[00:00:00] Speaker A: Previously on Alicia Rising. Even as far as the Duskland ivory border, it seems that these large vines have caught the attention of everyone you pass. [00:00:14] Speaker B: There's no need for weaponry, man. We already have heard how you're the most dangerous criminal in the city. Something to do with your tunneling expeditions underneath the prison. [00:00:25] Speaker A: I heard I troubling whispers from Rookridge. May he find peace in the ever after. [00:00:34] Speaker B: That's your domain more than mine. [00:00:36] Speaker A: You see her eyes kind of glance past you, looking out the front door at this kind of cage over bell tower. If you feel any sense of companionship to others of your affliction, I would suggest that you displace them, much as you did a certain masto van. [00:00:57] Speaker C: Well, that was an ominous at all. [00:01:05] Speaker A: Welcome to Elysia, the jewel of the north. [00:01:10] Speaker D: On our gilded streets, fortune and fame can be found by anyone. Hi, I'm Julia, and I'm playing Magpie, an ace of our lurk. [00:01:22] Speaker E: Hi, I'm Nate, and I'm playing cavern, a dragon sent slide. [00:01:27] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Meg. I'm playing Frieda, a wolfkin cutter. [00:01:32] Speaker B: Hi, I'm JC, and I'll be playing Algernon, an ace of our spider. [00:01:37] Speaker F: Hello, I'm Erol. I am playing Atta, a goblin whisper. [00:01:42] Speaker A: And my name is DM Dan. I will be the games master on this adventure. [00:01:48] Speaker D: So come on in and marvel at our wonders. Make sure you see the beautiful views. [00:01:54] Speaker A: We have to offer. [00:01:55] Speaker D: And don't mind the ghosts. [00:01:57] Speaker A: They're friendly, really. [00:01:59] Speaker D: Grab yourselves a seat and make yourselves welcome in the city of Elysia. [00:02:10] Speaker A: Hello, and welcome back to explorers of elsewhere's Elysia rising campaign. Hi, I'm DM Dan, and I am joined by these five incredulous beings. [00:02:24] Speaker C: Wait, five? [00:02:25] Speaker D: Is that the word you're looking for? Incredulous? [00:02:28] Speaker A: Maybe. [00:02:28] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. There is five. [00:02:31] Speaker A: Yes, Meg, there are five of you. [00:02:35] Speaker C: I know, Matt. [00:02:38] Speaker A: We have. We are halfway through some downtime, some stuff and things has happened. The crew is supercharged. The you lot are supercharged. You've got some new people. You, baby, you're now, you will soon to be tier two. Yes, everything's. Everything's on the up. You're stamping and making a name. You still don't have a name for your gang, but I'm sure we'll figure that out. [00:03:07] Speaker D: Some Albany angels. [00:03:09] Speaker C: Sorry, alkaline angels. [00:03:14] Speaker A: Well, I suppose that's. That's prudent now, given that you're wanted people. So let's crash straight into the actual downtimey bits. Let's start with looking on my screen. Atta, what is downtime activity one? [00:03:34] Speaker F: Downtime activity one. Reduce some of this stress, please. [00:03:39] Speaker A: How are you doing? [00:03:40] Speaker F: So I think Atta's going to be spending time as much as kind of seems tolerable with, like, Tavareen and the other ghosts and kind of fine tuning the how we speak to ghosts. [00:03:54] Speaker A: Okay. [00:03:55] Speaker F: And also that kind of research that she was doing about how to safely release ghosts back and not utilize them. [00:04:03] Speaker A: Okay. That sounds very atta. Um, roll them, bones. It will be a one dice, reduce stress. You are currently on seven, so. Yeah. Two dice on the left, an indulge. [00:04:17] Speaker F: Vice, and then I put a one in the seven. Seven. [00:04:24] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. So one dice, indulge vice, and then stress seven. [00:04:27] Speaker F: Yeah, stress seven by one dice, indulge by stress seven there. Okay. [00:04:38] Speaker A: All the way down to two. Okay. Very, very good. What is your second down time? So you're on two stress. I would. You're only one pip away from leveling up some insight, skill. You are still soul trained. [00:04:56] Speaker F: Yeah, I know, I know. I wanted to kind of investigate some of this crown stuff, but I don't know, is it possible to get healed in, like, a single downtime? I don't know whether it really is. [00:05:07] Speaker A: You could get. If. If the healer were to roll a crit, that would be all four squares, all four segments of your heal clock. [00:05:19] Speaker F: Maybe we. Maybe you should do training. Gives you two pips or one pip. [00:05:25] Speaker A: One. Unless it's prowess, because you have a. Because your smugglers, you have. Yeah. Training prowess gives you two. [00:05:35] Speaker F: Algie, would you really like to know what this crown is about? [00:05:43] Speaker B: I'd very much like to know what this crown is about. Yes, please. [00:05:46] Speaker D: Okay. [00:05:47] Speaker F: I will spend my second. I will do my uki spooky stuff. I'm going to try and figure out what this crown is about, how it functions, what it's connected to, any information of which may be useful. [00:06:03] Speaker A: Okay, how so? You know, we call this a project. It's not a long term project or a short term, but, yeah. How are you going about, uh, doing it? Where are you researching, etcetera. [00:06:17] Speaker F: Um, with the help of very unhelpful wizard orb. [00:06:24] Speaker A: Yep. [00:06:25] Speaker F: Um, who is not doing his best. He is. He is doing his best. And to be fair, you know, we've learned more than without him. You know what I mean? [00:06:39] Speaker C: He's so old. [00:06:42] Speaker F: He's so old. He's so old. I think if there. I don't know whether we establish whether there are any, like, public libraries, but, like, anything to do with, like, the any sort of information to do with the. Sorry, I've forgotten the name of the ruler. [00:07:02] Speaker A: House Antiller. [00:07:03] Speaker F: House Antiller. Yeah. Kind of cross referencing any sort of information and I guess, like, more like whether there has been anything seen, like any powers as such, like arcanish powers. But I think Atta's probably mostly going to be looking at whether the crown taps into the veil. So it's more like testing. Is this something to do with the veil? Is this something to do? So I'd like to role. Well, attune and study are the same for me right now. [00:07:44] Speaker A: So I would argue, I guess study if you want, like, academia focused knowledge. Attune, if you want arcane focus, arcana focused knowledge. [00:07:58] Speaker F: I really want to find out if it's got some kind of arcana related power, like some kind of magical relative power. [00:08:05] Speaker A: So, yeah, that'd be in a tune. What I will go ahead and say is, fundamentally, this is a gathering information. So if you on the left hand side, again, gather information, two dice minus one for your attune because of your soldiering. [00:08:22] Speaker F: Yep. [00:08:23] Speaker A: And then we'll see. See what comes out. [00:08:25] Speaker F: You can't push yourself for gather information, can you? [00:08:30] Speaker A: You can. [00:08:33] Speaker F: Do I really want to ruin. I just got