[00:00:43] Speaker D: Alive.
[00:00:44] Speaker A: Many thumbs up.
Yes, we had an unexpected but desperately needed a break last week, but we are back for episode 16 of our third campaign, the Titan Isles. A Dagger Heart actual play.
And when we last met our.
Well, when we last saw our heroes, you had just kind of wrapped up a bit of a rest, like an overnight stay in the city of. In the town of Dorlishal in the southern bay of the Titan Isles.
And yeah, you saw a few people, you shook a few hands, you. You had a couple of chin wags. And now you are back on a. On a ship. You're on a boat. On a big boat. Big sails. Sailing back towards the Titan Isles to kick start the finale of this whole. This whole campaign.
Sound about right?
Am I right? Notes correct? Yeah.
[00:01:52] Speaker D: Yeah,
[00:01:55] Speaker A: pretty much. Pretty much. So with all that said, if you happen to be stumbling through the wilderness that is the Internet. And you found us. Hi, welcome.

[00:02:56] Speaker F: Yeah, go on, mate.
[00:02:57] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:03:14] Speaker C: Hello, I'm Nate and I'll be playing Griffin, a sanguvar bard.
[00:03:20] Speaker D: Hi, I'm Livy and I'm playing Abe, the Guardian keeper.
[00:03:26] Speaker F: Hello, my name is Theo and I'll be playing Cooper. Dragon scent.
[00:03:30] Speaker A: Rogue.
[00:03:32] Speaker B: Hi, my name is Georgia and I'll be playing Cassandre, an ace of our sorcerer.
[00:03:39] Speaker E: Hi, I'm Tim and I'm playing Gardi, the Johnny Druid.
[00:03:44] Speaker A: And my name is DM Dan, the games master. In this adventure, In a world shaped by dragons, saved by primal deities, and rich with legends of Heroes whose deeds are carved into the very bones of history.
One might think all wonders have long since been uncovered. Yet beneath the weight of mists, mystery and myth, memories stir in the age of rediscovery. Many of elsewhere's previously undiscovered mysteries have been returned to obscurity or twisted and warped by the effects of the Eschaton.
Despite the efforts of the leaders of Ava More, there are still countless unknowns waiting to be found once again.
But some muse. The Eschaton shook elsewhere to her very foundations, her very core. So what if there were secrets of elsewhere, utterly locked away, unearthed as a direct result of the Eschaton?
Truths buried deep within the ruins of time, Whispers of what was during even creation's first breaths.
Perhaps that is the true nature of Wanda.
Not in finding answers, but in daring to seek them.
Perhaps our heroes sailing towards the Titan Isles Southeastern Mountain will uncover new truths never glimpsed by mortal eyes.
Ever.
And so we find the five of you aboard a rather large and impressive vessel.
We.
Let's tell you what, let's. Let's get on a little mappy. Let's get on a little mappy.
Gonna. Is that on a little mappy? Yes, it is. There we are.
Yeah. We find you aboard the Tidebreaker, the large gate galleon ship captains by none other than pirate queen Elismira herself.
As the.
The.
The boat rocks gently from sort of like side to side under the like expert navigation and crewmanship of the Tidebreaker.
But the.
To call it a serene environment would be a mistake.
You know that the slick and kind of flawless execution of this voyage is partially mostly down to the loud booming barked orders from Boson Grinner who stands above you on the like just below the. The captain's deck screaming orders to the. The crew to adjust sail and so like keep an eye out for any looming threats or dangers or points of notice as the five of you kind of scattered about ship kind of wait. Well, wait to arrive at your destinations.
At the end of last session we left off on a. We. We did a short rest and I can see that there are some things getting rolled up already.
So starting with. Let's start with Cooper.
[00:08:00] Speaker F: Hello.
[00:08:00] Speaker A: Hello.
What are your two short rests that you did? I like between last night at the bountiful parlay through till say now.
[00:08:12] Speaker F: So I repaired my armor.
[00:08:14] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:08:15] Speaker F: And I cleared my stress.
[00:08:17] Speaker A: Nice, nice, nice.
[00:08:19] Speaker F: Quite straightforward basically.
[00:08:21] Speaker A: Very good, very good. And then what about Abe? What did they do?
[00:08:28] Speaker D: Abe repaired his armor as he spent quite a lot of that not being crushed.
[00:08:38] Speaker A: Boohoo.
[00:08:41] Speaker D: And also prepared with Gardi.
[00:08:46] Speaker A: Prepared with Gardi. Okay, so you both got two hope if you both tick that up.
[00:08:50] Speaker D: Yes.
[00:08:50] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:08:51] Speaker E: Yes.
[00:08:52] Speaker A: Wonderful.
Next up is. Then let's switch over to Gardi. What a guardi do.
[00:08:58] Speaker E: Apart from prepare prepared with my boy Abe, I cleared some distress. And can I prepare twice? I can't even remember if that's loud.
[00:09:09] Speaker C: Amazing.
[00:09:10] Speaker E: And I prepared again with Cass. I'm so prepared. Feeling great.
Can I also do an additional thing before we leave, please?
Can I have cast Rift Walker
[00:09:25] Speaker A: indoorless all?
[00:09:27] Speaker E: Yes, please.
[00:09:28] Speaker A: Okay. Okay.
[00:09:31] Speaker E: I will attempt it.
[00:09:32] Speaker F: Now.
[00:09:33] Speaker A: This. This sounds like a new ability tip. What does this new ability?
[00:09:36] Speaker E: It sure is.
Well, let me tell you, Dan and also other people make a spell cast roll of 15 on a success, you place an arcane marking on the ground where you currently stand. The next time you successfully cast Rift Walker, a rift in space opens up, providing safe passage back to the exact spot where the marking was placed.
[00:10:00] Speaker D: That's very handy.
[00:10:03] Speaker A: Maybe what we need.
[00:10:05] Speaker E: So this.
[00:10:06] Speaker F: We love you gu.
[00:10:08] Speaker E: This like. Oh, the pirates blew everything up while you were gone. Again, none of that this time. I don't think.
[00:10:15] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:10:16] Speaker E: Unless I mess this up, in which case this is all been for nothing.
[00:10:20] Speaker A: Well, yes, we gotta. We gotta. Well, do we want to roll it now or is it more exciting to roll it when you want to go and use it?
[00:10:34] Speaker F: See, that doesn't feel bad because I feel like you would know if it.
[00:10:36] Speaker E: Yeah.
Instead of be like, let's get out of here. No, wait, I forgot.
[00:10:44] Speaker A: Okay, you're right.
I'm just being mean during your short rest. No, go for it. Go ahead and roll.
[00:10:51] Speaker E: Just gonna spend a hype on an experience.
[00:10:57] Speaker D: Spirit speaker. You give me a spirit speaker.
[00:10:59] Speaker E: I can take an ancient wisdom.
Ancient wisdom feels probably more fair.
[00:11:03] Speaker C: Let's do that.
[00:11:04] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:11:06] Speaker E: Oh.
Oh, that's been a horrible roll.
Never mind. Eh.
[00:11:14] Speaker A: Okay, so what was your Right.
[00:11:20] Speaker D: Right.
[00:11:21] Speaker F: Oh, oh.
[00:11:22] Speaker D: Is there anything that stops me from doing that again?
[00:11:26] Speaker A: Not necessarily. I mean, I've got to. Is. Is Abe going to do something? Is Abe interrupting?
I've got to do a fear thing.
[00:11:36] Speaker D: Seeing if I have something applicable.
I think I can maybe just do
[00:11:46] Speaker E: it as many times as I want until it works. I can't see any.
[00:11:49] Speaker A: You have.
Absolutely can. But like, because. Because you're rolled with fear. Like I get a fear, but also I get.
[00:11:56] Speaker E: Oh yeah.
[00:11:58] Speaker A: Just waiting.
[00:11:59] Speaker D: Yeah. I mean, I can get. I. You can. If I spend 2 hope. You can re roll either your hope or your fear dice. If you would like.
[00:12:09] Speaker E: I. That would be great.
[00:12:11] Speaker A: Yeah, that's fine.
[00:12:13] Speaker D: Or I just have to give you a compliment and then I can get my hope back. So.
[00:12:16] Speaker E: Thanks.
[00:12:17] Speaker D: You do it. Good.
Let's see.
[00:12:19] Speaker A: Would you like to re roll your hope roll of one?
[00:12:22] Speaker E: I. I think that probably is gonna be my choice. Yeah.
[00:12:26] Speaker A: Okay. Okay.
[00:12:32] Speaker D: I don't. I can't do it.
[00:12:34] Speaker E: It's not to be.
[00:12:36] Speaker B: Fate has decided.
[00:12:38] Speaker F: Absolutely not.
[00:12:39] Speaker D: Sorry.
[00:12:42] Speaker A: Okay, I will.
Wow.
[00:12:46] Speaker D: Wow, wow.
[00:12:49] Speaker A: Okay. I will say.
[00:12:55] Speaker E: And so Guardi fell through a dimensional ball.
[00:13:01] Speaker D: You're done. You're gone.
[00:13:03] Speaker B: Bye, guard.
[00:13:04] Speaker A: Okay. Unfortunately, that.
That will mean so g. You try to cast a spell. If in anything. In any.
By all reckonings, you try to cast it a number of times, but it always seems to.
Like the. The mana just seems to be.
You can't tell if the mana is being too erratic or it will suddenly disperse, or it will suddenly kind of empower the wrong parts of the spell. But functionally, the spell keeps on failing.
And I think Cassandra may well be the one to notice, thanks to your arcane knowledge. What your sort. Like your magical attunement that perhaps the.
Like the lingering magics around doll in the aftermath of Exo's attack, like the. The portal to. Even more destroyed. Like all of that mana is running erratically.
It's scuppering it. So I'm going to Kybosh rift walkers back to Dorlishal specifically until you get.
[00:14:20] Speaker B: Can I assist in any way. But I feel like the. The DM is.
[00:14:26] Speaker E: No, we've had enough.
[00:14:28] Speaker A: We've. We've had a double one on the hope die. I can't. I can't go any more savage than that.
[00:14:33] Speaker B: The gods have spoken.
[00:14:35] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:14:39] Speaker A: So, yes, certainly once you leave the sort of like, immediate fallout area of. I mean, because Dolasho was currently an absolute casserole of arcane and primal magic.
Yeah, no wonder. It's just going a bit. Going a bit nuts.
Yes, certainly. You can absolutely cast it again for somewhere else. But also. Yay, fear.
Okay, so that was Gardi's short rest. What was cast doing Cass?
[00:15:14] Speaker B: What did I do? That's a good question.
Cass tended to her wounds.
[00:15:20] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:15:21] Speaker B: And then she prepared with Guardi.
[00:15:23] Speaker A: Okay, cool, cool, cool. And you're back up to full. And lastly, Griffin.
What did our boy do?
[00:15:31] Speaker C: Griffin. He tended his wounds and he cleared some stress as well. Say I didn't roll my thingies, so I'm gonna roll them now.
There we go.
[00:15:45] Speaker A: Absolutely. Icing it.
[00:15:47] Speaker C: He needs it.
Yes.
[00:15:53] Speaker A: And then.
Okay, so last but not least, I do you ever get that thing where you play the beta playtest of a game and then you play the actual release, and then you're like, I think I remember a rule. And then you can't find the rule that you thought you remembered, and then you wonder, is that ever a rule?
[00:16:15] Speaker F: Just me.
[00:16:16] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:16:17] Speaker C: Never know.
[00:16:19] Speaker A: I'm pretty sure.
For my Troubles, I gain D4 fear.
[00:16:28] Speaker F: No, no.
[00:16:29] Speaker C: Made up.
[00:16:32] Speaker B: Don't remember that.
[00:16:35] Speaker D: I think you get minus D4 fear.
[00:16:37] Speaker C: Yeah, I think you just like, clear all your fear.
[00:16:41] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:16:41] Speaker C: And.
[00:16:41] Speaker A: Yeah, I just bottom out. Okay. Yeah.
[00:16:46] Speaker B: Against the dm. That's. Yeah.
[00:16:48] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. Yeah. Any fear tokens that you haven't spent, go to us.
[00:16:53] Speaker A: Of course. Of course.
Well, I'm gonna carry on looking for that until I.
Oh, no. Here it is.
Yay.
So as you sail across the. The rolling seas of Dorlishol, I gain two fear. Go up to six.
Very good, Very good. Perfectly balanced.
So with that in mind.
Yes. You've said your goodbyes to the last.
Well, to the. The survivors of Dorlishal.
You know that the council is.
Is there. So it's the.
My brain keeps trying to say Ella's mirror, Coraline. So Coraline is kind of. Has been returned by the hammer Drider that you've now found out is in fact Dawlish, after who the town is named, as well as Brynia, Your like Abe's daughter. And the other kind of expedition is of.
Of like the. The dollar shore expedition. So Montague and Matteo and so on and so forth.
Yes. We find the six of you on the tidebreaker say this a lot. Very large kind of galleon, as we like. As you're sailing in a north easterly.
An easterly northeasterly direction.
It is like your destination is always in sight. The. The mountain looms up into the skyline, like, reaches up into the.
Into the.
Into the sky.
And as the five of you kind of acknowledge the bustling of sort like
[00:18:52] Speaker E: the crew
[00:18:55] Speaker A: expertly kind of operating this ship, as you notice them kind of bustling around you, I think perhaps it's you, Cooper, that might feel a tad.
I don't know. Do you feel a tad uncomfortable? Maybe a tad uneasy?
Where are you on the ship, Cooper?
[00:19:18] Speaker F: At the moment, I think I'm stood in the middle with Griffin.
[00:19:22] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:19:23] Speaker F: I think. I think he. You know, yesterday was a lot.
Lots of different revelations, and he's still like, very occasionally checking the sigil on his hand.
Where is Kifran?
Is. Is he hanging out with them or is he.
[00:19:45] Speaker D: Yeah, where's that?
[00:19:46] Speaker F: Is he stalking about.
Where's that man?
Is he just watching me constantly?
That would be really unnerving.
[00:19:55] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:19:55] Speaker A: Kick Fran.
[00:19:57] Speaker F: I say watching, you know, I mean, he can't watch.
[00:19:59] Speaker E: Yeah, he's got no eyes
[00:20:03] Speaker A: beneath. In the shadow of the large, kind of dark green gray sails of the tidebreaker by the stairs down to the lower decks, kind of leaning against one of the arcane cannons that decorate the ship.
Kick Fran, like, is lent back kind of. So just kind of leaning on this. Leaning on this cannon.
The umbrella that you've seen him with, every time you've seen him just sort of, like, clasped. His hands are clasped at his waist. The. The handle. The curved handle of the umbrella in his hands as he uses. As he sort of uses it to kind of balance himself. And you notice him just sort of like swaying in.
In tandem with the. The rocking of the ship.
But, yeah, he looks quite.
Yeah, he looks quite at home, I guess. Like, he looks quite comfortable.
[00:21:17] Speaker F: Don't like that.
I think Cooper's the opposite.
[00:21:23] Speaker A: He doesn't.
[00:21:23] Speaker F: He's not really a. A seam man. He can. He can do it fine. But, yeah, I think with. With being on the sea with Kifran just in. I feel like since yesterday, Kiffran has always been around, like, in his peripheral vision a bit like.
Like, not like engaging with him necessarily, but I have this feeling like wherever he's. He is so many Kiffrans there.
[00:21:55] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:21:55] Speaker F: Cooper doesn't like that sinister shadow. Yeah.
[00:22:03] Speaker A: Yeah. In which case, I mean, Griffin, have you picked up on this? Is it. Is it clearly written on Cooper's face how he's feeling?
[00:22:14] Speaker C: I would say so, yeah.
[00:22:18] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:22:18] Speaker C: I would. I would say that Griffin is trying his hardest to sort of spark up some sort of conversation, to sort of try and get Cooper to sort of engage, but is probably failing at it.
[00:22:33] Speaker A: Sure.
I mean, in which case, as you like, as you're trying to spark up this conversation just over the sound of the crashing waves, of the kind of the billowing of the. The sails overhead.
Cooper, you hear?
You seem on edge.
Cooper.
[00:22:59] Speaker F: Oh, hi.
No, I'm fine. I don't know what you're talking about. You know, just, you know, nothing. Like lots of very dangerous and worrying things all happening all at once, you know, no problem. No problems at all. I don't.
[00:23:17] Speaker D: I.
[00:23:17] Speaker F: You know, it's all fine
[00:23:21] Speaker A: kick framing. Like. Yeah, he's his. Like, he's got his gray hood up the.
Like the wrappings around his neck like the scarf. You can see that kind of flapping gently in The. In the breeze, but like the large amount of kind of bandages. Well, not bandages like the large blindfold that he's got on. It's like fabrics over the top half of his face.
You see them shift in a way that implies that he's like raising an eyebrow beneath his head.
[00:23:56] Speaker D: Does he have Spider man eye movements?
[00:24:02] Speaker A: Quite possibly. Quite possibly.
But yeah. You notice that he. Yeah, he seems to be raising an eyebrow at you.
I would have thought you would have been at ease with this journey. You've taken it a fair few times over the past few days.
[00:24:24] Speaker F: Not so much the journey, more the destination and onwards.
Yeah, I don't know.
I guess we'll just have to find out for ourselves how things go.
[00:24:42] Speaker A: He.
Like, he smiles and I think it's like. It's a universal commas. Like face directly towards you.
Genuine, like, big smile and it's a. Yeah, it's a bit. It's a bit unnerving.
I have. Have every faith in you, Cooper, you and your companions.
[00:25:12] Speaker F: It's not me I'm worried about.
Guess we'll see. We'll see.
If you guys don't mind, I'm just gonna.
He's about to say get some air. And then realizes exactly what he's about to say.
It's like, I. I'm just going for a walk and I think you move off.
Probably pat Griffin on the shoulder as he does so, like, thanks. I just need some space.
[00:25:47] Speaker C: Griffin will sort of just like pat him as well and watch him go.
I'm guessing. Are me and Kickfram alone together?
[00:26:00] Speaker A: Yeah.
Kickfran isn't moving.
[00:26:05] Speaker D: It's not running away yet.
[00:26:09] Speaker F: New you. You.
