[00:00:01] Speaker A: Hello and welcome, Internet to Explorers of Elsewhere live.
[00:00:07] Speaker B: Hi.
[00:00:08] Speaker A: Hello.
[00:00:09] Speaker C: Hello.
[00:00:11] Speaker A: My name is DM Dan, and we are the Explorers of Elsewhere. Specifically, but in no particular order, Livy.
[00:00:19] Speaker D: Hello.
[00:00:20] Speaker A: And then I'm gonna jump over to Georgia.
[00:00:23] Speaker E: Hello.
[00:00:24] Speaker A: And then down to Theo.
[00:00:26] Speaker B: Hello.
[00:00:26] Speaker A: And then over to Nate.
Hi.
[00:00:29] Speaker D: Hello.
[00:00:30] Speaker A: We are unfortunately bereft of a Tim.
We did have some sighting of him within the past 24 hours, but he is currently evading capture. The authorities, the associated authorities are on the lookout, so if you do see him, please let us know.
No, Tim's not able to join us tonight, so we play with him in our hearts.
[00:00:55] Speaker D: Okay,
[00:00:59] Speaker A: so, yes, we had a smidge of a little break last. Last week we did an impromptu Titan talk instead. But we are back with episode 17 of our 20 episode campaign, set in the Titan Isles, which is set in the world of Elsewhere.
And when we last left you, like, when we last saw you, you were doing a. A ship fight with pirates.
[00:01:26] Speaker D: Oh, ship fights. Yes.
[00:01:28] Speaker C: It wasn't even against pirates. It was with the pirates.
[00:01:32] Speaker E: With the pirates.
[00:01:33] Speaker A: Yes. I mean, what constitutes a pirates pirate where Exo's lot pirates.
Like, when does a pirate.
[00:01:40] Speaker E: They earned the pirate title. I don't think fake pirates.
[00:01:44] Speaker C: Just a bunch.
[00:01:44] Speaker B: Didn't say R enough.
[00:01:46] Speaker D: No, R.
We didn't really wait around.
[00:01:50] Speaker C: Yeah, didn't wait around.
[00:01:53] Speaker B: I mean, according to Dictionary.com, a pirate is a person who robs or commits illegal violence at sea.
They were bad pirates and they were pirates. We were with.
[00:02:05] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. But we were also doing violence at sea.
[00:02:07] Speaker E: So we were pirates.
[00:02:09] Speaker B: We were pirates for one. For just one day, we were pirates.
[00:02:13] Speaker A: Everyone was a pirate.
Yes, you successfully repelled the like the offensive from Exo's flagship led by his surviving lieutenant, the Graven Seer.
And yeah, we're going to be picking up just after.
Well, in the aftermath of that little combat. Um, just before we jump in, in case you're seeing this for the first time. Hello. Hi, welcome.
If you haven't already, consider subscribing on YouTube or following over on Twitch.
And if you want to see more so like EOE stuff and see what, you know, some sort of behind the scenes stuff, which is some extra content, consider joining us over in our discord. It's free to join and the links in the description and it'll probably be popping up during chat every so often.
If you really like what you're seeing, consider becoming a member on YouTube or a patron on Patreon.
We like when, especially when campaign three starts wrapping up, we'll start to see more kind of supplementary content which I suspect may well end up in the Patreons and the membership areas or just kind of general silly little sort like non campaigning stuff happening on there.
Additionally, two of the five people on screen right now are doing something gargantuan and monolithic.
Do you want to take a quick minute to talk about what I'm talking about?
[00:03:44] Speaker C: Yeah, sure. Thanks for asking, dad.
[00:03:50] Speaker B: Georgia, do you want to shoot or
[00:03:52] Speaker E: do you want me to shoot you? Go, darling. You've memorized it so well.
[00:03:55] Speaker B: I have not.
[00:03:55] Speaker A: I have not.
[00:03:57] Speaker B: So currently Georgia and myself we have written a. And we've written and co produced a audio fiction.
Sorry, let's start there again.
It's a found footage fiction podcast which is a horror story which is designed as a sequel to the novel Dracula.
All of season one is on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Pocket Cast, wherever you listen to your podcasts. So it's like an audio drama and that you can listen to either. Seven episodes.
Lovely. Dan features in it as a security guard. We also feature as voices if you want to laugh at us on telephones or as emergency systems.
But yeah, it's really, it's very queer. It's very.
There's lots of horror. There's also lots of dark adventure bits. It's about family and queer identity.
We have a trans lead played by the wonderful Rebecca Root. And also Dan lovingly did an RPG based in our World last week which you can go listen to on the channel. Listen to watch on the channel which included myself being a very strange maintenance man.
It's great. We love it. And we're currently kick starting for season two.
[00:05:04] Speaker E: It's called the Homewood Foundation.
[00:05:06] Speaker B: I thought I said that. Apparently that's good. So yeah, it's called the home information. You can find us anywhere you get your podcasts and if you look for us on Kickstarter and we'll put the link in the channel as well. You can see our Kickstarter is currently running. We're trying to raise 40k so we can pay all of our cast and crew. We're a big bunch. We all need to be paid a living way Season two for season two. So yes, but season one you can listen to right now.
Yeah, I think that's it.
There is just so much to say in one minute. But yes, we hope you go have a listen and let us know if you are listening to it.
[00:05:46] Speaker A: Amazing. Yes, no, you absolutely should.
If like if anything that we do on the channel tickles your pickle, just absolutely give Home with a homeward a good go, because if nothing else, is significantly better quality.
So with that in mind, you have done some pirating. And now the pirating has ceased.
Who wants to see what you lot get up to next?
[00:06:11] Speaker B: Me.
[00:06:11] Speaker C: Go on then.
[00:06:12] Speaker A: Me. Me. Okay, button didn't work, but.
[00:06:35] Speaker C: Hello, I'm Nate and I'll be playing Griffin, a Sanguvar bard.
[00:06:41] Speaker D: Hi, I'm Livy and I'm playing Abe, the Guardian Keeper.
[00:06:47] Speaker B: Hello, my name is Theo and I'll be playing Cooper, Dragon scent. Rogue.
[00:06:53] Speaker E: Hi, my name is Georgia and I'll be playing Cassandre, an ace of our sorcerer.
[00:07:00] Speaker B: Hi, I'm Tim and I'm playing Gardi, the Johnny Druid.
[00:07:05] Speaker A: And my name is DM Dan, the games master in this adventure.
In the wake of the Eschaton, when the world itself was shattered and reforged, the city of Ava Moor rose from the ashes. Not as a beacon of hope, as a beacon of hope and unity.
Under the banner of the rediscovery and the guidance of the Archmages, led by Arch Magister Meridius Radan, its people have walked far and wide, seeking the forgotten, the hidden and the lost.
Bonds have been rekindled between scattered communities.
Marvels of land and magic uncovered and hope brought to places where only ruin once lingered.
Yet for all of their progress, there has always been a quiet assumption that all who were found would gladly join under the shelter of Avermore's towers.
That those wandering in strange lands would consider themselves found.
Ava Moore may soon learn that some flags fly a different shade of unity.
And so we find the five of you, plus your unusual ally Kick Fran aboard the Tidebreaker, the large kind of galleon sized vessel captained by the pirate queen Elismira.
We find you a short while after your heroics resulted in the successful kind of capture of Exo's personal ship, the Wrathful Blade.
And in that time the. The crew of the Tiebreaker have largely primarily been doing kind of emergency repairs to the side of the ship that was rammed by the brutal assault ram of of the Wrathful Blade. Tending to their wounded of which the casualties are too high for Eladmira's liking and pilfering any ill gotten gains from the cargo hold from the hold of the Wrathful Blade.
Where do we find Griffin?
Is this.
[00:10:17] Speaker C: This is not pretty much straight after
[00:10:19] Speaker A: the like sometimes far so either we can find him like between the end of last episode and now like a short time has passed. But where. Where do we find Griffin? When we turn our attentions to Him.
[00:10:33] Speaker C: Oh, I would say.
I would say Griffin is with Cooper and he is trying to.
He's. He's trying to sort of chat with Cooper to kind of go and investigate the ship with him.
Like, we've, like we could find out anything. Like, this is.
[00:11:03] Speaker B: This is Exo's ship.
[00:11:04] Speaker C: Like, there might be something we can find that might be something again, like, we can use.
[00:11:10] Speaker B: I'm definitely down. Down for that. That might be really useful. Maybe even information on Exo that might be useful for. For later.
Yeah, let's do it.
Definitely. Game.
[00:11:25] Speaker A: So, in which case, between the two of you, as you kind of exclude. Excuse yourselves from sort of like in a. Well, I. I guess in a way, you're almost kind of uncomfortable backseat passengers as you watch as the kind of tiebreaker pulls itself back together.
But yeah, as you kind of delve a bit further into the, like, the areas of the tight of the wrathful blade that you hadn't explored yet, like during your counter assault, is there anywhere in particular that you're kind of focusing your searches?
I mean, you've. You've seen the sort of like the staging room, the staging area underneath the top deck that the marauders kind of poured out of. You've seen the actual, you know, top deck festooned with its various kind of ballistae and catapults.
[00:12:30] Speaker B: Is there like a captain's quarters, like, somewhere there be.
Can we, can we go snoop in the captain's quarters, please?
[00:12:38] Speaker A: You can indeed.
In which case, yeah, as you head to.
As you head towards the, like, the rear of the ship, underneath the sort of like the navigation deck, you know, where the captain's wheel is, you find.
In comparison to Elismira's room, you find a captain's quarters that is quite kind of basic, quite almost utilitarian.
And the large, empty kind of wooden post kind of mannequin that stands to the side of the. Of the small cabin belies the. Like. It is large enough that it belies the fact that this is where Exo's armor might hang.
But the thought of Exo not wearing his armor is potentially a.
An odd form.
[00:13:50] Speaker D: She's got a really tiny little body
[00:13:51] Speaker C: under the tiny net.
[00:13:57] Speaker A: But yes, in. In this room is the bed, the, like the armor, the armor rack, a. Like a largish kind of storage, luggage trunk.
So bed, desk, armor rack, trunk, and surprisingly little else.
Oh, I wonder where we look.
[00:14:24] Speaker B: Do you wanna. Which one do you want to go for, the desk or the luggage trunk? And we can swap.
[00:14:31] Speaker C: I think Griffin's gonna actually think he's being really helpful and looks under the bed.
[00:14:37] Speaker B: Beautiful.
[00:14:40] Speaker E: Dan?
[00:14:41] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:14:42] Speaker E: Can I put my hand up and assume that Cass would also have had this idea to go snooping in the ship and if Kufa is approaching.
Yeah, that's where she is. As Kufa approaches the desk, Cass just pops out.
[00:14:58] Speaker B: Jesus Christ.
Why, why, why are you under there? Why did you not announce yourself when we came in the room?
[00:15:09] Speaker E: Well, I. I heard you come in. I knew it was you, cuz the way that you walk.
[00:15:14] Speaker C: Great.
[00:15:16] Speaker B: Hi.
[00:15:16] Speaker E: Who's out there?
[00:15:17] Speaker B: Cooper, guess who.
[00:15:19] Speaker A: Struggling under the bed.
[00:15:22] Speaker E: No kicky feet.
[00:15:25] Speaker B: Cass is here.
[00:15:27] Speaker A: In which.
[00:15:27] Speaker B: Oh, hi Cass.
[00:15:29] Speaker A: Cass. As you sort of like emerge out from your like unexpected hiding spot, Cooper, you notice that in Cass's hand is what appears to be a like a tied sharp leather bound tome. A small book, diary sized even.
[00:15:56] Speaker B: Cool.
[00:15:58] Speaker E: This is all I could find if you were thinking of looking. She puts it down on the desk in front of him.
[00:16:04] Speaker B: Does it make like a big.
[00:16:05] Speaker A: Like it is. It is remarkably petite in size. Like it is extremely modest.
And Cass, you would. If you've kind of. If you've been ferreting around a little bit longer, I will jump in and say that this small book that you found, like the reason you're under the desk is because you've yet to find anything of kind of noteworthiness in EXO's room.
This diary you found seemingly came from the sort of like the chambers, if you will, of what you would assume to be the Graven Seer.
Perhaps Exo isn't a man of written word, but it would seem that the Graven Seer, that you're this kind of old.
Did you see the Graven Singer? I feel I. You. You would have seen.
[00:17:04] Speaker E: No, I think I. I saw his destruction from across the room, but I was busy. Chain lightning.
[00:17:11] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:17:11] Speaker A: Well, in which case, based off your. Based off the descriptions that Griffin and Cooper have given you.
Yeah, this, that sort of like the. The mysterious, the enigmatic kind of old like elderly lavar that kind of floated across the. The deck of the ship like a vengeful spirit.
Yes, this appears to be the Graven Seer's diary. But Exo.
Yeah, the. The room is relatively bare.
You haven't. Haven't checked the chest yet because you know the chest is locked.
[00:17:47] Speaker B: But I have an ability that gives me advantage on opening said lux.
[00:17:53] Speaker A: Yes, you do.
[00:17:55] Speaker B: Cool.
I'll look at the book and be like, that's great. Hopefully there might be something useful in there.
I'm Gonna open the trunk and I'm going to use my ability which I have not used the entire campaign as a road. We have it called pick and pull.
So I'm going to pull it out of my loadout. It's gonna let me do that. Remind me. Oh, send to vault.
[00:18:27] Speaker A: No, center loadout.
[00:18:29] Speaker B: Ah, I knew it. I knew it.
No, I got it wrong. There you go. There we go.
[00:18:35] Speaker A: Pick, pull. The second one down.
[00:18:38] Speaker B: No doubt. Okay.
[00:18:40] Speaker A: And then while you're at it, we'll do another pull out another four.
[00:18:45] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:18:45] Speaker E: It's so weird.
[00:18:46] Speaker B: It does that so much. Okay, so yeah, let me just pull out the rest of my
[00:18:55] Speaker A: pick and pull. Share the bird and never upstaged.
And if anyone else needs to update their loadout, this is a good cool.
[00:19:10] Speaker B: So I can send to chat.
Right.
Cool, cool, cool, cool.
[00:19:18] Speaker D: I never change.
[00:19:23] Speaker A: Advantage on action roles to pick non magical locks, disarm non magical traps, or steal items from a target through stealth.
Yeah, curiously not a magical lock.
[00:19:40] Speaker B: Cool.
So I can just.
I can. I would imagine I roll finesse.
[00:19:45] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely.
[00:19:46] Speaker B: To open finesse I would have advantage. Cool, cool, cool, cool.
Right, let's. Let's go team.
That's a 16 with hope.
[00:20:01] Speaker A: Okay, that will be enough. So the, the lock on the chest clicks with a satisfying click.
You gain your hope if you haven't already.
And yeah, the chest is heavy to like.
It feels as if like the, the leather kind of. The leather binding around this chest kind of creaks slightly as, as if it's not been opened in quite some time.
But this, this dusty deathly stench creeps out as you open the lid and inside.
What, what are you hoping to.
[00:21:08] Speaker B: That's a good question. I was hoping to find like maybe abandoned weapons or items of use that maybe we could make use of during the next fight.
Dummies guy, that would also be great. But I doubt that they just leave that in a non magical.
[00:21:27] Speaker C: Do not use this. It's my biggest thing.
[00:21:31] Speaker D: I am very scared of isis.
[00:21:33] Speaker C: I'm massively allergic to lemons or something.
[00:21:38] Speaker B: Yeah. But failing that, obviously we'd love that. But I'm saying that maybe some like potions that were left behind or weapons or bits of armor that would be useful to someone in our party.