rid of all the stress, and we're gonna probably have a real stressful job, so let's not. Let's just run. [00:08:42] Speaker B: Nice. [00:08:43] Speaker A: Hey. You get exceptional details. The information is complete, and follow up questions may expand into related areas. So you're trying to find out what kind of magical properties this has. Yeah. [00:08:57] Speaker F: Mm hmm. [00:08:58] Speaker A: The crown itself is a bit of a, like a diadem circlet kind of tiara type thing, the. The metallic parts of it, so they're almost like a rose ish gold with this kind of winding silver platinum style banding around it. Apart from being very expensive and exquisitely made of, they hold no magical properties. What does, however, are the three. So the large kind of round ruby on the center that would kind of go over the middle of the forehead, and the two kind of rose quartz style gems, either side of it. You notice that these gems seem to. Well, you put them. Does atta at any point, put this crown on? [00:10:02] Speaker F: I mean, as long as Algernon has not said any that I can't. [00:10:10] Speaker B: Yeah, I think he's just left it all up to you. [00:10:13] Speaker F: Fabulous, then, yes, she absolutely does. It's the first thing she does. No. [00:10:19] Speaker A: So when you place the crown on, suddenly the world itself almost feels like it's in sharper focus. The colors are more saturated your thoughts are much more kind of streamlined, a lot clearer. And that kind of emptiness that you feel, that you've been feeling ever since you attacked by the rogue spirit, uh, when you're helping the hollow, it almost feels like that kind of hole in you is being filled. It feels as if it's almost amplifying your natural kind of magical, innate magical power. But it, as you wear it, it feels like there's this kind of anxious gnawing, this. This feeling of anxiety that kind of emanates from the crown throughout your body. Like it wants to do something, it wants to be somewhere. It feels lost, it feels like it's trying to return to somewhere, but there's no kind of real feeling of direction. It's just this. Yeah, this panicked feeling of, like, home sickness. Um, you can ask questions that expand to related areas or reveal more than that, reveal more than you hope for. So if you've got any follow up questions, um, throw it open to everyone else as well. [00:11:57] Speaker F: Yeah, yeah, absolutely. So, would be excited to tell whoever would come and listen to Rambler. Maybe not mustow for this one, but I don't know. Do we want to invite master? I suppose the one question that atta has is, if she thinks very hard whilst wearing it or tapping into it, of the concept of Alizia's heart, does the direction become or does something? [00:12:31] Speaker A: Then the feeling of anxiety softens somewhat. [00:12:41] Speaker F: Okay. [00:12:42] Speaker A: The more that you kind of close your eyes and think of this concept, like, you could almost kind of blocking out your sensory readings of your surroundings. As you scrunch your eyes and concentrate harder and harder, you hear a beating in your head. [00:13:17] Speaker F: I would love to see what happens if Algernon puts it on. [00:13:22] Speaker B: What happens if algonquins. Yeah. [00:13:27] Speaker A: Well, we will. We will see what happens when Algon puts it on. As when Algon puts it on. Is there anything else that you're looking to ask? We'll give you one more question. [00:13:40] Speaker B: I was wondering if the. If the ruby at the center is related at all to the red crystals that we've been seeing in Alicia. [00:13:53] Speaker A: Algon, you would have, from your experience with the foreign service, like traveling elsewhere before you were trapped in Alicia during the eschatom. You saw, like, Matt, mana crystals are somewhat commonplace. They, you know, they. They're rare. Not commonplace. They're rare, but the presence of them is, you know, it's not super out the ordinary. You've seen, uh, like, mages with mana crystals adorning their staffs. Um, during the war, you would have seen battalions of soldiers armed with mana crystal rifle like firearms, and like the true. The reason for their sort of, like, somewhat rarity is the skill needed to craft and hone a mana crystal into a usable, stable form. But during the war of the heavens, you saw some of the result of the rampant arcane magic. These sharp, jagged kind of crystalline structures that would, like, sprout in areas of high intensity magic as seemingly kind of changing things that were exposed to too much mana. And whilst the red mana crystal, the red gem in the. In the crown of Antelir, is quite clearly like a crafted mana gem, what's jutting out the vine seems much more like the chaotic, arcane, corrupt style, which in itself begs the question, where is that coming from? Why are these vines encrusted with these mana, with this, you know, corrupting mana structure? Maybe it's a trick of the light. The hues of the two gems look similar, but whether or not that's, like, a coincidence or not, it's hard to tell. But at its very base, it's like they aren't entirely the same. One was manufactured, one seems natural. So with that atta, I believe at this point, Errol is immediately about to jump on a plane and fly to the other side of the world. [00:16:27] Speaker F: I'm already on a plane. This is just a very Taylor brickswift style. No? Yes. I will be heading off, in which. [00:16:37] Speaker A: Case, we will wave you goodbye. [00:16:40] Speaker D: Bye, Ariel. [00:16:41] Speaker A: Bye. [00:16:43] Speaker F: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Bye. [00:16:47] Speaker A: Nope. [00:16:47] Speaker F: I didn't do it very well. That was. My knees are strong. [00:16:53] Speaker D: Visual gag for anyone listening to the elevator. [00:16:59] Speaker F: Okay, there we go. Bye. [00:17:04] Speaker A: Okay, very good, very good. Next up on the down times. Who wants to go next? Who fancies going next? Not. Not you, Agunon. Not you. [00:17:15] Speaker E: Not you. [00:17:17] Speaker D: Poor JC. [00:17:20] Speaker A: Let's, uh. Shall we? Shall we say Meg. Let's go down to the bottom. Meg, what's, uh. Hello. What's Frida doing for a first down time? [00:17:27] Speaker C: Oh, well, it's pretty boring. This is pretty much the same as I did last time, but Frida stressed and very hurt. [00:17:35] Speaker A: The same thing we do every downtime, Pinky. [00:17:39] Speaker C: So, uh, yeah, Frida's gonna go and beg some healing from, um, anywhere she can. Maybe Jocasta. If Jocasta's feeling particularly, um, generous, can we. [00:17:52] Speaker D: Can we not use Lorenzo? Well, I got him yet. [00:17:55] Speaker C: I know Dan said that potentially, that won't come into effect till next time, or you're going to be really nice. [00:18:04] Speaker A: Maybe. Maybe you calling him is what brings Lorenzo in. [00:18:08] Speaker C: Oh, okay. Yeah, I can do that. Yeah. [00:18:11] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:18:12] Speaker C: Yeah, let's say I've, like, you know. Ah. Frida goes to Jocasta and asks for some healing. And Caster, fed up of, um, using up all of her bandage stock to hatch this silly wolfkin woman up, tells her to bugger off. But she does know someone who is looking for some long term