Terrence Hear much from Mr. And Spike, I should say. But you do kind of get the feeling that whilst. Whilst there was this certain sort of like bombastic confidence about her, you didn't. She didn't strike you as like a charlatan. It was more of A confidence of. Oh, yeah, that's a problem that I've kind of solved. So it's almost kind of beneath me now, like. Oh, that's old. That's old research. I'm on. I'm on to bigger and better things now. Hello, Monty. Yeah, unlike the mages who say that once crystallization, arcane crystallization begins, there's no remedy this Terence Sprite says, well, there is and I did it. So there's an eye, an argument that it can be done. Whether or not you believe the sprite or not. [01:10:56] Speaker D: I think Cass is going to have to swallow her pride, which takes quite a lot. Is there a way that we can contact Agamore. [01:11:18] Speaker A: Between the five of you? Have any of you got any communication devices? [01:11:25] Speaker C: I mean, technically. Technically, I do have a sending stone that I was given with Giffran, which I don't know if we're able to rework as a potential beacon, as a one off. If someone here has the magical know how to do that. I know it's like a receiver for. [01:11:44] Speaker A: Messages, so Kick friend did specify for you. This is for him, but it was. It was for incoming calls, however. [01:11:54] Speaker C: Okay. [01:11:55] Speaker A: You do wonder if with some magical jiggery, pokery would be useful. [01:12:02] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. I relay. I. I show it like I don't really know how these work because I. You know, but if anyone else knows how to jimmy this up to do something we need it to do, then. [01:12:19] Speaker E: Any thoughts, Caroline? [01:12:23] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, we've got NPCs in the room, haven't we? [01:12:28] Speaker D: Who previously was in charge of the portal that we broke. [01:12:32] Speaker B: There's a wizard lady right here. [01:12:36] Speaker C: Well, she's a battle mage lady, but she'll have magical powers that we do not have, hopefully. [01:12:41] Speaker A: Coraline. Yeah, I mean, realistically, Coraline is a punchy mage rather than a thinking mage. I mean, if it weren't for Ms. XO then. And you can like. Coraline is clearly smarting at the. The thought of the. The loss of her town. Perhaps there is something in Dorlishal, but I. I can only imagine that we'll be dugging through the rubble of that. Of that attack for weeks, if not months. She. She turns to Griffin and Cassandra. You two are averse in the arts and I mean you. You certainly both look intelligent. She says. And she sort of slightly pulls her face as she looks at you, Griffin. But perhaps if. If you have this sending stone, then it might be able to be jerry rigged in such a way that it would. You could fundamentally reverse its polarity, much like the the runes on the portal, they determines both, you know, the. The direction of travel. Perhaps there you can do. You can alter the flow of the athematics with inside it to. To send a call. [01:14:17] Speaker D: Griffin, you told me earlier that you have arcane magic. [01:14:23] Speaker F: Yeah. [01:14:27] Speaker D: Can you do something with this? [01:14:30] Speaker F: I think Griffin's feeling a little bit sort of sheepish after the display of. Again, another spell not working out. [01:14:39] Speaker B: We're not asking you to set fire to it. You like speaking. We want to speak to someone. You know, we're using your. Your skills here. [01:14:52] Speaker F: Oh, feeling such praise from Abe. [01:14:56] Speaker B: You get three hope. I get three hope. [01:15:04] Speaker F: Lovely. [01:15:04] Speaker A: Jubly. This is. This is an opportunity to click on Soldiers Bond and we can see what happens. What does it. What does it do when we click it? [01:15:16] Speaker B: I've already maxed out my hope. I don't even. [01:15:20] Speaker F: Thank you. [01:15:24] Speaker A: See what does happen when we click on. Okay, we're gonna click. We're gonna click. Soldiers Bond. Interesting. That's a healing roll. Is that normal? Is that what we want? Three hope. Okay. That's why. Yeah, I suppose that works. [01:15:47] Speaker B: Target and then. Yeah, target someone. Yeah. [01:15:50] Speaker A: So let's target Griffin and then we can apply three hope to him. There we go. Griffin goes up to five hope. [01:16:02] Speaker F: Griffin will take the sending stone from Cooper. He'll sort of place it in front of him. He's going to dig into his backpack and he's going to pull out sort of like a tiny notebook that he's gone. He's going to sort of ruffle through it and just sort of look at scribbles that he's made in there. He's then gonna sort of find something, pop it back into his backpack, and then just sort of just hold on to it with both hands and just. Just close his eyes and really think. And I guess if it's a spell casting role, it will be a presence. I'll probably use. I'll probably use knowledge of arcane magic on top of that as well. [01:16:58] Speaker A: Okay. And is Cass. Cass like to like tag team? [01:17:06] Speaker D: Yes. I can try and help with intimidation and knowledge. [01:17:13] Speaker A: Intimidate me. [01:17:16] Speaker B: Just breathed out his neck the entire time. [01:17:20] Speaker D: Join us all the time. [01:17:28] Speaker F: Thank you. I will take. I'll also roll my bardic rally dice as well. [01:17:38] Speaker A: Yes. [01:17:40] Speaker F: Right. If I fudge this, I'm gonna be so angry because I've done so much. [01:17:48] Speaker A: Okay, let's go. [01:17:49] Speaker B: So. [01:17:49] Speaker A: So just to confirm we're tag teaming. We're doing a rally die. [01:17:54] Speaker E: Oh, that's big numbers. [01:17:56] Speaker B: Big numbers. [01:17:56] Speaker A: That's a big number. [01:17:57] Speaker F: Big Numbers. Yeah. So he's, he's gonna, he's gonna hold on. He's gonna hold on to this and. [01:18:07] Speaker A: He'S just gonna sort of whis before you go on. If we're tag teaming Cass, if you roll whatever check you'd like to roll because then. Oh, I didn't pair. [01:18:16] Speaker F: I didn't do it as a tag team. I did it. [01:18:25] Speaker A: Sorry. Go on. [01:18:26] Speaker F: So, yeah, he's, he's gonna hold it in between his hands and he's just gonna sort of close his eyes and try and concentrate. And he's just going to be muttering under his breath and it almost sounds like he's having a conversation with himself. And you'll see, you'll see just sort of underneath his hands, like just this red glow that sort of appears. And then when he thinks he's done, he's just gonna open it and the sending stone will just have sort of like a light sort of red glow to it. And he's gonna pass it to Cass and go. I think that worked. Give it. [01:19:10] Speaker A: Okay, thanks. [01:19:12] Speaker F: You've just gotta think of who you want to send it to. [01:19:19] Speaker D: Annoying, annoying sprite. [01:19:22] Speaker A: Are you thinking who is your intended, like call target, if you will. [01:19:29] Speaker D: He was gonna go directly to the sprite he's named. It was a sprite, wasn't it? Was it sprite? Yeah. Despite his name. She doesn't know. Does it work if you just picture a person in your head? [01:19:41] Speaker A: I think if you picture. Yeah, let's say, let's say it does Griffin's. I mean, on 27, that was a pretty rock and roll. So let's say it does work. Picture, picture head. Are you ready? [01:19:57] Speaker F: Tim? [01:20:01] Speaker B: You're on my one. [01:20:02] Speaker E: I didn't. All right, hang on. [01:20:04] Speaker A: I've got it. [01:20:05] Speaker D: We're not anticipating. [01:20:07] Speaker A: Well, perhaps, perhaps this is for the best. I will. Okay, so the, the call fundamentally connects, you know, the sending stone connects to something. And in a workshop in Avermore, like you can, Cass, you can hear this sort of like bustling sound. And it's clearly the sounds of the capital, but it sounds a little like, it sounds a little bit far away. Like you're inside a building somewhere in Ava Moore. And like what, as you connect, is there anything you immediately say? [01:20:55] Speaker B: Hello. [01:21:01] Speaker A: You hear, you hear a little off from the distance. Galena, what did you do to Tavarian? And from somewhere else in the room, clearly in response to this rather slow voice. What is Galena's response? [01:21:33] Speaker E: Nothing. That should do this. [01:21:36] Speaker A: I, I, I was playing with her voice box. But I don't think I did this. That's not Tavarian's voice. Oh, are we in trouble? [01:21:49] Speaker D: Listen, we don't have. Can you hear me or not? [01:21:55] Speaker E: Who is this? [01:21:59] Speaker D: Who's this? [01:22:02] Speaker E: Only Galena bloody Orpiment. The best alchemist this side of the lamp. [01:22:06] Speaker B: I think we've got. [01:22:07] Speaker E: What do you want? [01:22:09] Speaker A: I'm. I'm here to. [01:22:16] Speaker E: That's