[00:21:52] Speaker A: Okay. You roll with hope. So you find 5d12 worth of dice to roll on the loot or consumable loot and or consumable tables.
[00:22:08] Speaker B: Nice.
[00:22:09] Speaker A: So we'll do like real quickly. How do you want to divvy that up? Same as we did last time. You can roll up to 5D12, so that would mean you find a thing or you can do multiple smaller rolls.
I was just thinking we find a glider again.
[00:22:29] Speaker B: So I've just got. You stole my glider again.
Sorry. Give me the examples again. So I can either do find one thing or I can roll
[00:22:40] Speaker D: three. For example, we could throw three dice and two dice.
[00:22:43] Speaker A: I think two mid three and a two or four and a one or two or two and a one.
Okay, well, either the loot, which is like the permanent stuff, or the consumable, which is more powerful. But obviously one use.
[00:22:57] Speaker B: Let's. Let's do one loot, like big loot, and then four consumable.
[00:23:04] Speaker A: Okay. So 1d12 on the loot table, 4d12 on the consumable.
[00:23:08] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:23:09] Speaker A: Okay. As you opened it up, I'll leave this in your hand. So please run me a D12 for the loot table.
[00:23:16] Speaker B: Okay. Going
[00:23:21] Speaker C: eight.
[00:23:24] Speaker D: Hope it's a kite.
[00:23:26] Speaker A: It's not far off.
You find.
You find what appears to be like an a net.
You find this woven net. You can see that there is a design woven into the like the fabric of this net.
Like it's a. It's a hunting net, I should say a woven hunting net. You can see there is a design. And between the three of you, you acknowledge that the design woven into this net looks like. Bears striking resemblances to like the style of designs you've seen around Riceville,
[00:24:18] Speaker B: but
[00:24:19] Speaker A: specifically a woven net.
You can use this net to trap a small creature.
[00:24:26] Speaker B: So when Guardi gets out of hand
[00:24:32] Speaker A: and then roll me a 4D12 for the consumable.
[00:24:36] Speaker B: Okay, 40 12. 1, 2, 3, 4. 40 12. Let's go.
[00:24:46] Speaker A: 32.
I feel like you've already. You've now got two of these.
You find you. The potion that you find that Gardi then goes on to kind of identify for you a little bit later is a Homit's secret potion.
And after drinking this potion, the next successful attack you make critically succeeds.
I really feel like you've already had.
[00:25:20] Speaker B: I. I think we have as well, but that's still useful. So I feel like if you've got
[00:25:25] Speaker A: more than one, if you've got at least one, you might have two.
[00:25:29] Speaker B: Yay.
[00:25:31] Speaker A: However, as you open like the, the. The joy that you feel from finding a. A auto crit potion and a woven net is tempered slightly as I spend a fear because that stench of death emanates from the myriad of decapitated heads in this chest.
[00:26:02] Speaker B: That's just gross.
[00:26:03] Speaker A: The heads are wrapped and Bound are under the woven net and you have to pluck the potion from.
From. From the sort of like one of the heads rolls as you pull the potion out and it rocks. This like, right
[00:26:23] Speaker B: is my life. Okay, I got it. I got the things.
Something else in there, just heads
[00:26:31] Speaker A: and they strike you as trophies.
[00:26:38] Speaker B: Have I mentioned how much I hate this guy? Because I hate this guy.
[00:26:42] Speaker D: He's not looking after them very well, is he?
[00:26:44] Speaker C: I mean, what is he using?
That's the thing.
[00:26:52] Speaker A: Whilst this is. Whilst this is happening.
So, Griffin, you've managed to extract yourself from under the bed?
[00:26:59] Speaker C: Well, did I find anything under the bed?
[00:27:02] Speaker A: Roll. Roll me a.
Roll me a check.
[00:27:06] Speaker B: Come on.
[00:27:07] Speaker C: What kind of check?
[00:27:13] Speaker A: Roll me a.
Instinct.
[00:27:20] Speaker C: Instinct. Yeah. Roll Bed check.
[00:27:23] Speaker D: Okay. Roll for bed.
[00:27:24] Speaker C: Roll for bed.
[00:27:27] Speaker D: 14 scary glider.
[00:27:30] Speaker C: Scary.
[00:27:30] Speaker D: 14 glider.
[00:27:31] Speaker E: Glider.
[00:27:37] Speaker A: So you do not find anything under the bed. Under the 14.
[00:27:42] Speaker C: Just one of the heads that just
[00:27:43] Speaker A: pops up, just rolls underneath
[00:27:47] Speaker B: you.
[00:27:48] Speaker A: If nothing else, you find as you like. As you get stuck on like you're under the bed and as you're trying to wriggle out, you can see through a like a crack in the timber.
You can see like a pair of eyes, like floating above what appear to be a pair of fangs, like peering at you from the darkness. And as this thing seemingly starts to like this creature begins to emerge. And you kind of pull yourself out before it can sort of like attack, launch itself at you and attach yourself itself to your face. Okay.
Yes. As you free. As you free yourself with a clatter and a bang.
Cass Cooper has some ill gotten gains. You have a diary.
[00:28:42] Speaker E: Can I sort of see if I sense anything magical about the diary? Maybe like if it's cursed if you open it or there's sort of some sort of booby trap on it.
[00:28:53] Speaker A: With your arcane sense ability, you can sense that there is a light aura of like abduration magic.
So see, you know the. The leather book, the. The book is in.
It is undoubtedly old and well traveled, but the book itself is in relatively good nick. Like it's in good quality.
So you suspect that this, this kind of abduration enchantment is literally to make sure it's not kind of tarnished over what you would assume to be a long journey, especially at sea.
[00:29:38] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:29:40] Speaker A: No other sort of like no other gribblies.
[00:29:44] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:29:45] Speaker E: Cass will put it on the desk and she'll still use, I think. One sec. Let me check my inventory. Apparently, yeah, allegedly she has a great staff that she's never used.
I've never seen it. Nobody in the party's ever seen it.
[00:30:04] Speaker A: Have you got a Mary Poppins bag?
[00:30:06] Speaker E: Yeah, she just gets it out of her cloak.
It pops out the end of alimony and she'll use that to open just in case like conduct conductor thing.
[00:30:26] Speaker A: As you open the tome, this like small black leather down diary type tome.
Who. How are you lighting the room between the three of you? How are you lighting the room?
[00:30:46] Speaker B: It, like what time of day is it? Is there windows or is it kind of like a. Let's put on some candles sort of.
[00:30:52] Speaker A: It is like it is morning like relatively early. We'll be talking like 8, 9am morning because you guys worry perhaps even earlier because you guys pretty much left at dawn and like it's so, you know, 40 minute journey to the aisles.
So yeah, it's, it's probably not even like 8am okay.
The.
[00:31:21] Speaker B: The room is.
[00:31:23] Speaker A: Yeah, there are thick curtains, like dusty curtains that are covering over the, the one window into this room.
[00:31:35] Speaker B: Can I open the curtains?
Am I allowed? I'm a bit scared now. Let's, let's open the curtains. Okay, so let in some light.
[00:31:44] Speaker A: Okay, so the, the room is illuminated by this sort of like the, the beam of morning light kind of phasing in through the.
The window at the rear of the room, like above the. The head of the bed.
But Cass, as you open up this diary, the three of you almost feel like the room gets darker.
Like a gloom emanates from it and from like from sort of like arms length with the. Using the staff as a, like a literal ten foot pole almost.
You see that the writing is neat and legible and it starts with a date.
I.
It starts with a date from before.
It has a dating structure that is similar to the ones that you would have used before the War of Dragons.
But in a world where, you know, dating was regionally determined, much like, you know, we write our dates differently to the Americans for example.
But yeah, the diary starts from before the war.
It's hard to read at a distance. Are you getting in close now that it's not exploded or tried to kill you?
[00:33:23] Speaker E: Castle going okay. Curse of knowledge.
[00:33:28] Speaker B: Be careful please.
[00:33:30] Speaker E: I'm careful. I'm careful.
[00:33:33] Speaker A: You begin to leaf through the pages of a diary of a initiate, like a priestly initiate of the lords of life and death.
Ulavari.
The diaries of initiate Alavir.
The diary primarily contains musings on Ulavari's teachings.
The. The benevolence of Ulavari's kind of wisdom. The, the balance that the twin, the twin headed serpents maintains in keeping their duty and kind. And how to replicate that sense of balance in day to day life as an initiate.
And as you flick through the pages, you see that Alivir rises to power. Well, not power sort of rises through the ranks of the clergy until he finds himself as high watcher of the temple.
And then the war starts.
The notes become more sporadic, but the entries become more sporadic in timing.
And there is a long gap in passages.
There's a long break between the passages and the return. The. The first diary entry that is written in a long while.
It would seem that gods can die.
The passage starts.
[00:35:48] Speaker B: What.
[00:35:50] Speaker A: What bitter irony.
The twin headed serpent of the cycle of life and death.
[00:35:58] Speaker D: Death
[00:36:00] Speaker A: would be claimed by such a mortal frailty as death.
What happens now?
What comes of us?
If the immortal can perish, what hope do we have left?
And as you flick through the tomes a bit more on your gate, the date is still the same style as what it started with. But you real. How in. In your.
Like this is George's input, but in Cass mindset, how long did the eschaton last for Cass,
[00:36:45] Speaker E: in terms of what it felt like,
[00:36:51] Speaker A: I imagine we're talking a real like Armageddon Ragnarok, Skies on fire, oceans are freezing, ground's tearing itself apart, like everything's about to snap out of existence. How long did that last for?
[00:37:07] Speaker E: I think in terms of. I think she started it very interested, so seeing it as like a, A research opportunity and an exciting. There's an excitement to it.
And then as time went on and obviously she lost Cooper, it became less and less that even though she tried to maintain that sense of it, so I think for her it lasted about 13 years. It took to kind of.
[00:37:37] Speaker B: The war.
[00:37:38] Speaker A: The war in total, you mean? Okay, yeah, the. So the, the, the bit at the end, the eschaton, like that, like the world is literally breaking apart. How long did that last, do you. Do you think?
From sort of like. Yeah, the, the sky igniting and then across the world, people coming together in like prayer and hope. And the emergence of the world spirits, the defeat of Akana, all of that took place place in the eschaton. But yeah, all the while everything was breaking and warping.
[00:38:13] Speaker E: Feels like it was just the longest month.
[00:38:16] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:38:16] Speaker E: Like, you know how March 2020 felt? Like it took a decade. I think it was that kind of sensation.
[00:38:27] Speaker A: Okay.
As you leave, like the, the, the diary entries become a bit more rambly and you find. And Cooper Griffin, you see that Cass is almost sort of like you end up finding yourself just flicking through the pages because there's just. It's just mad like the rambling seemingly of a madman.
But Cass, there's a point where you have to pause and you sort of like from the pager on, you flick back to the start, you flick back to the page you're on and it we realize that Alvir experienced the eschaton for over 30 years.
The dates, style changes, it revert. It changes from a day, month, year, structure to just a week, week 47.
I have found a kindred spirit
[00:39:39] Speaker C: he
[00:39:41] Speaker A: I found a kindred spirit he has lost as I have.
Together.
We are found.
His name is Exo Draven.
And you find yourself as you go through the the following entries primarily list the Alvir now calling himself the Graven seer, following in EXO's footsteps like a disciple, an acolyte, detailing in vivid detail EXO's numerous conquests, the just and brutal slaughter of those who stand in EXO's way.
All in aid, all in aids to overthrow the greatest lie told by godly tongue that the mortals are lesser beings.
The diary moves on to discussions of EXO's investigations. His crusade that come seemingly reaches a fever pitch when he discovers a world spirit called Core Hisal.
The Hidden Arm, the Hidden Arbor.
Khorhi's all is difficult to find. It lurks in the shadows between root and branch.
It links the places of natural power across elsewhere testaments to Khor Hazal's efforts to rejuvenate elsewhere in the aftermath of the traitorous dream Dragons War. The the Lying Dragons War Through Kal we we can strike anywhere.
Through Khazal we can take the first step to EXO's retribution.
And the final few passages detail the great fight between Exo Draven and the Hidden Arbor, the world spirit Core Hisal, how it seemingly devoured Exo during the battle in this endless hunger only for it to be consumed in kind.
And from the fallout of their battle, Exo emerged a sickly green power radiating from him.
He had consumed a God and now Exo has become God.
The last few entries detail Exo's plan to return home to the Titan Isles.
For with Core his old self power, he knows that he can return home a place that it was cut off from him from after the Eschaton.
But he may return home to gorge upon the Titans that reside there.
And cass, You find as you take a moment to flick back to the Graven Seer's description and the mention of the unending hunger, you feel a tug in Your chest.
The same tug that you felt on your chest when you and Guardi were communing with Pfizer.
How your family were consumed by the unending hunger.
So what are you doing?
[00:45:03] Speaker B: Uk Cass.
[00:45:06] Speaker E: Yeah.
Yeah, I'm fine. I'm fine.
Well, I suppose that gives us some information.
[00:45:18] Speaker B: What did it say?
I'm afraid I can't read over your shoulder.
[00:45:22] Speaker E: I have been sort of like, nothing out the way. As he tries to.
I explain what she's just read.
[00:45:35] Speaker A: It has to be verbatim. You have to.
[00:45:40] Speaker E: Well,
[00:45:46] Speaker A: Yeah. So. Well, so Cass's rigorous. Has recited everything I've just said in
[00:45:53] Speaker E: a perfect rendition of Dan's voice as well.
[00:45:55] Speaker D: Yes. Just. I think that all, like, three of you are just, like, sitting there just, like, reading this diary. And Abe just kind of comes in just like, what are you doing in here? We went to be fixing the boat. Can't just be sitting in your room. We got stuff to do.
[00:46:11] Speaker E: He's got, like, lumber over his shoulder.
[00:46:19] Speaker A: Finished. Like he's just finished pushing the wrathful blade out the side of the side break.
[00:46:27] Speaker B: Him and boss have just been bossing it.
[00:46:31] Speaker D: You bunch of lazy so and so.
[00:46:36] Speaker B: It's a good cause, Abe.
[00:46:38] Speaker D: We.
[00:46:38] Speaker B: We're trying to find out more about what's going on with Exo. I think we might have found it.
[00:46:44] Speaker D: That little book he wrote, that creepy
[00:46:49] Speaker B: guy floating around that we got rid of.
Yeah.
[00:46:58] Speaker D: What did you say right now, Cass? Now you have to go all over again.
[00:47:04] Speaker E: Regurgitates again in a perfect rendition of Dan's voice.
[00:47:11] Speaker A: And just as you finish, Gardy walks here.
What are you doing?
[00:47:18] Speaker B: Poor Cass.
It should be Chinese whispers. Instead it should be Cass has said it. So then Cooper has to try and do it, but obviously it's Chinese whispers. So he obviously gets it wrong and gets beaten up by Cass. And then Griffin tries to do it for when Guardi cancer. It's even worse than the ph of before.
[00:47:36] Speaker D: The name's telling boson on the thing.
He's got.
[00:47:39] Speaker A: Oh, he died.
[00:47:40] Speaker D: But then he didn't really die. No, he. God.
[00:47:48] Speaker A: Where's Cass at right now?
Headspace wise?
[00:47:52] Speaker E: I think she's.
She's taking it. I think she's using this in the information to sort of bolster this. This little fire that's going on in her chest.
That's like. Okay. The more information I have about this, the more I know about what happened, the more succinctly and artfully I can murk this man when we get into contact with him.
Also, you know, on A slightly lesser note, perhaps destroy whatever has caused this internal hunger within him and stop it from happening again. Or perhaps possessing someone else. Who knows? But that's a slightly smaller detail.
