[00:02:03] Speaker A: Hello, Internet. Hi, welcome. My name is DM Dan. We are the explorers of Elsewhere. We are live and we are here for the campaign finale, part one of our third campaign, third main campaign in the Elsewhere setting. Hi, welcome to those of you in chat. Welcome to those of you who are watching this in the future. Hi. I hope the weather is great where you currently are.
I am DM Dan. I am joined this evening as always, by Livy.
[00:02:40] Speaker B: Hello.
[00:02:40] Speaker A: Theo.
[00:02:42] Speaker C: Hello.
[00:02:43] Speaker A: Nate.
[00:02:43] Speaker C: Hello.
[00:02:44] Speaker A: Georgia.
[00:02:46] Speaker D: Hello.
[00:02:47] Speaker A: And Tim.
[00:02:48] Speaker E: Hello.
[00:02:49] Speaker A: Hello. Hello. Hello.
So, yes, it's quite an exciting time. We are at episode 20 of 20.
We're in the first half of a finale because there was just so much to cram into the finale that we couldn't do it justice. And just three.
Three measly hours.
So we're gonna. Yeah, we're gonna split it up a little.
For those of you who've watched the rest of campaign three, firstly, thank you. But you might notice the things look a little different around here.
And if.
Well, hopefully that will all become very apparent as to why in a moment. But before we press on, just a little bit of bookkeeping. So if you are excited for the fact that we're at the finale and you should absolutely first hit the like button if you're on YouTube or. I don't think there's a like button on Twitch, but if there is one, if you make a like button in Twitch, hit it.
Subscribe on YouTube, follow on Twitch. If you aren't already, join us in our discord. I can assure you there's going to be quite a lot of natter about what's happening in this finale, which is coming out soon. Right now you're watching it and we conclude hopefully next week.
But.
And yes, if you want to help us out, please consider becoming a patron on Patreon, a member on YouTube that, like, the tears are very, very cheap in the grand scheme of things, but it's an amazing amount of help.
Speaking of amazing things. And we'll also do. Let's do a little quick shout out for the Holmwood Foundation Season 2 Kickstarter, which is still live as of time of recording.
[00:04:30] Speaker D: Just about.
[00:04:31] Speaker A: Just about.
Yes.
What is the home of Foundation Season 2 Kickstarter for you and or Georgia?
[00:04:40] Speaker D: I have no idea, Dan, what are you talking about?
[00:04:43] Speaker A: What am I talking about?
[00:04:45] Speaker C: The Homeworld foundation is a found footage horror fiction podcast designed as a sequel to the novel Dracula. Can you tell how many times I said this in the last year?
We are currently fundraising for season two, season one. It's available wherever you get your podcasts, it's got queer representation. We're trying to pay all our cast and crew a fair wage. If you want to support the arts, if you like Dracula, if you like the book specifically and want it to be kind of correct, if you want to support
[00:05:14] Speaker D: a love interest, come, please,
[00:05:15] Speaker C: for love of God, come to us and listen to our podcast. But yes, we're currently fundraising for season two. It ends on Thursday.
So, yes, any support would be amazing. Even if you can't donate, please share, please go listen, leave a review, all that jazz. But we'd be really, really grateful if you did. Thank you very much.
[00:05:35] Speaker A: Yes, absolutely. So, absolutely. Check that out. The. The chat bots should have been trained to be pinging that through every so often in the chat. So, yeah, please give that a consideration. Give that a little look if you get the chance.
So we have found ourselves face to face with the might of an ace ofari high house.
One of our number has been stolen away and One of our number has been stolen away and a.
A surprise new arrival may be the answer to may be our solution to returning Griffin back to the rest of our heroes. Who would like to jump in to the first part of the season three finale?
Updated title sequence now.
[00:06:40] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:06:55] Speaker F: Hi, I'm Nate and I'm playing Azakar, a Majani Seraph.
[00:07:01] Speaker B: Hi, I'm Livy. I'll be playing Rayri, the Ignan sprite ranger.
[00:07:08] Speaker C: Hello, my name is Theo and I'll be playing Kal a Sang of our guardian Seraph.
[00:07:13] Speaker D: I'm Georgia and I'll be playing Alfric, a dragon scent bard slash warrior.
[00:07:19] Speaker E: Hi, I'm Tim and I'm playing Galena, Terran sprite wizard with a splash of witchcraft.
[00:07:25] Speaker A: And my name is DM Dan, the games master. In this adventure,
[00:07:50] Speaker B: Foreign.
[00:08:00] Speaker A: Stood as a beacon of a Savari brilliance, a dynasty of scholars, mages and visionaries who carved the future of arcane mastery through courage, intellect and the unrelenting guidance of Lord Gulvarian Sorrowing.
Their experiments reshaped the boundaries of magic itself, proving that power was not inherited, but earned through daring and devotion.
Yet history is not kind to ambition.
The war of dragons, the Eschaton and the rediscovery has reduced their name to a whisper, one spoken in fear and scorn.
Cursed by Aya's blood and stained by betrayal, the stonethraft legacy lives on in the shadows, clung to by those who still dream of redemption.
Now, with Orin's false lineage exposed and Tobias Sorrowynd, Golvarion's first true heir returned home. The old lord sees a chance to restore what was lost whether Griffin desires it or not.
How stone thrust legacy will endure.
And so we find in a dimly
[00:09:32] Speaker F: lit
[00:09:35] Speaker A: a dimly lit dungeon of sorts we find Griffin sat perched on a wooden bench affixed to a fixed to a wall facing locked bars and Griffin as you peer up, your wrists shackled by anti magic bindings.
You have nothing to accompany you in the darkness but the gentle flickering of candlelight.
You hear speech behind on the other side of the door to this prison and with a slow the door swings open and footsteps approach your cell into the candlelight. Emerging from the glory who do you hope it's going to be?
[00:10:58] Speaker F: Griffin is going to hope it's going to be his his brother Warren.
[00:11:05] Speaker A: In which case as as Orin steps into the candlelight, his eyes are low like staring towards the floor and even in this dim flickering light you can see that Orin's once proud regalia is now dull and tarnished, much like his reputation with your father.
Orin.
What? Orin has many similarity, physical similarities to you, but the difference is notable when he turns his head to look at you and regards you with lavender eyes, the same color eyes you once had when you were younger.
Tobias Griffin, I'm.
I.
I don't know what I'm. I'm sorry.
He begins.
[00:12:26] Speaker F: Oren, you've got to let me out of here.
[00:12:28] Speaker C: I've got.
[00:12:29] Speaker F: I've got stuff I need to do. I. I promise I'll come back, but I've got to get out of here.
[00:12:36] Speaker A: Griffin, you. You know more than anyone that I can't. I can't. I.
I am. I am on the thinnest ice around Gulvari and I, I, I want to help, but I. I can't do that.
[00:12:56] Speaker C: You can.
[00:12:57] Speaker F: You could come with me this time.
I know, I know like I know that you didn't. I know you hated me last time, but you could come with me this time. I could show you elsewhere. There's a whole world out there.
[00:13:13] Speaker A: Orin closes his eyes and takes a deep breath and then looks back to you.
I.
I want to.
I really do. But you should know this more than anyone. There is nowhere on elsewhere that we could go that wouldn't be within his reach.
I Please, Griffin, don't make this any worse than it already is.
[00:13:50] Speaker F: How are you?
[00:13:54] Speaker A: I am struggling.
I have lost all favor. I am. I'm regarded less lower than vermin within the house.
I.
Everything that I try to do to.
To make up for a mistake that wasn't a wrong. That wasn't my fault. I.
It's hard and even turns his eye eyes to. He locks his eyes back on you.
[00:14:31] Speaker F: I'm gonna get us out of here, right?
[00:14:34] Speaker A: What.
[00:14:35] Speaker F: What does he want with me?
Besides obviously the obvious
[00:14:42] Speaker A: Orin.
Like his eyes flicker away.
I.
I don't know. But in your absence he's grown only more brash, more violent, more angry and more erratic in his age.
You are the future of Stone Thra. And he knows that.
So perhaps placating him will be the best option for. For you, for me, for. For us.
Once you're leading the house, then we'll have the freedom then. Surely.
[00:15:32] Speaker C: Surely, yes.
[00:15:33] Speaker F: But I really need to get out of here now. You've seen that. You've seen the raging fire outside, surely.
I need to.
[00:15:41] Speaker A: I.
[00:15:42] Speaker F: My friends are down there. I've got to help them.
[00:15:44] Speaker C: We've got.
[00:15:45] Speaker F: We've like something much bigger than this is is happening down there.
[00:15:52] Speaker A: As you say that. You watch as Orin visibly like flinches and looks over his shoulder in a panic as you hear the the door to the prison open again and a slow methodical footstep rings out.
Your friends, your father begins, are of little consequence to House Stone Thras.
These islands can burn.
There are many other islands but Stone Thrath will rule over soon. Tobias.
And Gulvarian stops and turns to regard Orin with a sneer on his face.
Summon the guards and bring him, he says, pointing to you, to the throne room.
Looking to you, Griffin.
You will ensure the continuity of our legacy, Tobias, one way or another.
And as Gulvarian places his hands together at the small of his back, Orin looks to you, his eyes wide with regret and sorrow.
And he mouths I'm sorry.
And slinks away like a wounded cat.
And as Golvarian focuses his attention on you before turning and leaving the prison area as well, the candle lights illuminating your cell flickers and dies.
Elsewhere.
We so elsewhere on the gilded pyre.
High over the high over the the island of the the Titan Isles.
Swarmed by the thickening black smoke of the wildfire spreading across the island surface. Thanks thanks primarily to Exo's voracious growth across the aisles the ship the the gilded pyre is rearing upwards and away from the from the island, whilst bolts of burning orange mana fly from its primary artillery arcane cannons towards a floating like a swooping cylindrical mage tower in embedded on a round circular disc which is returning fire with distinctly less less power and magnitude.
And in a flash of blue Light.
A silvery portal materializes somewhere in at the bottom bottom of the airship.
[00:20:04] Speaker F: And
[00:20:06] Speaker A: through the sounds of the commotion and the sounds of battle, we find like from the portal emerge five figures, six figures even ads.
A Sanguvar, a Terran sprite, a Majani, a dragon scent and an Ignan sprite with her pet dire chihuahua burst out of this portal onto what appears to be a metallic gang plank. A gangway at the very bottom of the gilded pyre.
As the six of you emerge
[00:20:53] Speaker B: at
[00:20:54] Speaker A: the forefront of this group, Galena, you.
As you emerge from this portal, you can't take. You take a moment to glance to your left and you realize that over the edge of this gangway is a sheer plummet to the islands down below.
And you can see the clouds thickening as this airship gains more altitude whilst it rot is rocked with both its artillery fire and return fire from the mage tower.
In around all of your necks are small smooth pebbles which a silvery blue rune blinks to life as a voice ripples out of them in a five way stereo. As the voice kind of as it is produced from all of your. All of your pendants.
And from here from the like the command deck of the battle tower Arch Magister Meridius Radahn.
Like you hear his voice.
You hear his voice kind of crackle out from these pebbles. If all's well and good, you should be on the weapons deck on the underside of the gilded pyre. You will need to focus fire on the helm of the ship to give you a distraction. But if. But you have to disable the mana orb that powers the pyre's main arcane cannons.
Please be quick. I'm not sure how long this tower will last under this barrage.
He yells to you as he.
As he analyzes the.
The hot. The illusory representation of the gilded pyre that hovers in front of him.
And as the six of you kind of take your bearings, you notice a number of like uniforms, crew soldiers on this gangway in front of you.
And they as you kind of burst out this portal, they look to you somewhat.
Somewhat surprised.
Somewhat surprised at your sudden explosive arrival as the.
As the soldiers kind of turn to regard you.
Tell you what, let's do a. Let's do a real quick introduction.
[00:23:34] Speaker B: So.
[00:23:34] Speaker A: Yeah. Who at the front, Tim? Who's Galena?
[00:23:40] Speaker E: Complicated question.
She's a.
A diminutive little earth sprite, as I suppose all that's right, sir.
With real hankering for alchemy and generalized messing about with magic.
Lots of various potions of Various sorts that will hopefully cause all kinds of interesting changes to these inconvenient guards.
Yeah. A passionate young lady, I would say.
[00:24:15] Speaker A: Amazing. And who is stood immediately behind her, this strapping, strapping young Sanguavar man.
[00:24:25] Speaker C: Young is a very fast stretch. So you're looking at kind of like a middle aged Ace Ofari, son of our man. He is definitely got like, like pepper in his hair, massive mustache, quite stoic expression, long overcoats, big sword.
Yeah, he, he is ready. He, like there's, there's something quite interesting about the fact that he's aware of Stonefrath.
So yeah, this is a bit interesting for him, but otherwise he is ready to go. Like, this is what he's built for, is to do things quickly with as much trust as possible.
Okay, he's, he's good.
[00:25:15] Speaker A: And who is, who is the Dragon's End behind California?
[00:25:21] Speaker D: That is Alfric, little blue man, sort of rounder and younger looking than Cooper, dressed, I think very similar to the way that Griffin dresses. I think there is a way of posh boys who want to be bards.
They all buy from the same catalog, I think.
[00:25:48] Speaker B: Of course,
[00:25:50] Speaker D: I think he looks more confident and just a little bit more self assured than he did a couple of months ago maybe. But he still looks so excited to be here. He is ready. He's got his rapier out. He is ready to go.
[00:26:05] Speaker A: Okay, amazing.
Somewhat perhaps less excited looking. Who's next to Alfric?
[00:26:14] Speaker F: So Azakar, who is a Maani serif, he is standing poised, ready to go. I feel like probably about, about a year ago he would be just charging in there. He is not a fan of house stone froth, considering what they did to him in the war. But he is a lot more poised and a lot more disciplined now. And he is ready to go.
[00:26:39] Speaker A: Amazing.
And last but not least, who are the two diminutive figures that step through the portal last?
[00:26:47] Speaker B: So behind all of them is Rayri, who is a ignorant sprite.
She's a ranger.
And she is standing sort of tippy toes on the back of her very, very large Chihuahua called Vinnie. And she's just trying to look around and see what's going on. Just kind of because she can't see over all these tall boys heads of what you can see over Gala's head.
Just, just excited. She's excited to be there. The gang's back together again.
[00:27:14] Speaker A: It's just like the gang is well and truly back together again.
Amazing. So, yeah, as the six of you emerge onto this gangway and say the the assaulted house stone thra guards further ahead of you. Like, they turn around, looks of shock and surprise on their faces before one of them yells, we're on. We're being boarded. Master. Master.
And who is.
Who is charging forth Bar? Remember to pop your hand up in the tracker so we know who's going first. Yeah, who's. Who's leading the charge?
[00:27:49] Speaker C: I mean, Cal is frontline tank for a reason, so let's get him in. First off, I think as, like, as he hears this, he like, kind of twists his blade round and does like a very, like a small silent prayer. And he will get his prayer dice ready.
[00:28:07] Speaker A: Oh, yes.
So if anyone wants to roll like prayer dice or rally diet. Well, not rally dice. Everyone. Everyone gets a rally dice from. From Alfric.
[00:28:19] Speaker C: I don't know how to do it.
[00:28:21] Speaker D: It's a D8, I believe, after level five current.
[00:28:26] Speaker A: So, yes, whenever.
[00:28:30] Speaker C: So I have one. Oh, I have a lot of one, I think.
[00:28:36] Speaker F: Yeah, I think it's it. I think it rolls them for you see, when you just want to spend it. So I'm just gonna roll all of them, I think.
[00:28:46] Speaker A: Yeah. If you click on the dice in.
In thingy, it should.
Well, there is the re. Roll dice.
Surely Cal didn't just roll three ones.
[00:28:57] Speaker F: I just sold ones as well.
[00:28:59] Speaker C: So, yeah, they've only showed ones. Can we just roll three?
[00:29:02] Speaker F: There we go.
[00:29:03] Speaker A: There we go.
I've just. I've just rolled cows for you.
[00:29:11] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:29:12] Speaker A: Two, two, one. Okay, you got two, two, one.
[00:29:14] Speaker F: I got two, one, one, one.
[00:29:16] Speaker A: Okay, well done, lads.
So cow. Yeah, review the view. Sort of like charging out the portal, Aragon style.
Yeah, you can. You can see that these sort of like, loyal surfs are turning to.
Turning to engage you. And out of the peripheral. Out of your peripheral vision, you notice that there are a number of surfs, um, on. So. So you are over this large kind of over open gully. And there is a, you know, it's a. An increasing, increasingly high drop to terra firma far below. So whatever you do, do not fall off the side of this, but on the sides of this sort of like open bottom, you on a walkway slightly elevated. From your positions, you can see that there are a number of other surfs. Some are equipped with kind of general kind of hand weapons, some with crossbows. But perhaps quite worryingly, you see that there are at least four what. What appear to be large arcane cannons that look like they. The surfs are ready to man.
[00:30:30] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:30:30] Speaker A: They're ready to crew.
So, yeah. What's Cal doing Right.
[00:30:35] Speaker C: Well, I'm. I can't do anything about the cannons, so it's going to be attacking the two in front of me.
So I'm going to head towards one of them. So let's. Scared or optimistic? Let's go for optimistic. Let's break him. Let's go. Let's say we're gonna. We're gonna do that.
I'm not gonna push him off the edge.
Oh, how do I move him again? Why is way ways.
[00:31:02] Speaker E: There you go.
[00:31:03] Speaker C: Thank you so much for that. Cool. So I've moved him. I'm going to use my. So I'm going to pair my broadsword and my skull render, which I believe gives me eight. So it's 3D plus eight, which I don't think we have a setting for, but I might just do the advanced broadsword and actually. Are they magical?
[00:31:23] Speaker A: Have they got these guys? These are not. No, no, no.
[00:31:26] Speaker C: These are not. Okay, cool.
Well, that's fine. They're still the same. So I will use my advanced broadsword against this chappie and then I will spin up with spell render as well.
So let's see what happens there.
So let's roll. So roll for the first one.
So it's a 25 with hope. And also because I now have spirit weapon when spell render is used. So what I wanted to do was basically I want to use spell render as well. So I can add +3 onto that, I believe.
So just on the. So it'd be like 28 with hope just to make it easier. But when you have a equipped weapon within range of melee or very close, it can fly from your hands to attack an adversary within close range. So like you can mark a stress to target an additional adversary within range with the same attack.
[00:32:26] Speaker A: Wrong.
[00:32:26] Speaker C: So basically I'm force hammering the one on the other side.
I'm slicing. So I'm using my sword and my blade on the first guy. But that blade that the dagger is leaving my hand, getting the scared one and then coming back to me.
[00:32:42] Speaker A: Amazing. Amazing.
[00:32:45] Speaker E: Nice.
[00:32:48] Speaker C: Yes. So with that then I'm gonna. If you let me know if I've definitely hit both.
[00:32:53] Speaker A: You have definitely hit and you gain hope.
[00:32:56] Speaker C: Cool. So I'll roll.
I'll roll damage then for both.
[00:33:01] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, that will.
That would just count.
[00:33:05] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:33:05] Speaker A: It will count in spell render as well.
28. Oh my God.
[00:33:12] Speaker C: So that's 28 points of damage to both of scared boys.
[00:33:17] Speaker A: We'll tell you what, what is the, what is the range of the spirit spell render? Like the magic dagger you got from Archmage Ulix Mansion.
[00:33:25] Speaker C: It's within close range.
[00:33:29] Speaker A: Within close.
I see, I see, I see.
Okay, very good.
28 damage. Yes.
[00:33:39] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:33:41] Speaker A: Okay. As you, you.
You double blade attack this the surf in front of you and your.
Your broad sword and spell render cleave through sort of like cleave through armor like the. The boiled leather armor that they're wearing. And as you then sort like throw spell render and it spins out like a vicious fisbery.
28 damage, eh.
The. The optimistic surf in front of you collapses lifeless. The dagger out and 1, 2, 3. Takes out the three other surfs directly in front of you.
I think the rest of us cow
[00:34:29] Speaker C: counts around like no time. You have to go.
That is like just Finn's like.
[00:34:35] Speaker B: Oh,
[00:34:37] Speaker C: that's more for you Riri. Later. Come on.
[00:34:41] Speaker D: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
[00:34:42] Speaker B: Let me just.
[00:34:42] Speaker D: Let me just.
Getting the violence like mid. Getting the violin out from the holster.
And before anyone like races off down the plank way, he's just gonna play a quick like a very quick heartbreaking song. And everyone within close range get to hope.
[00:35:05] Speaker A: Okay. Amazing. Everyone gets hope and do Cal. Do you want to maintain a spotlight or do you want to pass it on?
[00:35:14] Speaker C: I'm gabby to pass it on. I'm good.
[00:35:16] Speaker A: Alfred, spotlight's currently on you as you play your heartbreaking song. Do you want to.
Are you just done with the song? And do you wanna.
[00:35:23] Speaker D: That was. That was my as just so before anyone like split off away from the portal.
[00:35:31] Speaker A: Okay. Amazing. So in which case as a car your you're next in queue.
Yes. Call has raced ahead and scythe through four surfs single handedly. What do you do?
[00:35:43] Speaker F: Nice.
[00:35:43] Speaker E: How.
[00:35:44] Speaker F: Let's see how far can I go without having to roll?
[00:35:48] Speaker A: For agility you can go to close. So basically next to Cal.
[00:35:55] Speaker E: Okay.
[00:35:57] Speaker A: And as I say as you sort of like run along this.
This like green metal gang, gangway. There's this kind of cold blue energy flow that kind of the. Any sorry.
A cool blue light you can see emanating from kind of grates below your feet.
And as you pass onto these large kind of brass like circular hoops around the gangway, you can see that this arcane manor arcs between them.
The same blue arcane glow is beginning to illuminate along these arcane cannons as the serfs go quickly, quickly like they rush to be begin crewing them.
[00:36:37] Speaker F: Okay, how far is this goblin chappie in the corner?
[00:36:45] Speaker A: So the goblin surf in front of you is far range.
[00:36:47] Speaker F: Nice.
That's A nice little bolt beacon coming their way.
[00:36:54] Speaker A: Okay,
[00:37:06] Speaker F: An 18 with fair and 18
[00:37:08] Speaker A: with fear is a hit.
And what does this bolt beacon look like?
[00:37:14] Speaker F: The bolt beacon is like us. Is like a. It's like a bright sort of like yellowy white thunderbolt that comes out from Azakar's scimitar.
[00:37:26] Speaker A: Okay.
Amazing. So as that slams into this poor, poor goblin surf.
[00:37:34] Speaker E: I'm not for damage.
[00:37:42] Speaker A: 13.
Okay.
You. As you.
As you send this blast forward, it's it.
Your. The range of it is far, right?
[00:38:01] Speaker E: Yes.
[00:38:02] Speaker A: Okay, describe to me how as the blast fires out, it strikes the goblin you were aiming for, as well as the Larovar surf on the other side.
[00:38:17] Speaker F: I guess it's just. I guess it just sort of pings off.
[00:38:22] Speaker B: Ricochet.
[00:38:22] Speaker F: Yeah, just ricochets off some of the ar. Just like. It's been a while. I haven't. I haven't shot this one for a while.
[00:38:28] Speaker A: Good day though, right?
[00:38:32] Speaker F: I'd also like to mark too stress to make that roll a hope instead of a fear.
[00:38:38] Speaker A: If I can use my fearless.
Yes, you can. Yes, you can.
[00:38:42] Speaker B: You're done.
[00:38:44] Speaker A: Okay, so mark two stress. That becomes a hope. Take your hope, in which case I will spend a fear to activate one of the surfs. And the. This cruel surf off to your right, jumps on the cannon, sees these two figures scythe through six, six soldiers in quick order and like jumps on the cannon, wheels it into position and fires a shot towards Azakar.
That is an 18 to hit.
[00:39:18] Speaker F: That does hit.