technically true. What? [01:22:21] Speaker A: For reference. In a workshop in Avore, there is currently this 8ish foot tall hulking suit of armor that looks a bit like a deep sea diving suit with. [01:22:37] Speaker F: In. [01:22:38] Speaker A: In lieu of a face, there's like a large porthole that normally glows with this shifting light blue kind of fog that emanates an ever so slight glow from within. And currently this suit is kind of wired up. There's a number of pipes emerging from its back plate from its breastplate to various kind of arcane contraptions littered around this workshop. And like peering up at this huge armored figure is a dark gray, brown skinned Terran sprite with a. Are we. Are we still rocking the mohawk? [01:23:25] Speaker E: I mean it's. Yeah, it's made of rock, so it's hard to change. [01:23:27] Speaker A: Sure. Absolutely. So small Terran sprite woman rocking a. A short mohawk stood next to this kind of wide faced goblin girl wearing bright yellow dungarees. There's an. There's a tail, awkwardly sort of like sift shifting backwards and forwards behind her as she kind of peers up and an Atta. The goblin turns to Galina and. Are you sure we're not in trouble? [01:24:02] Speaker E: Nope. [01:24:04] Speaker A: Okay. [01:24:06] Speaker E: There's an even higher chance. So, Tavarian, are you still in there? [01:24:16] Speaker A: Cass, you get the impression that Tavarian is. Whatever you're speaking through. [01:24:25] Speaker D: Look, that doesn't matter right now. What matters is that we have the right person. Listen, a while ago you told me in passing that you had cured yourself of crystallization. Is that true? Were you lying? [01:24:45] Speaker E: Why'd I lie? My lives are much more fun than that. [01:24:52] Speaker D: So you did it? [01:24:54] Speaker E: Of course I did. [01:24:56] Speaker D: How. [01:24:56] Speaker E: Have you not seen my papers? [01:24:58] Speaker D: No. [01:24:59] Speaker E: Good. Keep them in a vault. Right. Why are you interrupting? [01:25:16] Speaker A: Sorry, I was. I was turning on the music. What. What did I miss? [01:25:21] Speaker C: Can I ask. Can we also hear this conversation? [01:25:24] Speaker B: Are we on. Are we on a conference call? [01:25:27] Speaker A: I reckon we're going. We're. Full blown. Conference call. Yeah. [01:25:29] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:25:30] Speaker C: Cooper is like trying not to sticker because this is very, very. This is very funny to him. [01:25:39] Speaker B: He's like an old person. He's like picking it up Hello? Hello? [01:25:46] Speaker A: Oh, I think there's lots of people in Tari and Galena. Oh, I think. [01:25:52] Speaker E: Oh, oh, this is going to take me all week to work out. [01:25:56] Speaker C: Do you want me. [01:25:57] Speaker A: Griffin's gonna take it. Go. [01:25:58] Speaker F: Hello? Hello? [01:26:01] Speaker A: Another voice. G. What is it? [01:26:06] Speaker F: So, so my name's Griffin. We got to make this. I don't know how long this sending stone's gonna last for. We're we on and we're on the island. We're on. We're near Dolashal. Like the big island. Do you know about it? [01:26:22] Speaker A: Yeah, that's the, that's the beachy place that. That's been connected to the portals a little. It's a bit too sunny for me. Really. [01:26:33] Speaker E: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. [01:26:36] Speaker F: Well, there's, there's. There's two world spirits on here and they, They've. They've got big crystals coming out of them. They've. We think that they've been infected with whatever you had and we need your help. [01:26:48] Speaker E: Wild spirits, you say? [01:26:49] Speaker F: Yeah. [01:26:52] Speaker A: Really big ones. Spirits. [01:26:55] Speaker E: Right, hold on. I'm putting you on hold. [01:26:57] Speaker A: No, no, no, wait. [01:26:58] Speaker E: No, it's like probably about five minutes where you can hear like awkward shuffling. [01:27:06] Speaker A: Around in the background. [01:27:09] Speaker E: He's like, right. Are you still in, my friend? [01:27:12] Speaker A: Yes, yes, we're still here. [01:27:17] Speaker E: Got my notes. What. What are the symptoms? [01:27:24] Speaker F: Big and angry. [01:27:27] Speaker D: They've got growths on them. They look like crystals. [01:27:30] Speaker F: Like red crystals. Big red crystals. [01:27:33] Speaker E: Red. Okay. [01:27:37] Speaker A: I'm going to suggest. I mean this is Galena, right? Guardi or Tim. Really? [01:27:48] Speaker E: Indeed. [01:27:49] Speaker A: Go ahead, make me a knowledge roll on guardi. But add plus 5 because Galen is clearly at least plus 3 knowledge. And she would a hundred percent have this as an experience if she were a dagger heart character. [01:28:11] Speaker E: Oh, for sure. [01:28:12] Speaker A: And I will then also give you an advantage on the role because you can hear this slow talking goblin, Atta, you understand her name to be he. She's sort of like shuffling around and. Oh, I've. I've got some more notes here. And then there's like a crash and a bang off in the corner. Oh, sorry. Come on. [01:28:38] Speaker E: Sanguine strain. [01:28:41] Speaker A: So, yes, a pl. Basically a situational bonus of plus 5 plus the D6 advantage. [01:28:48] Speaker E: Got an 18 with her. [01:28:51] Speaker A: 18 with Hope. So that's, that's all in tone. Okay, So I'll, I'll ask this. This is a callback to campaign one. Tim, do you have an idea as to how Galena reversed her crystallization? Because obviously we kind of glossed over it at the time. [01:29:21] Speaker E: Yeah. So obviously she was. She already has a long research history with the movement of flesh to arcane but not so much vice versa. But she was eventually able to figure out a way to like reverse engineer that process. Let's think. What would be a good way to cure it? [01:29:44] Speaker A: I mean I'm off the top of my head. I'm imagining the best way to purge an infection is to like clean it out for all extents and purposes. So if you perhaps. How. How might gleaner have flushed the arcane from her system if you will. [01:30:01] Speaker E: I mean I'd imagine you've probably gotta. [01:30:03] Speaker A: Like. [01:30:06] Speaker E: Dig out the. Let me think if I could put this into Galenish. Okay. [01:30:15] Speaker A: Gleamies. [01:30:16] Speaker E: Yeah. [01:30:16] Speaker B: These. [01:30:17] Speaker A: Yeah right. [01:30:19] Speaker E: There are going to be these spikes called core crystals. You need to find the core crystals. They are the. They're the source that the rest of the infection will be spreading from. Those need to be physically removed. After that you can some pretty potent magic. [01:30:39] Speaker A: Such as? [01:30:40] Speaker F: How. How potent? [01:30:43] Speaker E: Okay. Do you have any access to Drake flowers? [01:30:53] Speaker A: Griffin's gonna look at Gardi. [01:30:57] Speaker E: Dan, do we have any idea would have I seen anything that is a Drake flower upon the island as Gardi. [01:31:11] Speaker A: Not as Gy I don't feel no. [01:31:16] Speaker B: However would I know? [01:31:20] Speaker A: Would Abe know? I'm gonna say yes. Abe, you do know that Drake flowers grow on the on the island sometimes known as Dragon's tears. God's tears. But yeah. They tend to grow in sites of like let's. Let's say more abundant magic Usually for example around the sites that the world spirits the Titans slumbering. [01:31:59] Speaker B: Think Abe just takes the rock and speaks really loudly into it thinks that's what he has to do. I seen them. Yeah we got those up on the mountain. You know. I. I. You know. You know Dragon's tears. [01:32:13] Speaker E: Right. Right. Yeah, that should do. That should do. I'm going to send through. I have your position. I'm going to send through a list of what you'll need. You should be able to do it some basic tools. [01:32:28] Speaker B: We've got a fax machine. [01:32:32] Speaker C: That comes through the sentence. [01:32:34] Speaker E: No, I'm just going to write it down get at it to read it off. But it's going to take ages. [01:32:41] Speaker A: Right. [01:32:42] Speaker E: So dig out the crystals. Apply the ointment. Try not to die in the results. It gets a little bit hot. And. [01:32:58] Speaker F: How do we know if one of the Titans are actually made of fire? [01:33:04] Speaker E: Now that's fascinating, isn't it? How do you know? Let me know what you find out. [01:33:12] Speaker C: So dig. Apply. Don't Die. That sounds like a really good progress. [01:33:17] Speaker E: Well, I mean, anything at all. If you die, it'll still probably work. [01:33:22] Speaker C: Sure. [01:33:23] Speaker E: Okay, so that's not really germane to the process. [01:33:25] Speaker A: Yeah, for sure. [01:33:29] Speaker C: It's going well. [01:33:31] Speaker A: Okay. Okay, so just. Just for us to. Because I've got to make notes on this because I. I imagine this is going to affect future battles. So the. [01:33:44] Speaker F: The. [01:33:44] Speaker B: The. [01:33:45] Speaker A: The plan is we've got to dig out the corruption, we scoop it out, apply like a topical ointment of Drake's ointment. [01:33:53] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:33:54] Speaker A: And then not die. [01:33:56] Speaker B: And then it gets a bit spicy, so you gotta get out of there. [01:33:59] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. Very good. Very good. [01:34:03] Speaker E: You just hear me, like a little. A little bit distant? [01:34:05] Speaker A: Like what. [01:34:07] Speaker E: What do you mean there's no more portal to. To tarnish out? [01:34:12] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, we. We blew it up. [01:34:14] Speaker D: Well, no, we didn't. [01:34:15] Speaker F: We didn't blow it up. Someone else did. [01:34:18] Speaker B: Well, we kind of did. [01:34:20] Speaker E: You better fix it, because I want to come and see what happens. [01:34:27] Speaker A: You. You hear the Atta kind of pipe up. Don't worry about being, you know, stranded or anything. It's. It's really not that bad. [01:34:46] Speaker C: What's your name? [01:34:48] Speaker A: My. My name's Atta. Hi. Hi. [01:34:52] Speaker C: How's it going? [01:34:54] Speaker A: Yeah, going good. [01:34:57] Speaker E: Atta. Don't talk to the weird strangers. [01:35:00] Speaker A: I've already introduced myself. [01:35:01] Speaker F: I'm Griffin. [01:35:02] Speaker C: There we go. [01:35:02] Speaker A: We're not strangers anymore, but talking to strangers is what I'm best at. [01:35:11] Speaker E: Right. Okay, hold on. I'll get you the list. [01:35:15] Speaker F: Quick question while. While we've got you on the. [01:35:18] Speaker C: The line. [01:35:22] Speaker F: Do you two know anything about a lady in purple? [01:35:27] Speaker E: I've heard of her. I've not run into her myself. [01:35:31] Speaker A: Yeah, you. You've heard of her from me, Galena. What? [01:35:38] Speaker E: Oh, that's right. [01:35:40] Speaker B: What? [01:35:41] Speaker A: What? Huh? Wait, what? How. How do you know about her? [01:35:50] Speaker F: She's. She spoke to us in a weird purple haze, and we're not completely sure she's gone now. We don't know where she's gone. Somewhere. We think she was in an orb, but now she's not. She was doing something with this village. We're not completely sure why, but she had a nice voice. [01:36:11] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, that's what she does. Yeah. First time, I guess. Yeah, she's. Well, no, she's not good news. But you're alive, so I guess there's that. Oh, okay. Because you could not be, but you aren't. Not. So I guess that's good. [01:36:47] Speaker F: Okay. [01:36:51] Speaker A: Sort of holds like a concerned thumbs up to everyone. [01:36:55] Speaker C: Not good News. Got it. Okay. [01:37:00] Speaker A: What. Just real quick, just for me to check, what is your. What is the list that's being prepared. [01:37:07] Speaker E: Is just a lengthy sequence of exactly what you need to do and what you need to add to the herbs to distill them down into a potency of this that would kill most people. But hey, maybe for a God, maybe it'll. Maybe. [01:37:27] Speaker B: Maybe it'll work. [01:37:29] Speaker D: Maybe it's just what they need. [01:37:30] Speaker A: Interesting. [01:37:31] Speaker E: Yeah. [01:37:32] Speaker B: In. [01:37:32] Speaker A: In which case, as. As Atta finishes this very insightful in. Look into the purple. The purple lady. Your like, time feels like it's stretching out as you can hear Galena kind of mumbling and muttering to herself, writing out this list. And then you kind of hear Atta somewhat offhandedly go, oh, wait, why is Tavarian's visor going a bit? And suddenly the line cuts and you. [01:38:09] Speaker C: Hear. [01:38:11] Speaker A: Like a scuffling, like a scratching and. A new voice. Emergency. Kick Friend, this is not the time that you were meant to be calling. Kick friend, has something. Has something happened? And for the four. For four of you, it's a voice you've never heard before. But Griffin, you do recognize this voice. Is there's something the matter? Kick Friend, why have you. Why have you got in contact? Griffin drops the stain as it clatters to the ground. This is highly irregular, Kick Friend. Normally you would. Is something the matter? You need to let me know. This will affect things if something has gone wrong. [01:39:34] Speaker F: The rest of you just see Griffin do this and he puts his hands over his mouth and he's. [01:39:51] Speaker A: If there's. There's a silence as you all kind of like shuffle around and it. Then don't. As you all sort of like stone, it dawns on you that you're surrounded by the sounds of, like, cheering and jostling merry making from the other keepers in the great hall. [01:40:14] Speaker D: Is there like a bucket or a cloak or something nearby that we can drop over this stone? [01:40:23] Speaker A: There is a heavy cloak that you spy, Cass, and as you kind of go to grab it, to throw it over the sending stone, but as you're about to, you hear. I know the sound of eavesdroppers. Sounds like. I do not know who you are, but believe me, if you are to meddle in our affairs, the consequences for you will be dire. You do not know for whom you are dallying with. Do not contact us again. And the sending stone goes quiet. [01:41:31] Speaker B: Is it off? [01:41:37] Speaker C: Well, that was fun. [01:41:38] Speaker E: Is it? [01:41:39] Speaker B: Could he. Who was that? [01:41:41] Speaker F: Griffin's not even going close to it. [01:41:42] Speaker A: He's standing well back as a bijoux. Ask who was that? The four of you kind of gathered around this sending stone under a cloak. Do you all look up to see Griffin who was notably backed away, hands covering mouth and a look of shock in his eyes, like his red pupils pinpoints and he has gone ghostly white as the color is drained from his face. And as the four of you peer at Griffin and Griffin, you peer at the small lump under the cloak. Let's go have a quick break. So we are going to go for break. Go and break for a quick 10 minutes. We're going to get some teas, we're going to have some wees and then we'll be back to Finish off episode 10. So thank you, those of you in YouTube for joining. Thank you. Thank you those of you in Twitch. Hello for joining. Yeah, we'll be back in 10 minutes where we will pick up where we left off. See you then. Hello and welcome back everyone to Explorers of Elsewhere Live. Hi, my name is DM Dan. I'm joined by Libby, Theo, Georgia and Tim. Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello and hello to all of you who are watching us. Thank you for joining in. We are kicking back off with Titan Isles, the third campaign in the Elsewhere setting where we find our five heroes in the vill in the keeper village of Riceville Nar, situated pretty centrally on. On the Titan Isles, the large kind of island archipelago that dominates this area of the sea. And the five of you who just had a rather curious phone call of sorts, haven't you? So yeah, I guess we can pick up immediately where we left off. Well, would. Well, we. We could potentially. Yeah, we. We will. We will. We will pick up exactly where we left off with the four with Abe, Cooper, Cassandra and Gardy kind of peering at a griffin who looks like his spirit has left his body. And sort of like between the four of you is a small lump under a heavy cloak which belies the position of the sending stone. That was gifted Cooper by the mysterious man known as Kick Friend. [01:44:57] Speaker B: I think Abel repeats what he previously asked, but in a much sterner. [01:45:02] Speaker D: Who. [01:45:03] Speaker B: Who was that? Griffin? [01:45:09] Speaker F: Cooper, can I talk to you very quickly. And he's just gonna try and scoot Cooper off. [01:45:16] Speaker E: I'm not sure if you can. Who is that? [01:45:23] Speaker B: Just Abe just. Just grabs the back of like this was Griffins to like shirt. No, you got. Well, I. We ain't playing no games. [01:45:40] Speaker C: It's all right. [01:45:41] Speaker A: You can. [01:45:41] Speaker C: You can tell us. [01:45:45] Speaker E: Just. [01:45:45] Speaker F: Just someone we have to. Just someone we have to. Not. Not get involved with. Not. Like if we don't need this sending stone anymore, we can throw it, we can chuck it, we can. [01:46:01] Speaker C: It. Well, it's my sanding stone. [01:46:03] Speaker E: Where did you get it? Cooper. [01:46:04] Speaker C: And it's very useful. I got it from Kick Fern. He's the guy I was supposed to be doing a job for. [01:46:10] Speaker F: What is kick friend asked you to do? [01:46:12] Speaker C: I don't know. Go to the mountain. That's steal something. Potentially. We're still waiting on details. I was on holiday. This was waiting for the job. We should talk to the Kick for. [01:46:23] Speaker F: I don't think you should talk to Kick Fran anymore. [01:46:25] Speaker D: So we've gotten involved in this anyway and now we have another complication