work. [00:18:43] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. In which case it's like a private clinic of sorts in Duskland. And you notice that when you enter, all the candles lighting the room burn with a somewhat bright blue flame, which gives the interior this kind of eerie, cold kind of feeling. The keeper is a rather small keeper by keeper standards. Only about, you know, six foot eight, six foot nine. But without kind of looking to you, he gestures to this, like, lounging bed and like it's scribbling away at something in a. In a diary. And then without looking, you, he says, name? [00:19:45] Speaker C: And frieda panics and just goes. Freedom. [00:19:49] Speaker A: Good. That is the name I was looking for. Please take a seat. [00:19:54] Speaker C: Right. Thank you. [00:19:57] Speaker A: He turns in the chair that you sat on the. And sort of like regards you with this pair of kind of half moon spectacles balanced on the end of his nose. And he sort of leans back and crosses his kind of third legs, and you see his tail sort of like still and then swishing from one side to another in very abrupt. In a very abrupt manner. What seems to be the problem? [00:20:28] Speaker C: Uh, Rita sort of gestures aim, um, and, you know, sort of lifts up her shirt and gestures again. [00:20:44] Speaker A: The keeper. The keeper nods. Um, and then he, like, silently, he hums to himself, turns around the seat and begins kind of scribbling away furiously in whatever kind of book he's scribbling in. And he leaves. You kind of sat there in silence for a good minute, minute and a half. Every so often, he'll stop and he'll turn and he turns to look at you over his shoulder, then returns to his little diary. [00:21:12] Speaker C: I mean, usually jocasta just sticks some cream and some bandages on it, but there's never been this much writing before. What are you, uh, what are you saying in that little notebook of yours? [00:21:26] Speaker A: Well, that, Frida, is why you are looking the way you are looking. No, no, no. Um, and he stands and sort of like you see him kind of browsing some of the shelves. Um, and he starts kind of pulling, um, like dried leaves. Um, there's little drawers of what appear to be kind of herbal reagents of some sort, which is quite fascinating to see given that you're two years into Elysia being lost. And there's not very much of them left, but he's seemingly using some of these sparingly. But he begins adding them to a, like a pestle, begins grinding them up. And you then notice him pull a drawer open on his desk and he produces what appears to be a small crystal shard of an aqua green crystal shard. And he drops that in to the pestle and then grinds that up as well. You see him adding a solution to it. You see him pour the, the powder into a like a small flask and then he adds some solution. He corks it and then begins shaking it, um, and then looks back to you, like whilst he's shaking this like potion flask, um, do you imagine that you're going to be seeing a lot of more of this, uh, action? [00:22:58] Speaker C: Uh, I mean it, um, it's uh, occupation hazard, shall we say. [00:23:07] Speaker A: I either work on down payment or retainer. [00:23:14] Speaker C: What's the difference? [00:23:16] Speaker A: Very good. If you give me an address and I will move. I will set up shop. If you have any maladies going forward, then I can see what I can do. I will be on. I will work alongside you, I will upon my business from your premises as well. It will be a symbiotic relationship which should serve us both. [00:23:38] Speaker E: Oh. [00:23:39] Speaker C: Oh, right. [00:23:40] Speaker A: Hands. Puts a hand out to shake it while still shaking this potion. [00:23:46] Speaker C: Frida. Absolutely. Flummox just shakes his hand and it's like, yeah, I mean we've got, we've got, we've got, we've got great, great premises. You can even have your own room. Yeah. Oh my. Oh my God, that'd be amazing. [00:24:04] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:24:09] Speaker A: He stares at you. [00:24:10] Speaker C: What's. What's your name again? [00:24:13] Speaker A: He stops, pushes the colossus up his nose. You know my name, he says. And he hands you. He hands you the vial and the solution inside, like the liquid inside, has turned a similar kind of aqua green to the color of the shard that was put in it. You. You can drink it all at once or you can drink it bit by bit. It matters not whether you want short term or long term healing. [00:24:42] Speaker C: All right? Is it. It's a better over ice or you know, should I. Shall I heat it up? [00:24:49] Speaker A: He looks to you and hmm. And then he turns in his chair and begins scribbling in his diary. Unless there is nothing else, you are done. [00:24:58] Speaker C: All right. Do you want me to give you our address? [00:25:02] Speaker A: I know it. [00:25:07] Speaker C: Okay. Thank. Thank you. [00:25:13] Speaker A: He doesn't respond. Instead he just flicks his fingers to gesture you out. [00:25:22] Speaker C: Frida just sort of just walks, walks out looking quite confused. But as soon as she gets out the door, she goes, I suppose, oh, what's the worst that could happen? And she uncorks the bottle and just look in one. [00:25:39] Speaker A: Let us hope that he hasn't beefed this role. [00:25:44] Speaker C: Oh, boy. No, that would be awkward. [00:25:52] Speaker A: So that is two segments. When you feel your healing clock reduce each instance of harm on your sheet by one level. So you drink the potion and, like, you feel it scratch, and it must be the shark. It's like drinking pulverized glass, but you feel it scratching down your. Like, your pipes down into your gut, and you cough slightly. And then suddenly, that you feel this wave of, like, euphoria travel through you. And unbeknownst to you, but as you make your way back to the others, like, your eyes are massive. But also unbeknownst to you, the slash on your abdomen heals over and the deep cut to your face reduces to level one. [00:26:53] Speaker D: So I could just. A cut to the face of so. [00:26:57] Speaker A: Shallow, shallow cheek scar, like, nice cut. And we finish your clock. [00:27:10] Speaker D: Amazing. [00:27:14] Speaker C: And Frieda feels so great that she's gonna go punch some stuff to celebrate. [00:27:20] Speaker A: If you have any more segments to mark, they roll over. So, actually. [00:27:23] Speaker D: So one more one. [00:27:25] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:27:25] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:27:27] Speaker D: That's amazing. Lorenzo's a bloody legend. [00:27:30] Speaker C: Okay, right, who's that stupid woman who threw the bomb and then buggered it up last time? [00:27:37] Speaker D: Fiend. [00:27:38] Speaker A: Fiend. [00:27:39] Speaker C: Yeah, she's out. Lorenzo's in. [00:27:41] Speaker A: Well, now you've got room for all three of them. [00:27:43] Speaker D: All three of them? [00:27:44] Speaker C: Yeah, but still in the tier. In the shit tier list. You know, like, the ends right down here. And Lorenzo is top. [00:27:54] Speaker D: Lorenzo spey, top dog. [00:27:57] Speaker A: Has he replaced both? We'll see. What is Frida's second downtime? [00:28:02] Speaker C: Yeah, she's. She's elated, so she's