[00:39:21] Speaker A: Okay. As a car, as you're like, as you're stood with your, you know, sword arm out with a bolt beacon, you're struck it struck to the side by 27 damage from the defense cannon under some major damage.
[00:39:34] Speaker F: I'm gonna spend an armor slot and make that a minor.
[00:39:39] Speaker A: Okay. Amazing. Amazing.
So who would like to what Azica, do you want to maintain spotlight or who wants to take spotlight next?
[00:39:48] Speaker F: Now you go for it.
[00:39:49] Speaker C: Go. Go, Olivy, go.
[00:39:51] Speaker A: Live a go.
[00:39:53] Speaker B: So am I right in which these guys are far from from me?
[00:39:59] Speaker A: It's yes, correct.
[00:40:01] Speaker B: Perfect.
[00:40:04] Speaker A: And very far for the source further along.
[00:40:07] Speaker B: No worries.
What I'm going to do.
Alfric, you wonderful bouncy man, Assume max position on Vinny. She's like, give us a boost, she says. And she just runs. She gets Vinny to just run at
[00:40:33] Speaker D: Alfric Ulfric, like hurriedly putting his violin away.
[00:40:40] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:40:43] Speaker B: So I'm gonna mark a stress.
[00:40:45] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:40:46] Speaker B: And I can boost off of Alfric. Yes, as long as you're willing.
You're willing?
[00:40:55] Speaker A: Are you willing, Alfric?
[00:40:58] Speaker B: Always.
I can perform an aerial attack and then I land next to them as long as they're in far range.
[00:41:05] Speaker A: Okay. Yes, they are.
So as you.
So as you run up to Alfric and then you with a spring, you are like midair with just like a thousand feet dropped below you to the burning islands below, please make a little
[00:41:27] Speaker B: salute to
[00:41:30] Speaker E: make your.
[00:41:31] Speaker A: If you make your attacks and then we'll.
So I'm guessing you're Legolas shooting them as you somersault through the air?
[00:41:38] Speaker B: Them. Yes,
[00:41:43] Speaker A: as Vinnie fires. Short bow.
[00:41:45] Speaker B: That's a 25 with hope.
[00:41:47] Speaker A: That's a very hit. Yes.
Just to check, Vinnie's not bouncing off Alfric as well, is he? Because he.
Together.
Oh, boy. Okay.
Okay.
[00:42:06] Speaker E: What is the combined weight?
[00:42:12] Speaker D: Screw the metal walkway.
[00:42:15] Speaker A: 21 damage. Okay.
Yeah. Libby, describe to me what happens as Ray Reef flies through the air. Fight looses an arrow, lands on the platform. Vinnie lands on the platform as well by the other surf. And your describe to me the attacks that take them both out.
[00:42:36] Speaker B: So, yeah, she kind of is in the air. She fires a shot, like straight through one guy. And as they. It's obviously a very well coordinated attack. She lands, she turns around and Vinny's just like, out the neck of the other one. She just turns around, just. And Vinnie as well. Just blood on his face. Just at the other party. Just that.
[00:43:01] Speaker A: Amazing. Amazing. So, yes, the two of you land. Do you want to maintain spotlight or pass on?
[00:43:07] Speaker B: Can I use the gun?
[00:43:09] Speaker A: I mean, you can
[00:43:13] Speaker C: let Ray reuse the gun.
[00:43:15] Speaker A: Who. Where are you using the gun against?
[00:43:17] Speaker B: Oh, I'm gonna use the.
[00:43:23] Speaker C: Immediate concern. And then just like, it's fine.
[00:43:27] Speaker A: Right. Where are you aiming the gun, Ray?
[00:43:30] Speaker B: How far can it turn? Can I. Can I aim it at these guys?
[00:43:37] Speaker A: You can't shoot down the alleyway, but you could certainly shoot across the gangway to the other side.
[00:43:43] Speaker B: The cruel surf.
[00:43:46] Speaker A: Cruel surf. Yeah, of course. Of course, yeah.
[00:43:53] Speaker B: Like, don't put it at me.
[00:43:57] Speaker A: We are gonna need.
I'm gonna need an agility. It's gonna be an agility check because you're trying to maneuver this thing.
So if you just roll me in agility and we'll use that agility roll against their.
[00:44:15] Speaker B: Mm.
He's very good at nine with fear.
[00:44:23] Speaker A: Okay, so as you like, you.
You go to turn, and then as you point it across the gangway towards this poor. This poor surf on the other side, you just see the surf sort of like look up at you having just. This is one that's just fired at Azakar, like looking up at you and like the blood drains from her face.
You bear this cannon down and then you sort of like, look and like, what now? There's no. There's no buttons. There's no pressy bits.
[00:44:55] Speaker B: Like what used to this does it not this.
[00:44:59] Speaker A: Yeah, you pull on it a little bit, jiggle slightly.
Vinny's just growling on the end of it.
And yeah, unfortunately, the. The shot does not fire. I gain a fear, um, and worth as the like as the sounds of this battle begin emerging. You hear like, you hear. You begin to hear sirens going off like alarms to alert the rest of the ship that they've been boarded. So that'll be my fear. Move. Galena, what are you doing?
[00:45:35] Speaker E: Cool.
So, yeah, Gina wipes away a little bit of the mineral oil that serves as sweat for Earth sprites. And it's like he just wants. Can I not end up with a bunch of maniacs suspended over certain death?
Dan, the. The outcome of this is incredibly dependent on how any of this works.
Oh, do I reckon.
Can I move up to. Can I move far without rolling or do I need to roll?
[00:46:15] Speaker A: You can move close without rolling far with an agility.
[00:46:18] Speaker E: All right.
[00:46:19] Speaker A: But obviously if you make the roll, you could still hold the spotlight.
Because Galina, I will say, like, you've got this gangway in front of you and there's some sort of mechanism on a large, like, cog, like shape in front of you. Behind that mechanism appear to be three stairwells leading up.
You presume the two flanking stairwells, like here and here, must lead to the gangways that overlook the platform. Like the walkway that you're on.
But you would, with all of the various kind of arcane implements you have around you, like arcane compass type things, you can sense that there's a powerful arcane force up the stairwell at the far end of this gangway.
[00:47:06] Speaker E: Okay, I'll make a. I'll make a fire run for it, I think.
[00:47:10] Speaker A: Okay, roll me an agility.
So we only. Under the fire of the approaching guards, we're gonna need a 14.
[00:47:24] Speaker E: That is a terrible number to say.
[00:47:26] Speaker A: Dan, do you want to spend your rally dice in this moment?
[00:47:30] Speaker E: Oh, yeah. Yes, please. Yeah, that'd be really nice.
[00:47:32] Speaker F: Or would you like one prayer dice?
[00:47:34] Speaker A: Would you like a one paradise,
[00:47:40] Speaker E: actually. Is it just like a plus one?
[00:47:43] Speaker A: It's just a plus one.
[00:47:44] Speaker F: I've got plus one.
[00:47:46] Speaker E: If that's easy to do.
[00:47:47] Speaker A: A plus one makes your 13 into a 14 with fear. And you like under the fire, like crossbow bolts are starting to fire in from the surfs on the gangways. And as you're ducking out the dodging. Ducking out the way of those.
Yeah. You managed to get to the relative cover of this archway at the corner of this mechanism.
[00:48:09] Speaker E: Grand.
So as I say, I have absolutely no idea what, how this is going to work, but I'll use my little like halfway between the slingshot and a crossbow wrapped mount on my wrist. Fire a little capsule.
[00:48:24] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:48:24] Speaker E: The cannon in the bottom right.
[00:48:26] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:48:28] Speaker E: That shatters into dust, covering it in a time lock spell.
What happens if I time lock?
[00:48:36] Speaker C: No, they're for both.
[00:48:37] Speaker D: They're for both.
[00:48:47] Speaker A: Yes. No, you can absolutely time lock one of the. One of the cannons which are basically render it inoperable.
[00:48:53] Speaker E: Yeah, the one in the direction that we're going. Because I don't know if it's gonna move with the ship still or how any of this works.
[00:49:03] Speaker A: Sure. I mean, yeah. That all of these defense weapons are sort of like mounted to the gangways that they're on. So. So yes, I believe. What, what do you need to do for the time lock?
[00:49:15] Speaker E: I need to actually use?
[00:49:17] Speaker A: Make a spell cast roll.
And we'll say DC, we'll say difficulty 14 as well.
24, but fearfully 24 with fear. Okay. So the release. I'll grab my two fear from those two roles.
I'll retroactively spend.
Sorry. I'll retroactively interrupt your turn by introducing two new.
Two new surfs.
As the alarms go off. Yeah. Some more guards appear to, to rush towards you.
And yes, that, that cannon is now time locked. So I'll do a little squiggle through it so we know that it's not working. There we go. Beautiful.
So I'm, I'm. What, what does the time lock look like?
[00:50:25] Speaker E: So, yeah, the little orb, kind of a little glass orb shatters on it and covers it in a dust. And then the dust itself like locks in space and anything that it's coating freezes with it.
[00:50:38] Speaker A: Okay. Okay.
So yeah, it all fundamentally freezes shot. Amazing. Amazing.
I will retort with.
Yes, they're both in Ranger. So as you sort of like time lock, as you kind of freeze up that uh, arcane cannon, the two surfs that are just further along the gangway from it, these two here, they level crossbows in your direction and I will spend a fear to shoot both of them.
So that is a.
They make one attack. So they're gonna fire their crossbows rolling a.
Oh no.
[00:51:29] Speaker E: Oh no.
[00:51:31] Speaker A: A crit.
[00:51:33] Speaker E: I will spend three hope.
[00:51:36] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:51:37] Speaker E: To use. Not this time.
Forcing a reroll of an attack.
[00:51:45] Speaker A: Good use of that.
So three hope so.
[00:51:51] Speaker E: Yeah. I see it coming. And like.
[00:51:54] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:51:54] Speaker E: Smash a vial on my vest that like bursts in light and hopefully blinds them a bit.
[00:51:59] Speaker A: Yes, it absolutely does. And these two bolts go off target. They roll a six between them. And these crossbow bolts, like one pings into the arch that you'll hide behind. The other kind of pings off the flooring in front of you. Yes. You've avoided both of their attacks. Very well done.
[00:52:18] Speaker F: Who.
[00:52:19] Speaker A: Who wants to go affix at the back?
[00:52:24] Speaker C: You're on mute.
[00:52:25] Speaker A: Oh yeah. You're on mute.
[00:52:27] Speaker D: Thank you.
How far away am I from her?
I think Alfred is. Is just gonna hurry forward
[00:52:41] Speaker B: to.
[00:52:42] Speaker D: I can hurry to.
I think he's gonna stick by.
[00:52:47] Speaker A: Yeah.
Catch up with Al Freaking.
If you catch up with Azakar and Cal, that is absolutely fine. Do you want to do anything else while you're there or do you wanna. If you want to go any further, I'll ask for an agility.
[00:52:59] Speaker D: But yes, I think given what I have, I think I'm okay for now.
[00:53:06] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. Amazing.
Let's.
[00:53:11] Speaker E: Who.
[00:53:11] Speaker A: Who are we passing to? Remember to pop your hands up in the combat tracker.
[00:53:17] Speaker F: I'll go next.
I think we need to get inside. We need to. They'll just keep on coming.
[00:53:25] Speaker A: We need to get inside now.
Right.
[00:53:29] Speaker F: I will roll for agility to says
[00:53:33] Speaker A: Azakar as Ray Reese squeals with the light. She spins around.
Really get over here.
[00:53:41] Speaker D: Maybe we should get her off that.
[00:53:45] Speaker A: She could do it herself. Hey, back here.
[00:53:48] Speaker B: Now
[00:53:51] Speaker F: I'll roll an agility tool.
Try and get a little bit further.
So 23.
[00:54:01] Speaker A: 23 with fear. So place yourself within far range.
[00:54:07] Speaker F: I can go there.
[00:54:08] Speaker C: Gotta go.
[00:54:09] Speaker A: Okay. And Azakar, as you begin sort of like heading along the gang you like to the bottom of the stairwell. I will take the fear and activate.
So one of the serfs comes running down the stairs towards you. Hearing you approach.
As this apathetic surf is approaching you, two others level their crossbows at you.
So the two, they'll make fundamentally two separate attacks. One with crossbows, one the chapters attacking you in melee.
So the two crossbows. So I'll spend a fear to roll those two crossbows together.
And they roll a four. So I can only imagine there's some like deflection of the bolts in midair as a surf runs down the stairs, Rolls an eight to hit.
[00:55:14] Speaker F: What are you doing?
[00:55:15] Speaker A: Stop that.
[00:55:17] Speaker B: Get off me.
[00:55:19] Speaker A: Okay.
And that's called. Do you want to reclaim spotlight? Yeah. Okay, let this go in front of me. What do you do?
[00:55:31] Speaker C: This is how you hit.
[00:55:35] Speaker A: This is how you do it. And this one I wrote awfully as well.
23. 23 with hope. That is very much a. Yeah. Roll for dimage.
[00:55:48] Speaker B: This is how you do it. Slice head.
19.
[00:55:54] Speaker A: And this is a melee attack. Yes.
[00:55:56] Speaker F: Yes, this is a melee attack.
[00:55:58] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:55:58] Speaker F: Let me just quickly check something.
[00:56:04] Speaker A: If I don't pick this man up and throw him.
[00:56:09] Speaker F: I would also like to add a plus four to that using body basher as well.
[00:56:15] Speaker A: Yes, absolutely. I think that's already factored in your body.
[00:56:19] Speaker F: I think that's my plus four. That's already added to my theoretical.
[00:56:23] Speaker A: You've got like a plus 11.
[00:56:25] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:56:26] Speaker A: Yeah, fair enough. Yes. Okay, so 19.
Yeah. Tell me how you dispatch this poor.
[00:56:34] Speaker E: Just.
[00:56:34] Speaker F: It just comes along like that.
[00:56:37] Speaker A: Just go. No, just backhanded him off the platform to them.
[00:56:43] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:56:44] Speaker A: Stop that With. With on a mission. He's got no time for this. We got premium proper will hype.
[00:56:55] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:56:56] Speaker E: Scream.
[00:56:58] Speaker A: We got. We got it in. We got the wheelhouse cream.
Amazing. So, yes. Mark your hope if you haven't already.
We will pass over to Rayri.
[00:57:09] Speaker B: Right. The gun didn't work. No, let's get off the gun.
I will. Oh, it's just. He's far away.
This is the problem.
[00:57:23] Speaker A: You have a bow.
[00:57:24] Speaker B: I know, I know, I know. But I can't go very far, can I, with a bow?
[00:57:29] Speaker A: You probably can if you jump on Vinnie. You could always use Vinnie's fast AF experience.
[00:57:37] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:57:37] Speaker A: On the agility roll.
[00:57:39] Speaker B: Yeah, I think our agility roll to closer, not close range because I still want to be able to shoot him, but. Or I could. Do you think, oh, can I do an agility roll and see if Vinny can buy him?
[00:57:53] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:57:53] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:57:54] Speaker A: What are you getting on Vinnie first?
[00:57:56] Speaker B: Yeah, I will mount Vinnie.
[00:57:58] Speaker A: Okay, so you jumped on Vinnie and Yeah. If any wants to roll a. An agility check.
[00:58:05] Speaker B: Well, yes, please.
Yeah. Plus Finnies.
Vinny, where are you?
I use my own. So confusing. I use my own agility, but I need to plus his.
Can I just. Plus any of the experiences. Just. Yeah, add his experience as fast as fork.
That's a 27.
We get there.
[00:58:43] Speaker A: You do. So you. You certainly get there.
This surf will.
So I'll take the fear and then he'll fire crossbow at you as you come 12 to hit.
Okay. You dodge out the way of the crossbow.
[00:59:03] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:59:03] Speaker A: Because he's fast AF and. Yeah. You collide into the surf.
[00:59:08] Speaker B: I will chomp.
Not I will chomp. Vinnie will chomp.
[00:59:12] Speaker A: Vinny will chomp.
[00:59:13] Speaker B: Vinny will chomp.
He rolls to chomp.
Oh, it's only a 10. Chomp.
[00:59:21] Speaker A: 10 Trump. Do you want to use a rally dice?
[00:59:24] Speaker B: I would like to use a rally dice. Was it D8?
[00:59:28] Speaker A: Okay,
[00:59:31] Speaker B: the 14.
[00:59:32] Speaker A: 14 is a hit.
[00:59:35] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:59:38] Speaker A: So do your chomp.
Oh, my God.
[00:59:43] Speaker B: 19.
[00:59:44] Speaker A: 19.
And yeah, this poor, tired surf is reduced to kibble as Vinnie has his
[00:59:52] Speaker B: way with him like a corner of the cop.
[00:59:57] Speaker A: Do you want to maintain. Do you want to keep hold of the.
[01:00:02] Speaker B: Can I just try and jump back to Azakar, please?
[01:00:08] Speaker A: Yes, yes.
[01:00:09] Speaker B: Or can. Or can I go around? I mean, I.
Obviously they got there, so is. Does the get.
[01:00:15] Speaker A: So you.
You realize there is like, yeah, the gangway in front of you. Now that you're up here, you can see the rest of the gangway.
[01:00:22] Speaker B: No worries. I won't jump back then.
[01:00:25] Speaker A: Yeah, but do you want to carry on your. Your crusade forward?
[01:00:33] Speaker B: Oh, let me have a little shoot at this guy first. All right.
It's a cheeky little one.
Just let me do a cheeky little shot.
[01:00:42] Speaker A: I will. As an aside, I'm gonna spare. I'm like interrupting your.
Your. Your role with fear. And I'm bringing on more reinforcements arrive. Seven more serfs arrive.
[01:00:58] Speaker B: Whatever.
No, I'm not shooting them.
[01:01:04] Speaker A: Do you. Does anyone want a one paradise?
[01:01:12] Speaker C: Yeah, I've got a one paradise. Do you want it?
[01:01:14] Speaker B: Oh, I might as well go dead.
[01:01:16] Speaker F: Oh, so you'll have cows.
[01:01:20] Speaker A: Okay, so if you. If you're adding plus one to your 13, that makes it a 14 with fear. So I'll take a fear and that's
[01:01:27] Speaker B: a hit, this one right away.
Thirteen.
[01:01:32] Speaker A: Thirteen.
You. What's the range of your bow? Is it far?
[01:01:37] Speaker B: Far?
I think pretty sure.
[01:01:43] Speaker A: Okay, so as you as Vinnie kind of savages the first surf and you fire off a bow like an arrow from your bow, the defiant surf who's about to man mechanic, is trying to bring the cannon to bear on you.
But where does the arrow strike the surf?
[01:02:00] Speaker B: Is he no longer.
[01:02:02] Speaker A: He is no longer among the living.
[01:02:04] Speaker B: Oh, good.
Right in the eyeball.
[01:02:09] Speaker A: Okay, so the head cracks back and the figure just sort of like slumps down onto the cannon before sliding out of the. The gunner's seat and plummeting through, down through the sky to the island below.
We will interrupt Rayri to.
So with that fear that Vinnie's rolled.
[01:02:38] Speaker E: Yeah.
[01:02:39] Speaker A: These three surfs that have emerged behind Cal and Alfric they're going to make a group attack as they surge forward.
[01:02:53] Speaker C: Who.
[01:02:54] Speaker A: Who are they attacking? Who steps up to Cali? You stepping into intercept?
[01:02:59] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Yeah.
[01:03:00] Speaker A: Okay. In which case they're gonna. They're gonna swing for you as you step in the way.
But they only roll a six to hit.
[01:03:08] Speaker C: They do not hit me.
[01:03:09] Speaker A: No.
We will then. So, Alfric, you're in the midst. What's Alfred doing?
[01:03:17] Speaker D: Alfred is going to get out his rapier.
[01:03:20] Speaker A: Okay, okay, okay.
[01:03:22] Speaker D: And he will go. Actually, I think he can hit. Yeah, he'll try and hit both. So I think I can hit one and then because my multi class, I can spend two. Stress, I think it is to then hit the other.
[01:03:35] Speaker B: Okay, you got whirlwind.
[01:03:40] Speaker D: I think it's just a.
[01:03:43] Speaker A: Oh, it's for class action.
Quick.
Yeah, quick. Stabby stab.
[01:03:48] Speaker D: Yep.
Stabby stab.
[01:03:53] Speaker A: That's the official term. That's how the word, the ruling in the book is written.
[01:03:57] Speaker D: So it's a presence roll, isn't it?
[01:04:01] Speaker A: Correct. With a rapier? Yes.
[01:04:03] Speaker E: Yes.
[01:04:03] Speaker A: But if you click on the. Click on the. If you hover over the icon, it will turn into a dice. I just roll it all out for you.
[01:04:09] Speaker D: Oh, nice.
[01:04:18] Speaker A: I will say don't spend the stress, but please roll me the damage.
[01:04:26] Speaker D: That should be.
[01:04:27] Speaker B: Where is.
[01:04:28] Speaker D: Where is the damage?
[01:04:30] Speaker A: Just under your. At the bottom of your roll in the chat.
[01:04:34] Speaker D: Oh, I'm in the wrong place.
Oh, I'm so sorry. I'm lost.
[01:04:41] Speaker B: Ah.
[01:04:42] Speaker D: Oh, God, help me.
[01:04:47] Speaker F: Is this what Alfric's saying?
Yes.
[01:04:52] Speaker A: I've never murdered people so well before.
[01:05:00] Speaker D: Yeah, sure.
[01:05:04] Speaker A: Right. So this is a 3D 8 plus 12 plus 24.
And you've rolled 46 damage.
Okay, Alfric, talk me through how these three barrel towards you and Cal how body blocks them and then you step in. Just. Just talk me through what you do to these three poor souls that you sign so proud.
[01:05:30] Speaker D: Sheesh.
[01:05:31] Speaker B: Kebab.
[01:05:32] Speaker D: He is radiating excitement. He's. He's. He's learned so much over the last few months. He wants to show Cal. He just like, appears out from behind Cal in like, just a burst of excitement, drawing his rapier, and just somehow manages to get all of them in a slice on the throat.
[01:05:50] Speaker B: Just.
[01:05:51] Speaker A: Is it the excited jitters?
Amazing. Okay, so, yeah, you cut down the three serfs that had sort of like appeared behind you. Because bear in mind, the portal that you've come through is now closed. So there are reinforcements coming in from behind you as you. It doesn't look like there's any reinforcements Coming from that direction now. Alfric, are you moving up to catch up with Galena and Azakar?
[01:06:17] Speaker D: Yeah, they are motion to catch. We should. We should probably keep going.
[01:06:21] Speaker C: That was incredible. He like pats your shoulder as we.
[01:06:25] Speaker A: You go off all the training in the yard, isn't it, Cal? That's.
[01:06:30] Speaker C: Yep.
[01:06:30] Speaker E: Yep.
[01:06:32] Speaker A: Amazing. Alfric, if you're heading up. Cal, are you following after Alfric?
[01:06:36] Speaker C: Yes, and I think I will get as far as I can move, basically.
[01:06:40] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:06:41] Speaker C: Like the. The soldiers. Just to check. Are the soldiers the same? So you say that there's two stairs and then there's another central staircase. Our aim is the central staircase, isn't it?
[01:06:51] Speaker A: It seems like the curving stairs head up to the walkways that flank this gangway.
[01:06:56] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:06:57] Speaker A: But. Yeah, there is a central stair flight and. Yeah. Galena.
That's the way Galena felt the strong arcane presence from.
[01:07:05] Speaker C: Cool. Well, I know we have to disable the mana orb, so I'm assuming that's where we need to go.
So I'll kind of like gestures, like straight on.
Let's go. And I'm gonna.
[01:07:15] Speaker D: Right.
[01:07:17] Speaker C: I'm gonna see how far I can get as long as I can roll my agility. But I have quite high agility, so I'm not too concerned.
[01:07:27] Speaker F: Cool.
[01:07:28] Speaker C: I'm gonna. Wrong.
