[00:01:34] Speaker A: Hello, Internet. Hello, world. Hi, welcome. My name is DM Dan. And we are the explorers of elsewhere. And we're live in your eye holes and your ear holes. Hello, welcome. I'm Dan. [00:01:51] Speaker B: Dan. [00:01:52] Speaker A: I'm joined tonight by Livy. [00:01:55] Speaker C: Hello, hello. [00:01:56] Speaker A: My Theo. Oh, that was very quiet. Hello. But hello nonetheless. [00:02:02] Speaker D: Oh, I think you're. [00:02:04] Speaker C: You're mute. [00:02:06] Speaker A: Oh, no. Speak to us in the form of interpretive dance. It's. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. Well, you push some buttons, Theo, while we say hello to Nate. Hello, hello. And say hello to Georgia. Hello, hello. And then say hello to Tim. [00:02:30] Speaker B: Hello, hello. [00:02:31] Speaker A: Hello, hello, hello. So we have returned to play some dagger heart. Are we lagging? [00:02:41] Speaker E: We are. We are currently. It's currently buffering. It's on my side in YouTube. [00:02:46] Speaker A: How curious. [00:02:48] Speaker E: And is not doing anything while we're going live. [00:02:52] Speaker F: It's on. On my side if anyone can hear me. [00:02:56] Speaker A: Yeah, YouTube are reporting outages. That's a problem. [00:03:06] Speaker F: Oh, I can definitely see us online, [00:03:10] Speaker A: but okay, when you say it like via. Via the stream. This the wonders of live streaming, everyone. [00:03:19] Speaker E: Do you want me to check Twitch? [00:03:21] Speaker A: I think we're good on Twitch. I can see my head moving around there. It might just be YouTube. Is it just YouTube that's died of death? Who knows? [00:03:30] Speaker F: I can. I can definitely see us on YouTube. [00:03:33] Speaker E: But then, yeah, it's buffering quite a bit for me on YouTube. [00:03:38] Speaker C: It's buffering for me. [00:03:39] Speaker E: It might just be me, you know, [00:03:41] Speaker C: it's me as well. [00:03:42] Speaker A: It's okay. [00:03:44] Speaker B: Well, down detector definitely has. Is indicating problems. [00:03:49] Speaker A: If YouTube is weird. [00:03:53] Speaker E: Go to Twitch. [00:03:55] Speaker A: Always watch. Yeah, you can watch on Twitch. Okay, well, we'll figure. We'll figure that out. We've got. We've got a title sequence to figure that out. But yes. Hello. Hi. A flawless, flawless start. As always. We have returned to play some dagger heart. We are officially in the second half of our 20 episode campaign. So we are. Yeah, we are in. I'm gonna. I'm gonna say a conservative fourth gear. We're not a top gear yet, but we're. We're certainly plugging along. So, yes, I am excited to see what's going on. You guys are heading towards a titan. You have picked picture poison and you are heading off in that direction. You've been newly outfitted with some new equipment. I think you guys are ready to rock. [00:04:49] Speaker C: Yay. [00:04:51] Speaker A: Who would like to jump to a title screen while we wait for. For everyone to jump across from YouTube onto Twitch? [00:05:00] Speaker E: I'm going down. [00:05:01] Speaker D: Treat us grateful. [00:05:03] Speaker A: Let's Go. [00:05:20] Speaker E: Hello, I'm Nate and I'll be playing Griffin, a Sanguar bard. [00:05:26] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Livy and I'm playing Abe, the Guardian keeper. [00:05:32] Speaker F: Hello, my name is Theo and I'll be playing Koopa Dragon scent rogue. [00:05:38] Speaker D: Hi, my name is Georgia and I'll be playing Cassandre, an ace of our sorcerer. [00:05:44] Speaker B: Hi, I'm Tim and I'm playing Gardi, the Johnny Druid. [00:05:50] Speaker A: And my name is DM Dan, the games master in this adventure. Sam. Nature is above all else, resilient. For every storm, for every shifting tide, every creeping change in climate, life bends and reshapes itself to endure. Forests regrow after fires, rivers carve new paths, and even in the ruins of a city, plants find cracks to root in. This slow and patient rhythm is the essence of. Of adaptation. The quiet dance of survival that has carried life across countless periods of upheaval. And yet, resilience has limits. When change arrives too suddenly, when balance is torn apart by too sudden a shock, the harmony collapses. What emerges in their wake is not the gentle reshaping of adaptation, but devastation. After all, the aftermath of the eschaton and the departure of the dragons saw elsewhere only healing by a direct intervention from the world spirits. A problem then arises when it would seem that the very presence of a world spirit is the catalyst for such violent environmental turmoil. To resist it is to resist an overbearing deific power. All whilst the world around you attempts to survive the change as well. And so we find the five of you. Six of you. Beg my pardon? Currently a stride. Currently astride some large beasts of burden. And I. We. We collectively. Oh, an error has occurred on YouTube. Okay, what happens if I end that stream? [00:08:43] Speaker E: Hold. [00:08:44] Speaker B: Hold. [00:08:47] Speaker E: We as a collective, meaning we bullied Dan. [00:08:55] Speaker C: If he said it enough times in the chat, that it has to be trouble. True. [00:08:59] Speaker A: Did say enough in the chat. My. My apologies. I was so, so distraught. I don't actually think I uploaded it. Did I upload it? I've got a picture of it somewhere. Oh, Lordy. I've uploaded so many pictures today, but not the one that's really important for the start of the session. Well, tell you what. Tell you what? [00:09:26] Speaker C: What? [00:09:30] Speaker A: Amongst your selves. ADHD brain is thoroughly kicking in amongst yourselves. What is astride these magnificent beasts that we will see in a moment? What would. Like what. [00:09:54] Speaker C: What. [00:09:55] Speaker A: What do you. Between the five of you, Tell me what seen? Like what horizon you see in front of you? Like what. What does the first step, the first leg of your journey, look like? [00:10:13] Speaker D: I Want to know how many people consider stride these things at once? And are we pairing up? Are we. Are we threesome? [00:10:22] Speaker C: Are we? [00:10:23] Speaker A: Yes, there are three. So you've been gifted three of these magnificent beasts of burden to a stride. There's room for, like. There's one, like, driver, if you will, holding the reins. And there is a second on a slightly elevated perch behind the rider who can like their. Their height. Their extra height allows them to be a sort of like a lookout. Give them a bit of a advantage point to spy from. I. I will lock in that Abe and Cooper are on one of the beasts [00:11:07] Speaker E: together. [00:11:07] Speaker A: Together. Yes. Yes. They. They have kissing. [00:11:11] Speaker C: Oh, [00:11:15] Speaker A: yes, absolutely. Abe is riding Abe's a little spoon. Yes. Abe is piloting this beast, and Cooper is the, like, the pillion passenger. And. Yeah. [00:11:37] Speaker E: Who. [00:11:37] Speaker A: So who's. Who's joining Griffin? [00:11:42] Speaker B: I'll go with. I'll go with our boy. [00:11:44] Speaker A: Yay. Okay. Okay. Sorry. I'm trying to get this YouTube stream back up and running while. [00:11:55] Speaker C: So that means Cass is with mummy. I mean. I mean. [00:12:00] Speaker A: I mean, mummy. I mean, [00:12:07] Speaker F: We know our audience. Okay. We know our. [00:12:11] Speaker D: Themselves. [00:12:11] Speaker F: The two. [00:12:12] Speaker E: The two best girls. [00:12:13] Speaker F: Two best girls. [00:12:14] Speaker C: Yeah. Two best girlies. [00:12:20] Speaker A: So sorry. We've got aan. Cooper, who's with Griffin. Is it Guardi? [00:12:25] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. [00:12:26] Speaker A: Griffin and Guardi. And then. Oh, I'm not multitasking. Well, my apologies. My apologies. [00:12:36] Speaker F: Cast. Cass and Coraline. [00:12:38] Speaker C: Yeah, Cass and Coraline. [00:12:39] Speaker A: Cass and Coraline. [00:12:40] Speaker F: Perfect. [00:12:41] Speaker B: Yeah. Double G's [00:12:45] Speaker A: for my. For. Absolutely. For my benefit. Okay. Who between Griffin and Guardi, who is piloting. Who's. Who's maneuvering this large beast? [00:13:02] Speaker B: I think I probably would be. It's very much in my wheelhouse. [00:13:05] Speaker A: Yeah, Yeah. [00:13:05] Speaker E: I was going to say the same. [00:13:07] Speaker A: So Guardi's piloting and between Cass and Coraline, who's piloting. [00:13:12] Speaker D: I feel like Coraline's probably piloting in this instance. [00:13:15] Speaker A: Okay. [00:13:16] Speaker C: Cass is passenger princess. [00:13:18] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. Every time. [00:13:25] Speaker A: Okay, I'm going to reuse these settings. Beg my pardon. I'm just. Just about to get the YouTubes back. Apologies. Just imagine this is flawlessly done, and then that's. That's what we're going for next. All right, Turn that on. [00:13:50] Speaker F: Who. [00:13:50] Speaker E: Did we find out who's driving between Abe and Cooper? [00:13:55] Speaker A: Abe is up front there, obviously. [00:13:57] Speaker C: Yeah, as if he'll let Cooper drive. Drive. [00:14:02] Speaker E: We had a quick little chat in our little WhatsApp group. Is this a creature that Abe has already known? [00:14:11] Speaker A: Like, I can imagine that perhaps the reason Abe is piloting this large. This large creature is because, I mean, it's. I can imagine that you may never have seen Abe with such kind of gleeful joy in his eyes. But yeah, the. The six of you are astride these large creatures. I mean they're like. They are large on all. On all fronts. Realistically to look at Abe astride the like the reins seat of the creature, he looks normal sized. And by normal, I mean, you know, cooper size, you know, griffin sized. He doesn't look like a nine foot tall behemoth. But Livy, just. Just go ahead and describe to me what the creature you've managed to secure is. [00:15:23] Speaker C: So the creature is. Has a very large shell, sort of speckled. Actually. They come in different Specklings. Specklings, but predominantly sort of red and white spots. And inside the shell is a kind of black and white bear like creature with long fingernails and sort of little bear like ears and a sort of longish snoot. And Abe introduced them to the party as Snaj. [00:16:14] Speaker A: So yes, the three of you are. The six of you are astride three snatchers. They curious creatures, but like worry, intimidatingly large in stature despite the relatively low kind of ground clearance that they have. Yes, they've got these kind of large kind of radial mollusk like shells on their backs. But you also notice that there's a. Like a. It's almost like an armor plating made of a similar material that starts just behind their eyebrows and kind of goes up the back of their spine. Just. It strikes you in a way as a bit of an armadillo. If. If you described an armadillo to someone who'd never seen an armadillo before, this is kind of maybe what they would come up with. [00:17:12] Speaker C: An armored bear. Yeah. [00:17:14] Speaker A: Yes, yes. An armored bear with a big old shell on its back. And. Yeah. So Abe g. And so was it Castle Coraline. Piloting Coraline. So you're the. The three of you are sat in the. The front seats with these reins that are attached. The. The creatures. Livy, would you still. Would you say the creatures like. Sorry, Cass, you cannot for a moment consider that these things are actually called snatches. But that seems to be the name that Abe is very affectionately giving them. But Abe, the. The snazzer. Is it rather docile? Is it like. What's its temperament like? [00:18:03] Speaker C: Yeah, kind of sort of. They're quite. Sort of. They look docile and they look quite bumbling. You know, they're kind of moving a kind of slow, steady, even pace. But Abe has warned them that they do have a Nasty bit. And you would probably have to go see the herbalist if they bit you. [00:18:31] Speaker A: Okay, so they are. [00:18:33] Speaker C: They carry diseases. [00:18:35] Speaker A: They are capable of going from badger to honey. Badger. [00:18:39] Speaker C: Yes, Badger. What's a badger? We're talking about snatchers. [00:18:47] Speaker A: Yes. So we have. We have three snatchers, and then the other three of you are up on slightly elevated saddles. It's. I would. I would argue perhaps it might be. Well, I'll let you decide whether you're sort of like on the saddle in vocals normally or whether you're sitting side saddle. But as Cooper, as we can see illustrated in this picture, has decided to go traditional in his saddle usage. But perhaps it's somewhat uncomfortable. Existing lopes along you. Your legs are having to be quite splayed to kind of fit over the. The circumference of this shell. [00:19:29] Speaker C: It's not made for little people. [00:19:32] Speaker A: It's really small boys. It's really, really not. Yes, you've, you know, Cooper, with your crossbow out, you've got. You have as. As uncomfortable as it is. You have got a good kind of vantage as you. As you glance around. But yes, as the three of you are kind of plundering along the start of your journey, I will backtrack slightly to the well to. To just before you left because one of our number has recently come into some loot. And Gardy, we discovered at the end of the last session that you, yes, you had plucked sick a total of six potions from Dottie's kind of herbalism bench or alchemy bench. So what I'm gonna go ahead and say is three of the. Of the six, three are common, two are like. Two are rarer, and one is rarer still. And the way we can figure out exactly what it is you did pick up, if you can, to see three. Three are common. Two a rare one. Sorry, three are common. What? Two are uncommon, one is rare. So if I can get you to roll a D12, please. A 2D12. Bring them on. 2D12. [00:21:14] Speaker B: 2D12s. [00:21:15] Speaker A: 2D12. [00:21:19] Speaker B: Where have I put my dice? [00:21:21] Speaker A: Hold on. [00:21:24] Speaker B: I'm so old. [00:21:25] Speaker E: Here they are. [00:21:30] Speaker A: Two D12s. [00:21:32] Speaker B: Go. [00:21:34] Speaker A: Okay, so we have. We have an eight. Okay, so there are. So the. One of the first potions you picked up is a minor stamina potion. [00:21:47] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:21:48] Speaker A: I will let you decide whether you picked up multiple minor stamina potions or I'll let you roll again and then, you know, but that'll be you. So that would mean you only picked up one stamina potion, unless you happen to roll again. So do you want to stick with one or do you want to take. [00:22:08] Speaker B: Nah, let's go one. I want to go. Let's. Let's. Let's see what's on the list. [00:22:12] Speaker A: Let's do another 2D12. Okay. You also on about off the back of a 10, one of the vials you picked up, you noticed, contained this sort of like, mulch. Like, they look like mulched up leaves kind of suspended in this yellow, limish, yellowish kind of liquid. It doesn't look particularly appetizing as a concoction, but you identified them as varic leaves. And you know that if you were to consume this tincture, this vial, and make sure you get all of the two leaves that are crushed up inside it, you would immediately gain two. Hope. [00:23:18] Speaker B: So. [00:23:18] Speaker A: Let me start chucking these into chat. So I guess the question is, did you pick up one or two vials of varic leaves? [00:23:30] Speaker B: I want to roll the dice as many times as I can. [00:23:34] Speaker C: What's behind door number three? [00:23:35] Speaker F: Yes. Come