gonna go punch some shit and indulge in that. Right? What better to celebrate healing than going and hurting other people? [00:28:13] Speaker A: Yeah, sounds good. So two dice on the left. You are 12345. You are eight stress. This is a zero dice inside. Zero dice indulgence. [00:28:26] Speaker D: Hey, look at that. [00:28:27] Speaker E: Nice. [00:28:28] Speaker D: Five. That's very good. [00:28:29] Speaker A: So a five. That will reduce you down to three stress. [00:28:34] Speaker D: Wow, that was very good. [00:28:38] Speaker A: Okay. And that is Frida ticked off. We're gonna switch up and go to Magpie. [00:28:45] Speaker D: Hello. [00:28:46] Speaker A: What's magpies first. [00:28:47] Speaker D: Magpies. First order of business is a slightly risky indulge vice because she's on five stress, and she gets two dice for this. So I do not want any of my critics sex nonsense going on here. Okay, but I'm gonna take the risk and try it. [00:29:07] Speaker A: Where? What is it this time? [00:29:09] Speaker D: She's nicking another brooch or something from mum to take to the orphanage. She's just. She's on her bullshit. Okay, um, I'm on five, four. [00:29:19] Speaker A: I've got yours. [00:29:20] Speaker D: Really? Oh, that's not good. I thought I was on. Oh, you're right. I'm on four. That calls everything into question, doesn't it? It looks like more on my sheet, but no, it must be four. Um, what do you guys reckon? Is it too risky? Feels quite risky. [00:29:37] Speaker E: Might be explode. [00:29:40] Speaker A: There's only a one in three chance of overindulging. [00:29:43] Speaker D: Only a one in three chance. The problem is I don't like starting a new mission with half my stress filled up. Don't feel good about that? Not sure. Okay. [00:29:55] Speaker E: Join the trauma crew. [00:29:57] Speaker C: Well, the worst that can happen is you don't get trauma. [00:30:00] Speaker D: You don't get trauma if you overindulge. That's not what happened. [00:30:03] Speaker E: No, but you're saying don't indulge and get traumatic. [00:30:07] Speaker C: Yeah, just. Just rack up your stress. It's worked fine for freedom so far. [00:30:12] Speaker A: As Errol pointed out, the next mission might be a bit ropey. [00:30:16] Speaker D: This is what I'm thinking. The next mission is probably going to be ropey. So I'm gonna take the risk and indulge in stress. The worst that can happen is that I tap out. I think that's the worst that can happen. [00:30:29] Speaker A: Oh, no. [00:30:29] Speaker C: Is Magpie gonna get grounded? [00:30:32] Speaker D: I hope not. You better fucking not. [00:30:34] Speaker A: Two dice. Indulge and you have four. Stress. [00:30:40] Speaker D: Let's roll it. Boom. Three down to one. Nailed it. Stuck the landing. [00:30:48] Speaker A: Okay. Very good. Very, very good. So that was your indulgence? You successfully steal brooch and I and fence it off? [00:30:54] Speaker D: Yep. [00:30:57] Speaker A: What is your second? [00:30:58] Speaker D: I would like to reduce heat and I would like to do it by being a lurk. And I'm going to attempt to the guy who remembered Frida's face. I'm going to find out who that was by questioning Algernon. I think he probably has the clearest memory of that night. Since he wasn't in a red haze like Frida was, I'm going to attempt to sneak into either his lodgings or the guard station and plant some kind of evidence that discredits him. So, like alcohol bottles or something that will make his testimony unusable. That Frida was. Was the name that he heard that night. [00:31:46] Speaker A: Okay. Um, which ability are you using? [00:31:49] Speaker D: I would like to use prowl to do that prowl. [00:31:51] Speaker A: Okay. Roll me a prowl. [00:31:54] Speaker D: I'd love to. Okay. I'm just gonna roll it. I've got three pips. I'm just gonna hope I can roll better this time without pushing myself or anything. It's got this lovely clear one stress bar. I don't want to. I don't want to make. I don't want to undo all my good work. So let's just see five. [00:32:13] Speaker C: Not bad. [00:32:14] Speaker D: Not bad, but not brilliant either. [00:32:18] Speaker A: So a five is two segments, I believe, so that will drop your heat down to three. [00:32:29] Speaker D: Okay. [00:32:30] Speaker A: Very good. That is Mac by Dom Katherine? [00:32:33] Speaker E: Hello. [00:32:34] Speaker A: Hello. What are you doing? [00:32:36] Speaker E: Before down tying starts, I wanted to say that I actually cleared one of my tracks. I cleared my resolve track, so I popped a pip into a tune. [00:32:49] Speaker A: Oh, everyone's getting on me a tune. [00:32:52] Speaker E: Train, because I seem to come across quite a few, many ghosts. I never have any tune to tackle them. So I thought, I'll do that. Yes. [00:33:03] Speaker A: Very good. So, yeah, plus one attune. [00:33:06] Speaker E: And like everyone else, I'm going to go and clear some stress. [00:33:10] Speaker A: Okay. How or who are you doing it? [00:33:14] Speaker E: I'm gonna go back to the chandelier. I would like to see if my new boyfriend's there. So if Thorntham. [00:33:25] Speaker A: Mm hmm. [00:33:26] Speaker E: If he is there, I'm gonna see if his. If his employees, the acrobats, are there and ask them if he is round the back. [00:33:35] Speaker A: Sure. [00:33:37] Speaker C: Will be in a minute. [00:33:41] Speaker A: Roll the dice. So be a one dice indulge. You have six stress, and then based on how well you do, I'll let you know. [00:33:49] Speaker E: One dice indulge. Vice six, dress. Go on, give me a nice six. It'd be lovely. Oh, God. [00:34:04] Speaker A: It would appear that Vaughn Thom is entertaining another guest. [00:34:11] Speaker E: Rude. His loss. [00:34:16] Speaker A: You still managed to drink and swoop your way through some of the night, but that's. That's too. Too stress. What would your second downtime be? [00:34:28] Speaker E: I would like to do a long project. I would like to study the Book of Meladani that I got. And I would like to study it in the room where Tavarian is. [00:34:41] Speaker A: Interesting. What's your end game? [00:34:46] Speaker E: I want to see if the. The being that I saw returns. I'll have the spectre glasses with me as well. [00:34:57] Speaker A: Okay. Um, which ability are you using for this? [00:35:05] Speaker E: My emergent divinity. Next? Don't know. I don't really have, like, a study or anything. Um. [00:35:17] Speaker A: Unless you're using your newly acquired attune. [00:35:20] Speaker E: Yeah, I'll use my attune. [00:35:24] Speaker A: Okay. So is this more like, you're encanting some of the. Like, the rituals and the. Some of the. [00:35:34] Speaker E: Yeah. And if anything, any of it is in draconic as well, I would like to use that. [00:35:39] Speaker A: Okay, so you're doing it in the room with Tavarian in the hopes that who, like that mysterious tarot shaped blob of light, reappears? [00:35:52] Speaker E: Yes, please. [00:35:53] Speaker A: Roll them, Bones. I'm going to call this a controlled standard. [00:36:01] Speaker E: I'm not gonna. I'm not gonna put push it because I can't. Because I need that stress for the next mission. [00:36:09] Speaker A: You could swap it to a risky grater for free. [00:36:16] Speaker E: Might do that. Then I'm gonna put it to a risky