[00:26:12] Speaker C: Have you a fan of music,
[00:26:18] Speaker A: Fran?
Kickfront turns his head to you.
And.
There was a period in my life when my world was painfully bereft of cheerful soul.
So, yes, I consider myself somewhat of a fan.
[00:26:49] Speaker C: That's always good to hear.
I. I bet I've got something that you would like, Dan.
[00:26:59] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:27:00] Speaker C: With.
With Ace of our High Houses.
[00:27:03] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:27:04] Speaker C: Would. Would they have, like, anthems?
[00:27:10] Speaker A: Only if you can sing it.
You serenade us with it.
They would.
So once upon a time, pre war, we know that the Ace ofari High Houses, who are fundamentally like the. The rulers of the scattered kind of a safari people.
Maxi. Scattered as in like the various civilizations of a safari.
But arguably the High houses would nearly almost be in a position of power of like whatever country or civilization they
[00:27:54] Speaker C: were a part of.
[00:27:55] Speaker A: And like those countries would have then had anthems. So I guess. Yeah. What? Whilst it might Be that like.
Oh, yeah, this.
Yeah. I think. I think they'd be considered one and the same. Like, the national anthem is almost the High House's.
[00:28:13] Speaker C: Okay.
I would like to argue then with Griffin's community background that he would probably know the anthem and just his general history. He would know the anthem where House Antelia came from.
[00:28:32] Speaker A: Huh.
[00:28:33] Speaker C: And he would like to perform their anthem them for him.
[00:28:36] Speaker A: Curious. Okay, I see.
Very good.
Yeah.
[00:28:43] Speaker C: Do you want me to do a performance or would I just do it?
[00:28:48] Speaker D: See how good it is if you remember all the words.
Rubble through.
[00:28:56] Speaker A: It's been a while.
[00:29:01] Speaker C: I could do a performance if I can do a presence.
[00:29:05] Speaker A: I mean, I guess in the way that, like, we all know, regardless of how bad it is, if someone's built in out, like the British national anthem.
Okay, so you are playing like the anthem of Elysia.
[00:29:23] Speaker C: Yeah, I guess. The anthem of Elisa.
[00:29:25] Speaker A: Of the Glimmer Peaks.
[00:29:27] Speaker D: Yes.
[00:29:28] Speaker A: Okay.
As you start playing it, like, kick friend turns his head away and like, you see his head drop as if he's sort of like preparing to enjoy whatever it is you're about to play as much as he can enjoy it with you playing it on like, your little whiny concertina.
But then there's like. You watch this roller coaster of emotions, like, flash across his face as he goes from sort of like, like awaiting to slight confusion to then like he turns his head towards you slightly too quickly and like his mouth falls open. And I think this might well be the first time that you've seen seemingly seen Kick Fran taken off guard.
Like he's on his. He's. He's on his back foot for a moment.
And then like, do you noticing this? Do you carry on playing it through?
[00:30:43] Speaker C: Carry on.
[00:30:43] Speaker A: Okay.
He is silent throughout the performance.
And when you finish, he like it. Look, it feels like he's staring directly at you.
Like there's an intensity in his stomps.
And then he says, that was.
That was a beautiful melody you played there, Griffin.
What was it?
[00:31:34] Speaker C: I think you know.
[00:31:38] Speaker A: You have to excuse me. I have been.
You'll have to excuse my ignorance.
I cannot claim any ownership of knowledge to.
To that.
But beautiful it was.
[00:32:06] Speaker C: I thought considering that
[00:32:10] Speaker E: the.
[00:32:11] Speaker C: The sigil that you put on my friend, you would consider it beautiful.
[00:32:22] Speaker A: Kick from.
Kick, kick from miles.
[00:32:29] Speaker D: Who that?
[00:32:30] Speaker A: Who that?
I am the voice of. Okay, now we're good.
[00:32:38] Speaker B: So.
[00:32:38] Speaker A: Yeah, Kig Friend.
Who. Wait, who is that?
[00:32:42] Speaker E: It might be Livy's.
[00:32:43] Speaker D: I think it is mine.
[00:32:45] Speaker A: Okay. Livy, what you doing?
[00:32:47] Speaker D: I'm gonna hold my.
In for the entirety because.
[00:32:51] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:32:51] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:32:52] Speaker C: Oh, no, no. You might be. All right.
[00:32:55] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. Right.
Kick fan.
Kick fan stops like he.
So, as you say, given the sigil you put my friend, the intense kind of look remains.
And then.
Hang on. We can. We can fix this.
So remind me later if I've muted Livy, yeah? Kick Fran holds that look, and then he takes a few steps forward.
And what then do you know of House Antalya?
[00:33:55] Speaker C: Griffin will be just sort of slightly shaking a bit, but he's gonna try his hardest to stand firm.
I don't know a lot about House Antalya.
I don't know who your patron is, but I do know that you'll have some relationship to House Stone. Thro.
Am I correct?
[00:34:35] Speaker A: You watch very curiously Kick Fran. Like he is, like, right up to you. Like he is uncomfortably in your personal space.
And he's done it in such a way that he's sort of, like, taken.
He's got right close up to you and then planted the umbrella, like, on the deck between you. And he adopts this stance. And you watch them as he visually turns his head, as if he's looking around to see if anyone is listening.
And then he returns his gaze to you.
My patron is one of great power.
Through an understanding that power begets power.
Long has it been since House Antelia of the city of Elysia.
Long has it been that we have reveled in the strength of political power.
But my patron finds it highly intoxicating.
The citizens of Alicia survived intense hardship, but none more than House Antelia.
So my. My thoughts on the actions of my patron are mine alone.
And I instead bow to her wisdom.
He pauses for a few moments. And then.
You know, I thought I recognized your voice when first me met.
It was but an inkling in the bountiful parley those days ago.
But perhaps you and I are not as much strangers as you would hope.
But perhaps we can be much more than strangers going forward.
Isn't that right, Tobias?
[00:37:57] Speaker C: Griffin will swallow hard and go.
Yeah, I. I guessed you knew.
[00:38:15] Speaker F: So.
[00:38:16] Speaker C: I want to make a deal with you.
[00:38:23] Speaker A: Go on.
[00:38:27] Speaker C: Remove the sigil from my friend's hand.
You can bind that deal to me.
And if you need more compensation than that, you.
Once. Once we've done this.
Once we've done this cave mountain thing,
[00:38:57] Speaker A: and
[00:39:00] Speaker C: we've done what we've needed to do with Exo. You can return me back to Lord Sorrow. And.
[00:39:14] Speaker A: You do understand the gravity of the consequences of doing so, Yes?
[00:39:27] Speaker C: I wouldn't be Making this deal so lightly.
[00:39:34] Speaker A: And. Kick Fran smiles.
And holds his hand out.
[00:39:47] Speaker C: The binding, it goes off, my friend.
It goes off.
[00:39:51] Speaker A: Cooper, you have my word.
[00:39:56] Speaker C: He'll shake his hand.
[00:40:00] Speaker A: And Griffin, you watch as. As your hands wrap around one another in a handshake, a red glow, a red ring forms around them. It rotates slightly and you see the sigil of House Antelia appear above your hands. And you feel a slight, like, searing burn in the palm of your hand.
You are.
It is done.
You are now under my protection whilst we see to matters here on the isles.
This may feel you may, in the hours to come. You may regret this, but know this, Lord Sorrow and my patron, they seek only the best for people like you and I.
People who were born into a world that could do so much better.
People with the power to make it so.
[00:41:28] Speaker C: Griffin won't reply to that.
[00:41:33] Speaker A: And as Kick Fran lets go of your hand.
You look at your palm like, as you kind of like, go to rub your palm while it stings.
You see that on your palm, the flesh looks like it's. Like it's reddened, like it's slightly burned.
And like, as you turn. As you kind of turn your hand and study it for a moment as Kickfram walks off, you can't help but get the feeling that the burn is in the shape of a raven.
Absolute bastard.
[00:42:15] Speaker C: Griffin will check this.
[00:42:18] Speaker D: Does the.
[00:42:19] Speaker C: Does the sigil. Does it sort of hover above the hand? Or is it, like, imprinted on the hand?
[00:42:24] Speaker A: So the sigil sort of like, appeared above your hands, like, as part of the. The. The runic binding, and then it. It's disappeared as well.
[00:42:32] Speaker D: Okay,
[00:42:35] Speaker C: in that case, Griffin will just pull up his gloves and just cover up what's there.
[00:42:43] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:42:43] Speaker C: And he'll. He'll be just shaking and tapping his foot, just sort of just trying to think of anything else.
[00:42:54] Speaker A: Okay.
In which case, what's what? Guardian.
What's Guardian Cass doing?
[00:43:05] Speaker B: I think Cass did want a word with Gardy.
[00:43:10] Speaker E: Go for it.
[00:43:12] Speaker A: Let me.
[00:43:13] Speaker E: I'll just quickly pop out my.
My sweet little binky while we're here.
[00:43:23] Speaker B: Get him out.
[00:43:23] Speaker E: Come on, lads.
[00:43:24] Speaker F: Get your binky out.
[00:43:25] Speaker A: Get your binky out.
Okay, I will. I will fish out your binky for you.
[00:43:35] Speaker E: Thank you very much.
[00:43:38] Speaker B: There's no better place for it.
[00:43:43] Speaker E: So you probably just.
You just find me, like, sitting on the deck with binky on my lap and just talking to him, like.
And I swear. And you know what I was doing with this new spell, but I just.
I don't know Maybe I'm wasting my time.
I think I've lost my touch.
[00:44:04] Speaker A: Binky is sat on the anchor. On the anchor winch. Like, you know, the big kind of busy turny wheel in the center of the ship. Yeah. So Binky sat on it and like every so often just out lets out little.
[00:44:22] Speaker E: Well, yeah, I should believe in myself more.
[00:44:26] Speaker B: So just what to say, Binky.
[00:44:31] Speaker A: Binky. Plushie merch. That's what
[00:44:36] Speaker B: I think. Cast kind of comes down and she said she sits next to you and I. I don't know how much they've spoken since they literally spoke to God.
[00:44:47] Speaker A: I'm just gonna pause one sec real quick.
For those of you in foundry, do not worry. I'm fixing something, but keep on talking.
[00:44:58] Speaker B: So I have a cat next to me trying to eat my headphones.
[00:45:01] Speaker E: I don't think we've had much time to
[00:45:05] Speaker A: whirlwind.
[00:45:06] Speaker B: Yeah. And we were busy recovering for most of it, so.
[00:45:10] Speaker F: Yeah.
[00:45:10] Speaker B: I feel like this is kind of the first time we cass and Gaddy apart from trying to cast a spell and then failing to cast a spell.
They've properly spoken. So she kind of sits down next to you and she's quiet for a few moments and then she says, I did thank you for coming here.
I did. I did thank you.
[00:45:41] Speaker E: Well, if you didn't, you are now, so.
No, I mean, I. I came here for myself.
I wanted to come with you. You know, I should thank you as well. I wouldn't have got this far without you.
[00:46:00] Speaker B: Oh.
I just feel sort of been treating everyone here like a.
Parts of a science experiment, I suppose. You know, you were a means to an end. And it was a bit mean now.
[00:46:25] Speaker E: Well, I mean, it
[00:46:28] Speaker F: wasn't like you
[00:46:29] Speaker E: didn't have your reasons.
Don't think this has really turned out how either of us wanted it to.
[00:46:38] Speaker B: No, I.
I wanted to ask.
Did you get to ask her what you wanted? Did you find out what you wanted to know?
[00:46:53] Speaker E: Not yet. But I feel like I.
What I want might need their power. And I feel like she has so little at the moment.
One step at a time.
[00:47:10] Speaker B: Right.
Well, I found out what I needed to find out. So as soon as we can, we'll get you back in front of her and we will make her do what she has to do for you.
[00:47:28] Speaker E: Well, we'll ask nicely at least.
It's.
[00:47:38] Speaker A: As an aside. The world is back up. If you want to lock back in.
[00:47:41] Speaker C: The world is back up. Nice.
[00:47:44] Speaker F: Oh,
[00:47:47] Speaker E: hold on.
[00:47:47] Speaker A: I'm just looking back in.
[00:47:49] Speaker B: The world reasserts itself. Around them.
You ever feel like you just glitched out of time and space?
[00:47:57] Speaker A: Carlos rebooted the matrix.
[00:48:07] Speaker E: Are you
[00:48:09] Speaker B: want to not eat my headphones?
[00:48:11] Speaker D: Sorry.
So I thought you're talking to Guardian.
[00:48:20] Speaker A: That's binky.
[00:48:24] Speaker D: So the end of alimony. Just hang.
[00:48:31] Speaker E: I am so sorry, ca.
[00:48:36] Speaker B: I think I knew something had happened. I think I just.
Well, it's done now.
And it means that you can't let anything happen to you.
[00:48:55] Speaker E: I'll give it a try. I don't know how much choice I've necessarily got, but.
Well, you know, obviously, we.
We can't replace anything that you've lost. But we're all here for you, Wally.
Up to the end.
Whatever it may be.
[00:49:15] Speaker B: Yes.
Whatever happens next, we'll do it together.
[00:49:22] Speaker E: Hey.
[00:49:27] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:49:33] Speaker D: What?
[00:49:33] Speaker A: Is Abe doing anything? Or is Abe just enjoying the peace and quiet?
[00:49:38] Speaker D: Am I back on?
[00:49:39] Speaker A: Yeah,
[00:49:43] Speaker D: Yeah, I think he's just enjoying.
You know, I think he's noticing obviously we've gone through a lot, but I think he's.
Facially, he softened quite a lot in the last few days. More haggard. And he looks more contented.
So just having a smoke. He's just like, oh, you know, had a good time, met my daughter, brought her back.
He's just like, brilliant.
[00:50:19] Speaker E: I feel like everyone else is looking way more haggard.
[00:50:24] Speaker D: He's just like, brilliant. This is great.
[00:50:30] Speaker B: Got crushed by a God.
[00:50:33] Speaker C: Enough to relieve the stress of anyone.
[00:50:36] Speaker D: And not even not a scratch on him.
[00:50:40] Speaker B: His spine has never felt so aligned.
[00:50:45] Speaker D: Thousands in chiropractory threes. He was just absolutely loving his life.
No, I think he's just kind of contemplating. I think he hasn't spent a lot of time with people in many years, and he spent more time with people than he'd ever want or need in the last 17.
[00:51:11] Speaker A: Time decompress whereabouts on the. On the ship. Are you sort of like you near the. The front, like, prow the ship? Are you back near Ellas mirror and
[00:51:25] Speaker D: near Ellis mirror?
[00:51:26] Speaker A: No boss on Grinner.
[00:51:29] Speaker D: Yeah, I hung out with boss.
[00:51:31] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:51:32] Speaker D: I feel like we're like, what do you need to know?
[00:51:35] Speaker E: There's precise location information for Dan.
[00:51:38] Speaker A: Well, like, boss.
[00:51:41] Speaker D: We're gonna kiss like boss.
[00:51:46] Speaker A: I call him boss. Boson. Boson Grinner walks up the stairs because you cut a huge silhouette on the deck of the ship.
I don't know what you took you.
I think, in fact, you like. There are no keepers in the crew of the Tiebringer Tiebreaker. So you are. Yeah, you are a very distinct silhouette amongst all the others.
But, yeah, as Both as the boson approaches you, Grinner kind of stands alongside you and like it's. It's weird for Boson Grinner to be dwarfed by someone else given how large he is.
But he.
He says you.
You know these waters well, don't you?
[00:52:37] Speaker D: Oh yeah.
Well I. Not really this way. I don't go toward mountain. I go up, I go down there and you see over there and then I get down over there and I get off and then I always go over the same place and I always. So I just said, you know, I just see what.
[00:53:03] Speaker A: But GR. Sort of like nods sagely.
[00:53:08] Speaker D: I just round a corner and up and over and under the jewels.
[00:53:12] Speaker A: Well it's fair to say that we've all.
We've all sailed these waters for a significant part of our lives.
[00:53:23] Speaker D: What I don't really sell just more row.
I'm not used to these flappy.
[00:53:36] Speaker A: The Pirate Queen doesn't want it to
[00:53:40] Speaker C: be
[00:53:43] Speaker A: pub like easily available public knowledge.
But we have been chasing a number of ships that have arrived at the island.
They bear no insignia that we have ever seen. They strike. The descriptions from our scouts strike us as being small scouting vessels but as I say flying flying colors we have never, never seen before.
[00:54:20] Speaker D: Oh, that all sound good.
[00:54:23] Speaker A: We, we this journey is partially to see if we can find any more.
Find out any more about these foreign ships.
But I get the question that we would have to answer if we did find them is where these ships come from.
You know these waters.
Keep an eye out.
They are.
They are vessels that said to gleam in the sunlight like diamonds.
And like Grinner sort of like nods like as he reaches up, claps you on the back and as he peers up to the mountain.
I've always hated this place. He says. He turns and leaves and before he makes it to the steps of the like steps down to the main deck you hear a like a high pitched like flute like whistle from the crow's nest overhead.
And you both you and Grinner sort of like your attentions are snatched up to look at it. As you see the crewmate in the crow's nest sort of like blowing on this high pitched whistle. You know that it's high pitched that everyone on the ship can hear it. But it won't carry for distances. It is for all intents and purposes as a ship alarm.
And as Grinner looks up Abe from your position like the. The sails are billowed out enough that you can also see Ella's mirror towards the rear of the ship and she's looking up towards the. The crow's nest as well.
And you hear the crow.
You hear the crow yellow.
There's a fog. There's a fog ahead, a thick fog.
And as you turn to look like you can see a fog kind of rolling out from the coast out to sea. But it, but abe it to your eye. It doesn't.
It looks too thick. It looks like it starts and it starts too quickly as this blanket just kind of almost like smoke rolls out across the water.
And you hear Grinner sort of like yelling out to the crew to like slacken the sails, to kind of slow down a little bit to maintain like situational awareness.
And like you feel the ship kind of rock to the right slightly as you peel away from the coastline to kind of get out into slightly deeper water so you don't hit any kind of hidden rocks.
But as you, as you go, like as you start to kind of roll into this fog and the fog starts to thicken around you, you hear the pipe whistle out again.