on top of the world spirits. So if something is happening and you know about it, Griffin, you're going to tell us. [01:46:38] Speaker F: If, if. If we just don't. If we just don't get involved with Kick Fan anymore, then we won't need to worry about it. He. He doesn't know who we are. He doesn't know we're here. [01:46:47] Speaker C: I mean, he knows who I am. [01:46:50] Speaker E: If we're going to trust you. [01:46:54] Speaker C: To. [01:46:54] Speaker E: Be with us, we need to know what's happening. [01:46:56] Speaker F: I can't. I really can't. Please don't make me up. Please don't make me tell you. Please don't make me tell you. If I do just. We just don't have to talk. We just don't have to talk about him anymore. And he's not going to bother us if he doesn't know we're here. [01:47:16] Speaker A: I will. I will interject and offer a rather curious kind of environmental effect. Based on Griffin's insistence. And I think I'll. I'll off list directly to Nate. In exchange for the group. Like your. Your panic being so intense that it kind of smothers the conversation. In exchange for that, I will take two D4 fear harvested directly from Griffin. Okay. [01:48:13] Speaker C: When you say harvested, does that. [01:48:15] Speaker A: Mean like, he's like the fear tokens that I will add to my kitty are. Are the fear that's emanating from Griffin in this moment. [01:48:26] Speaker E: Okay. [01:48:27] Speaker C: Okay. [01:48:28] Speaker A: So, Nate, would you like me to have 2d4 fear? [01:48:40] Speaker F: I can't tell you. Sorry, guys. I can't. I just can't. Don't make me. [01:48:46] Speaker A: Please. I gain for fear. And Griffin's terror is so strong it cuts the conversation short. And I think realistically, Griffin is likely going to have to vacate the. The scene. [01:49:26] Speaker F: Yeah, Griffin will go and just grab a. Grab a beer. [01:49:34] Speaker A: Really big one. [01:49:36] Speaker F: And Just go stand in a. To stand away from the group. [01:49:44] Speaker A: That leaves the four of you looking at each other in bewilderment at the absolute deconstruction of Griffin that you've just witnessed. [01:50:02] Speaker E: Does anyone else have any weird secrets they'd like to share? [01:50:06] Speaker B: Well, I think most of mine have been acted out now. [01:50:11] Speaker A: Sure. [01:50:12] Speaker C: Look, I mentioned this before. I am waiting to go on a job. Or was. I don't know if it's even the right idea anymore. [01:50:22] Speaker E: Pre. [01:50:22] Speaker C: Even Pre. Sending Stone to go to the mountain to get something. This was something that was pre arranged a while ago. I was waiting on a yes or no. The guy's a bit dodge. But you've met me. I'm also a bit dodge. It wasn't really any different to what I've been doing for the last decade. Okay. [01:50:41] Speaker B: Yeah, so I. Yeah, I hear all that. Yeah. [01:50:45] Speaker C: But yeah. [01:50:45] Speaker B: Did you not think when we're talking about, oh, there's a load of like corruption in the mountain. Oh, the guards, these guys are all talking about the mountain. Oh, there's something really evil happening in the mountain. You know? Do you think at any point in the last couple of days you could have maybe mentioned that you were going to have a job in the mountain? [01:51:08] Speaker C: Guys. Okay, it was a bit. Lots of stuff has been going on. There's been like. I, I. Look, I thought just, you know, I'm. [01:51:20] Speaker B: A straight up guy. You. You know everything about me. I've never hidden nothing. [01:51:34] Speaker A: I could. Abe is this bastion of confidence in a village. In a village he did not tell you about. Led by his daughter he did not tell you about. Overthrown by the rival. He did not tell you about. [01:51:49] Speaker B: I've been nothing but straight with you. And you keeping secrets about that God forsaken mountain. [01:51:59] Speaker C: I. I don't know anything. Apart from job in mountain. I was going to tell you. [01:52:04] Speaker A: It's. [01:52:04] Speaker C: It was something I was going to be asked to do. At the moment it was a. It was a non entity. I was waiting to hear. I promise. I mentioned it to Cass briefly that it was something I might have to do. I'm sorry that I did not tell the entire group. [01:52:19] Speaker E: I'm glad you tell someone who hates you. [01:52:22] Speaker C: Well, yeah, that's fine. [01:52:24] Speaker E: Maybe next time share it. [01:52:27] Speaker A: I'm sorry. [01:52:27] Speaker C: We haven't really had time to do like, you know, show and tell. Exactly. It's not like we sit around having an actual chat. We've been running to and from danger for the last however many days we've been doing this. Okay. I'm sorry. [01:52:44] Speaker B: Right. [01:52:44] Speaker C: Sending Stone was helpful at least. [01:52:47] Speaker B: Is there anything more that you need to tell us? You haven't got some other. [01:52:54] Speaker A: No. [01:52:57] Speaker E: How do you know Kick from? [01:53:00] Speaker C: I was sent. Actually Dan, as far as Cooper is aware, he was sent a message to be like, hey, do you want to do a job for us? It's here, it's. You'll meet. Meet us in Daughtershire. [01:53:12] Speaker A: The chronology of Cooper was you did a job with boss Angrena because you had a relationship with the Pirates. And then as you were due to leave, you then got the message from Kick. Fran, await my arrival. We have a job for you. And then you were loitering around because Kick from was delayed. He first thing he did to you was apologize for being late. And that was the first time you met him was in the bountiful parlor. [01:53:41] Speaker C: I reiterate this to the group like, you know, I thought it was another job. I swear I just thought it was another job. [01:53:50] Speaker E: I. [01:53:51] Speaker C: You know this. Whoever this person is that obviously Griffin is terrified of would like to punch in face. For this particular reason, I don't really want to do the job. I thought maybe it would be an in to find out information. But I was going to let you know when I had more information. I'm really sorry. [01:54:15] Speaker B: I got you. I got you. [01:54:18] Speaker A: No need to shout. [01:54:22] Speaker B: Calm down. Just having a polite conversation here and you coming off my face. [01:54:31] Speaker D: Cooper, like all the way down here, just like. [01:54:35] Speaker C: Staring at your chestbone like. [01:54:40] Speaker E: Right, we're all a little bit tense. We've just witnessed like hundreds of people dying. Gods are going wrong. We just killed an old woman for reasons that I'm not totally clear on. Let's just catch up with Griffin when we can and we'll see how he's getting on. [01:55:02] Speaker B: Oh yeah. I mean we gotta find out because we've already. I. There's so many things that I just don't want another Mel Gover situation. If he's talking to some bad spirits or something. I don't know. Whatever he is and he's being influenced, we need to know. [01:55:26] Speaker C: I mean, I know the guy. I don't feel like that's it. The sky. Something's terrifying him. [01:55:36] Speaker B: Well, scared people do stupid anyway to that. [01:55:45] Speaker E: Any chance, Dan, I can get a. A retrospective instinct to see if I got the impression that Griffin's reaction was because it's someone who is very powerful or because it's someone that he. It's because of his personal relationship that he's. That he's freaking out. [01:56:13] Speaker A: Roll me. Yeah, Romy roll me an instinct check and we'll full. We'll fully lope this one with hope and fear. [01:56:26] Speaker E: Amazing. [01:56:29] Speaker A: And obviously add experiences and whatnot. If, if you feel they. If you can see a way to make them fit. [01:56:36] Speaker E: Don't think I can squeeze any of them in there. Unfortunately. I'm just gonna have to do this one bareback. [01:56:43] Speaker A: Got a raw dog it. [01:56:44] Speaker E: Oh, it's a correct critical. [01:56:47] Speaker A: Oh, a critical. The look, the way that Griffin reacted impresses upon you that Griffin not only knew that. Just knew who that voice was, who that voice belonged to, but also knew of the power that that voice possessed. And I will. Is there a. Tell you what, if you want to ask like a third off the back of a crit, give me. Give me a third thing that you want to see if you picked up one or not. [01:57:43] Speaker E: Wondering how much I can. I can stretch what's realistic. Would I have. Did this seem like some sort of family going on? [01:57:58] Speaker B: Is it daddy? [01:58:07] Speaker A: Based off the voice of the. The tone, based off what was like, the context. It's hard to say if, like, exactly what relationship there was between Griffin and the voice that you heard because also, I mean, obviously you also don't know who the voice was, but it is. [01:58:32] Speaker F: Clear. [01:58:35] Speaker A: That whoever this person is, like Griffin is close to them. The. The extent of the recoil of terror, of horror