on. [00:23:36] Speaker B: Okay, give me more of them. [00:23:40] Speaker A: So, varic Barrick leaves. [00:23:44] Speaker B: I'm very consistent once I got it. [00:23:49] Speaker A: What did you roll? You've rolled a nine. So you. So on the other hand, next to the varic leaves, it was very fortunate that you didn't pick up this third vial thinking it was also varic leaves, because it looks rather similar in. In texture and appearance. But you have just picked up. Well, you. You borrowed some grindel tooth venom. And you know that grindel tooth venom deals physical damage and does extra damage if you coat your weapon with it. [00:24:25] Speaker B: Nice. [00:24:26] Speaker A: Okay, so Those are your 3 commons for your uncommons. If I could get you to roll 3d12, I'll start putting these potions in your character sheet, Guardi. And then we'll figure that out. What was that you just rolled? You've rolled a. An 8. It's another minor stamina potion. [00:24:54] Speaker F: Oh. [00:24:56] Speaker B: Well, I'll see if you'll let me do this, huh? Or is it. [00:25:01] Speaker C: Or is it. [00:25:02] Speaker B: Or did I go to pick up another one of those, and I had a premonition that made me feel like that wasn't the best one to go for. Okay, so I'll use my. My premonition ability once per day thing that lets me reroll an action that I don't like the outcome of. [00:25:25] Speaker A: Sure, sure. [00:25:27] Speaker B: Nice. This is a really good use of that. Very powerful ability. [00:25:31] Speaker A: Very powerful ability. [00:25:36] Speaker B: This is an eight. I'm gonna. All right, fine. [00:25:38] Speaker A: A 25. Okay. That sounds much more spicy. Yeah. As you. As you hold on, as you pluck out, you go to pick up, and you realize, no, no, I don't want another stamina potion. Instead, what I will pick up is a major stride potion that gives the drinker plus one to their agility until the next rest. O Major stride potion that goes in your kitty. And your second. Do you want to take two of those or do you want to roll again? [00:26:12] Speaker B: You know the answer, Dan. [00:26:13] Speaker A: Okay, [00:26:16] Speaker C: big money. Big money. Big money. [00:26:18] Speaker E: Big money. [00:26:20] Speaker A: 22. [00:26:21] Speaker B: Slightly smaller money. [00:26:24] Speaker A: You wonder, given the natural challenges that are going to present themselves in the very near. But perhaps it would be good if Dottie won't miss. I mean, Dottie's not going anywhere. She won't miss the gill salve, which, when applied to your neck, allows you to breathe underwater for a number of minutes equal to your level. [00:26:48] Speaker B: If we come back and she's drowned, I'm going to be devastated. [00:26:53] Speaker A: Don't worry. The likelihood. The likelihood of that happening is about as likely as all of your companions falling off a cliff in a moment. Where you think, I feel like I could have seen this coming. Out in the world, Dan. [00:27:16] Speaker B: It might happen. [00:27:19] Speaker A: Okay, last but not least. We're going. We're going big on this one, Please. Roll me. Twelve. Four. [00:27:28] Speaker B: Oh, my God. Ignore this. This is terrible. This is. This is wrong. We're doing. We're going again. 32. [00:27:43] Speaker A: 30. You spy, hidden the back, seemingly forgotten, a potion that is lilac in color, but there are flecks of gold and silver within it. They're, like iridescent almost, despite being filtered by the liquid they're submerged in. And as you pick it up, wondering, is this. Could it be? And you shake it to see how the. The. The sparkles within kind of hang in the solution. You realize you have just picked up a Homit's secret potion. [00:28:38] Speaker F: Oh. [00:28:40] Speaker A: Which you know that after drinking will allow your next successful attack to automatically be a critical. [00:28:49] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. [00:28:51] Speaker C: Let me drink it right now. [00:28:55] Speaker E: Sorry. [00:28:55] Speaker B: That's going to. My big boy. [00:29:00] Speaker A: So there was a minor stamina, the. Oh, I don't think the leaves made it into your backpack. Okay, so you. Yeah. So you've got a minor stamina potion, the varic leaves, the grindel tooth venom, the major stride potion, the gill salve, and Homit's secret potion. That is quite. Quite the loot list you've acquired there. [00:29:25] Speaker B: Wonderful. [00:29:28] Speaker A: Very good, very good, very good. [00:29:30] Speaker B: So I pass those bad boys out now before anything untoward happens. [00:29:34] Speaker A: Yes, absolutely. If you let me know. Or if you type in Chat. Like, type in the chat and foundry who you want the potions to go to, and I'll start moving them around while will. That's all right. Additionally, as you're trundling along on the back of your Snaers. That sounds weird. [00:29:56] Speaker B: Riding them snatchers. [00:30:03] Speaker A: You all like. There are. There's an almost rhythmical clinking sound coming from some of you as no less than three of you. Guardi, Griffin, and Cooper. Starting with Cooper, just a real quick description. How is the marble interweaved in your armor? But how's the marble been added to your armor that. To the. To allow you for greater protection? [00:30:35] Speaker F: I feel like the. Like, I remember what they're called. The kind of like the supports that used to cover his arms for when he's firing. I feel like they've kind of been adapted and melded. So the. The marble is kind of in a kind of mosaic sitting between the metal. I think that's on his shooting arm that got affected the most from the blast. And I think also there's a bit of marble now on the ends of his, like, gloved supports as well, just to protect his hands a bit. [00:31:15] Speaker A: Okay, so a marble scattering. So little. Little motes of white, kind of gloss white amongst your armor. Very good. Very good. Griffin, how does your arm look different? [00:31:30] Speaker E: I like to believe they've made him sort of like another under jacket that sort of goes underneath it, and the marble's actually been placed, like, inside it. So you can't actually really see the marble. It's sort of been. It's sort of been slipped in between the fabric. [00:31:46] Speaker A: Okay, okay, Very good. A bit more. A bit more discreet on Griffin's part. And yeah, Gardi, how. How has your armor been augmented with the marble? [00:32:01] Speaker B: So some of the sort of studded sections of leather and lamellar have been slipped out of their sort of little. The little holsters and plates of marble have been put in their place. So I've got just sort of here and there into interwoven bits of marble. [00:32:22] Speaker A: Okay, so similar in a way to. To Cooper's lap. Yeah, very good, Very good. Meanwhile, happily astride his. His favorite beast in the world. Abe, there are. There is a. A glint of white from your ax as your ax has been augmented by. By the marble. May I suggest that old Reliable now may now be named New Reliable? [00:33:02] Speaker C: Well, he doesn't know if it's reliable yet. [00:33:06] Speaker A: Wow, this is awful. [00:33:08] Speaker C: It could be terrible. [00:33:10] Speaker A: It could very well be. If I remember rightly, you've had a few chances to swing It. And it's the. The addition. Well, where. Where is the marble on the weapon that it's augmented it. [00:33:33] Speaker C: I don't know if you'd call it rims. Like it's. It's like it's meshed into the edge of his weapon. So his. The thing remains the same, but they've kind of rimmed it either side with you. [00:33:53] Speaker A: So the cutting edge is now cutting [00:33:56] Speaker C: edges now made of marble. [00:33:58] Speaker A: Okay, so I guess the one. Well, the one thing you will have tested out, the addition of that marble to the edge of old Reliables blade. It does mean that it's like the marble is heavy. And even though it's not as. Sorry, it's. It's very dense. But even though it's not as heavy as its density would imply, it's still kind of putting the balance slightly off in comparison to what it used to be. So you do get the impression that perhaps it will be a little less accurate. However, the edge is wickedly sharp. You could say it is brutally sharp. [00:34:41] Speaker C: Could you now? [00:34:42] Speaker A: And that would mean that if you were to ever roll maximum on the damage dice, you would then get to roll another damage dice. [00:34:52] Speaker C: That sounds nice. You know, I. I have a feat that makes me roll maximum damage. [00:35:00] Speaker A: Well, [00:35:04] Speaker F: we. [00:35:05] Speaker A: Well, [00:35:09] Speaker B: oh, [00:35:12] Speaker A: as. As your as are in chat, Mr. Cosmo, because I've noticed the amazingness of your. Of. Of. Of the coding of Foundry born is that when the maximum is rolled, it automatically rolls another dice. And I've noticed they keep on rolling. So we will see how that mechanical interaction clocks in if Livy decides to roll max damage and whether she just does infinite damage. [00:35:41] Speaker C: Just. Just everybody in the whole campaign is now dead after one roll. [00:35:46] Speaker B: Exo's explosion was nothing to do with the gods. It was just a bit hard. [00:35:52] Speaker A: Hopefully there won't be a moment where Livy goes to roll damage and then the stream crashes [00:36:00] Speaker C: so many dice. [00:36:01] Speaker D: Well, it's not just the characters. It's everyone in the campaign. [00:36:05] Speaker C: Yeah. Explorers are. Elsewhere is no more. Elsewhere is no more. [00:36:12] Speaker A: Okay, so yes, your. Your new ass is brutal rather than reliable. But brutal reliable doesn't sound as fish as new reliable. So go with new reliable. New brutal. Old brutal. [00:36:27] Speaker C: Oh, that's all brutal, that is. [00:36:32] Speaker A: And finally, Cassandra. How has alimony been upgraded by the Marvel? [00:36:39] Speaker D: Alimony has had a swish new inside job done on the inside of its barrel. I suppose because she wasn't going to get rid of it. She wasn't going to replace it. It's her gun. She took it from Cooper. So it's had a bit of an upgrade to help the. The magic process along the inside of the gun. [00:37:04] Speaker A: Sure, sure. In which case, as you. So where the. Yeah, the. The barrel of alimony now that it's kind of inadvertent coated been replaced by this kind of marble tubing, it. It seems to innovate, refract the energy of your lightning blast from the arcane gem within, and it seemingly concentrates it into a more powerful blast, which will mean that on a successful attack, you can roll one attack additional damage, die, and then discard the lowest result. Very, very good. So you are all each equipped with more powerful weapons, as. Are there any. While I sort out the potions, are there any discussions that the five of you had with each other real quick before, like in a mini flashback? Any discussions that need to be had before you will start striding out into the wilderness. [00:38:17] Speaker C: Can we only hear what's going on in our. On our own Snatcher? [00:38:23] Speaker A: No. I mean, you can. Well, whether it's up to you. I mean, if you. If you want to, you can fundamentally have a chat with anyone kind of thing. It's not like you're walking in file, I don't imagine. Oh, I mean, you can. You can walk a file if you want a line of snatches, you can [00:38:42] Speaker B: always snatch up to someone if you want to chat to. [00:38:43] Speaker C: You could snatch her up. Do you think Snatchers have trails like snail, like from their, like, feet? Do they secrete. [00:38:55] Speaker D: Do they have a tail like a snail tail or feet? That's my question. Are they like a snudger mermaid? [00:39:01] Speaker A: They've got two front paws and then just. They are four paw. So they're bundling along. Yeah, it's, it's. They're almost like an ursine turtle, but instead of a turtle shell, it's a kind of a coiling kind of snail shell. [00:39:26] Speaker C: Snail. [00:39:29] Speaker B: Also, it's like some kind of snail badger. [00:39:32] Speaker C: Yeah, almost. [00:39:34] Speaker A: Almost. Yeah. And it's curious that they're called Snatches. [00:39:38] Speaker E: I thought that was just what they hurt while you strided. [00:39:42] Speaker C: Yeah, they give you a real, real ache in the snatches, that's for sure. [00:39:48] Speaker B: I thought it was just all they said, like, they're a Pokemon. Yeah. [00:39:56] Speaker E: They'd have to say it in a [00:39:57] Speaker A: West country accent as well. [00:39:58] Speaker F: Yeah, it had to be west country, [00:40:02] Speaker A: but yeah. Are there. Are there any conversations that anyone's having before? Before, like, oh, look, before you head off at the start of the journey kind of thing? Any. [00:40:13] Speaker D: As we climb aboard US Legend, I [00:40:16] Speaker C: think once we're aboard. [00:40:17] Speaker A: Snatch her up. [00:40:18] Speaker D: As we snatch her up. [00:40:19] Speaker A: As we snatch her up. [00:40:22] Speaker E: I think Griffin will try and gather you all before we. Before we saddle up. [00:40:36] Speaker C: About. [00:40:40] Speaker A: About. [00:40:40] Speaker E: You're right. Like. You're right. All of you are right. Like I. You don't know me from anyone. Like you. You could quite easily just leave me in the jungle. So I need. I need to know that I can trust you. But. But then again, I guess you need to know that you can trust me. [00:41:06] Speaker B: So [00:41:09] Speaker E: I. I got freaked out. I'm really sorry. I haven't heard that voice in a long time. That was the voice of Lord Golverian Sorrow Wind. He's. He's the head of House Stoneroth. Like one of the largest ace of our houses and all of elsewhere. He. He's not a nice person. He's. He's a tyrant. And now I'm. I'm worried what he wants in that mountain. So I know we've got to do like I'm. I'm. Cass, I'm really sorry, but we've got like another issue on our hands now. Like Exo is now one thing. And we need to go and talk to the Titans. I know this. And we need to go and help them. But can we go to the mountain afterwards? I think [00:42:21] Speaker A: he. Ah. [00:42:24] Speaker E: He's mad. He's. He's powerful and he's mad. He. He generally believes that like the curse and he points to his eyes. He doesn't believe that's a curse. He believes that's a message. He believes that's a message that the Sanguvara meant to take over elsewhere. And he will stop at nothing to make that happen. [00:42:58] Speaker C: Well, what's your dealings with him? [00:43:04] Speaker E: I. I used to be a servant in his court. You know, entertainer. Do my. Do my song and dance. Like he wasn't too incredibly fond of it. But the rest, like his family was. [00:43:22] Speaker A: And [00:43:25] Speaker E: when the escaton happened, he just went more mad. And he picked all of the servants that he believed he saw was turned sanguar. And he tried to make them into soldiers. Like he. He imprisoned us. And I'm. Look at me. I'm not a soldier. I'm a silly idiot. [00:44:04] Speaker C: Well, that's no lie. But. What But. So you're on the run from him? Or is he looking for you? [00:44:17] Speaker A: Or. [00:44:18] Speaker E: A few of us were able to escape and. Yeah, he. He wants to make an example of us. [00:44:26] Speaker A: Oh. [00:44:31] Speaker D: I think Cass will step forward and she'll hold out her hand and say, you help me do what I need to do, and I will help you do what you need to do. [00:44:49] Speaker E: Griffin shakes your hand and says, I was always going to be here to help you with what you need to do, but now I've got a