There's a ship. There's a ship. You hear bellowed out towards the crew.
And Abe from where you're stood, sort of like in a slightly elevated position near the front of the ship. As you turn to look through the fog, like the fog is like compounding thicker and thicker the further it goes out. But you notice a telltale silhouette etched in the fog, getting more and more distinct by the moment.
And as the ship, as the tiebreaker begins to turn much more sharply to the right, you hear Abe the sound. It sounds like a low rushing wind that gets louder and louder and more high pitched until you hear and a huge geyser of water bursts up alongside the ship. And you note as you notice a blister shot shot having just narrowly missed the deck of the tiebreaker and the cries of panic as the water splashes up from this near miss onto the crew.
Grinna turns around and bellows, battle stations. Battle stations.
He yells, yells to the crew.
And so as the crew start to sort of like surge around the. The five of you, you hear another kind of low rumbling to a whistling sound as another blister shot splashes off the.
Off the. Just off the prowl, like just off the deck on the other side of the ship, you hear more sort of like cries of surprises.
The water splashes up the. The ship just bursts into a hive of frenetic activity with the five of you plus kick Fran just kind of at the center of it all.
As the ship like you hear the sounds of Ellesmere spinning the wheel hard and the boat lurches to one side. It kind of tips and a few things slide across the deck as she pulls the ship hard to the right in order to bring sort of like batteries to bear on. Sorry. She spins it left. Sorry. Towards the island to bring the batteries to bear on this approaching ship.
And Ellesmeera, like, you can hear her shouting from the back of the ship. And then her commands are forwarded on by.
By her boatswain as she bellows out.
Someone get me eyes. Man the sails. Load the cannons on my mark. She shouts. As you see the crew rushing around in this moment, you cannot see the distinct. You can see the silhouette of the enemy ship. But you for all extensive purposes, are crewmates in this moment.
So we will switch to a pseudo.
Pseudo combat type thing.
Elismira has a list of duties that she would like to be performed for this battle. And you can help in any way shape you see fit. So with that in mind.
Yeah.
[01:01:25] Speaker C: Who.
[01:01:26] Speaker A: Who wants to help out as this ship sort of like lurches hard to the left.
[01:01:33] Speaker D: Yeah. I mean, what's.
If Abe's looking around, I can help.
[01:01:39] Speaker F: The cannons what keep us good at aiming.
[01:01:42] Speaker D: Yeah. Is there sales? Can I use shrinks to try and ourselves?
[01:01:48] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely. So.
So Ellas mirror needs situational awareness because of the fog. It's limiting her vision. So she need help seeing where she's got navigate the ship.
She needs people on hand to very quickly kind of adjust the sails, like speed direction to make sure that she can kind of maneuver and evade as best she can.
She'll need support on readying and firing the arcane cannons. You know that there are cannons on the deck on the top deck where you are now. They're also cannons below deck.
And you can hear like a flurry of activity as crew just sort of like fall out of hammocks beneath your feet and start rushing around in the. In the belly of this ship.
Yeah, Abe, if you want to help out with the.
With the sales, you absolutely can.
In which case, yeah, she like, she yells out to drop. To drop some of the sails. So, yeah, by all means, go ahead and roll me a strength check as you can. Got to kind of wrestle the mast. The mast ropes to adjust this thing.
I'll do a combat tracker just so you guys can put your hands up to say you want to go next.
[01:03:11] Speaker D: Puppies
[01:03:16] Speaker A: kick. Fran is in play, but he's also blind. So how not 100 useful we might
[01:03:24] Speaker D: be for a blind man. He looks around a lot.
[01:03:27] Speaker A: He does look around a Lot suspicious kick friends in play. The five of you should be able to double click on him and see his abilities just in case they can help you out in any way, shape or form.
The same goes for the boson and for Ellis Mirror if any of you happen to be up her neck of the woods towards the back of the ship.
So with that in mind, a nine with hope.
So as you you go to kind of grab the ropes.
The there's another kind of barrage of the blister that splashes nearby that rocks the ship. And a, you see like one of the lines come loose and start whizzing out and you rush over and you manage to grab it and sort of hold it tight. The mast still kind of billows out of out of shape, but you at least you've got it. And like there's a bit of a. Well, there's some pretty intense rope burners. The rope kind of goes through your hands before you manage to pull it tight.
So that's a fail with hope. So you do get your hope. However, I will count up.
So let's make this clock visible.
Let's make that one visible as well.
Okay, so a, a A mysteriously named clock has just ticked up.
[01:05:11] Speaker D: What a mysterious name.
[01:05:12] Speaker A: What a very. What a very, very mysterious name.
So with that in mind, Aba you managed to grab this sail as the ship kind of rocks as this kind of third blister shot like scrapes down the side of the the hull like it's a glancing yip. It's enough to sort of like shunt the ship across.
Who wants to help out next?
[01:05:35] Speaker E: I can help out with me peepers.
[01:05:37] Speaker A: Yeah, go on. Go for it.
[01:05:38] Speaker E: I've got good peepers. Can I.
I'll go. I'll go eagle mode.
I'll go big eagle mode and see if I can.
[01:05:46] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:05:47] Speaker E: See the bobbers.
[01:05:49] Speaker A: Sorry. Just before you do, I've just had a look. Boson Grimmer has an ability because right now are you. You're still probably quite near Boson Grinner, aren't you Abe?
[01:06:00] Speaker D: Yeah, we're joined at the hip Best buds.
[01:06:03] Speaker A: In which case there is a certain grim demeanor that emanates from Bose and Grinner for a stress if you roll with. So if you roll with fear or fail a roll, you can spend a stress to re roll.
Okay, so you're spending a stress. Okay, so you can re roll that.
That nine with hope.
Okay. 15 with fear.
So you.
So that is a success. So you do manage to grab like you feel the rope running through your hands and you manage to grab it, pull it tight as like Grinner looks over to you, gives you the eye.
And then there's a like a very stern nod as you manage to get the rope under control.
I will gain a fear and then we'll tick the tiebreaker up one segment instead of the other ship. So.
Okay, so Abe. Yeah. You're holding onto this rope and the. The ship's kind of staying on course. The. Like you pulling the rope has meant that that shot is not glanced. It's just splashed into the water.
Guardi, you're going bird mode.
[01:07:34] Speaker E: Yes, please.
[01:07:35] Speaker A: Okay, bird me up.
Bird you up.
The case may be. Oh, you're a huge bird. Nice.
[01:07:48] Speaker E: So, yeah, I'll just.
[01:07:52] Speaker A: So you are flying up to the crow's nest.
[01:07:56] Speaker E: I'll just. I'll circle overhead and see what I can see.
[01:08:00] Speaker A: Okay. Okay.
So I'll put you like middle of the map right about. Right about here.
So as you kind of hover around the ship, you can see that like it's from a literal bird's eye view. You can see the shape of this fog. And you notice that the fog is almost.
Well, it's almost perfectly circular, like cylindrical, if you will.
And it seems to be approaching you at the same speed as the shadowy silhouetted ship in the center of it.
From Romy, like, what trick do you want to roll while you're up here?
[01:08:53] Speaker E: I guess is an insight to perceive its course and how like.
[01:09:00] Speaker A: Yeah, we've got.
Yeah, absolutely sweet.
[01:09:14] Speaker E: That's not very good.
[01:09:19] Speaker A: 11 with fear. Okay, so it's.
It's difficult to quite like the. The shifting of the. The fog, it almost sort like swirls around slightly.
It's almost like it's scattering the location of the ship kind of all over the place. And it's hard to g. Like you lose sight of the ship for a moment and you're trying to gauge off the. Off the direction of the fog cloud. But that in itself is because it's this amorphous mass is. Yeah. You're unable to quite figure out where it's. Where it is that you're supposed to like, you're not sure which commands to kind of shout back down to Elasmira to kind of guide her in which direction to go next.
So that will be a tick up for the. I can have it other ship and I'll.
And now I'll.
Yes. And then I gain a fear.
I will.
Okay. Guardi, as you also. So it's come to me. So you Garda, you watch as from this Fog, like a large.
Like, there's a green glow that emanates. And then you watch this large kind of flaming green, flaming orb launches out of the. The fog cloud and arcs down towards the tiebreaker.
And where about else does it land?
So g. The. The sail that you're sort of like, hovering over, like the. The main central sail. You watch as this flaming blister shot, like trebuchet shot, arcs down and smashes through one of the sides of the mast, like, punches a hole clean through the.
Through the sail.
And you watch as the. The sail begins to burn with this green fire very reminiscent of the flames of Dorlashal that you're reminded of that moment. And the.
The ordinance kind of lands on the deck. And you hear this cries of pain. Griffin, as the crew alongside you are dashed by this falling ordinance. And a good half dozen are just slain by the kind of a crashing trajectory of this shot.
Who wants Griffin's next?
[01:12:12] Speaker C: Yeah, I will be doing. So you're saying that sort of like a master's been hit and is almost
[01:12:20] Speaker A: so the mast above your head? Yeah, so it's. It's actually. It's got, like, a smaller sail on top, a bigger sail on the bottom, so it's got four, like, arms, if you will, and the bottom right arm, so pretty much above your head, that's been snapped into by this, like, trebuchet shot that's landed. And then this burning hulk landing on the deck has just squished six crewmates.
[01:12:46] Speaker C: Okay, in that case, I would like to use Mystic Tether to try and stop that split.
That split mask thing to sort of stay in place.
[01:12:59] Speaker A: Okay. Okay, that sounds good.
[01:13:03] Speaker C: And while I'm also playing as well, I would also like to use that as my rally dice to give that to everyone, because I think needs it.
[01:13:13] Speaker A: Yes. Okay. Okay.
[01:13:22] Speaker C: Where are you? I've lost you again. There you are.
And I've got no hope, so I can't do anything else on that. It's just going to have to.
[01:13:36] Speaker A: Looks good. 23 with hope. So you gain a hope.
And yes, as you like as say, the. The sail has had a. This, like, flaming hole punch through it. It smashed through the timber.
But as the timber sort of like goes to fall and you realize that's going to crash down on the deck, and it's kind of slowed somewhat by the. The fabric of the sail.
Yeah. What did Yourstic tether look like?
[01:14:07] Speaker C: It looks like it's sort of like a bright red sort of rope that sort of shoots out of his Constantina Okay.
[01:14:14] Speaker A: So in which case as it whips out, it wraps around the splintered wood and as it tightens, you watch as this lot, this kind of meters long wooden mast is slowly poured back into place bound by this sort like magical twining. Almost Cool. We will. So I will reduce.
So the. The other ship got a segment on the clock for getting a direct hit, but I will reduce that as you've effectively apart from the. The. The jam stains to your right, at least the. The ships in slightly better. Better shape.
Okay, what's.
Who. Who wants to jump in next?
What's. What's Castle Cooper thinking?
[01:15:10] Speaker F: Just trying to decide what the most useful thing is for me to do because I'm not really a strengthy boy. I was gonna say cannons, but that's a lot of like. Unless like I can work with someone else to maneuver the cannons so we can.
[01:15:21] Speaker B: I was gonna say sure. Because all of my magic is attacky based.
[01:15:25] Speaker F: Yeah, yeah. And I can fire off things, but they're not here. So.
[01:15:29] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:15:30] Speaker F: Cannon.
[01:15:31] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:15:32] Speaker B: Can we team up on a cannon?
[01:15:33] Speaker A: Let's do it. Absolutely. So I will jump.
I've. I've like looking back at the ghee. Looking back at the clocks.
Griffin, as you managed to sort of like steady the ship because you've like succeeded. Receded with hope.
The like you can see the crew are preparing to fire the cannon. So the fire clock has like fire clock as opposed to. Oh no, fire is.
It's ticked up one sec, two segments. Because you succeeded with hope.
Yes. You, Cass and Cooper, you can see that the crew are manning the well preparing these two architects arcane cannons just in front of you.
Or if you want to go below deck, you know that there are crew kind of preparing those cannons instead
[01:16:25] Speaker F: we've got the ones that are right next to us. Will make sense.
[01:16:27] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:16:28] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:16:28] Speaker B: We could just run at them. We just meet eyes across the deck.
[01:16:32] Speaker F: Yeah.
[01:16:32] Speaker B: Ready to throw cannons.
[01:16:33] Speaker F: Let's go.
[01:16:34] Speaker A: Okay.
So are you jump. Both jumping on the same cannon?
[01:16:38] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:16:39] Speaker F: Yes.
[01:16:39] Speaker B: Probably makes sense.
[01:16:41] Speaker A: So as you flank either side of this cannon, Cass, it look like as you stare upon this large kind of metal barreled cannon, it strikes you that this is like there's a. There's a moment I guess for both of you. Like have either of you ever actually fired an arcane cannon before?
[01:17:02] Speaker B: Absolutely not.
[01:17:03] Speaker A: But Cass, you then acknowledge, and I suppose Cooper, you would acknowledge as well, given that that alimony belonged to you once, that this thing in front of you is the same as alimony, just 30 times larger.
And so Perhaps cash. Well, with this in mind, knowing that it is a fundamentally the same sort of thing that you've got as a pistol.
[01:17:29] Speaker D: What.
[01:17:29] Speaker A: What's. What's going through? What initial reaction? What might emotions going through your mind, Cass, as you marvel on the destructive power of this thing?
[01:17:38] Speaker B: I think at first it's like, oh, oh, crap. I. You know, there is nothing I could do with my magic in this situation, which is unusual for her recently. But then she's realized, oh, wait, I have lived most of my life in these kind of situations without any kind of magic.
And then sort of that teaming up with kids. Super. Which is what, something she used to do so much back in the day, coupled with realizing that, oh, no, this. This isn't a piece of equipment that I don't know anything about. I. I use alimony all the time. I've headshot so many things recently.
It's like her confidence returns tenfold. She's like, oh, no, this is fine. I can do this. This is great.
[01:18:21] Speaker D: I just.
[01:18:21] Speaker B: I just don't have the strength. It's fine. I can do it.
[01:18:24] Speaker A: Okay.
So in which case, as you kind of feel that, I guess, almost excitement. Coop, how are you feeling staring at this, kind of knowing that the mana crystal inside this thing must, by definition be also about 30 times larger than the very volatile mana crystal that's in alimony.
[01:18:44] Speaker F: Probably not as confident as Casper is. But at the same time, there is that kind of sense of, like, nostalgia because it feels like a team thing, that they've not really done anything like this during the adventure before. Most of the time, it's been Cass has been like, head ho in one direction, and Cooper has followed semi reluctantly because they're doing the same thing. But now they're like. Their missions seem intertwined, and, like, after the recent events, it feels even more, like, relevant to what's happening. So he. He looks at this, looks at this cannon. He's just like. Feels like old times, right? Okay, I think we put it in that hole. Right. I put the thing in the hole.
Are you gonna help me aim it?
[01:19:33] Speaker D: What old time is he talking about?
[01:19:37] Speaker A: So this is. So are you. For all extensive purposes, are you going to be aiming this cannon?
Aiming and firing this cannon.
[01:19:45] Speaker F: Okay.
[01:19:47] Speaker A: Who would like to. So do you want to do it as a tag team, or do you want to do it as a. What? Someone does it with help.
[01:19:55] Speaker B: I think I have one hope left, so I don't think we can.
Yeah.
[01:20:04] Speaker A: In which case, who's.
Yeah. Who's taking the lead?
[01:20:10] Speaker B: I'VE got zero strength. Watch yourself.
[01:20:12] Speaker F: I have plus one.
[01:20:13] Speaker B: Cool. You can do it and I can age you.
[01:20:17] Speaker A: Cool. Okay, well, so I guess if you're looking. So I guess there's a question of who's aiming who's what. If you're aiming it, I guess it's more fed.
Nah,
[01:20:38] Speaker B: I suppose if you want to like, hold the back end.
[01:20:41] Speaker F: I mean, I have excellent aim as an experience I can add. And my finesse is quite high. So if we're using aiming.
[01:20:48] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:20:49] Speaker A: I like to imagine that the two of you are having this discussion either side of the cannonball. Everything's aiming on around you.
[01:20:56] Speaker F: My God, guys, you're so divorced.
[01:21:01] Speaker D: Like, I don't.
[01:21:01] Speaker A: And then like grinna who's on the deck above you, she's like, just fire the thing.
[01:21:09] Speaker B: We're getting there.
[01:21:14] Speaker A: Okay, so yeah, Cooper, you tell me what you're using to aim with. Because arguably, I mean, it's an arcane cannon.
[01:21:21] Speaker F: So yeah, it's finesse, it's control.
I feel like Cass understands how the mana crystal works. I feel like she's helping by being like, okay, when you put the cannon in, be careful because the mana crystal. Because I think alimony wasn't originally magic. Alimony was originally bog standard pistol that Kras updated. So if it's more like alimony now she knows how to.
[01:21:43] Speaker B: And I can sense the mana crystal. I know more about what's going on with that.
[01:21:47] Speaker F: So with that in mind, yeah, I'm finessing and I'm going to add one of my. My only hope to add excellent aim.
[01:21:54] Speaker A: Okay.
So Cass, if you deduct a hope as you help sort of like guide Cooper both physically and art magically through control of the arcane crystal.
[01:22:08] Speaker B: Done.
[01:22:10] Speaker A: Beautiful.
[01:22:12] Speaker D: Cool.
[01:22:12] Speaker F: And then I'm going to add excellent aim, which is now +4 after leveling up. So. So hopefully this is gonna go. Okay. So this is advantage now, right?
[01:22:23] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:22:24] Speaker F: With support.
[01:22:24] Speaker D: Yeah. Okay. Yes.
[01:22:26] Speaker A: Correct.
[01:22:26] Speaker F: Cool. Right.
[01:22:27] Speaker A: And I believe you are within very close range of boson grimmer. So if you screw it up for a stress, you can re roll it.
[01:22:39] Speaker F: Okay, cool. Right. Well, let's. Let's do it.
That's a crit. That's a crit.
[01:22:47] Speaker A: No, it's not. It's a six and a nine.
[01:22:49] Speaker F: Oh, that's so annoying.
[01:22:53] Speaker A: 26.
[01:22:53] Speaker E: 26.