implied that Griffin just like intimately knew who that voice belonged to. But the relationship. The. The nature of that relationship is. I mean, you. We wouldn't be able to gauge. Yeah, it's someone close to Griffin. That much is sure. [01:59:19] Speaker B: Who is your daddy and what does he. [01:59:27] Speaker A: Yeah, it's. And the panic in Griffin's voice, as he said. As he. He was pleading with you to not pursue it, like there is a fundamental, like a core belief fear that has just been launched to the top of. To the forefront of Griffin's mind. So yes, that is what Gardi has. Has picked put together. And obviously then joining the dots pick pardon, is that whoever this person is that Griffin is close to horrified of about. And. And so on and so forth also seems to be connected to this kick. Fran, who Cooper is related to, whose Cooper is connected to and Gardi, perhaps your experience of ancient wisdom kicks in. How many instances of circumstance can there be before you start to see something begin to emerge? [02:00:54] Speaker E: Yeah, I guess I'll. I'll reiterate that something seems off and I'll. I'll. I'll summon Binky, my, my beautiful sweet wolf Tinga boy, and I'll just tell him to Go and like, just. Just find Griffin and look after him, would you? [02:01:28] Speaker A: Okay. [02:01:29] Speaker B: Your. [02:01:30] Speaker A: Your wallpatinger kind of scoots off in search of Griffin. Is there. This is a question for Nate primarily. Is there a. Is there a moment that you feel will be interesting for us to look at with Griffin on his own or is he just sort of like cloistering away in. [02:01:59] Speaker F: He's. He's probably gone outside to try and grab some air. He's. He's sunk down onto the floor and he's clutching his knees. He tries to sort of get his bearings. He. He fumbles around in his jacket. He sort of reaches into the pocket and just before he grabs anything out, the. The Wilbur Tinger will turn up and he'll just Joshua out of fear and sort of kind of sit there and look at it and pet it softly to try and calm himself down. [02:02:50] Speaker A: It purrs like a chainsaw. Oh, relaxing. Okay. In which case I will say that as. I mean it is. I mean it's not. It's like lunchtime tops at the moment because you guys left all the shawl early morning this morning. It took. We're taking about half hour to sail across. I'm about an hour towards walk up. Yeah. It's not even lunchtime. I think it's. It's probably like 11. These keepers going boozy crazy like keep alive pre. Pre lunchtime. But yeah, it's Griffin. You do kind of get this impression that like, everyone. Everyone around you is merry and mirthful and like there seem to be people kind of embracing one another, thankful that this kind of. This curtain that had been cast over them by Malgova has finally lifted and like, everything just seems so perfect here. Do you find that comforting or frustrating? [02:04:18] Speaker F: I think. I think Griffin will find that comforting. [02:04:22] Speaker A: Okay. He. [02:04:24] Speaker F: He enjoys seeing people happy. [02:04:27] Speaker A: Okay. In which case, back in the great hall. Yeah. [02:04:35] Speaker F: We. [02:04:36] Speaker A: We find the. The other four of you who. What's Cooper doing? Having. Having just had to fight for his life. [02:04:50] Speaker C: Yeah. Jesus Christ. [02:04:53] Speaker A: Ah. [02:04:53] Speaker C: I think he wants a drink. He wants us to process the last. Well, days. It feels like this is the first time even after. After everything that happened. Do sh. They were like, right, quick stop. Now we're getting on a boat. You get on the boat, you're getting. [02:05:13] Speaker A: Here, you're getting here. [02:05:14] Speaker C: You're going to go, you know, so it's been very like. Like, very like speeding across to do things and it feels nice to have some sort of victory. We have helped Abe's, you know, people, and that's Nice. So he's just like, sure. So I think he's gone to find a drink and is processing how he will speak to Griffin later. [02:05:41] Speaker A: Yeah. In which case, as you. As you're sort of like over by the bar, it's that bitter fur tree ish ale that. That Abe has been ranting and raving about. Do you agree with Abe's taste? Is it. Is it an owl or is it. Is it not quite your tastes like trees? [02:06:12] Speaker C: I think Cooper is used to more city based drinks. So it is. It's an acquired taste. I think he tries it. At first he's just like h. And then the more of it you have, the nicer it gets. [02:06:24] Speaker A: Sure. [02:06:25] Speaker C: Feel like that's. That's where Cooper is a bit. [02:06:28] Speaker A: In which case, what's the first thing that your mind kind of goes to as you kind of take this moment to collect yourself in on. On your own? [02:06:42] Speaker C: I think I think of doll. [02:06:43] Speaker A: I think. [02:06:44] Speaker C: I think of the devastation that happened there. [02:06:49] Speaker A: Okay. In which case, as you like, perhaps it's a. When you close your eyes and you see the images that are burned into your mind flashing. You hear. You hear the screams. You hear the whales. You hear the sound of cracking, burning timber, of shattering rock, of pulverized bone and armor. And you hear the horns. You hear the blaring war horns. You hear the marching of footsteps. You hear the galloping of hooves on ground. You hear the. The bar's commands urging those loyal onto victory. You hear the cr. The sounds of an. Of almighty battle. Righteous battle. Righteous all. And these are not sounds you heard in dollar charm. And through it all, you hear a deep yet roundedly feminine voice. For a moment you wonder, is this. Is that Ella's mirror's voice? And perhaps your mind starts to believe it is and makes it sound a bit more like Ella's mirror. But it's a. It's a whisper. If anything. Broken. Broken. Find. [02:09:06] Speaker B: Me. [02:09:11] Speaker A: Complete. [02:09:15] Speaker B: Me. [02:09:23] Speaker A: And you find yourself jostled as a. As a resident of rightful n. Accidentally bumps into. Oh, apologies, friend, he says as he grabs a large tank of the ale and kind of marches back off to his companions. [02:09:45] Speaker C: I think Cooper will. Yeah, I heard that Cooper will like, be. Will jump and be like, sorry, mate. Sorry. And he hopes. Part of him hopes is just the stress of it and that he's just daydreaming and it's just. He's just daydreaming and then part of him is like, no, that. [02:10:15] Speaker B: That. [02:10:16] Speaker C: I've never heard that before. That's weird. And I think after the conversation he had with everyone else where he was like, I'm not hiding anything. I think he will start to see if he can find Cass anywhere, though she may be busy. So he's not. He's not holding his breath. [02:10:38] Speaker A: Okay, well, as you turn away from the bar and you sort of like begin to scan for Cassandra and you. You think to yourself, I'm not hiding anything. You are hiding. You are hiding me. [02:11:05] Speaker C: I think again, Cooper's just. [02:11:09] Speaker A: They do not trust you. They will betray you. They will sunder you. You are hiding. You must hide. [02:11:35] Speaker C: You must get out of my head. What are you. [02:11:41] Speaker A: The voice stops. Where is Cass? [02:11:56] Speaker D: Cass, I think has probably grabbed one of the bucket sized anchoreds of the Keepers. She's taken a swig for good luck and she's gone to find Abe. Where that. Wherever Abe is. [02:12:14] Speaker A: Okay. [02:12:15] Speaker B: Oh, Dutch courage. [02:12:18] Speaker D: Looking for courage. If she. She can find him in the. [02:12:27] Speaker A: Where do we find Ape? [02:12:34] Speaker B: He hasn't got up. He's still sitting where he originally was. I think he's just kind of there. He's still got. He's like a couple of tankards in, but it's. That doesn't really touch the side. [02:12:48] Speaker D: It doesn't seem to have bothered him in the slightest. [02:12:52] Speaker B: And he's just kind of watching his. He goes between just kind of suspiciously looking at Cooper. And then looking at his daughter who's obviously doing the rounds and talking to everyone who just kind of keeps looking back at him and being like, oh, we'll chat in a minute. And I'm just an. Abe's just like, okay. And just kind of drinking, waiting for. [02:13:22] Speaker D: I'm imagining like the mustaches. Like you get like the. The frown. And then he turns to his daughter and like it lifts. [02:13:33] Speaker A: Does it just bristle out slightly? [02:13:39] Speaker B: Just. Yeah. It's a complicated man. He's got two emotions. [02:13:51] Speaker A: Three if we count asleep as an emotion. [02:13:54] Speaker D: It definitely is. Cass is gonna kind of like she's gonna walk over. She's gonna sit down next to him, just sort of silently. [02:14:05] Speaker A: Just gonna put on some slightly happier music because. Yeah, the trauma has stopped now. Yeah. Let me put on the. Let's put on. Carry on. I'm just