grater. [00:36:22] Speaker A: One dice of tune. [00:36:24] Speaker E: Let's go. [00:36:27] Speaker D: Yes. [00:36:28] Speaker A: Amazing. [00:36:30] Speaker D: Okay, six. We love it. [00:36:34] Speaker A: Given that meladani is the goddess of, like, revelry, are there any kind of particular passages or lessons or, like in the inverted commons rituals that you're focusing on? Um, like, are you hoping just the act of kind of going through it will draw tarot to you, or are you trying to invoke some particular, uh, like, emotional sentiment in tarot or tavarian or whatnot? [00:37:12] Speaker E: I want to see. I mean. I mean, the one reason why I'm in the room with Tavarian is that I. That's the last time I saw her anyway, when Catherine saw her. And we don't now have access to where we last saw her in physical form because obviously, that's now surrounded by the guard because that's where songbird was hiding out. So I tell you what. [00:37:43] Speaker A: I might jump in and help you here by saying perhaps it's a rich. Because melodani is the. Is the patron of, like, revelry. Perhaps it is for all extensive purposes, like a summoning spell. It's for kind of summoning, like the life of the party, gathering your friends, kind of instilling those thoughts of. Kind of companionships and mirth when amongst others, effectively getting everyone. Getting everyone is pre drinks. It's like a pre drinks ritual. [00:38:18] Speaker E: Let's go for it. [00:38:21] Speaker A: So some of the phrases are intracomic and, like, the words kind of slide off your tongue in this very kind of. A kind of luxurious way. It's like. It's almost like you can almost feel like a sensation of silk gliding across, um, the. The buds of your tongues as you utter these kind of intony's magical words. And as you complete this kind of ritual of companionship, you look to the doorway where you last saw Tarot. And the doorway is dark, but when you turn back. Sat in front of you is the outline of Tavarian. There's a look of kind of thanks on her face, and she looks around, slightly confused before looking back to you. And I. I don't know what you've done, dear. [00:39:28] Speaker C: I. [00:39:31] Speaker A: But thank you. I thank you for. You're the one that found me, aren't you? Yes. I was so lonely. I don't know how long I was just existing, but I'm glad that you came to fetch me. And whatever it is that you just said, it was. Well, it was beautiful. Thank you. [00:40:09] Speaker E: I'm glad you thought so. Tavarian. [00:40:12] Speaker A: She looks around and you notice that in these moments, she just looks a bit more cognant than she did when you were kind of talking her through the atagram. What is this place, dear? Where are we? [00:40:27] Speaker E: You're in. You're in Cadwallader Manor. [00:40:35] Speaker A: Oh. One of. One of the noble. One of the. One of the ace of our noble houses. I. Yes, I remember. Oh, are we. Are we. Have we been invited here? Is there a dinner? [00:40:50] Speaker E: No. No dinner, I'm afraid. But you're. You're safe here. [00:40:55] Speaker A: She sits back and you see a sort of like. She's got her legs crossed at the ankles, and she just. You notice she's almost bobbing her, like, hooves up and down. And she kind of like, nods to herself at those words. Yes. Yes, I do feel safe. You have to excuse me, dear. My memory's gotten a bit fuzzy. I remember memory day, Memorial Day, but I don't really remember anything that's happened. How long ago was that? Everything seems like a blur. [00:41:33] Speaker E: It was a few. It was a few weeks ago. Afraid your. [00:41:41] Speaker A: I must. My memory. My memory fails me sometimes in my old age, but I must. I must know what. What is happening in the city. I need to know where. I need to divert my attentions. I need to know who to help first. [00:41:57] Speaker E: Well, do you know of your current predicament at the moment? [00:42:05] Speaker A: She looks at you, confused. I'm not sure I follow. [00:42:15] Speaker E: You're no longer of. How do I put this lightly? You're no longer a physical being. You're no longer alive. You're. Well, you're alive. But I've never had to do this before. Um. [00:42:35] Speaker A: She sort of, like, swats a hand at you, as if just, like, tell you off for being a cheeky scamp. But as she does, she frowns for a moment and then lifts her hand back up so it's in between you and her. And she slowly turns her hand over and over. Oh, that is curious, isn't it? [00:43:06] Speaker E: I'm. I'm so sorry. It was. It was definitely felt by the whole city, or you're. You're passing? [00:43:14] Speaker A: Um, she then looks to you and. You shouldn't be here, then it's not safe for you to be here if I'm one of. One of them. [00:43:29] Speaker E: Well, obviously not. I've. Unfortunately, now, we've. We've had quite a few running with ghosts, and they. They've been a lot more vicious than you have right now. I. This is actually the first time I've had, like, a conversation with. With one. [00:43:51] Speaker A: You're. [00:43:52] Speaker E: You're quite the. You're quite the unique specimen. [00:43:57] Speaker A: What was your name again, dear? [00:44:00] Speaker E: My name's Catherine Cavern. [00:44:03] Speaker A: And she leans forward and, like you see her, place her hands around yours. And whilst there's no contact, you feel like you can feel her touch. She looks at you with this imploring look and. Could you. I want you to take me around the city. I want to see Alicia again. I need to see what's happening and. You have a kind soul, dear. I. I feel like you have a kind soul. So perhaps if I can't help the people, perhaps I can help you help them form me. Would you do that for me? [00:45:01] Speaker E: I think Catherine's gonna feel quite overwhelmed with that request that he's gonna go. Well, we'll give it a try. I don't know how we're gonna get you outside, but I have a friend who might be able to help. I think she's currently sleeping. [00:45:25] Speaker A: She nods and. Thank you. Thank you, Catherine. And you watch as her outline begins to blur until it disperses into little motes of soul light, which then float back towards the orb. The ghost orb that she's contained with him. [00:45:56] Speaker E: I know I shouldn't read draconic. Bloody hell. [00:46:00] Speaker A: So enough of this emotional shit. Algernon, what's your first downtime? [00:46:11] Speaker B: I think I'm going to use our newly upgraded tier to acquire an asset. [00:46:18] Speaker A: What asset are you hoping to acquire? [00:46:21] Speaker B: I think I will try and acquire a new source for foresight. [00:46:28] Speaker A: Okay. What ability are you using, and how are you using it? [00:46:38] Speaker B: So it's a special acquire asset role that uses our tier level? [00:46:44] Speaker A: Yes, bing one, yes. [00:46:46] Speaker B: But I will be sort of. I will be consorting around using our new upgraded reputation and status as a burgeoning vise den to see if there's any of this special mineral compound that anybody in the city has their hands on. [00:47:05] Speaker A: Okay, so to recline the asset, you roll your cruise tier the result indicates the quality of the asset you get. Okay, so two dice. You can spend coin to raise the Roko. You forgot my coin. Never mind. If