favor to ask in return. And Cooper. [00:45:06] Speaker A: Yeah? [00:45:06] Speaker F: Don't worry, man. I don't want to help that guy if. But if it's a way of finding out what's going on. [00:45:14] Speaker E: I mean, if. If Kickran. If Kick Frank contacts you. Just don't. Don't say anything about us. Don't say that. Like I. If Lord Sorrow doesn't know that we heard in on him, then we shouldn't be in too much trouble. We've. We've got the upper foot on him at the moment. [00:45:38] Speaker A: Sure. [00:45:42] Speaker B: Thanks, guys. [00:45:42] Speaker F: Yeah, we'll figure it out. Thanks for telling us. [00:45:51] Speaker E: Thanks. [00:45:52] Speaker F: It must have been pretty hard. [00:45:54] Speaker E: Yeah, it was. [00:46:00] Speaker A: So as the revel, as Griffin's revelation kind of occupies your minds as you carry on forwards, we let us have a quick glance at the maps. Because, yeah, a large group like the. The group of you are heading in a north westerly direction to. Let me just sort out Griffin's token. There you go. So pull you all through there. So, yes, the. The five of you, the six of you bring on heading in a north northwesterly direction. Oh, don't. And this is one. Cool. So having crossed. Crossed the river into the forested valley from Riceville Na, which you know, behind you, the five of you begin traveling. You cross over another river that Abe, you know, connects to a large, large lake to the north. And there is a. Like a passage through some low hills that will eventually lead you to the. To the terrain between you and the kind of mountainous area that Pfizer calls home. But as you kind of emerge from. Well, as you're traveling through the mountain like this hilly pass, and you emerge into a new, like area, the way we're gonna do this is the five of you each tell me one point of interest, one. One kind of interesting or exciting thing, place, location that you see. And then between the five of you, we then decide which of those directions is our journey, like, is our path. And yeah, we'll create. So we'll create this. This map fundamentally as we go. So with that in mind. Yeah. Who, like what. What is it? [00:48:45] Speaker C: You see, I think the first thing that he sees is a cliff face that he knows that is called the Singing Rocks, which has lots of like, holes in it that when the wind blows, like, it makes various sort of, sort of howling sounds. And it's like a very Tall rock face that has these natural holes throughout them. [00:49:26] Speaker A: That's cute. That's very cute. Okay, so we have the singing, singing rocks. Theo, where's. [00:49:38] Speaker F: I think kind of again, closer to like a kind of like a higher ground cliff edge. We see like a kind of beautiful waterfall of some description. I think that like heading back towards the water that you kind of have to walk under to go past it. Quite cavernous and like, I feel like the rock is quite shiny. Seems to glitter as the water reflects off it. It creates this kind of beautiful effect. Like a kind of like natural. Natural wonder, I guess. [00:50:27] Speaker A: Okay, very good. So a shiny, glittery walk underwater. Very nice. Nate, what does Griffin see? [00:50:38] Speaker E: I think Griffin will recognize the. The yellow fruit that Abe told him not to eat the first time we were in Riceville now, but they are growing in like a thick, like, like a really thick sort of area of vines and brambles. But you will also see some very sort of thin pathways that have been made like by some sort of animal that's been able to sort of traverse through the brambles quite easily and sort of clear, like thin paths through it. [00:51:17] Speaker A: Okay, so like thin animal tracks. [00:51:19] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:51:20] Speaker A: Okay. And like seeing these yellow fruit, perhaps with animal sized nibbles out of them. Do you, does that feel you like confidence or trepidation for the state of that animal? [00:51:39] Speaker E: A little bit of confidence, actually. I don't think Griffin felt too bad after he had them the first time around. [00:51:45] Speaker A: Okay, amazing. So, yeah, thick, thick, heavy vines with the yellow fruit, like the large yellow fruit. Georgia, what does Cass see? [00:51:58] Speaker D: I think Cass sees kind of through again like this thicker section of forest. There's a clearing that seems to be sort of completely leveled out. Even though it's on a bit of a hill, it's dead straight, completely flat and kind of coming out of this flat section of forest. You can't tell if they're standing stones as inflated there or kind of natural growths in the earth, but they're just in various spots and covered in vinyl. And you can't tell if this has been put here by keepers or if this is a natural growth. [00:52:36] Speaker A: Okay, how many standing stones are there, Cass? [00:52:41] Speaker D: Can't quite tell, but probably about seven or eight at bearing. [00:52:47] Speaker A: Okay, so just like a large, well, a flat area. So is it within the forest? Yeah, within some trees. Okay, so a forested area. Yeah. These standing zones, are they. Are they sort of like in some form of a shape or are they just sort of like in a circle? [00:53:06] Speaker D: Circle. So it could reasonably be assumed that they were Constructed, then it could also be a natural circle. [00:53:12] Speaker A: Okay. And last but not least, Tim, what does Gardi see? [00:53:19] Speaker B: I think to the north, kind of poking up through a stand of trees, are 10 or so enormous kind of seed pods almost, that are tethered to the ground by vines and are kind of floating and bobbing around in the breeze. They are roughly the size and appearance of hot air balloons. [00:53:46] Speaker A: Very cool. How. How high up are they floating? [00:53:52] Speaker B: Oh, probably about 50ft. [00:53:55] Speaker A: Oh, so very high up. [00:53:56] Speaker B: Yeah. And they've got a. A thick chunky vine from each of them that's seems to be connected. Connecting them to the ground in one way or another. [00:54:06] Speaker F: Okay. [00:54:07] Speaker A: Okay. So in which case. [00:54:11] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:54:11] Speaker A: In this kind of first leg of your journey. So I would imagine how, how far might you have traveled? I mean, let. Okay, let's imagine that within the first. Well, how far. How far is it? That is not helpful. [00:54:40] Speaker C: That far. [00:54:42] Speaker A: That far. So I, I would argue within the first kind of 25 of the. [00:54:49] Speaker B: Your journey. [00:54:50] Speaker A: You've. Like, from Riceville N through the forested valley, across the rivers. You've seen these five locations. The cliff face, the singing rocks. Zabe perhaps the singing rocks being that mountain pass or the, the. The hilly pass. So as you traverse between these kind of hills that rise up either side of you, you're kind of buff. Well, there's this almost kind of ambient chorus like a, like a wood. Like a woodwind orchestra kind of serenading you as you go along. Perhaps on the exit from the forested valley where you saw the two titans kind of dueling just over a day ago. Perhaps that's our underwater under waterfall area to kind of lead you, lead you from the valley onwards to the hills. Perhaps in the forested valley itself relatively near to Riceville narrative, perhaps suggesting why it was harvested for that meal. Griffin. The. We see the yellow fruit there kind of blossoming in the, in the, on the, the bushes and the trees of the valley. The, the flat forest with the, the standing stones marks, you know, that lies towards the, the exit of the, the the hills into sort of like, like into the planes that lead up to Fizer's, like Fizer's domain, if you will. And emerging from those flat forests for the standing stones, we see these tethered buoyant seeds like seed pods, just kind of gently swaying in the air. Between the five of you, where would we like to focus our attention on this leg of a journey? So the singing rocks, the underwater wall, the under the waterfall walkway, the yellow fruit vineyards, the standing stone. Flat standing stones in the forest or in the shadows of the floating seaports. Where would we like to zoom in? [00:57:30] Speaker C: I want to see the seapods. I hope they're big pinatas. Full of goodies. [00:57:40] Speaker E: Give them a poke. [00:57:43] Speaker A: Give them a poke. Are we any, anyone wanting anything else or are we, are we going for seapods? [00:57:51] Speaker B: Okay, sweet. [00:57:53] Speaker A: In which case we, yeah, we zoom in. As you like as you're passing under these. So, so Gardy, are they, you know, quite like nicely spherical in shape or are they, do they look more, you know, what comes natural? [00:58:18] Speaker B: I mean they're, they're relatively spherical, but it's clearly, they're clearly like a natural feature. They are. You know, there's some ridge, ridges and stuff that are quite organic and a couple of them look like they sort of have just the very start of some splits starting to form on them. [00:58:37] Speaker A: Okay. And the, like the landscape beneath them. Is it, is it kind of forested? Is it relatively open? Like what's, what's the area you're walking through looking like? [00:58:51] Speaker B: I reckon they're probably so where they've, where they've grown because of how they shade out everything else. They're sort of clearings of scrubby, relatively open ground under them. [00:59:06] Speaker A: Sure, sure. Okay, that sounds, that sounds very, very nice. In which case, as you're cut, you know, as you're walking under these, these floating seeds, these floating pods, Let's say, let's go with Nate. You, you noticed it most when you came out of the forest that had those kind of 7ish standing stones. But the, the temperature feels like it's notably dropped now that you've kind of moved out of the canopied area of the forest and you're in the open and you know, as you look up, you know these seeds are kind of floating around, they're kind of blocking out the sunlight to a certain extent, which, which doesn't help. But there, there just seems to be a, a much more notable chill on the air. And how do you think, how does that affect these floating ports? How is the, this, this unusual coldness affect the pods? [01:00:32] Speaker E: I'm not completely sure because Griffin's probably never seen anything like this before. So he's probably thinking like, is this normal? [01:00:39] Speaker A: I don't know, [01:00:42] Speaker E: but I would guess sort of like he would notice like a sort of like, you know, when you get that flow frost that can sometimes sort of melt down that like it's, he can see some, you can almost see some sort of like snowflake esque like patterns start to form on them. [01:01:02] Speaker A: Okay. So yes, Griffin, in which case, as you're looking up, you see this ice beginning to form. Like you, you wonder if it's like where the, the seapods are starting to split ever so slightly. Like they look like they're about to. Well, you, I mean, you don't know what happens if they do split. Do they flower? Do they explode and send seedlets everywhere? Like who. Who knows? But you do notice that there seem to be these almost like icicles hanging off them by the splits that glint a slightly kind of yellowish greenish color. And you, you acknowledge, oh, this is SAP that's coming like a sappy like substance that's coming out of them and then some like freezing before it gets a chance to trickle and drop off. But yeah, as you, as you look up and you see these icicles, there is a strong gust of frigid wind that kind of blasts the six of you. And it's strong enough that it rocks most of you back on your, like on your seats, on your saddles and on our snatches. [01:02:28] Speaker E: On our snaddles. [01:02:30] Speaker C: Sn. [01:02:36] Speaker A: On your snaddles. Yes. And it's, it's enough where Abe, who's leading the. Leading this line of snatchers, it causes your snatch to sort of like rear up slightly at the sudden, sudden cold. And as you like Griffin, as you look up, you watch as this gust of wind blows all of the seeds and they sort of like bounce against each other as the vines kind of hold on to one another. But I will need. I would need everyone. Well as, as the seeds kind of collide into one another, these brittle SAP like icicles begin breaking off and plummeting down towards you like frozen arrows from overhead. So starting so our drivers, so starting with Abe. How are you? What are you doing? To help guide you and Cooper out of harm's way from this like rain of frozen frozen saddle. [01:03:54] Speaker C: I think he. Where he's gonna try and control the Snatcher, get it back on track whilst he throws his shield to Cooper to use as a cover, an umbrella. [01:04:17] Speaker A: Okay. Okay, fine. [01:04:20] Speaker C: Dragon skin. [01:04:21] Speaker A: Which. So are you. So. Well, which ability would you like to use? An ability to control the Snatcher, I [01:04:29] Speaker C: think ability to control the Snatcher. So be strength. [01:04:33] Speaker A: Okay. [01:04:34] Speaker C: To rear that Snatcher. [01:04:36] Speaker A: Okay. [01:04:37] Speaker C: Out of the way. [01:04:39] Speaker A: Okay. In which case, yeah, please roll me a. A strength and strength check. This will be full blown roll for Snatcher. And obviously use an experience. If you think you've got one that works, let me know if you do. [01:04:55] Speaker C: I mean I could use self sufficient as he is very Good at looking after himself and his Snatcher. [01:05:06] Speaker E: Yeah. [01:05:07] Speaker A: Okay. If you're happy to spend in the hope, then I'll. [01:05:11] Speaker C: Let's do it. That is a 23 with fear. [01:05:20] Speaker A: Okay, so that bumps you down to three hope. Yeah, that's correct. Okay, 23 with fear. You manage to wrench the reigns on the sna. What? Tell you what. Living. You made them. What does a Snatcher sound like? [01:05:44] Speaker C: Sort of a bit warbly. Like a. Kind of like. [01:05:52] Speaker F: You asked for this, Dan. [01:05:58] Speaker B: When's it ever gone well when you've asked for sound. Understand? [01:06:03] Speaker C: Well, it's like. It's like. What would a badger sound like? It was full of snail, you know. [01:06:15] Speaker A: Okay. But it's a little bit wobbly. [01:06:17] Speaker C: Yeah, wobbly. [01:06:19] Speaker A: So it's like a. [01:06:22] Speaker C: It's not like a wookie. [01:06:23] Speaker A: It's not a wookie. Okay. [01:06:25] Speaker E: That would be Sid. [01:06:27] Speaker C: Stupid Daniel. [01:06:29] Speaker A: Okay. [01:06:30] Speaker C: Snaer. [01:06:33] Speaker A: So as you wrench your snare, it makes his warbling flemmy sound as you kind of wrench it to the left. I will. The. So you manage to do it. The. You throw your shield up to Cooper and Cooper you're able to sort of like bring your. Bring the shield up and hold it over. It's. It's surprising. Would you say? It's surprisingly heavy, Cooper giving us an Abe size shield. [01:07:09] Speaker F: I. I mean I wouldn't say it's. Well, it's gonna be heavy surely, because it is an ape size shield shield. But yeah, yeah, like no matter what, it's. It's like holding up a big door or something. It's certainly heavy. I think he's able to balance it though. Like, like, like standing on top of this stale holding the store. Like jeez. [01:07:37] Speaker A: In which case. Yeah, you're able to bring it up and sort of like you hear the sound. It sounds like heavy hail is just like raining down on the shield. But it's when you hear this sound of almost