[01:22:54] Speaker A: It's a 26 with a beer. So I will offer Boson grinners grim demeanor.
You've rolled with fear. You can re roll at the cost of distress.
[01:23:09] Speaker B: I think that's worth trying.
[01:23:11] Speaker F: Yeah.
[01:23:12] Speaker B: Okay, but then 26 is very good. Do we. We have to take what reroll is?
[01:23:17] Speaker D: I mean, if we got.
[01:23:18] Speaker F: If we got like an 11 with fear, I would go, yeah, sure, let's re roll. But 26.
[01:23:22] Speaker B: 26 is pretty good.
[01:23:23] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:23:24] Speaker F: If it's got a fear, this means
[01:23:25] Speaker B: Dan goes next and it is us. We have no other resources. So.
[01:23:31] Speaker A: Okay, in which case you. The two of you sort of like perhaps picking up on the slack because the crew that were manning this particular arcane cannon, they're the ones that have just been dashed by the.
The ordinance shot. But as the two of you kind of rushing like Cooper, you kind of heave hoe this large kind of ton heavy, like half a ton heavy kind of cannon into place.
Cassie, you prime the crystal between the two of you describe me and say is an arcane cannon. So it fires out magical blast. What does it look like when you hit the trigger?
[01:24:10] Speaker F: I. I imagine green.
Yeah, like a big green kind of magic power blast. Like a bit like a ray, but like a magic fiend one.
[01:24:21] Speaker A: I don't know.
[01:24:22] Speaker F: That's what I'm imagining.
[01:24:24] Speaker A: Okay. No, that's perfect. So I imagine that there's this.
That like, sound almost disappear. Like the sound of the world almost disappears as this thing goes to fire.
And there's.
In a blink of an eye, there's like a blast of straight light. There's a mini sort of like arcane mushroom cloud that billows out after it. And you watch as the arcane force, like visibly fires the. The cannon back like a couple of feet. Cooper, it kind of catches you a bit off guard as you. It kind of picks you up and carries you a little bit.
So I gain a fear.
But this shot, like arcs through the mist and the fog. You see the fog kind of billowing and like leaving like billowing into the space. But this tunnel left by this arc of green light as it sort of arcs ever so slightly. And then you hear the sound of this being striking something solid. And there are cries of panic and confusion as your shot hits a direct hit on the approaching ship.
Congratulations. That is some.
You've ticked up the Tidebreaker clock with a fear.
As you fire that griffin and Guardi, you notice that the sale like griffin, you're holding the mast in two. Like, holding the mast in place.
Yeah. Between you and Garda, you notice that the. The flames that have the flames around the hole that was scorched through the sail are beginning to catch. And if the sail catches fire, then the ship's gonna lose A shed load of propulsion.
Yeah. So the sail is now on fire. What do. Who wants to go next?
Guardiograph?
[01:26:25] Speaker C: I do the fire. I don't.
[01:26:27] Speaker B: You are the fire.
[01:26:29] Speaker F: I am the fire.
[01:26:31] Speaker B: Can. Can you eat the fire?
[01:26:32] Speaker E: Can you consume having any plan?
All right, it's a. It's a pirate ship. So there's probably barrels of stuff.
[01:26:46] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:26:47] Speaker E: About.
Is there a grabbable barrel of water I can get with my big eagle feet?
If not a barrel of nothing that I can then fill with water with
[01:27:01] Speaker A: my big eagle feet there, would I? Yeah, I reckon. Well, one way or the other. I don't know whether pirates would keep water barrels up on deck, but you could certainly the certain sort of like buckets or receptacles you could grab. And because you're a giant kind of horned eagle, you can.
Yeah, yeah, you can. You can absolutely do some sports. Splashy splash.
[01:27:28] Speaker E: Yeah, any kind of container. I'm gonna.
[01:27:31] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:27:32] Speaker E: Snag.
[01:27:32] Speaker C: I can. I can spend a. Hope to assist you if you want.
[01:27:36] Speaker E: Oh, that'd be good.
[01:27:36] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:27:38] Speaker E: Chuck it for me so I can snatch out. Yeah, yeah, I can do that.
[01:27:43] Speaker A: Okay, so you now have advantage.
So yeah, Tim, if you want to chuck me a roll for like the. The grabbing of water, the actual application of water.
Yeah, that sounds good.
[01:27:58] Speaker E: Advantage. Finesse.
Come on.
[01:28:03] Speaker C: It's a nice
[01:28:06] Speaker A: 22 with hope. That is juicy.
Okay, so you, as Griffin, as you toss up this like bucket guardi, you managed to grab it in your talons as you swoop down in. In sort of like one fluid motion fill this bucket. And much like like the helicopters that help put out kind of wildfires, as you swoop up, you come to a stop like as you.
Well how. Well I say, are you just kind of getting above and then tipping the bucket over or are you doing a fly by flick or.
[01:28:37] Speaker E: Yeah, probably like circle around and then just dump it as I fly over it. So it's sort of just chuck bucks. It was all over the sale as much as possible.
[01:28:46] Speaker A: Okay, okay, very good.
In which case you.
You've successfully kind of dispel what the fire gets put out. There's a. There's a, you know a trebuchet rock shaped hole in the sail. But at least the, the sale's not. The hole's not going to get any bigger as you manage to put out that flame. You've rolled a success success with hope. So that triggers up the fire clock and you've just heard like you've seen this blast of energy from one arcane cannon that's crewed by Cooper and Cassandra.
There are two other arcane cannons which are. Well, you put out the. You. Your water splashes against the sail and then guardians. You kind of regard your work you from where you are. You almost watch as the ship shunts like a couple of feet to the. To the left like. Like underneath you. As on a singular command, all of the cannonades from the arcane cannons on the lower deck fire in unison.
And the. The force of it kind of rocks the ship away from the blast. But you see, see these.
I mean how many. How many cannons are there down there? There's 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. There's like nine cannons below deck which all fire simultaneously into the. Into the mist.
You see that? Some go, some miss, but some hit.
So let's do.
Let's do a D.
Three.
And perhaps from your direct actions of being able to kind of secure the mast, making sure that's still in one piece and still usable.
There are three direct hits on this approaching ship as it kind of steep like steams towards you.
Very good. Griffin and Guardi.
What's I wanting to do?
[01:30:55] Speaker D: What is. What does.
[01:30:59] Speaker C: I think your microphone is a bit too away from your mouth.
[01:31:03] Speaker D: What does what.
[01:31:10] Speaker A: Closer.
[01:31:13] Speaker C: Like a bit closer.
[01:31:14] Speaker A: There you go.
[01:31:18] Speaker D: Would boson. What would boson like?
[01:31:23] Speaker A: Well, bo.
Yeah, boson is just like striding backwards and forwards like she yelling out.
Mainly death threats to the crew.
[01:31:37] Speaker D: I can take some guys out if that's what he wants. Keep.
[01:31:39] Speaker A: Keep them in line.
The. I mean the ship has got a pretty. Pretty good bearing.
The mask seems like you've got hold of one mask. The other one seems okay.
Yeah. You feel like the tiebreaker is in a pretty commanding position if anything.
And it seems like it's doing relatively well in this kind of sea battle.
But a You notice. I will say you notice that this ship it's. The silhouette is becoming clearer and clearer and it does not seem to be slowing down.
Like it is coming at you wholly too fast.
Bs I say Ellas Mirror's commands are. She needs eyes.
Man the sails, man the guns, repair any damages. But Guardian Griffin have kind of. Well, Griffin's kind of seen to that.
[01:32:47] Speaker E: Fling yourself in front of a trebuchet shot.
[01:32:52] Speaker A: Just block it the visual.
Like if you. If you wanted to roll out more like strength checks to kind of keep the sales in.
[01:32:59] Speaker D: I was. I'm happy to say see that.
[01:33:01] Speaker A: Okay.
And hello Rich Light. Welcome.
No worries. Thanks for joining.
Okay, so yes, there's.
So I'll say then that it's when, like, Boson.
The boson looks to you like Grinner looks to you. And are they. Are they trying to ram us? He says. And, like, as he realizes it, he starts yelling out to, like, come up more. He begins yelling out to Ellasmira via a number of the crew. But every time you hear him shout, they're trying to ram, like, the crew that repeat, like, parroting it on, like, there's.
They're made of ham.
There's a panic that's beginning to spread through the crew because, like, no one is. You should never ram a ship with another ship. That's just not great.
[01:33:59] Speaker C: That's not cool.
[01:34:03] Speaker A: Yeah. You. You notice like, Ella's mirror look up as she hears the. Here's the bark out of. They're trying to ram us. And, like, she turns the wheels and you've got to. Yeah. If you're trying to help to do the.
Do the sails 22 with fear.
Boson. The boson looks at you and with his grim demeanor, if you want to reroll, you can for a stress.
Come on.
[01:34:45] Speaker C: Okay.
[01:34:46] Speaker A: Okay.
As you like, pull. Go to pull on the sails.
I say there is a bit of a panic that's beginning to spread through the crew, so I'm gonna take a fear.
And as.
As you. You're pulling on the. The, like, you run across to the other side of the deck to pull on the. The ropes on that side to make the mask kind of turn in response to Elismira's orders.
But in. But curiously, you're.
As you. You're sort of like fighting against the wind, like, the. The size of the. The sail and the wind that's kind of caught in the sail that's carrying you forward.
You slip like, your foot slip slips and you stagger back a number of steps as the sail suddenly spins, like, surprisingly easily. So I'm going to go ahead and spend a fear because as you pull so the.
I've done this wrong way around. So the tiebreaker go. The raffle blade goes up by one. As you pull, you realize the sudden.
The sudden ease that you're able to rule the sail is because as you look down the ship, the wind in the sails suddenly dissipates and the fog has completely encapsulated the ship.
And it's like, Abe, you can't explain it. Wind doesn't just stop.
But as you look around, like, you realize that you're in this.
It's almost as if the world has just become deathly still around you.
And as Ella's mirror Sort of like she shouts, you know, she shouting her orders. You notice that the other sales have suddenly sort of like been pulled out of alignment by the sudden lack of wind that were kind of naturally kind of pushing them in a certain direction.
And suddenly the ship just kind of jinx out of alignment. And you see some shots kind of go wide from the, from the other cannons that are, that have been primed and they, they sort of like arc miss the approaching ship.
And I will spend another fear as you sort of like as you let go of this. Well, as you're holding this rope, Ape, you turn to see Boson Grinner. So like looking, it's the probably the palest you've seen him as he looks over the right hand side of the ship and you can see the silhouette of the enemy bearing down on you now, piercing out of the COVID of the fog.
And the ship is this metal. It. It's a smaller ship than the tiebreaker, but the hull is covered in this metal plating.
There is a dark, an almost black color sail that flies from its, from its mast.
But you notice that the prow of the ship comes together in like in what appears to be a giant metallic wedge.
And based off what you've seen at Dorleshal, you reckon it's a wedge that could punch drive a gouge into the docks of a town like Dolan.
And as you see the colors of the wrathful blade emerge from the fog, Grinner turns to all of you and yells brace for impact.
And I need all of you to make an agility reaction. Check please.
[01:38:55] Speaker E: Do I have to make one? I mean I'm.
[01:38:57] Speaker A: Oh, not you.
[01:38:58] Speaker D: You're.
[01:38:58] Speaker A: You're a burb. Yeah, you are absolutely fine.
[01:39:04] Speaker B: Can I implement? Natural climber. Because it involves balancing.
[01:39:10] Speaker A: Yes, I think you can.
[01:39:12] Speaker D: Can I implement because I can. Dangerous environments. Is this not a dangerous environment?
[01:39:18] Speaker E: It's a pretty dangerous environment.
[01:39:19] Speaker A: Okay, yes, I'll say yes, I'll be. I'll be kind.
[01:39:24] Speaker F: Ok,
[01:39:31] Speaker D: I got a queen.
[01:39:34] Speaker A: Okay, so crit from ABE, a 10. From coupe, a 20. So Cass passes Griffin Cooper.
Okay, so Griffin and Cooper like you. As you hear Griffith Grinner shouting out Bryce for impact, the two of you turn to look and Cooper. Well, you, you watch this metal hold ship barrels towards the tiebreaker at full speed. And the two of you are hurled from your feet as the tip of the prowl. The tip of the. The ramming prowl of the. This ship which you believe to be to able exos flagship crashes into the side of the wooden hull. Of the tiebreaker and the wood, the metal. The metal ram bursts through the side of the ship and carves into it like a knife into butter.
You can hear the sounds of splintering wood under. Underfoot, like in the deck beneath. You can hear the sounds of screaming as, like crew, like crushed in the wake of this ramming ship.
And as you sort of like, stand, well, Cass, you've managed to sort of like, grab onto the railing. You kind of hold yourself up, Abe, you've managed to grab onto the railing, hold yourself up, like Grinna and Elismira are thrown to the ground, like, thrown to the deck. And as you peer.
What has happened from your position, Abe, you can see.
You can see behind the metal ram of the.
Of the ship that's just t boned into the side of the. The tiebreaker. You can see a, like a warband's worth of crew.
Griffin, as you like, pick yourself up, you can hear from the stairs underfoot that, like, you. You hear what sounds like a large iron door, like an iron gate swinging open.
And the sounds of a furious battle begin to emerge from the deck below.
Just as a number of grappling hooks swing up from the deck of the Wrathful Blade and Hook onto the side of the Tidebringer, allowing these pirate raiders, these Draven marauders, to begin boarding the tiebreaker.
And as the five of you kind of pick yourselves up and get yourselves ready, let's go for a quick break.
Okay, we'll see you in 10 minutes.
Bye.
Hello and welcome back everyone to Explorers of Elsewhere live Titan Isles. Hi, my name is DM Dan and this is Libby, Theo, Nate, Georgia, Tim.
Hi.
[01:43:01] Speaker F: Hello.
[01:43:02] Speaker A: Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello.
And hello to those of you in chat. Welcome, welcome, welcome.
We rejoin the our intrepid heroes on a ship that has just been t boned by a another ship, which I'm I'm told is not great for the health of the T boned ship.
But the Tidebreaker, the ship of Pirate Queen Elismira, has been fully rammed and pierced by the metal hull of what is assumed to be Exo's ship. The same ship that last ram raided $Shawl. Not only, you know, a few days prior, who would have sunk, who would have thunk it.
And as we turn to this new map, I guess I can describe it from Guardi's elevator, bird's eye view, the ship is relatively sleek and narrow, much like a dagger, like a piercing blade.
[01:44:12] Speaker D: Blade, would you say Blade?
[01:44:13] Speaker F: Maybe.
[01:44:14] Speaker A: Oh, yes. Oh, yes.
And the. Yeah, large, sort of like dark sails. Billowing, well, seemingly billowing in a wind that is not there for the Tidebreaker.
For all it feels as if the air the very rare around you has become stale and stagnant and guardian fact. It's difficult for you to flat because like thermals like when the standard come out wind dynamics just don't seem to be applying.
There's a. An unnatural stillness across the exposed upper deck of the the Blade of the Wrathful Blade.
You see a number of Draven marauders, the same kind of raiders that started ransacking do shawl in that fateful attack.
And you can see them sort of like the. The ones on the top deck have thrown up grappling hooks, are in the process of climbing onto the ship itself.
Guardi behind them.
You notice and I can actually show you this now. You notice that there is a. A Draven marauder who wears more kind of flowing robes is still in those kind of drav olive skin colored kind of tattered clothing.
But the this individual there is a like a sanguine glow that emanates from them as they kind of conjure this blood red magic between their hands behind the the mass of the invading marauders. But perhaps more worryingly, more pressingly, whereas the marauders are pulling themselves up on grappling hooks, you notice that leading the charge is an absolute behemoth who appears to have clawed gauntlets adorning their huge meaty fists. And they are quite literally scaling the side of the ship through the use of these claws. And you acknowledge immediately that when this Berserker hits the deck, carnage will break loose.
Judging by their armor made up of wicked and sharp barbed blades.
I will also ask for a very quick reaction check from Guardi.
A instinct reaction check.
12.
So you feel like.
Well, you do get the impression that this Berserker probably isn't the like the mastermind of the assault. But you also get the impression that this mage, this kind of blood Mage to behind the Marauders doesn't really seem to be like. Seems to be in a more commanding position, but doesn't seem to be the commander. So you've. You reckon you can't see them however, that there is someone else masterminding this attack. You cannot see the captain of the Wrathful Blade.
So with that in mind, I'm going to chuck the five of you plus Kick Fran plus Grinner plus Ellasmira into combat.
Into the combat tracker.
Oh no. You're all there. Twice.
[01:48:04] Speaker D: It's okay. We wrote twice.
[01:48:07] Speaker A: Hold.
So yes, you can hear, like the sounds of the marauders scaling the side of the ship immediately in front of you. But Griffin Cooper, like, with your heads where you've hit the deck from the impact of the wrathful Blade, you can hear that there is combat happening below you as well. Like, below deck.
So this is truly a battle on two fronts.
Yeah. Who wants to go first?
[01:48:38] Speaker D: I want to get that big boy.
[01:48:40] Speaker A: Want to get the big boy.
Okay, go. Abe go.
[01:48:47] Speaker D: Right, so he's.
I know that sort of t.
Are they sort of adjacent or can I would a. Have to jump down onto him to try to get his way up?
[01:49:00] Speaker A: Well, so let me. Let me just.
So the Berserker has, for all extents and purposes, got onto the deck of the Tiebreaker and is being followed by the hot. Hot on the heels being followed by the Raiders.
[01:49:20] Speaker D: I would like to smash him, please.
Can I never. I always forget to do this. Can I please go unstoppable? Unstoppable.
[01:49:30] Speaker A: You can
[01:49:33] Speaker D: let me put that one in.
Wherever that is.
Where is my unstoppable?
Did that come up? Did that not come up?
[01:49:54] Speaker A: It did not come up.
Where is.
Where is.
So if we clicky that.
I would do that. There we go.
[01:50:08] Speaker D: There we go. There we go.
[01:50:10] Speaker A: Okay, so you are unstoppable. So you go up to.
So bear in mind the unstoppable die isn't implemented, but.
Yeah, you. So you were on one unstoppable.
[01:50:23] Speaker D: That mean reduce physical damage?