gonna just scrub it through the music. [02:14:25] Speaker B: Has Cass got a tankard with her? [02:14:27] Speaker D: Yeah, she's got like two hands on the tankers. [02:14:30] Speaker B: Kind of don't say tastes like trees. [02:14:34] Speaker D: I've noticed that. Yeah. [02:14:37] Speaker B: It's good. Don't get stuff like that on dollar shawl. [02:14:42] Speaker D: No, I. I can't imagine. We'll get this Anywhere else. And she's a huge drink. [02:14:48] Speaker B: Do it while you can. [02:14:53] Speaker D: Puts it down. And then she just sort of says to the open air that is around Abe, My whole family went missing. They're just gone. I don't know where they are. I haven't heard of them since the Eschaton. [02:15:16] Speaker B: Right. [02:15:18] Speaker D: Stares at the wall. The nearest wall. Yeah. [02:15:24] Speaker B: Is that good or not so good? [02:15:29] Speaker D: No. I mean, there was so many of us. And one day I woke up and I had this. And she just. Like little crackles of thunder. And they were gone. And I thought to myself, cass, you know the thing you can do? You've always been good at it. Research. So if you just find a wild spirit and you talk to it, it will tell you why you can do this. And everyone else is gone. And so what did I do? I found someone who could talk to a wild spirit. And then we came here. And then everything happened. [02:16:20] Speaker B: Right? I mean, yeah, that's. That's just. Just toughen it. [02:16:32] Speaker D: And she says she kind of. She pats. She pats his arm in a way it makes very clear she is not used to. So really helping your daughter. A good job. [02:16:52] Speaker B: I mean, I. You know, I. I ain't gonna lie. I. I want a great dad. Well, I wasn't really there at all, to be fair, so, you know, she probably felt like I was missing because. Because I was really. My wife died. I didn't really care about much, and she. Yeah, I think she. The community looked after her. And I should have done. Yeah. [02:17:33] Speaker D: You came back. [02:17:36] Speaker B: Yeah. Not really off my own steam, was it? It's only because you lot dragged me here. Could have done this for years, you know, but I'm glad, of course. She's done me ever so proud. She's just like her mom. She was always stronger than me. Not physically, obviously, but, you know, better. Better person than I ever was. [02:18:15] Speaker D: I mean, obviously, I don't know you or anyone. Not really even Cooper anymore. But from what I've seen the last couple of days, all you've done is protect us and protect us and. Well, technically, the old woman wasn't really protecting us, but we were both quite certain that she was stronger than she was. So you've been throwing yourself in front of danger for people you don't even know. [02:18:51] Speaker B: Well, you know, that's all I can do, really. But I'm glad. I'm glad it all happened. And, you know, I just. I just wish it wasn't under such circumstances. But I think it will come right in the end, you know? She doesn't even need me. Look at her. It's just kind of Point Sarah. She's kind of going around doing her thing, talking to everyone, you know. Can't believe I made that. Can you look at her. [02:19:35] Speaker D: Cass tries to imagine Ape making that and then just like very. I feel like she's got a very organized mind and she just kind of puts it away somewhere. [02:19:55] Speaker B: But I know. I think what it comes down to is you gotta hold on to family if you can. If you can find them. I mean, if you had anything you heard, you heard nothing. You had no idea where yours has gone. [02:20:12] Speaker D: Maybe I'll find out here if we can get to them. [02:20:23] Speaker B: Is. Is he close? [02:20:28] Speaker D: Yes. Yes, we were. [02:20:33] Speaker B: I'm surprised. You know, you're pretty independent woman. [02:20:46] Speaker A: As you just. Does Cass laugh at. [02:20:54] Speaker D: I think. [02:20:54] Speaker A: I think she. [02:20:55] Speaker B: She. [02:20:55] Speaker D: She hesitates to this and then she laughs. It's quite clear that she's. She's had at least a. A bucket previous to this. Bucket. [02:21:03] Speaker A: Sure. [02:21:04] Speaker B: Yeah. [02:21:04] Speaker D: So she does laugh. [02:21:06] Speaker F: Sure. [02:21:07] Speaker A: In which case, yeah, Abe is you like. As you see Cass laugh and I'm trying to think back. How many other situations have there been in over the past 48 hours where Cass has actually laughed. [02:21:21] Speaker B: And minus 1. [02:21:26] Speaker A: And A. Perhaps just watching like watching this smile kind of break across Cass's face. You like there's a moment where you kind of taking a. A breath. And as you glance over your shoulder towards your daughter, it's almost as if the site that's laid out in front of you seems like a warmer bloom. Like looking into a sepia tinged impression of the past. And instead of your daughter Brynia, who's conversing with some of the. The other village or some of the village elders, you. Your head cocks for a moment and you blink. As in bring your place is Zulnara your wife. And as you blink away this memory, this sense of deja vu, you see that your daughter Brynia is in fact talking to the village elders. And as you sort of like turn perhaps look down at the ground away Cass. You trace where Abe was looking. And as Abe looks away, you spy bring your. His daughter kind of glance over to the. Where the two of you are sitting. And you witness this kind of like two ships passing in the night. And as she kind of peers over to the two of you a few moments later you hear bring your approaching saying I. I'm hoping that you're not going to spend the whole day drinking there. Sounds like you've got some. You've got a bit of a tall order ahead of you. [02:23:42] Speaker B: Well, I just haven't. You know. Yeah, I. I guess. [02:23:50] Speaker A: We. I've been speaking to some of the others. In honor of the world spirit spirits, a procession of us are going to head up to the standing stones so we may commune with Faiza and Burunan in a way that we have not been able to for many, many months. You are of course welcome to join us. But. And additionally, if there are any supplies that we can outfit you and your companions with. She says dress, drink to sort like the two of you. And she or she can only see two others. We are more than willing to help. I regret to say that we cannot really afford much in the way of bodies. We are going to need everyone from the village to help us repair and un. Undo the. Undo what Malgova has done to us. But if we can help in other ways, we will. [02:25:03] Speaker B: Well, I guess it'll all depend on where we're heading. Kind of looks at Cass. So I guess that's our decision in it. [02:25:15] Speaker A: Shall I summon your other companions? [02:25:19] Speaker B: Well, yeah. Saves me getting up in it. [02:25:25] Speaker A: And like bring your. Raises an eyebrow and then she looks down to the. The green third like leonine beast at her side. And then she. She kneels down and she presses her forehead to like the bridge of the snout of Kolaru. And you see her whispering something to the beast. And the beast kind of lets out a. A low rumbling and then sort of like pads off. And over the space of the next few minutes, Griffin, Cooper and Gardi, you are all visited by this large, green furred, tiger like beast who walks up to and fundamentally like paws at you to kind of get your attention and does that thing that cats do where they kind of turn around and wander off and then look over their shoulder to see if you're following. And before long are. Do I any of the three of you reject Kolaru's invitation to join the others? Or do we all find you back around the center of the great hall? [02:26:41] Speaker C: I return for sure. [02:26:43] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:26:44] Speaker C: Looking a little bit. Yeah, yeah, but I'm back. [02:26:46] Speaker A: Okay. And Griffin? [02:26:48] Speaker F: Yeah, Griffin will be the last one to return. And he's holding Binky, so. [02:26:57] Speaker A: In which case, as the five of you reconvene, Bringa broaches the subject. It would seem that you are tasked with an impossible task to free the world spirits of whatever afflicts them. From what I understand from your machinations, Gadi, the. The Pfizer and Bunan have returned to their. To their dens. And Father, I'M sure you will know. But for everyone else's. For everyone else's information, if they have been sent home, sent back, then they will likely. Likely be. She says. And as we zoom out of the kind of world map so you are currently rather central on the island in Riceville. Now Pfizer layers to the north, northwest in her. In her caverns and Bunan lairs in the floating pools to the northeast. Where would you like to go first? [02:28:41] Speaker B: Looks the group hot or cold? [02:28:47] Speaker F: G, you have more. You probably have more experience than any of us with. With these world spirits. Any suggestions? [02:28:57] Speaker