like splintering wood. And like as you look up and you see this, the tip of one of these kind of frozen SAP icicles just like inches from the end of your snout. And you like in the moment as you pull the shield away, you realize that it's been skewered. Buy this shield and it will now need some repair before like if you hand it back to Abe in the state it's in, it's gonna have like a fist sized hole that someone can poke Abe through. Yeah. The shield is fundamentally damaged. We'll need. We'll need some repairing. [01:08:28] Speaker C: I lend you my shield and what do you do the first minute you get it? [01:08:33] Speaker A: You know what? I'll represent this by saying, abe, please remove two armor slots. [01:08:41] Speaker C: Two? [01:08:42] Speaker A: Two? [01:08:43] Speaker C: I have hardly any slots. [01:08:48] Speaker F: Remind me of your armor slot down again. [01:08:52] Speaker C: Only like 10 or so. [01:08:55] Speaker D: Only 10? [01:08:57] Speaker C: How does he go to heaven? Actually, that doesn't sound right. I should have more than that. Oh, it's cuz my shield isn't equipped anymore. [01:09:08] Speaker A: That's. That's good. It's got a big hole in it now. [01:09:11] Speaker C: It's already happened. I've unequipped my shield because it wasn't equipped in the first lesson. That adds two armor slots. [01:09:16] Speaker A: So are you normally 12? [01:09:19] Speaker C: No, it currently says seven on my sheet. I should be more than that. I should be nine. [01:09:23] Speaker A: Yeah, okay. Yes, you're so fundamentally, your ship shield is bust until you get a chance to repair it. Who's Gardy? You're second in the queue. How are you avoiding this, like, hail of ice spikes? [01:09:45] Speaker B: Right, here's thing number one I'm gonna do is I'm gonna talk to my Snatcher. When your snatch is panicking, chat to your Snatcher you do. So we'll have a little. I'll have a little snatch chat with Snatcher, love with Nature's Tongue. [01:10:06] Speaker E: Can we change Titan talks to snatch chat now. [01:10:11] Speaker B: Oh, and can I use my Nomad experience as I have spent lots of time riding about on Beast of Verdun. [01:10:18] Speaker A: Yeah, no, absolutely. [01:10:20] Speaker B: Absolutely sweet. Thank you very much. Yeah, [01:10:30] Speaker E: Always nice. [01:10:33] Speaker B: So I'm just gonna be like, [01:10:38] Speaker C: keep [01:10:38] Speaker B: your head down and keep going, Snadgy. I don't know if his name is Snaji, but that's what I've called him. And then I'm gonna. If I. If I may also I would like to beast form into my armored sentry format, which I think I said was a tortoise, but yeah, she got me a tortoise. Yes. I considered a smaller griffin. [01:11:07] Speaker F: What's happening? [01:11:09] Speaker A: All I've heard is just you go and then just turn into a tort. [01:11:14] Speaker B: And then I like, I leap towards you and in the air going, tortoise mode. And I'm just gonna like squat on top of griffin as a tortoise and I just make fierce eye contact. [01:11:33] Speaker C: So no one's riding the Snatcher. It's just. [01:11:35] Speaker B: They're all riding the Snatcher. But I'm trusting him. I'm putting it. It's in God's hands now. [01:11:44] Speaker A: So. Okay, which ability are you using here, Gardy? [01:11:51] Speaker B: I don't know. I did a Nature's Tongue roll. I Don't know if that helps, [01:11:56] Speaker A: dear. The nature's tongue. Well, that will allow you to give snadgy commands. [01:12:01] Speaker B: Okay. Sweet. [01:12:02] Speaker A: That's for sure. [01:12:05] Speaker D: What. [01:12:05] Speaker A: So sorry, what was your command? To Snaggy [01:12:09] Speaker B: to keep his head down and keep going. [01:12:12] Speaker A: Okay. So. Okay. 20 with Hope. You know what? Will you. We will use that because I think if that had gone wrong, snad, you would either not move or move what? Far too quickly and erratically for anyone. Ones for anyone's benefit. Okay, so Griffin. Yeah. You hear Guardi make warbling flemmy noises to your to the snagio riding then transforms into this kind of gray shelled gray grayscale horned turtle leaps upon you. And I mean there. There is a rumor that snatchers can't look up, but this natural does remarkably well to avoid the majority of like of the. The incoming incoming danger. Yeah. 20 with hope. That is absolutely fine. And I believe that takes you back up to 4 hope. Cool. Very, very good. So Abe. Well, Cooper, you watch as gardy and well, a griffin and a turtle go yolloping past you on their snaja. Finally, Cass, you're on the back of your snadger having just watched griffin go tearing off. How. How are you protecting yourself and Coraline? [01:13:44] Speaker D: See, I have natural climber, which means I have advantage on agility. Roles involve balancing and climbing, which I think I am probably balanced on this. And that's a good question. I don't have much going on by way of protecting myself from spikes. [01:14:06] Speaker A: Let's put on some. Let's put on some aggressive battle music that'll set the scene. So. Yes. Well, so you're. You're relatively well balanced. So you can see. I mean I don't. I wouldn't. I wouldn't go so far as to say this looks like the end of 300 and it's not like this wall of the icicles heading towards you. But certainly like I. I can imagine these floating seeds are large enough that there's enough kind of drip and SAP that there's a worrying amount of kind of rapidly descending spikes in your. [01:14:39] Speaker D: I. I have because I don't know how to use this new UI internally yet. I do have the explode outward ability. The. [01:14:51] Speaker A: The preservation blast. [01:14:54] Speaker D: Yes, that is probably the one. I can preservation blast this SAP away from us. [01:15:01] Speaker A: Okay. So we'll put that in your loadout. Okay. Okay. So in which case, yeah, if you want to use that. We. I think we can absolutely say that Coraline kind of goes to gun it and then you're able to Sort of like deflect any shards that are about to impale you, Coraline, or your snadger, in which case, yeah, if you roll me a, roll me a spellcast check, there's no need in actually using the actual preservation blast because all we need to know is that it deflects it. It blasts things away from you. [01:15:43] Speaker D: That is before I do the wrong one. That is insight. [01:15:46] Speaker A: Your. Your is insight. Correct. [01:15:51] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:15:51] Speaker A: And absolutely use experiences if you so wish. [01:15:57] Speaker D: Hard headed. [01:16:01] Speaker C: I'm headbutting these spikes spend too much time with Abe. [01:16:05] Speaker A: Yeah, Okay. And 19 with hope. Perfect. So you tick up a hope, I believe, to four. Yeah, that's correct. Okay. In which case, yeah, 19 with Hope also passes. So perhaps following suit, with Griffin and Gardi's snare in front of you, Coraline sort of like whips the reins and the Snatcher moves with a surprising accelerated speed. And using your kind of native a Suvari like sense of balance, you're able to sort like. Are you currently side scarce saddle or are you just kind of raw dogging this massive shell Saddle. [01:16:59] Speaker C: Sorry. She chooses not to answer that. Dan, [01:17:05] Speaker A: Are you, are you, are you demurely side saddling on the back of his saddle? [01:17:11] Speaker D: I think instance of reservations last week. She's. He's jumped up on. He's balancing. She's surfing. [01:17:18] Speaker A: Are you legolasing it? [01:17:20] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:17:21] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. In which case, in which case, Abe and Cooper, you watch as both snatchers tear past you. Griffin apparent appears to be holding a. A turtle like a large tortoise over his head with. With like falling SAP spikes ricocheting off his shoulders shell. And on the other side of you, you, Cooper, you spy like Cassandre. I I, I'm imagining almost like a spider man, like spread legged, one hand down and you're just sort like space invadering these spikes. [01:18:00] Speaker E: One looks so much cooler than the other one. [01:18:02] Speaker A: Which one it is, you really do. [01:18:05] Speaker D: Clearly it's the circle. [01:18:11] Speaker A: Yes. You're. You're able to kind of successfully deflect any of the, the blasts that look like they're gonna rain down on you, Cass. Yeah, 19 with hope. That is more than enough. And the three of you manage to sort of like make it like as you, as you sort of like move forward, the, the gust of wind just seemingly kind of gets stronger. Abe, where you're, where you're sort of like trying to still man your like control your snare like you can. It almost feels like flecks of tiny hail just kind of being buffeted into your face. But as you sort of like wince at this sudden kind of blast of Arctic wind. You emerge from out of the shadow of these pods, Guardi, where you're being kind of held aloft by Griffin, but you're facing backwards. You see that the winds that have kind of blown through this area were so violent that one of the pods, like the vines tethering it down, rips. And it just begins to sort like slowly drift or quickly drift away, carried by the cold wind. And who knows where that pod is going to arrive. If I manage to somehow make that thing relevant in the finale, I will. I will give myself a pat on [01:19:30] Speaker C: the back, Destroy Darla Charles all over again. [01:19:37] Speaker A: Yes. As this. As this kind of. As you watch as this seapod kind of gets carried away, the chill around you suddenly kind of dissipates and dies down and it immediately feels balmier, like the. The temperatures returning to normal. Yeah. As the six of you kind of glance over your shoulders, you can almost see this, like, wall of cold frigid wind kind of moving its way across the landscape. And Abe, this is certainly not a weather occurrence that you have ever experienced on. On like here. Well, is it? It might be more familiar, more similar to the weather before the eschaton, back when this area was mountainous. [01:20:30] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:20:30] Speaker A: And quite high up. But. Yeah. Ever since the more tropical relocation, more palmy relocation. Yeah. You've not seen anything like this and. And you can't help but wonder, well, who's. Who's kind of perturbed by the weather enough to have a little think about it. To have a little chat about it. [01:20:55] Speaker C: Have a little think about it. [01:20:58] Speaker B: I'm quite perturbed. [01:21:00] Speaker A: I'm quite perturbed. [01:21:02] Speaker F: I think we're all quite perturbed, to be honest. [01:21:05] Speaker C: A little bit. Did she wear. [01:21:08] Speaker D: I'm perturbed about everything. [01:21:10] Speaker C: I'm ave's perturbed that there's a hole in the shield. That's what's perturbing Abe. I like to think that it's finished and then it's. The icicle has melted, so there's just a hole. So he doesn't know what happened other than he gave a shield to Cooper. He turns around and now there's a hole in it. [01:21:33] Speaker F: I. This is caused by the SAP. Caused by the SAP. [01:21:36] Speaker C: Wasn't. [01:21:36] Speaker F: Wasn't. Whatever that thing was, where's it gone? [01:21:39] Speaker C: Then? What did you do? [01:21:40] Speaker A: It's melted. [01:21:47] Speaker F: I'm very grateful. I'm sorry. Can I. Can I. Let me see if I can fix it. Can I fix it? I Would like to spend time down fixing the shield. Well, whilst the traveling thing. If I. If I. Oh, have you got a [01:22:01] Speaker C: lot of skills in garden gates? [01:22:05] Speaker F: I'm not an idiot. [01:22:08] Speaker E: You. [01:22:08] Speaker F: I'm an idiot, but I'm not one. [01:22:11] Speaker A: Well, what I will say is, as the. Like as you. As the three. The six of you kind of fall back into like a marching order again. And all the. The other four of you. You can hear Abe chastising Cooper from the lead Snatcher about this hole he's put in his shield. Yeah. The Enough time has passed that you notice that the sun is now definitively beginning to set on the horizon that you're moving towards. And it would seem that the. The. A moment to take a breather is quickly approaching. Let's go with. Tell you what. I'm gonna. I'm gonna really make this random. Abe, that makes sense. As you're at the front, describe to me the area that the six of you stop in to make camp for the night. [01:23:26] Speaker C: I think it's kind of like a natural sort of basin within. So we sort of get out and. And then there's sort of like a sort of little basin within this sort of plane that we've come out onto. And it looks sort of perfect as a sort of little indent against any wind that we could maybe sort of sit in. And he kind of points it out and he goes, well, the Snatchers will need to settle down, I think, and we've got my shield to repair. And once. I think it's probably a good time to start before we get any crazy weather again. Am I right? [01:24:14] Speaker F: Yeah. Am into that. [01:24:17] Speaker A: Okay. [01:24:20] Speaker C: Smooth little snager. Come on, Babs. [01:24:24] Speaker A: In which case. Yeah. As you all begin to dismount and begin setting up camp, aided by some of the supplies that we're giving to you by the keepers of Riceville. N You. Any of you who are looking not in a northwesterly direction to your location. Well, I. I can imagine. Abe, you're like. Abe, are you. Are you looking ahead to your destination or are you busy? More busy making camp? [01:24:57] Speaker C: Oh, he's. No, he's making. Making fire. Finding soup. [01:25:02] Speaker A: They packed soup somewhere in one of these Snatcher compartments. [01:25:08] Speaker C: I put some snoop around here somewhere. I don't know. Put it somewhere. [01:25:13] Speaker A: Who is looking for. Looking ahead to. To your destination? [01:25:20] Speaker D: I think probably Cass is doing that quite intently. [01:25:24] Speaker A: Is anyone joining Cass, In which case. Yeah, Cooper, you. You spy. Use by castle. Like on the periphery of the camp, let's say, looking in the north northwesterly direction and as you kind of follow her gaze to the horizon, the. You can see what appears to be a mountain range. Like, laid out. Laid out in front. I say. I use mountain very generously there. Like they're very, very tall hills kind of thing. But for a moment, it doesn't look all that unusual to see these kind of white peaked mountains. Mountain like structures jutting up on the horizon. I mean, seeing snow. Snow peaked mountains is quite normal if you weren't acutely aware of the significantly warmer climate that you're supposed to be in. And you instinctively shiver as this like, cold breeze kind of seemingly blows through you for a moment. No, don't like that, Dan. Try again. Cooper, now played by Percy the Cat. I'm sorry. [01:27:10] Speaker F: It's the only way to get him from not biting me during the performance. [01:27:13] Speaker A: I'm so sorry. [01:27:16] Speaker F: I sensed it. I sensed it coming. I was like, I've got to do it before we actually do start the. [01:27:23] Speaker A: But Cassia, you. You hear like. You hear Cooper approach and then let out this. As this cold wind kind of blows through the both of you. Yeah. What. What. What conversation are we zooming in on as you both stare westwards? [01:27:48] Speaker D: Haven't journeyed like this in a while. [01:27:52] Speaker F: Yeah. This feels very big, doesn't it? [01:27:59] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:28:02] Speaker D: Been well over a