[01:50:27] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:50:29] Speaker D: Can't be restrained, can't be vulnerable. And then I add a D4.
[01:50:34] Speaker A: No. So you add one. So it's a D6. That ticks up. So you have one one and then two and then three to your damage.
[01:50:41] Speaker D: Perfect.
[01:50:43] Speaker B: Cool.
[01:50:43] Speaker D: Can I hit this man? And I would like to use one of my new abilities.
Send to chat.
That one. Come on.
No.
[01:51:01] Speaker A: Hates me if you speech bubble.
It's on the right hand side.
[01:51:12] Speaker D: Why is it not coming up?
[01:51:13] Speaker A: Which one is it? Right, drop that one.
[01:51:20] Speaker C: Sometimes if you restart Foundry, it will help.
[01:51:22] Speaker D: It might.
[01:51:22] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:51:23] Speaker D: I think it is going a little bit slow.
Perfect. So I would like to mark one stress to gain a bonus damage roll equal to twice my strength.
[01:51:34] Speaker A: So plus eight.
[01:51:36] Speaker D: So plus eight.
[01:51:38] Speaker A: Okay. Okay.
[01:51:39] Speaker D: Plus one.
Plus nine.
Yeah, let me. Let me roll.
[01:51:44] Speaker A: Okay, plus eight. Plus one.
So you on plus nine. This to start with.
[01:51:51] Speaker D: Yeah.
Okay, that's.
Oh, and I've got one Hope. Can I use that as a plus two for pick on someone your own size?
[01:52:10] Speaker A: Yes, if you can, You can 50 with hope.
[01:52:24] Speaker D: Validice D what is it?
[01:52:27] Speaker C: D8. D8.
[01:52:28] Speaker D: D8. Yeah, yeah.
[01:52:33] Speaker A: 20 with hope. 20 with hope is a hit. So mark your hope and then, so yeah, you've got plus 8 from Rage up, plus 1 from Unstoppable, and then your normal mods.
So plus 9, I guess.
[01:52:49] Speaker D: Plus 9.
So 4D8.
[01:52:55] Speaker A: Yeah. Plus 9 situational bonus.
28.
That. Yeah, that looks total. So 28 damage.
Okay, so as you barrel into this metal clad berserker, as you.
As you swing the axe and it bites deep, the Berserker roars like your axe gets lodged in the armor. The Berserker roars. But then a.
I mean, well, you tell me how you feel when you realize that the Berserker isn't roaring in pain, but more in fury and like unfettered rage.
As you deal major. You deal major damage to it.
[01:53:45] Speaker D: He gets mad.
[01:53:47] Speaker A: Yeah, and like the Berserker's just got this ax like embedded in his rib cage and he just.
[01:53:55] Speaker D: A valid response. Oh yeah, I feel. I feel
[01:54:02] Speaker A: I'm going to.
To validate that response even more.
Spend a fear and I shall immediately.
Okay, yes, it's going to.
It's got your act embedded in you, so it's sweet wings at your neck with its clawed gauntlets.
4.
Why didn't that roll for this?
A 7. A 20 to hit.
[01:54:49] Speaker D: I'm unstoppable. So that take down hit.
[01:54:53] Speaker A: Yeah, no, they.
[01:54:55] Speaker D: Oh, 20 hits. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:54:57] Speaker A: 22. Okay, so first things first.
As the Berserker deals you.
24 damage, I will first point out that the blades of the gauntlet seem to cut through armor with supreme surprising ease and its under armor ability when it makes a successful attack, you must mark an armor slot without receiving the benefits.
If you can't mark the armor slot, you take an extra damage
[01:55:33] Speaker D: because. But I don't wear armor.
[01:55:38] Speaker A: Well, it cuts through your T shirt with surprising.
[01:55:42] Speaker D: Oh, that's why I do my neckerchief.
[01:55:47] Speaker A: And so you have to mark a armor slot at the very least or take an extra health and the display as it flails wildly like griffin.
Like you are watching this from sort of like the deck and like as you watch as this berserker that's almost as tall as a Just go wild and like ape has to bring your shield up to, you know, whether the blows.
You can't help but find this somewhat terrifying.
And all PCs within far range lose a hope. And that is all of you.
The joke is well and truly on me.
Okay, so that's it. For the Berserker's turn, let's go to Griffin.
[01:56:44] Speaker C: How these boys on the boat, all these. All this cluster of boys, all these pirate raiders again.
So they're still on.
They're still on the raffle blade at the moment?
[01:57:05] Speaker A: Yes. The raiders are. Well, no, they're. They're halfway up the.
[01:57:10] Speaker C: The.
[01:57:10] Speaker A: Like, they're pulling themselves up kind of thing.
[01:57:13] Speaker C: Okay.
[01:57:13] Speaker A: They are in the process of boarding.
[01:57:15] Speaker C: Okay. And they're sort of in close range with most other people, aren't they?
[01:57:20] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:57:23] Speaker F: Fireball is not going to happen, unfortunately.
[01:57:28] Speaker C: Well, it depends on how close they are to two people. Are they close?
[01:57:32] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:57:33] Speaker F: Yeah, that's okay.
[01:57:36] Speaker A: Very close.
[01:57:36] Speaker C: But they're very close to each other.
[01:57:38] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:57:41] Speaker B: I. I was also going to ask what. How close they were to each other, because I can do chain lightning, which does not do friendly fire.
[01:57:50] Speaker A: Oh, okay.
[01:57:53] Speaker C: I will. I will cast a fireball at the ones close closest to me then.
[01:57:58] Speaker A: Okay. Yes, yes, yes.
[01:58:01] Speaker E: Oh, no.
[01:58:02] Speaker C: Lost my character sheet.
[01:58:03] Speaker A: So what's the. What's the wording of fireball? Just so fireball is my brows.
[01:58:09] Speaker C: I. I target them from a far range on a success.
All targets within. All creatures within close. Very close range of them have to then make a reaction roll.
[01:58:21] Speaker A: So I will say. Say that very close is gonna clip the Berserkers. It's gonna get Abe. It's gonna get the crew in front of you.
Like, we can use the. The scales are, like, legit at this point. I mean, you are very close to them.
[01:58:40] Speaker D: Oh, I don't mind taking a bird.
[01:58:44] Speaker F: Me and Cass are also there, and we are squishy.
[01:58:46] Speaker A: You.
You will hit everyone barguardy.
[01:58:53] Speaker F: Chris, just wanted to say crispy dragon for dinner.
[01:58:59] Speaker C: I'm just.
Could I do a wall of flame?
[01:59:02] Speaker A: A wall of flame is arguably more
[01:59:06] Speaker C: contained to sort of stop them from getting close.
[01:59:12] Speaker A: Yep. Mean, you could cast a wall of flame along the side of the ship.
You probably wouldn't want to keep it there for a particularly long time because you'd set the tiebreaker on fire. But you could certainly. Like, there's a. There's a good two dozen raiders, like, looking to board the ship.
[01:59:29] Speaker C: Yeah. Let's do that then.
[01:59:30] Speaker A: Okay. Call a flyer.
[01:59:32] Speaker C: I'm going to do it right Middle
[01:59:33] Speaker A: of them as well.
Okay. So just, like, if we do it, like, along the ship, like so. So they.
[01:59:40] Speaker C: So at least it catches some of them.
[01:59:42] Speaker A: Okay.
No, that is absolutely fine.
Cool.
Go.
So wall of fire right across the side of a ship.
And it means that. I mean, they. They either Drop or they have to climb through it kind of thing. So yeah, that would do that.
[02:00:04] Speaker D: It.
[02:00:05] Speaker A: Okay, so 16 with hope. So you take a hope and let's say that the raiders are already in it. So I think they're just going to end up taking the damage.
Let's choose what side to be on and everything subsequently pass through the. Yeah. So if you roll the four D10 plus.
29 or 29. Okay, so 29 damage is okay. So you hear.
You hear intense screaming coming from the sides of the ship as both of these hordes of raiders take two hit points points each.
And that fully reduces their numbers by half.
As some of them like they. But some of them like catch fire and let go. Some of them have their grappling hooks like the ropes snap due to the fire and like you hear at least one like fall and then boom bounce off the. The hull of the. The raffle blade and before splashing into the.
But yes, there's. There's still some that have just sort of like pulled themselves through the flame or the flame appeared kind of behind them. But yeah, you've taken out a good half of the borders that are clambering up.
Very, very good. Did you want to hold initiative or move on?
[02:01:46] Speaker C: Move on. Yeah.
[02:01:47] Speaker A: Okay. Go God to go.
[02:01:50] Speaker E: Okay.
That mage looks like a man with entirely too many eyeballs to me.
So I'm gonna go and help him out.
[02:02:00] Speaker A: Okay. Okay.
[02:02:02] Speaker E: Right. Crappy.
[02:02:08] Speaker A: So as you flap on down towards the mage.
[02:02:20] Speaker C: Lovely.
[02:02:21] Speaker E: 16 with hope.
[02:02:23] Speaker A: 16 with hope is a hit. So mark your hope.
[02:02:29] Speaker E: Lovely.
Pack, pack, pack.
Give me your peepers.
[02:02:38] Speaker A: 19 damage. Okay, so as you, as you let out your, your eagle noises, you swoop on down.
Yeah. How you've dealt major damage to this mage. Tell me how, how you savage him.
[02:02:56] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm just gonna like dive onto him, kind of knock him down to the deck and then just start pecking at his face and torso.
[02:03:07] Speaker A: Okay. So as you, as you sort of like scrabble at the. The mage's hood. Like he's wearing a hood similar to the other Draven marauders. But you manage to like claw clean through the. The mages mask and like you feel like your. Your talons cut ripping into fleshy face underneath as you as a metal parts way under your claws.
[02:03:35] Speaker E: We have peepers in there somewhere.
[02:03:38] Speaker A: Very good, very good.
I will.
I'm gonna step in ever so cheekily gonna step in Spend a fear and.
[02:03:47] Speaker E: Oh no.
[02:03:50] Speaker A: As the. As this mage embodied to the floor by you and sort of like, like brings One face up to sort of COVID his. Cover his face as best he can.
He.
His hand scrabbles around and grabs for the. The rod. The rune covered rod he was holding a moment ago.
And he sort of like aims it wildly in your direction and.
Or rolls a seven to hit.
[02:04:21] Speaker D: It's not.
[02:04:22] Speaker E: It's not going to do it.
[02:04:23] Speaker A: Okay.
And a. Like a beam of dark energy flies up past your feathered head like over your wing.
And g. You feel that? I mean that the blast was definitively arcane in nature. If you want to give me a.
A knowledge check, I think you could pro. You might be able to guess what sort of magic it was
[02:04:56] Speaker E: with my. Would my ancient wisdom be of any use here?
[02:04:59] Speaker A: Quite possibly, yes.
[02:05:01] Speaker E: Marvelous.
Or maybe not. Oh no, it is.
[02:05:08] Speaker A: Oh, it's a helicor.
[02:05:10] Speaker E: I'm feeling wise.
[02:05:11] Speaker A: You are feeling very wise as you.
Sorry. This blast of energy rips past your head and you expect it to be arcane.
But you immediately recognize not only is it. It's not arcane, it is divine in nature. This mage at your feet is perhaps some sort of like, well, a divine magic user.
But the spell itself is necrotic in nature.
There is a withering energy. The emanate from the blast that just missed you.
[02:05:50] Speaker E: Doesn't seem good.
[02:05:52] Speaker A: Does not. Do you want to maintain initiative or pass on?
[02:05:56] Speaker E: Oh, do you guys mind if I maintain for a sec? So I don't get.
[02:06:01] Speaker F: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[02:06:03] Speaker E: Sweet.
[02:06:05] Speaker A: So clear a stress as well. If you have. If you haven't already, did you roll a crit?
So I will say actually as you've landed pretty much all the deck of the Wrathful Blade and you're looking up like you're able to get a advantage down into the lower kind of middle deck of the ship. And you see immediately in front of you they're slightly darker because they're on a lower level.
There are a number of marauders who are curiously perhaps staying back in a more defensive position because behind them floats levitates a frail old figure.
[02:06:51] Speaker F: It's.
[02:06:53] Speaker A: It looks like an elderly law of our nature. Very hunched over, wearing the same. A similar kind of hoods and regat like garbs of the Draven marauders. But there is something peculiar about this. The clawed mask like the mask that looks like a dragon's claw over his face.
And you know what? On the back of your. Your knowledge crit, seeing this graven seer makes you realize the nature of the spell used against you.
It comes from the domain of Ulavari, the slain divine dragon during the war. The God of the gods of life and death.
And the claw.
The claw mask being worn by the. This. The. Presumably the. The captain of this ship is one that is worn like historically has been worn like. You've heard of battle monks of Ulavari, especially during the war. And you, Ager, that this floating figure with manacled like shackled wrists and ankles is in fact.
Well, it was at some point an adherent to vulari.
[02:08:18] Speaker E: Okay, that seems bad.
[02:08:21] Speaker A: That's all right.
[02:08:21] Speaker E: Like a bad development.
Right, Right.
I don't think I want to be here, so I'm gonna go.
I'm gonna go.
I'm going, boy.
I'm going back to guardi.
[02:08:47] Speaker A: Okay. Back to guardi mode.
[02:08:51] Speaker E: Straight from that, I'm going into big angry pig bastard mode.
[02:08:58] Speaker A: Oh, no.
[02:09:02] Speaker F: Love that pin.
[02:09:03] Speaker E: Evolved traditional strength.
[02:09:06] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. So you're going for a giga murder pig.
[02:09:10] Speaker E: Yes.
Can I grab this mage, please? I'd like to try and grapple him with my team.
[02:09:17] Speaker A: You can with. With your face. Yeah, right. I. I reckon it's a strength.
Yes, strength sounds appropriate.
[02:09:26] Speaker E: I'll be an extra plus one for my evolved form.
[02:09:30] Speaker C: Go do a crunch.
[02:09:36] Speaker A: A 16 with fear.
[02:09:38] Speaker E: You managed to fearless to turn that into a hope as well, please.
[02:09:41] Speaker A: Okay, 60 with hope.
So, yeah, make sure to take your hope. And yeah, you managed to grab this mage between your. Your gnashers.
[02:09:52] Speaker E: Right, I'm off.
I'm gonna leap off the ship with this boy.
[02:10:02] Speaker A: Come on.
That was not the direction I anticipated going in.
Okay.
[02:10:12] Speaker F: In the sea with you.
[02:10:13] Speaker A: In the sea with you.
What are you planning? What are you.
[02:10:20] Speaker D: What are you planning to do next?
[02:10:24] Speaker E: I think like I'm just gonna shake him until he stops.
It's really the plan.
[02:10:32] Speaker A: Okay, I.
If you want to roll. If you want to roll the damage for the sake of it. But between the damage and the waters, I think we could. We're happy to say that this. This mage is not long for this bowl.
If it's a particularly gnarly damage roll that, you just want to see all the dice fly out, by all means, please roll.
[02:10:53] Speaker E: That would please me.
[02:10:54] Speaker A: Yeah, I was preparing my bowling skittles sound.
Okay, so we've got a 29. 29 damage. Okay, so you shake this mage so hard that. Like that, there is a distinct sound of a neck snapping as it clatters against the side of the ship as you go leaping off the side before disappearing into the waters. Yeah, this mage is absolutely cooked as you.
Take him Down. Absolutely. Mullet.
[02:11:48] Speaker C: He was very frightening when he got to make a move.
[02:11:52] Speaker A: He was very, very frightening. Yes.
[02:11:53] Speaker E: I'll just doggy paddle here for a bit.
[02:11:55] Speaker A: Okay.
Okay, so who wants to go next?
[02:12:04] Speaker B: Can Cass.
[02:12:06] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:12:07] Speaker B: Have a go with Chain Lightning?
[02:12:10] Speaker A: Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes.
So there are. Yeah, about 12, 10 to 12 marauders still sort of like clambering up and they look like they're about to get up. Be up there soon.
I've also realized.
So hang on. We've got Guardi rolled with hope.
And who else rolled with Hope? I think you've all rolled with Hope. Okay. Yeah. So after you cast, the crew have six the wall. Yeah, the crew will go after you. So.
[02:12:50] Speaker B: So Chain Lightning is against all targets within close range.
[02:12:55] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:12:55] Speaker B: And then all targets within close range of them, and then all targets within close range of them, etc.
[02:13:02] Speaker D: Etc.
[02:13:03] Speaker B: Until there are no more accessories within range.
[02:13:06] Speaker A: Okay. So that's gonna hit the. The dozen or so that climbing up the side and then into the berserker.
Okay.
Do you.
I presume you roll to hit.
Okay, cool, cool.
[02:13:22] Speaker D: Co.
[02:13:43] Speaker C: Lovely,
[02:13:45] Speaker F: lovely.
[02:13:47] Speaker C: Okay.
[02:13:48] Speaker A: An 18 With Hope is a hit for me. Just logging back in. Yeah.
[02:13:55] Speaker F: Roll four.
[02:13:56] Speaker A: Okay. So do you just keep on rolling or.
Or does it now just hit all 4? 3.
[02:14:05] Speaker B: So it's targets who failed the spell cast roll take 2d8 plus 4 magic damage. And then initial adversaries not already targeted by chain mining, but within close range of previous targets who took damage must also make the reaction roll.
And then sort of. That continues until nobody's left.
[02:14:24] Speaker A: Let's have a little look. Also, if you give your microphone a little wiggle.
[02:14:28] Speaker C: Yeah.
[02:14:28] Speaker A: Your microphone quickly gone a bit dar.
[02:14:30] Speaker B: Oh, no, it's not. I'm not anywhere. Is this. Is this better?
[02:14:35] Speaker F: Don't know what happened there. You did sound like a Dalek for.
[02:14:38] Speaker B: Oh, it happens.
[02:14:41] Speaker A: We. We all have a.
[02:14:43] Speaker F: We'll have our.
[02:14:47] Speaker A: Okay, so.
So you've marked your stress targets you succeed against. Oh, sorry. They make a reaction roll.
The targets you succeed against.
[02:15:04] Speaker B: So it's whoever I. So whoever gets hit by the first one, whoever's close to them and hasn't already been hit gets hit. And then you have this close to them. He hasn't been hit. So it continues until it runs out of reaction rolls or.