I'm just. If I got. Have I got an experience for this? I mean, I think.
[01:07:36] Speaker B: Do you also have fast AF.
[01:07:38] Speaker C: I don't. I wish I did have fast afgo normal roll for this one.
[01:07:44] Speaker A: Sure. Sure.
A 15 with hope. Take your hope. And that is high enough to get to the bottom of the stairs. So you're able to kind of duck and dive between. Duck and dodge between the. The hail of crossbow bolts.
As you get to the stairs. I'll quickly interrupt you. Galena, are you catching up?
[01:08:07] Speaker E: Yeah.
Well, do I have a chance to do a quick attack before I.
[01:08:13] Speaker A: No, absolutely.
[01:08:17] Speaker E: Cool. I will use.
Which of these books is it?
[01:08:22] Speaker C: Some books.
[01:08:23] Speaker E: Cool.
[01:08:25] Speaker B: Just gonna leave it. So many bloody potions.
[01:08:28] Speaker E: I mean, it'd be potions, but close enough. Yeah. Just rifling through like a poorly organized bag of mix.
[01:08:35] Speaker D: Yeah, it did be like that.
[01:08:36] Speaker A: Don't.
[01:08:36] Speaker D: It's like. Oh, so many of these buggers.
[01:08:39] Speaker E: Right.
Still eventually find it.
Slingshot it through the air. In the air. The little vial explodes into a crystalline spike. And I spike the dude on the cannon at the back.
[01:08:57] Speaker A: Oh, yes. Okay.
What the. The. This one back here.
[01:09:01] Speaker E: That's the guy.
[01:09:02] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:09:06] Speaker B: 16.
[01:09:07] Speaker A: That is a hit.
We'll take the fear
[01:09:13] Speaker E: spiked 11 damage.
[01:09:16] Speaker A: Okay. And the. The cruel surf that fired as a car.
The.
Yeah, this. So is it just like a spear of ice that kind of explodes out and forms into a jacket?
[01:09:31] Speaker E: I think for flavor purposes, given that she's doing all this crystal research. It's a. It's a crystalline spear that's kind of uses the mana in the air around it to make a nice spiky crystal for him.
[01:09:43] Speaker A: In which case the surf is thrown back pins to the wall. And as from this crystalline spike jutting from her chest. And then she. Her movement slows before she slumps dead.
Very good. Galena, if you.
[01:09:59] Speaker E: Yeah, absolutely.
[01:10:02] Speaker A: So you can go close for free. Romy and agility, if you want to go further.
[01:10:10] Speaker E: Yeah, I'll do the action.
[01:10:12] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:10:18] Speaker C: Nice.
[01:10:19] Speaker E: 17.
[01:10:20] Speaker A: 17.
So, yeah. Mark your hope.
[01:10:29] Speaker E: So that would be.
How do I do a.
Oh, well, that'll do.
Lovely. Yeah, that'll do.
[01:10:37] Speaker A: Okay.
Amazing. Amazing. Yes. Galena, as you gonna get to the bottom of this stairwell, you can feel the. The arcane radiation getting stronger and stronger.
Who. Alfred, as an aside, do you want to quickly catch up with Azakar Cal? Galena? Yep.
[01:10:58] Speaker D: Yes, please
[01:11:00] Speaker A: move you up to catch up for free.
[01:11:05] Speaker B: I mean, I can get to, I guess the cannon if I'm close.
I mean, I can roll an agility. And I can probably get to the top of the stairwell.
[01:11:18] Speaker A: I will. What I'll do as an aside just for off the back of Galena's fear, two surfs, two of the reinforcements kind of run along the gangway towards you.
[01:11:35] Speaker B: I'm faster than them.
I will run through them.
[01:11:41] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:11:42] Speaker B: Around then. Try and meet the guys at the top of the stairs.
[01:11:46] Speaker A: Okay, so you could get to.
Yeah. Okay, so you get to. So roll me an agility first as you get to there.
And then that'll dictate whether they. They might get a thing against you.
[01:12:02] Speaker B: 21.
[01:12:03] Speaker A: So you do get there that. So I gain a fear. I'll immediately spend it.
2. So they fire their two crossbows at you as you come barreling towards them.
[01:12:15] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:12:16] Speaker A: And they roll a 15 to hit.
[01:12:20] Speaker B: Nope.
[01:12:21] Speaker A: Okay. The two arrows, two crossbow volts go wide. And then you're able to. Yes.
[01:12:27] Speaker B: This kind of imagine she just kind of bounces over them just like.
[01:12:30] Speaker A: So you can get to about there, I reckon.
[01:12:35] Speaker B: Nice, nice, nice, nice, nice.
[01:12:37] Speaker A: Okay, so as a car down the
[01:12:40] Speaker B: stairs
[01:12:44] Speaker A: come round the corner.
Rayri, from your elevator position, you can see down into.
Like you can see down onto this area that lies beyond the stairwell that Alfric, Cal and Galena are Currently at the bottom of the.
What seems to be like a pool of like magma, but you quickly realize is not magma, but instead like hotly burning liquidized mana bubbles underneath this plate, this kind of metal grate platform in the center of this circular cog like platform is what looks to be like a. An intricate astrolabe of sorts with a huge globule of burning orange magic. It reminds you of the floating lava orbs that you kind of danced between in the plains of Merathesos.
But it would seem that this orb is feeding down the kind of. You can see rune lines radiating out from it that are seemingly powering the rest of the weapons that you can hear kind of firing elsewhere on the ship. I'll go ahead and remove the walls for everyone else. So now that Ray we've seen it, you should all be able to see it.
But as you Ray, as you sort of like peel around the corner and kind of get to the top of the staircase, you see a.
A differently dressed individual.
Kind of step forward with a. Like a visored helmet. And as you.
Upon seeing you, this engineer bellows, protect the mana orb. Protect the matter orb. And I'm gonna spend a fear to make a targeted shot shot towards you spending another fear.
And that's a. Not a 12 to hit.
[01:14:58] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:14:58] Speaker A: Okay, this. So this engineer brings up a pistol, like a fire or a firearm pistol.
A bright bolt of orange mana flies towards you and swings with this past your head.
Who would. Who wants to go next? As a car's not been for a
[01:15:17] Speaker C: while, I have a question.
That's all right. But yeah, I definitely want that's car to go next. Just. I feel like Carl on seeing this will be like.
Like start feeling like he's taking commands. He won't actually like go yet, but he'll be like, Alfred, Galena, go to the orb.
Ascar, are you with me?
[01:15:39] Speaker A: Yes, let's.
[01:15:44] Speaker C: You're very good at helping us.
[01:15:49] Speaker A: Okay, what's. How's Azakar springing into action?
Because as you see this large mana orb, you acknowledge this is most likely the mana orb that Eri was speaking of.
So I will introduce the disable the mana orb clock.
[01:16:09] Speaker F: In that case, Azakar is going to. How far is this engineer? Oh, he's very far.
Okay, I'm gonna spend an agility to try and run far towards this engineer.
[01:16:31] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:16:45] Speaker B: Down the stairs.
[01:16:49] Speaker A: Oh, seasick.
[01:16:50] Speaker B: Oh, oh no.
[01:16:53] Speaker C: Do not like to fly.
[01:16:54] Speaker A: Oh no.
[01:16:56] Speaker B: Nobody mentioned this.
[01:16:58] Speaker A: Okay.
You go to search forward and clearly you're like, no, that Would be a silly idea because in front of you there's just a hail of crossbow bolts that kind of pin you in place.
Never mind.
As you have.
I'll pass it over to me.
I'm gonna interrupt by having so two of these surfs.
Actually, the two surfs that rampart riri. They are gonna close in towards you, Rayri. And they are going to.
One of them is going to swing a sword in your direction or. Oh, that's a seven to hit.
Okay.
A car. Do you want to have another go?
[01:17:55] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:17:56] Speaker F: I will go close instead.
[01:17:58] Speaker E: Yes.
[01:17:59] Speaker B: Christmas stakes.
[01:18:02] Speaker F: I'm guessing this engineer is now in far range.
[01:18:08] Speaker A: Probably. Yes.
[01:18:09] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:18:10] Speaker F: I'll do a bolt beacon at him then.
[01:18:12] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:18:17] Speaker F: I am going to spend a hope for keen sight.
[01:18:21] Speaker A: Yes. As an experience, it's. It is quite hard to see for the. The heat haze was blurring your vision from the burning mana below.
[01:18:34] Speaker F: That's a 15 with fear. I will probably spend too stress to make that a hope instead.
[01:18:41] Speaker A: A 15 with hope is a miss.
[01:18:44] Speaker F: Can I spend. Can I spend a prayer Dice?
[01:18:47] Speaker A: You can spend a paradise. What spirit ice would you like to spend?
[01:18:50] Speaker F: I'm gonna use. Use one. I'm gonna use one of my ones. But as part of my devout. I can re roll that one.
[01:18:57] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:18:58] Speaker F: So I'm gonna do it in here because I'm not sure how to do it. So let me just go with that.
It's a one again.
[01:19:10] Speaker A: So make that a 16.
A 16 with. With hope is a hit. Yay.
Cool. Okay. Roll for dimage.
[01:19:22] Speaker F: Ro for demage.
Okay, that's a nice lovely 20.
[01:19:31] Speaker A: 20 damage.
So this bolt beacon, as it arcs out the end of your scimitar, it strikes the engineer kind of wings him on the shoulder for major damage.
And the engineer marks two hit points and grunts as you strike him. I'm going to.
I'm gonna interrupt and like having just shouted sort of like protect the orb. The engineer. Oh, like staggers a few steps and then lifts a hand up and chat appears to channel magic into the mana orb. So I'm gonna go ahead and spend one of his stress.
And the or is encased in this protective field.
[01:20:23] Speaker C: Well, that's fair.
[01:20:25] Speaker F: Rubbish.
[01:20:28] Speaker A: Who wants to go? Cow's next?
[01:20:31] Speaker C: Yeah, let's go. Let's go. I'm gonna. So seeing that I'm going to.
I think I'm gonna try and deal with these. The chaps on the end who are like on the side. You're probably going to come in.
I've already said to those that know arcane to do their thing. I do not. I. All I know is how to fight, so I will focus on that and I'm gonna head towards. So let me just measure out. I think I can attack these. Oh, that's not. That's not it.
Where's my ruler? That's my ruler. I'm gonna go.
Okay, so yeah, I need to do an agility check first.
Let's do that.
And I'm going to use my ex as you know. I'll say.
[01:21:14] Speaker A: So you're heading, sorry, heading to the two surfs on the.
To the left. Okay. So you go close 21 with hope. 21 with hope. And you get the rest of the way.
[01:21:25] Speaker C: Yeah, so I'm gonna. I, I have, I have. So yeah, let's go. Let's. Again, it's going to be broadsword and Spell render. Get both of them at once. So. And this time I am going to add one of my experiences. So I'm going to add the blade and we're going to see where that takes us.
[01:21:50] Speaker A: Yeah, that's a hit.
[01:21:52] Speaker C: That's also the plus the plus three from spell render. So that's. Yeah, so it actually is 28, but I'm going to roll that damage.
I'm also going to put Unstoppable on as well, which I should have done before. So that's. I only get a D4 because I'm still early days in my. No, no, no, no, no, no.
[01:22:13] Speaker A: You get.
[01:22:14] Speaker C: You get full blown D6. Hey, D6. So yeah, one D6. So I'm on one from my Unstoppable.
Let me double check what that does because I
[01:22:26] Speaker A: plus one this term.
[01:22:28] Speaker C: Okay, cool. Right. Anyway, That's 19 and that's hitting both.
Both because of my Spell Render as well.
[01:22:44] Speaker A: Is Spell Render doing the whole fizzberry thing?
[01:22:48] Speaker C: Yeah, so as I slice one, it will just leave my hand and slice the other.
[01:22:53] Speaker A: Okay. So it cuts down the two surfs in front of you. They teeter backwards off the platform into the bubbling, viscous mana below and they just.
And there's just a singular bubbles that come to the surface to mark their passing.
And as Spell Render scythes through the second one, it shoots out across the the gap onto the.
There's a panic surf who was moving to flank and it kind of hits him in the side and as he like takes the wounds to the ribs, he teeters over and falls off the platform down to the island below.
19 damage.
[01:23:36] Speaker C: I. Okay, to continue for a moment. Is that okay with everyone else?
I Just wanted to move towards the Engineer and get into to me with him. Be a distraction. Absolutely. So can I. Do I have to roll agility for that one?
[01:23:51] Speaker A: So it will be agility to get to him.
[01:23:53] Speaker C: Let's do that.
[01:24:02] Speaker A: I'll move you in.
So you barrel. Yeah, you like grease lightning. You barrel in towards the Engineer and like the Engineer sort of like peers at you through this kind of this spiked green vise. Like a spiked golden helmet with a green visor.
And yeah, you see your reflection in the visor as you approach in. As this Engineer has his hand up channeling manner into the arcane orb.
[01:24:31] Speaker C: Cool. Does anyone else want to go?
I'm happy if anyone else wants to go. I can. I can do another fighty fight in a minute. So I'm good.
[01:24:38] Speaker B: Well, I think we just got to get rid of this engineer.
[01:24:41] Speaker C: Yeah, cool.
[01:24:44] Speaker A: I will.
[01:24:44] Speaker C: I'll give him give a clear hands then. Okay, so that's advanced broadsword and spell render. Then again on this chap, I assume because he's magical, I get. It's the.
[01:24:56] Speaker A: You get plus three damage.
[01:24:58] Speaker C: Plus three damage. Cool. I'm going to add the blade to that as well.
Yeah, let's. Let's do this.
[01:25:06] Speaker A: So you'll be plus three because he's a magic user and your Unstoppable will now be +2.2.
Cool.
So a 15 with fear is a miss.
[01:25:24] Speaker C: Does that include everything? Because I haven't activated Unstoppable on the Guardian.
[01:25:29] Speaker A: Unstoppable is on damage.
[01:25:32] Speaker C: Okay, sure. Can I use my paradise, please?
[01:25:35] Speaker A: You may. Which paradise would you like to spend?
[01:25:39] Speaker C: The two.
[01:25:40] Speaker A: Okay, so 17 with fear is a hit roll for damage and then we'll separately add +2 for Unstoppable and +3 for Spell Render.
[01:25:50] Speaker C: Cool. Right.
Let's do that.
There's 25 points of damage.
Okay, Just making sure there's nothing here that I need to know about that would be quite useful.
[01:26:05] Speaker A: So it's 25, 30 damage all and told.
[01:26:08] Speaker C: Okay, cool.
[01:26:11] Speaker A: Happy with 30 damage?
[01:26:14] Speaker C: No. No, I'm not. Can I.
So.
No, that's fine. I'm. I'm happy. I'm happy for now.
[01:26:21] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:26:21] Speaker C: Happy for now.
[01:26:22] Speaker A: That is severe damage.
Theo, talk me through what happens to this engineer.
[01:26:29] Speaker C: All right. Okay, cool. Right, Well, I think Cal moves forward.
Forward with his blade. And I feel like.
Like the Engineer doesn't seem to be very equipped for fighting. He's more magic based. Right. From what I understand.
And I feel like spell render as well knows he's a magic user and I Feel like the moment the blade. Like, I feel like sometimes the blade kind of does what it wants when it comes to magic users. And if Cal wants to get rid of someone, the like, I think Cal and the blade have kind of got a symbiotic thing going on now. So as Cal knows he wants to fight, the Spellrender just, like, gets up into the helmet, like, under the visor, and you just hear the gurgling and the blood slipping down the helmet.
[01:27:16] Speaker A: Very good. And yes, as the engineer slumps to the ground, the outstretched arm falls away and the protective shield around the mana all fades away with the Engineers life force. Very good, Cal.
Moving into Galena.
[01:27:37] Speaker E: Right.
I think if I just jog up to the old. The old orb.
Happy to do a knowledge roll if you'd like for it.
Can I see if there is a.
A quick and efficient way to disable or destroy this?
That is quick. Going to be quicker than just hitting it a lot of times.
[01:28:06] Speaker A: Well, so you can see that this orb is seemingly kind of being contained. So it's. It's liquid mana, which in itself is a highly dangerous and volatile way to keep mana. Like this is horrendous.
You've heard stories that there are, like, reservoirs of liquid mana under the Crystal Tower north of New Prosper. The Crystal Tower that you kind of traipse through once upon a time with Comstock and.
And Addie and so on.
But for them to be kind of using this containment field to keep it in place like this is. This is almost like a powder keg in a way.
So arguably, if you're still on the ship, you'll be able to, like, make it inert.
If you can kind of solidify it, then, yeah, it won't.
It fundamentally, if you cool it, then that will work. But fundamentally, you explain to me how you're doing it and then tell me which ability you want to roll.
[01:29:08] Speaker E: Do we need to, like, bash our way through a barrier or anything first? Or we'll just.
[01:29:11] Speaker A: No. Now that arcane shields moved away, like. Like you could reach in and put your finger in it. I wouldn't recommend it, given what you. Given what happened to those surfs that fell in.
[01:29:21] Speaker E: Weird magic things in my time.
[01:29:23] Speaker D: Does it need levitating?
[01:29:27] Speaker E: Let's see. I'm just seeing if I've got any spells that might. Might be helpful.
[01:29:32] Speaker F: And we put it over there.
[01:29:36] Speaker C: Just lift it up and just drop it into the fire.
[01:29:40] Speaker B: No, at the time. Pony. I just need more of Warfire. Just put it.
[01:29:44] Speaker D: Another huge explosion.
[01:29:49] Speaker E: Are there any like controls or tools here that I could use to potentially try and alter this. Or am I best off just checking?
[01:29:56] Speaker A: I mean, if. If you fundamentally want to skill check it. Like, we're just on a clock. So.
Yeah. If you want to skill check it down, then.
[01:30:03] Speaker E: Oh, yeah. Cool.
[01:30:04] Speaker A: So just say. Just describe to me what ability you're using, what it. What it looks like you're doing.
[01:30:11] Speaker E: I will use knowledge. I'll chuck my arcane expert on there.
And. Yeah, I just want to mess with the controls and see if I can find a way to disable it that won't kill us all.
[01:30:29] Speaker A: Sure. Sure. Okay. Roll me a yeah. Romy and Oz check. Looking for difficulty 16.
Please take your hope. And with a success. With hope. That is two segments of the. Disable the mana orbit. Yeah. What is it you're doing to it to counteract it?
[01:30:52] Speaker E: So the little kind of cranes around the outside.
I'm sort of maneuvering those to grasp the.
The rings that are floating around it because I figured out that the.
Those rings are what is keeping it in the liquid state and keeping it from solidifying, and that if those are stopped, then it'll hopefully stop it without it blowing up.
[01:31:25] Speaker A: Okay. Amazing. So the ma. Yeah. The mana begins to dull, like, dim in. In brightness.
[01:31:33] Speaker C: Do.
[01:31:34] Speaker A: Do you want to maintain the spotlight and keep going? Roll with hope.
[01:31:40] Speaker E: Anyone else want to have a crack?
[01:31:42] Speaker B: I've got a reasonably. All right. Tinker so I can tinker it.
I've got it. All right.
[01:31:50] Speaker A: I will.
There are a number of serfs on their way to you collectively.
[01:31:58] Speaker B: So if I just. Can I just jump down from here?
[01:32:02] Speaker A: Yeah,
[01:32:04] Speaker B: it's gonna jump down.
[01:32:07] Speaker A: Let me.
Not on top of me.
[01:32:13] Speaker D: I think I might be able to help with giving you a little bit of time, both of you, to tinker
[01:32:19] Speaker B: this out while we're over here. Why am I over Dan? Why am I over there?
[01:32:23] Speaker A: Let me stop.
You're colliding with walls.
What have you done?
[01:32:36] Speaker E: Absolutely mad.
[01:32:37] Speaker B: I haven't done it. I haven't touched it.
[01:32:43] Speaker A: Oh, I just delete you
[01:32:48] Speaker E: so they fall into the lava.
[01:32:53] Speaker F: Doesn't take fire damage.
[01:32:55] Speaker E: Oh, yeah.
[01:32:56] Speaker D: She's fine.
[01:32:58] Speaker A: Okay. So, Ray. Yeah. You. You and Vinny leap down.
Are you tinkering with the orb?
[01:33:06] Speaker B: I will tinker with the orb.
[01:33:07] Speaker A: Get out of the way.
[01:33:09] Speaker B: Cussler as a car.
[01:33:13] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:33:16] Speaker B: Right. So it's gonna be. Can I use a.
What is it? Finesse? Isn't it gonna use 4chand as a. Because it's hot all about.
Vinnie is an expert in 4chan he's just a comf. He's a complete for Janet.
[01:33:48] Speaker D: No, cancel Vinnie.
[01:33:52] Speaker A: Oh, no.
[01:33:53] Speaker B: It's a child with fear. Oh, no. I've got. I've got rally.
[01:33:57] Speaker A: Yeah, I think you've got rally.
[01:33:59] Speaker B: I've got a rally because I use my use of prayer instead paradise, didn't I?
[01:34:03] Speaker F: Okay.
[01:34:04] Speaker B: D. Was it D? Eight?
[01:34:06] Speaker E: Yes.
13.
[01:34:11] Speaker B: 14. 15.
[01:34:12] Speaker A: A 15 with fear is a fail.
[01:34:17] Speaker F: Would you like a paradise? I've got another one.
[01:34:20] Speaker B: Sixteen. Oh, God.
[01:34:21] Speaker E: I thought it was 16. Yeah, there you go.
[01:34:28] Speaker A: Okay. A 16 with fear. Yeah. Ray, we. Talk me through what you're doing.
[01:34:33] Speaker B: I think she's just. She's just looking at it like she would like a forge. And she's just kind of like looking for little vents that she can close and open. So she's just trying to. Just kind of like a little jigsaw puzzle just moving around little vents, trying to like, cool it, remove the oxygen from it or.
[01:34:53] Speaker A: Yes, well, there are some vents that you can open to fundamentally start like the emergency events to start calling the manor.
It's a success with fear is one segment on the clock. Okay, so we're on three of six.
Does Africa One have a go?
[01:35:13] Speaker D: Yeah, Alfric can.
I don't know how much use he'll be in this particular scenario, but.
[01:35:19] Speaker A: Sorry, beg my pardon. I'm gonna interrupt. Alfric. Sorry. Just because there was a roll with fear.
We're going to.
Where do we. Who are we gonna gang up on?
We're gonna gang up on.
[01:35:37] Speaker C: Bring it. Come on.
[01:35:39] Speaker A: Come on.
Oh, no.
So the two. The two serfs that were bearing down on Rayri. They also leap down, but Ray's not the first person they encounter. It's Azaka.
So as a car.
4.
Four serfs move to engage Rayri.
But I can only assume that you step in the way.
[01:36:05] Speaker E: Yeah.
[01:36:07] Speaker A: I will spend a fear for them to make a group attack.
And they're gonna swing at you for six to hit.
Okay. So you've just. You become a blur. Kind of parry, kind of fighting with four. Four separate.
[01:36:28] Speaker B: Maybe doesn't even aware. She just opening vents and closing vents.
[01:36:33] Speaker A: Sorry. Beg my pardon. Now we jump back to Azakar. To Alfric. Sorry.
[01:36:38] Speaker D: Alfric is running up the steps towards the gang over here.
I think he's gonna cuddle up close to Galina.
[01:36:47] Speaker C: Hi.
[01:36:48] Speaker D: Hi. One second.
And he is going to cast.
Where are my books?
Where are my books?
[01:36:58] Speaker B: You could have cast. Where are your books?
Spell is cold.
Cold going through all of her potions. You go through
[01:37:13] Speaker C: the books.
[01:37:13] Speaker F: Are so hard to read in found out.
[01:37:18] Speaker E: I've got a notepad open with a little bit of like what my books do, just so I can remember it.