E: Experience is about 5 seconds of. [02:29:01] Speaker A: Of. [02:29:02] Speaker E: Well, it wasn't exactly a chat. Do we have any idea which one X was more likely to go for first? [02:29:21] Speaker C: Which was the closest? [02:29:25] Speaker E: Yeah. Where did. Where did Exo's ship go, Dan, when I was having it followed. [02:29:34] Speaker A: It. How. What caused Binky to come back? The success. Because I remember he found that the ship was sailing back towards the island. [02:29:55] Speaker E: I think he saw where it docked, but I can't remember where he said that was. [02:30:00] Speaker A: Yes, where would he have docked? The ship was moored. The ship was moored relatively close to where the five of you or six of you, including Coraline, made landfall as well. So perhaps kind of like a little bit further along the coast. So arguably, somewhat infuriatingly perhaps he would have gone inland much and much like you being quite central on the island. So he could realistically have gone to Ivor. [02:30:54] Speaker E: Cool. I suppose I'm. I'm more familiar with open terrain and plains and mesas. We. We could try heading towards. Try heading towards the ice. But either. Either way, I think it's going to us. [02:31:25] Speaker C: End game if you are. [02:31:32] Speaker D: I cities. [02:31:35] Speaker E: Are you with us? [02:31:37] Speaker F: Yeah, I'm with you guys. [02:31:45] Speaker A: Bring your nods. I have spoken to some of the scouts who've recently returned. They have noticed that much like the island was afflicted with that storm over the past few weeks, there already seem to be strange weather phenomenas happening over seemingly over the layers of Pfizer and Burunan. Snow has been reported to be falling on the mountain peaks that shield Pfizer's lair. And snow has not fallen on this island for well since before we were cast here by the Eschaton. I fear that Faiza and Burunan's awakened presences are affecting the ecosystems of the isles. So I would suggest making preparations for a rather cold journey. He can of course provide you with warm clothes and supplies, anything that you need. But this. This will not be a. An easy trek. [02:33:12] Speaker E: Do you have any pack llamas? [02:33:15] Speaker A: I cannot say we do. We have other beasts. However, if you want, we can afford you. We can afford you three beasts. Father here is likely going to be enough weight for one of them, but for the the other four of you. Oh no, there's six of you. We can afford you three beasts. And you will have to. You will have to ride in pairs. But given that you have gotten to know my father, I'm sure you will get on with these beasts just as well. And are there any other questions? Because if not, we can smash cut to said pieces. [02:34:19] Speaker F: Could. [02:34:20] Speaker C: Could we have some marble weapons or armor? Maybe, maybe not. [02:34:34] Speaker A: Bring your nods. [02:34:37] Speaker C: We. [02:34:37] Speaker A: We. We certainly have spare armaments and armor. She looks to the five of you and fundamentally the choice is would you like to upgrade your weapon or your armor to tier 3? [02:35:02] Speaker B: I don't wear armor cast. [02:35:04] Speaker A: Unfortunately. Unfortunately, they don't have a tier three alimony. They don't have a gun. [02:35:13] Speaker D: Like she would ever get rid of alimony anyway. [02:35:19] Speaker A: Although actually thinking about it, if you wanted to, like you. What You've clearly seen that there are smiths that work that this marble. Given that people are wearing armors and have fashioned it into weapons. So you wonder if perhaps alimony is upgradable in such a way. You've noted that now since the departure of the lady in purple, the marble was. Is almost becoming inverted commas inert to the point where you feel like a. Is almost anti magic. Like it's. It's. It's almost like it contains magic. So perhaps lining your. The barrel of alimony will help to focus the mana that runs along the inside it. Because there's no accidental kind of mana dispersion of the. Of the shot before it emerges from the barrel. So actually, yes, if you wanted to upgrade alimony to effectively a tier 3, we can do that. [02:36:27] Speaker D: Thank you. Can't get rid of it. [02:36:33] Speaker A: So Abe, are you going upgraded weapon or upgraded armor shield? Realistically. [02:36:45] Speaker B: Shield. Oh, yeah. What for armor or. No, I want to do more damage with my ax. [02:36:53] Speaker A: Okay, so Abe is going for an ax, so. An upgraded ax. Very good. What about Cooper? [02:37:05] Speaker C: Oh, that's tricky because part of me is like armor. [02:37:08] Speaker F: Let's go. [02:37:09] Speaker C: But I don't know how much more armor I would get. So I think it depends on how many more armor slots would be up for. Okay. [02:37:17] Speaker B: Yeah. [02:37:17] Speaker D: Let's go. [02:37:18] Speaker C: Let's go, let's go. [02:37:20] Speaker A: I don't think it is. Well, it ups your threshold. [02:37:24] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [02:37:25] Speaker C: Okay. [02:37:26] Speaker B: Or you squishies. [02:37:29] Speaker C: Yeah. Let's do armor then. [02:37:30] Speaker A: Okay, so my marble baby. Okay, so Cooper is upgrading his armor. And Griffin. What's he upgrading? [02:37:44] Speaker B: Marble? [02:37:45] Speaker A: Accordion, baby. [02:37:48] Speaker F: I was gonna have a wonderful sound. I think I'm also gonna upgrade my armor as well then. [02:37:56] Speaker A: Okay, so Griffin, armor. And Cass, Are we going alimony? [02:38:05] Speaker B: Yes. [02:38:07] Speaker A: Okay. Marvelous. Cass, go for the gun. And finally, Gardi. [02:38:13] Speaker E: Oh, my lovely armor, please. [02:38:15] Speaker A: Oh, more. Okay. In which case, we will. Yeah, we'll update those. Ready for. For next week. Might even treat you to new character models if you're lucky, maybe. Is there anything else you're wanting to ask? Ask about. Ask for. Because I'm imagining that maybe the residents of Riceville Nar Will have consumables if you want them, now that we have a beautifully working dagger heart system, but I can just throw items out willy nilly. [02:39:01] Speaker E: Amazing. [02:39:02] Speaker A: Okay. [02:39:03] Speaker F: Yeah. [02:39:03] Speaker E: I would also, I think, ask for whether they're given that we're asking about potions anyway. Ask whether they have any. Any stocks of Drake flour. [02:39:16] Speaker A: In which case, if we are asking for, like, alchemical consumables and the like, like, potions, alchemy bits and bobs. Bring your nods. I'm. I'm sure we can accommodate for that, but I will. Well, father, the. The. The herbalist of the village is still who it was when you were last here. It is. Our herb list is still Dotty and Abe. Well, the. For four of you. You recognize that name? It was mentioned earlier. Earlier today. But, Abe, you. You kind of close your eyes because you know exactly who Dottie is. Dottie is Exo's mother. But when you left 18 months ago, she wasn't in the best of states. She'd been declining ever since her child left. And the eschaton kind of really hammered a sense of, I've lost my son. I'll never get him back. If you. Perhaps it would be good for you to speak to Dottie, father, so let her know that you're well. Perhaps not to tell her what you're planning on doing, but it would be good for her to see a familiar face. [02:41:06] Speaker B: No, absolutely. Or check in on her. [02:41:12] Speaker A: In which case, is anyone else joining Abe as he goes to meet Dottie? [02:41:19] Speaker E: I think I would. Yeah. [02:41:22] Speaker B: As a. Hasn't got a choice. Abe's like, oh, go on. Sure, Herb boy. [02:41:28] Speaker A: Before. [02:41:29] Speaker F: Before G. Wanders off. Griffin's gonna just hand you back binky and just kind of go, thank you. [02:41:37] Speaker A: It was just what I needed. [02:41:40] Speaker E: I'll just, yeah. Give you a little nod and, yeah. Going, okay. [02:41:46] Speaker A: In which case you Head to a small. A small by comparison hut towards the edge of the village. By comparison the hut is quite. I guess the word is debilitated. It's a bit overgrown. It's not very well tended to. And g. As you appear upon this hut kind of carved into the side of. Or built out the side of a. Of a trunk of a tree, you can see all sorts of like flora that you aren't expecting to be kind of clustered together. Growing up the size of this thing to the point where you wonder if this. If this is the house of the herb list. Is she quite literally growing the herb like the herb reagents out of her house? It certainly seems that way. And then as you what like you watch as Abe enters and sat on a small little rocking chair in front of a fireplace that is not lit. Just kind of gently swaying backwards and forwards. Okay. Is this little by comparison little keeper keep a woman. And she rocks backwards and forwards. And she wears a curious mishmash of. Of clothing. There appears to be some sort of like mottled