[02:15:15] Speaker A: So an 18 does hit all of them.
So then they all need to make reaction saves.
[02:15:22] Speaker B: So.
[02:15:23] Speaker A: So I'll go ahead and do that. So the ones closest. So the marauders closest to you fail.
The marauders slightly Further away fail.
And I have to roll an 80 to pass this. This is.
And then the, the Berserker fails.
So they all take two. Yes, if you roll your two D8 plus four and then that will zips up all of them.
[02:15:57] Speaker D: Cool.
[02:16:00] Speaker A: Targets too far.
[02:16:01] Speaker F: Your microphone's happening again by the way.
[02:16:03] Speaker D: Yeah.
[02:16:03] Speaker C: Dalek.
[02:16:09] Speaker F: What? Microphone coming out.
[02:16:14] Speaker D: Okay,
[02:16:16] Speaker A: the Tardis.
Yeah, that's fine. Okay, so two there plus four.
Okay. 13 damage. Okay, so there.
There's already the smell of pork coming up from the side of the ship thanks to Griffin.
And with 13 damage, that is.
[02:16:47] Speaker C: Have you.
[02:16:50] Speaker A: What did you roll? A three and a six.
I'm. I'm just gonna very gently suggest that we might consider using.
How many hope have you got? I don't know.
Let me hope. Have you got.
[02:17:05] Speaker B: You've got one single hope.
[02:17:07] Speaker A: You got a singular hope. Okay.
[02:17:09] Speaker B: My fresh new hope.
[02:17:13] Speaker A: Do you feel like perhaps maybe wanting to put a domain card into your.
[02:17:19] Speaker B: Oh, is this, this thing. I've never used channel raw power or
[02:17:24] Speaker A: doing anything to add.
Well, choose one of the following elements or tell you what, we can go one better elementalist.
If you can describe to me how lightning feeds into your train lightning, you can do an extra three damage.
[02:17:43] Speaker B: I. I feel, Dan, that maybe this lightning spell that I do might incorporate lightning in some capacity. I know it's a stretch.
[02:17:54] Speaker A: An interesting proposition to be sure.
[02:17:57] Speaker B: We have to use that imaginations for this one, but I think if we try really hard.
[02:18:02] Speaker A: Okay, so are we saying that you're going to spend a hope because your lightning channels into the fact that you cast lightning.
Okay, Amazing. So actually you've done 16 damage?
[02:18:15] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, I'd say that.
[02:18:16] Speaker A: Cool.
That is major, not minor damage.
And as you sort of like lead over the side, describe to me what happens when you funnel for lightning into the surviving raiders and they all cook.
[02:18:35] Speaker B: It's just this rain of bodies off the side of the ship and they're
[02:18:42] Speaker A: making really satisfying noises off the hull.
Okay.
Yeah. You, you obliterate the two. The, the, the remaining raiders climbing up onto the deck of the ship and the Berserker. So you did 16 damage. Unfortunately that is minor damage for the Berserker, but the Raiders are no longer an issue.
Very well done.
Cool.
Would you like to maintain initiative?
[02:19:16] Speaker B: No, I think that's good. I'm out of. Out of hope.
[02:19:19] Speaker A: Okay, who wants to go? I think Cooper Goober next. He's still on the floor.
[02:19:24] Speaker F: I'm. I'm good. Yes, I'd like to get up from the floor.
[02:19:26] Speaker D: Please.
[02:19:26] Speaker F: As everyone is like been doing things. Cooper's just like things.
Can I just quickly check?
[02:19:33] Speaker A: Yes.
[02:19:34] Speaker F: Abe, how much stress have you currently got?
[02:19:37] Speaker D: Quite a lot.
[02:19:39] Speaker F: Would you like me to take some of that stress stress away?
[02:19:42] Speaker D: I would love for you to eat that stress away.
[02:19:46] Speaker F: Yeah.
[02:19:48] Speaker A: Cooper, just before you crack on, I've just realized we need to let the. The crew. The crew are going to swing.
Yeah, cuz throw them back. Yeah.
So they've already destroyed
[02:20:13] Speaker F: lightning to off
[02:20:16] Speaker A: the crew that got squished by the Bliss. They shot in in front of. In front of Griffin. They rush forward and start like jumping on the Berserker and like stabbing and swinging. And they're just like holding on to. Holding off one arm. But they managed to hit him and they deal buckle in.
[02:20:37] Speaker F: Oh, oh.
[02:20:38] Speaker A: Actually doing. What is that, 18.
They're more holding him down. I think it's.
And then the marauders from behind you will then surge forward and they're going to swing reverse wash buckling blades and they miss.
So yeah, the. The first group kind of jump on the Berserker. The Berserker's kind of got you you in an arm. Well, it's got its claws trying to gouge into Abe's neck and it's like being held up by the shield. The pirate crew jumped onto the Berserker's left arm and trying to shake them off. And like the other crew have just sort of like pushed in between A and Cass, but they just can't get in. They're trying to duck out the way and not get skewered by the flying bladed armor.
There's also some fighting happening downstairs. We'll deal with that in a sec. Cooper, back to you.
[02:21:36] Speaker F: Hello.
So I would like to use my new domain card, share the burden. So once per rest I can take on the stress from a willing creature within melee range. The target describes what intimate knowledge or emotions telepathically leak from their mind in this moment between you. Intimate knowledge.
So I'm sensing this might be a.
Something connected to what Kerbotha has like caused with Cooper and the weird exo happenings.
But Cooper gets up, he wants to help and I think he goes. He sees like the fight happening with the Berserker, so he goes to help. And I think maybe he likes touches like a shoulder to be like, I'll help, I'll help. Unless there's like connection causes the telepathic connection.
So yeah, I guess the question is what leaks from your mind that allows your stress to be Relieved.
[02:22:40] Speaker D: Oh, what's like. So it's kind of like what.
[02:22:44] Speaker F: Because that's how I. That's how I'm imagining it works.
[02:22:46] Speaker E: Is that.
[02:22:47] Speaker F: Yeah, yeah.
[02:22:49] Speaker D: Stressing them out that you can then.
[02:22:52] Speaker F: Yeah.
[02:22:52] Speaker D: Is that out of.
[02:22:54] Speaker F: Yeah. So, yeah, I'm. I'm.
[02:22:56] Speaker A: I'm.
[02:22:57] Speaker F: I'm relieving. I'm reducing the stress from you. So I feel like I must get something else. Excuse. Excusing the stress.
Yeah.
[02:23:11] Speaker D: Oh, there's a. I can't hear anyone.
[02:23:14] Speaker F: Oh, sorry. Hello.
[02:23:18] Speaker D: For ages. No, it's all right.
Yeah, I think, like, you could just feel like there's just this, like, overwhelming sort of stress of.
I think Abe's got kind of something to live for for now. So he's. He's much more stressed in kind of being like. Whereas before, he'd kind of throw himself at things. And now he's like, oh, actually there. There's consequences of if I do something does happen to me.
So I think you can kind of feel that, like, sort of like anxiety.
[02:24:01] Speaker F: Okay.
[02:24:02] Speaker D: God, I've got. I got response. And where. He's now got friends and. What friends? I've got a daughter.
Haven't paid off my house yet.
[02:24:15] Speaker F: Like that mortgage on that hut.
Okay, so in that case, I think as Cooper feels this as he touches your arm to be like, I'm going to come help you feel that stress, like, go away. Which. Which surprises even Cooper as he takes it on. So now I've taken on all of your stress, however.
So that's 5 stress that you had.
[02:24:44] Speaker D: Stress. Yeah.
[02:24:45] Speaker F: I now take 5 stress. But now I also take 5 hope.
I take. I take the matching amount of stress.
[02:24:53] Speaker D: Nice.
[02:24:56] Speaker B: Shoot.
[02:24:57] Speaker F: I can do it once per rest. I can't do it all the time, but very helpful.
[02:25:02] Speaker B: You take on Abe's mortgage woes, but
[02:25:05] Speaker A: you feel that Cooper visibly ages three decades in the blink of an eye.
[02:25:13] Speaker D: Oh, God. I've got a daughter. I've got a mortgage.
[02:25:17] Speaker A: Cooper suddenly looks like Abe, and Abe suddenly looks like Cooper.
[02:25:23] Speaker F: If only that's how it actually works.
[02:25:26] Speaker A: You watch the eye bags evaporate off Abe's face.
Feels so spidey.
[02:25:34] Speaker F: Okay, so that happens.
[02:25:36] Speaker A: Amazing.
[02:25:37] Speaker F: And then I'm gonna use the opportunity. This. This new found hope within me with distress, but certainly with the hope. I would like to attack the berserker. I want to go in. In sneakily and kind of use my dagger. Well, if I'm allowed.
[02:25:52] Speaker A: Mr. Mr. Cooper, may I suggest if we're. If we're talking about helping each other out, may I direct you to your best buddy in the world ever, Because he has. He has an ability called blackguard training.
[02:26:13] Speaker F: Okay, nice.
[02:26:15] Speaker A: What does that exactly?
[02:26:17] Speaker F: Does that take my stress away, Dan? Because that.
[02:26:19] Speaker A: Would you perform a tag team action with Kick Friend? You can spend a. Hope to have Kick Friend deal critical damage instead of his standard damage. And critical is 3D8 plus 38 damage.
[02:26:33] Speaker F: Okay, sure. Okay, I'll do that.
I'm convinced.
[02:26:40] Speaker A: Okay, so you need to spend three Hope.
What? Spend the three Hope and then we'll roll. And then if you want him to use his Black Guard training, you can spend the 4th. Hope to have him auto grip.
What, to grill. To deal critical damage, as you say. So he's not auto critting. He just does damage a few.
[02:26:59] Speaker F: Okay, cool.
[02:27:00] Speaker C: Okay.
[02:27:00] Speaker A: Yeah. Right, so we'll both roll.
[02:27:03] Speaker F: Okay, so we're just rolling up normal weapon stuff.
[02:27:06] Speaker A: Yes.
[02:27:07] Speaker F: Okay, so, yeah, I'm gonna roll kick
[02:27:13] Speaker A: Trans, roll to 23. Keep up.
[02:27:19] Speaker F: I mean. Yeah, that's good.
Kick fans work quite well.
[02:27:24] Speaker A: So do you want to use the 14 with hope or the 23 flat?
[02:27:31] Speaker F: 23 flat would be great.
[02:27:32] Speaker B: Cool.
[02:27:33] Speaker A: In which case, describe to me what happens as you move in towards this, presumably the Berserker.
[02:27:39] Speaker F: Right, yeah. So, like, I've reached around to help Abe, and then, like, I've gone in to, like, go to stab the Berserker, because I'm going in sneakily.
I'm not, like, far away. My crossbow, because I'm close range, and I feel like.
Because obviously Kiffran can see me, but not see me, so he can sense me. And if Cooper's still. As far as Cooper's aware, he's still sigeled up with this. With this video.
So Cooper's gonna be like, oh, are you gonna help or what? I thought we had a deal.
And. Yeah. How does Kiffran respond?
[02:28:24] Speaker A: Okay, well, Kick Fran turns his head in your direction as you shout this, and it's. Again, it's kind of unerring, unnerving to see him. So I pick you out from this loud, raucous, like, scenario that you find yourself in, and then you, as you sort of, like, barrel in, you've kind of parkoured over the arcane cast cannon, like, slipped past Cass.
Where is it on the Berserker you're aiming for with your dagger.
[02:28:54] Speaker D: If I'm.
[02:28:55] Speaker F: If I. If you're suggesting I jump from high, I might try and do your shoulder then.
[02:29:00] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:29:01] Speaker F: If I'm gonna. If I parkoured up that. That's more fun anyway.
[02:29:04] Speaker A: Perfect. Okay. In which case, as you sort of like one foot on the cannon, one foot off the. The side, like the railing of the. The hull to sort of get an aerial attack, while this berserker's kind of got his arms pinned one by eight shield the other by six pirates.
As you come in, like, you can see out the corner of your eye that kick Fran has like, has broken into a sprint and is sort of like, is leapt off the side of the. The small boats like the, the, the. The dink, like the, the rowing boats that are on the deck. And like he's getting some hype. But you know, you.
He's not going to clear a whole deck worth of space between where he is and where the Berserker is, like, so you know, he's not going to get there in time.
And then as you come down with your blade and sort of like it slides under the gorget of the Berserker, you hear and kick Fran appears in a puff of what looks like shadowy mist. And the, the umbrella on sort of like opposite you over the Berserker's other shoulder. And the umbrella, like there's a shimmer. And you watch as the umbrella, an illusion fades and it turns into a rapier, an ornate masterwork rapier. And. And he skewers into the Berserker, the Berserker's neck on the other side of the gorget simultaneously with you. Please roll damage.
[02:30:40] Speaker C: Cool.
[02:30:41] Speaker F: I will, I will roll damage.
Need to remember how to do that.
Am I rolling for sneak attack on this one?
[02:30:51] Speaker A: I think so many friends. Many, many friends in melee.
[02:30:57] Speaker F: Okay, so roll, roll damage
[02:31:02] Speaker A: and kig fan rolls.
Right, so you've got 15 plus.
[02:31:13] Speaker F: Yeah, I'm sorry, I'm trying to. It's.
I haven't done sneak attack in a while, so I'm always forgetting how to do it on here. Now it's a 3D6 plus 3, I think.
[02:31:25] Speaker A: Now 3D6. Just 3D6 a bit.
[02:31:32] Speaker F: Plus my. It's plus my
[02:31:36] Speaker A: add a number of D6 is equal to your tier.
[02:31:39] Speaker F: Okay, so it's just 3D6.
[02:31:40] Speaker C: Okay, cool.
[02:31:41] Speaker F: Sorry, my mistake.
[02:31:44] Speaker A: So 15 plus 66 or 21 damage plus kick. Franz 46, 21 6. So 60, 67 points of damage between the two of you, and I can confidently say that is severe damage.
Cooper, describe to me what happens as the two of you like, jam your blades into either side of the neck and between them sever the spinal column.
[02:32:15] Speaker F: I think Cooper's quite surprised.
Like, yeah, like, like, like like, quite taken aback. Like, he. I don't think he's ever had killed anyone in this way before.
He was expecting to get his, like, blade in and then, like, step back because he's not usually this up front.
I think, like, he does stumble back a little bit once he removes the blade. And, like, a bit of a surprise.
Is that. Okay, point taken.
[02:32:49] Speaker A: And as the two of you sort of, like, appear alongside each other, sort of like.
Well, yeah, as you pull back the. The Berserker, like, the force of the two of you colliding into the Berserker kind of rocks him backwards over the side of the tiebreaker. And he also, like, rings out as he rolls off the side of the raffle blades, metal hull down below and kick. Fran turns his attention to you with this blood slicking rapier. And this isn't over, he says. Like, he rasps at you.
And I think, yeah, everyone.
Everyone apart maybe apart from Gardi saw the blind man teleport.
So with that in mind, who wants to go next?
[02:33:40] Speaker B: I can do that
[02:33:43] Speaker A: all the time.
[02:33:44] Speaker C: Yeah.
[02:33:49] Speaker A: Okay. Well, it looks very much like upstairs, like, the. The. The deck that you're on has been cleared, but you can hear that there is still combat happening down below.
So Griffin, you're by some stairs. Alternatively, if you want to counterboard, you can leap down from where you are onto the wrathful blade, like, in the same way to, like, you can see.
You can see Guardi the murder pig, like, splashing just off the.
Off the. The side of it. But, yeah, you can counterboard at this point if you want to.
[02:34:27] Speaker C: Can I run past Cooper first? Yes, I will run past Cooper first and go, oh, that was brilliant. And I will give you inspirational words to hopefully just clear a stress.
[02:34:47] Speaker F: That's very useful. Thank you.
[02:34:50] Speaker C: Where is it? Inspirational word.
[02:34:51] Speaker E: There we go.
Come on.
[02:34:53] Speaker F: Thank you very much.
[02:34:56] Speaker C: Oh, why are you not doing this?
No, send a chat. Thank you.
[02:35:02] Speaker A: There you go.
[02:35:04] Speaker C: Clear a stressier there.
Yeah, I will, I will. Then I will hop onto the boat.
[02:35:11] Speaker A: Okay.
And did you want to hold on to initiative or.
[02:35:19] Speaker C: I can't see anyone.
[02:35:20] Speaker A: Can I not?
Let's say, well, you can see Guardi paddling off.
You can hear, like, so immediately behind you, like, through the splintered wood, you can, like, hear that there is a savage sounding fight happening, like, in the bow in the belly of the tiebreaker.
So.
But yeah, in front of you, you.
You can't quite see who's, like, further down below.
[02:35:50] Speaker C: Okay, I will say then, before I jump down, I'll also Cast parallela on Cooper as well.
[02:36:00] Speaker A: Okay, so if you roll that up,
[02:36:04] Speaker C: which one are you on again? You're on this book.
[02:36:06] Speaker E: There we go.
[02:36:11] Speaker C: Oh, I need to spend two hope. And I've only got one. Sorry, can't do that.
[02:36:17] Speaker E: Sorry.
[02:36:17] Speaker F: Okay, don't worry.
[02:36:19] Speaker C: Thank you.
[02:36:21] Speaker A: Right.
Who is that? Griffin's done. Yeah, that would be Griffin done for now. Okay, I will spend a fear 2.
I'm gonna spend fear and yeah, lots of very, very sad sounding pirates as I'm gonna activate the Berserker in the, like in the lower deck of the tiebreaker. And he's gonna do some whoppy boppy stabbing, choppy.
That is a hit. And he's going to
[02:37:11] Speaker F: shred
[02:37:15] Speaker A: 31 points of damage into some of the crew, which I believe is 31 just under. Okay, so yeah, a full six pirates are shredded under the the attacks of the Berserker.
Then I will.
I will spotlight again.
So spend another fear.
And the leader of this assault uses an ability inevitable death to spotlight a number of allies. And you can hear the sound of the combat beneath, like surge as the Marauders so. Well, as the Marauders kick up a gear.
Okay, cool. Right, well, you can go there, you can go there, you can go there.
You're all on the ship. And then he's gonna swing some more.