[01:37:24] Speaker D: He's going to cast rune circle around them, which creates a temporary magical circle on the ground where you stand. All adversaries within melee range who enter the melee who or who enter melee range, take 2d12 plus 4 magic damage and are knocked back to very close range. Okay, so basically just give us a bit more time.
[01:37:42] Speaker A: Yes, yes, yes.
[01:37:44] Speaker D: So I mark a stress and I cast it.
[01:37:46] Speaker A: Okay, that's.
That's that one.
Yeah. Okay. So there is a rune circle around you melee range. If you bear that in mind in case anyone gets a bit too close, I think the closest to you is currently. Yeah, very close. Okay. So very nice. Alfric.
Who wants to step in next? Rabies open events? Galena's doing more magic is what Does Galina want to step back in?
[01:38:16] Speaker E: Oh, yeah, we know.
[01:38:17] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:38:17] Speaker E: We have another crack.
[01:38:19] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:38:21] Speaker E: Okay. Just keep doing what I'm doing. If that's an acceptable solution.
[01:38:24] Speaker A: Yeah, if you want. So another knowledge deck.
[01:38:28] Speaker E: Yeah.
[01:38:32] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[01:38:33] Speaker E: And I've realized that because I'm. Because I'm wizard style, I can spend stress and get double XP on an experience use. So.
[01:38:44] Speaker A: Wow.
[01:38:46] Speaker E: I don't even have to spend the hope then. It's amazing.
[01:38:50] Speaker A: Marcus dressed instead of spending Hope.
[01:38:58] Speaker B: Rally.
[01:38:58] Speaker A: Do you want to spend a valley dice?
[01:39:00] Speaker E: Yes.
[01:39:01] Speaker A: 14.
[01:39:02] Speaker E: Yes. I desire that all you need two is I do wish them.
[01:39:06] Speaker A: So I mark up a fear.
[01:39:08] Speaker B: Nice.
[01:39:09] Speaker A: Nice noise. And so 19ft is a pass.
[01:39:24] Speaker E: Yeah, I think.
I think with the fear, one of the mechanical arms I'm controlling goes just like a bit too close to the orb and like there are some sparks for a second.
[01:39:36] Speaker A: So, yes, as you. You roll a success with fear. Yeah. As you're kind of manipulating it and yeah, things are just a bit more loud and chaotic and not in a good way.
[01:39:48] Speaker E: The controls for sprite hands either. It's so annoying.
[01:39:52] Speaker A: What happens is as one of the arms gets a bit too close, the, like this orb is beginning to solidify, but there's a sudden sort of like shudder of energy that it kind of bursts out like a small kind of kind of magma eruption.
And as this mana detonates out, I need everyone on this platform.
So basically everyone but Cal to roll me a reaction roll.
[01:40:27] Speaker B: Is it magic fire?
[01:40:30] Speaker A: It is, actually, yes.
So which is.
[01:40:34] Speaker D: Is that agility?
[01:40:37] Speaker A: Agility.
And then I'll roll it for the poor serfs.
[01:40:42] Speaker B: Do I need to do anything?
[01:40:43] Speaker A: Just roll For Vinnie, I guess.
[01:40:45] Speaker B: No, because Vin takes my steps.
[01:40:50] Speaker A: But Vinny is not fireproof, yo.
[01:40:52] Speaker B: But he takes my stats, so he is fireproof.
[01:40:57] Speaker A: You shield him with your body.
[01:40:59] Speaker B: You don't know about Vinnie. He could be fine.
He's made of Teflon
[01:41:05] Speaker A: hours.
Okay, let me just quickly roll my guys out.
So the dc. Oh, one of them passed.
Right. So what have we got? We've got 17 for Alfred. That's a pass. 17,000 cars. Pass. Glean with a 10. Unfortunately, not a pass.
[01:41:24] Speaker E: And.
[01:41:25] Speaker A: Yeah, that's it. So three of the surfs are cooked by this detonation of, like, burning mana that erupts out as a car. And Alfred, well, so the damage bring. Pardon?
[01:41:41] Speaker B: Is.
[01:41:44] Speaker A: So Galena, as this kind of flame, this magical flame washes over you, you take 22 damage.
Everyone else takes half. So 11 damage.
[01:41:54] Speaker B: I pay men.
[01:41:59] Speaker E: I'll mark an armor.
[01:42:00] Speaker A: Okay, Perfect.
[01:42:01] Speaker E: And because that's gonna be major for me, I will.
Yeah. A little. A little trinket I've got around my neck. Some of the.
Some of the magic is, like, sucked into it, and then the trinket just, like, crumbles into dust.
And I'll use my tether talisman to reduce it by one damage.
[01:42:22] Speaker A: Oh, very good. Very, very good.
Okay. So, yes, you've all just been buffeted by this kind of wave of heat.
Who wants to what? Gillian, do you want to try and try another one, or you happy to let someone else have a poke?
[01:42:40] Speaker E: No, I think after that, she's like, who.
[01:42:42] Speaker B: Whose idea was this stupid thing anyway?
[01:42:46] Speaker A: It was yours.
[01:42:47] Speaker F: Who asked us to come here?
[01:42:49] Speaker A: Not the ball.
[01:42:50] Speaker E: Not coming here, you idiot. The ball.
[01:42:53] Speaker A: Call me idiot.
Tell you what, as you answered, we'll put you in the spotlight. What do you do?
I'm sure. You idiot.
[01:43:05] Speaker F: I guess.
[01:43:07] Speaker A: Okay, he's just gonna hit it.
[01:43:09] Speaker F: Well, I think he's gonna. I think he's gonna try and bend the.
The rings that are sort of going around it to really sort of put it out of order.
[01:43:18] Speaker A: Okay. Okay.
[01:43:22] Speaker E: Just ignoring this surf while you're doing this.
They're like, guys, come on.
[01:43:27] Speaker A: I could do it. I'm imagining you're fighting with your left hand and then just holding on to these metal bars of your right. One moment.
So are you. Are you strength checking to fundamentally catch the arms of the hoops of the astrolabe? Like, hold them together?
[01:43:44] Speaker E: Yeah, boy.
[01:43:45] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. Roll me a strength check, sir.
[01:43:50] Speaker F: 21 with fear.
[01:43:51] Speaker A: 21 with fear is a success.
That will be one segment. Do you have anything that weirdly makes
[01:43:58] Speaker F: fear hope I do. I have fearless. I'll spend too stress.
[01:44:01] Speaker A: Okay. Spend too stressed. And so as you turn that into a 21 with hope, please mark your hope. And as you grab the like the arms of the astrolabe and like as each one kind of rotates around and impacts into your hand and your wrist, like everyone you can hear the sound of like the, the heat of the heated metal burning against a car's hand.
But as a car, as you sort of like grit through it, the, all the hoops kind of come into alignment under your grip and without the, the sort of like the constant rotation of them around the mana orb between the efforts of Galena and Rayri. You watch as this mana orb slowly begins to harden. And then the lights just kind of dissipate out of it. And you watch as the, the runic lines underfoot begin to dim as their power source is kind of rendered inert.
And as that happens, you can hear more alarms kind of ringing out through like through the ship. But then the sounds of the, the thunderous kind of arcane cannon fire that's kind of blasting towards Mary's mage tower that begins to slow until it eventually stops.
And your, the little necklaces are little pebbles around your neck flickering to life. And you hear a meridian shout. That's it. I think you've done it. Now make your way to the throne room. That's where you'll find Gulvarian. He shouts and then yeah, you can, yeah, you hear like the ship begins to lurch as the kind of the cannonade fire from the battle tower begins to intensify now that it doesn't have to deflect that spend so much mana deflecting incoming shots.
So we, yeah, as you, as you render that inert cal in front of you. But underneath the large kind of golden statues of these kind of winged horned creatures, you can see a doorway that leads up into the ship proper.
And sort of like with Azakar fighting a bit of a rear guard or as a car and cow fighting a bit of a rear guard against the surfs that are scrambling to kind of intercept you as you move into the ship and towards the throne room.
Let's have a quick break.
Okay, so we will be going on a quick 10 minute break where we'll carry on with this, this, this romp through the airship.
Yes, thank you for watching. Those of you already watching, subscribe and follow if you haven't already. Give us a like, if you haven't already. We'll see you all in 10 minutes.
[01:48:54] Speaker D: Sa.
[01:50:11] Speaker A: Sa.
Sa.
[01:52:18] Speaker B: Satan.
Sa.
Sa.
[01:59:10] Speaker A: One.
Hello world. Welcome back to Explorers of Elsewhere Live. Hi, my name is Dim Dan. We are the explorers. We being Libby, Theo, Tim, Georgia and Nate.
Hello, hello, hello, hello.
And hello to which like over in chat, welcome.
We rejoin our.
Our B team, our. Our new cast of characters for this first finale part aboard the Gilded Pyre throne ship of House Stonethraft, one of the Ace Ofari high houses. You have successfully just disabled the large kind of mana orb that are powering the arcane cannons that were currently kind of bombarding the battle mage tower that you've all teleported in on from Ava Moore.
And yeah, we rejoin you as the. The five of you, Galena, Cal, Alfric, Azakar and Ravi and Vinnie, kind of make your way at pace through the halls of this. I mean for all extensive purposes it is a flying castle cathedral. There is.
There's this kind of that all of the architecture within the within the ship is undeniably beautiful.
This kind of esoteric gothic look. There's lots of overhanging gilded animals peering down at you from arched vaults, arched like vaulted arch corridors.
The. The floor underneath is a smooth polished checkable black white design with lots of sumptuous like luxurious rich royal green drapes and tapestries hanging from the walls.
As you're kind of speeding through the halls fighting a running battle against the.
The like the soldiers, the crew of the Gilded Pyre. We're going to stop firstly with.
With Rayri. What one thing in this ship kind of catches your notice and whether that's something about the ship, something about the crew, something about the defenses, something about the layout. Like what catches Ray's attention as you're zipping through on your way to the throne room.
[02:01:43] Speaker B: That it?
Yeah, it is.
To just pure excess like unnecessarily are just unbelievable. Like it's. She's never seen anything like who has a ship like. Like who.
[02:02:03] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:02:03] Speaker B: Who needs this?
[02:02:04] Speaker A: By. By comparison this ship makes the halls of like the mages quarters in Ava Moore look peasant like.
[02:02:15] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:02:15] Speaker A: By comparison.
[02:02:16] Speaker B: Just never seen anything so regal and just unabashed. Unabashed, unashamedly rich.
[02:02:24] Speaker C: Yeah. Strange context. Is it a little bit like. Is it like Steve Bonnet with a pirate ship sort of vibe? Like it just feels like overly excessive.
[02:02:33] Speaker B: It's like. It's like the palace of Versailles.
Just unnecessarily gaudy. Just like.
[02:02:40] Speaker A: Yes.
[02:02:41] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:02:42] Speaker A: Perfect. Okay. So as Ray Reese, you're sort of like. As you're distracted by all of this shiny unfettered opulence.
What's the thing that catches cow's eye?
I think it can be the. Can be the crew, can be the ship, can be the layout, can be anything you like.
[02:03:01] Speaker C: I think actually it's just like kind of similar to Ray, the pompousness. I feel like there's probably a lot of like family regalia around. Like look how good we are. And I think it kind of just loads. You know, there's lots of portraits of lots like lots of like self important stone crap imagery all over the place. Like that's what like. And I think because as far as I'm aware that the focus is like from, from memory, like the whole red eye thing. They take that with like a massive prideful stance of like we've got red eyes for a reason. And there's portraits of all these people with, with red eyes in like, like and like really like, like because not air but like extreme poses of these particular family members that Godavian has wanted to like show off in situations they would never.
That's kind of what I'm imagining like extreme versions of like, like battles and things that like Cal was in the war. He knew what they looked like. They did not look like.
[02:04:07] Speaker A: Does it, does it ring with the same kind of tone as that very bombastic painting of Archmage Ulic fighting like hanging up?
[02:04:18] Speaker C: It's absolutely that, but like much worse all over the place.
[02:04:23] Speaker A: I would argue. You would also notice if you're kind of as you're looking at this, these paintings that all of these paintings, their age implies that they were, they were created like pre war.
But the fact that someone has gone in to paint in red irises on all the Sanguvar more recently. Okay. So yeah, you, you see this sort of like the history, the tapestry of how stone thrash through all these. Yeah. Like self importizing, like self grand.
[02:04:49] Speaker B: It's like one of like Griffin in like all like page boy outfit,
[02:04:55] Speaker D: little bowl cut.
[02:05:00] Speaker A: And he's ever so slightly boss eyed
[02:05:03] Speaker B: also like with a little King Charles cavalier on his lap.
[02:05:08] Speaker A: And also with red eyes. With red eyes.
We'll swing on to Galena. What, what catches Galena's attention as you move through this ship.
[02:05:20] Speaker E: So I think it's, it's something quite small which is that there are a lot of these portraits are illuminated by kind of these. These little arcane crystal lights that they've had constructed and they have these kind of big safety guards around all of them. And it's like a massively excessive for what is actually necessary and just the contrast between having these tiny little safety grills and these lights when she's just seen like an absolutely heinous behemoth of
[02:05:54] Speaker A: a like complete unguarded fission reactor.
[02:05:58] Speaker E: Ridiculously unsafe. Stupid idea. About 20 meters away. It's just like the.
It gives the impression of it being like it's all for show.
[02:06:08] Speaker A: Yes.
Okay. Amazing. Amazing.
We're certainly painting a picture. What's Alfric notice?
[02:06:16] Speaker D: I think Alfred.
[02:06:20] Speaker F: Yeah,
[02:06:23] Speaker D: we've got that wallpaper.
I think he notices. I think the. The crew members up here that we see, possibly maybe even the ones that we were murdering downstairs.
Their uniforms are.
Do not look very practical for members of an airship. I imagine they're kind of like the big puffy sleeves, like filigree coats. Kind of like they look more like servants at a masquerade ball or like at a really expensive rich party than they do on a big airship that is currently being attacked and also attacking us.
[02:07:00] Speaker A: Yes, yes. There is certainly a bit of a dissonance as what you would assume to be sort of like waiting staff uniforms are being kind of squished down by breastplates and weapons that clearly don't belong to the owner. Whoever's with.
[02:07:15] Speaker B: I'd see you with a barman's friend.
[02:07:20] Speaker A: Okay, so. So I, I think, yeah, Alfred's kind of picking up on this slight sort of like falseness of the. The facade, especially in relation comparison to like the, the opulence that the others have picked up on.
Amazing. And finally, what's Azakar notice, I think
[02:07:40] Speaker F: in between sort of like these portraits that we're sort of running past, like somewhere in such like ostentatious like manner is actually like sort of like a. A big sort of gilded alcove that is obviously a shrine to a khan.
So it's got like, it's. And it's like in black and gold and it's, you know, it's got like all these dragons sort of like around it, like engraved and obviously like black onyx or something along those things.
[02:08:16] Speaker A: A calm. And his seven. His seven loyal. Yeah, okay.
I'm imagining, yeah, it's this almost like black marble, but then with the like gold veins that kind of running through its. Or. Okay. Yes. So, yeah, that's the. Like you all enter into this kind of hall where you see this, this alcove and it's.
I mean, I can only imagine it's quite shocking to see such a.
Such a prominent display of devotion to the Betrayer, like kind of dwarfing this, this alcove in which Case. Yeah. As you sort of see this and then you kind of peel off as more, more serfs kind of rush in as you're moving down a corridor.
I think who, who would we argue between the five of us? Who's the most attentive, the most perceptive or the most prone to noticing something?
[02:09:18] Speaker B: Baby, very possibly she's got pretty high.
Yeah.
[02:09:23] Speaker A: Okay, so Rayri is. You're sort of like looking around.
[02:09:26] Speaker B: Oh.
[02:09:26] Speaker A: Kind of doing the sightseeing gaze.
[02:09:30] Speaker B: They've got a gift shop.
[02:09:33] Speaker A: You, as you're heading down the corridor, you notice that there is a door into this rather lush like opulent looking bedroom. This, this door's open and there's just something that kind of catches your eye and kind of makes you go for a moment and like as you take a moment to look in, you can see that in this room is what appears to be like an ace of Our lady. Like a dark skinned ace of Our lady in a wheelchair.
And as you peer in, you notice her turn to look at you and there's a look of like curiosity mixed with her. There's not, it's not confusion, it is one of curiosity.
But yeah, you notice that she's just got her arms like folded across her lap and yeah, she, she, she's sitting, she's sitting very still and just kind of sees you looking in towards her and she gives you, she gives you a curious look.
[02:10:49] Speaker E: Take the shot.
[02:10:55] Speaker F: She's in a wheelchair.
[02:10:56] Speaker A: She can't move. Quick
[02:10:59] Speaker B: as, as.
Yeah, it's like rabies running past. Just kind of clocks it and then just kind of like skids back. It just kind of. It's like Vinnie and her are just like caught in her eyes.
And I just kind of look back and I guess everyone is still.
[02:11:19] Speaker A: You can see that like as you glance around the room you note that there is evidence that there must have been like other people in this room perhaps looking at her because this, this ace of our woman hasn't moved since she glocked eyes on her.
But like it's clear that she must have some sort of waiting staff, but they seem to have abandoned her.
[02:11:49] Speaker B: Hi.
[02:11:52] Speaker A: And the ace of our like, you know, she can't even nod her head. So she just like her eyelids kind of narrow slightly in an odd kind of welcome. And she.
Hello.
She says. And her, her quiet voice just seems to cut through the sounds of the chaos that's engulfing the rest of the airship.
[02:12:17] Speaker B: You might, I think, I think this ship might be like under attack, maybe by us.
So I'm not sure if you want to stay here or you might.
[02:12:28] Speaker A: You know, I was curious to know what it was, what the commotion was, so. I appreciate the information, little sprite.
[02:12:41] Speaker B: Not so little.
[02:12:45] Speaker A: You don't look like you belong here.
[02:12:50] Speaker B: No.
[02:12:53] Speaker A: What are your plans?
[02:13:00] Speaker B: There's no dads here.
[02:13:06] Speaker C: How far along is everyone else? Like, can we. Can we notice that?
[02:13:09] Speaker A: I mean, if he had stopped, I. I think Ray Reed certainly would have stopped. You would have noticed rabies stopped.
Like you can't hear the huffing from Vinnie. At the very least,
[02:13:23] Speaker C: I feel like Cal won't approach, but he'll call. Like. Rayri, I'm just talking to.
[02:13:29] Speaker B: Sorry, what's your name?
[02:13:32] Speaker A: My name is Nephene.
Pleased to meet you, Nephene.
[02:13:40] Speaker C: Would Cal know that name as an ace of Ari from a previous high house?
[02:13:49] Speaker A: Run me a quick knowledge reaction.
Oh, I've got a lot of knowledge.
[02:13:53] Speaker B: This could be a bit risky.
[02:13:57] Speaker D: Not much brain in them.
[02:13:59] Speaker C: How.
How much was methane involved in war stuff?
I'm just saying, because I could put the. Use the blades. My experience. That's why I'm just.
[02:14:10] Speaker F: She.
[02:14:11] Speaker A: Yeah, Blade will not apply.
[02:14:14] Speaker C: Okay, cool. That's fine.
It's not a bad roll. That's 16 with fear.
You.
[02:14:25] Speaker A: You think. And like, Nephene is a peculiar name. It's a relatively uncommon name.
You. You have memories of Nephne being a. An ace of Ari, Noble of some sort, but she's not.
It's not a name that you have. Like, you know, we, for example, we could be like, oh, if it's a Philip, they're probably related to the British royal family in some way or Charles or whatever. But, yeah, Nephinate. It's like, I'm pretty sure she's a royal. Sorry. She's a. She's a noble, but she doesn't seem to be. She's not linked to any of the big houses.
Not. Not off the top of your head.
[02:15:07] Speaker C: Mary, we don't have time. We need to go.
[02:15:10] Speaker B: Oh, sorry, I've gotta go. I've got things to do.
[02:15:16] Speaker A: Nephene nods and.
Are you heading to the throne room?
[02:15:22] Speaker B: Yeah. Do you know where it is?
[02:15:26] Speaker A: She look like. Her eyes narrow again and then they open and she begins to smile.
Carry on down the corridor, second on the left.
Gilded doors.
[02:15:39] Speaker B: It's all gilded doors.
[02:15:45] Speaker A: And yeah, as she. Like, as the ship rocks around you, she is this perfectly still statue of a woman. It's clear that she. She seemingly cannot move in her chair. But as she tells you the directions to the throne room, she she smiles. And good luck, she says.
[02:16:04] Speaker B: Thanks.
[02:16:06] Speaker E: Come on, Rhonda, we haven't got much time.
[02:16:11] Speaker B: I was asking for directions, which is something that cal as a car. Never do.
They never are.
Somebody has to ask and it's me. We're going down the corridor, second on the left to the gilded door.
[02:16:28] Speaker F: They're all gilded doors.
[02:16:34] Speaker B: I think this is probably extra shiny. Come on.
[02:16:42] Speaker D: Thanks for checking.
[02:16:44] Speaker B: Thank you. Somebody appreciates me.
[02:16:49] Speaker A: As the six of you like, carry on through the. The corridors following Nephene's directions in.
Like you in a large opulent was a word that was used previously and it was. It is very appropriate in a large high. A very high ceilinged wall, chandeliers hanging overhead, a raised.
Like a. A balcony with winged staircases leading down to a rich deep turquoise marbled floor with a. A marbled kind of dance pit, if you will, in the center of the room with.
With enormous floor to ceiling windows at the far end of the hall with plush kind of rich royal purple velvet drapes that frame a large green banner displaying proudly the sigil of House Stone Thrath. Beneath the sigil sits a golden throne. And the throne is flanked by two enormous 30, 40 foot tall statues of founders of the house clutching swords.
The.
The. On the long green carpet that extends out from the throne down into like the. The dance pit, flanked by two golden statues of rabbits like hairs.
Lord Gulvarian Sorrow Wind peers down at his son Tobias Sorrow Wind as we know him, Griffin in the center of the marbled area in what appears what almost looks like a large golden bird cage at least 20ft in diameter.
And Gulvarian takes a few steps down to step between. To stand between his loyal royal guards.
And looking towards his son, he says, you know, you've always been a thorn in my side, Griffin. Tobias.
You could have all of this. And yet you would rather dally around this broken world playing on your stupid little instruments.
I give you an opportunity now to repent for your misgivings.
Will you take the crown of housestone throughout?
Or will I need to rely on more persuasive methods, More extreme methods?
[02:20:27] Speaker F: I'll.
I'll come. I'll come. If you let me out, I'll come back. I promise.
I.
I just need to do this one thing. This one thing.
[02:20:39] Speaker A: Goulverian takes a few steps forward and he comes almost face to face with you, just far enough away from the cage that you couldn't reach him if you tried.
And he studies you like a literal animal in a cage.
Oh, Tobias, I wish I could believe you.
You have proven yourself too unreliable for the. For the responsibilities of ruling a house as prestigious as ours.
And he moves back.
It's a shame that your half brother couldn't be here to see this, he says.
[02:21:33] Speaker F: Where is he?
[02:21:35] Speaker A: As Golvarian turns he. He spins on his heel and his hand extends out. And you watch as a rune appears around the cage.
And you feel your legs suddenly give way and you collapse to the ground.
That is not a question you should be asking yourself now, Tobias.
[02:21:59] Speaker F: Where is he?
[02:22:02] Speaker A: And Golvarion smiles as the runes begin to illuminate.
Hush now son.
This will be all over soon.
And as he begins to cast the ritual, you feel your. Your like you begin to feel weaker as the room gets brighter and as you look around and realize like tethered as you are, you're unable to kind of react.
Your. You watch. You look up at your father as he begins draining your life essence with this ritual.
And griffin as you start to feel woozy. There is a commotion at the back of the room as the. The large gilded doors to the throne room burst open.
And in barrel 5 explosives explorers and a very large Chihuahua.