[00:48:34] Speaker D: So did we ascertain that the hunger came after he ate?
[00:48:40] Speaker E: So I think this. The spirit ate him and then he ate the spirit.
[00:48:46] Speaker D: But did the hunger come from him eating the spirit?
Did he inherit that?
[00:48:52] Speaker E: I feel like he inherited it when he was eaten and then he used that. I'm sensing a chestburster situation.
[00:49:02] Speaker A: You note that from the Graven Seer's description, which very much matched the impression you got from Faiza.
You know, Exo came into contact with this. Kor Hazal vanished. That.
[00:49:19] Speaker B: You.
[00:49:20] Speaker A: You notice the terminology is very similar. He vanished upon contact with Corazal as if he were consumed, but he later emerged the victor. Bless you.
[00:49:38] Speaker B: Hello.
[00:49:39] Speaker A: Welcome, welcome, welcome.
So, yes, it would seem.
Well, I guess that is as a. An. As an eternal. Well, it's not an eternal question. There might well be an answer to it.
That is a pressing question. Did he inherit or.
[00:49:55] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:49:57] Speaker E: What came first?
[00:49:58] Speaker A: Yeah, but it does. You know, you. You have got a bit more context in that. Yeah. The nature of Corazal, unlike Father Pfizer and Burunam, that seem to have, you know, strictly physical forms that you can kind of poke at and, you know, in Pfizer's case, clamber over core. Hisal seems distinctly more like ephemeral. Ethereal is the. It is the pathways between hidden paths, like hidden roots.
[00:50:35] Speaker E: There's more of a.
An idea made manifest than like a solid Titan thing.
[00:50:43] Speaker D: Yeah, it's just a vibe.
[00:50:44] Speaker E: Just a vibe. Just vibes.
[00:50:46] Speaker D: Vibes.
[00:50:47] Speaker E: Exo8 the vibe.
[00:50:51] Speaker D: This sucks the vibe out of the room every time.
[00:50:57] Speaker A: So is there any.
Is there anything. We keep anything being said that we keep the camera on for a moment or do we move on?
[00:51:08] Speaker D: Is there an end point? Like, was he writing this diary up until the point of.
Is it like a hobbit where he's just like.
[00:51:20] Speaker A: The final entry you note is a few days old and it ties into their arrival on the isles.
[00:51:30] Speaker D: Does it mention anything. Does it mention anything about worries now?
Has he got anything in there about where he is this second?
[00:51:40] Speaker A: Well, hey, we. We may. We may.
[00:51:43] Speaker B: Well,
[00:51:46] Speaker A: we may well need to retcon that ever so slightly because if you've walked across the deck of the Wrathful Blade to be in the captain's quarters
[00:51:57] Speaker D: with a mask,
[00:52:02] Speaker A: you may well already have a bit of an answer.
As from your. Like the ship. The ship that you're in.
So the Tidebreaker, like the. The fight that you fought, takes place just off the eastern coast of the south eastern island.
So for all extents and purposes, You find yourself.
So you've sailed from Dorlishal sort of like south around the southern islands. And then you're heading up into this bay, which is when you had your attack.
So as you were walking across the deck, you would have seen that to the north of you.
Let me move here.
There to the north, you can see there are great pillars of smoke rising from the Titan Isles.
Smoke.
The billows out of what appear to be rivers of lava running down from the caldera that you know once housed Burunan.
And even from this sizable distance, you can see that there is a raging fire that spreads across the Titan Isles like an endless hunger.
So perhaps the question of where is Exo.
[00:54:07] Speaker B: This isn't.
[00:54:09] Speaker A: Is here.
[00:54:12] Speaker D: So he's still there. He hasn't come home yet.
[00:54:19] Speaker C: He might be having a nap.
[00:54:20] Speaker E: I was gonna say he's had a big meal. He used to, you know, recuperate. He said de stress.
[00:54:31] Speaker A: Yes.
What's. What's the plans? Batman's.
[00:54:39] Speaker B: Gonna fix this I. This mounting job and then that guy is gonna
[00:54:51] Speaker D: go do the mountain thing and then take that guy out.
[00:54:55] Speaker C: Yeah, that guy out.
[00:54:58] Speaker A: Yes. Livy,
[00:55:02] Speaker D: was.
[00:55:02] Speaker A: Was I about to say something very profound?
[00:55:07] Speaker D: He's always.
[00:55:08] Speaker A: Whenever A takes in a deep breath, I feel like everyone in the room would turn to look to him.
[00:55:14] Speaker E: Oh God, it's Professor A. He's returned.
[00:55:23] Speaker D: I was gonna say I was just sighing of having to.
[00:55:30] Speaker B: To do.
[00:55:31] Speaker D: To do things, you know, just. It's not.
They've never imagined this. It's a lot of stuff to sort out and you know, he just wants.
Just wants to grow peas.
Well, as did the guys know that the island is on fire?
[00:55:55] Speaker A: I think the like certainly since these three have been.
Well, I think certainly since these three have been running around. So Abe, you would have seen Gardi like stood at the rear of the. The raffle blade just like looking.
And I. I won't fool myself into trying to do.
[00:56:16] Speaker D: Do it.
[00:56:17] Speaker A: A Guardi voice but like Gardy turns to you and the look on his face shows that the sight that he sees in front of him, it feels too familiar, too literally too close to home.
And there's a. There's an almost pleading look in his eye as he turns his kind of turns away for you to look back at this gargantuan wildfire.
[00:56:48] Speaker D: Oh, bless him.
Yeah. I think A will give him like A little squeeze on the shoulder.
Big hand. Little man, little squeeze.
And we know. I'll go get the others and then.
[00:57:05] Speaker A: Sure.
[00:57:06] Speaker D: And he's like, you guys looked outside.
[00:57:11] Speaker B: We look outside. We go outside to.
[00:57:14] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:57:15] Speaker B: Well, I think we joined guardi then.
[00:57:19] Speaker A: To.
To frame in your mind's eye the billowing black smoke from. Rises from the northeastern corner of the Titan Isles.
In the morning light, it almost looks like the black smoke is in fact a. A dark gauntleted hand reaching down and crushing the land under its grip.
Flickers and embers that you know in reality are kind of roaring infernos blossoming up into the air.
Whatever you plan to do in the mountain, and you know that Kick Fran is supposed that there will be some sort of tool or weapon you might find in there to use against exo. Whatever your search is, you'll need to be quick before this fire consumes the whole island.
[00:58:26] Speaker B: No hanging around.
[00:58:28] Speaker A: Yeah. Hey, you know that it's been like less than 24 hours.
Like it's been about 12 hours. And the spread of the fire is just.
[00:58:42] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:58:42] Speaker A: Incredible.
And in another 12 hours time, you suppose that perhaps Riceville Nile will be nothing but ashes and dust. Yeah.
[00:59:05] Speaker D: Is the ship worth.
[00:59:08] Speaker A: Say again?
[00:59:09] Speaker D: Is the ship back on track?
[00:59:12] Speaker A: Well, so as the. As the five of you peer over from sort of like the length across the length of the wrathful blade from the deck of the tiebreaker, you hear Ellasmira kind of shout out, we've come as close as we can get to the island.
We'll. We'll unwinch the rowboats for you. She yells out.
[00:59:39] Speaker B: Thanks.
[00:59:43] Speaker D: Right.
[00:59:43] Speaker B: Is everything all right with the boat?
[00:59:47] Speaker A: No, Cooper, it's got a hole in it.
[00:59:51] Speaker B: I meant are you handling it? God.
[00:59:58] Speaker A: You see, like Ella's mirror, just do a.
Gestures widely to her crew.
[01:00:10] Speaker D: Bits of splinter in their face.
[01:00:14] Speaker E: They also do it.
[01:00:19] Speaker A: Boson throw something at you. It falls short.
Yes. No, they do seem like they've.
It is a grievous wound that's been dealt to the tiebreaker, but thankfully the. The ram hole is above water because if it had been below, the tiebreaker would have surely capsized by now.
[01:00:41] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:00:42] Speaker A: But yes, the tiebreaker is in a delicate point, a delicate position, but she'll survive.
[01:00:49] Speaker D: Great. Grab all your stuff. We're off.
[01:00:52] Speaker A: Okay. All right.
[01:00:55] Speaker D: 3 Guardian,
[01:00:59] Speaker A: in which case, well, so hovering.
So Kick Fran. I need him does in fact join. Join your expedition?
Yeah, he like between like three rowboats load into the water for you to. To sail in on.
You're accompanied by a fourth Rowboat that is filled with like kind of filled with crew from the RA from the tiebreaker, so they can bring the rowboats back.
Um, but yeah, thankfully like Ellis Mirror, like Ellis Mira's kind of piloting scheme skills are good enough that she's managed to get the tiebreaker quite close to the shore. So the row is relatively short.
When we find like you make it onto shore and what strikes you, unlike where you've kind of made landfall before, like due north of Dorlishal where that was sort of like a beach that kind of slowly there was a bit of a marshal swamp and then it became kind of forested area.
This, this area, this island, the, the forest boundary is almost immediate.
There is like less than a, a few dozen meters of beach land before you hit the edge of the forest.
Abe, how do you feel about going into this forest knowing that it is more dangerous?
Like there is a reason why the keepers of Riceville Nar give this island, this isle of White Birth.
[01:02:52] Speaker D: Yeah, I think sort of a little bit.
Worried for sure. Probably not a belt himself, more about the people that he's with.
But I think his, his main concern, he's kind of laser focused at this point and he's just like, just wants to get going so he can get to this mountain so he can find this so called weapon and then stop everything from burning.
So yeah, worried, but not really for himself.
[01:03:34] Speaker C: Sure.
[01:03:36] Speaker A: What would you say, Abe, as the six of you kick, Fran included, What's the thing that most takes your notice as you begin venturing into this?
Like it's is primarily like dense, almost like jungle overgrowth.
Yeah, what, what kind of, what landmark, what event, what. You know, what thing takes A's notice the most as you begin your journey through.
[01:04:10] Speaker D: I think what takes his or what he's mindful of is just how dense it is in which you couldn't see some. If somebody went a few meters ahead, you wouldn't be able to see them anymore. Even a meter ahead.
That's how dense and dark it is in here.
So there's just a lot of vines and low hanging trees and everything and it's just incredibly.
Yeah, just dense. I think Abe's just like keep close, don't, don't lose formation trying to get everyone in like holding on to the back of each other pretty much like Japanese school kids. Just everyone just hold on, little ducklings.
Because it was the same. Take one person, just you wouldn't be able to find anything again.
[01:05:15] Speaker A: Okay.
So just the sheer, like the sheer density of.
[01:05:23] Speaker D: Yeah, everything's dense. The air is dense.
Yeah.
[01:05:26] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:05:26] Speaker D: Heat is dense.
[01:05:28] Speaker A: It's just thick on top of the fact that you're also on an incline upwards as you begin to crest the. The curve of the mountain side. Okay, what's. What catches Cooper's attention?
[01:05:50] Speaker B: Trying to think mountain side.
I think it's the. The sounds of the forest are a lot.
Everything's dense and dark and I feel like the.
The wildlife.
Actually, you know what? I don't think there is much sound of wildlife like compared to before where we were near Westona. I feel like we had a lot of like, like critters and like little squeals and birds flapping and that sort of thing. But here there's very little of that.
It feels people like, even the animals give this location as much of a wide berth as they can.
[01:06:31] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:06:32] Speaker B: And it like that is worrying if even the wildlife don't like being in this part of the island.
And whilst Cooper is not a wildlife boy, he's a city boy. He knows that, you know, places where animals flourish are usually safer.
That's what he's feeling, Elliot. Yeah. It makes him a bit unnerved. I think as.
[01:07:03] Speaker A: Cooper as you kind of take notice of the seeming lack of life like wildlife in your air in your vicinity, you all hear crack of something.
You hope it's a branch off to the. So like off to your left and. But as Abe said, the foliage is so thick and dense you can't see it. But the sound travels seemingly perfectly like everyone to make me you.
I think it's got to be a presence check.
A presence reaction check. I'm going to spend a fear to ask you to also do this.
Ab is fine.
Griffin is fine.
Cass is not fine.
Oh no.
[01:08:18] Speaker B: Cooper's not found.
Of course.
[01:08:24] Speaker A: I hope, I hope I don't break him.
Gardy is not fine.
[01:08:36] Speaker D: Just us tough boys.
Yay.
[01:08:40] Speaker B: Griffin's like I wasn't left behind. Yay.
[01:08:47] Speaker A: Cass, Cooper and Gardi all suffer too stress at the sound of this snapping phone. Like this snapping noise that pierces the silence like a blade.
[01:09:03] Speaker E: What happens if you overstress? What happens if you.
[01:09:06] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[01:09:08] Speaker D: What if you hit stress?
Then you start taking hit points instead of stress.
[01:09:14] Speaker A: If you take stress, if you accuse accumulate any amount of stress while stre more stress maxed, you take one hit point.
That said, would you have had time for a short rest?
[01:09:32] Speaker B: I mean, would we after the pirates up to now, we wouldn't have moved. So it had just been helping on the ship and searching.
[01:09:42] Speaker E: Unless our little Time in the cabin counts as a short rest. While we were all reading the diary,
[01:09:47] Speaker D: having a bedtime story, telling a bedtime story from Cass.
[01:09:51] Speaker A: I.
Okay, yeah, I think you probably will have time for a short rest because you would have been delayed because the ship needed to get patched together a little bit.
So.
Yeah, real quick, obviously, if you wanna. If you want to de stress, because I know a lot of you are heavily stressed.
We're like, roll that off and then just deduct 2 from it.
[01:10:18] Speaker D: You.
[01:10:18] Speaker A: If you. If you failed.
[01:10:21] Speaker B: Okay,
[01:10:27] Speaker D: Nice.
[01:10:28] Speaker A: So a repairing his armor.
[01:10:32] Speaker C: Does anyone want to do a prepare?
[01:10:34] Speaker D: I'll do a prepare.
[01:10:35] Speaker C: Yay.
[01:10:38] Speaker D: Does that mean we get two hope?
[01:10:41] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah.
[01:10:44] Speaker B: Cass, do you want to prepare? Do you need to prepare?
[01:10:47] Speaker E: I also need to repair my armor slots.
[01:10:49] Speaker B: Then that's fine. Okay, cool. It's all good.
[01:10:52] Speaker A: I also Guardi may well want to prepare with you.
[01:10:56] Speaker B: Okay, we'll do that.
[01:10:58] Speaker A: Tim loves to prepare.
[01:10:59] Speaker D: Tim loves Baron.
[01:11:03] Speaker B: Okay, prepare. And is it a stress?
[01:11:06] Speaker A: It's D4 stress, isn't it? Yeah, I hope I do you fight him.
Oh, no, I've not done you right at all.
[01:11:13] Speaker D: Oh, no.
Did you, Realm?
[01:11:16] Speaker A: Okay, so Guardi is one less stress and he's plus two Hope. Cool.
And yeah, we need to remember the.
[01:11:28] Speaker B: Oh, my God, you're joking.
Oh, it's okay.
[01:11:32] Speaker D: Cool.
[01:11:35] Speaker B: I was at 4 stress that I take off.
[01:11:37] Speaker D: You take off? Yeah.
[01:11:38] Speaker B: Cool.
[01:11:40] Speaker A: Plus three. Is it always plus three?
I thought that was just in the long wrists.
[01:11:46] Speaker E: It's plus your modifier.
[01:11:48] Speaker B: Yeah, it says modifiers first thing.