He.
Oh, he misses that time. So the Berserker misses a second time.
I love. I love just rolling dice against myself.
They hit.
So that is so you're gonna say, how are they looking? They're looking 14.
Not great. So more dead.
Okay, while I'm doing this, because I'm gonna be here a little while. Who wants to take the next turn?
[02:39:06] Speaker E: Can I see like, any.
Any way back up? So is there like a net I can scramble on or maybe the hole in the ship? Can I get into the lower fight from down here?
[02:39:20] Speaker A: There are definitely sort of like certainly on the Tidebreaker, less so on the Wrathful Blade, because it's like a. An assault vessel, if you will. But yeah, you could certainly clamber up onto the tiebreaker at and like get in through one of the cannon holes, for example.
[02:39:39] Speaker E: Yeah, that sounds good.
[02:39:42] Speaker A: Okay, so you.
Okay, I will ask for an agility check in this moment.
[02:39:49] Speaker E: Oh, no.
Cool.
Agility, Agility. Where is it?
[02:40:05] Speaker A: 19 with I, 19 with Hope. Absolutely fine. So you gain a hope and you're able to climb in. And like, if you want to hold initiative, you. If you want to hold the spotlight, you can because you've rolled with hope. But before you do that, just as you arrive, I'm gonna polish off 18.
[02:40:27] Speaker D: Yeah.
[02:40:28] Speaker A: One more pirate crew shredded. So as you climb into the like into the lower deck of the Tiebreaker, you see like a quite, quite a chaotic scene.
There are a number of Draven marauders, like intermingled with pirate crew. There are bodies littered everywhere.
And at the heart, at the head of the assault, you see a heavily armored Berserker similar to the one that you saw like, up, up on the deck of this ship.
It is clear that the pirates are losing this battle against the Marauders. But it is your turn still. What do you want to do?
[02:41:19] Speaker E: Oh, can I safely skirt around to where the Berserker is without being stabbed by 100 pirates?
[02:41:25] Speaker A: You can. Absolutely.
[02:41:27] Speaker E: Lovely.
[02:41:30] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:41:31] Speaker E: I'm gonna start mauling.
[02:41:33] Speaker C: Okay.
[02:41:34] Speaker A: Into the Berserker specifically.
[02:41:36] Speaker E: Let's see, how does this work?
Attack the Berserker.
[02:41:43] Speaker D: Ah.
[02:41:49] Speaker E: Oh no.
[02:41:51] Speaker D: You've got a rally dice.
[02:41:52] Speaker E: Yeah, I've got a rally dice.
[02:41:54] Speaker A: You've got the rally dice.
[02:41:56] Speaker D: What.
[02:41:57] Speaker E: What does it these days?
Come on, rally dice.
[02:42:05] Speaker D: Nice.
[02:42:07] Speaker E: 17 hope.
[02:42:08] Speaker A: A 17 with hope. Burn me two sex. Just reloading. 17 with hope is a hit, sir.
[02:42:14] Speaker E: Lovely. I will spend a hope to make him temporarily vulnerable and gain a plus one bonus to my proficiency for this attack.
[02:42:21] Speaker A: Oh, okay.
[02:42:23] Speaker E: Vicious maul him.
[02:42:26] Speaker A: So vulnerability means people get advantage on him going forward.
[02:42:31] Speaker E: Here I go. Mauling.
27 damages, please.
[02:42:39] Speaker A: 27 damages.
27 of your finest damages is major damage. That is two hit points as you barrel into the Berserker. And small, savagely marvelous. Did you want to keep going guardi or pass over the spotlight now?
[02:42:58] Speaker E: I'm good, so I'll pass it over for now.
[02:43:00] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:43:01] Speaker E: Some more boys.
[02:43:03] Speaker A: I will, I will spend a hope. Let's spend hope, spend a fear. And.
As you begin mauling this Berserker and sort of like your. Your teeth are kind of piercing through his like cobbled together metal armor.
You watch as a.
Like a miasmic shroud falls over the Berserker as a another blood mage shrouds the Berserker in this protective field. So spends a stress to give the Berserker resistance to all damage.
[02:43:58] Speaker E: Oh, he's asking to go for a swim.
[02:44:00] Speaker D: Yeah, in the sea.
[02:44:03] Speaker B: I. I think he really wants it.
[02:44:07] Speaker A: Yeah. So this mage like funnels energies into the Berserker. We're thinking the medic from Team Fortress 2 sty.
And the Berserker is to going kind of wreathed in this crimson glow as.
Yeah. As the. The mage protects them. That's me done. Who wants to go next?
[02:44:27] Speaker D: How does one get downstairs?
[02:44:30] Speaker A: One gets downstairs via the. There are stairs immediately below.
[02:44:37] Speaker D: Ah, they were underneath the pine.
[02:44:39] Speaker A: Do you. Would you like to go downstairs?
[02:44:41] Speaker D: I would like to go. Go downstairs.
[02:44:43] Speaker A: We'd like to go downstairs. Would everyone else like to go downstairs?
[02:44:47] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:44:47] Speaker A: That's okay.
If everyone could ever. Well, apart from Griffin, because you've left off the deck.
[02:44:52] Speaker C: Oh, yeah.
[02:44:54] Speaker A: So you and Abe. And if you roll me agility rolls, that'll tell me how well you've made it downstairs.
Yeah.
The risk of slipping down the stage stairs is a thing
[02:45:11] Speaker B: straight into the pirates.
[02:45:13] Speaker F: Oh, sorry. Reactions rolls night.
[02:45:15] Speaker A: That's right. That's right.
No, no, no. These are full blown rolls.
[02:45:20] Speaker D: Oh.
Oh. That means I have to do mine again. That's.
[02:45:33] Speaker F: Oh.
[02:45:35] Speaker C: Are you.
[02:45:36] Speaker E: Are you close enough to be intimidated by Angrena for this or at this
[02:45:41] Speaker A: point, not quite
[02:45:44] Speaker D: with me.
[02:45:45] Speaker A: So Cooper, you strap him on your back.
You have successfully made it down. Okay, when I say you made it down. Okay, like you've made it down and like you're already kind of in the action.
But Cass and Abe, you are like off. You're on your back foot. As you arrive in this theater of carnage, I will activate the.
So the Berserker Emboldened is going to.
I'm gonna activate the Berserker. It lashes out into Guardi.
Does an eight hit.
[02:46:35] Speaker E: It doesn't.
[02:46:36] Speaker A: It does not. Okay.
In which case, yeah, the. The Berserkers swings.
Swings wildly at you, but you managed to duck out the way.
We pass back to players. Who wants to.
Well, what's Griffin doing?
[02:46:54] Speaker C: What am I doing?
[02:46:55] Speaker A: What are you doing? Griffin? You're with Kick Fran.
[02:46:58] Speaker C: I am with Kick Fran with my new best friend. Now
[02:47:03] Speaker A: Kickfront's just jumped down. We'll also have Grinner start to run down to the bottom deck. It's going to take him a little while to get there though.
[02:47:11] Speaker C: Oh, Me and Kick Fran are going to run up this boat. We're going to see what's. If there's anything more happening.
[02:47:21] Speaker A: Okay.
In which case, as you move up the ship, I'll move Kick Fran.
[02:47:28] Speaker F: You.
[02:47:29] Speaker A: When you get to the far end, you can see down onto the lower deck. You notice that, yeah, there are a number of pirate raiders that are staying behind as like a rear guard seemingly protecting this floating rogue spear holding figure.
[02:47:47] Speaker D: Were.
[02:47:48] Speaker A: If you want to give me a knowledge role, we'll see if you recognize his importance.
[02:47:57] Speaker C: Give it A go.
[02:48:00] Speaker F: Could.
[02:48:01] Speaker C: Could I would my lawborne community thing had give me advantage on it?
[02:48:06] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely. Yeah.
26 of fear. Well, it's just 26 could be a reaction check.
So, yeah, you absolutely recognize again, the mask is that of an adherent of Ulavari, but in a vertical commas. Ulavari is one of the good guys. Question mark. Well, he is one of. They are. Sorry. One of the good guys. Two of the good guys, really? Because Ulavari is a twin God.
So to see a fallen like, cleric, a fallen priest of Ulavari on this ship that belongs to Exo is curious.
But yeah, you're you. You know, based off the Regalia, unless they. This. This Graven Seer has changed their ways. You can expect necromancy and healing.
Literally life and death.
[02:49:08] Speaker C: Oh, that's nice. Gotta do a fireball.
[02:49:10] Speaker A: Okay,
[02:49:14] Speaker F: everyone else is not hearing it. I can burn the map.
[02:49:19] Speaker C: Come on, character sheet. You know you want to come up.
[02:49:22] Speaker A: There we go.
Sorry, just having a think.
[02:49:41] Speaker C: Could I. Could I spend my hope to use my knowledge of arcane magic to bump it up a bit?
[02:49:47] Speaker A: You can.
Cool.
Okay, so on success.
[02:49:57] Speaker C: Oh, I can use my rally dice.
[02:49:59] Speaker A: Okay, 14 fear or nice. 21 with fear.
Okay, 21 with fear hits everyone.
[02:50:12] Speaker C: Yes.
So you all of your boys have. Have to do a reaction roll.
[02:50:18] Speaker A: Reaction 13. Okay, so number orders will collectively all dive into the Fireball and the Graven Seer.
Oh, you know what? I'm gonna spend a fear.
I'm gonna use an experience of my own to.
Oh, wait, hang on. I'll do it like that.
I do like that.
Well, I've rolled a 7 regardless. So perhaps this is the death that the Graven Seer has foresaw foreseen for themselves.
So they will take 33 points of damage.
Okay, that is severe damage for the Marauders.
So a good nine of them are incinerated by your blast.
And The Graven Seer.33, was it. That is major damage to the Graven Seer as the fireball rips through their number.
Cool. I will update that in a sec because it's not working.
[02:51:40] Speaker F: Cool.
[02:51:40] Speaker A: Very good, Griffin. Anything else?
[02:51:45] Speaker C: No. Oh, good.
[02:51:46] Speaker A: Thank you. Okay, shall we pass to Abe, Cass or Cooper?
Let's pass to Cooper, actually, because you made it down the stairs quickly.
[02:51:59] Speaker F: I did make it down the stairs before everybody else.
[02:52:01] Speaker B: Technically, we're still bumbling along.
[02:52:03] Speaker D: We're still rolling down y.
[02:52:06] Speaker F: How. How Savaged does. So we've got the mage, right? And we've got the Berserker. As like the biggest threats in the room.
[02:52:13] Speaker A: Yes. Seems so.
[02:52:15] Speaker F: Can I crossbow the mage please?
[02:52:21] Speaker A: You can. You can.
Cool.
[02:52:24] Speaker F: I'd like to do that very much.
And I've got to hope. Do I spend any of my hope. Do I save it trying? I think I may.
[02:52:37] Speaker D: I'm gonna.
[02:52:38] Speaker F: I'm gonna do excellent aim. I'll spend a hope.
[02:52:41] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:52:41] Speaker F: On excellent name and we'll see if that hits because I'm 19 with hope hit. Then.
[02:52:53] Speaker A: It does hit a 19.
[02:52:55] Speaker E: Yay.
[02:52:58] Speaker F: Technically, I. I mean in the rabble. Am I cloaked or am I not cloaked?
[02:53:03] Speaker A: You. There's a lot going on. There's a lot going on. I would say you are.
[02:53:07] Speaker F: Yes. I could argue usually no. But if there's a lot of people
[02:53:10] Speaker A: running around, there's just a lot of people fighting.
Fighting around you. So cool.
[02:53:16] Speaker F: So I revolution my normal roll.
12 points damage plus 3d6.
[02:53:27] Speaker A: Oh, that's a spicy roll.
27 points of damage into the mage. 27 is major damage. And the mage like staggers back a few steps as your bolt like thuds into them.
Sorry to. To damage there.
[02:53:48] Speaker F: I have a question.
[02:53:49] Speaker A: Yes, Daniel?
[02:53:50] Speaker F: So I have.
I'm sorry. So I have a.
A new domain card which is never upstaged.
So when I mark one or more hit points from an attack, I can mark a stress place a number of tokens equal to the number of hit points you marked on this card.
On my next successful attack, I can add a 5 plus bonus to your damage roll for each token on this card. So basically, depending on how many hit points you've removed from Meiji, I get to put that down on my AS3. Like for example, if you took three hit points, I believe that's how it works.
[02:54:35] Speaker A: I understand that when you take damage.
[02:54:39] Speaker D: Yeah. So if you get ah.
[02:54:41] Speaker F: When you are not upstate.
But it says when you mark one or more hit points from an attack or from me. Okay. I'm fine. Okay, cool. Just checking that. That's fine.
[02:54:51] Speaker C: Yay.
[02:54:53] Speaker F: Really badly. That's when I. That's when I go like.
[02:54:56] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. When you get your cheeks clapped, you clap cheeks even harder. Yeah.
[02:55:01] Speaker F: Okay. Sounds good.
[02:55:02] Speaker A: Sounds counterclasses.
[02:55:04] Speaker F: Nice.
[02:55:05] Speaker A: Okay. Very good.
[02:55:06] Speaker F: All right. All good then.
[02:55:07] Speaker A: Well, you could. Do you want to hold on? Do you want to keep going or do you want to pass on?
[02:55:12] Speaker F: I mean I could. I. I rolled with hope. I could. I could. I could fight him again.
[02:55:17] Speaker D: Yeah.
[02:55:20] Speaker F: And I know I gained a hope, but I'll probably just spend the same hope again and do exactly the same thing.
[02:55:26] Speaker A: One Bolt sticking out the left peck.
[02:55:29] Speaker F: And then I shoot the other pack with a 20 with Hope. Oh, that's.
[02:55:36] Speaker A: You do shoot the other pack with a 20 with hope.
[02:55:40] Speaker F: Roll damage. And again it's.
Oh, I can have 3D6 in here. 3D.
I think I can do that.
No, can't do that. That's
[02:55:52] Speaker A: 3D6 12 plus. So 20 is major damage. So Cooper, as you come down, you don't need no parallela. You don't need no gripping, no way too. That's free in. In like fluid motion. You come down the stairs, you fire a bomb bolt. And then before the bolts even clear the end of the crossbow, you're already racking like you're racking the next bolt.
And like in a. In a matter of moments, this mage takes two.
Two bolts to the chest. Rocks one way, rocks the other. Looks down, sort of like grabs the bolts in an attempt to pull them out, and then just tips backwards. Lungs punctured.
[02:56:41] Speaker F: It feels very Legolasque.
[02:56:43] Speaker E: Yeah, I was gonna say you starting with skills.
[02:56:46] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah.
[02:56:47] Speaker B: And as wasn't even there to see it.
[02:56:51] Speaker F: Yes, she was. She's right behind me.
[02:56:54] Speaker E: He's too busy going off over tit
[02:56:56] Speaker A: down the stairs as. As the mage. As this mage kind of tips backwards and the like collapses. The last ragged breath escaping their lungs.
[02:57:08] Speaker D: The.
[02:57:08] Speaker A: The crimson beam that sort of like projecting towards the Berserker dissipates, removing its resistance to damage. The Berserker is now as vulnerable as it will ever be.
Very good. Would you like to. You want to roll? Do you want to keep going?
[02:57:26] Speaker F: No, no, let's pass it on. Let's pass it on.
[02:57:28] Speaker A: I'm not.
We can. We can pass on to Abe and Cass.
[02:57:33] Speaker D: Yeah, I mean, I'm more than happy to hit a Berserker.
[02:57:36] Speaker A: Okay.
Hey, you. I mean, you. You push Cooper out the way to show people how it's done.
[02:57:45] Speaker D: That's nice, dear, but
[02:57:49] Speaker C: I'll let the grown ups play.
[02:57:53] Speaker D: Big boy. Big boy reaction. Yeah, so it's what people want to see
[02:58:00] Speaker E: on his ass under the dripping pig beast.
[02:58:04] Speaker A: Yeah, there is you. You are causing a. A quite a sandwich here between you, the berserker and Guardi in his.
[02:58:13] Speaker D: He wouldn't want it any other way, would he?
[02:58:15] Speaker A: Murder pig for. Yes.
[02:58:16] Speaker D: I mean, two big boys.
Boy in between.
Right.
[02:58:24] Speaker A: So what do you.
[02:58:25] Speaker D: I'm going to roll my.
[02:58:30] Speaker B: I'm gonna.
[02:58:35] Speaker A: Oh, say that all again. You're a bit far from the mic.
[02:58:37] Speaker D: Oh, sorry. I'm going to attack with. Yeah, reliable. But I'm going to add stress.
Okay.
16 eight twice.
[02:58:50] Speaker A: 16. Yes, yes. Okay. 16 damage. Okay. Okay.
[02:58:57] Speaker D: And I will use my last.
Plus 32.plus 18.plus 32 for my crit.
Yes.plus 18.
[02:59:29] Speaker A: Yes.
What is this
[02:59:38] Speaker D: plus a brutal dice
[02:59:40] Speaker A: plus and brutal 72.7two damage.
[02:59:46] Speaker D: That's that looking at Griff at Cooper the hot.
[02:59:51] Speaker A: Okay, so what is this? What does this crit look like as you come barreling in?
[02:59:58] Speaker F: This just me just like really?
[03:00:00] Speaker C: Cuz Ab hasn't got any more stress anymore.
[03:00:02] Speaker D: Yeah, he stress.
I like to think he's just running in like a.
Just like.
I think he's just taking inspiration from this big war pig. And he's running in like a bull.
Just absolutely just. There's raiders, marauders, pirates, crew members, everyone just getting flung all over the place as he just rammed himself straight in and then just down onto this berserker.
[03:00:41] Speaker A: So you swing your ax in a vicious arc over your head and your aim is true. And you watch as your ax like cleaves through the horned helm of the Berserker. And you feel it impact into like skull and the like you lodging the ax and then pulling it free is enough force that it wrenches the. The helmet almost pretty much in two. And the helmet falls away from the Berserker's head and you are presented with this.
It look, well, this face of horror. The. The skin looks sallow and like.
Well sallow and dead and dry. It looks as if his skin has been pulled back across his features in a taut grimace of death.