decade since we tried climbing mountains and fighting the cold. [01:28:13] Speaker F: So it's not supposed to be cold here, is it? [01:28:17] Speaker D: No, that'll be Wild Spirits. That means we're getting close. [01:28:22] Speaker C: Let's get. [01:28:24] Speaker F: It doesn't feel very good. But this is the right thing to do. [01:28:32] Speaker D: Of course it is. It's the right thing to do. Before all of this happened and now doubly stone. So. [01:28:42] Speaker F: Yeah, of course. Look, Cass, can I ask. [01:28:48] Speaker C: What? [01:28:50] Speaker F: Why do you want to talk to them? [01:28:55] Speaker D: I want them to tell me something. And they will. I've always been persuasive. [01:29:03] Speaker F: There's no arguments there. [01:29:08] Speaker D: Have you ever heard from my family since we. You know. [01:29:16] Speaker F: I mean, I think I had a very brief but concerning letter from your mother. But apart from that, which I did reply to, by the way. I told her that this was happening, but, you know, to keep in touch and I'd come visit and it doesn't have to be awkward, but I never heard anything back, so. Didn't reach out again. [01:29:46] Speaker D: They vanished. All of them. [01:29:51] Speaker A: What? [01:29:52] Speaker D: After the eschaton. And not in the usual way that my family vanishes. You know how they do things. Nobody even stayed to look after the archives or the library or anything. It was just me. And of this. And so I'm going to find a wild spirit and I'm going to ask it what happened? And it will tell me, and everything will be okay again. [01:30:22] Speaker F: Why didn't you say something? [01:30:26] Speaker D: I'm saying it now. [01:30:29] Speaker F: No, I don't mean now. I mean back then. [01:30:34] Speaker D: Not seen you in, what, 13 years? [01:30:39] Speaker F: No, I know that, but it doesn't mean I didn't want to. It's fine. I'm sorry. I'm sorry you had to deal with it. [01:30:55] Speaker D: Well, thank you for coming along. Even if it was to do something stupid. [01:31:05] Speaker F: Hey, you know me. I'm full of stupid. [01:31:09] Speaker D: Some things don't change. [01:31:15] Speaker F: Cass. One more thing. Your magic. When that started happening, did. Did anything else happen first? Like, were there warning signs? I don't know. Ever since the Esco fight, something weird's been going on with me, and I don't know what it is. Maybe talk about it at some point. [01:31:45] Speaker D: Yeah, no, that. I didn't, but. And you see, like, a glint of the interest that you used to see whenever something new came up. We'll keep an eye on it. [01:31:58] Speaker F: I'll explain later, but I just want to. I don't want to keep secrets. I promise. Like, I know Abe gave me a hard time. I really am not that kind of guy. I just. I don't know what's going on. [01:32:14] Speaker D: I know you've never been a bad guy. [01:32:19] Speaker F: A stupid one. [01:32:20] Speaker A: Sure. [01:32:23] Speaker F: Thanks, Cass. [01:32:28] Speaker A: As the. As cooper peels away from cass, We skip forward a few, like a short while to later in the night. A campfire is roaring and keeping you warm as the night becomes more and more oppressively cold as the hours press on. And you're not entirely sure whether it's the. The. The. The temperature that makes you feel as kind of achy and drained as you are. But there is a moment when you acknowledge it has been quite some time since you have had a long rest. And you feel that you will have to have a long. So as we prepare for our long rest, because short rests are. There are no more short rests to be had in this adventuring day, if you will. We will jump on a quick break. When we come back, we will go through what it is that you're doing all on your long rests. And then we'll continue on our journey towards Fizer's lair. So we will be back in 10 minutes. I will. Apparently, YouTube is working again. But, I mean, we're. We're happy and cozy here on Twitch. Yeah. If you are interested in what's happening, I don't need to talk about YouTube right now. Well, actually, I do. If you're interested the like Button. Subscribe on YouTube. Follow us on Twitch. Join our discord. The link is in the description. And yeah, with all that said, we'll be back in 10 minutes. Catch everyone in a bit. Hello and welcome back everyone to Explorers of Elsewhere live. Hello. Hi, welcome. I am DM Dan. We are the Explorers where we are playing the Titan Isles, the third campaign in the Explorers Elsewhere series using the Dagger Heart rule set. [01:34:58] Speaker D: Hurrah. [01:35:01] Speaker A: We are rejoining our heroes who are coming to a rest at the end of the first leg of their journey across the titular Titan Isles. Having recently left the the village of Riceville Gnar, our heroes find themselves part of the way across the island's surface as they make their way towards the lair of Pfizer, one of the world spirits known as Tight. World spirits that reside here on the island, locally known as one of the Titans. And yes, as this like, as everyone kind of settles in for their long rest in quite a while because you. You lot have been busy since your last long rest. We need to go around the houses pauses and figure out what everyone's doing in their long rests. So let's start with. I'm gonna spice things up. Let's start with Nate. What is Griffin doing on the long rest? And I believe you. So if you're healing, de stressing or armoring, it just goes to max, I believe. And you can do three things. Does that sound about right? 105. [01:36:37] Speaker C: I've got two things on my long rest sheet on Foundry. [01:36:42] Speaker A: It might still be two each and it just. You just maximize it. I'm just frantically flicking whatever. Whatever that absolute star Captain Cosmo has scripted into Foundryborn is most likely and max. [01:36:56] Speaker C: And [01:36:59] Speaker B: yeah, it says in the thing. Yeah, it's two actions and you max it out. Except for hope, which is the same amount as a short rest. [01:37:06] Speaker A: Sure, sure, sure. In which case, yes. So starting with night, which two activities are you doing on your long rest? Oh, I think you're muted, Nate. [01:37:20] Speaker E: There we go. [01:37:20] Speaker A: There's our beautiful boy. [01:37:24] Speaker E: I am definitely going to clear stress. [01:37:28] Speaker A: I'm very stressed out. [01:37:31] Speaker E: Griffin's had a bit of a 48 hours and I think he just needs to say. Yeah, I think he's. He's just gonna. He's gonna whack out some of his favorite tunes now that he feels like he's in a bit more of a safer space. Definitely. [01:37:48] Speaker A: Wonderful, isn't it? Griffin strikes me as a. A surprise wonder waller. [01:37:55] Speaker E: A surprise wonder Waller, [01:37:58] Speaker C: he's just. He's just. [01:37:59] Speaker E: He's gonna play like some tunes he thinks that everyone else will like. He's gonna play like some very. Almost like some very sort of like. Almost like lullabies in a way, but not to sound too childish, to sort of help every. Everyone else sort of de stress, but majority dust just to de stress himself. [01:38:21] Speaker A: Sure. [01:38:23] Speaker E: So I will clear stress. And would anyone want to prepare anything? Because I could always do with a bit more hope. [01:38:32] Speaker C: I'll prepare with you. [01:38:36] Speaker B: The dream. [01:38:37] Speaker E: It's finally happened. [01:38:43] Speaker A: Okay, so you're preparing. So that'll be. So you each gain two hope. Okay, Grant, So yeah, if you take up your two hope, and then they would just remember that one of yours was a. Was a prepare as well. Tell you what, let's jump across to Abe. So we know you're preparing, so you're gonna gain two hope as well. What else is. Is good old able Rick doing? [01:39:09] Speaker C: It depends if Cooper's gonna repair my armor or his own. If he's got my shield. [01:39:17] Speaker A: I'll tell you what. As Theo has fled for the hills, [01:39:22] Speaker D: it would seem a cat situation. [01:39:27] Speaker A: Okay. A cat crisis. Okay, we'll tell you what. Let's jump across to guardi. What's G's 3? I believe with your cuz he has your selections. [01:39:41] Speaker B: Yeah, man, I'm chill. Oh, I don't have much to do. I'm like. I'm pretty. Pretty spic and spun. Would anybody like to prepare with GI today? Cool. [01:40:02] Speaker D: Castle, prepare with Guardi. [01:40:05] Speaker A: Cool. All right. [01:40:05] Speaker B: Sweet. [01:40:06] Speaker D: We've got to have a plan for when they get to the big ice mama. [01:40:10] Speaker B: Yes. What to do when big big mummy attack, big mummy happen. Cool. So, yeah, I'll prep. I'll prep with Cass. I guess I'll clear my last stress point and I guess I'll work on a project. [01:40:33] Speaker A: Okay. [01:40:34] Speaker B: I'll start. I'll start figuring out how to prepare a base for the God fixing ointment. [01:40:45] Speaker A: Okay. Okay, so you're working on. So Gardi is working on the anti arcane crystallization salve or whatever is you're planning on doing to Pfizer when you get there. [01:41:05] Speaker B: Yes. [01:41:07] Speaker A: Okay, how. I mean, what. What does that. What is that looking like? [01:41:20] Speaker B: Is it. [01:41:20] Speaker A: Is it herbal? Alchemical? Kind of. [01:41:25] Speaker B: I think it's kind of herbal, but it's at the moment, because we don't have the, like the. The key herb that we need. It's just like. It involves a lot of like, oils and like, just mixing it together with a bit of like, Fat from a creature that we stabbed at some point. Yeah. Just creating like a nice. A nice goop face and letting it like fester for a bit so that it's. It's in a good. It's. It's in a good condition to use. [01:41:57] Speaker A: Sure. Okay. Very good. Very, very good. So you are. You're working on that. What. Which ability I'll be rolling out for that, do we reckon? [01:42:14] Speaker C: I don't. [01:42:14] Speaker B: I don't know. [01:42:18] Speaker C: Be. [01:42:19] Speaker B: I mean, I love an instinct. [01:42:21] Speaker C: Or instinct. [01:42:22] Speaker B: It might be a knowledge or a finesse. [01:42:26] Speaker C: Or finesse. Because that's tinkering, isn't it? [01:42:28] Speaker B: Yeah, it is tinkering. Probably a finesse, yeah. [01:42:31] Speaker A: Are you finessing it? That's fine. [01:42:33] Speaker B: I'll. I'll finesse it. And I will add my herbalist ability, which I got rid of. No, [01:42:46] Speaker A: I've forgotten everything I know about herbalism. [01:42:50] Speaker C: Just throw that out the window. [01:42:55] Speaker B: I will ask the DM kindly and sweetly for an ancient wisdom bonus. [01:43:00] Speaker E: Sure. [01:43:01] Speaker B: Yay. [01:43:02] Speaker A: Thank you. [01:43:07] Speaker B: It's 12 I would fear. I'm afraid. [01:43:15] Speaker C: I'm afraid. I'm making it till I'm afraid. [01:43:19] Speaker A: Okay. [01:43:21] Speaker B: Ripley is just judging me. [01:43:25] Speaker A: And is that with your. That's with the experience, isn't it? Yeah. Okay, so 12 with fear. Let me create a new clock and it's called Guardi's Cure. So let me go ahead and show that to everyone. So let's make it a. Let's make it a four clock. And you're 12 with fear. [01:44:04] Speaker C: Yeah, I think so. 12 of fear. It's a good roll. Top roll. [01:44:13] Speaker A: I don't think it is, realistically. I mean, what. [01:44:19] Speaker B: Yeah, what if it is? [01:44:22] Speaker A: But it could be. [01:44:24] Speaker C: But it could be. [01:44:25] Speaker A: Would you like to. Have you spent your rally dice? [01:44:31] Speaker C: No, we should probably do that before Outlook. [01:44:34] Speaker B: No, I need to. [01:44:35] Speaker A: I need to see this one. It's one per session, so perhaps Griffin. Griffin is somehow helping. [01:44:44] Speaker E: Music in the background. [01:44:45] Speaker B: Exactly. It's chilling me out. I'm feeling more relaxed, which allows me to do an additional. [01:44:51] Speaker A: Because what you're. What you're finding, somewhat worryingly, Guardi, is that maybe it's the. The ambient temperature, but like the. The base that you're trying to kind of mix together, but you haven't got all the right ingredients that you would normally have had to have hand at home. But then it, like, maybe it's for coal, but like things just aren't meshing together properly. Yeah. Go ahead and truck your rally. Die on if you want. [01:45:20] Speaker B: What's my. What's the rally Die. Is it still D4? [01:45:23] Speaker E: It is a D6. [01:45:25] Speaker A: It's D8 now, isn't it? [01:45:26] Speaker E: Oh, it's D8 now, actually, yeah. Level five. [01:45:36] Speaker A: 15 you've just rolled. [01:45:38] Speaker E: Can I also add on to that my maestro ability now? [01:45:42] Speaker A: Which is. [01:45:43] Speaker E: Which is your rally song. Steals the courage of those who listen. When you give a rally die to an ally, they can gain a hope or clear a stress. Okay, so if you need any hope. There you go. [01:45:57] Speaker A: That refunds your ancient wisdom. Okay, so if you tick your hope back up, that should take you back to four, I believe. Very good, Very good. So. Oh, you're up to six, apparently. [01:46:12] Speaker B: Yeah, I. I just chucked the. The prepare on as well. [01:46:15] Speaker A: The prepare on. Yes, of course. Of course. Okay, so you're. You're tanked out. Um, but that plus three will take you to a 15 with fear. Um, which, like, as you. You take a moment like, it's. It's not. It's not combining. It's not mixing together. Something's got. Something's not right. But as you take a moment to listen to Griffin's. Like Griffin's music, it gives you that kind of space to think and kind of take a moment to. To kind of relax enough so that when you turn back to the tincture, you realize that there's an ingredient that you haven't added. And adding that in a 15 will just get you over the line. So if a success with fear, I believe, is one segment. So we are now up to one of four. [01:47:13] Speaker D: Nice. [01:47:16] Speaker A: Very good, Very good. So. So that is Gardi. All sorted. What is Cass doing? Barking. [01:47:35] Speaker D: Cass will work on a project. [01:47:39] Speaker A: Okay. [01:47:41] Speaker D: Is she allowed to assist Gadi or. [01:47:44] Speaker A: Yeah, if you want to. To chip in with the Guardi's cure clock. You can work on that as well. Which. Which ability are you using? [01:47:57] Speaker D: Cass will use her knowledge, I suppose. [01:48:01] Speaker C: Okay. [01:48:01] Speaker A: A lot of. [01:48:02] Speaker D: She's well researched. She's done a lot of traveling. [01:48:06] Speaker B: I'm pretty stupid. [01:48:12] Speaker A: Amazing. In which case. Yeah, knowledge, by all means, put on pop on your experience. Roll them bones. Okay. A 13 with hope. Would you like to use your rally? [01:48:37] Speaker D: I will use my rally. [01:48:38] Speaker E: Dad, Griffin's playing some good lo fi at the moment. [01:48:41] Speaker A: At the moment. [01:48:46] Speaker E: To study and sort a cure for. [01:48:47] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:48:49] Speaker B: Don't forget the vinegar. [01:48:54] Speaker A: You may have a D8. [01:48:56] Speaker D: D8. Let me find. Where are the dice? Where have the dice gone? Where have they died? [01:49:04] Speaker E: Right. Bottom. [01:49:08] Speaker C: It's not very nice to call Georgia. [01:49:11] Speaker A: All right. Bomb. Oh. [01:49:16] Speaker D: How do you know? They are connect by everyone's actor Icons. Is there a way to just move it? [01:49:27] Speaker A: Yes. I mean, if you. If you trusted me, I can roll the D8 for you