skin skirt that she wears. She has a basket of flowers like resting on her lap that she's sort of like gently kind of preening as she rocks backwards and forwards. And Garda, you notice as she turns to see who's entered, she's just got this pleasant little smile on her face. But her eyes like keep. Her eyes are normally kind of gem like anyway. But hers almost seem to be glowing green. And who's that? She says as you enter? Abe. [02:44:16] Speaker B: Right. Dart. It's me, Abe. Abel. Rick. [02:44:24] Speaker A: Hey, Bull. Rick. Come. Come close. Cynthia. Come, come. My eyes aren't like they used to be. Come close. Come closer. [02:44:36] Speaker B: Sort of delicately as he can, he just kind of gets down and sort of kneels next to her chair. [02:44:44] Speaker A: There you are. She says. She kind of squints ever so gently. Are you. You haven't aged a day, young man. [02:44:56] Speaker B: Oh, you always a charger. [02:44:59] Speaker A: How. How have you been? It feels like it's been a while. [02:45:06] Speaker B: Oh yeah. Good while. I'm back now. How have you been? You alright? I've land on a knee. [02:45:18] Speaker A: I've been good. I've. I've been keeping busy. You know how it is. They're. They're keeping me feeling young. I haven't. I haven't seen Exo in a while. Was he. [02:45:35] Speaker C: I. [02:45:36] Speaker A: He said that he was down by the river with you the other day. Have you seen him recently? [02:45:44] Speaker B: Oh, no, no. I. I mean I've only. I've only come passing so I. I haven't seen him. He looks at Gardy like. [02:45:55] Speaker E: God, he's just desperately avoiding eye contact. [02:45:58] Speaker A: He'll be home for dinner. I'm. I'm sure he always. He always loves the stews. [02:46:06] Speaker D: Oh. [02:46:07] Speaker A: Oh, hello. She says looking. [02:46:09] Speaker B: Oh, this is my friend. Come in, Gardy. Come on. [02:46:15] Speaker A: Are you. You look like you could do with some stew or you need to get some meat on those keeper bones of yours. [02:46:24] Speaker B: No, no, he's not a keeper. [02:46:26] Speaker A: He's. [02:46:27] Speaker B: He's majority. He's. He's not a keeper. He's come to visit. [02:46:32] Speaker A: Dot just kind of looks at you Abe, and there's a slightly vacant smile on her face. [02:46:40] Speaker E: Some stew would be lovely, but we're in a bit of a rush, I'm afraid. [02:46:44] Speaker C: Oh. [02:46:46] Speaker A: Oh. [02:46:46] Speaker B: How. [02:46:47] Speaker A: How can I help you? [02:46:53] Speaker E: Do you happen to have any. Any Drake Flower around these parts? Maybe a dragon's tears? [02:47:02] Speaker A: We used. We used to but it's been been a while since. Since. Well, Exo said he was going out to fetch some for me. Lars. It's a bit too far for me to go get them on the other side of the island. But Exo should be home soon. He's. He's usually home for dinner. He loves his ste. I might have other. Other things if you want to. I've been brewing. Brewing quite a lot lately. [02:47:46] Speaker B: We are anything that's good for healing. I don't know. God, you're better than this than me. [02:47:57] Speaker E: We're going somewhere quite. Quite chilly. Do you have any. Anything that can help keep us warm? [02:48:02] Speaker A: Tall Dot nods as emphatically as her kind of old bones will let her in. Oh yes, I've got something just for that. It. It can get quite chilly up in these mountains, can't it? I always wonder why we made our homes up in mountains rather than somewhere warm. That would have been nice, wouldn't it? You've got something that will warm your cockles? Yes, I'm all of what I've been brewing. And she points a slightly Nile finger. They're all over on my workbench over there. God. As you turn to look you see a. Like a herbalism alchemy like table set up and the. There are some potions that are made and like stored in racks. But you notice that the pestle and mortar, the vials for like the. The sieves. There's a lot of heavy dust lying on them. There are cobwebs hanging between them and it's quite clear that Dot hasn't been making potions for a while. And perhaps the potions that are on her table are older, but you suspect homegrown, you know, so they're still going to be pretty potent, but it's just one more piece of a puzzle that colors dotting. By all means, I able. Rick's always been good to me, so help yourself to whatever you need. I've. I've labeled them. You wouldn't want to mix up your, your bonding honey and your, your dragon bloom tea, now, would you? [02:50:00] Speaker E: Certainly wouldn't. I'll. We'll make sure to bring you back some, some drake flower as well. [02:50:05] Speaker A: Thank you. Thank you. [02:50:07] Speaker E: Oh. [02:50:08] Speaker A: Oh, Abel. Rick, if she. And she starts patting your hand. If you, if you find, if you see Exo, tell him, tell him that dinner will be ready, the stew will be ready. Yes, he loves the stew. [02:50:25] Speaker B: Oh, I will. Don't you worry, my dear. I, I, if I see him, I'll. I'll make sure he's home for dinner. [02:50:34] Speaker A: And Dottie kind of nods and she sort of like turns her head away and begins kind of rocking and preening the feather the flowers in her basket. And you kind of get the impression that perhaps these flowers look freshly picked. So perhaps the keepers are just the, the other villagers of Riceville Nara just kind of giving her these flowers to kind of keep her occupied and as she's become, begins tending to them. And then she stops and. [02:51:02] Speaker B: Oh. [02:51:03] Speaker A: Oh, Abel. Rick. Horror. Sight for sore eyes. It's been a while. How you doing there? [02:51:12] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, I'm doing great, my love. I've just, we've got, we gotta go. I, we gotta go down and I gotta help go chop some wood. So I'll be back shortly. That's all right, my love. He just kind of gets a blanket and just kind of pats her in. Don't you worry now. [02:51:32] Speaker A: And she, she sort of like looks to you with these slightly glowing eyes and she kind of smiles and nods and that point her attention returns to the basket and she carries on rocking and preening. [02:51:47] Speaker B: Kind of scoops herself up and gets herself right. Guardi. You get what you need out of that? You know, I don't know what the herbs are. You get what you want. [02:51:57] Speaker E: It's like take a couple of minutes to do a little sort of superficial clean up and organize of the, of the workbench. Pick up a couple of whatever seems helpful. [02:52:18] Speaker A: Tell you what, roll me, roll me a D6 and don't roll a one. Oh, let's turn off. [02:52:30] Speaker E: Does my herbalism experience help in any manner? [02:52:33] Speaker A: Oh, you know what? Yeah, I'll let You re. [02:52:38] Speaker B: Roll it. [02:52:39] Speaker E: Sick. Thanks. Here's one of them. It's a six. [02:52:51] Speaker A: Cool. There will be six potions that you're able to acquire from that. You look and go, oh, this will be useful. This will be useful. This will be useful. So separately we'll go through the list and kind of pick these out and then I'll add those to everyone's character sheets. [02:53:09] Speaker B: Fabulous. [02:53:11] Speaker A: In which case, yeah, Gardy, with your kind of supplies in tow, a perhaps with one final kind of glance over your shoulder towards Dottie as she sort of like just blissfully unaware, just kind of rocking in a chair in front of her unlit fireplace, You duck out into the the village air. And we will fast forward ever so slightly as the five of you are descending away from the standing stones, leaving behind the. The citizen, the the villagers of Rice Vilna as they kind of as they wrap up their ceremony at the standing stones. And as the five of you descend into the forested valley where you know about approximately a day ago, you witness the two titans dueling out kind of dwarfing you. And as you begin your journey towards the north western corner of the island, towards Pfizer's lair we will call it there. [02:54:42] Speaker B: What flu is our animals. [02:54:47] Speaker F: Community thing. [02:54:49] Speaker A: Potato. Well, you know what? Yeah, I have got something planned but community sounds much more fun. [02:54:59] Speaker B: So. [02:55:02] Speaker A: For anyone who's still watching or is watching after the fact, you have until next Monday the 18th, ideally before. [02:55:11] Speaker B: Monday we can get into the hero. [02:55:54] Speaker A: Yes. They're all mountain Chihuahuas. [02:55:57] Speaker C: Yay. [02:55:58] Speaker A: So we have reached the end of episode 10. Congratulations. You did it. The. The system didn't break. That was good. But yeah, excited to see where we go from here. So with all that said, thank tell you what. Wait, hold, hold. Turn down the music. Can I do the whole outro in a minute? Yeah. Why. Wait for it to start. Started for me. [02:56:45] Speaker E: Oh, is it go down go. It started. [02:56:47] Speaker A: Wait, it's not for the Internet.