And as Gulvarian sort of looks up and you take in this scene in front of you, you can see this large kind of bird like cage in front of you. There appears to be like a young Sangu of our man. Like in the cage Galena. You like your sensors, your arcane sensors. They start pinging and popping to let you know that this ritual, whatever this ritual is, seems bad.
Like it's. It's. There's.
Yeah, there's something definitive about this spell.
And as Gari looks up at you from across the the throne room, he like his face twists into somewhere something between a snarl and a. And confusion.
What is this prattle? He says as he. He peers at you.
And with a flick of his head he looks to his guards and deal with this trattle. He says.
And as the royal guards like lock their eyes on you and begin to fan out, I will kick in the battle music.
So who wants to.
Who's leading the charge to. To paint the scene? You can see that there are.
Lord Gulvarian is stood. He moves up to the stop of the stairwell at the stop of the staircase.
Well this the set of stairs up to his throne. And there are four royal guards stood in front of him. And you can also see that there are two mages flanking Gulvarian at the top of respective flights. Sets of stairs.
Yeah. Who's. Who's going first?
[02:24:57] Speaker C: Before we do anything.
Can I. Because as car's next to me, can I like gently put a hand on his like barist, be like, take care.
And as he says that he gives you sparing touch and clears to stress.
[02:25:16] Speaker F: Thanks.
[02:25:20] Speaker D: Can I can. Alfred, also do a very quick battle ritual which is once a prolonged rest before you attempt something incredibly dangerous or face off against a foe who clearly outmatches you. Describe what ritual you perform or perform preparations you take when you do clear two stress and gain two hope. I think he might need those. Hope.
[02:25:40] Speaker A: Okay. Amazing.
Any other, any other pre battle preps?
[02:25:51] Speaker F: You've got some stress as well, haven't you cow?
[02:25:54] Speaker C: I've only got two though. I've only got two. You can use that. I only. I can use my chests. I can stay for a bit because I have quite good stress.
[02:26:05] Speaker F: So I think with you touching his wrist as a car will sort of. Will sort of hold your hand and go. You too like that. And also do sparing touch to clear two
[02:26:17] Speaker C: boyfriends.
[02:26:22] Speaker A: Okay. So Azakar and Cal. As you sort of like calm one another's nerves as a car. As you look across the hallway, you spy Lord Govarian at the other end of the throne room. And you immediately feel your chest tighten as you recognize the man who has inflicted the burns across your body.
Who was to know the lord of the house was the one that cast those flames upon you.
So yes, as. As Gulvarian sort of like sends his.
His soldiers towards you. Yeah. Who's going first?
[02:27:10] Speaker E: Just one quick last bit of pre battle prep. I'll tavern myself shimmering with some crystalline structures. My armor. I've gained one armor.
[02:27:22] Speaker A: Okie dokie. I don't know if that's going to automatically update in.
In the character.
[02:27:27] Speaker E: Me neither. But I'll tinker about.
[02:27:29] Speaker A: Yeah, no worries.
So I mean let's go with Alric. Not Alrik. A car.
[02:27:42] Speaker F: Azakar is.
I think Azakar is just gonna book it. He's gonna book it towards.
He's gonna book it down onto the Runway. He's gonna Runway onto the dance pit.
[02:28:03] Speaker C: That's mud on the dance floor.
[02:28:05] Speaker F: I'll go close and then I will roll an agility check to see if I can go for fair.
[02:28:19] Speaker A: Okay. A 16 with fear is good.
You are able to move further in.
I'll gain the fear as you.
As you move down into the sort of like bull like area.
You can see this, this Sanguvar man in the cage is sort of like ah, it's just kind of keeled over. Is Kind of creasing up into almost like the fetal position.
And you can almost see like strings of mana being pulled from his body into the runes down below. So at this point I will introduce the Griffin's soul clock.
[02:29:04] Speaker C: Save my boy.
[02:29:05] Speaker A: So it is a seven stage clock for seven hit points on Griffin.
So as you begin moving down towards the far end, one of the pyroges at the far end. So like seeing you, seeing you sort of like make a. A move towards their liege, one of the the dark skins, presumably like Larovar or wolf kin Pirate most likely as of our pyrofurge, sort of like does some kind of wide sweeping arm movements. And I'm going to spend a fear as she creates a blazing orb within. Far.
So let me.
How far as far that is.
There. So right in front of you.
So yeah, as a car, you see this orb just like burst into life in front of you.
And as this ball of fire kind of rips out, you will need to make me an agility reaction roll, please.
Agility reaction roll.
[02:30:47] Speaker C: Oh, boss.
[02:30:48] Speaker A: 24. Okay, so you only take a half damage, I believe.
Take half damage. Yes. So you take 10 hit points of damage as you're buffeted by this explosion of flame that emanates from this flaming orb.
[02:31:05] Speaker F: I'm gonna use a armor slot to take that damage.
[02:31:07] Speaker A: Okay. So fundamentally, if you, if anyone moves into range of one of these flaming orbs or like ends their turn in the or like ends that takes an action roll whilst in range of these, then you'll take more damage.
[02:31:23] Speaker C: What about Rari?
[02:31:25] Speaker A: Apart from bravery cheat coded through this encounter.
Let's go with Alfric. I think Alfred put his hand up first.
[02:31:33] Speaker B: Right.
[02:31:34] Speaker D: So there are two things I think Alfric might be able to do in this situation. But I need to know which one of them is the least stupid.
[02:31:41] Speaker B: Okay, let me take Griffin.
[02:31:46] Speaker C: There is such a thing as a stupid question. Unless Griffin dies because of it.
[02:31:51] Speaker D: Unless it sounds.
I rather have repudiate in which I can interrupt a magical effect taking place, which I would say is a magical curse to suffer away one's soul.
[02:32:09] Speaker B: Or
[02:32:12] Speaker D: I can do create construct in which I choose a group of objects around me and create an animated construct from it. And I was thinking Griffin's cage
[02:32:24] Speaker B: or just throw it some baba yoga legs and it could just run out. Yeah, yeah.
[02:32:29] Speaker D: I could just get rid of it
[02:32:30] Speaker E: and it will be big windows. Maybe it can just like leap out.
[02:32:38] Speaker F: What about one of the big statues?
[02:32:45] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:32:46] Speaker F: One of the hairs and just wash it down.
[02:32:49] Speaker A: Choose a Group of objects around you and Kate.
[02:32:51] Speaker B: Dad's like, what is this?
[02:32:53] Speaker A: What is this?
Okay.
[02:32:59] Speaker C: Love it.
[02:33:00] Speaker A: Okay.
I will. I mean, I. Either could work is all I'll say.
[02:33:05] Speaker D: Yeah. Okay. So I. Okay. I think what is more helpful in this instance is stopping Griffin from getting his soul sucked out. So I think he will. He will cast. Repudiate. If that's how you pronounce it.
[02:33:21] Speaker A: Yes.
So you need to make a reaction roll.
Spell cast. Check.
[02:33:28] Speaker D: So that's presence, I think.
[02:33:30] Speaker A: Correct. Correct.
[02:33:32] Speaker D: I will once per the. The effect stops and any consequences are avoided.
[02:33:38] Speaker A: Yes.
I'm going to spend a fear.
[02:33:43] Speaker D: Oh, no.
[02:33:44] Speaker A: To add the Lord Golvarian's master of pyromancy ability to increase the difficulty by 3. So it is now difficulty 21.
[02:33:56] Speaker C: What?
[02:33:57] Speaker D: Do I technically have my rally dice?
[02:34:00] Speaker F: Yes, you do.
[02:34:01] Speaker A: Take it on a reaction.
I suspect so. I suspect. Well, roll the dice if you need it. You're aiming for a 21,
[02:34:13] Speaker D: I was going to say. Can I take any of my experiences? No.
Okay.
[02:34:29] Speaker A: I'm. I'm frantically flipping to rally.
Rally dice.
Bard. Bard.
It's a. So you're 15 at the moment. Rally dice.
You can add it to a reaction roll. Yes. If you would like. Nice spend. So you're at 15 at the moment.
[02:34:55] Speaker D: Yep.
So I just roll.
[02:34:59] Speaker A: I just roll.
[02:35:01] Speaker D: Just roll a D8.
[02:35:02] Speaker B: Cool.
Big money. Big money. Big money. Oh, no.
[02:35:08] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:35:08] Speaker D: Oh, but I. I would like to. To on that. Rolling with fear.
[02:35:16] Speaker A: It's just a.
Oh, cool.
[02:35:19] Speaker D: Okay, don't worry about that then.
[02:35:21] Speaker A: Okay, so 17. So you go to cast and you feel this sort of like this pushback, this. This overpowering arcane pushback from it. And yes, you see sort of like Gulvarian channeling.
Channeling ritual into the. The cage. The. The runes around it.
[02:35:45] Speaker D: That old man.
[02:35:47] Speaker A: Yes, he is. He has repelled you, unfortunately.
[02:35:51] Speaker D: Next time it's the cage monster.
[02:35:55] Speaker A: Okay, let's. Let's jump in for cal.
[02:35:59] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm gonna just basically mirror Azakar. So I'm gonna run down the stairs and head up on that side as far as I can.
So.
So here's close.
[02:36:12] Speaker A: Yes.
[02:36:12] Speaker C: And then I'm gonna roll agility to see.
[02:36:19] Speaker B: Nice.
[02:36:21] Speaker C: It's a 20 with fear.
[02:36:22] Speaker A: 20 with fear. So again, fear you do get down.
[02:36:26] Speaker C: So you get as far as I can, woman.
[02:36:29] Speaker A: So you'll get to roughly where Azakar is, like in line with a car.
And as you come down, as you sort of like as you and Azakar both flank into.
It's like this dance.
Dance Pit. I've got any other words for it?
The. The other mage who is, like. Based on her diminutive size, you assume she's a. A spirit sprite of some sort.
She mirrors the same.
The same actions as the. The mage on the other side. And a blazing orb explodes into life in front of you. Cal. So I'll also need a reaction agility roll.
[02:37:22] Speaker C: Not good.
[02:37:24] Speaker F: 15.
[02:37:26] Speaker A: So.
So I need to spend a fear to do that. And you take 21 damage.
[02:37:40] Speaker C: That's. Okay. That's a major.
I can just check in if I can.
[02:37:49] Speaker E: One second.
[02:37:53] Speaker C: Oh, hang on, hang on. When you make an agility roll, you can spend two hope to reroll your hope day.
So can I do that on a reaction or.
[02:38:02] Speaker A: No, you can't. Yes.
Yes, you. You do roll a hope. Yeah, yeah. Yes, you can re. Roll that too. That's absolutely fine.
Hello, Caroline. And jump Jumping Joltic in Twitch. Hi. Sorry. God, welcome. Hi. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Hi.
[02:38:23] Speaker B: Hi.
[02:38:24] Speaker C: I'm. I'm using my adaptability, so I'm just going to roll. Just roll a D12.
[02:38:30] Speaker A: Yeah, so roll D12. You've currently rolled two,
[02:38:36] Speaker F: so.
[02:38:37] Speaker C: Trying to find my D12, so.
Okay,
[02:38:42] Speaker E: that's better.
[02:38:43] Speaker B: That's better.
[02:38:43] Speaker A: That's a lot better.
So that's 11 plus 9. 20 plus 4. So 2. 24. Okay, so you only take half damage, or you also only take 10 damage from this blazing orb that rips out from the pyrofurge.
[02:38:57] Speaker C: Cool. So 10 is way under my minor. So I don't take anything.
[02:39:01] Speaker A: Just one damage.
[02:39:02] Speaker B: Just one damage.
[02:39:03] Speaker C: One damage.
[02:39:05] Speaker F: Okay.
[02:39:05] Speaker C: Oh, I. I'll use an armor slot.
[02:39:07] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:39:09] Speaker A: Okay, so you parry. Parry the flames.
As you're sort of, like, buffeted back by this orb, we'll move back over to. We'll move back to Galena at the back of the room.
[02:39:24] Speaker E: All right, let's. Let's go Griffin mode on this.
I'm gonna.
[02:39:30] Speaker B: They were all together.
[02:39:35] Speaker E: Gonna scramble up on this little coffee table.
[02:39:39] Speaker A: Little poof.
[02:39:40] Speaker E: Yeah, give me enough light to see over the banister load. What?
Despite the complexity of the chemical structure inside mostly. Looks like a cartoon pirate bomb into my little catapult and fireball Lace. Fools.
[02:39:55] Speaker A: Okay, so are you throwing the fireball at, like, Gorian?
[02:39:59] Speaker E: Oh, just, you know, like, in the middle. Just in the middle.
[02:40:02] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:40:02] Speaker E: Yeah, just.
If I can hit one of them with it, I want to hit smack in the middle.
[02:40:06] Speaker A: Okay. Very good.
[02:40:08] Speaker E: Right. Where does FAL actually live? It is.
[02:40:12] Speaker A: Yes.
[02:40:15] Speaker B: Yeah.
You like fire so much this. Have it you.
[02:40:28] Speaker A: Okay, so Next forecast very far.
Okay. 15 with fear. I'm gonna tell you this now. That's not getting you a lot. A whole lot of juice.
[02:40:38] Speaker E: That is upsetting.
[02:40:40] Speaker F: And I do have one more prayer dice and I can't. It's a two and I can re. Roll it and you get to use the highest one.
[02:40:49] Speaker B: Go for it. This is the time when we're never gonna get together again.
[02:40:52] Speaker F: Yeah, Reroll that paradise.
Okay.
[02:40:56] Speaker A: Reroll them two.
Okay. Would you like a two or a two?
[02:41:07] Speaker E: Oh, let's go with the two.
[02:41:11] Speaker A: Brilliant.
[02:41:12] Speaker D: Okay, Good choice. Good choice. Yeah.
[02:41:16] Speaker A: Well, well considered. That takes you up to a 17 with fear. So I mark my fear as this fireball explode like rips out so from between the royal guards.
Very close. So it engulfs the four guards.
Gorian, the, the rich green carpet part, probably even scorches the. The hairs. It just about scorches the hair statues.
Gulvarian brings his up like he's channeling and he. As you fire the. The fire. What. What's your fireball look like?
[02:41:53] Speaker E: Yeah, like I say, it is essentially just a. A big cartoon pirate bomb concealing a variety of liquids that should not be mixed at high speed.
[02:42:02] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:42:03] Speaker C: I'm getting jinx. I think like a little, kind of like a jinx from arcane.
[02:42:09] Speaker E: Less. Less wacky. She would never like draw anything on it. Yeah, but essentially, yeah, not that far off.
[02:42:15] Speaker A: You don't want to draw attention to the explosives.
[02:42:19] Speaker E: It's just I've got better things to do.
[02:42:22] Speaker A: So as Gulvarin's got like one hand out channeling this, channeling this ritual as this bomb like flies in towards the royal guards and him, he draws his wand from the holster on his belt and conjures a shield. And the flames as they rip out, they peel round the shield and billow out. But the four guards, that is high enough to beat their difficulty. So phenomenal. The four guards will make. Will all make reaction rolls.
So first we're going clockwise.
So we've got.
17, 17, a 12, a crit and one more.
No, no, not one more. Two and a 20.
So the two in the front both fail. So what was the damage?
[02:43:22] Speaker E: It was 34.
[02:43:25] Speaker A: 34 damage. Okay, so it's half if they pass, right. So the two in the front take 34 damage each. That is major damage. So they're sort of like blown blown back slightly by the explosions.
The two guards further up the stairs, they. They bring these sort of like wrist mounted bucklers up and like runic shields kind of.
Well, runic Light emerges from the shields and protects them from the. The majority of the blast. They only take minor damage. So one damage.
[02:44:00] Speaker E: Remind me to steal one of those on the way out.
[02:44:04] Speaker A: Yes, the. The. The. The royal guards all look slightly more cooked.
You rolled with a fear. So I'm going to step in.
And the royal guards.
Well, Gulvarium will.
He will spend a fear.
Yeah as he sort of like brings a shield up, the flames lick around him. And then as he kind of flicks the shield away with it like wand in hand.
Rise. Fight for the glory of sword stone Wrath. He bellows out. And I will spend a fear to spotlight two allies in far range. And two. The two royal guards that got cooked will then immediately sort like surge forward to intercept Cal and Azakar. If they emerge through the p. The. The pyroclastic orbs. Um, and as they run forward, they bring these kind of wrist mounted bucklers up. And then the swords that they draw with the flag flick the blades flip round and they're. They're double bladed.
So as DM time. Darth Mall time.
So yeah, as these.
Yeah, as these guards sort like drop into a defensive position to. To hold you off while two stay flanking Goarium. That's the end of my turn.
Who wants to go next?
[02:45:35] Speaker B: I mean I more than happy. Let's.
Can I run too far? I don't mind getting inside the flames.
[02:45:42] Speaker A: So yeah, you can you do that for free or are you. Is there a thing you've got that lets you go to free.
To far for free.
[02:45:52] Speaker B: Go to free.
[02:45:53] Speaker A: Go to free for five
[02:45:57] Speaker C: feet.
[02:45:59] Speaker B: No, I nimble. Nimble.
[02:46:01] Speaker A: No, that's a vision.
[02:46:02] Speaker B: Asian steady is advantage.
[02:46:04] Speaker E: But anything on the dog boy that makes you fast.
[02:46:08] Speaker B: Well, the dog boy will make me fast if I want to spend a hope. But yes, I will just. Let's just go for a.
[02:46:14] Speaker A: Let's go agility and then we'll see how far you get.
So you get to the top of the stairs for free.
Are you mounted on the back of Vinnie?
[02:46:25] Speaker B: Of course.
[02:46:26] Speaker A: Okay, so she's scamper because yeah. You plunge into the flames alongside Azakar and as the. The flames from this blazing orb wash over you, it's like a warm summer's day.
[02:46:42] Speaker B: That's nice.
[02:46:43] Speaker A: Oh, I still Teflon Chihuahua.
[02:46:51] Speaker D: Right?
[02:46:51] Speaker B: Where? How far?
Oh, he's very far now. I far. Oh no. Pyro. Pyro guy is far.
Can I. I would like to shoot Pyro third.
[02:47:04] Speaker A: The Pyro Third. Yes.
[02:47:06] Speaker B: Directly in front of you, hoping that it's a concentration.
[02:47:10] Speaker A: Yeah. So this. This Grace Kelly looking lady in front of you.
[02:47:14] Speaker B: Yeah.
I will fire.
Oh, the little one is so cute.
[02:47:25] Speaker A: Livy, they're gonna kill us.
[02:47:29] Speaker C: Libby doesn't care.
[02:47:32] Speaker D: Consider, Consider if we didn't.
[02:47:36] Speaker B: Oh no, don't. Not twice. Just once.
[02:47:40] Speaker A: I get rid of the top one, bottom one.
[02:47:42] Speaker B: Sorry, I can't do it now. It's not. Let me do it now.
[02:47:45] Speaker A: Okay. Just do it. Do it from scratch.
[02:47:52] Speaker C: Rubbish.
[02:47:54] Speaker A: Okay. The 1413, eh?
That is a fail, unfortunately.
So I gain a fear as so you shooting the. Shooting an arrow.
[02:48:11] Speaker B: Right?
Yeah.
[02:48:15] Speaker A: In which case, as you fire this arrow towards the pyrofurge.
Tall one. Not the little one, the tall one.
[02:48:22] Speaker E: Yeah.
[02:48:22] Speaker A: As you fire it towards the. The pyrofurge with a flick of a wrist, the arrow ignites and just.
Just becomes ash that scatters across her form by the time it reaches up.
As you like, Ray. As you fire that shot you.
There is a laugh that echoes through the halls of this throne room.
And as Gulvarian says.
Are these friends of yours? Tobias? They're as useless as you are. And he will tick up the clock on Griffin's soul. As Griffin loses a hit point.
[02:49:06] Speaker B: I don't even know him.
[02:49:13] Speaker A: So yes, you what you like. You all hear the scream as Griffin. Ah. Like a seventh of your life essence is pulled from you.
Alfric.
[02:49:26] Speaker B: My life essence.
[02:49:27] Speaker A: Oh, my lord.
[02:49:31] Speaker D: So Alfric is going to cast, create, construct. However, he will not cast it on the cage. He's going to cast it on one of these massive hair statues.
[02:49:42] Speaker A: Okay, yes, yes, yes, that.
[02:49:44] Speaker D: And he is going to command it to attack.
Mr. Elfman.
[02:49:50] Speaker A: Mr. Galvarian.
[02:49:51] Speaker E: Mr. Mr. Big Lord Eldarian for you.
[02:50:00] Speaker C: Now I got Danny Elfman in my head.
[02:50:01] Speaker B: Yes.
[02:50:05] Speaker A: Okay, so.
L doesn't have a range, does it? Yeah, go for it. Make a spell roll.
[02:50:12] Speaker D: I just spend a hope. I think I just spend a hope. And it happens.
[02:50:15] Speaker B: It's the whole airship a construction. Could you just.
[02:50:18] Speaker A: No,
[02:50:23] Speaker B: Just say it.
[02:50:24] Speaker A: Just.
[02:50:25] Speaker B: Just spitball in here.
[02:50:27] Speaker C: Just letting the seeds percolate.
[02:50:31] Speaker A: So yes, spend a hope. Make a spell cast roll. The Difficulty here is 17.
[02:50:37] Speaker B: Okay, We're not rolling good today.
No.
[02:50:47] Speaker E: I think as Galena sees you sort of weaving the spell, she's like, you're dropping your bloody gaba rune. Come on.
And I use reassurance to let you reroll an action roll.
[02:51:04] Speaker B: Oh, thank you.
[02:51:06] Speaker A: Do better.
[02:51:09] Speaker B: Are you an idiot?
[02:51:10] Speaker A: It says offer assistance or words of
[02:51:12] Speaker B: support
[02:51:15] Speaker F: that were shit. Do better.
[02:51:21] Speaker A: It's like Tales of Railsware all over again. Alfred.
[02:51:24] Speaker F: Alfred. Being shouted at by adults.
[02:51:28] Speaker A: You mummy. Reroll.
[02:51:29] Speaker D: I feel strangely comforted by this.
[02:51:32] Speaker E: It's like being at home.
[02:51:36] Speaker A: Fully reroll your presence check.
[02:51:37] Speaker D: I'm just wondering if there's anything I can use. But I don't think there is other than.
[02:51:41] Speaker B: Well.
[02:51:41] Speaker D: Ready. But no. That's no.
[02:51:52] Speaker A: Better.
[02:51:52] Speaker B: Better.
[02:51:53] Speaker D: Better.
[02:51:54] Speaker A: But Galena, do we have to use the second result?
[02:51:58] Speaker E: Great question. Because it is worse.
It's unclear. It just says when you do, your ally can re roll their dice.
[02:52:11] Speaker A: Okay. So we will. We'll use the second one.
So as you like. You go to. As you try to cast these spells, the. The enchantments seemingly on this hall are just like high level. Probably higher than you've ever anything you've ever experienced before.
Alfric. And unfortunately the spell kind of dissipates across the golden like shell.
[02:52:34] Speaker D: That's all right. I've got a lot of hope to keep casting this bad boy.
[02:52:41] Speaker A: So you.
So I grab a fear and I will so the small pyrofurge.
Because.
Yeah. Why not? I'm gonna spend a fear.
Bam. And uh. Yeah. The small sprite sort of like.
So she's conjured the.
The blazing orb. Kind of putting that aside for a moment. She claps her hands together. As she pulls her palms apart, this sort of pillar of fire emerges between her hands. And then she thrusts it forward and it splits into five or six projectiles that kind of weave through the room and Islam into the six of you respectively.
So I'm gonna need everyone to make me an agility reaction.
[02:53:30] Speaker B: Ro these Is it fire?
[02:53:35] Speaker A: It is fire.
So everyone but R and Bibby.
[02:53:39] Speaker F: I critted.
[02:53:40] Speaker B: Yeah.
When you start attacking people, not just
[02:53:48] Speaker A: I'll roll really well.
So Aar crit.
Alric passes. Cal fails.
Galena fails.