[01:11:51] Speaker A: Yeah, modifier. Which modifier?
[01:11:54] Speaker C: I think.
[01:11:54] Speaker A: Or is it here? Okay. Okay. So Cardi is fine because you're professional.
[01:12:00] Speaker B: And then it's two, four prepare, isn't it?
[01:12:02] Speaker A: Correct.
[01:12:03] Speaker D: Oh, cool.
[01:12:04] Speaker A: That's fine.
[01:12:04] Speaker B: Yeah, cool, thank you. Yeah. Still have two stress. It's all fine.
[01:12:08] Speaker A: It's all fine. It's all fine. Right, so come here. Yes.
[01:12:13] Speaker B: You hear.
[01:12:14] Speaker A: You say. You hear this crack. Some of you have stressed out a little more.
So Guardi. Well, Sigardi would now be at 2.
How much stress did Cass have?
[01:12:27] Speaker E: Cass now has and Cooper, actually.
[01:12:30] Speaker B: And I. I had four stress. I got forced. I removed four stress. I now added to add the two back up.
[01:12:37] Speaker A: Okay, perfect.
[01:12:38] Speaker B: Otherwise I'd have been on six of six stress.
[01:12:41] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:12:41] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:12:41] Speaker A: Okay.
So in which case, yeah, we.
We. We move on a bit further.
[01:12:51] Speaker B: What.
[01:12:53] Speaker A: What point of interest.
Peaks, like, grabs Cass's attention.
[01:13:01] Speaker E: I think it's with the heaviness in the air and just the denseness of everything surrounding Them. I think it comes with this pervasive sense of being watched.
I think that's, you know, that's everywhere in the Titana Isles where you're in a forested area. But I think here, this especially, it's the most noticeable.
[01:13:25] Speaker A: Okay.
And I can only imagine that that sentiment feels stronger because of the. The jump scare that you all had a moment ago.
[01:13:39] Speaker E: Feel like confirmation.
[01:13:43] Speaker A: In which case, as you cast, how do you feel relieved or like relieved or aggrieved when the.
Oh. Like the overgrowth seemingly begins to get sparser space between trees grows to a much more kind of comfortable distance up until the point where the trees are replaced with ever steepening rocky ground and rocky crags.
Like as the forest gives way to the side of the mountain.
[01:14:31] Speaker E: I. Cass is delighted because this can fly.
[01:14:36] Speaker A: Yes, very true. This is very, very true.
Okay, so, yeah, Cass, you feel a bit relieved, but we find the fight. The six of you, let's say, as you peer up, you realize that to scale this like this section of mountain, it's quite steep and like steep. Steep and craggy.
So yeah, we'll need to do a little, like, do a little climbing montage.
[01:15:11] Speaker C: Is this where we all come out of forge and log into peak?
[01:15:15] Speaker A: Yes,
[01:15:18] Speaker B: apart from me, because I can't play. So I have to rely on Dan.
[01:15:28] Speaker A: I have been practicing on. On peak for this. For this very moment.
So the. The way we're gonna.
Well, do the six of you want to go this like.
Like do it solo or do you want to do like group.
Group efforts.
[01:15:49] Speaker D: I ain't let these guys drag me down.
[01:15:53] Speaker A: Okay, so. So Abe. Abe's going solo?
[01:15:57] Speaker D: No, I'm more than happy to assist as I have stats and heritages that bring me great advantages.
[01:16:07] Speaker A: Well, I mean, you know, it for all its certain purposes, like if Abe wanted to go up, like go up first or if Cass wanted to fly up first or you know, anything along those lines to then get to the top and then help out others. Well, that's an option. How do you want to. How do you want to tackle this incline?
[01:16:29] Speaker E: And I. I need some hope before I can do anything.
[01:16:34] Speaker D: I mean, I'm happy to get to the top and hoist people.
[01:16:38] Speaker E: We do have rope.
[01:16:39] Speaker D: And then.
Yeah, I just can't remember. Abe's Royce.
[01:16:43] Speaker C: How much hope do you need, Cass?
[01:16:46] Speaker E: I think I need two hope if I want to get someone up to the top. And then obviously I need a hope to get down and then to hope to get someone else up. So I need quite a lot of Hope. If I want to get everyone up.
[01:16:57] Speaker B: I mean, I'm. I have quite good finesse, which means I should be okay at climbing.
Should be okay. And I do have hope. So I can potentially assist someone else by spending hope.
So I'm not too concerned about.
[01:17:17] Speaker E: And I can get Griffin up there. Unless he's a scrambly boy.
[01:17:27] Speaker A: Griffin's never climbed a mountain in his life.
[01:17:31] Speaker C: I'm saying because I have.
[01:17:33] Speaker D: I could take Gardi. I could just. Penelope.
[01:17:36] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:17:36] Speaker E: Well, then I imagine words that can
[01:17:38] Speaker C: give you some hope
[01:17:42] Speaker A: just to quickly, like spin to the rule book. If you wanted to do a collective group action role, you could pick someone to be the leader of the role, and then so that'll be like the client role. And then everyone who wants to help can then describe how they're helping. We roll a role dependent on how you're helping, and then for everyone succeeds, the. The role leader would get plus one. For everyone that fails the role lead, we get minus one.
So you could do that, and then everyone passes if everyone fails.
[01:18:17] Speaker D: Yeah, just go for it.
[01:18:19] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:18:20] Speaker D: Haven't done that mechanic before. Just give it a go.
[01:18:22] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:18:23] Speaker A: Okay. So who is group leader?
[01:18:27] Speaker E: I think probably.
[01:18:28] Speaker B: It's probably.
[01:18:29] Speaker D: Oh. Oh,
[01:18:33] Speaker A: okay. So, Abe, you are leading the group.
We'll start from. In our marching order. Cooper, how are you helping the party as a whole get up this incline?
[01:18:47] Speaker B: I mean, if we're. If we're going down the a With rope deal and using rope to kind of help everyone get up, I feel like maybe because Cooper has quite a lot of finesse and is probably quite good at the parkouring of it all, maybe he's helping guide other people so he's able to climb up a bit further and helping people placing their foot wherever, like, whoever is actually doing climbing, even if they've got Abe as the safety net going up.
So, yeah, I'd be using my finesse to climb up and then assist people from different vantage points.
[01:19:22] Speaker A: Okay. Okay.
Yeah, Roll me your
[01:19:28] Speaker B: finesse.
[01:19:29] Speaker A: Yeah, roll me finesse.
[01:19:38] Speaker B: Could. Could I argue that I could spend a hope because it's still quite.
I learned all my parkouring from my street smarts, so it's technically, you can say no, I would go on there.
[01:19:54] Speaker A: Thanks, Mr. Six Hope over there.
[01:19:58] Speaker B: I mean, it's only because I prepared. You let me prepare. I was gonna be like, okay, cool.
[01:20:04] Speaker A: Let's.
[01:20:05] Speaker B: Let's see.
So 19 with hope.
[01:20:11] Speaker A: Okay, 19 with hope. That is a success.
Oh, so these. Sorry, Ben Bond. These are reaction roles. So there's no hope. But it's a 19. So Abe, you get. You're on plus one so far.
Next along Cass. How is Cass helping?
[01:20:29] Speaker E: I mean Cass has.
What was I just looking at?
She has natural climber.
[01:20:37] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:20:38] Speaker E: As an ancestry.
So she's. I think she's also used to climbing around. She used to be something of an adventurer back in the day. So this isn't the first mountain she's climbed.
She can also do small harmless effects with her lightning magic. I don't know if there's something she could do in terms of like wind direction to make sure that they're not being blown down upon. But that's more like wind magic than it is thunder magic.
[01:21:12] Speaker A: If you want to go down the like the magicy route, that will be a spell cast role. So insight for you if you're helping out from a natural climber kind of perspective. I suspect that's probably going to be like agility. If it's more what you're doing, like knowledge. I guess if you're applying that knowledge to where to go, how to go, obviously then you get an advantage on that.
[01:21:45] Speaker E: Yeah, I suppose I gets an advantage on natural climber. Does that.
[01:21:49] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:21:49] Speaker E: Would you say? Yeah, yeah.
[01:21:50] Speaker A: So yeah, if you, if you're doing anything around the art of climbing, you'll get advantage. If you want to do anything magicky, then we just go straight inside.
[01:21:59] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah.
[01:21:59] Speaker E: I'll go natural climber. So she's. She's not a hindrance in the climbing chain.
[01:22:04] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:22:06] Speaker E: Sorry. That was an agility.
[01:22:08] Speaker A: Agility. If it's. Yeah. The stuff that you.
[01:22:11] Speaker D: Cool.
[01:22:18] Speaker E: That's a 16 with fear.
[01:22:20] Speaker A: So no, luckily we we're not too fussed about the fear. Right.
[01:22:30] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:22:31] Speaker A: Sorry. 16. That will be fine.
Hi, Griffin.
[01:22:37] Speaker B: Hello.
[01:22:38] Speaker A: How's Griffin doing?
[01:22:39] Speaker C: Probably just not getting in the way.
[01:22:43] Speaker A: How is. Do we. Do we feel Griffin? Where in the pack is Griffin?
[01:22:50] Speaker C: I think he's.
I kind of get the feeling that he's probably trying to be as close to Abe as possible.
Like he doesn't want it. Yeah. He doesn't want to get lost. So he is kind of giving the eye to Abe to give him a little bit of a piggyback.
[01:23:11] Speaker A: Yeah.
Okay. In which case, Abe. Yeah. Before you start your ascent, Griffin's like giving you the eye for uppies.
But Abe, you can't help but your eye can't help but be drawn to.
The blind man stood behind Griffin and like kick Fran.
His rapier now in the guise of an umbrella again is just sort of like patient, like both hands on the handle of the umbrella. Blah. And it's just patiently waiting for the. The five of you to mobilize.
[01:23:56] Speaker D: Did Abe see him teleport across a battlefield?
[01:24:02] Speaker A: Oh, am I. Yeah.
Yeah, I think he. I think he would have.
[01:24:05] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:24:06] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:24:06] Speaker D: I don't need no help then does.
True.
[01:24:12] Speaker A: This is very true. Kick fan seems utterly nonplussed by this physical endeavor.
But I mean between the. Between the four of you because I know that Guardi does not make judgments on. Upon others.
But how. How have you felt seeing that? Kick Fran has quite effortlessly been picking his way through this overgrowth despite his seeming disability.
[01:24:46] Speaker D: I mean Abe doesn't trust him as far as he can throw him. I mean he could throw him pretty far, but he doesn't trust him at all.
I think occasionally you just can't just occasionally just sees if you can catch him looking.
See looking around.
Kick Fran.
[01:25:17] Speaker A: Kick Fran just sort of like turns his attention to you and just waiting.
Waiting for something to happen.
[01:25:29] Speaker D: We're going up. You coming up
[01:25:33] Speaker A: after you. He says.
[01:25:39] Speaker D: I guess you get uppies. Then he says to Griffin, hey,
[01:25:44] Speaker A: so yeah, how's. How's Griffin helping in this endeavor?
[01:25:48] Speaker C: I think Griffin is just gonna.
Let's. Let's say I'm gonna use an instinct check and he's. If he's going to be climbing up onto Abe's back, I think he's just gonna keep an eye out for like potential.
Like rocks. Rocks that are safe to hold on to.
[01:26:09] Speaker D: Left, left.
[01:26:09] Speaker B: Hey.
[01:26:10] Speaker D: Left, right. No
[01:26:14] Speaker A: using your horns as handlebars
[01:26:19] Speaker D: out of this.
[01:26:20] Speaker B: Stuff like that.
[01:26:21] Speaker C: Yeah. Just keeping an eye out seeing what could be like a next potential sort of like hand hold.
What could be like a better sort of ascent up the mountain.
[01:26:33] Speaker B: I will do.
[01:26:34] Speaker C: Could I. I'm also going to spend a hope and use. I've got your back as well.
[01:26:39] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:26:40] Speaker C: Some extra.
[01:26:41] Speaker A: Literally I'm on your back.
[01:26:50] Speaker D: Could.
[01:26:50] Speaker B: Could I add.
I think as. So Griffin's obviously going to Abe for uppies and we got kicked around there and I think originally Cooper was going to like put his hand down be like I can. I can help you Griffin. And it's then he realizes that the sigil on his hand is gone.
Cuz he hasn't really had a chance to figure that out.
And I think he just goes very quiet, doesn't quite know what to make of it yet, but keeps that information to himself because everyone's a bit busy and continues climbing. But I think as he's like gone to go like I'll help. I'll I'll help.
[01:27:30] Speaker A: And.
[01:27:31] Speaker B: Oh, okay. Interesting.
I'll add that into the mixing pot. Okay.
[01:27:43] Speaker A: A 17 from Griffin is a success. Yay.
Gardy.
Will.
Let's say that Gardy actually spent some stress to turn into a bird. And he's just flying. He's got. He's got literal bird eyes view.
So, Abe, your companions have all been useful in their endeavors.
You, please make me your climb roll. So be agility. I feel nice.
[01:28:13] Speaker D: Strength.
[01:28:14] Speaker A: Is it Fine.
[01:28:16] Speaker D: I'm literally carrying a human on my back and using my sheer physicality as a goat man.
[01:28:29] Speaker E: But does it require strength to pick off Griffin is the question.
Just like you.
[01:28:33] Speaker B: Just two fingers.
[01:28:36] Speaker A: If we're going along the route of explanation of I am lifting my body up this mountain rather than I'm maneuvering my way up a rock face.
[01:28:46] Speaker D: I'm lifting my body up.
It's just a bench press.
[01:28:51] Speaker A: It's just. Just one long arm reach. And then.
Okay, you. You can use straight. You can use straight.
[01:29:06] Speaker D: So great.
Plus, I'm Ridgeborn, so advantage. Yeah, plus advantage. Plus situational bonuses. How many? Plus five.
[01:29:20] Speaker A: Three.
[01:29:21] Speaker D: Three.
One.
I thought I got plus for everyone. Not gi.
[01:29:28] Speaker A: I missed three of them.
[01:29:31] Speaker C: Not for Guardi.
[01:29:32] Speaker D: Not for G.
Oh, see what flew up? I thought he was providing a bird's eye view. I think he's gonna.
[01:29:40] Speaker A: You hear a kaka.
[01:29:42] Speaker D: It's plotting. Okay.
[01:30:11] Speaker C: Nice, nice.
[01:30:15] Speaker B: And I was like.
[01:30:19] Speaker A: It really was just one big oomph, wasn't it?
Okay.
[01:30:23] Speaker B: Wow.
[01:30:24] Speaker E: Superhero landing.
[01:30:27] Speaker A: But I believe that is a normal role. So it is 29 with hope.
But let me check to see if that's just for Abe or for. I think it might well just be for a. But I'll check that in a sec. Yeah, it's 29, so. Yeah.
[01:30:45] Speaker D: The.
[01:30:45] Speaker A: The five of you.
Yeah. Well, the four of you effortlessly make your way up. You're met by Gardi in is sort of like eagle form, like, awaiting you as you crest the. The peak of this. Of this climb.
And then Griffin, you can't help but sort of like, glance down as Abe's going over. Over the top the of. Of the ridge.
And then you watch as, like, Kick Fran seemingly tilts his head to. In the ver. Commas look up at you. And then there is a.
And he disappears into a ball of wispy black smoke. And then as he reappears next to Abe.
Well, next to Guardi, causing Gardi to sort of like, squawk in surprise as Kick Fan just materializes alongside you.
Shall we continue?
Kick Fran says show off.
[01:31:51] Speaker D: You
[01:31:53] Speaker A: as you.