or if you can get to the chat. If you do slash R space D8. That should run. [01:49:37] Speaker D: I trust you to roll with the eight. [01:49:38] Speaker A: Okay. Foolish. A foolish endeavor. Oh, no. A fantastic endeavor. A 19 with hope. So you have already given the whole hope automatically, so that's good. And 19 with hope is a success with hope, which is two segments on the progress clock. So I will stipulate now that with Net Guardi. As you pass over the. The base of the. Of the. Kind of a salve to Cassandra. She's a. Cassandra is then able to kind of do her kind of magic bit on it to kind of charge and get it ready. It wouldn't. We will not be able to complete this final segment until we have the prerequisite ingredients to finish the potion. So that will become something that you have to find before you can finish the cure. But congratulations. Between the two of you, for all except and purposes, you have. You've got an almost complete cure that you'll need to hopefully kind of cure Pfizer's corruption crystallization with. So you've done a project Cass, what's your other activity? [01:51:02] Speaker D: That's a good question. [01:51:05] Speaker E: Would anyone like pair with. [01:51:07] Speaker D: Yes. [01:51:10] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah. In which case, if you chuck your hope up by two, and I believe that takes you to six. [01:51:19] Speaker D: Yes, I have all of. All of the hope. [01:51:23] Speaker A: Okay, turn that off. Okay. What about Abe? So you're preparing with Griffin. [01:51:39] Speaker C: I'm preparing with Griffin, but I was gonna ask if Cooper is repairing my shield or if he needs. [01:51:46] Speaker F: No, I. I will. I will prepare. I will repair your shield. [01:51:48] Speaker C: Okay. [01:51:49] Speaker F: Sorry, I was going to say that earlier, but I was dealing with. [01:51:51] Speaker C: That's all right. [01:51:52] Speaker F: No, no difficulties. [01:51:55] Speaker C: So. So he's already pairing with Griffin. So the other thing you'll do is he'll just tend his wounds, so. Because he's got some hit points missing. [01:52:04] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. So, yeah, if you bump your hope up to max, I believe, and your sort your HP out. Marvelous. Marvelous. And lastly, Cooper, what are your two activities? Repairing Abe's armor, by the sounds of it. [01:52:23] Speaker F: Yep. So he will, very tense, positively, and actually with quite a lot of care, fix Abe's shield. And I'm imagining he's. Because I. I'm imagining with the armor that we got given, because of the way that Cooper's is fitted, I'm imagining. I can't remember the term for it. [01:52:44] Speaker A: That. [01:52:44] Speaker F: That kind of like Japanese, like How they put the gold in the cracks of stuff. [01:52:49] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:52:49] Speaker F: I feel like he's basically doing that with the damage to Abe shield. And it actually looks quite well done. It looks almost like a design. But he. He very tentatively works on that all evening. And I think it's because he wants to show Abe he does respect his opinion. It's. It's his kind of way of apologizing, because he understands that Abe is a person who likes actions over words. He's, like, understood that. So he is making sure that Abe shield is to the best of his ability. And he. You know, he's worked on his own armor before. It's not something he's out. Is out of the wheelhouse. And it's a bit pleasurable to just sit and work away and have something he can control. He can't seem to control anything else right now. So this is quite nice for him. And other than that, he will be clearing his. His health because for some reason, he still has two hit points down. I can't remember why. So that'll be so, you know, bandaging up any old wounds that still needs to be cared for and focusing on Abe's shield. [01:54:00] Speaker A: Okay. Very, very good. Very good. In which case, as you. So you heal up, you repair Abe's shield. As. After you finished. Well, are there any. Are there any conversations or any moments that we would like to highlight. Anyone would like to highlight for their characters? [01:54:26] Speaker B: I wouldn't mind a little natter with. With Griffin once people started wandering off to bed. [01:54:33] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely. Where does Gardy find Griffin? [01:54:39] Speaker E: Griffin's probably still sitting by the fire, still playing along, Just. Just playing either to himself or anyone's around. [01:54:46] Speaker A: Sure. [01:54:51] Speaker B: I'll just. Yeah. Perch myself on a. On a rock nearby me. Like, feel you. Good at that. [01:55:00] Speaker A: Oh, thanks. [01:55:02] Speaker E: Appreciate that. [01:55:05] Speaker B: I am sort of fancied a quick chat, I [01:55:12] Speaker A: think. [01:55:12] Speaker E: Griffin sort of puts down his accordion. He goes, ah, brilliant. Because I've been meaning to chat with you as well, like, because we've not really had a chance to actually get to know each other. [01:55:23] Speaker B: What do you want to. [01:55:24] Speaker E: What do you want to talk about? [01:55:26] Speaker B: Well, I. I just wanted to say that you're. You're not the only one who's afraid. And it's fine. I. This time a couple years ago, I was making simple poultices and trying to heal the odd cut or bandage a leg. And now I'm here, and very nice, but very, very firm lady is wanting to talk to God, I think, and I need to save everyone of my people. And I Don't I. I don't think I can do any of. I don't have a clue what I'm doing, Griffin. So don't. Don't worry that you're the only one who's gonna be up against something that you can't handle, because I think we all are. [01:56:40] Speaker E: Well, if you don't have a clue what you're doing, you doing a really good impression of someone who does like you. Like you look like you really got your stuff together. [01:56:56] Speaker F: How. [01:56:56] Speaker E: How did you get involved with Cassandra, if you don't mind me asking? [01:57:03] Speaker B: I. Well, I. I can't remember if I've. I've mentioned to you or not, but since the eschaton, the. The weather in my home has not been right. And every year, the rain's getting less. The animals. We're losing more and more of them every year. So with my new special powers, everyone thought it'd be a good idea if I went and talked to the wild spirits to see if I can fix the whole situation. So I went off to civilization. And basically, if Cass hadn't met me as well, Explorers Guild, I'd probably been stabbed in a gutter by now or something. I think she says it's mostly just because she wants to see how my powers work, but. Actually, I don't know, she's quite fun to hang out with after a bit. [01:58:16] Speaker A: I'm sure she is. [01:58:19] Speaker B: Yeah, she. She puts up being tough, but she is tough. But not all of her. [01:58:29] Speaker A: Well, [01:58:33] Speaker E: we can be scared together if you want, but. [01:58:36] Speaker B: Sounds great. [01:58:38] Speaker E: Yeah. [01:58:39] Speaker B: You don't need to. I really appreciate you talking to us about what's happened. You don't need to go into any more than you're comfortable with. Just. You've told us more than you wanted to, and that's. That's a lot. And. Ultimately, you're still with us, and that's what matters. [01:59:05] Speaker E: Thanks, Gardi. You've. You don't know me at all, and you've been nothing but kind to me since you met me, so thanks. I hope I can. Hope I can repay that in some way. [01:59:21] Speaker B: Yeah, Like I say, accordion's really good. So that's Nilly. You're on your way there already. [01:59:27] Speaker E: Any requests? [01:59:33] Speaker B: Not sure if you'd know much from. Is there any chance you know [01:59:43] Speaker C: where [01:59:43] Speaker B: the wind blows to? [01:59:46] Speaker E: Griffin will have a little think and could you maybe humve it? Maybe join in a bit, and then maybe I can go along? [01:59:57] Speaker B: Not much of a voice, but, hey, I'll try and, like, yeah, just do a little bit of Recognizable, but ultimately pretty off key. Coming [02:00:12] Speaker E: Griffin, will. Will sort of join in and then be able to sort of catch the melodic sort of rhythm of it and. And start playing it. [02:00:21] Speaker B: Yeah. After a bit, guy's probably having a little. A little tear or two and. Yeah. Just eventually wander off to bed. Maybe they give you a little hug first. [02:00:40] Speaker E: Someone hugged me first. [02:00:41] Speaker C: Yay. [02:00:46] Speaker A: Very good. Are there any others? The GM has a scene. [02:00:53] Speaker B: Oh, God, no. [02:00:55] Speaker C: Yes. [02:00:55] Speaker A: GM has a. Has a cutscene ready. Does anyone. Would anyone else like to have a scene? [02:01:03] Speaker F: I'm scared now, Dan, but sure, whatever you want. [02:01:09] Speaker B: G just wanders back like. Well, a good chat given. I'm glad nothing of any significance is going to happen overnight. [02:01:16] Speaker F: Yes, I'm glad it's going to be [02:01:17] Speaker E: a nice and lovely quiet night. [02:01:19] Speaker A: Night garden. [02:01:20] Speaker B: My favorite kind. [02:01:22] Speaker E: I'm sure you will sleep well. [02:01:28] Speaker A: Well, if there's no one else. There are flitting images as you dream, Cooper. [02:01:51] Speaker F: Okay, let's go. [02:01:54] Speaker B: And [02:01:58] Speaker A: they are. They feel like scenes. They. To. To regard them. They are scenes you have not witnessed yet. You seem to be incredibly familiar with them. Scenes of wave of banners, regimental banners fluttering in the wind. The sounds of pained screams and swords clashing on armor and shields. The thunderous chorus of charging battalions colliding into one another. Arcs of magic soaring through the air, resulting in devastating explosions as they detonate amongst the masses. And it feels as if your view of whatever battle this is is one of many, many battles. It feels as if you are observing it from on high as. And the details of what you're seeing are obscured by the passing of clouds by. By the gathering of clouds. And as your vision turns Heavenswood, you suddenly feel this plunging in your stomach. And just when you feel. When you. You jolt awake at the sensation of falling. And what. What is immediate? What is the first thing you look at in your. Like, what are you sleeping in? Have you all got tents? Do you reckon the. The villagers of Rice will now gave you tents? [02:04:08] Speaker E: Hope so. [02:04:09] Speaker F: Yeah. I hope so. Otherwise, with Stephen all huddled together in. [02:04:15] Speaker A: In the. [02:04:16] Speaker B: Under a Snatcher. [02:04:17] Speaker C: Yeah. Abe just cuddled up with a Snatcher. [02:04:21] Speaker F: That sounds about right for Abe, though, to be honest. Yeah, I think if they've got like little tents or you're in a tent. [02:04:29] Speaker E: Okay. [02:04:30] Speaker A: In which case, as you wake up. Yeah. What's the first thing you look at? [02:04:35] Speaker F: I think I reach a reach from my. My chest to make sure like where there's caused me to fall, if it's actually affected me at all. I think that that's the first thing, I think you'd go to okay. [02:04:51] Speaker A: And as you sort of pat yourself and okay, everything's fine. Everything's okay. You look down at your hands. And rather than the copper like scaled fingers you're used to seeing, seeing, you find yourself looking to large fingered hands covered in a pale pallid skin. And you feel in this moment larger. And as you glance towards a mirror, the face that looks back at you is a gaunt one. A large, crooked. A large hooked nose sat beneath two eyes sunken into eye sockets. Cracks across your cheek, that glow of a slight green hue. And shoulder length blood red hair spilling down around your head. A braid falling across your collarbone. And as you frown and you bare your teeth slightly, you see the blackened fangs that adorn your mouth. And you realize you are looking at your own reflection. Exo. And as you look into the mirror, you find. Find yourself. Your head tilts slightly as your face twists into confusion. And you feel the. The skin on your cheek blister ever so slightly more. [02:07:17] Speaker B: You. [02:07:19] Speaker A: You hear yourself say to yourself. I knew there was something different about you. You have heard it as well, haven't you? [02:07:47] Speaker F: Who is it? [02:07:53] Speaker A: The calls of panic, the desperate pleas for safety. It's ironic, isn't it? [02:08:07] Speaker F: Who is it? [02:08:13] Speaker A: I would have thought that someone like you would have figured that out by now. But it would seem that we are both. We both share a link to her. And you feel. You feel your own eyes widen with this slightly maniacal glee as you stare at yourself in the mirror. I would have thought that you would understand the cause of Caer Vofa. I noticed when we met in Dornashal, your horns. Was that a. A mark of shame for you? [02:09:24] Speaker F: It was a way of eating and surviving, actually. Sod off, Exo. [02:09:33] Speaker A: How can I? We are bound, you and I. Servants of the sundered dragon. [02:09:43] Speaker F: I serve no one. [02:09:49] Speaker A: That. That is the spirit. Knowing that you can turn your back on a weakling like the dragon Kervosa, that is the path to true power. She clings to us like an infection. What would you do to cleanse yourself of her? I was her champion once. What about you? [02:10:41] Speaker F: Nothing. I've done nothing. I've just lived my life stopped bothering me. [02:10:51] Speaker A: She chose you for a reason. Dragon sent. She sent you for a reason. Maybe. And you, Exo? You're not sure anymore. You lean in closer and a wind blows open the doorway of the tents that Exo is. [02:11:20] Speaker B: Is in. [02:11:20] Speaker A: And the moonlight casts sharp relief across his disfigurement. Across his disfigured face. Maybe we will find out your purpose together. And as he leans back, your vision turns with his head to the open doorway of his tent. And in the distance you see in the rising light of the morning, the steam emanating from a large floating island in the center of a caldera [02:12:14] Speaker F: and [02:12:14] Speaker A: the telltale warm glow of Burunam. And you awaken a second time. And you immediately go to feel your chest like you thought you did a moment ago. And you see the same dawn rising over the horizon. In the aftermath of a long rest. I will advance the clock three times. [02:12:56] Speaker C: What with me so many times. [02:13:03] Speaker A: And I should reset my fear. So instead I will reset my fear for a new day to D4 plus the number of players. I reset to nine. Fear. [02:13:26] Speaker E: Damn, sir, that's too many fears. [02:13:29] Speaker F: Yeah, way too many fears. Way too many [02:13:34] Speaker A: Exo. [02:13:35] Speaker F: That's Max fears. That's not good. [02:13:38] Speaker A: Exo is not heading to Pfizer. He's heading to Baruna. But Cooper is. You start to try and ascertain what this even means and what the ramifications of it are. You start to hear the sounds of your companions awakening for a new day. And we will advance forward ever so quickly. Work to the next leg of your journey. Lightning round again. Well, let's say lightning round. We'll go around the houses for what we all see on the next. On the second leg of our journey. Let's start with Coop. Let's start with. No, we're not. We're going to start with Cooper. Let's start with Abe. What's the what what? One kind of point of interest is Abe kind of enraptured