So those who have failed take 16 damage and those who pass take 8.
As you are bombarded by this arcane artillery.
[02:54:14] Speaker E: That's one point over my minor threshold.
[02:54:18] Speaker A: Obviously you can spend.
You can spend armor as normal.
[02:54:23] Speaker F: Yeah.
[02:54:23] Speaker A: So yeah, it's pirates. As pyrofurge kind of slams that into you, we move to cal.
[02:54:31] Speaker E: Oh, just to mention, by the way, I'm as a reaction to taking damage. I'm gonna hex that pyrofedge, please.
[02:54:37] Speaker A: Oh, okay. Remind me when that comes up.
[02:54:41] Speaker E: Yeah, we'll do.
[02:54:43] Speaker A: Cool. Cool. Go Cal code.
[02:54:46] Speaker C: Cool. I'm just double checking. I think hasn't been very similar.
[02:54:51] Speaker B: No, wait a minute.
If, if, if if if I don't take if adversary attacks while you're There within your.
No, wait, not that one. Don't worry about that one.
Don't worry about that one.
[02:55:09] Speaker A: On Tender hooks here, if you get attacked, murder the person that here attacks.
[02:55:14] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm pretty sure I've got a card that says they instantly die.
[02:55:20] Speaker F: They say sorry to me.
[02:55:26] Speaker A: Well, while. While you're scummaging.
Yes. Cal. What you doing?
[02:55:30] Speaker C: I'm just going to go into close range for this chap.
[02:55:33] Speaker A: Okay. Do you want to go to close range in the bubble or out the bubble?
[02:55:37] Speaker C: Out the bubble, preferably. Do I do have to do a reaction for that or anything?
[02:55:42] Speaker A: You can just about get out.
[02:55:44] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah.
[02:55:45] Speaker A: Still being close here. You're fine.
[02:55:47] Speaker C: Yeah. Cool. Done.
[02:55:49] Speaker A: Okay, so as you step out and the. Yeah. This Royal Guard is already like on top of you as you emerge from flames.
[02:55:58] Speaker C: Yep.
[02:55:59] Speaker E: Right.
[02:55:59] Speaker C: Advance cross sell time. Let's go with Soul Render as well.
And I'm going to use the Blade Hope as well.
On top of my role.
That was a bad roll.
[02:56:17] Speaker F: Do you have a rally dice still?
[02:56:19] Speaker C: I've got. I do have ready dice. I can use that.
[02:56:30] Speaker F: Nice.
[02:56:31] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:56:32] Speaker A: That takes you to 17 with hope.
[02:56:35] Speaker C: Stress on that. Can't I as well?
I can clear a hypo. I gain a hyper clear restress.
I'll gain the hope because I rolled of hope and I'll clear a stress.
[02:56:47] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:56:49] Speaker C: Actually, I'll take that stress again so I can use Soul Render to also hit him.
[02:56:56] Speaker A: Throw in the dagger.
Okay.
[02:56:59] Speaker C: Yeah. So let's roll. Roll damage.
23 points of damage.
[02:57:09] Speaker A: 23 damage. So as you go about unstoppable with that.
[02:57:14] Speaker C: Because I've still got that running. Is that three? I'd have to start it again.
[02:57:18] Speaker A: I would. I would say. So you can start it again. Yes.
Okay. So it's actually 24 damage if you're restarting unstoppable.
So that is major damage to the Royal Guard.
So takes two hit points of damage.
So as you slide out of the flames, like both blades swinging, you rake across the Royal Guard. And as the Royal Guard sort of like flinches away from the blows.
Cal, you're. I can only imagine you're caught slightly off guard as this Royal Guard reposts with a vengeful retaliation that you normally only see yourself doing as a vengeance guardian.
So he marks us the. The Royal Guard marks a stress to immediately retaliate and deal 18 damage back to you.
[02:58:16] Speaker C: Okay. That's all right. That's fine.
[02:58:18] Speaker A: As this Royal Guard takes the momentum of your blow and sort of like spins on the spot and like attacks you with the. The bottom end of this double bladed like the twin blade that he's wielding.
[02:58:30] Speaker C: Cool. Can I. Can I revenge that back?
[02:58:33] Speaker A: You can all revenge and then your revenge.
[02:58:37] Speaker B: It's a psych. That's what revenge is like. It's just a cycle.
[02:58:41] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:58:41] Speaker C: So whenever for Surrey Emiday range, it's so deep against you I can mark a stress which I'm going to do.
[02:58:48] Speaker A: And I'm going to also identical abilities.
[02:58:51] Speaker C: Yeah.
Yeah.
[02:58:53] Speaker B: It's great.
[02:58:54] Speaker C: So yeah. So I. I can just gain. They just take a hit point so I don't have to roll for it.
[02:59:00] Speaker E: Is there anything stopping this from carrying on forever until one of you dies?
[02:59:04] Speaker C: No, as far as I know.
Well, I think because you have to roll tip me. I don't have to roll hit you.
[02:59:10] Speaker A: Yes, correct.
[02:59:11] Speaker C: Well, I have to keep giving to stress, so.
[02:59:14] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:59:15] Speaker C: Until all my stress runs.
[02:59:18] Speaker A: Okay. So you, you scythe, you. You slash out the royal Guard.
[02:59:22] Speaker B: The Royal guard.
[02:59:25] Speaker A: And then we. We're gonna stop that shenanigans right there.
You've rolled with hope. So we stick with the spotlight.
Do you want to keep. Keep the spotlight or pass over to Azakar?
[02:59:40] Speaker C: It's AAR's turn. That's AAR.
[02:59:43] Speaker F: Yeah. Azakar's gonna run up to this guy here.
[02:59:47] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[02:59:48] Speaker F: And he's gonna thwack him with his scimitar.
[02:59:59] Speaker A: Okay, so you're looking for difficulty 17.
[03:00:02] Speaker C: This is a 16.
[03:00:07] Speaker A: No, no, no, no, no.
[03:00:08] Speaker F: I don't really want to. I'll use my rally dice.
D8.
[03:00:13] Speaker C: D8.
[03:00:14] Speaker F: There you are.
A lovely little three on that.
[03:00:20] Speaker A: Okay, so it takes you up to 19 with fear. That is a hit.
[03:00:23] Speaker F: I'm gonna. I'm gonna spend too stress to make that into a hope. Instead.
[03:00:31] Speaker A: Put it up your bum and stuff it.
And 19 with hope. That's a hit.
[03:00:36] Speaker F: There are some dimage.
That's a lovely 27.
[03:00:43] Speaker A: 27. Oh, that is Major DiMage. So two hit points on the Royal guard who also then spends a stress to return to sender.
16 hit points of 16 damage.
[03:01:01] Speaker F: Yeah, whatever. I'll spend an armor slot.
[03:01:05] Speaker A: Amazing. Amazing. You rolled with hope.
So do you want to keep the spotlight pass on to Rayri.
[03:01:12] Speaker F: Go on, Ray.
[03:01:13] Speaker A: Go Ray, go.
[03:01:14] Speaker B: Well, you're in the perfect position.
[03:01:17] Speaker F: Oh no.
[03:01:22] Speaker A: Time to bounce.
[03:01:24] Speaker B: Time to bounce.
I am going to boost myself and Vinnie off of Azakar.
I'm going to. And I'm going to fire at the.
Oh, I could all get all the way. Yeah, but do I want to stand? Don't want to end right in front of him. No. I will boost and I will.
[03:01:48] Speaker A: There are an upsetting number of sword blades for that many people.
[03:01:51] Speaker B: Yeah. I think I'm gonna. I'm gonna boost Azakar to get to the pyro surge.
[03:01:56] Speaker F: I like to think that Azakar was
[03:01:58] Speaker A: just about to make another hit and then he just sees Ray reaches.
Okay. Okay. So you sprawing into action.
[03:02:10] Speaker B: I sprawing into actions. I just have to spend a stress to sprawing.
[03:02:15] Speaker A: I'll move you up to the pyrofl
[03:02:18] Speaker B: and I make an aerial attack. Attack as I go over say.
[03:02:43] Speaker A: With hope is not a hit. Do you?
Okay.
[03:02:51] Speaker B: I've got nothing left. Then. I've got nothing left.
[03:02:55] Speaker A: As you fly through the air and sort of like fire this arrow.
Yeah. The. The pyro once more incinerates the arrow in midair before it reaches her. Um. And then as you sort of like land in front of the pyro third. Um, you feel this like glare from your left.
And Lord Golvarian is sort of like looking over you with this sneer and pitiful. He says.
So when you fail a role within close range of Lord Golvarian, you must mark a stress.
[03:03:45] Speaker D: The area of effect of his disappointment.
[03:03:47] Speaker A: Yes.
And this is why Griffin's the way he is.
[03:03:52] Speaker D: Griffin. You make so much sense. Now.
[03:03:56] Speaker A: I will interject.
And 1.
So the Pyrofurge that you've just kind of collided with as.
What's she gonna do? Yeah. She just. She takes a step back. Her hand. Her open hand ignites in flame. Rayri. And she's just gonna try and strangle you with it.
There's a 20 hit.
[03:04:28] Speaker B: A 20.
Strangles. Yes.
You said you got a little neck.
[03:04:35] Speaker A: I'm only gonna give you half of this damage because you're immune to fire.
[03:04:40] Speaker B: Yeah, but I'm not immune to strangles.
[03:04:41] Speaker A: But you're not immune to strangles. So that is 16 damage.
[03:04:47] Speaker B: Okay.
[03:04:49] Speaker A: Yeah. As this like pyrophage grabs you around the neck like. And there's. There's this powerful squeeze around your juggler before she kind of flings you backwards.
I will Gulvarian will then spend a fear to activate. And I will spend another fear. Wrong way.
Spend another fear to.
As he orders his. His soldiers to deal with these rabble.
As he declares to glory. And the royal guard from fighting against Cal is going to swing the swing the twin blade in large Sweeping Arts for 12 to hit.
Okay. And you take.
22 damage.
[03:05:49] Speaker C: Okay.
[03:05:49] Speaker A: As he Slightly repositions to block you to his lord. And then the other one is going to attack as a car.
Just in time, Nate.
For 12 to hit.
[03:06:07] Speaker F: Yeah, that meets. It beats.
[03:06:08] Speaker A: It meets and beats it for a grand total of. Let's go for 22 again. Come on. Just absolutely. Oh, 23. This royal guard is slightly better than the other 23 damage.
[03:06:20] Speaker F: Okay, that is major saying. I will go up to armor and tea.
Okay.
[03:06:27] Speaker A: Okay.
I'm gonna pass over now to let's say Galena. It's been a while.
[03:06:34] Speaker E: All right. Nice.
I'll. I'll have a little jog down the stairs.
I'll tell you load up.
What looks like a cross between a crossbow bolt and a sparkler.
Realized that that's in my vault. And quickly spend some stress to get it out there.
[03:07:04] Speaker B: It's there to try to light the
[03:07:06] Speaker E: sparkler because that is stressful.
That one.
There we go.
Okay. I'm trying to try and bolt beacon sorrow and.
[03:07:29] Speaker B: Okay, nice.
[03:07:33] Speaker A: So 26 with fear.
So that is a hit.
Now before you go any further, as you fire this sparkler crossbow bolt across the the hall, Gulvarian like turns his head up to see its approach.
And before Govarian has a chance to blink, one of the. The royal guard directly in between the two of you spends a stress and steps in the way and takes the hit instead.
[03:08:06] Speaker E: What a champ. That's really annoying. Okay, cool.
[03:08:12] Speaker D: What a good and loyal soldier.
[03:08:18] Speaker E: One idiot. 19 hit points.
[03:08:21] Speaker A: 19 hit points is major damage.
So three hit points and that royal guard is lit up like a beacon.
[03:08:31] Speaker E: Yes. He's vulnerable. So kick that one around if you can.
[03:08:37] Speaker A: I'll put. I'll put a little weakened arrow on him. There we go. Okay. Amazing. Do you want to hold the spotlight or pass on to Cal?
[03:08:49] Speaker E: Oh, it was with fear. So I don't know if I. Oh, cool.
[03:08:53] Speaker A: So I. Yes, I will.
[03:08:55] Speaker E: Sorry.
[03:08:57] Speaker A: As this. As this royal guard like takes the.
Takes this kind of beaming bolt to the chest. Golvarians like his face turns into a sneer. How dare these peasants attack me.
And I will spend a fear.
And Griffin screams out in pain as another hit point literally can cry.
[03:09:25] Speaker B: Good soup.
[03:09:26] Speaker A: No.
Well, before we pass over to Cal, does Africa want to go? Africa want to jump in?
[03:09:37] Speaker D: I mean, Alfric will. Will try and make another little construct, baby.
[03:09:43] Speaker B: Yeah.
[03:09:46] Speaker D: This is gonna look so cool.
[03:09:47] Speaker B: Please.
[03:09:49] Speaker D: He's made the construct. I think he just needs to cut spellcast to make it.
[03:09:54] Speaker A: To make it do things. Okay.
[03:09:56] Speaker B: Yes.
[03:09:57] Speaker E: Nobody as much as I really hope this works. There's A part of me that's like. It would be amazing if he just spends the whole fight.
[03:10:04] Speaker A: Come on. Come on.
[03:10:07] Speaker D: Welcome to Alfric.
[03:10:12] Speaker B: That works.
[03:10:14] Speaker D: That spell is levitate.
Okay. Spark, throw.
[03:10:21] Speaker A: Come on, baby.
20.
So here. What's the. What's the 20?
[03:10:33] Speaker C: Wasn't it?
[03:10:34] Speaker A: What's the thingies of it? Create, construct, spell, cast, roll to take command. When necessary, they show your evasion. Okay. In which case. Yeah, the rabbit. So the. The hair statue. Left or right?
[03:10:47] Speaker D: Yeah.
Where am I? Where's closest to him?
[03:10:53] Speaker A: My left. You are almost in the middle on the left. Okay, so yeah, as you. So yeah, you reach out and this rabbit creaks as the metal bends as you're able to sort of like morph it with your hands and yes, you. You now have control of this rabbit. I'm desperately looking for some. Tell you what.
[03:11:15] Speaker B: Vinny's just looking at it.
[03:11:18] Speaker A: We'll use the Binky.
[03:11:22] Speaker D: Yeah, with us.
[03:11:26] Speaker A: There we go.
So what. What are you commanding Binky to do?
[03:11:31] Speaker D: Crush that mouse.
[03:11:35] Speaker A: Are you directing it at Govarian?
[03:11:38] Speaker D: Yes.
[03:11:38] Speaker A: Okay, make your attack.
[03:11:41] Speaker D: That's 2d10 plus 3 physical damage.
[03:11:46] Speaker A: So he. What's the yeah, what's the to hit roll based on? Is it your presence?
[03:11:52] Speaker D: It doesn't say. It just. I think that was.
That was.
[03:11:56] Speaker A: Oh, yes. Yes. I said when necessary they share and they're attacked. Okay.
[03:12:00] Speaker B: Yes.
[03:12:00] Speaker A: So you. You hit.
So 20. The. This poor. This poor royal guard. The other royal guard will dive in the way to protect the house. So yeah, Please roll your 2d10 3 damage against this other royal guard that come in to protect.
[03:12:24] Speaker D: 13.
[03:12:25] Speaker A: 13 damage. Okay, so this royal guard.
Oh, oh, oh. Boom. Branch.
Okay, so he takes minor damage as this rabbit like back as his hair bats at him.
Oh God. Oh, is rock slightly.
So I take a fear.
We'll leave that token there for.
Well, tell you what. We'll make it invisible just in case it doesn't behave itself again in. In the future as you cast this spell. And Gulvarian is assailed by his own artwork.
The small.
The small sprite found Pirateurge.
She marks a stress and in a blaze of flame teleports to far range.
So she teleports halfway down the hall and then spying a.
Oh, you're just out of range. This power refurge has her sights set on you as Alfred.
She. She's coming. She's coming for you.
Yeah. What she will do instead.
It's only to a standard attack. Okay, yes. That is her turn. I'll pass back to let's pass back to Cal.
[03:14:02] Speaker C: Cool. So first of all, I want to just try and re roll one of my prayer dice. I think I can do that.
[03:14:08] Speaker A: Okay.
[03:14:09] Speaker C: This one. So one. Because I've only got one left.
So let's see if I can do that.
Nope, that's the wrong button.
[03:14:18] Speaker A: Ignore that button.
[03:14:21] Speaker F: I got it.
[03:14:21] Speaker C: I got it. I got it.
It's still a two. We're doing so well with the Paradise. That's fine. Anyway, I'm gonna.
It's a long shot. I'm gonna use those two prayer dice to clear two of my stress. Okay. Because basically as paradise I can do that.
Yes, I think. Yeah. Hang on, hang on.
Sorry. I'm escaped. I'm no sorry to hope I can get myself two hope for the two. So all my prayer dice are gone for hope.
No. Give myself two hope because I only have.
But then I'm going to use Champion's Edge. No, no, no. Where is it called? What is it called?
Sorry, I'm getting used to where's it gone Champions edges.
[03:15:08] Speaker A: When you critically succeed.
[03:15:11] Speaker C: I'm sure I read one that I could use.
No, of course not. That's fine.
Ignore me. That's.
[03:15:22] Speaker B: You know what?
[03:15:23] Speaker C: Yes, it's fine. I'm just gonna. Let's go attack this guy then. It's fine.
[03:15:26] Speaker B: It's all good.
[03:15:27] Speaker C: I've got full hope that's. That's useful.
Oh no. I am going to use. Sorry. I'm going to use frontline tank which is my class feet so I can spend three hope to clear two armor slots. Okay. Candy. So 1, 2, 3. I knew there's a reason why I was trying to do things.
So. Yes, I know I need one arm. Stop.
[03:15:46] Speaker A: Also bear in mind every time you take damage, you clear a stress thanks to rise up you've got an ability.
[03:15:56] Speaker C: Yeah, but that. That's if it's mark one when you mark more than one.
[03:16:02] Speaker A: Yeah. So when you take damage. If you. If you take damage, you clear a stress every time.
[03:16:07] Speaker C: Okay, I will just take one off then. And then that should clear where I am at the moment.
[03:16:13] Speaker A: Okay. Do you want to swing your sword?
[03:16:16] Speaker C: I want to swing my sword. Absolutely.
[03:16:18] Speaker A: Swing the sword.
Let's get a revenge train going again.
[03:16:22] Speaker C: Yeah. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go.
And I'm gonna save my hope for now. This is
[03:16:31] Speaker A: a 16 with hope.
[03:16:33] Speaker C: Does that hit?
[03:16:34] Speaker A: Nope.
You're out of paradise now, right?
[03:16:40] Speaker C: Oh, wait. By you spurts spell render as well plus damage.
But if it's paired plus damage. I get more plus damage. No, I thought it was nice.
Okay, that's fine. Well,
[03:16:58] Speaker A: plus side, no revenge train.
Bad side. Is that on a miss. That royal guard is gonna interrupt and swing at you with his sword instead.
Okay, for a 13 to hit.
[03:17:18] Speaker C: 13 does it.
4.
[03:17:25] Speaker A: 13 damage.
Okay, now we get the revenge train going.
[03:17:30] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, let's go.
[03:17:32] Speaker A: One way or another, we have it making this happen.
Okay, so I take a pointed damage.
So he's up to 6 damage on this raw guard.
The royal guard is visibly winded and, like, looks like he's on his last legs.
Who wants to Galena? Let's go for Galena.
[03:17:55] Speaker E: Okie dokie.
How high is the side of the dance pit?
[03:18:05] Speaker A: It's probably about 10ft, I'd say.
[03:18:07] Speaker E: Oh, that's way too high. I'm really sure.
All right. Can I see the pyro?
[03:18:13] Speaker A: I certainly see that pyro, third gen. And she would have made a very bombastic pyro pyromantic entrance as well to draw the attention.
[03:18:29] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm. I'm just gonna shoot an ice spike at her, I think.
[03:18:33] Speaker A: Okay.
[03:18:34] Speaker B: Fire and ice.
[03:18:38] Speaker E: Pew, pew.
And because she is hexed.
[03:18:44] Speaker A: Yes.
[03:18:45] Speaker E: I also get an additional.
What is it?
[03:18:49] Speaker B: Is that one.
[03:18:51] Speaker E: Yeah.
[03:18:52] Speaker A: Vulnerability gives you advantage.
[03:18:55] Speaker E: No, no. The vulnerabilities on the other guy. The hex gives me a damage and action roll bonus equal to my tier. So I guess this is plus three, which isn't enough, regardless.
[03:19:06] Speaker A: No. Have you got your valid ice yet or has that been spent?
[03:19:09] Speaker E: Oh, that's long gone, I think.
[03:19:11] Speaker A: Okay, in which case, as you fire. As you fire this kind of ice projectile up towards the pyro third, she brings her hand up and this kind of wall of flame emerges from her palm, and the ice, like, melts away as it passes through the flames.
I will like having the attention turned back to her. This pyro third will scamper to the end of the walkway and square with Alfred square in her sights.
[03:19:45] Speaker F: She
[03:19:48] Speaker A: brings her hands around and fires a blast of fire in your direction. That's a 20 to hit.
Oh, you'll meet a Georgia. Sorry, that very much hits. And Alfric takes 29 damage.
[03:20:07] Speaker D: That is my severe
[03:20:11] Speaker A: toasty dragon scent.
[03:20:13] Speaker D: I'm going to spend two armor slots to take that down to a miner.
[03:20:18] Speaker A: Okay.
Oh, you can only spend one. Oh.
Oh, yeah. You can only spend one.
[03:20:23] Speaker B: Yeah, you can only spend one. Oh, cool.
[03:20:25] Speaker D: I'm gonna spend one to take that down to a major.
[03:20:27] Speaker A: Okay, so two damage there. And you quickly acknowledge that this pyrophage does not look like she's tucking out in any way, shape, or form. So tell you what, let's give you the spotlight.
[03:20:39] Speaker D: Excellent. I'm going to brandish my rapier.
[03:20:43] Speaker A: Yes.
[03:20:44] Speaker D: Go to rapier.
[03:20:45] Speaker E: That.
[03:20:45] Speaker D: That woman.
[03:20:52] Speaker A: You'll need an agility check first as an aside.
[03:20:55] Speaker D: Okay.
[03:20:56] Speaker B: To get in Africa, you got this.
[03:21:00] Speaker D: There you go.
[03:21:03] Speaker A: So you gain a hope and then an 18 with fear is a hit again. A fear roll your dimage.
[03:21:11] Speaker D: Oh, actually, I will. You do not. Because I will use fearless when I roll with fear stress to change it into a roll with hope instead.
[03:21:19] Speaker A: Hey, mark your stress.
[03:21:20] Speaker E: I don't think fearless is really good, isn't it?
[03:21:22] Speaker D: It's good. Yeah. It's great.
[03:21:26] Speaker A: It is really quite good. Yes.
Okay. Yeah. Roll for demar.
[03:21:34] Speaker D: Rolling.
[03:21:42] Speaker A: 24 damage is major damage. So this little spike like squeaks as you kind of slash at her with the. With the rapper.
But as she. As she sort of like reels back, there's like. You see a glow from between the. The prongs of her sort of like V shaped mask as a flame, but like erupts out of her.
Oh, that should be 3d6.
And Alfric, her warding flames.
Deal.
Eight hit points back to you. Eight damage back to you.
[03:22:26] Speaker D: Eight hit points.
[03:22:32] Speaker A: Yeah. 8 damage as these warding flames kind of burst out of.
[03:22:37] Speaker D: That's below my minor. So that's fine.
[03:22:39] Speaker A: There's just one damage.
[03:22:42] Speaker B: Yeah.
[03:22:42] Speaker C: Yep.
[03:22:43] Speaker A: Which obviously you can zero off with armor.
[03:22:46] Speaker D: Yes, I think I'll do that. Otherwise, that's half. Half of my hit points.