As you continue your journey sort of like up but this path that kind of winds up and around the mountain.
Who.
Who is anyone like designated lookout?
Does anyone offer themselves as tribute?
[01:32:17] Speaker D: I mean is. Are you still on my back, Griffin? Yeah, you could be designated look out then. I mean you're a head higher than even eight on my shoulders like a kid.
[01:32:32] Speaker C: Like a toddler.
[01:32:34] Speaker D: Hold on to my horns.
[01:32:37] Speaker B: That's a good point. Guardi is currently a bird so he can just fly way out. Look.
Okay, maybe both of you. We could have both of us.
[01:32:46] Speaker A: So tell you what. Yeah.
Griffin, if you're a fan effect fundamentally being used as a periscope, please roll me a reaction instinct.
Guardi will do the same.
[01:33:07] Speaker C: Reaction instinct.
[01:33:13] Speaker D: N.
[01:33:19] Speaker B: 17.
[01:33:20] Speaker A: Okay.
In which case Guardi.
Guardi makes some sort like coring noises to you. So sort of like get your attention.
And Griffin off the back of a 17 that's high enough.
[01:33:37] Speaker B: You.
[01:33:39] Speaker A: Your eyes are drawn to.
You notice that like you. You start to see tell what do you see.
You see a clearing like on the side of this mountain.
It's not particularly large, but there are the telltale sign of there being some sort of camp here.
There is a score like there's a scorch mark on the ground that you get the. You get the feeling once was once the location of a. Of a campfire.
You can see that the way that the.
The rubble and the rocks have just kind of been moved around that there were a lot of feet in this area.
But Abe, this isn't like you know that the villagers of Riceville N would have have been to this mountain recently but they wouldn't have been on this side of the mountain.
And they certainly wouldn't like make camp in the open.
I mean this is quite an O. Like you. You've got good lines of sight in most directions that aren't blocked by the mountain itself.
Yeah. Someone's made a ridge side camp here and have since then packed up and seemingly moved on.
[01:35:15] Speaker C: Can we have a little check, see if anything's been left behind?
[01:35:20] Speaker A: Yeah, you can do if anyone.
Well do you. Let's make it another group roll.
Who wants the lead?
[01:35:28] Speaker C: Who has good instinct?
[01:35:34] Speaker B: Yeah, it's Guardi.
[01:35:36] Speaker A: But we'll leave Guardi up.
Aerial swoops. Aerial surveillance.
[01:35:42] Speaker B: Plus three is better than me for sure.
[01:35:44] Speaker C: Yeah, plus three is the best.
[01:35:49] Speaker A: Go Casco.
[01:35:49] Speaker D: Go Casco.
[01:35:51] Speaker A: Okay Cass. Cass is leading.
How's Abe helping in the search?
[01:35:58] Speaker D: I think he is hit the hunter in him. He's looking for tracks. See if There's. He can see what or who or how many people might have used this round. If you find any footprints
[01:36:15] Speaker A: as a quick heads up, Abe, you gained the hope from the last.
From the last roll. Okay, so you're. You're doing a. You're doing a looky loo.
[01:36:24] Speaker D: I do a luckily.
[01:36:26] Speaker A: Okay. So that's gonna be an instinct, I believe.
[01:36:31] Speaker D: What about if I use strength?
Yeah.
[01:36:37] Speaker A: Lift up the ground and demand it tell me answers.
[01:36:43] Speaker D: I'm also gonna make it a present. So can I intimidate the. The ground to tell me its answers?
It's a reactionary roll, isn't it?
[01:36:52] Speaker A: Correct.
[01:36:53] Speaker D: Yeah.
That's out 15 straight down the middle.
[01:37:00] Speaker A: That is a fail, unfortunately.
[01:37:04] Speaker D: Oh, you don't know what I'm looking at.
[01:37:08] Speaker A: How's Cooper helping?
[01:37:10] Speaker B: I think he's checking in to see if there's anything in the perimeter, like using, like. Looks like checking to make sure that there's no one looking in on them. If it's like a clearing, there's anyone else looking in on them.
Yes, that would be. That would be my thing. So I guess it would be another instinct role.
[01:37:31] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. Or bear in mind, also, you can spend experiences if you so wish.
[01:37:38] Speaker B: Yeah, I think.
I mean, excellent aim is more about shooting. But then I would argue that his experience of shooting into such clearings would mean he would figure out the best vantage points as he's looking around the clearing.
[01:37:54] Speaker A: Sure.
[01:37:54] Speaker B: Would that. Would that be okay? So, yeah.
So, yeah, I'll use excellent aim for that one.
So let's roll.
If that was not helpful, that's great.
That's 15 with fear. I did not see nothing.
[01:38:13] Speaker A: Okay, so that's a. Another fail, unfortunately.
How's Griffin helping?
[01:38:22] Speaker C: Griffin, I think, is gonna look for anything that might look like that. This is that the people, anyone who was here may not have long since gone. Either they, you know, it's been a while since like a few days, or it's literally been within like a day that they think.
[01:38:44] Speaker A: That's more knowledge.
[01:38:46] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:38:46] Speaker A: Because you're comprehending, you're analyzing.
[01:38:49] Speaker C: Yeah, I can do that.
Can I argue that I'm using my ability. What's your story, friend?
[01:39:01] Speaker E: To ask the earth.
[01:39:03] Speaker A: I mean, you're. I guess. Yeah. You're piecing together like a store. Oh, he's vanished.
Oh, Nate, you're gone.
[01:39:17] Speaker D: I can see you.
[01:39:18] Speaker B: I can see Nate.
[01:39:19] Speaker A: Oh, you're back. Okay.
[01:39:20] Speaker C: Hey. Hey.
[01:39:23] Speaker A: Yeah, I guess. Yeah. What's your story for? Because you're trying to piece together. You're trying to piece Together a story. Yes. Yeah.
[01:39:30] Speaker C: Reaction roll. Let's go.
[01:39:33] Speaker A: Yeah. Spend your hope. You can use your experience.
[01:39:38] Speaker B: We all got 15s doing so well.
Sorry, Cassie.
[01:39:51] Speaker A: Gardy will use his big birdie eyes.
[01:39:55] Speaker E: What do your bird eyes see?
[01:39:59] Speaker A: Nothing.
Nothing.
[01:40:03] Speaker B: We're all doing so well. We're about to get jump scared.
[01:40:07] Speaker C: There's all of us with our hands
[01:40:09] Speaker A: on our hips, just going.
[01:40:13] Speaker B: It feels like the bad lads, but the wrong side of the bad lads. You know what I mean?
[01:40:19] Speaker A: Cass, you put on your investigative hat.
And as you turn your attention to this area that seemingly has been a campsite, you then watch as Griffin, Cooper and Abe begin trampling all over the.
All over the crime scene.
I'll be kind.
And I won't roll in Guardi's role because I was just doing that as a hopeful leg up. But I will. How. I'll need your check. So. How.
[01:40:53] Speaker B: What.
[01:40:54] Speaker A: What are you rolling? It is a minus three.
[01:40:57] Speaker E: Okay.
[01:40:59] Speaker B: It's.
[01:41:00] Speaker E: I. I mean, could I say that Cass is using some of her arcane sense to like Professor X read the magic.
Possibly magic in this clearing.
[01:41:13] Speaker B: She does. She doesn't trust these. These men as far as she can throw them. She's doing her own thing.
[01:41:18] Speaker A: You know what I think? I think I like that. Yeah.
So you wrote. You roll me an insight. Unfortunately, it's minus three on the situational bonus and this is a full blown roll. So you'll get.
[01:41:30] Speaker E: Oh, yeah. Instinct, situation, minus three.
Did that do anything?
[01:41:42] Speaker A: No, not yet.
[01:41:44] Speaker E: Don't think it liked my minus three.
[01:41:47] Speaker A: If you do.
[01:41:48] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:41:48] Speaker A: If you just do normal and then
[01:41:49] Speaker E: we'll just minus three from it.
[01:41:50] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:41:54] Speaker E: Oh, that also didn't like it. Excuse me. Let me in.
[01:41:59] Speaker D: Hold, Hold.
[01:42:01] Speaker C: Doing a little refresher Foundry helps it out.
[01:42:03] Speaker E: Oh, there you go.
[01:42:05] Speaker A: Okay.
Oh, it was so close. Could I.
[01:42:11] Speaker D: Could I
[01:42:14] Speaker C: just looks down and goes like.
[01:42:16] Speaker A: We are officially at 12. 12 with hope.
[01:42:20] Speaker C: ADHD. ADHD's out. And then just starts playing his concertina to give.
[01:42:25] Speaker A: Give everyone a rally dice.
Cass, would you like to spend your rally dice?
[01:42:31] Speaker E: Yes, please.
[01:42:32] Speaker A: Okay. It's a D8. You're on 12.
[01:42:35] Speaker E: Okay.
[01:42:35] Speaker C: And you can get.
[01:42:36] Speaker A: I'll let you in. I'll let you on a little secret. The Difficulty has been 17. This time around.
We're back up to 15.
[01:42:45] Speaker E: Yeah.
Can I. Would it be possible? I don't know. Can you add experiences to a group role?
Because I would argue researcher.
[01:42:56] Speaker A: You've not got any hope though, have you?
[01:42:58] Speaker E: No, I don't. I have no hope.
[01:43:00] Speaker C: I just. You just rolled a Rally dice, which means you can gain a hope from it.
[01:43:04] Speaker A: The.
The experiences beforehand.
[01:43:08] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:43:09] Speaker A: But you do gain a hope, so. And you gain a second hope because you roll with hope.
[01:43:13] Speaker E: Excellent. Two hopes.
[01:43:16] Speaker A: Okay. You find solace. You find comfort in his blissful ignorance.
So, yeah, you're. What, What. What was the line of questioning that this investigation was? See, looking to solve whatever it was.
[01:43:37] Speaker E: I think we've trampled it now.
[01:43:40] Speaker A: It was.
Was it a case of, like, who.
[01:43:43] Speaker C: Who.
[01:43:43] Speaker A: Who was it Who.
[01:43:44] Speaker E: Who was here?
You know, any sense of if they were magic, like, were they powerfully magic?
[01:43:51] Speaker D: What.
[01:43:51] Speaker E: Any sense of what we're dealing with here.
[01:43:53] Speaker A: Okay, so, yeah, nothing particularly pings off magically, like nothing of note.
No more than the. The Titan Isles kind of natively emits the solace, I guess, is that it wasn't a particularly large camp, but it certainly was bigger than a camp that you five would set up, for example.
It doesn't.
Other than that, it's. Yeah, it's a bit. Perhaps you're partly. You're distracted by the fact that elevated as you are, you now have a relatively clear line of sight over the canopy to the raging inferno to the north.
[01:44:53] Speaker E: So calming.
[01:44:54] Speaker A: So calming. You can almost hear it from your location.
But yeah, with. So unfortunately, the camp doesn't provide. Doesn't yield any kind of additional questions just. Or doesn't yield any additional answers, but perhaps it just. Just questions.
So, yeah, you continue moving on up towards and like following this path.
Before long, you.
Sorry, Griffin, one. One final bit. As we. As you're sort of like going around the side of this mountain, the path kind of dips down into the cat, into the canopy, and sort of like then climbs up a little bit and then kind of curves around.
I guess every time we play peak and we go, oh, we have to go down again, like it's that kind of scenario.
[01:45:44] Speaker D: But what do you mean me?
[01:45:47] Speaker A: What's grabbing your notice? What grabs your attention the most?
[01:46:04] Speaker C: I guess what's grabbing or more sort of Griffin is looking for is because he's.
He's heard about this marble that's obviously growing in this. That's growing in this mountain, and I think he's. I think he's finding it quite interesting that they actually haven't found any of this sort of red veins in marble yet or any sort of signs of it or any sort of feeling of something that could relate to it. And I think he's sort of on edge, sort of waiting for that feeling to happen.
[01:46:40] Speaker A: So the red veins.
[01:46:41] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:46:42] Speaker C: You're Saying that there's like these red.
Am I getting something?
[01:46:48] Speaker A: So, well, the marble that you've seen in Riceville. Riceville. Now the. The marble that is festooning the five of you, it's like, it's pearly white with a slight shimmer of sort of like jade green.
[01:47:03] Speaker C: Oh, jade green. Sorry.
[01:47:04] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:47:05] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:47:06] Speaker A: No, you're absolutely, absolutely right. You haven't seen any marble yet.
[01:47:09] Speaker C: Yeah. And I think he's sort of on edge, sort of waiting for that, some sort of sense of that.
[01:47:15] Speaker A: Okay.
In which case. Yeah. As you sort of like ponder this and wonder when you might see it, you spy a.
What appears to be like the wooden supports that. That kind of identify the opening of one what is almost like a mining shaft on the side of the mountain. And you can see from the direction that you've got to this entrance, there is a secondary path that runs up to this kind of mine entrance that kind of runs down the side of the.
Runs down the mountain away from you into the deep canopy. And Abe, based on of like where you are, you've almost kind of.
You've almost kind of gone a good 90 degrees anti clockwise around the mountain. So you can almost like. Well, it's primarily trees and that, but you can kind of know you can almost see Riceville gnar off in the distance if the trees weren't there.
So you suspect that this path you've stumbled across that leads up to this mineshaft must be where the. The Riceville our villagers were coming up from from?
[01:48:33] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:48:36] Speaker A: And you can see that there are a number of like, mining tools, like pickaxes and shovels scattered around.
But it's, you know, they are largely like, you see that they've been kind of of pushed to the side, like they're propped up against the walls. And this M Shaft entrance kind of leads like, winds its way into the mountain.
And yeah, Griffin, as you sort of poke your head around and see, you notice that there are like, you can see these sort of like white glossy veins of like, mineral veins around the areas where some of the might pickaxes are propped.
And it would seem, yeah, you. You have found. You have found the entrance to where they were mining.
And kick Fran sort of like, is alongside you as he sort of tilts ahead. And this must be the entrance here.
[01:49:47] Speaker C: This is the entrance.
[01:49:49] Speaker A: Oh, okay,
[01:49:52] Speaker C: guys, this is the entrance.
[01:49:58] Speaker A: Who's walking in first?
[01:50:01] Speaker C: Who.
[01:50:01] Speaker A: So who. Who's at the head of our line form?
[01:50:08] Speaker E: Are we sending Abe?
[01:50:09] Speaker D: Yeah. I mean, sending the big boy.
[01:50:11] Speaker E: Okay, Shield we love You, Abe.
[01:50:14] Speaker A: Okay, so Abe first. Who's going in behind Abe? And you can nominate kick Fran.
[01:50:22] Speaker D: Actually, can it be Kick Fran? Human shield, Ape
[01:50:28] Speaker A: Kick Fran. Still sending the blind man in first. It's not the correct idea.
[01:50:33] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, we. I will.
Yeah. I don't know.
[01:50:41] Speaker B: I feel like I don't mind going after Abe if we.
[01:50:47] Speaker D: It's probably better to go behind me. Makes sense in case.
[01:50:52] Speaker B: Also, I feel like Cooper still thinks that this is kind of his fault, so.
[01:50:56] Speaker D: Well, it is.
[01:50:57] Speaker B: Unless.
So, yeah, I feel like he'd be like, well, come on.
I can go ahead and then make Abe's like, don't be silly. You can't help us. I'm dragging the kind of do you love my Abe impression, by the way? Just moves him bodily.
It's like, no, get back.
[01:51:19] Speaker A: Kick Fran will step in behind Koopa, who's stepping in behind Kick Fran.