He has no lips, he just has exposed muscle around sharpened fangs. And there is a glassy look in the Berserker's eyes.
His eyes like eye sockets surrounded by what appear to be like scar carved tattoos now mingling with the torrent of blood that's seeping across his face from your axe wound. And as you pull your. Your axe away from this clearly killing blow, the Berserker turns to look to you with its exposed teeth.
That is mage. That is severe damage.
And he's still up, still going.
Still the zombies still going.
Yes, this Berserker looks saucy. You can gain a hope and clear a stress. I will spend another fear to activate the the Graven Seer who will once again.
Oh well actually there's a countdown that begins which is a D6, so I'm gonna count that.
When it triggers move grace. Oh okay.
So the Graven. Seeing it, the Graven Seer is joining the fight with a. An approach of death. Countdown. But it's then also going to channel some inevitable death to activate three allies.
So these three allies will.
So the defenders, the ones that are left post fireball, surge forward and up the stairs they come to join Griffin and kick Fran and Griffin. They're going to leap towards you and swing with their reaping weapons.
Does a 12 hit?
No.
Oh, okay. So they mit like you. You manage to sort like dark and dive and parry their blows. But yeah, they are kind of tangling with you. So that's one of the activations.
Separately. Then I will activate the Berserker.
Would I activate Berserker? I will activate one of the Pirate Raiders to surge forward to get Cooper.
[03:04:42] Speaker E: I would mention if you activate the Berserker, you could get him up to cancel out the vulnerability.
[03:04:51] Speaker A: Oh.
[03:04:52] Speaker C: Oh, he doesn't care about that.
[03:04:54] Speaker E: Legend absolute legends.
[03:04:58] Speaker A: 21 to hit against Cooper.
[03:05:01] Speaker F: Oh, God. Yeah. That hits.
[03:05:03] Speaker A: That's a hit.
That is.
There's not as many marauders, but that is still 15 damage to Cooper.
[03:05:15] Speaker F: Okay, 15 damage to me. That's minor damage. So I take no damage.
[03:05:23] Speaker A: One damage. If you spend. If you spend armor, it'll drop it down to zero.
[03:05:27] Speaker F: Yeah, yeah. Let's go. Let's do one armor slot. Let's go.
[03:05:30] Speaker A: Okay, so you do not mark any damage. So I will. Instead, the large group of Pirate raiders next to Guardi are going to swing into Guardi.
Oh, that's a five to hit. I assume that's not going to hit.
[03:05:52] Speaker E: It isn't.
[03:05:53] Speaker A: Okay.
And that is me done. So who wants to step in next?
Go, Casco.
[03:06:05] Speaker B: She is going to mark two more stress.
[03:06:08] Speaker F: Okay.
[03:06:09] Speaker B: And she's going to do another chain lightning.
[03:06:12] Speaker A: Oh, no.
[03:06:16] Speaker B: In this little room that they have
[03:06:18] Speaker A: entered, this highly packed little room with lots of people wearing metal armor. Yes. Go on.
[03:06:26] Speaker B: Let me just remind myself.
So, yeah, it's just a normal.
[03:06:34] Speaker A: So, yeah, so it's roll a swell cast and then have you got any hope? You've got no hope.
[03:06:38] Speaker B: Okay.
[03:06:41] Speaker A: Raw Dog, the roll.
[03:06:44] Speaker B: Just trying to remember. I should remember this. Oh, it is okay. No, I. I checked. I was correct.
[03:06:52] Speaker A: You're daleking a little bit as well, by the way.
[03:06:56] Speaker F: No, no,
[03:07:01] Speaker E: I think it might be the connection.
[03:07:04] Speaker A: Well, 23 with fear is. Oh, that's better. 23 with fear is a hit. So I mark up a fear, but that is a hit. So then what do we. What do we do?
[03:07:18] Speaker B: Whoever gets hit, whoever's near them also gets hit. If anyone near them also gets hit, it's chained until there's no one left.
[03:07:26] Speaker A: Okay, yes.
[03:07:27] Speaker D: There's no one left in the world.
[03:07:31] Speaker A: Out of curiosity.
Okay, no. Doesn't reach the Graveyard Singer, but it will hit every single enemy in this room. So. Right, we're gonna zoom in so I can figure this out.
[03:07:48] Speaker B: It's probably not good with tiny groups of. Lots of enemies.
[03:07:54] Speaker A: This is. This is what we're here for. This is what we are here for. Right, so there's six marauders immediately in front of you.
None of them can pass, I don't think, because you've rolled a 23, right?
[03:08:08] Speaker B: Yeah.
[03:08:09] Speaker A: So. Right. These are raw dog in the 20s, so all of the Reavers get zapped. The Berserker rolls a four. Okay.
Yeah. Okay, you've got every single one of them. So roll damage.
[03:08:29] Speaker B: Just marking my stress.
[03:08:48] Speaker A: Nine. Okay, so your lightning arcs through. And so they are. They were on tweet, so they. Okay, so the Marauders in front of you, zap, three go down. The ones immediately behind them, zap, three more go down.
The 12 next to guard, zap three go down. And the ones surrounding Abe, they are at half strength. So zap, three more go down. So.
And then the Berserker, that's minor damage for him, so he takes a hit point as well. Okay, so the Berserker, like they were all the Marauders, rule just as the art lightning arcs between them. And, yeah, a good like 12 hit the deck as their little eyeballs burst inside their helmets.
Do you want to keep going, Cass?
[03:09:57] Speaker B: No, I think that's good. I am so low. I have all the stress.
[03:10:01] Speaker F: No hope just to pause. We've just had a moment of like, Cooper thought he did really well killing the mage.
Like, Ava's come in and gone. I've got this. And just battered the Berserker. And then Cass is like, hold my beer. Sends 12 people.
[03:10:25] Speaker A: Beautiful.
[03:10:26] Speaker E: Oinks.
[03:10:27] Speaker A: Amazing.
Okay, who wants to go next?
[03:10:34] Speaker E: Can I stamp on this Berserker's face, please?
[03:10:36] Speaker A: You can.
You can but try, sir.
[03:10:40] Speaker E: Thank you.
[03:10:48] Speaker A: Oh, That's a spicy dicey 22 with fear.
22 fear. That is a hit.
[03:10:56] Speaker E: Stompy, stompy.
24.
[03:11:02] Speaker A: 24 is exactly major damage. That is two damage. And as this Berserker is convulsing from the lightning arc in between it. Talk me through what? What gets stomped.
[03:11:18] Speaker E: I just rear up to my full height on my back legs.
[03:11:21] Speaker A: And
[03:11:24] Speaker E: where his helmet's been taken off by Abe, I just bring my front hooves down on the remainders of his head.
[03:11:31] Speaker A: And it breaks like a rotten egg.
And it smells like one as well.
The Berserker is slain.
Very good, Garda. You have rolled with fear so well. First things first, I will say say that I have just not been keeping up to date with the crew. The pirate crew attacking and I think so realistically let's bump off cuz these raiders have got one hit point each. One hit point left. They've got one p. So all of the, all of the ones that got zapped by Cass then get swarmed by the remaining pirates.
Eliz pirates.
And so there's just like a couple of raiders left. So they're now down to half strength Boson like Grinner like steps in like amidst his pirates and looks to the the four of you and we've got this.
[03:12:33] Speaker D: He.
[03:12:33] Speaker A: He sort of like growls as he turns his attention. Well he sort of like points you in the direction of the enemy ship and up on like. Meanwhile the Graven Seer having seen.
Having distracted Griffin with some raiders is going to spend a fear and Griffin, you feel a chill run down your spine.
[03:13:10] Speaker E: Does this guy have any abilities that don't have death in them?
[03:13:13] Speaker D: Yeah,
[03:13:17] Speaker B: I'm sensing a theme.
[03:13:19] Speaker A: Yeah, you, you. You feel this sort of like this cold gaze of death. Death like fall upon you and the Graven Seer begins to float up towards
[03:13:38] Speaker D: you
[03:13:42] Speaker A: and whilst you're distracted.
So his approach of death ticks down to zero to four. He's going to.
Roll a seven to hit Griffin.
[03:14:05] Speaker C: No.
[03:14:06] Speaker A: Okay, so this blast of necrotic energy flies in your direction and it's shaped like a like twin screaming skulls and you managed to duck out the way of it. And the Graven singer like curses under his breath.
Who wants. What's Griffin do?
[03:14:29] Speaker C: I would like to.
I would like to play an epic song please to this boy to make him temporarily vulnerable.
[03:14:40] Speaker A: Okay, so the Graven Seer is now vulnerable.
Okay.
[03:14:45] Speaker C: Okay, let me see. Where is it? Gifted performer, epic song.
[03:14:53] Speaker A: Just like.
[03:14:53] Speaker E: Oh my God, this is my jam.
[03:14:56] Speaker A: Oh yeah.
[03:15:01] Speaker C: And while he's temporarily vulnerable, what can I do?
Not a lot.
Guess I can just smack him. Gonna smack him with my cutlass.
[03:15:11] Speaker A: Just smack him.
Okay, you. So you notice there is this sort like deathly miasma that's kind of building around the Graven Seer.
So the countdown is down to four. Okay.
[03:15:28] Speaker C: Where you can tell that I don't fight with weapons.
[03:15:31] Speaker A: It's like where is it?
There it is.
[03:15:41] Speaker C: Can kick from do anything or is he just hanging out?
[03:15:44] Speaker A: So if you. You could. You should be Able to open up Kick friends character sheet, double clicking him. And he's got a number of abilities, so he's got his tag team bonanza. It's like super crit.
If an enemy is made vulnerable.
If an enemy is made vulnerable, Kick Fan immediately takes a spotlight to attack that target.
[03:16:07] Speaker C: Yeah. Do it.
[03:16:08] Speaker D: Do it.
[03:16:09] Speaker A: So Kick Fran uses his won't see it coming ability and Griffin like, as you sort of like duck out the way of this blast and then play your song to make the to distract the Graven Seer behind you, you hear?
And then a moment later, a second as Kick Fran like, materializes in a puff of like, black wispy smoke over the Graven Seer and comes down with his rapier 13. But the graven singer sees it and parries Kick Fran's blow and kickfront just sort of like hovers in midair for a second before disappearing. Like teleporting a second time and reappearing by your side.
[03:16:59] Speaker C: Very useless.
[03:17:00] Speaker E: Oh, did Kiggles have his advantage there as well
[03:17:06] Speaker A: for vulnerability?
Still, Abyss 16.
[03:17:13] Speaker C: Can kick Fran have a rally dice as well?
[03:17:17] Speaker A: Is Kick Fran an ally?
[03:17:20] Speaker C: Well, he is helping us at the moment.
[03:17:24] Speaker F: Moment he's not in the future, he may not be an ally, but right now.
[03:17:28] Speaker A: Okay, so actually then it's a 20 to hit. If he uses the rally dice of
[03:17:33] Speaker C: a plus four earlier,
[03:17:38] Speaker A: that is a hit. And Kick Fran deals.
17 damage to the Graven Seer, which is minor damage.
So the grave is here as he gets nicked by the the rapier before Kick Fran teleports away and. Yeah, reappears next to you. Cool.
[03:18:02] Speaker C: I will then also do an attack with my cutlass then.
[03:18:05] Speaker A: Okay. On.
[03:18:06] Speaker C: On him.
21 with hope.
[03:18:14] Speaker A: It's those.
21 with hope is a hit.
[03:18:23] Speaker C: 16.
[03:18:25] Speaker A: 16 is minor damage. So that's another point as you like Nick at the grave and Singer on his other side.
Very, very good. So that was Griffin's turn. And do you want to keep going with this little drool or pass on?
[03:18:45] Speaker C: Well, I'll give him another twat then.
[03:18:47] Speaker A: Okay.
[03:18:48] Speaker D: I can be rude not to. Why you here
[03:18:55] Speaker B: come all this way? You know, it's a crit.
[03:18:59] Speaker A: That's a crit. That's a crit.
[03:19:02] Speaker F: Those lessons that Koopa have been giving you have finally paid off.
[03:19:05] Speaker C: They have indeed.38.
[03:19:10] Speaker F: Nice.
[03:19:13] Speaker A: Okay, so knocked off balance by your and Kickfran's initial attacks as you surge in, where do you strike him? Critically?
[03:19:21] Speaker C: Right in the neck.
[03:19:23] Speaker A: Okay. And you like you cut across his neck. He manages to move slightly out of the way. But it's still a deep cut. 38 damage is major damage. She takes two more.
[03:19:36] Speaker E: What's he made of?
[03:19:39] Speaker A: And as the graven seer sort of like floats backwards. I will go ahead. So take your hope and your clear stress. I will spend the fear.
The approach of death ticks down to three.
And the he looks to you and like clutching his neck, he. You're too late.
He sort of like rasps with this smile that creeps out either side of the central prong of the clawed mask as he flies a blast in your direction. The 11 to hit.
Okay, so you managed to duck out the way of that as he sort of like floats. Floats away slightly.
Our lord has already ascended.
Who wants to go next?
[03:20:34] Speaker D: Are we?
I just ran downstairs.
[03:20:38] Speaker F: Oh, turn around upstairs.
[03:20:42] Speaker E: Getting way up through their ship as well.
[03:20:46] Speaker A: So you can see that there is a. An open door a bit further down on their ship. If you want to like. So agility rolls if you want to get there in one turn. Fundamentally.
[03:20:56] Speaker B: Yeah.
[03:20:57] Speaker F: Let's go.
[03:21:00] Speaker A: Well, who's. Who's doing the runs first? Because I'll do this in order. So Cooper crit.
[03:21:06] Speaker F: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[03:21:07] Speaker A: Cooper rolls a crit. So you.
You fly through into the kind of main deck area. And.
Yeah, you can see that. Well, you can hear that immediately. Sort of like above you and behind you there is some sort of like battle going on.
Gain. Hope to stress.
[03:21:33] Speaker C: Yeah.
[03:21:37] Speaker A: Do you want to maintain spotlight?
[03:21:42] Speaker F: Yeah, okay, yeah, I'll do that. I'll. I'll help out.
Unless the battle's going on, I'll come out to help Griffin and Kiffran.
[03:21:51] Speaker A: Okay, so the. The.
The stairs are just swiped to your side here.
[03:22:01] Speaker F: I think I can see them.
[03:22:03] Speaker A: So if I teleport you up?
[03:22:05] Speaker F: Yes, please. Thank you.
[03:22:10] Speaker A: So you. You effectively barrel into the back of this floating priest.
[03:22:17] Speaker F: Well, okay.
Yeah.
[03:22:20] Speaker D: He.
[03:22:20] Speaker F: He'll see like the. The chaos going on. He'd like to shoot his crossbow at the grave. Seeker.
[03:22:27] Speaker A: Okay. Point blank crossbow to the gut.
[03:22:29] Speaker F: Yeah, let's.
And I'd like to add excellent aim, please.
[03:22:36] Speaker A: Okay. Okay.
[03:22:38] Speaker E: And advantage if he's still vulnerable, I believe.
Not that you need it.
[03:22:43] Speaker A: Oh, it's another crit.
Ridiculous. You lot have had enough.
[03:22:54] Speaker F: I'm so happy right now. I was just saying I don't think I've ever quit and I just quit trying.
Right, Roll damage then. I don't think that's attack. I will.
[03:23:04] Speaker A: He has. You have allies in melee.
[03:23:07] Speaker F: Oh, yeah. Okay. Sneak damage it is.
[03:23:11] Speaker A: Griffin waves at you.
[03:23:12] Speaker F: Thank you.
And then My sneak attack on top.
[03:23:22] Speaker A: So the damage is already souped up. So 36.
You need to roll me another.
Oh, no. So it's 36 plus 13, so that's 49 plus 1849.
Let's say 1849, 59, 69, 67. 67 points of damage.
[03:23:48] Speaker D: Not quite as good as apes.
[03:23:50] Speaker F: No, it's fair.
Cooper knows where he stands. He's not usually the correct guy.
[03:23:56] Speaker A: Okay, so in which case, as Griffin and the Graven Seer are, like, embroiled in this sort of, like, draw Cooper, as you like, just in the blink of an eye, you sprint through Exo's ship. You, like, as you emerge out onto the deck, like, you just naturally know that there's fighting happening above. So you managed to skid, turn on the spot and sort of, like, up the stairs and as you sort of, like, approach from this Graven Seer from behind. And the Graven CER turns to look at you, and then he.
[03:24:33] Speaker D: You.
[03:24:34] Speaker A: He says, as you have your crossbow in Graven Singer's gut, talk me through how this happens.
[03:24:44] Speaker F: Hiya.
It's like, I feel like.
Yeah, I think obviously, having heard the battle from above, you can see that it's just Griffin on his own up here. So he's concerned, you know, so he comes up bottom, the gut just literally just fires right into this gut at close range.
[03:25:05] Speaker A: Okay.
In which case, Griffin, you watch. Watch as the Graven Seer's cloak billows out.
Like you. Like, there's a moment of stillness, and then you hear a.
Like a mechanical click.
And you watch as the cloak billows out as this bolt pierces clean through the frail, like, elderly LaRoval's torso and bursts out of his back to then fly embed into the side of the Tidebringer, the tiebreaker behind you.
And the Graven Seer, like, stops and, like the miasmic power surging around him just.
Just drops away and he's. He's still for a moment and then slowly lowers down until his feet touch the deck. And as he looks up,
[03:26:07] Speaker E: I always
[03:26:08] Speaker A: knew it would be you, he says as he teeters backwards and collapses to the deck of the ship.
And with that, Exo's crew are routed, and the. The wrathful blade is yours.
Congratulations, everyone, on completing episode 16.
You have and gone done it. So congratulations.
We'll leave the combat music on, but a little bit quieter.
So, yes, you have successfully scuttled the enemy ship. The ship is yours. There is a large hole in the Tide Breaker, but we will figure that out. We've got a new ship now in the next episode. Yes, exactly, exactly, exactly.
So, yes, if you.
Tell you what, tell you what, I'll.
Because we've gone on a little bit later than usual, actually, I won't have the music on. I'll just go straight to the outro music. So, Steve Bum, if you've enjoyed this, make sure to hit the like button. If you're watching us on YouTube, hi.