by. As you press onwards, [02:14:53] Speaker C: I think as we go onwards, we see a sort of like sort of mountain peak esque in the horizon that has been shattered. So the top of the of it has come off and it's completely charred and it looks like it's been struck multiple times by lightning and it's sort of left a blackened sort of stump of a stump of a mountain. A mini mountain. [02:15:30] Speaker A: Okay, what about now? We'll come to Cooper. What. What terrain, what point of interest captures Cooper's attention? [02:15:41] Speaker F: Would we say that the weather has got fiercely sharper? Like how close it now as the [02:15:47] Speaker A: five was the six of you, Coraline included, awaken you. You kind of take a mo. It's quite shocking actually. There is a notable layer of frost across the ground. The. The ground itself seems harder. Like the. The pegs that you kind of attached the like pegged into peg the tents down with. They come out of the ground that much easier because there's. Well, it's just so much kind of harder and kind of more capable. So the pegs come loose quite easily. And Livy, what was the. So you're in a bit of a basin, right? [02:16:36] Speaker C: A little bit of a basin. [02:16:38] Speaker A: So yeah, you notice that there are like hanging icicles from like the edges of the basin like this. There's scatterings of snow on more elevated areas. Were, were there any trees nearby? [02:16:58] Speaker C: Yes, but sparse. [02:17:00] Speaker A: Sparse. Okay. The trees in more elevated positions you've noticed have almost overnight begun heavily shedding leaves. Like a sudden onset of autumn. Like we've skipped autumn. We've gone straight to winter. So there are piles of. And like the leaves are just kind of laying on angles that show that they've almost flash frozen. Suddenly the world that you're waking up into looks remarkably different. It feels colder. It. The sun reflects off the frozen grounds that much more brightly. Yeah, wildly notable in that case. [02:17:45] Speaker F: Obviously as we're getting closer to Pfizer, I feel like we come across a frozen lake of some description. But the, the like it's almost like black ice. Frozen. [02:17:58] Speaker A: Okay. [02:17:58] Speaker F: It's like a particular sort of ice and it's, it feels sudden. Like it doesn't feel like because of the nature of the weather, it doesn't feel like it's a lake that's definitely supposed to have frozen over. Like I think you can still see. It's almost like it's been sudden. So you can still see like the fish quite close to the surface where it's frozen very quickly and the fauna just seems to have frozen on the side. Like it hasn't seemed to be. Nature has been able to react to the cold. So it's, it's a strange vision. [02:18:39] Speaker A: Sure. Okay, so we've got this like almost flash frozen lake type river. Very good, very good. We'll say that that's the end of our leg. So we've got the start of our leg and the end of our leg. Griffin, what took your attention? Between. Well, between Abe's, between the mountains that's been struck and scorched by lightning and [02:19:10] Speaker E: this frozen lake, Griffin will see sort of like a large, sort of like quite a large meadow. [02:19:21] Speaker A: Just going to hold you there. Hello Pope, World Build and other doc. Hello for raiding. Hello. Thank you. [02:19:29] Speaker F: Hello. [02:19:31] Speaker A: Welcome the explorers of elsewhere. My name is DM Dan and this is Libby, Nate, Georgia, Theo and Tim. Welcome. We're playing some dagger heart. Yes. [02:19:42] Speaker F: To. [02:19:43] Speaker A: To the ramparts. We're being attacked. We're Being graded. No. Thank you all for joining in massively. Real quick recap. Everyone is on an island called the Titan Isles, which is home to two like gods with small GS, known locally as Titans. And our adventuring party are heading towards one of these Titans because bad things are happening. The Titans have been corrupted and they're. Yeah, everything's going to hell in the handbasket. It's getting very cold. As. For reasons unknown, for reasons undetermined. Unconfirmed. Yes. We have just had a long rest, and we're now beginning to venture out into our second day of journeys. That's really. That's very much us wrapped up. So. Yeah, Nate, sorry, continue on. [02:20:37] Speaker E: Yeah, I feel Griffin is looking over sort of like a large meadow, which he kind of gets the impression that it would usually be quite plush and quite green with flowers and such, but at the moment is covered in sort of like a. He can see sort of like the fine frost that's sort of scattered all over it and the twinkling of that in the sun. And in the middle of this meadow, he noticed sort of like these large beasts. Like these large, furry beasts, but he can't really get, like, a good look at what they look like because they're all huddled together for warmth in the middle of this meadow. [02:21:21] Speaker A: Sure. Okay. Very good, very good. So huddling beasts, frozen meadow. Okay, Cassandra, what. Like, what. What do you encounter after this kind of frozen meadow? [02:21:39] Speaker D: I think we end up walking along this kind of ridge overlooking a valley and sort of trees spotted around. But it seems to be sort of like this deep, cut out of the earth and at the bottom and covered by vegetation, but still very visible is the ancient bones of something very big. You can see kind of the jutting ribcage coming up towards the sky, and you can see kind of the. The curve, what might have been a skull. And it's. It's a reminder that this is the Titan Isles and there were. There are big beasties about. [02:22:18] Speaker A: Do you feel like, were these bones, have they been revealed by this sudden, like, flash freezing or. [02:22:26] Speaker D: I think they've always been there, but I think the vegetation, a lot of it hasn't survived the sudden flash freezing. And it's kind of. It's turning to mulch and it's kind of withering around. So bits of the bone which haven't been revealed to the sun for quite a while, kind of yellowing and parchment, like, have started to come through. [02:22:46] Speaker A: Okay, very good, very good. In which case, Gardi, what's the. What do you notice after this sort of, like, large creature, large creatures, resting place [02:23:06] Speaker B: on a hillock. A little ahead of us is a ramshackle old hut that is crystal kind of is glittering in the frost, and it looks as though someone has crudely drawn a weird stick figure on it in the frost. [02:23:33] Speaker A: Okay. [02:23:33] Speaker B: Yeah. [02:23:34] Speaker A: No, I, I. Is there anything unique about the stick through, or are we talking like, proper circle and then a couple of lines for arms, legs, and torso? [02:23:47] Speaker B: Yeah, but there's too many lines. [02:23:50] Speaker A: Too many. [02:23:50] Speaker B: Like. [02:23:51] Speaker A: Okay, very good. Very good. [02:23:54] Speaker F: Who, [02:23:57] Speaker A: Abe, who do you muse might be the owner of this hut? I mean, you're. You're a fairway from Riceville. Nice. It's not your. [02:24:10] Speaker E: Could it be my hat. [02:24:12] Speaker C: New home looking for a new real estate? [02:24:17] Speaker A: I mean, have you got any theories, [02:24:19] Speaker B: if you have a big enough axe. [02:24:22] Speaker A: Yeah. Have you got any theories on who this hut might belong to? Given that. Yeah, most civilization tends to stick to Riceville. [02:24:29] Speaker C: Now, I think it's a trapper's hut, so probably used for people traveling out to hunt. And this is maybe the last peg that they can. That they've built a place that they can stay between hunting trips. So it's used as a. Yeah, okay, so trapper's heart. [02:24:59] Speaker A: Marvelous. In which case, as you. So as you kind of continue on this journey. The light lightning, scorched mountains. [02:25:09] Speaker B: The, [02:25:13] Speaker C: The. [02:25:14] Speaker A: The. The frozen meadow with the. The creatures kind of huddling for warmth. The overly large creature's skull jutting, like, jutting over and frozen over. And this curious hunter's hut that's been. Has been vandalized with a little stick figure. We then the. The journey that. The path that you take. Abe, I'm assuming you're still leading your troop. Of. [02:25:44] Speaker C: Of course, me and B Troop 6. [02:25:47] Speaker A: Okay, so in which case you find yourselves moving down onto a path and you realize that the. The path in front of you set. Seems to have been frozen over like a black ice. Like, frozen. You. It dawns on you very quickly that the. The path that you're following is actually a river that has very, very quickly frozen. Cooper. As you kind of look off the sides of the. The Snatcher that you're sat on, you notice that, like, there are creatures kind of swimming under the surface, but some of them aren't moving at all. Almost as if maybe they've just been caught and frozen in place by the sudden extreme change in temperature. And after a little bit of testing, you realize that the ice of this frozen river is actually quite thick and will support the weight of the Snatchers and Hands, you riding on them. So trusting in the squidgy paws, squidgy paw pads of your snatchers, the six of you begin kind of heading onto the, the river as it kind of cuts this kind of trench through the hills and it see if you can follow like you know that the river, this river most likely run, runs from the mountains that are behind Pfizer's lair. So this is almost a really handy shortcut if anything. And as you're moving along this river in the distance, you hear this almost like trumpeting noise. And those of you on the backs of the snatches with a little bit of extra height as you peer between these sort of like rocks structures that are jutting out from this frozen river, you see this silhouette of a large mass of creatures moving towards you. And you very quickly notice that heading at a gentle pace in your direction is what appears to be a herd of large mammoth like creatures. But in lieu of a large trunk, the, there's this like bone like horn that starts from just below their eyes, goes down the, the length of their skulls and then kind of flares out into two almost like spade like protrusions. It looks like the horn looks like a giant scoop shovel of swords. [02:28:52] Speaker E: We could have ridden those in. [02:28:53] Speaker C: If only we would have ridden those in. Yeah. Perfect snow. [02:29:00] Speaker A: Funny that. Hey, what is the, is there a name that you give to these creatures? You can, you can use the one that I tentatively coined if you would like. You'd like the, the dealer's choice. [02:29:25] Speaker C: Trying to put together the word shovel and mammoth. [02:29:29] Speaker A: The name I came up with is shovel tusk, but. [02:29:31] Speaker C: Shovel tusk, okay. Shovel tusks. Yeah. [02:29:36] Speaker A: Hey, there is, I can only imagine there's a true moment of like. Oh Mr. Frodo. Shovel tusks. Yeah. As you see this herd of shovel tusks turning towards you, I think it would be something somewhere between, between Griffin, between the others of you who might know what the actual name for these creatures are, who might have researched it like learned about these creatures. [02:30:03] Speaker F: Feels like a gardy. [02:30:05] Speaker D: It feels like a gardy, yeah. [02:30:07] Speaker A: So Guardi, you're, you're able to acknowledge that these creatures are called mammoths? [02:30:16] Speaker C: No, they're called shovel tasks. [02:30:21] Speaker A: And yeah, this herd of mammothaunts or shovel tusks as Abe seems to be referring to them as sort of like slowly kind of trundling towards you. They don't, they don't have trunks like a mammoth would. In fact they just have like a mouth behind their, their nose horn. But yeah, every so often you just hear them Kind of release these [02:30:45] Speaker E: kind [02:30:45] Speaker A: of key almost like a wild song like sound as a whale going past [02:30:51] Speaker C: an ambulance [02:30:55] Speaker A: and like the ground kind of shaking like you can see the, the sides of the, the sides of the river like the banks of the river kind of shaking slightly at the. The impact of all of these large mammoth forms like trundling towards you. And yeah. So we find the six of you. I haven't got tokens for the snatchers unfortunately but I'll just put you in pairs and then we'll just. [02:31:30] Speaker C: They're fighting. [02:31:31] Speaker B: If we haven't got snatcher type what, [02:31:33] Speaker A: what is the point? Yeah, yes, we've got give you Earth Elementals. That's roughly the same. Right. Although I think these might just sit on top of. Yeah, they sit on top of you. We'll use the power of imagination. Yes. You, you see this like herd of mammoth points slowly kind of ambling towards you. And then with a spend expenditure of a fear you hear in the distance reverberating off the sides of this riverbank a, a snickering, snarling and then a telltale how and who's got the highest instinct. I think it's Gardy. [02:32:37] Speaker B: Right, I've got plus four. [02:32:41] Speaker A: Okay, yeah I'll be Gardy Gardi. In which case you as you sort like you have to, you stand up in your stirrups to, to get a bit of, a bit of better vantage point to see what's happening. And on the banks of the river on either side like behind the mammothaunt you see a what appears to be a pack of lupine like creatures. And as you, as they like you see one of them, it's head back, eyes closed as it howls into the, the cold wintry air. And then almost, almost as if a, as if it's a war horn the creatures then break into a run like break into a gallop almost and they begin running down into the valley. And the mammothants seem relatively like oblivious to this until you see the at least 12 of these six legged wolf like creatures descend on the trailing mammoth at the back and they're a sound. There are kind of panicked, panicked sounds from the mammothaun as these cre. As these wolf like creatures descend on it and begin biting into its ankles. And you watch as the, like these, they're larger than wolves, they're you know, small horse sized but you watch as the 12 of them work together in tandem to bring down one of the mammoth forms. And as the sound of the mammothaunt crashes, crashing to the ice rings out the other mammothants sort of like their heads twist to try and get a look behind them as best they can. And in a panic, realizing they are surrounded, they are being flanked by predators, they begin to run towards you. And as these mammothants begin their stampede in your direction. Who is taking the spotlight first? I will put us into a pseudo initiative. This is our first combat using new foundry, born in the encounter tracker, the little cross swords. In foundry, there is now a hands up button. So you can actively tell me that you would like the spotlight as an aside. Yes. Who. Who is taking the spotlight first? [02:35:36] Speaker E: Where, where, where, where the little chat boxes. So where you know, you got chat and then combat encounters and actors. Sort of like top right. [02:35:59] Speaker F: I see it. I got it. [02:36:00] Speaker A: Top right, your screen. It's two cross swords. [02:36:06] Speaker C: Okay, got it. [02:36:07] Speaker A: If you right click it, it also pops it out. So you can have it anywhere on your screen and then also have chat open. Yes, you can absolutely put your hand up to say give me the spotlight. But yeah. Who would like to go first? [02:36:29] Speaker C: I mean, I don't mind. [02:36:31] Speaker A: Okay. Go away. Go. [02:36:36] Speaker C: God. I mean, I mean it's. [02:36:37] Speaker A: We're not gonna bear in mind you are on the back. So we'll just have to remember that you two are on the back of snatchers. Snatchers which are panicking because there are. There is hundreds of tons worth of furred flesh barreling towards you. [02:36:54] Speaker C: Can I direct my snare to behind the large rock face in a hopes of it can be a barricade against the shovel tusks? [02:37:07] Speaker A: Yeah, [02:37:09] Speaker C: they're kind of like if we stay here, they might just run past us. So I want to go try for there. [02:37:19] Speaker A: Okay. What ability are you using to commandeer to navigate your snadra? [02:37:28] Speaker C: Well, it's going to be a force of strength. He knows what he's doing and it's just. It's strong and. [02:37:41] Speaker A: Okay, roll. Yeah, roll me a strength check. Bombing use experiences if need be. [02:37:46] Speaker C: No worries. Let's do that. Abe, Stre. I think that was a crate. [02:38:04] Speaker E: Nice. Nice noise. [02:38:05] Speaker A: That's a crit. Okay. Yeah, you. So Cooper, you are kind of like Abe pulls hard on the reins and the snatcher like perhaps. Perhaps this is Abe's, you know, snatcher piloting expertise. But he's able to move maneuver the two of you behind this large rock like just in front of you to the right. Abe, are you like. Are you just waiting for these mammothants to pass or. [02:38:39] Speaker C: I think that's the idea. Or at least a enough that we can kind of Wait for a moment to keep going, but I think the hope is that they'll just past us. [02:38:52] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. In which case. Yeah, you successfully move yourselves there. I will spend another fear and a. But as you kind of handbrake turn your snare in against this rock. Cooper, as you kind of glance round trying to see what's happening, you glance back down at the ice and you realize that with the sudden increase in speed and like the. The greater amounts of force that these mammothants are pushing downwards as they try to flee these six legged wolf like creatures, cracks are beginning to appear in the ice. So perhaps staying still for too long will have chilly consequences. [02:39:50] Speaker F: Okay, I report that back to Abe just to make sure he noticed it as well. [02:39:56] Speaker A: Okay, [02:40:00] Speaker C: I'm thinking on my feet. I don't know, I'm just trying to get out of the way. [02:40:03] Speaker F: I know. [02:40:06] Speaker A: As the two of you bicker, Gardi, the spotlight moves to you. What do you do? [02:40:12] Speaker B: Can I try seeing that despite Abe's remarkable snatchmanship, they're in trouble. Can I use vicious entangle. But try and use the roots to like shore up the ice under them rather than to tangle like people. I want to tangle the ice together. [02:40:44] Speaker A: Okay, so you're almost trying to like grow it under the ice sheet to give it like a lattice to sit on. [02:40:55] Speaker B: Yeah, kind of into the ice so that it's all like held together. [02:40:58] Speaker A: Sure. [02:41:01] Speaker B: If that won't work, I can also just run away. [02:41:06] Speaker A: I think that could well work. Is there. What do we roll it? Yeah, if you run your spell cast. [02:41:12] Speaker B: Sweet. Oh, hang on. There we go. [02:41:27] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:41:28] Speaker B: Cast 22 with fear. [02:41:33] Speaker A: 22 with fear. Okay. You successfully like the vines kind of arc through like under the ice, kind of through the ice. And this, the area beneath Abe and Cooper is successfully kind of reinforced, I guess would be the. The best way to describe it. So let's say that this area immediately here, which is probably room for two snatches, is okay, like is reinforced. Let's make that a jolly little green cool. [02:42:19] Speaker B: In fact, sorry, could I also use. I'll. I'll use my fearless skill to turn the fear into hope. [02:42:31] Speaker E: Okay. [02:42:33] Speaker B: Which I think incurs. What is it? Two Stress. [02:42:37] Speaker A: Okay. Yes, I pay your stress and then take your hope and then I'll reduce the fear that I got. Very good, very good. So as you've rolled with hope and not fear. Play moves to Griffin. [02:42:57] Speaker E: Can I time lock one of these beasts? [02:43:05] Speaker B: Oh, no. [02:43:07] Speaker A: Stop it. [02:43:09] Speaker C: Yeah, just cause like a. I guess a domino effect as they all just. [02:43:16] Speaker E: Yeah, they all bang Each other. [02:43:18] Speaker B: Anyone remember the bad stampede from the King Kong film in like 2005? I feel like it's going to be that. [02:43:24] Speaker D: I'm getting Lion King vibes. [02:43:29] Speaker F: Living said we busted earlier. We know where this is going. [02:43:34] Speaker A: Probably. [02:43:35] Speaker C: But wait, I'm the daddy. [02:43:37] Speaker B: Oh no, no. [02:43:39] Speaker A: Which. Which mammothant are you time locking? [02:43:44] Speaker E: Probably the closest one that's coming towards Cass and Coraline. [02:43:51] Speaker A: Okay, so the one sort of like ahead of you to the left. [02:43:54] Speaker E: Yeah. Would you say that's in far distance? [02:43:56] Speaker A: Oh yeah. It's definitely. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Okay. Well I assume so. I'm pretty sure that strikes me as being far. [02:44:05] Speaker E: Okay. Gotta make spellcast wrong. Let's see how this works. [02:44:13] Speaker A: Apparently is very far. How big? Wait, how big is everything? [02:44:17] Speaker C: I think everything's quite big. [02:44:20] Speaker A: Yeah, it should be. Hang on. Let me turn on the squares for a sec. Hold, hold. Yeah, no, you're. You're at far range. I just think my. My distances are a bit jank. [02:44:39] Speaker B: Right. [02:44:40] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah. You're certainly. If anything you're probably close. [02:44:43] Speaker F: Okay. [02:44:44] Speaker E: Yes, I'm gonna do. It needs to be within far range. So I'm gonna do. I'm gonna do a time lock. See how that works. I've got to do a spell casting role. Apparently. Spell cast against them to maintain the spell. Okay. So the spell works but if something tries to move it then I have to do a spell casting roll. [02:45:12] Speaker A: Okay. So the. The mammoth just. Just freezes on the spot. [02:45:17] Speaker E: Yeah. [02:45:19] Speaker A: Okay. This. This cannot go wrong. Okay. So yeah. [02:45:27] Speaker B: What. [02:45:27] Speaker A: What does the. What does your time lock look like again? [02:45:31] Speaker F: It's. [02:45:32] Speaker E: It's pretty much sort of like a red sort of haze that sort of engulfs the. [02:45:38] Speaker F: The. [02:45:38] Speaker E: The beast. [02:45:39] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay. In which case, yeah, the. The lead mammothaunt just sort of like freezes in spot as you lock it in place. So it. So what. What causes me to roll if it's. If something else tries to move it or like can it try and free itself? [02:46:03] Speaker E: It doesn't say anything like that. It just says if a creature tries to move it make a spellcast rolled against them to maintain the spell. [02:46:09] Speaker A: Sure. Sure. Okay, that sounds. That sounds fair enough. Yeah. There we go. Right. Distances are now fixed. So yeah, it is currently within close range of you. Perfect. [02:46:20] Speaker B: Cool. [02:46:22] Speaker A: And would anyone else like to take the initiative? If not, I will take it for you. [02:46:34] Speaker C: Well, could we get Corally? She's driving. Can Coraline drive? [02:46:39] Speaker D: Yeah, I'm a bit sad. [02:46:43] Speaker A: Sure. Okay. [02:46:45] Speaker D: So yeah, from up here. Except look straight in the eye if [02:46:50] Speaker A: anyone wants Coraline to have a go, then just, just holler as if she were your character. Be a Coraline. So she is going like this. This mouthful is barreling towards Coraline and. And Cass and then suddenly just like freezes mid, like mid gallop. What does an elephant mammoth type thing do? Does it gallop? Yeah, gallop, sure. Let's say gallop. And Coraline looks his mammothaunt that's just stopped in midair and then turns her head to look at you, Griffin and like her brow froze as if to be like, really? And she is going to. She's going to move the two of you off to the side. So she needs to make a. Do a little checky check. So let's do. I don't know if she can arguably use battle tactica for this. [02:48:05] Speaker C: Yeah, [02:48:08] Speaker A: okay. She's gonna. She's gonna go ahead and make her roll. She rolls an 11, which actually, actually. So she. She sort of like yanks on the reins of the Snatcher, but the snare just sort of like all four paws go out in different directions and it just like drops to its belly and starts scrabbling. And Cassandra, you're just like, for all excellence and purposes, your snatcher has stalled. And yeah, you can see that the other mammothaunt, let me spend a fear. Are beginning to barrel towards you all. And it looks like in a moment some, at least one will collide with this mammothaunt that stopped. I will also take this opportunity. 2. I'll spend another fear. And you hear like barking and yipping as these wolves begin skirting down the sides of the river to try and sort of like fundamentally herd and catch up to these mammothaunts. Who else would like to go or. I'll keep on going. What's Cooper doing? [02:49:48] Speaker F: I'm trying to figure that out. I think he's going to be concerned about Cass and Coraline, but I'm not sure what he can do. I think part of him, the reckless part of him, which is definitely in his character to looks like he wants to rush over, but like, even if he rushes over, he still has to bring them back. He doesn't have think he doesn't have anything like that. But arguably he like, what we need to do is get the snatcher to like to lead them out of the way. So I'm just trying to think there's anything I can do. [02:50:36] Speaker A: If you're holding fire, then we can chuck them across to Cass because you're kind of in the moment. [02:50:44] Speaker D: Yes, Cass, Unfortunately, I put Link out in the vault. Thinking now we're not gonna need a teleportation. [02:50:55] Speaker A: Well, yeah. If in this moment you really want to use blinkout, you can. You can swap it. [02:51:02] Speaker C: Yeah. [02:51:03] Speaker E: You can spend distress. [02:51:06] Speaker A: It's a recall cost one. So you can spend distress to immediately swap it into your active loadout. [02:51:12] Speaker D: I might do that. Although saying that I can then I think I can only travel with one person [02:51:19] Speaker F: now. You blinked out with me before. [02:51:21] Speaker D: Yes. I mean, I think I can only grab one extra person. So we. No snudger comes with us. Snudger must be sacrificed for the blinker. [02:51:31] Speaker C: Leave Coraline. Coraline. Take the snatcher. [02:51:50] Speaker D: Cass will. I will spend the stress to get blink. [02:51:55] Speaker A: So if we send that to your loadout, which. Which card are you getting rid of? [02:52:02] Speaker D: I shall get rid of. Let me see what's in my loadout at the moment. I did check recently, but then I forgot. She shall put midnight spirit. [02:52:16] Speaker A: Cool. So if you move that. Move that down, there's a little down arrow on your loadout page. And we'll tick up your stress by one. I'll do that for you. So you're one stress as you trade in blink out. [02:52:35] Speaker D: Then I think I just roll. Nice. [02:52:42] Speaker E: Nice. [02:52:44] Speaker A: Okay, so 20 with fear you are able to like you lean forward as Coraline's desperately trying to get the snatcher to do something. Like you reach forward and as you grab Coraline, you both disappear. Is it the same kind of peel of thunder? [02:53:01] Speaker D: Yeah, it's like rumble of thunder that you hear. [02:53:05] Speaker A: In which case. Case if you move yourself to where [02:53:08] Speaker D: you want to go, I suppose we'll end up on top of this rock. I'll take Coraline with me. [02:53:16] Speaker A: Coraline kind of snaps to with you. [02:53:19] Speaker D: Yep. [02:53:21] Speaker A: And as you teleport up there with a fear, I will activate the mammothaunts again. And arguably not a moment too soon. One mammothant collides with the. The time locked one. So how does. How is this working, Nate? [02:53:42] Speaker E: I've got to roll a spellcaster roll to see if it spell class plus three. [02:53:51] Speaker A: So it's against them to maintain. [02:53:54] Speaker E: Yeah. [02:53:54] Speaker A: Okay, so it's difficulty 16. [02:54:03] Speaker E: It's a 17 with fear. [02:54:05] Speaker A: Okay. In which case. So you. They do hold as this mammoth collides into the back of your time frozen mammoth. The. The one that's done the colliding fundamentally. Like it's. It's tusk. It's shovel tusk kind of goes down and then it almost flips over its front and like lands with a huge crash. Your mammothaunt is still where it is, but the other kind of lands with a huge crash on the, on the ice sheet. It causes the other mammoth form to panic and it sort of like barrels into the rocks that Cassandra and Coraline are just kind of teleported onto. Um, and like Cass and Coraline you have to sort like duck down and kind of grab onto hard purchase as the rock shakes at the force of this like hundred ton beast just kind of barreling into the side of it to the, and the, the the combination of the somersaulting mammoth and the, and the rock being shunted in the ice. You all feel yourselves kind of rise up for a moment as the ice you're on lifts out of the water slightly. And then you hear the sounds of like, of huge cracks as they rip through the ice sheet. And as the floor underneath you begins to crack and kind of move as more and more of these mammothaunts charge towards you hounded by these six legged wolf like creatures. We'll call it there. [02:56:05] Speaker C: So. [02:56:07] Speaker A: We will call it there. Oh, it's bit of a cliffhanger, isn't it? So congratulations everyone on completing episode 11. We are, we're firmly in the second half of the campaign and steaming towards the end. But before we bring this, we bring this evening to a conclusion. Elsewhere in elsewhere, A dull blue glow illuminates a bedroom in the sleeve of the sleeping sleeping quarters above the bountiful parlay. And despite the recent devastation, this room has still only has one occupant [02:57:35] Speaker B: and [02:57:36] Speaker A: kick Fran's features are illuminated by the glowing orb he holds in his hand. This seems highly brush Lord Sorrow Wind, he says into the glowing orb. I worry this will jeopardize our patrons plans. And a terse response response rings through the room. You may have your plans and your schemes, whether they be yours or your patrons, but I have my own endeavors I wish to see completed. Prepare for my arrival. Rival Kit Fran. This development means means one thing. I will bring the might of House Stone Giraffe to bear and I will not be stopped. And as the orb putters out and the room descends into darkness, Lord Sorrow Wind strides out of the study he was in, taking a moment to glance at the shrouded figure sat in a wheelchair, attended to by servants. And with this ever so slight sneer, he turns away and peers out of the window to the city below. Far, far below. And at the sound of Lord Sorrowin's barked orders, the thrum of of propeller gets louder as the airship begins to rise above the clouds and move begin its journey. Towards the Titan Isles.