[01:51:23] Speaker E: Castle going behind Kick Fran with El Alimony ready. She doesn't trust that
[01:51:31] Speaker A: Guardi lands. The like transforms back into Guardi form and then gestures after you to you, Griffin. And then Guardi will follow up from
[01:51:42] Speaker C: behind, along with any discarded sort of like, pickaxes and stuff. Is there any lanterns that we can possibly use?
[01:51:50] Speaker A: There are. Yes. Cool. So who would like to take a lantern?
[01:51:54] Speaker C: Griffin will take a lantern.
[01:51:56] Speaker A: Okay, so Griffin's got a lantern.
Anyone else?
[01:52:02] Speaker B: I kind of need my hands for my shooting.
[01:52:04] Speaker D: I was going to say I got a shield on an axe.
Well, by take one up, I'll stow the shield and I'll have a lantern at the front.
[01:52:10] Speaker A: Okay, I can throw it down. In which case, as the two of you pick up the lanterns. Sorry. Well, Cass has a lantern. Does she want it out or is.
[01:52:20] Speaker E: I think if she needs light, she can get a little crackle of lightning.
[01:52:25] Speaker A: Sure, sure, sure.
In which case, as you go to pick up the lanterns, kig Fran like, puts a hand on your like, arm. Griffin and says, be wary.
Whoever made that cap campsite will have found this entrance as well.
[01:52:48] Speaker C: Do you have an idea who may have made the campsite?
[01:52:53] Speaker A: No, I do not.
And I don't like not knowing.
[01:53:00] Speaker C: Okay,
[01:53:03] Speaker A: Just be wary.
The lantern will quickly give away our position. Positions.
And with that, he sort of like, lets go of your. Your arm and then, like, jogs a little bit to catch up after Cooper.
So as the six of you begin making your way into the cave, let's grab a quick 10 minute.
We'll be back in 10 minutes.
[01:53:39] Speaker B: Love you.
[01:53:39] Speaker D: Bye.
[01:53:44] Speaker A: Hello, and welcome back to Explorers of Elsewhere Live. Hi, my name is Dim Dan.
We have all returned successfully safely, promptly.
Hi to those of you who joined us over the break. Hello again to which light. Welcome. Hi.
Which like came up with a. Like made a good point. State sponsored pirates who were called privateers.
But yeah, I guess in a future Titan talk we might discuss whether Ella's mirror prefers the term pirates or privateer.
Could go either way. But back to our session. You five have successfully scaled the mountain on the southeastern aisle. You have found a what appears to be a mine shaft like entrance into the mountain.
There are well belied by the numerous keeper sized mining tools that you found scattered. And you are now forming a sort like a marching order as you wind your way through these sort of like small relatively.
Well, it's a relatively cramped tunnel for you Abe. But for everyone else it's a keeper sized mineshaft. So it's somewhat roomy if. If anything we know the slats. Yeah, your horns keep on getting hooked.
So we know that Griffin currently has a lantern. But given Kick Fran's little warning.
Griffin, do you want to have the torch on?
[01:55:39] Speaker C: No, I think he. He won't now.
[01:55:41] Speaker A: He'll sort of.
[01:55:43] Speaker C: Well, he might keep it as sort of like a. As low a light as he. He possibly can get it out.
[01:55:48] Speaker A: Yeah, I can turn that down.
I can turn it down to ten foot. Five foot. How's that?
[01:55:52] Speaker C: That'll do.
[01:55:55] Speaker A: Okay, so Griffin is now illuminating in a.
You bring the shrouds down on the lantern to kind of cut some of the light.
[01:56:02] Speaker C: I think he'll let. He'll let Abe know as well.
Just to say like, apparently we need to really watch out. Apparently there's those people who might have been at the camp. They might also be in here.
[01:56:16] Speaker D: We all said that Kick Fran just
[01:56:19] Speaker C: said he doesn't know who they are, but.
[01:56:22] Speaker D: Well that sounds like something somebody who did know what they were would say.
I don't know where they. Who they are.
[01:56:28] Speaker C: Yeah, but why? Why we're helping him. Why would he want to get us in trouble?
[01:56:34] Speaker D: Well, you're ever so trusted either you might be a trap might get us all here to middle of the well do something.
Just having Succession kick there. Just don't trust him.
[01:56:45] Speaker C: I. No, none of us really do. But at the moment we've. We kind of got to do what he says.
[01:56:53] Speaker D: Turns, puts the dimmer switch down.
[01:56:58] Speaker A: Okay. Oh yes. Cuz Ab, you're. You're torched up as well. Okay, so you dimming down to five. Five foot, ten foot. Give or take.
[01:57:06] Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah, let's do.
[01:57:08] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:57:09] Speaker D: Mood lighting.
[01:57:10] Speaker A: We'll do. We'll do some beautiful mood lighting.
Okay, very good. So you say you. You begin making your way into this tunnel and you notice that the tunnel is relatively level for a while.
And then like it seems at some point the. The keep like the miners of Riceville N had stopped kind of backtracked a little bit and then begun digging down. Because you can see like, you can see there's been a. A notable like a. A deliberate change in direction. And the. The M shaft begins descending like spiraling down through the rock rubble.
And as you go deeper the tunnel, you notice that kind of sprouting from like cracks in. In the sides of the. Like in the sides of the mineshaft walls.
You can see that plant life is already like is kind of pushing its way out out seemingly out of the rock face.
And like. Yes. Sprouted along these walls are what appear to be almost like, like lichen us like shrubbery by softly glowing bioluminescent kind of fungi, glowing fungi, bioluminescent leaves that the. The fungi glow in a. Like a warm orange.
The leaves glow in a cool blue.
And yeah. We find the five of you. Well, the five of you find your six of you find yourselves like as you the. The tunnel seemingly like Abe, you can just about make out from the lights of the various kinds of. Of glowing mushrooms and bioluminescent leaves that this tunnel opens up into what appears to be some sort of cavern from where you're stood.
And Abe, you're having to cr. Kind of crouch down a little bit, crane your neck up, squint through the gloom.
You can see that sort of like ahead of you, but slightly to the right, illuminated by some bioluminescent, by some glowing fungi is what appears to be a.
Like a tarp, like a.
A fabric like cloth, almost potentially like a tent.
What do you do?
[02:00:07] Speaker D: Slowly make his way towards.
Yeah, this sort of tent like structure.
Obviously keeping eyes peeled but sort of wanting to see what that could be.
[02:00:26] Speaker A: Sure, Abe, as you begin to like creep out around like through the tunnel. So I will say that the white line is pretty. Is the. The partly partly transparent white line is kind of where you can go.
Yeah, don't question.
As you kind of creep forward and you kind of see into this cavern a little bit more, you freeze as you heal. Hear the sounds of footsteps echoing off the tunnel walls.
And the footsteps appear to be getting louder and coming like they're heading in your direction.
I just.
[02:01:13] Speaker D: Everyone keep down.
[02:01:17] Speaker A: What do you do as the footsteps get louder?
[02:01:23] Speaker D: Oh well, there's nowhere else for us to go.
[02:01:30] Speaker A: So I will say that there are enough sort of like rocky outcrops and crags that if. If within reason, if any of you wanted to hide and you were kind of near one of the white lines, you can certainly like duck away. But bear in mind as a torchlight will make it like you emitting light will make it difficult if you're in a dark area.
[02:01:58] Speaker D: But can I tuck Abe tuck himself back behind this wall slightly in hopes of trying to keep his very sort of tall frame out of view and then kind of gesturing to the guys to stay back where they are in a kind of.
[02:02:19] Speaker A: Sure.
In which case you.
Yeah, you hear say, two, like some. Some footsteps.
And you watch as from.
From what. Who is anyone else peering out like Cooper, you're next in line. Are you peering out like pe. Around the corner? There's a. In front of you.
[02:02:45] Speaker B: Yeah, I think. Could he. Could he see what he can. Yeah, see what he can see if
[02:02:50] Speaker A: we leave you in the shadow just there.
So between you. So Abe and Cooper, you watch as two figures, like, emerge from a kind of a dark. What you like, descend down almost what seems to be like a dark and corridor further ahead.
And you notice as they walk past the glowing kind of mushrooms, the bioluminescent leaves there, they have what appears to be a very.
Well, like a highly polished metallic armor.
And Aben, Cooper, like, you watch as these two figures kind of wander into the cavern that you're at the entrance of. They're sort of like quietly talking to each other. You can't quite make out what they're saying, but one appears to be a goblin, the other appears to be a sprite, perhaps an ignorant sprite based off his orange skin tone.
And yeah, these soldiers are wearing matching uniforms of like layered, like layered armor.
And it is clear that they are wearing some sort of uniform.
The two of them appear to be holding firearm rifles with what appear to be like daggers attached on the end as bayonets.
Yeah, this is a highly polished, like bluish, bluish silvered armor. There are red kind of tassel that. Red strips of what look like leather hanging from like the.
The layered shoulder pads.
And yeah, as they talk to one another, you notice the. The sprite who's got a kind of a full fight like a visored helmet. There is a kind of red hair like tassel that hangs from the back of the helmet.
Yeah. And the two of them talk quietly and then the. The sprite seemingly says something in agreement and then walks around the goblin to head further, what disappears into the darkness until Abe, you see him, like, emerge in the. The mushroom light by the tent further up ahead, and then disappears into the darkness again.
The goblin lets out a deep sigh and then, like, turns his back to you,
[02:05:44] Speaker B: Like, stage whisper. Like, We need to actually stage whisper because I can't read your mouth.
[02:05:56] Speaker D: I think if. Yeah, I could go.
[02:06:01] Speaker E: If he still got his head turned,
[02:06:03] Speaker D: I could go just grab him and then just grab him by the neck.
If I pull him back this way, we can have a little chat with him.
[02:06:13] Speaker A: Yeah, like, they can talk.
[02:06:15] Speaker B: Yeah, we don't know if friend or foe, so. Good idea.
[02:06:21] Speaker A: And your plan to find out if he's friend or foe is to kidnap him with your mouth over his hand?
[02:06:29] Speaker D: With his. Yeah, with my hand over his mouth.
[02:06:38] Speaker B: I'll back you up just in case.
[02:06:42] Speaker A: Kick. Fred looks at the two of you and, like, dips his head and then backs off at this. Like, Scooby, he's right next to you. And he literally disappears into the shadows. He's gone.
So, Abe, you're sneaking up on this goblin?
[02:07:04] Speaker D: Yeah, I mean, I am very model of stealth.
[02:07:08] Speaker A: Is it always Cooper sneaking up on him?
[02:07:11] Speaker B: My. My question is, is there any way that we could recognize this troop before we, like, do we know the. Is it possible we know the armor
[02:07:24] Speaker A: from anywhere between the two of you? Roll me a knowledge check.
Knowledge reaction.
Okay.
[02:07:31] Speaker B: Could I argue with my street smarts? I may have seen this armor.
[02:07:36] Speaker D: Seen a lot of guards before.
[02:07:38] Speaker B: I've seen a lot of guards.
[02:07:39] Speaker D: Seen a lot of guards.
[02:07:41] Speaker A: I will in this instance. Theo, inform you your street smarts will not apply here.
[02:07:49] Speaker B: Cool, right? So certainly not seen them before, probably.
Okay, cool. We're gonna just go with a reaction roll. I have no knowledge.
[02:07:58] Speaker D: I have no knowledge either.
[02:08:00] Speaker B: So it's gonna.
[02:08:01] Speaker D: That hasn't stopped me before.
[02:08:03] Speaker B: Yeah.
Might get Professor Cooper this time.
That's still a good roll. That's way good roll. That's way better than what I'm gonna roll.
[02:08:13] Speaker D: 17.
[02:08:21] Speaker A: Ape, whilst you do not recognize this soldier, this delivery, you've not seen a firearm like the one that this goblin is wielding it.
I mean, you've seen the firearms wielded by the. The guards of Dorlashal. For all extensive purposes, they're. They. They're arcane crystals in metal tubes. You hit the arcane crystal, and then the tube vaguely kind of guides the magical blast in the direction you hope it's going to. But these look significantly more kind of complex, more engineered. You notice that unlike Just the. The. The prey. This prey and hope tube of the. Of firearms that you've seen. These rifles end in what looks like a two pronged fork with this bayonet dagger acting as like a third prong.
There just seems to be a lot more.
Well, it looks more considered than other firearms you've seen and you can't. Whilst you don't recognize them, you can't shake the feeling as like memories flash through your mind. But specifically of the campfire you saw outside that looked very well, like meticulously cleaned up. That's why seemingly even Cass struggled to kind of piece anything together.
But also Elmira, talking of. Well, both Boson Grinner talking of ships he'd never seen.
And you can't help but wonder if perhaps those ships belong.
This soldier arrived on that one of those ships.
And that's a word I don't use lightly.
[02:10:20] Speaker C: He.
[02:10:21] Speaker A: This goblin strikes you as a soldier.
[02:10:33] Speaker B: We still going with the plan?
[02:10:36] Speaker D: I mean, I can't see if he's just gonna stand there. We've gotta get past him.
So I think we should probably just grab him.
Or you grab him.
[02:10:54] Speaker B: I can try.
[02:11:00] Speaker A: Cooper, from the darkness, you hear?
There was a reason why we employed you, Cooper.
[02:11:11] Speaker B: Okay, I think Cooper will take a minute and he will use invisibility.
[02:11:23] Speaker A: Really?
[02:11:26] Speaker B: He'll look at Ape and be like,
[02:11:28] Speaker D: are you asking me to grab him? And you could come.
I got it.
[02:11:32] Speaker B: And then he. It's like, I got it. And then he was disappeared.
[02:11:36] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:11:37] Speaker D: Kick Franz. Ms. Disappeared. You've disappeared. It's just all too much.
[02:11:42] Speaker A: Okay, so Cooper, you vanish into darkness.
Are you.
What does the world look like when you're invisible? Is it like Frodo wearing the ring or.
[02:11:57] Speaker B: I think it's relatively the same. I mean the spell's on him and it's not like the one ring where it feels like it affects everything else.
It's just Kivotha's influence has allowed him to channel this spell.
[02:12:12] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:12:14] Speaker B: Which is now kind of understood. That's where it's come from this time. Okay.
[02:12:19] Speaker A: Are you beelining for the Scoblin?
[02:12:21] Speaker B: I am very slowly going towards him with the hopes of.
[02:12:33] Speaker A: You need to make a spellcast roll first.
[02:12:36] Speaker B: Okay, cool.
My spell cast for invisibility is.
Yeah.
[02:12:42] Speaker A: Which is.
[02:12:42] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:12:43] Speaker D: Spell. So.
[02:12:44] Speaker A: So if you click on invisibility, you should be able to roll out from there.
[02:12:53] Speaker B: I going roll a ten. Okay, cool. That takes me.
[02:13:03] Speaker A: Nice20 with hope. So you gain a hope and you vanish into the shadows. You have to mark a stress to become invisible place. Number tokens equal to your spellcast. So you are invisible for four actions.
[02:13:21] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:13:22] Speaker A: Okay.
So heading up to the goblin.
[02:13:26] Speaker D: Yeah.
[02:13:27] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:13:28] Speaker B: Very slowly.
[02:13:31] Speaker D: The.
[02:13:31] Speaker A: The goblin is, like, pacing.
And there's a. There's a moment as you're approaching where the goblin, like, turns and all. It feels like he's looking you directly in the eye.
And, like, the goblin, for a moment, pauses and sort of like you can almost see the question mark appear above his forehead, above his head. And then he turns and goes back to kicking rocks.
Okay. You're up to a goblin.
You were going slowly. Yes.
[02:14:14] Speaker B: Yes.