[03:22:50] Speaker A: Yes. Okay, so we will. As we're down in that corner, we pass back to Gima much.
[03:22:59] Speaker E: All right.
[03:23:01] Speaker F: The.
[03:23:02] Speaker E: This.
It's probably gonna suck running through this flame thing, right?
All right, I'm gonna. Let me see.
Right. This will depend. So if I get to close, if I get to like here.
[03:23:20] Speaker A: Yes.
[03:23:21] Speaker E: Would you call that in melee range of that fella? Absolutely amazing.
[03:23:27] Speaker A: I will interrupt and ask for an agility reaction role, please.
[03:23:35] Speaker E: Sounds brilliant. Let's do a cool flip.
[03:23:42] Speaker A: I'm imagining these are more like solar flares. Like they're just gouts of flame that kind of rip out from this blazing orb.
But. 17, you are fine.
[03:23:51] Speaker E: Sweet. Okay. After my cool flip, I will pull out what looks like a big wad of chewing gum and just run at that guard with it and see if I can hit him.
[03:24:07] Speaker A: Yeah.
[03:24:08] Speaker E: Is that Book of Ava?
Okay, so I'm gonna use power push.
[03:24:17] Speaker A: Okay.
[03:24:18] Speaker E: Which pushes an enemy back to far if I hit him in melee range. And I Want to angle it a little bit up so that we're going towards this large window over here, please?
[03:24:29] Speaker B: Yes, yes, yes.
[03:24:33] Speaker A: Okay. Difficulty 17.
[03:24:36] Speaker E: Let's do a cast.
Might. Yeah, I'll spend a stressful to use my. Or let's just go with an arcane expert experience.
[03:25:02] Speaker A: 21 with Hope is a hit.
Is very much a hit.
[03:25:10] Speaker E: Rubbish damage. But maybe that's fine. 16.
[03:25:12] Speaker A: 16 points of damage. So you. You punch him to fire. Yes, yes. Okay. In which case, Cal, as you're sort of like there's a back and forth between you and this guard. And then from the flames.
Tim, paint me the picture here.
Your blow connects.
[03:25:30] Speaker E: So doing what she thinks is a cool flip, but it's really kind of an awkward hop through the flames, Gillian like skids out, like, punches her this hand onto like, I don't know, his thigh probably. And it's essentially like a shaped plastic explosive.
So after a second it just goes.
He's like blasted as far as possible.
[03:25:55] Speaker A: Okay, Cal, you watch as this royal guard cartwheels through the air by this explosion slams smack bang in the middle of the pane of glass.
What this like floor to ceiling off. And smashes clean through it.
16 damage is enough to see that guard off as he disappears. Like, you hear him clang as he bounces off the. The hull of the ship.
Yes.
[03:26:26] Speaker C: Well done.
[03:26:27] Speaker A: That guard is gone.
[03:26:30] Speaker E: Let's go.
[03:26:31] Speaker A: Galena, you're. You're fired up. Do you want to hold spotlight or pass over to Azakar?
[03:26:36] Speaker F: Oh,
[03:26:41] Speaker E: Maybe. Oh, yeah. While I'm. While I'm near that vulnerable dude, I might take a shot before he has a chance to shake it off again.
[03:26:49] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely.
[03:26:51] Speaker E: I mean, they're still just in a big ball. Maybe I just fireball them again.
We like to viable things in this house.
[03:27:03] Speaker D: Is there a way of doing a.
What's it called?
[03:27:09] Speaker A: Tag team?
[03:27:10] Speaker C: Tag team.
[03:27:11] Speaker D: Tag team. That's the word. Because we both have fireball. I mean, I know I'm currently being incinerated.
[03:27:19] Speaker A: Is it far?
[03:27:20] Speaker E: It's very far for.
[03:27:22] Speaker D: I think it's very far.
[03:27:23] Speaker A: Is it very far? You. If one of you wants to spend the three hope, we can have our first finale tag team.
[03:27:29] Speaker D: Do I have three hope? I do have three hope.
[03:27:32] Speaker A: You do have three hope.
[03:27:33] Speaker E: Are you okay, team?
[03:27:35] Speaker D: Yeah.
[03:27:37] Speaker E: In fact, you know what?
You're getting a bit battered. So shall I spend the hope?
[03:27:42] Speaker B: Oh, thank you.
[03:27:44] Speaker E: Just in case you need it.
[03:27:46] Speaker D: I am drawn and squeaky.
[03:27:49] Speaker A: So Galena is spending three hope and we have a double fireball up in this.
So galena's rolled a 23 fear. Alfric, if you also roll book and rye fireball. And then we'll decide which score to take.
Disgusting. About the damage.
Oh, please. Be a critical.
Yeah, 24 with hope. I suspect you'll go with that. So both of you gain a hope and then please. Oh, wait. How am I gonna do this?
Right, so I need to roll two sets of reaction rolls.
Okay, Right, so the vulnerable royal guard is. Two reaction rolls are.
So it's like Galena, then Alfric. So 15.
Is that a pass or a fail?
That is a pass and a fail. Okay, so fast and fail. The other one who isn't vulnerable is a pass and a fail. Right, okay, so that's good. And then.
And then what's the. Protect the house.
You know what?
They can both step in and take Gulvarian's damage. So that's exactly what.
[03:29:20] Speaker E: They're just gonna cuddle him from both sides.
[03:29:23] Speaker A: So Gulvarian fails and fails. Okay, so fundamentally, the two guards are taking.
If you.
Yeah. Galena, if you roll your.
You roll your damage. That's the haft.
But then.
Oh, wait, no. Guevara needs to take four. Oh, my God. What are you doing to me? What are you doing to me?
Does he need to do it four times?
[03:29:59] Speaker B: No, no, no. Because.
[03:30:00] Speaker A: No, he's just. Two times.
[03:30:01] Speaker E: Yeah.
[03:30:01] Speaker A: Okay, so Galena and Alfred roll for your damage. And then I'll just crunch these numbers.
There's these two balls of light just collide and.
Right, so one sec.
Rolling back up healthy.
And Alfred rolls.
[03:30:21] Speaker D: Oh,
[03:30:31] Speaker A: Okay.
[03:30:31] Speaker C: Right.
[03:30:32] Speaker A: So Galena's is the one that got half. So the one guard takes 21 plus 53.
So that is 21 plus 53. 74 damage.
[03:30:45] Speaker B: Yeah.
[03:30:46] Speaker A: No, so that is super severe.
[03:30:50] Speaker E: So does it get anything for being vulnerable as well?
[03:30:53] Speaker A: That's on the hit roll.
So then the other one would also therefore take four damage. So these are. These are there.
Okay, so the. The one that isn't vulnerable, like, they jump in the way. No go to save Golvarian. And then just like one of them is blown almost to death's door, the other is incinerated. So the one directly in front of Gulvarin is incinerated.
Gulvarian then takes a combined 42 plus 53, which is 95 damage, which. The one final royal guard, like, no, my lord. And like, it's just pulled the shield up. And like, he is just a shadow on the floor as he takes another four damage from protecting Lord Gulvarian.
And that the Both royal guards are just cremated at their lord's feet.
[03:31:53] Speaker E: Say what you want about Golvarian. He's like, he knows how to hire guards.
[03:31:56] Speaker B: Yeah.
Yeah.
[03:32:00] Speaker A: I don't know if they knew what they were signing up for.
Congratulations. So you both gained hope. And like, Golvarian just stands around and realizes, oh, I'm woefully unprotected.
So I'm going to interrupt.
And clearly time is of the essence. And Griffin screams out as a third hit point is stripped from him.
So as a car match that boyo.
[03:32:33] Speaker F: I mean, can I reach Griffin? Can as a car reach Griffin?
[03:32:38] Speaker C: You.
[03:32:39] Speaker A: I mean, you. You physically could. Like, he's currently, like, curled up, like, driving in this cage.
So there is this. Obviously there's this spinning rune that's emanating out at this range. You can see that there are also what seem to be like, burning, ruining inscriptions on the cage itself. Right.
It seems. And it, like between, you know, parrying and deflecting and striking back at the guard that you're fighting against, it would seem that, like, Guvarin just has this all out spell. Like the rich Guvarin is challenging channeling this ritual into the cage. Right.
But yeah, you could physically reach, but you don't know what happens when you get there.
[03:33:22] Speaker F: Yeah, that's true.
[03:33:23] Speaker A: Okay,
[03:33:29] Speaker F: I'm gonna see if I'm. I'm gonna just completely dodge past this guard.
[03:33:33] Speaker A: Yep.
[03:33:33] Speaker F: And as a car is going to shout to Cal and just go.
[03:33:36] Speaker A: He's unprotected. Now quickly.
[03:33:41] Speaker C: I did spotlight for exactly that. That exact thing.
[03:33:44] Speaker B: You're welcome.
[03:33:47] Speaker A: Thank you.
[03:33:50] Speaker F: I'm gonna go to close.
[03:33:53] Speaker A: Yeah.
[03:33:54] Speaker F: And then I guess I am close to Garian.
[03:33:57] Speaker A: You are? Yes.
[03:33:59] Speaker F: Cal, would you like to come and join me for a tag team?
[03:34:01] Speaker C: Yes.
Yes. Yes, please.
[03:34:10] Speaker A: Okay. So as a. Who's spending the hope? Azakar or Cal?
[03:34:13] Speaker C: I have hope if you want me to use my hope.
[03:34:15] Speaker F: If you could spend hope. Because I would like to spend three hope to cast smite. Which means on my next successful attack, I double the result of my damage roll.
[03:34:25] Speaker B: Nice. Nice. Smite that man.
[03:34:27] Speaker C: Let's do that.
[03:34:28] Speaker F: He deserves a smiting.
[03:34:31] Speaker C: Okay,
[03:34:34] Speaker F: okay, okay.
[03:34:36] Speaker A: Okay. So you're both making attack rolls.
[03:34:39] Speaker E: Yeah.
[03:34:40] Speaker F: Let me just whack that smite in the.
Oh, don't worry about the ape. There we go.
It's already taken out.
[03:34:58] Speaker C: I have no other hopes. I'm just gonna have to roll this raw dog it. So let's go.
That is not a good roll.
[03:35:10] Speaker F: I am going to. I'm going to spend A hope for Aya's soldier.
[03:35:16] Speaker A: Okay.
[03:35:17] Speaker F: And I'm also going to spend a hope for trusting your team as well. Actually no, I'll use Keen Sight because it's a bit more.
[03:35:24] Speaker E: And that would be trusting your team
[03:35:25] Speaker A: works just as well because you're tag teaming.
[03:35:28] Speaker F: Well, Keen Sight has a plus three
[03:35:30] Speaker A: and trust me, okay,
[03:35:34] Speaker F: I will roll.
[03:35:39] Speaker E: Okay.
[03:35:40] Speaker A: Do you want to use the 19 with fear or the 12 with hope?
[03:35:45] Speaker F: How much? I'm bloody stressed. I can't use my. I was gonna use my Fearless but I've got too much stress going on. Cal, touch me with your spirit.
[03:35:56] Speaker C: I think I can anymore.
[03:35:58] Speaker A: I don't think I want to take the two stress as a car. You can. You'll cap out but then you take a pit point of damage.
[03:36:04] Speaker F: Yeah, I'll do that then. Okay.
[03:36:06] Speaker A: So you max out your stress. You're now vulnerable and you take extra. Whenever you would take stress, you would take another hit. Point of damage.
[03:36:13] Speaker E: Okay,
[03:36:16] Speaker F: cool. So that makes it into a hope then. 19 with hope.
[03:36:20] Speaker A: 19 with hope is a hit.
[03:36:23] Speaker B: Yes.
[03:36:29] Speaker F: Round damage.
That's a 29 and that's doubled.
[03:36:37] Speaker A: 29 doubles to 58.
And cow, what's your damage?
[03:36:45] Speaker C: Double check.
[03:36:45] Speaker A: So my unstoppable always up at like plus three now.
[03:36:50] Speaker C: I think it's three now. Yep. So it'd be plus three on my damage, I think.
[03:36:54] Speaker A: Yeah, Correct.
[03:36:55] Speaker C: And then also spell render.
[03:36:59] Speaker A: A definitely a spell user. So another plus three.
[03:37:03] Speaker C: That's eight. So it's eight on top of what I roll.
[03:37:05] Speaker A: Okay.
[03:37:06] Speaker C: Is there anything you wanted to add, mate?
[03:37:08] Speaker F: I'm just going to use also second wind. So once per rest. When you succeed in an attack against an adversary, you can clear three stress. If you're close to an ally, you can. You can also clear two stress or Yay.
[03:37:21] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. So the two of you are stepping in.
[03:37:25] Speaker C: Yeah, I wanted my damage as well.
[03:37:27] Speaker A: So literally tag team the house of Stone. House stone to wrath.
[03:37:30] Speaker C: So I'm just going to add them.
[03:37:31] Speaker F: That's four.
[03:37:35] Speaker A: Okay, so we got 58 plus 29 plus eight. So hold up.
50. 58. 88. 86 plus eight.
94 damage.
[03:37:48] Speaker C: Yeah.
[03:37:50] Speaker A: Okay.
That is super severe damage.
[03:37:56] Speaker F: I don't want to meet that dad.
[03:37:58] Speaker B: I want to meet that dad.
[03:38:01] Speaker A: As Gulvarian looks down and sees the the royal guards just literally obliterated by the tag team of Galena and Alfric. He looks up and before he gets a chance to draw his sword, he is laid into by Alfric and Azakar.
[03:38:19] Speaker F: You mean Cal and Azaka.
[03:38:21] Speaker A: Sorry.
And yeah. Describe to me what this tag team looks like.
[03:38:32] Speaker C: How dead is he? Is he dead like that? That's quite important.
[03:38:36] Speaker A: He staggered.
[03:38:37] Speaker C: He staggered. Okay.
[03:38:39] Speaker D: He staggered.
[03:38:41] Speaker F: I mean, we've been working on this probably, haven't we?
[03:38:44] Speaker C: Yeah. I feel like we do a lot of training together anyway, so it's more of a case of, like, this is
[03:38:49] Speaker D: their foreplay,
[03:38:54] Speaker C: I feel like. Maybe because I'm aware, like, would I be aware that narratively, that Azakar has beef with these. With this guy?
Like, would Ascar have mentioned it or not?
[03:39:07] Speaker F: Probably. He probably would have mentioned it to you.
[03:39:10] Speaker C: In that case, I think I would let Ascar take the leads. I would probably like to, like. I feel like Cal would, like, feign to, like, go to hit at first instead step, like, kick his, like, shin instead to bring the stagger Gavarian forward. Saskar can take the lead on the hit. And then I would go in with spell render and maybe hit him with the hilt of my sword as well. So just really with him.
[03:39:36] Speaker F: Yeah,
[03:39:40] Speaker A: yeah.
[03:39:40] Speaker F: The runes on Azakar Scimitar are glowing sort of bright white as he's channeling all of his divinity into this attack.
[03:39:51] Speaker A: Okay.
As you pummel Govarian with blow after blow from blade after blade, Golarian, like, struggles to, like, is trying to deflect you as best as he can with, like, arcane shields from the wands.
But as you both strike in a kind of matching, like, an X shape across his chest, he staggers a few steps backwards and, like, drops half almost to one knee, and seemingly everything goes quiet.
And you hear his heavy breathing as his blood splatters onto the green carpet at his feet.
And then, as his shoulders rise,
[03:40:48] Speaker C: he
[03:40:48] Speaker A: draws the magic sword from its sheath. Finally. And as he looks up to you, he says, I will not fall to mere explorers like you.
And as he looks up to you, his eyes blaze with an intense heat as he rises up and bellows, I am Gulvarian Sorrowflame.
I am the Everflame Flame.
And a corona of fire explodes out of him, knocking the two of you back down the steps and behind. As the flame rips out through the hall, the blades of the statues behind him seemingly ignite in the presence of the Lord of House, Stone Thrath.
[03:41:49] Speaker C: And
[03:41:53] Speaker A: as the.
Let me scroll.
[03:42:01] Speaker C: Yeah.
[03:42:02] Speaker A: Oh, no. Please go away.
That's what we're saying. Please go away.
As the blades ignite and glow red hot, the Sigil of How Stone Thra on the wall behind him also ignites. And Gorian looks towards you as this flame ripples out through the room.
And you watch as his seemingly. His hair begins to catch and flames envelop his form.
[03:42:37] Speaker D: Oh no. Oh no.
[03:42:39] Speaker A: I am the Ever Flame. And this. This will be your tomb. He bellows
[03:42:48] Speaker D: Griffin. I don't like your dad.
[03:42:49] Speaker F: Don't. Super Saiyan.
[03:42:52] Speaker D: Super Saiyan.
[03:42:59] Speaker E: The next session is just gonna be him staring at us, going
[03:43:04] Speaker F: for the
[03:43:05] Speaker C: entire time
[03:43:08] Speaker A: as this flame rips out of him. The windows at the back of the room burst outwards. And you feel this sort of like sudden rush of cold air that billows in as the. As it sort of like transfers out with the intense heat in this room.
And you see like, Gorian's like, hair, eyebrows, beard have caught fire. He looks like a burning avatar.
Flames rise from his. From his shoulders.
And the. The sword in his hand has similarly caught fire as he looks to you.
Yeah. And declares, this will be your tomb.
You all like his. His thunder is seemingly stolen as the ship shudders violently for a moment.
And elsewhere in the gilded pyre, a number like the navigators in the navigation deck look out through the like, wondering what on earth is happening in the throne room. They look out through their observation windows and see something churning within the wildfires of the island below.
And as the ship shakes more and more violently, the.
The navigators, like. As this shape emerges, one of the navigators slumps back in their chair slightly and says, by the gods, what is that?
As a.
As a blazing figure, a demigod of primal fire emerges from the wildfires. And on the mountain down below, the. Your. Your other five characters. What? Your other four characters. Watch as Exo emerges from the wildfire, the flames coalescing into this gigantic form, this colossal form that has consumed the essence of Burunan. And as Exo peels his head back and releases a. A violently primal.
We are back in the throne room, and Gulvarian now stands before you, an avatar of hellfire.
Who wants to go next?
Oh, well, cow's got his hand up. Go, Cow, go.
[03:45:46] Speaker C: Oh, sorry, yeah.
[03:45:49] Speaker A: Oh, was that. The original Gulvarian immediately takes a spotlight,
[03:45:54] Speaker B: and
[03:45:56] Speaker A: he's going to, with a sweep of his sword, attack you with a pyroclasm.
So between the two of you, there's a 12 hit.
[03:46:08] Speaker F: Yeah. Meets it beats it for me.
[03:46:12] Speaker A: Okay. In which case. Yeah. Gulvarian, with a sweep of his sword, deals you both 15 damage.
[03:46:23] Speaker F: Baby damage.
[03:46:25] Speaker A: Baby damage.
I'm now going to pass back to you lot.
[03:46:31] Speaker C: I'll go.
[03:46:32] Speaker B: I'll go. Go.
[03:46:33] Speaker A: Ready? We go.
[03:46:34] Speaker D: I've got one.
Is it just me and the guard.
The one remaining guard you've got the
[03:46:41] Speaker A: mage stood with you. Yes.
[03:46:43] Speaker D: Okay. Just checking. Please continue. Sorry.
[03:46:48] Speaker B: Still there? Yeah, they're still there.
[03:46:51] Speaker A: So yeah, go Away we go.
[03:46:52] Speaker B: Okay. I am going to use my signature move.
[03:47:00] Speaker A: Yes.
[03:47:03] Speaker B: And me and Vinnie are going to fly at this guy and we're gonna do a bite.
[03:47:13] Speaker A: Okay.
[03:47:15] Speaker B: Together.
[03:47:16] Speaker E: Spicy bait.
[03:47:17] Speaker B: Yeah, that's. That's what the signature move is called.
So I'm gonna get close range as
[03:47:26] Speaker A: you sprawing over the hair statue that is not animated.
[03:47:31] Speaker B: So if I do my signature move, I can roll a D20 as my hope dice.
[03:47:36] Speaker A: Okay. So when you go to roll, you've got the option to change the. Like you can click on the dice to change its size.
[03:47:48] Speaker B: Okay. Her Hope is a D20.
Very nice.
Yeah. Cool.
Can I use. I'm going to use my Plus 2 for surrounded by found family as well.
[03:48:04] Speaker A: Yeah, both my dads.
[03:48:06] Speaker B: My two dads are there.
[03:48:13] Speaker A: One.
[03:48:16] Speaker F: Well.
[03:48:17] Speaker B: Unbelievable.
[03:48:19] Speaker A: Oh, sorry. Bring a pardon. I hit against Alfric and I hit against Cal and Azakar.
So I need everyone within far range, which I believe is pretty much everyone bar Alfric, to lose a hope.
[03:48:37] Speaker B: Oh, that's nice.
[03:48:38] Speaker A: And I gain a fear.
But yes, a 12 with fear does not hit, unfortunately. And I will gain a fear.
So yeah, Ravi, as you kind of jump in, Gulvarian now moves with the speed of a flickering flame. And yeah, as you jump in, he sort of looks up to you and then catch fundamentally catches Vinnie on his forearm and then flings you back before sort of like rising back to full height. Sword in one hand, wand in the other.
The Guvarian will immediately retaliate against you. Rayri.
Cool for an 18 to hit.
[03:49:25] Speaker B: Wait, wait, wait.
[03:49:27] Speaker E: I was gonna be a crit for a second.
[03:49:30] Speaker A: It almost wasn't it.
[03:49:32] Speaker B: I don't think that hits actually.
Actually, yeah, because Vinnies in if Vinny's in melee range of them.
[03:49:45] Speaker A: Yeah.
[03:49:45] Speaker B: I add two to my invasion.
[03:49:47] Speaker A: Okay, so you go up to 19. Yeah. That does not hit. In which case Gulvarium, if he makes an attack and misses, he may re roll the dice. If he does. So you have attack, you have advantage against him until the next attack hits. Victory or victory or something. Senders. Guarian screams as he has another go, but it's a miss. Okay. So the next attack. He's now got advantage on him until the next attack. Who would like to step in?
[03:50:24] Speaker E: I'll have a cracker Space.
[03:50:28] Speaker A: We desperately try to keep the combat away from Alfric, who's Being incinerated.
[03:50:34] Speaker E: We've got to address that at some point. Do you want to go inside, George?
[03:50:37] Speaker A: Alfric. Okay.
[03:50:39] Speaker D: It's fine. It's fine.
Okay.
The.
[03:50:45] Speaker F: The.
[03:50:46] Speaker D: The rapier
[03:50:50] Speaker A: also. Sorry, Livy, as you missed whilst within close range of Golvarian.
Has he still got that? He does not have that. Never mind. Ignore me.
[03:51:01] Speaker E: He can't shame you anymore.
[03:51:02] Speaker A: He's not shame me anymore.
[03:51:03] Speaker B: He's just made a fire and. Fire.
[03:51:05] Speaker A: He's just made a fire.
Yes. What's alfric doing?
[03:51:13] Speaker D: Rapier.
[03:51:14] Speaker A: Okay, roll to heat.
As you dance with this.
[03:51:24] Speaker D: 21 with it.
[03:51:25] Speaker A: That is very a hit.
[03:51:28] Speaker D: Excellent.
Roll that. Dimash.
[03:51:32] Speaker A: The sprite squeaks as you slash her across the chest for 25 damage. Major damage. She takes two hit points.
And as Alfred. Because you kind of flinch slightly waiting for the. Like that retaliate retaliatory flame to kind of watch over you, you realize it does not come.
And this pyro third kind of staggers back. And the body language she's giving off now shows that she is somewhat wary of her vulnerability. Right now, as you've rolled with hope, do you want to hold the spotlight and go again?
[03:52:12] Speaker D: Yes, I think I can.
Yes.
[03:52:15] Speaker B: If possible.
[03:52:15] Speaker D: I'd like to get rid of this and start helping pommel the old man.
What is a 20 with fear?