you acquire the same asset again, you get plus one dice. Okay. Alchemicals, poison bombs, highly restricted. When you acquire one of these items, you take two heat. So we'll see what happens. Aha. So a bad result. Okay, so sorry. Where is it you were looking for? Like, how are you trying to source it out? [00:47:53] Speaker B: Just anyone who I've heard in the last two years is dealing with Arcana. [00:47:59] Speaker A: Sure. In which case, yeah, you follow up. You follow up a lead. Let's say old town. So you had to hold old town to meet with this new dealer. It's a loravar whose personal presentation and the clothes that they wear do not match. He himself is quite dirty and a bit scabby, but the clothes he wears are quite rich and slightly ill fitted. He saw, like, sees you, and he, like, looks around, and then sort of, like, shuffles over to you and. Oh, God. [00:48:41] Speaker B: He says, do I know this person's name? [00:48:46] Speaker A: This is Illindar Krannerin. Poop in the chat there. His hair is a bit of patchy in places. Like, like, he's had it close shaved in certain points, but the rest, some of it is, is kind of, kind of growing out. There's distinct kind of stubble, and there's a. There's a peculiar kind of acrid smell coming off him. You're. You're algin on. Yeah. [00:49:24] Speaker B: You must be cranner in. [00:49:26] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah, that's me. [00:49:28] Speaker B: I found you at the bottom of my pocketbook. [00:49:30] Speaker A: I'm really glad that you found me. So. Yeah. You're looking for this shit. Yeah. [00:49:41] Speaker B: Listen, I'm not here to be messed around. [00:49:45] Speaker A: No, no, no messing around. No, no, we. I I only have. I only find that I only make. I only have the finest, the finest stuff. Yeah. If you want to go on a trip, I can send you on a trip. [00:50:02] Speaker B: There's a particular arcane mineral that I've been using, and I've been short of it for some time. It's mined across the continent from where Elysia used to be. Gives the user particular precognitive ability to look into the future. Do you know what I'm talking about or don't you? [00:50:21] Speaker A: Yeah, you're. You're. Yeah, you're looking for some brain buzz. That's what. That's what it sounds like you're looking for. Now, what I found, is that a really, really good alternative to brain buzz. Is actually, like, half. You dry out like eel mucus. Um, yeah, you make that into a cell and that, that really, really works. [00:50:46] Speaker B: I just require the raw mineral, please. Do you have any. [00:50:52] Speaker A: Sure, sure. Let me, um. Yeah, let me, um. Yeah, hang on, hang on. And he begins, like, ruffling through his, like, coat pockets. Um, and, like, as you're looking at him, and I can only assume pinching the bridge of your nose, you notice he just, like, freezes. And, like, he's looking over your shoulder. He looks to you and. Nah, nah. I knew. I knew this was a setup. I knew this was a setup, he says, and he turns and scarpers. He just breaks into a run and sprints down the street that you're stood on. And. And at the other end of the street where he was, clearly, he noticed something. You turn and see the silhouette of what appears to be a woman with a slight purple reflective sheen off the round lenses of the glasses she's wearing. And she places a package on a nearby barrel that's at the back of one of the. The back of this house. And with a tilt of her head, she turns and disappears around the corner of the end of the street. [00:52:18] Speaker B: Look at that package. [00:52:20] Speaker A: It is entitled to mister, a cadwallader. And it can contains a single half, like a half vial of foresight. [00:52:36] Speaker B: Alcohol. Just immediately ingests it for my second downtime activity, which is to clear some stress. [00:52:44] Speaker A: Sure. So, yeah, it's certainly not enough to, like, get you over the bump, but it's a half measure for sure. So if. Yeah, if you're clearing indulgence, you've got seven stress. This will be a two dicer five. [00:53:07] Speaker D: Five's pretty good. [00:53:08] Speaker A: It hits just right. Okay. And as you, like, hurriedly, like, is it something you breathe? Is it a gas you breathe in? Like, is it the fumes you breathe in? Or do you drink it or. Because I'm imagining it to be, like, photo curing. [00:53:28] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, I think so. I think she knows the way I like to take it. [00:53:35] Speaker A: Okay, as you. So, yeah, you frantically scrabble to pour the foresight into your eye and, like, you feel the sting, you, like, begin to blink it away and sort of like, when you come to and you can feel the, like, the world kind of rippling, reverberating around it begins to kick in. You get that relief as you feel like, the weight come off your shoulders, but it stops short of kind of throwing you into the full sort like the vision quest that you normally go. One where you're able to sort, like, in scenes, the lives of all the people of Alicia is seemingly stops dead. And like, at the end of the street, you know, not more than a few feet from you, you just see this group of orphans with like the orphan troop leader just like, stood looking at you. And like this one girls pointing again. What's he doing? Matron. And like, this Laura Voldemort, like, shooing them off as you sort of like. You know, your eyes are bloodshot from the foresight, but as you peer back in the envelope, in the package, you see. You see a small note that says, when you're ready for the truth, seek me out of. [00:55:02] Speaker B: Oh. [00:55:06] Speaker A: So with that in mind, that's everyone's downtime done, I believe. Okay, where are you all convening after. After your various nightly activities? Are you meeting like, the night of your downtimes or the morning after or what? [00:55:29] Speaker B: Well, we know that prison stuff's happening tomorrow, so it's pretty urgent. [00:55:34] Speaker A: Becta. [00:55:36] Speaker C: Yeah, I reckon. Spectre. [00:55:37] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay. In which case, yeah, we find you, um, in the. In the speaker. Are you in the speakeasy or the, um. Like the new. The. The secret. Secret area, like the back rooms, if you will. I imagine there's another bookcase that opens to reveal another speaker. Yeah. Are you kind of lording up in your. In this new kind of area that Eric's kitted out for you? [00:56:14] Speaker C: Yeah, why not sure. [00:56:17] Speaker A: In which case it's on the other. It's basically behind the bar. And you're able to see who's in the speakeasy through the one way mirror. The part of the bar, like, behind Eric when he's serving, is made of. So you're able to see the patrons of the speakeasy come and go, kind of. Some of them doing their dealings all within this kind of private vip area, if you will. And. Yeah. What's on everyone's minds? Mustow's told you that the. The job is the prison break job that he's planned out because he's not had a chance to tell anyone else that the plan's off. Although some people might be thinking the plans off because Musto's gone. Yeah. What is the plan? What's on everyone's minds? [00:57:09] Speaker B: I think Algernon is thinking about the plan