[02:14:15] Speaker A: I will count that as one of your actions. You've got three left.
[02:14:18] Speaker B: Okay.
Trying to decide, because Abe was going to grab him.
[02:14:23] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:14:24] Speaker B: Originally.
So what I might do is very carefully find, like, a pebble or a stone below me.
[02:14:36] Speaker D: Okay.
[02:14:37] Speaker B: And chuck it near Abe.
[02:14:42] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:14:44] Speaker B: So he goes there of his own free will. I'm not literally lunging and grabbing the guy. That feels like the. Not. Not a me thing to do.
[02:14:53] Speaker A: Okay.
The. The act of finding and throwing the stone.
Another action.
So as you step out the way and you sort of, like, throw the stone, the goblin, like, turns on his heel and. Huh?
What was that?
And then begins walking towards Abe. And Abe, you can see this soldier, like, with a confused look on his face, just edging closer towards you. And what's Abe doing? Because you've just seen this rock just, like, launch across the cabin, land near you, just like.
[02:15:31] Speaker D: What the bloody hell is that boy doing?
Well, you know, he was gonna get. Oh, God.
[02:15:39] Speaker B: Cooper's following.
[02:15:40] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:15:41] Speaker D: He's trying to get himself even as tight as the wall as possible. Just like I am Rock.
[02:15:47] Speaker A: How.
How close to.
How close to Abe do you let the goblin get, Cooper?
[02:15:57] Speaker B: Not. Not close enough that he spots him, but close enough that if things get messy, I have Abe as backup.
[02:16:03] Speaker A: I feel. Then in that case, we are about as close as the. The goblin can get before.
[02:16:09] Speaker B: Before.
[02:16:10] Speaker A: Before he spots Abe.
[02:16:12] Speaker B: Cool.
[02:16:13] Speaker A: So, yeah, you've got two actions left.
[02:16:16] Speaker B: Cool. I am going.
Okay. So what I'm going to do is I'm going whilst invisible.
Lunge.
[02:16:29] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:16:30] Speaker B: At the soldier and take him out of the legs.
He's not going to expect me using all of my weight to push him to the ground.
[02:16:39] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:16:42] Speaker B: Yeah, that's my plan.
[02:16:44] Speaker A: Okay.
So we'll call it an attack roll.
I feel you're hidden, so you get sneak attack, if that matters.
You get advantage because you're invisible.
[02:17:00] Speaker B: Okay.
In terms of attack rocks, usually I just roll my dagger or my crossbow.
Obviously, I'm not using. Call it the dagger. Okay, cool. So let's see if that.
Do I have advantage because I'm invisible.
[02:17:14] Speaker A: Correct.
[02:17:16] Speaker B: And because I'm being reckless as f. I'm going to put that into my. Okay,
[02:17:24] Speaker A: there's a little. Psst.
The last moment to really discombobulate him.
[02:17:30] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So.
There's a 19 with hope and then what? Well, I wouldn't sneak attack him unless I'm attacking.
Attacking. Attacking him.
[02:17:45] Speaker A: 19 with hope is a success. Please take it.
And yeah, disgrace to me. What you do.
[02:17:54] Speaker B: Yeah, I. I take him. I take him out. But so, yeah, so like you suggested, I get as close as I can while he's going.
[02:18:01] Speaker D: Huh.
[02:18:02] Speaker B: And I go.
And as he turns, I then lit like just rush, like bum rush at his knees, at the behind his knees. So he like shuffles forward.
Yeah.
[02:18:16] Speaker A: Okay. There is a.
As this goblin is sort of like is turned off balance when these kind of knees give out and he collapses forward. As you sort of like kind of charge him forward towards Abe, the goblin hits the town. Do you want to like the goblins on. On the ground?
[02:18:38] Speaker D: Can I pick him up?
Yeah, with a hand over his mouth.
Okay.
[02:18:46] Speaker A: Yes, you can.
I'm gonna need a.
I. I think if you're grabbing him a strength you have advantage because he surprises on the floor.
He didn't see the giant nine foot keeper that was hiding mere feet from him.
Yeah. Just to sort of like grab him and sort of like secure him quickly enough before four he makes a noise and could be. You have one action left.
[02:19:19] Speaker B: Can I add. Can I add experience? Can I help?
Can I help?
[02:19:25] Speaker A: Got a rally.
[02:19:26] Speaker D: I've got a rally. I could use my rally. I'll use my rally. What is it? A d8?
[02:19:35] Speaker C: Yeah.
[02:19:36] Speaker A: 21. 21 with hope is a success. You grab your hope and Abe, you pounce on this chrome goblin.
And like before the goblin knows what's happening, you've hoikd him up like you are, you know, twice his height. Your mouth, your hand clamped over his mouth. And this. This goblin is sort of like kind of screaming blue mur.
The goblin shushes.
And from where. Yeah, I think everyone else can now see Abe holding this goblin like a. It looks like a. Like a large teddy bear in eight hand be a wearing this very like immaculately kept armor a little bit further
[02:20:28] Speaker D: back towards the gang.
[02:20:29] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely.
[02:20:32] Speaker D: Me and him, best buds. Now, just in hopes that one of them might recognize his armor.
[02:20:40] Speaker C: Yeah, I was gonna say.
All right. Could either me or Cass recognize.
[02:20:50] Speaker A: I'LL go ahead and say without the need for rolls, you don't recognize the armor.
This is.
Yeah. A completely foreign armor.
[02:21:06] Speaker D: Okay.
Yeah.
[02:21:11] Speaker A: Kick, Fran.
Yeah. The goblin has stopped struggling, held as
[02:21:24] Speaker B: he is in your arms, memorizing our faces.
[02:21:30] Speaker A: You know what?
That's precisely what it looks like he's doing.
[02:21:35] Speaker D: Doesn't matter, because I'm gonna break his neck afterwards.
Sorry. That was livy. That was liv.
Right. If I'm gonna take my hand off your mouth and you're not gonna scream or nothing, as you can tell, I'm a pretty strong guy. And you've got a pretty little neck. Not pretty little neck. I didn't mean like that. I meant you've got. You've got a little neck. Not that you've got a pretty neck. I.
Oh, God.
That's.
Anyway, I start again. I'm gonna take my ads off your mouth. And you're not gonna. You're not gonna scream or nothing. You're just gonna let us. You're gonna answer the questions that this nice lady has for you. He points it. Cats.
[02:22:33] Speaker A: The goblin.
Because I. I get like. The goblin turns his attention to you, Cass. And like, in the. In the light of the. Of the. Of Griffin's lantern of the glowing fungi.
Yeah. This. This goblin has quite, like, yellowish green skin.
He's got a. His hair is cut in a way you've never seen it.
[02:22:59] Speaker B: Look.
[02:22:59] Speaker A: It's. For all extensive purposes. It's a strip of hair around the head with the top shaved. The top. The top of his head completely shaved. And then sort of like below the ring, completely shaved.
But, yeah, this kind of goblin fixes his gaze on you. And, like, eyes narrow. And then, Abe, under your hand, you hear a.
The. There's a.
As best as a nod as the
[02:23:31] Speaker D: goblin can give, Abe slowly takes his hand. That's probably about the size of his face.
[02:23:37] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:23:37] Speaker D: Down off of his. Off of his. Off of his mouth.
[02:23:41] Speaker E: Cass just immediately, like, puts alimony.
[02:23:44] Speaker D: Yeah. That's why. Yeah.
[02:23:45] Speaker E: Up to the goblin.
[02:23:47] Speaker D: She's so sexy.
[02:23:53] Speaker A: The first thing you notice, Cass, is as you hold this goblin at gunpoint, Unlike perhaps in the past, the goblin's eyes focus on the gun barrel, and there is a look of calmness, determination across his face. Not the potential fear or slight panic that you might have seen others give.
[02:24:27] Speaker E: Oh, he's a soldier. Soldier.
[02:24:31] Speaker B: He's a big boy. He's a proper boy.
[02:24:37] Speaker A: The goblin, as he focuses on this barrel floating in front of his forehead, we wondered how long it would be before we met the locals.
[02:24:49] Speaker E: Who are you? Who do you work for?
[02:24:58] Speaker A: My name is Victin, legionnaire of the 7th. Legionnaire of the 17th company, 2nd legion.
But who I am is unimportant.
[02:25:20] Speaker E: Why are you here?
[02:25:24] Speaker A: The. The goblin sort of like, looks around.
Cass, I'm gonna need a presence, a check to convince him. And you can tell me which.
Which. Which ability are you using to convince him to be more talkative?
[02:25:46] Speaker E: Use presence.
[02:25:48] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:25:49] Speaker D: Yeah.
[02:25:50] Speaker E: And I will not be blinking. I have not blinked.
[02:25:53] Speaker A: Sure.
[02:25:58] Speaker E: Can I say that you cannot stop me. The experience.
[02:26:03] Speaker A: Yeah.
With the sound of the firearm.
Yeah, I'm clicking.
[02:26:14] Speaker E: Okay, so. 19 with fear.
[02:26:16] Speaker A: 19 with fear.
So what was your question?
[02:26:21] Speaker E: I've forgotten.
[02:26:22] Speaker D: Who's your daddy and what does he do?
[02:26:24] Speaker C: Why are you here?
[02:26:25] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[02:26:26] Speaker E: Thank you.
I was too focused on being sexy.
[02:26:33] Speaker A: We are here.
We are here to spread the glory of the almighty Imperium.
And the riches and powers that lurk deep within this mountain by divine decree, belong to the Emperor.
[02:27:04] Speaker E: Does this make any sense?
[02:27:07] Speaker A: None at all.
Imperium, Emperor Divine Decrypt. What?
But the eyes tell you this goblin truly believes this.
And as I took up a fear.
Cooper, you hear victim. Have you got the. The ammunition crates? And you hear a voice call out from further into the cabin. And Cooper, as you turn around into the light of the. The mushrooms, you can see it. Away. Away walks the ignan sprites that you saw the. The goblin with. And he appears to be walking with pace in your direction.
Cool.
[02:28:08] Speaker B: I'm so invisible, I think, until this next turn.
[02:28:12] Speaker A: Until you take your next action. Yeah.
[02:28:14] Speaker B: So what I'm going to do is I'm going to move into that very shadowy bit that's next to me and crouch so I can be of use if things start to.
[02:28:27] Speaker A: So sort of like here, you mean initially. Okay. Yeah.
[02:28:30] Speaker B: Yeah.
So moving. Moving to the shadow.
[02:28:34] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:28:34] Speaker B: Getting. Getting down low as my invisibility fades.
[02:28:39] Speaker A: Yeah,
[02:28:41] Speaker B: keeping. Though I assume everyone else could also hear that.
[02:28:44] Speaker A: Oh, yes.
[02:28:45] Speaker B: Okay, cool. That's great. So I'm like, okay, this ignorant sprite
[02:28:51] Speaker A: has just kind of walked into the center of this cavern. He hasn't seen you yet. And victim.
Victim.
And the soldier sort of like turns around and then walks up the slope that you saw him come down originally.
But it would have seen that this soldier is looking for Victim.
[02:29:15] Speaker D: Victim. More like victim,
[02:29:19] Speaker B: not me thinking the same thing.
[02:29:22] Speaker C: Cass, ask him how many are. How many of their. How many of them are here?
[02:29:27] Speaker E: That's a very good question. I've. I've been reminded by telepathy, by fear, that I can use telepathy on this.
[02:29:35] Speaker D: Go goblin. Yes.
[02:29:37] Speaker A: Is that the Dark whispers that's just popped up in chat?
[02:29:40] Speaker E: Yes. I do have to take out my vote. I have to change the loadout. But I think I can do that with stress.
[02:29:45] Speaker A: It's got a zero recall cost, so you can do it for free.
[02:29:48] Speaker D: Nice.
[02:29:48] Speaker E: Cool. I will put it in my brain.
[02:29:53] Speaker A: We'll pop that. What are you. What are you removing from your brain?
[02:29:56] Speaker E: I shall remove fly. Because I don't think I'm gonna need fly inside a mountain.
[02:30:02] Speaker A: Cool. We'll switch those around for you.
[02:30:04] Speaker B: Boom.
[02:30:04] Speaker A: Okay, you have dark whispers into the mind of any person with whom you've made physical contact.
[02:30:12] Speaker E: Smack his face.
[02:30:20] Speaker A: They can speak back into your mind. You can mark a stress.
Okay, so you can now speak telepathically to Legionnaire Victin.
[02:30:30] Speaker E: Yeah.
[02:30:32] Speaker A: Are you looking to spend a stress too?
Ask the questions.
[02:30:38] Speaker E: Yes, I'll ask the question that Griffin.
[02:30:40] Speaker A: Oh, so it's mark stress to make a spell check against them.
[02:30:43] Speaker E: Cool.
So what spell check do I need
[02:30:47] Speaker A: to insight for that?
[02:30:48] Speaker E: Insight instinct. Cool.
[02:30:51] Speaker A: Insects, right?
[02:30:55] Speaker D: Yeah.
[02:30:57] Speaker A: 17 with hope. So you gain a hope.
[02:30:59] Speaker E: Cool.
[02:31:00] Speaker B: Nice.
[02:31:01] Speaker A: And that is a success.
So you successfully drill into Legionnaire victim's mind.
What question are you looking to ask?
[02:31:13] Speaker E: I'm. I'm going to ask the question that Griffin suggested.
How many are there here?
I don't want to because I'm telepath.
So that the soldier can't hear us.
[02:31:27] Speaker A: So you can ask, where are they? What are they doing? What are they afraid of? What do they cherish most in the world?
Those questions go from 0 to 60 real quick.
So yeah, you'll be able to ask a question based off one of those four. Where are they? What are they doing? What are they afraid of?
[02:31:57] Speaker D: What are they doing? What are they doing here?
[02:31:59] Speaker E: Yeah, I suppose.
[02:32:00] Speaker D: Can you.
[02:32:00] Speaker E: I mean, we kind of know what they're doing. They're plundering what we're looking for on behest of this emperor, whoever the that is.
Can I. Can I kind of of twist where are they? Into how many of them there are?
[02:32:15] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:32:15] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay. Because I think it's very much a case of you poke some, you boop someone on the snoot, and then you can telepathically talk over range. But so that's where, like where are you?
You can ask that question. But yeah, no, we, we, we'll. I mean, you roll with hope. Yeah, we'll twist that.
You get an image in your. Your mind that flashes up from the goblins of A squad.
There's a squad of.
There was a squad of eight led by a like a sergeant based off like the. There's a like what appears to be a lot of our woman in with a more ornate helmet wearing a. A like a cloak in the same kind of dark like crimson red, like rich crimson red as the.
[02:33:15] Speaker B: The.
[02:33:16] Speaker C: The.
[02:33:17] Speaker A: Like the leather straps hanging off the.
Off the armor. The. The. You know it seems to be a unifying color.
Um, and in this, in this image, like in this mental image, you see, see them stood in front of this sort of like fluttering flag bearing like military insignia you've never seen.
But the number two is prominently featured. And from the goblins mind you feel this kind of surge of pride to be part of the second legion.
And the like. It's wordless. But the sergeant barks an order towards you as you peer out of kind of victims memories eyes.
And the soldiers of the squad like stands to attention as this figure like literally glides towards you.
And you notice that the figure does not appear to have. It looks like a humanoid figure wearing you know, more ornate armor similar to what you're wearing, but it has this full fully enclosed metal like helmet with a. An ornate embellished face plate.
There are two blades hanging from its belt and in lieu of legs there are just like drifting bits of cloth and it's literally floating across the ground towards you.