[03:52:31] Speaker A: 20 with fear is a hit.
I will take a fear
[03:52:36] Speaker B: and I
[03:52:37] Speaker D: will roll that damage.
[03:52:42] Speaker A: 27 damage. Talk me through what you do to this pyrofurch.
[03:52:48] Speaker D: I think I. I look at her. I look at what's going on across the room. I look at her and then I just kind of.
And stuff her. Just.
[03:52:59] Speaker A: Okay. And you run your rapier through her heart and she just collapses.
And you watch as she begins to smolder as her body hits the ground and the blazing orb she conjured disappears with her as her life like, disappears along with her life.
Life essence.
You can do a run if you want to.
[03:53:23] Speaker B: I would.
[03:53:23] Speaker D: I would love to do a run.
[03:53:25] Speaker A: And if you want to run further than close, you can give me an agility role.
[03:53:30] Speaker B: Where's.
[03:53:31] Speaker D: Where is our close is down there. And then coming up.
[03:53:35] Speaker A: Everybody.
Okay. Eleven with fear.
[03:53:44] Speaker B: The.
[03:53:44] Speaker A: The marble is a bit too hot and scorched from the blazing orb, so you're not able to get far enough.
I will harvest that fear and clustered as you are, my lord. Shouts the other pyro third. And she will spend one of my fear to bombard you all with arcane artillery.
So I need everyone to roll me an agility reaction roll, please. Difficulty 16.
I will roll for Ash. Doesn't matter. Ray has hacked cheat codes.
So as a car passes, ducks out, dives out the way of the blaze, Cal does not pass.
[03:54:32] Speaker E: You need one for me as well?
[03:54:33] Speaker A: Sorry, Please. Yes, everyone. Everyone in the scene.
[03:54:37] Speaker C: I can. I think I can re roll a.
I haven't got any hope. That's annoying.
I don't have the hope to re roll, so that's fine.
[03:54:47] Speaker A: But, yes, I found Galena passes and just one from Alfric now.
[03:54:54] Speaker D: Oh, and me.
[03:54:55] Speaker A: Yes, please.
[03:54:57] Speaker D: Sorry, was that an agility?
[03:54:58] Speaker A: Did you say agility Reaction.
12. Okay, so everyone takes.
Well, so as a car and Galena, you will take four hit points of damage. Like four damage. And Cal and Alfric, you will take nine damage. Damage.
Cool.
These bolts strike you
[03:55:29] Speaker F: and.
[03:55:30] Speaker A: And that's it for me. Let's pass over to. Let's pass over to Gleaner.
[03:55:37] Speaker E: Cool.
As I run up, I'm gonna ping another.
Another spark. Cl.
Now that his boys are.
When I'm truly out of the way, if I can.
[03:55:48] Speaker A: Well, I will actually. I'll quickly jump in Galena and say, now you've. You've just seen this eight. This ace of our man explode into flames.
But you've also noticed that he is now fully engrossed in the battle against Cal, Alf, Azakar, Rayri, Vinnie, and the. The arcane emanations coming from the cage to your right now seem less focused.
[03:56:18] Speaker E: Ah. Okay.
[03:56:19] Speaker A: No longer focus. Seemingly no longer focusing on the ritual.
[03:56:22] Speaker E: Too busy. Lovely.
[03:56:28] Speaker F: Save my boy my health here.
[03:56:31] Speaker D: I could try another.
[03:56:34] Speaker B: I can't.
[03:56:35] Speaker A: What.
[03:56:35] Speaker D: The name is Unmagic the magic on my next go, if that helps.
[03:56:39] Speaker E: Oh, yeah, that might be. Yeah, that's. That feels like that's our best bet. So.
So like, I could probably deal with. I've given about five minutes or so to work on it, but that's. That's. That's too long.
Maybe.
Yeah, actually, I'm gonna. I'll. I'll use my.
My web launcher on him with a mystic tether.
[03:57:14] Speaker A: Okay. Okay.
[03:57:15] Speaker E: So, yeah, let that weedy fella go, and you can. You can leave alive.
[03:57:26] Speaker A: Okay. The difficulty against Golvarian the ever flame is 9th, 13 and 20 with hope. Does it Nice.
[03:57:36] Speaker E: And I gain a hope because I've rolled my.
I've rolled a six on my dice, and that's my special number.
[03:57:44] Speaker A: As an aside, it would actually be 21 with hope because of the advantage.
But yeah, successful hit. So his advantage is gone.
[03:57:55] Speaker E: Great. So he's restrained. He's temporarily Restrained. I don't think it does any damage.
[03:57:59] Speaker A: Okay, so there's one stress damage, apparently.
Marker stressful. He's very stressed right now. Okay. So, yeah, Golvarian as these, like, what is it an actual web launcher? Or is it like arc Magic webs, Magic net.
[03:58:15] Speaker E: I mean, it's.
[03:58:16] Speaker B: It's.
[03:58:17] Speaker E: It is like real liquid. It's a. It's a little kind of ball that hit. That shoots out when it hits you. It just kind of goes into.
It's magically enhanced, but it is gunky.
[03:58:28] Speaker A: Okay. In which case. Yeah, so it gunks him down and slows him down. He's temporarily restrained. Okay, very good.
[03:58:35] Speaker E: Jog over to the boys as well.
[03:58:38] Speaker A: Okay. In which case, Cal, let's pass over to you.
[03:58:43] Speaker C: So he's restrained. Does that make him vulnerable? Right.
[03:58:49] Speaker A: Possibly.
I'm gonna say yes. I'm gonna say yes. Yeah.
[03:58:53] Speaker C: Either way, I think as like, nice.
[03:58:58] Speaker A: What?
[03:58:59] Speaker C: Quite nice. So like, he's made vulnerable. He's attacked. He's like thrown Ryrie aside, which has pissed Kelloff. He's obviously bursting to flame. And quite angrily, like Carol, like leans. Leans forward and says, you made me be the ever flame. But we are I as blades. And with that, I want to use that as my dedicated. Which is now my new orderborn saying. So when I use my hope dice next, I can.
[03:59:26] Speaker A: Yes.
[03:59:27] Speaker C: Roll a D20.
[03:59:28] Speaker A: So amazing.
[03:59:29] Speaker C: With my next roll, I think I can.
Can I change it? Yes, I can. I can Change it to D20.
I don't have any hope, but I'm just gonna go for it.
Let's go.
Hopefully this works. Oh, with. With spell render with the damage as well.
Oh, God sake.
So annoyed. Okay, plus side, you get a hope instead of hope.
Didn't hit him though. This is really annoying.
I.
[04:00:03] Speaker A: Okay, so I will step in and the royal guard is gonna rush in, my lord.
And this guard is going to spend a fear to flurry the twin blade in his hands.
And that will attack everyone with him very close.
But does a 9 to hit hit any of you.
Okay.
In which case his royal guard like starts to FL like flourishes the blade. But as he gets a few steps up the stairs, the sheer heat emanating from Golvarian makes the guard falter.
And Galena as a car like those of you who've watched, who can see this guard coming, you can see from the fear in this sanguvar's eyes, he has never seen Golvarian in this state.
[04:01:13] Speaker B: I haven't seen him in flame mode.
[04:01:16] Speaker A: And you see the. The Resolve of this guard begin to falter.
I will then spend another fear as the residual energies of the ritual slurp another hit point off of Griffin.
And Griffin has three hit points remaining.
[04:01:41] Speaker D: Sorry, Griffin.
[04:01:44] Speaker E: Oh, go on, Alfred. Help our poor sweet apple sweet boy.
[04:01:50] Speaker A: Alfric.
[04:01:51] Speaker B: Can I.
[04:01:52] Speaker E: You give.
[04:01:52] Speaker D: Can I give it a go? Can I. Can I scooch? Scooch. On my way to go beat up the old man.
On my way past the cage, I will stop and I will attempt to cast the thing.
[04:02:07] Speaker A: Fan favorite level.
[04:02:07] Speaker C: Thar.
[04:02:13] Speaker B: Up you go.
[04:02:16] Speaker A: So I will say that the cage isn't. It doesn't have like a bottom. It's just the bars. So if you can. If you levitate, you will just lift the cage off of Griffin.
[04:02:27] Speaker D: But I assume that wouldn't.
[04:02:32] Speaker A: Well, you do wonder if perhaps being in this runic circle is what's.
[04:02:36] Speaker D: Oh, if I could just get.
[04:02:37] Speaker A: That's Griffin a lot of harm.
[04:02:40] Speaker D: Good. Very good point. I. I will. In that case, where is levitate? I do have levitate.
[04:02:47] Speaker A: I would. Yeah. I would argue that somewhere between, well, your well read experience and your ego romantic experience, there's probably some story you've read where someone's had to rescue someone from a situation similar to this.
[04:03:00] Speaker F: You're gonna rescue the princess?
[04:03:05] Speaker D: So cool.
[04:03:06] Speaker B: I will.
[04:03:06] Speaker D: I'll do a spell to levitate.
[04:03:09] Speaker A: Okay.
Is there anything else you can add to juice that up?
Would you like to spend an experience retroactively?
[04:03:19] Speaker D: Yes, I think. Can I spend.
Well read? Possibly?
[04:03:24] Speaker A: Yes, absolutely. So if you spend your hope, that is 17 with hope, so you gain your hope back, nothing else.
[04:03:32] Speaker C: And.
[04:03:32] Speaker A: Yeah. What is it?
[04:03:33] Speaker D: You're levitating the cage.
[04:03:36] Speaker A: The cage, you say?
Well, just have to move that for a sec. Oh, let's move that back.
Okay. So as you levitate the cage, seemingly distracted by the fight against the others.
[04:03:56] Speaker C: Go.
[04:03:56] Speaker A: Varian doesn't seemingly notice as this golden cave begins to lift.
And you're able to slide it away from this prone form that's kind of curled up on the floor.
[04:04:13] Speaker D: I was gonna say. Can I not throw it?
[04:04:15] Speaker E: No.
[04:04:17] Speaker C: Maybe.
[04:04:18] Speaker D: I don't think.
[04:04:30] Speaker A: Over him.
[04:04:31] Speaker F: No.
[04:04:31] Speaker A: No.
So, yes. As you sort of like levitate and kind of discard the cage away, the cage kind of rattles and rolls as it. While it's. As it's on its side and. Yeah. Griffin is now free for you to snag.
[04:04:48] Speaker B: Yeah, I can put snag.
Do you want me to roll for snag?
[04:04:54] Speaker D: I have. I do have a minus one strength.
[04:04:57] Speaker B: Well, I have nobody left behind on Vinnie So, because Vinnie has previously saved Azakar from a burning,
[04:05:08] Speaker A: I will flashback just very quickly to your conversation with Meridius. Like his commands, his explanation of the operation.
The. The pendants that you have will activate localized portals that will teleport you back to the battle tower.
[04:05:25] Speaker B: Oh, should we just grab them and go?
Oh, if anyone would have remembered that earlier, Dan.
[04:05:35] Speaker E: I mean, that cage is massive. I bet like me or Ray could have just walked in
[04:05:41] Speaker B: through the bars.
[04:05:45] Speaker A: We would have got.
[04:05:46] Speaker B: We had to get Griffin out just.
[04:05:50] Speaker A: So what's the. What's the plan?
[04:05:53] Speaker B: Can I run through, grab Griffin, put him on the back of Vinnie and out again?
[04:06:05] Speaker A: We're gonna need an agility check to get that far in one.
One swift go.
[04:06:11] Speaker D: Can I assist you in any way since I'm standing there?
[04:06:16] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean, if you've got like a little snack or something. The other end. That would make Vinnie run fast.
[04:06:24] Speaker A: If you want to throw a pocket biscuit to Vinny to spur him. Yes.
Yeah, that's. That's one hope.
[04:06:32] Speaker B: One hope to throw a pocket biscuit.
[04:06:34] Speaker A: Yeah. And then that will give you.
That will give you advantage on the hope on the roll.
[04:06:42] Speaker D: There you go.
[04:06:42] Speaker B: Hope.
[04:06:43] Speaker D: Spent so much hope now chilling.
[04:06:47] Speaker B: Don't roll like trash for once.
Oh, it's 20 with fear.
[04:06:51] Speaker A: Okay. A 20 with fear. You do get there.
And as you.
You manage to scoop up.
Scoop up Griffin.
I will. However, as baby. As you step onto the. The like the. The ritual runes, you.
You suddenly feel sluggish. Like Vinnie's legs buckle slightly.
You need to mark a point. Like a hit point of damage. And Vinnie as well, if that's. I think Vinny would like.
[04:07:26] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[04:07:28] Speaker A: As this ritual begins to weaken you as well.
[04:07:32] Speaker B: So hit point for me and one for Vinnie. Yep.
[04:07:36] Speaker A: But that's. That's my fear interjection.
What's the. What's the plan now, everyone who wants to. Who wants to jump in or are you
[04:07:49] Speaker B: beat me up. Beat me up.
[04:07:52] Speaker A: Are you teleporting back to the battle tower?
[04:07:55] Speaker B: Well, I guess. Are we.
[04:07:57] Speaker F: I want to have one more. I want to have one more splash at Dad.
[04:08:00] Speaker C: I think.
[04:08:01] Speaker D: I think you should.
[04:08:05] Speaker C: As best we can until.
[04:08:07] Speaker A: Okay, so Rayvi, as you and Vinnie snag Griffin, sort of like pull it. Pull this prone form onto Vinnie's back, dog.
As you activate. As you activate the necklace, there is a corona of silvery blue light. And you teleport out of the. Of the throne room.
We will tell you what we. Pseudo. Pseudo. Winding down. What's Galena doing Let's jump in with Galena.
[04:08:46] Speaker C: Oh,
[04:08:49] Speaker E: this.
This nutter isn't looking, I'm assuming, particularly on death's door, is he?
[04:08:56] Speaker A: Not yet, no. It looks like the. The strongest impression of a second wind you've ever seen. The man caught fire.
Yeah, Willingly caught fire.
[04:09:13] Speaker E: Right?
There's something weird outside. I can feel it.
We should get out of here. We've got what we came for.
And can I see anything that is ostentatious and stealable nearby that potentially Comstock might like?
[04:09:36] Speaker A: There is.
I think there is a clatter as the royal guard next to you drops his sword.
[04:09:46] Speaker E: Oh, well.
[04:09:47] Speaker A: Drops his sword. Now the. The buckler's mounted to his wrist. Drops his sword.
[04:09:54] Speaker E: Oh. Tell you what. With those special bucklers, is there by any chance a piece of one of the previous guards nearby that has one of those on?
[04:10:05] Speaker A: Maybe it's just the scorch bucklers is all that's left.
[04:10:10] Speaker E: Cool.
[04:10:10] Speaker A: Yeah.
[04:10:11] Speaker E: I'll snag one and. And I'll. And I'll port on out of there, I think.
[04:10:14] Speaker A: Okay, so you. You grab. You dip down, grab the buckler, and as you activate the. The rune on your necklace, you also teleport back to the battle tower.
Alfric, what's Alfred doing?
[04:10:34] Speaker D: Are we. Are we staying behind to. To finish off the old man, or are we we bouncing? What are the dads doing?
[04:10:40] Speaker F: We're gonna have one more, I think.
[04:10:44] Speaker D: Okay, I'm gonna. I'm gonna assist you. I think. If I can get over to you,
[04:10:49] Speaker A: can I get over to you with an agility?
[04:10:52] Speaker D: Yes, I'm gonna. Agility and agility.
[04:10:57] Speaker A: I mean,
[04:11:01] Speaker D: possibly not.
[04:11:03] Speaker A: Okay, so you get about halfway as, like, Gulvarian sort of, like, looks up and.
No, no, no.
He bellows as he realizes the cage has been discarded and Griffin is gone. And his face contorts into one of rage and Alfric and. Sorry, Cal and azakar. Does a 12 hit you?
[04:11:31] Speaker C: Yeah, it does. Yeah.
[04:11:34] Speaker A: The two of you, as he. As Golvarian, like flames of anger rip out of his form.
You are singed for half. Only eight damage. That was a.
That was a roll.
[04:11:49] Speaker D: That's a light breeze.
[04:11:52] Speaker A: Yes. This. Yeah. You're buffeted by these flames. As he realizes his son is gone.
[04:12:00] Speaker D: Is he close? Am I now close to him?
[04:12:03] Speaker A: You should be. Yes.
Well, you can move. And he will be in close.
[04:12:09] Speaker B: Cool.
[04:12:10] Speaker D: I will.
Hello. I'm also here.
Can I spend a.
To make a scene?
[04:12:26] Speaker E: I'm also here, and no one's paying any attention to me.
[04:12:32] Speaker C: I love Alfred.
[04:12:36] Speaker D: Make a Scene. And he gets a minus two to his difficulty rating.
[04:12:41] Speaker A: Okay.
[04:12:42] Speaker D: Minus two. Yeah.
Difficulty. So I. I run up frantically violining. And also I've stolen his son.
[04:12:51] Speaker A: Yes,
[04:12:55] Speaker B: Stole. I've stolen it.
[04:12:59] Speaker A: As you spend your three hope to make a scene.
The Golarian like looks. Looks up to you. And.
And the flames burn brighter and hotter.
Are you passing the spotlight over to Azakar and Cal?
[04:13:14] Speaker D: Yes.
[04:13:14] Speaker F: Yeah.
[04:13:15] Speaker A: Okay.
[04:13:15] Speaker D: That was me doing my bit for the boys.
[04:13:17] Speaker A: Who's. Who's going first?
[04:13:20] Speaker C: I'm happy if you want to go first, mate.
[04:13:22] Speaker E: Yeah, I'll go.
[04:13:24] Speaker F: Azakar's also then gonna use his orderborn and use one of his dedications. And he says just by Aya's might, my blade will strike true. And I will use that.
[04:13:41] Speaker A: So that is turning your hope into a D20.
[04:13:44] Speaker F: It was indeed. And I will.
I'm gonna hit him with the scimitar. I'm gonna use my last.
My. My hope before.
[04:13:54] Speaker A: So before you go on, as you take the spotlight within very close range, you will take the flame like the flames around and burn so hot. The first things first. You take 12 damage.
[04:14:12] Speaker F: Okay, I will. That's all my armor slots gone.
[04:14:16] Speaker A: As he is a living inferno. Right.
[04:14:19] Speaker C: Can I.
Sorry, can I use. I am your shield. You can mark a stress and take that instead. So you have an armor swap just in case.
[04:14:28] Speaker E: Nope.
[04:14:29] Speaker A: You can. You can.
[04:14:31] Speaker C: Yeah.
[04:14:31] Speaker E: Okay.
[04:14:32] Speaker A: So cal takes the 12 damage instead.
[04:14:35] Speaker C: Yeah.
[04:14:37] Speaker A: And now swing your sword.
[04:14:39] Speaker F: Okay.
[04:14:39] Speaker B: Yeah.
[04:14:39] Speaker F: I've added eye a soldier to add a little bit more to that.
Oh, come. Did that do a D20?
[04:14:49] Speaker A: No, no.
Roll. Roll a D20 and you're swapping out a four.
So it's 10 plus your D20.
So that's a 30 with hope. That is a hit.
As he's down to difficulty 17.
[04:15:17] Speaker F: So 26.
[04:15:18] Speaker A: 26 damage. That is one sweep of the sword. That is major damage. And you cut Guvarin one way across the chest.
You've got hope. Are you passing spotlight to Cal?
[04:15:32] Speaker F: Dude.
[04:15:32] Speaker A: Cap. Go, go, go, go cow go.
[04:15:34] Speaker C: I'm gonna. Yeah. It's gonna also take a swing. Can't do much else, so I'm going to do that. Plus I'm gonna add my blade experience and I'm gonna see if we can get a little bit further this time than last time. But who knows anymore.
I got 20 with fear.
[04:15:57] Speaker A: 20 with fear is a hit.
[04:16:01] Speaker C: And I've got four plus five. So nine because of unstoppable. So that's nine damage on top of whatever I roll now.
[04:16:09] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah, perfect.
28 damage.
[04:16:20] Speaker C: That'll be 37
[04:16:23] Speaker A: plus night. Yes, 37.
Okay.
As a Karl and cow, talk me through this.
As you deal severe damage to him.
[04:16:43] Speaker F: I like to think that Azakar has probably sort of got him somewhere in the ribs.
[04:16:51] Speaker E: That's.
[04:16:51] Speaker F: That actually sort of like held him in place while then Cal probably makes the final blow.
[04:16:58] Speaker C: Do you want like, how do you feel about me cutting off his head?
His fiery head? Do it if he's stuck in place, just like some. Like this.
The broadsword just like if he's stuck in place and it's a big mighty swing.
[04:17:18] Speaker A: In which case. In which case as a car, as you sort of like you swing, you parry away his sword ember.
And then using the momentum, you run him through the sternum and he like doubles over the blade.
And like looking at this sword like disappearing into his chest, he looks up to you and his face, he's almost lost all facial features to the flame as he grips the handle of your scimitar. And you watch as the metal under his hands begins to blister and burn and warp under the intense heat. And as he looks up to you and Stone Giraffe will never die, he says. And then California just sweeps his head.
[04:18:11] Speaker C: No, there's no words. Just like the biggest fu. Is to not react to his. His like reaction.
[04:18:19] Speaker A: And in which case, as the sword cleaves through his neck cleanly and there's a.
There's not even a moment for the mind to register what's happened as the head, like the eyes go slightly glassy and the head rolls from its neck and tumbles and rolls across the floor.
And as it comes to us, as it slows to a standstill, the carpet under its. Under the head scorches slightly. And then the flames peter out and return to the now bleeding, decapitated head of Lord Gulvarian sorrowing.
And as the body falls backwards off your scimitar as a car and collapses to the. To the burnt and blood stained green carpet underfoot. The pyrofurge to your behind you drops to her knees and she shouts. And you feel the. The ship shake and shudder a second time. And you, like everything, suddenly lurches back backwards and you feel that the ship is wildly banking seemingly away from this. You now see this horned flaming demon that's emerging from the fires of the island below, looming up and this blazing axe in its left hand as it clutches it in both and begins to swing at the gilded pyre. And the ship boom.
Veers hard Enough that everyone tumbles as the axe scrapes along the underside of the ship.
What did the three of you do?
[04:20:06] Speaker C: You need to go.
[04:20:07] Speaker A: Let's get out of here now.
Okay. As the three of you activate your runes and you teleport out of the throne room of House Stonethraft, you vanish in a corona of blue light.
And as you reappear back on the battle tower, you can see Archmagister Meridius, like looking out of the like the observation port in the battle tower. And his face has gone paler than it usually than it usually is as he looks at this enormous godlike creature that's just cleaved a line, a gouge right along the hull of the the Gilded Pyre, which is desperately performing evasive maneuvers and gaining height to pull away from the island.
And Meridius looks to the the five of you as. And then looks down to Griffin.
And as he peers back out towards the mountain, we zoom in on Cassandre, Guardi, Abe and Cooper. As you've just watch happen in the space overhead. And you are now, I would say that you're stood in the shadow of this enormous monster flaming monstrosity that Exo has become.
But there is no shadow in the wake of the flame that the light that he emits.
And as Exo turns his attention towards the mountain that you're stood on once more, you hear his deep booming voice rip like ripple through the air.
He commands you.
And the epitaph, like appears from behind you. And threat assessment.
Absolutely.
It is time.
The epitaph instructs you.
And as the epitaph begins to conjure gold jade mana into marble constructs.
And as the as the four of you peer up to Exo, as everyone in the battle tower peers down to. To a wounded Griffin.
We'll call it there.
[04:22:48] Speaker C: My boy.
[04:22:49] Speaker D: My boy.
[04:22:50] Speaker C: We need him back.
[04:22:54] Speaker D: Let's throw him off.
[04:22:57] Speaker C: There we go.
[04:23:01] Speaker E: To watch his dad getting murdered. At least it's like.
[04:23:06] Speaker C: Yeah, sorry I murked your dad.
You're alive.