for tomorrow. He's probably already had a chat with Musto, which we'll find out about as part of the gathering information for next time. [00:57:21] Speaker A: Okay, yeah, that sounds good. [00:57:23] Speaker E: Cavern is probably just thinking about the situation he's just had with Tavareen and trying to mull this over, is it? [00:57:31] Speaker A: Are you sharing it with your companions? What's happened? [00:57:37] Speaker E: Uh, not yet. I think he can. I think he can see that there's some tensions, and he knows that there's something big happening tomorrow, so he's probably going, like, let's hold off for now. [00:57:54] Speaker A: How about Magpie? What's going through her mind? [00:57:56] Speaker D: I think magpies got quite a lot on her mind. She probably seems quite quiet. This certainly isn't a place where she would want to talk about the kind of stuff that's going on in her mind right now. I think she's probably just. Yeah, focused on tomorrow with everyone else. [00:58:15] Speaker A: Frieda. [00:58:18] Speaker C: Frida, for first time in quite a long time, is actually in really good spirits. She's feeling better. Better. She's probably, like, chattering loudly and maybe slightly with a lack of awareness for the sort of somber tone in the room, like Jove Lee about how great she feels and how she had really good, like, session in the light, in the rings and, like. And, you know. And how, like. Yeah, I think, you know, that last job went so well. You know, I think we absolutely smashed it, and, you know, just. Yeah. Just gabbling on a little bit. [00:59:04] Speaker A: Sure. [00:59:05] Speaker E: For God's sakes, Frida, could you just be quiet for 2 seconds, please? [00:59:13] Speaker A: All right. All right, love. [00:59:17] Speaker C: Are you okay? I feel like, um. I feel like you might have something to say to me. You've been avoiding me for the past week. [00:59:27] Speaker A: The two of you. Think back to Kavron's dagger filled look in the library of Castle antelir. [00:59:37] Speaker E: Cavern's going to take a deep breath, and he is going to point to your scar, and he's gonna say, where did you get that? [00:59:50] Speaker C: Right. I got it in a fight. I get in fights a lot. And you've noticed Frida's just immediately gone on the defensive and that sort of, like, sort of, you know, half drunk smirk's been wiped from her face, and she leans back and has kind of got a, you know, her arms tightly crossed against her. [01:00:14] Speaker E: I can tell you're not lying, but I can also tell you're not telling the whole truth. Now tell us, Frieda. Where did that come from? [01:00:27] Speaker C: I thought. It doesn't matter now. It. [01:00:32] Speaker E: It does matter now, Frieda, because that. That. That's not something you get in your fighting pits. Is this the kindling? [01:00:45] Speaker C: Sort of. [01:00:46] Speaker E: Sort of? That doesn't answer it. Was that the kindling? [01:00:50] Speaker C: Yes. All right. It was. I. I was trying to get close to them. I thought that if I got closer to them, I could find out what they were doing. I. Quite honestly, that. That. That bullshit that happened in the keep, it scared me. All right? It scared me. That was some really. That fire that just raged with no discernible source. [01:01:22] Speaker A: It. [01:01:24] Speaker C: What that. That thing did to Algav, I started hearing whispers. I started hearing whispers in the fighting pits about angry young people joining this cause, joining this. This group called the kindling. And I'd like to say that I was getting close to them just for information, just as part of the job. But quite honestly, I. I kind of get it. I sympathized. I empathized with how. How they must have felt, because, I mean, by gods, I've been a. Been an angry youth in my time, too. And I thought I could use that. I honestly did. I. My intentions were good. I wanted to get close. I wanted to find out. I wanted to see if I could change things. [01:02:22] Speaker E: We've all got our crosses to bear with this damn city in this shit that we're in now. God. Hells, don't go and do things by yourself. You have us. We're here to look out for each other. We've all we've got. You're all. You're all I've got. [01:02:52] Speaker C: I know. And that's. That's why I just. I just wanted to protect you all. [01:02:59] Speaker E: You don't have to do that by yourself. [01:03:02] Speaker C: I. I know that now. I nearly did some really reckless shit last night. And I know that I can't. I. I can't do this by myself. And I mean, bloody hell, I've paid the price. I didn't realize that this was. I'm sorry. I don't want to lose any of you. I mean, you're as close to a family as I've ever had. [01:03:32] Speaker E: A friend's gonna exhale and he's gonna smirk. Um, and he's gonna push you over a drink. See, well, it took a while to get that out of you, but. [01:03:53] Speaker A: Just. [01:03:54] Speaker E: Don'T pull that shit again, all right? [01:03:57] Speaker C: I know. I know. We've all had to do stupid shit, haven't we? [01:04:03] Speaker E: We've all done some stupid shit. I think I've got something to tell the four of you. By the way, I had a very nice conversation with Tavareen earlier on. [01:04:22] Speaker A: From across the room. Like, the back room, the opposite corner fiends, rocks forward in her seat. And are you gonna sell her to the. To the hollow? Because, like, you're doing all that stuff with the hollow and, like, selling all the ghosts to them and stuff, right? [01:04:41] Speaker C: Frieda immediately spits out her drink. [01:04:48] Speaker E: Oh, that's a. That's a different deal. [01:04:56] Speaker A: Queen's eyes just flick from one side of the room to the other. Then she invited her. She sits back and whispers to Ruth, I think I've messed up, Ruth. I think I messed it. [01:05:15] Speaker D: Oh, boy. [01:05:15] Speaker E: Go and stand outside and think of what you've just done. [01:05:19] Speaker B: Perhaps you should practice your throwing arm. [01:05:23] Speaker A: Okay, Mister Cabolleta. [01:05:25] Speaker C: Jesus. [01:05:26] Speaker A: She gets up and slinks out. [01:05:31] Speaker C: I tell you what. Do you know what? I'm gonna let this one slide. I'm gonna let this one slide. I think at this point we'll call it even. As we've both just said, we've all done some stupid shit. But there will be no way we're selling anything to the hollow. No way are we that desperate. [01:06:00] Speaker B: We just did a little tit for tat job for them. Same as we did for the high priestess. Oh, and I hate on our doorstep. It's all part of the plan, Frieda. [01:06:11] Speaker C: Yes, I know, I know, but. Oh, it's the worst. Sometimes. [01:06:18] Speaker B: You'Re more than welcome to go and pick mushrooms in Waterside. [01:06:22] Speaker A: Ugh. [01:06:24] Speaker C: No. And, uh. She takes another drink. [01:06:32] Speaker A: Roaf, like, has been quietly brooding in the corner, like, arms crossed. And then he, like, he's. He's still a bit kind of head and hands after Fiends's little gaff just there, but he slides off the chair off his stall and he approaches the before view and he looks at you, Caverny, and then he looks to you, Frieda, and come on, let me get you a drink. He says. He kind of nods his head to the. To the secret door, back into the main speakeasy. [01:07:11] Speaker E: Thanks, Ruth. [01:07:13] Speaker A: I think some button cup shots will sort you right out. As he ushers the two of you out and he glances back over his shoulder at you. Magpie like raises an eyebrow and then closes the secret door behind you. Just leaving you and Algernon on your own, Russ. [01:07:37] Speaker B: Very good at reading the room. [01:07:42] Speaker C: Stupid fiends. [01:07:48] Speaker D: Magpie just sort of looks over at Algernon and reaches into her bag and says, do you. What do you think the inspectors bring your own policy is like? And she pulls out a bottle that you probably recognize, and she says, old moot's number five from my family cellar. Only 15 bottles left of it in all of Alicia. 14 after tonight, I think, well, let's. [01:08:18] Speaker B: Crack it open then. Magpie. [01:08:21] Speaker D: And she. Yeah, she'll kind of open it up and pour glasses for both of them. [01:08:27] Speaker B: Something you want to get off your chest. [01:08:30] Speaker D: I was just wondering how you're doing. Quite big news that you've had recently. [01:08:39] Speaker B: Oh, yes. My family tree. Growing a few more leaves. Very interesting. [01:08:48] Speaker D: How does it feel, thinking you might have a family member you have? No, Mem. [01:08:52] Speaker B: Honestly, I'm not quite sure how that's supposed to feel. I was never attached to my family. I wasn't particularly raised by my parents. I was raised by the wet nurse in the au pair, in whichever staff members could tolerate the cruelty of that place. Either this mysterious letter D was being raised in some far corner of the manor, which I was not permitted to, or I guess the only other reasonable theory is that they are some sort of alternate universe version of myself that slipped into this reality. Either one, as likely as possible. Oh, you haven't thought about it? [01:09:36] Speaker D: I can't say I had. No. Intriguing Magpie just takes a drink. [01:09:47] Speaker B: But you'll be happy to know that I found a source for my foresight. Again. Limited supply, but it should keep me in motion. [01:09:57] Speaker D: Good. Seems strange to be thinking about the future, doesn't it? The way all this is going. The relentless decay of Elysia. [01:10:11] Speaker B: Quite. I feel like I've been seeing multiple versions of the future for several years now. And it all seems to be coming together. Like those vines growing over bell tower. Gently. Where we might be heading tomorrow. If muster's intelligence brings us any joyous. [01:10:29] Speaker D: Hmm. You've always been able to see the bigger picture, haven't you, Algernon? I admire that in you. [01:10:38] Speaker B: The thing about the bigger picture, Magpie, is that you only need to see half the rest of it seems to fall into place. [01:10:47] Speaker D: I wish I had your faith in things. You know, I thought that Tavarian was going to save the city. She held it all together. But now she's gone and it's all fractured. Everybody seems to think they have a plan for saving Alicia, don't they? Fire. Evolution. Arcane magic. The will of the God. At this rate, the city's going to be torn apart before the ghosts even get to us. [01:11:17] Speaker B: It's a worry, yes. I was one of the people banking on to varien to replace Algav's iron fist with a more subtler one, of course. If we do survive all this, perhaps Elysia will re emerge in its correct place. It will require some leadership going forward. [01:11:37] Speaker D: You think so? Think we'll emerge from the stars? Back where we found ourselves originally? So hopeful? [01:11:49] Speaker B: That's where this plan is all happening. If I'm right. And if I'm wrong, then what's the use of even thinking about it. [01:12:01] Speaker D: Well, quite. You know, when Alicia was plunged into the void two years ago, my father was away in the war and my mother kept saying, we've been saved. Aya has saved her. But then I thought, we've been saved. What about father? Was he forsaken? But then I can't help but feel that maybe the forsaken ones are us. I hope you're right, Algernon. I really do. [01:12:48] Speaker B: I've never quite subscribed to the idea that we are the last remnants of elsewhere and civilization, that somehow the rest of the world has been forsaken and we saved. Doesn't quite make sense with what we see around us. And to the magician's jduv, is it not the audience who has disappeared? [01:13:17] Speaker D: I suppose it is. I suppose we just have to wait for our time to fly out of the hat. [01:13:26] Speaker B: Wait for the magic word. [01:13:29] Speaker D: Well, cheers to that. [01:13:31] Speaker B: May it come together like a cryptic. [01:13:33] Speaker A: Crossword clue as the two of you clink your your shot glasses filled with old moot 15 together elsewhere. [01:13:50] Speaker F: Here we go. [01:13:53] Speaker A: The sounds activity fills the vaulted room as clerics, priests, initiates, don their armor and choose their weapons, all under the droning chanting of the iron hymns sungdez from the books of scripture and high priestess lucrative looks over her gathered irons and the allied shield bearers with a look of grim determination on her face. Surrounded by scented silks, a red scaled dragon sense with a serpentine body ponders over a wooden manifestation of Elysia laid out before him like a battle map. And as one of his attendants whispers something in his ear, he begins moving the pieces, showing the forces as they are arrayed before looking overdose his half moon spectacle glasses to a somewhat more haggard looking, blonde haired loraval woman with fire and fury in her eyes. In a dank, dark sewer, the sounds of dripping water and condensation mixed mix with panicked, excited breathing and the gentle thrum thrum thrum of arcane magic pouring in to a singular point. And with shaking hands and jubilant glee, the figure in front of umi just begins to move slightly, and a bluish Hugh feels the glass like faceplate as the statuesque monstrosity stands upright and looks down at new hands. Within the grounds of bell tower keep a sangrevar man who once found himself working among small noble house glances skywards to see the cage like vine structures pierced with red crystals that share his eye color. As Samuel looks to the other inmates of bell tower and then to the fearful looks of the prison guards from a roof of rooftop in Dusklan the slight jingle of golden jewelry clatters in the wind as an ilnace assassin watches the entrance of the spectre very, very closely. A dark skins noble eight Sangrevar lady turns the glowing cube in her arcane prosthesis arm, and as the light illuminates under her touch and builds in intensity, she smiles as she glances up to the crest of house Antalir that adorns her wall. Soon, mother, she says, and as they all prepare for the morning to come, we will call it there. Congratulations everyone, on completing episode 14. Congratulations indeed. So we have arrived at the act two finale and I mean, it's gonna be a bit quiet, really. It's gonna be the beach episode next time. [01:18:37] Speaker D: Sure is. Sure. [01:18:41] Speaker A: Well, I'm excited for what's due to happen. I'm sure you are. I'm sure you're all excited as well.