And as this figure sort of like turns to look at you through victim's eyes, in your mind like victim's memory, you hear him saying to himself almost in a prayer like manner, Glory to the Imperium.
And then as you snap out, you feel that yeah, the squad of eight led by a sergeant with this floating figure has joined you.
You do get the name. A name like arrives in your mind as you think of this floating figure.
This figure is an executor.
[02:36:14] Speaker E: Don't like a job title as a name?
[02:36:20] Speaker A: Well yeah, it's. Yeah, the figure is an executor.
Yeah.
[02:36:31] Speaker D: Do we know that cat is telepathically just. Gabe's just kind of holding this goblin
[02:36:38] Speaker E: questions or touching his face.
[02:36:42] Speaker A: Very, very awkward silence.
[02:36:49] Speaker D: Just like licking it and like Ripp.
[02:36:58] Speaker B: Well.
[02:36:58] Speaker A: So off the back of that I will spend a fear because our ignorant friend.
Where are you Victim? Victim.
And his voice is louder now. He's calling out in a much more deliberate manner. Cooper. You notice that he is walking in your direction.
[02:37:19] Speaker B: I'm gonna wait until he's as close to me as he can get and then I think I'm just gonna I think I'm gonna have to because otherwise he's going to catch us.
I'm just gonna have to take him out as best I can. I'm gonna sneak. Sneak attack.
Get this soldier as best I can.
[02:37:44] Speaker A: Cool. Just before you do that I upload it by. I didn't think I needed this.
That is the executor you see in your mind, Cass.
[02:37:54] Speaker B: Hey.
[02:37:54] Speaker D: That.
[02:37:55] Speaker B: Hate that. That's. No.
[02:38:01] Speaker A: Sorry.
Yeah. Cooper, you're. You're snagging the Imperial soldier.
[02:38:07] Speaker B: Yep.
[02:38:08] Speaker A: Okay.
As the Imperial soldier gets close, I'm gonna need you to make a stealth check.
[02:38:16] Speaker B: Okay. Is that finesse?
[02:38:18] Speaker A: Like. Yeah, we'll call it.
[02:38:19] Speaker B: Let's hide.
[02:38:19] Speaker A: Yeah, we'll call it a hide. Yeah. Finesse to hide.
And you get advantage because you're hiding like you. You're in.
You're in shadow. So you get advantage.
[02:38:33] Speaker B: And I'm being a lucky devil like his. I'm no longer invisible.
[02:38:37] Speaker D: Oh, you're no longer invisible.
[02:38:38] Speaker C: Oh she.
[02:38:41] Speaker B: I'm going to tell you what. I'll wait. I. I will save my hope. And I'll use a bloody dice if I need to. To stealth.
[02:38:55] Speaker A: No, I think it's just auto. Because as a rogue, anytime you would be hidden, you are instead cloaked.
[02:39:01] Speaker D: Yeah.
[02:39:01] Speaker A: In addition to the benefits of a hidden condition, while cloaked you remain unseen. Seen if you are stationary and an adversary moves to where they would normally see you. So if it was anyone else, I'd ask for a high check. Yeah. This Imperial soldier is stood right next to you.
[02:39:17] Speaker B: He's going down. Let's go. Let's get him.
[02:39:19] Speaker A: This from where you are.
[02:39:22] Speaker B: I'm gonna have to cloak. I'm gonna have to stab him. Gonna leap and stab.
[02:39:26] Speaker A: You've seen that if need be kick. Fran has disappeared. Appeared into shadow as well.
Like you can see him from across the way, but he is hidden.
[02:39:37] Speaker C: Okay.
[02:39:38] Speaker A: So there is a tag team opportunity if you want it.
[02:39:41] Speaker B: O.
I do have enough hope.
Yeah, sure. Let's. Let's do that. Let's do that.
[02:39:50] Speaker A: You're tag teaming.
Okay.
So bear in mind Kig Fran has Black Guard training.
So if you want to spend an additional hope after everything's been rolled out, Kickfront will deal critical damage instead of standard damage.
[02:40:06] Speaker B: Okay cool. So I just roll my. My stuff as normal attack team. Okay. So yeah, small dagger.
I have advantage if I'm hidden.
[02:40:17] Speaker A: Correct.
[02:40:19] Speaker B: Great. And I'm. I'm gonna add excellent aim as well.
And we're gonna.
That's crits. That's a crit.
[02:40:37] Speaker A: That's a Chongus crit.
[02:40:40] Speaker B: Strongest crit.
[02:40:41] Speaker A: Do you want to take your crit or whatever kickframe rolls?
[02:40:45] Speaker B: I. I would like to take my crit, thank you.
[02:40:47] Speaker A: Okay. Do you take your critic crit?
Kick Fran will also take the crit. So you get to clear a stress, gain a hope, and Kick Fran teleports in. Please make your damage roll.
It will obviously it will let you roll crit and kick Fram will just go ahead now. Just do his damage.
[02:41:11] Speaker B: Okay, so I'll roll my damage.
[02:41:18] Speaker A: So kick ram rolls. 26.
This poor guy.
[02:41:26] Speaker B: So it's 45, I think for me.
I haven't done my sneak attack yet.
[02:41:32] Speaker A: Yeah, 45. So that'll be if you roll 3D6 plus 18.
[02:41:41] Speaker B: Oh, sorry, my sneak attack didn't work. Three 3D6 plus 18.
[02:41:46] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah,
[02:41:52] Speaker D: Nice. Good one.
[02:41:53] Speaker B: 32.
[02:41:55] Speaker A: 32 plus 45 is 75. 77 plus 77. 97. 103. Between the two of you,
[02:42:12] Speaker D: he's just completely decimated. He is gone.
[02:42:16] Speaker A: Cooper, describe to me what you do.
[02:42:21] Speaker B: The question is, Dan, have I killed this man or is he still alive?
[02:42:27] Speaker A: This poor ignam Sprite is 3 1/2 foot tall. All ignorant sprite.
No. Has taken super severe damage.
[02:42:40] Speaker B: Cool. He's dead. Okay, cool.
[02:42:41] Speaker A: And he has three hit points.
[02:42:46] Speaker D: Oh, God, he's gone.
[02:42:51] Speaker A: He has evaporated.
[02:42:54] Speaker E: He's mist in the air.
[02:42:57] Speaker B: I think. I think genuinely like. I think Cooper was so unsettled by the soldier and how he was talking, but he was. He's. He was expecting an elite team to come and get them.
[02:43:09] Speaker A: That's.
[02:43:09] Speaker B: That's like, genuinely like. I feel like. Like that was his. His panic.
So when he's seen someone else coming, he's like, I first. I've gotta. I've gotta stop anyone else coming. Because also, we're not in the best position to. To be, like, attacked right now. And it's better if we get into the light, etc.
So he just comes up behind this guy and I think he just slits his throat. Yeah, I think it's like the most visceral thing he's probably ever done in his life. But that panic is suddenly there.
And I think with Kiffran's influence also just standing there in the shadows as a reminder.
And he still doesn't know where the sigil's gone. And he knows he has to do this.
[02:43:52] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:43:52] Speaker B: And he just gets behind this guy as quickly as he can and slits his throat.
[02:43:57] Speaker E: He took a headshot, in which case,
[02:44:00] Speaker A: yeah, you see Kick Fran, like the black Mist erupts from Kick Fran's form as he kind of explodes into it. And as he reforms the umbrella has become the rapier again. And he materializes with the rapier. Are hilt deep in this. Sprites like. Well, Kick Fran's brought his arm round and the rapier tip has gone in under one armpit and emerged out the other. Like locking this sprite in place to allow you to get a devastating cut.
You feel this power surge within you. Cooper.
And as your dagger rakes across this sprite's head, what emotion rushes through you as the. As the attack nearly decapitates the sprite.
[02:44:57] Speaker B: Kind of horror.
[02:44:59] Speaker A: There's.
[02:44:59] Speaker B: There's a sense of horror in it because I think he was doing it as a panic. He wasn't.
He wanted to get rid of him. He didn't actually want to go this far. And I think the addition of Kick Fran's additional attack, useful as it has been, does make him.
I think that again, you can kind of his hand shake a little bit as he pulls his dagger away.
Hoping to mind.
[02:45:29] Speaker A: You hear?
Yes.
And Kick Fran has. Is looking you all looks into. Bubs is dead in the eye. And there's a.
That comes from him as he, like, just emotionlessly. Emotionlessly slides the rapier out from this sprite and the sprite collapses to the ground.
[02:45:59] Speaker B: Can I hide the sprite, please?
We're going. We're going Full Metal Gear Solid. We're hiding. We're putting you in the shadow. So if there's other soldiers arrive, like, they're gonna start looking for him.
[02:46:12] Speaker D: But did our little goblin friends do this?
[02:46:16] Speaker A: He.
[02:46:16] Speaker B: No, He's. He's too busy with you guys. Right?
[02:46:19] Speaker A: He's got his back to it all.
[02:46:36] Speaker B: I mean, he's obviously heard his friends call out.
[02:46:39] Speaker A: Yeah.
I don't think there was even time for the gargle.
The goblin has heard something. He doesn't know what he's heard.
It won't be long before he realizes his friend that was calling for him is no longer calling for him.
So. Yeah. But the gob. So victim looks. Looks back to you and sort of shakes his head slightly as Cassidy kind of emerge from his mind.
Yeah. What's. What's the next step?
[02:47:15] Speaker B: Does Kiffran want to let anyone know what's going on behind everyone? Or am I gonna have to appear probably covered in blood? Like, hey, the one guy down.
That's not actually what he's doing.
[02:47:27] Speaker A: But Kick Fran, in true kickfram fashion, just retreats to the shadows and vanishes.
[02:47:36] Speaker E: Just Homer Simpsons into the.
[02:47:41] Speaker A: Yeah. Maintains air quotes. Eye contact with you, Cooper, as he.
[02:47:47] Speaker B: Thanks.
[02:47:49] Speaker A: Like, disappears like a wraith.
[02:47:51] Speaker B: Just, like, pulling up the middle finger at him as he disappears. Just like.
[02:47:57] Speaker A: What's. What's Griffin doing?
Griffin's just.
[02:48:03] Speaker D: Are you the interrogation team or the.
[02:48:07] Speaker B: The murder team?
[02:48:09] Speaker C: Well, I think I'm part of the interrogation team.
[02:48:15] Speaker A: Just sort of whispering things to Cass because I know that she's got the more intimid.
Say that again.
[02:48:21] Speaker D: So is Cass bad cop? You're a good cop.
[02:48:23] Speaker A: Yes.
[02:48:25] Speaker E: You're behind Cass. Like, also trying to do the intimidating glare.
[02:48:28] Speaker A: Yeah.
Griffin's gonna look at this goblin and
[02:48:38] Speaker C: go like, oh, hi.
I mean, do you. Do you know what?
[02:48:50] Speaker A: I think Griff is gonna try and
[02:48:51] Speaker C: put his intimidated voice, like, do you know.
Do you know what's in this mountain? Do you know what you're looking for?
Because we do.
And we.
[02:49:06] Speaker A: I'm gonna need a presence check. I don't know whether you're trying to convince him or deceive himself.
[02:49:19] Speaker E: Yeah, he's just happy to be here.
[02:49:21] Speaker C: He's happy.
[02:49:22] Speaker A: I'm gonna.
[02:49:24] Speaker C: I'm gonna use an experience. I'm going to use chatter overload because he is pro. Probably just blabbing.
[02:49:30] Speaker A: Okay, okay.
Poor goblin.
[02:49:37] Speaker C: 20 with fear.
[02:49:39] Speaker A: Okay, so take up a fear that is a success.
So the question was, do you know what's here?
[02:49:53] Speaker C: Yeah.
[02:50:07] Speaker A: The goblin ponders on it for a moment. And then.
I would have assumed that given the.
Given the suspected power of what lurks within these vaults, there would be more than six of you.
This.
This prison vault is formidable indeed.
Whatever.
Whatever the.
Here is. When Dan wonders if he drops the plot.
Whatever the Eldevar determines to be powerful enough to contain here, it will require more than the six of you to contain.
And as the goblin looks.
What expressions are you wearing on your faces at the name Eldavar?
Confusion.
[02:51:46] Speaker D: Are we calling it the words.
[02:51:50] Speaker B: Just try and check my notes. Literally, very hard.
[02:51:57] Speaker A: Eldevar is a term that none of you have would have heard.
[02:52:02] Speaker E: So it's confusion.
[02:52:06] Speaker B: I mean, I'm. I'm still dealing with the. The murder of the guy around the corner, so I think I'm involved in this right now.
[02:52:11] Speaker A: But.
[02:52:11] Speaker B: Yeah, but also confusion.
[02:52:14] Speaker A: It strikes you that it has a similar structure to the Lorevar. The noble, like, noble ones.
The ace of our.
The high ones.
Eldevar, old ones, Ancient ones.
This is not a term you've heard.
And with a fear, the goblin victim notices your confusion.
And as he.
Like the.
There's a slow spreading, like, grin. Of realization on his face as he sees your confusion.
You don't know, do you?
You don't know what lies in here.
My only regret now is that I won't see the moment where you find out.
And as his eyes open wide and his grin grows ever bolder,
[02:53:41] Speaker B: he.
[02:53:43] Speaker A: Through sort of like grinning teeth, The emperor awaits me. Glory to the Imperium.
He bellows out.
What do you do, Abe?
[02:54:01] Speaker D: I would like to put my hand over his face, please.
[02:54:09] Speaker E: I feel like we should keep him.
[02:54:11] Speaker D: Him.
I just wanna. I just gonna shut him up. Can I. Can I slam him against the wall?
But with my hand completely over his
[02:54:20] Speaker A: mouth, I'm spending the fear. He bellows Glory to the. Like. The emperor awaits me. Glory to the Imperium. And he shouts that out. And it echoes violently through this cave.
Just. But. And you're not. It's sudden enough that you manage to slam his head against the cave wall and he slumps in your hands as you knock him unconscious.
But Cooper, you hit. You hear this war cry.
Just reverberate forward, further and further into the cave.
People will be coming.
Just.
[02:55:10] Speaker B: Just as an aside, Daniel, I'm picking up the soldier's gun, Whatever the hell that is.
[02:55:16] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:55:16] Speaker B: I like what that's going in my pack.
[02:55:19] Speaker A: Just.
[02:55:19] Speaker B: Just. Just saying I'm getting. I'm getting something out of this murder that's happened that's going in my pack.
[02:55:27] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm looking. It helps picture in your head because I realize it looks very similar to. Did you watch Mandalorian? See like any of the Mandalorians?
[02:55:37] Speaker B: Yeah, the first. First season.
[02:55:39] Speaker A: First season. Perfect. It looks like Dinjarin's disintegrator gun.
[02:55:44] Speaker B: Nice. Okay.
[02:55:45] Speaker A: Black rifle, pronged ends, bayonet attached to the bottom.
Yeah, looks like. It looks tech advanced.
[02:55:56] Speaker B: Nice. Nice. Okay. Taking that.
Yeah, I'm gonna like.
I'm trying to think of what to do.
I feel like I don't know if the interrogation is now over.
Gonna like.
I think I'm gonna like, try and like, lean around the corner still in shadow. Shadow to be like.
[02:56:21] Speaker D: You'd hear the like, shout. Yeah, and they're just like a.
[02:56:28] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:56:29] Speaker B: I think Cooper will like, lean around and go, we're gonna have company.
[02:56:36] Speaker D: What happened to your guy?
[02:56:38] Speaker B: He's gone.
[02:56:41] Speaker D: Gone. Oh, more.
[02:56:43] Speaker B: You don't want to know. He's gone.
[02:56:47] Speaker D: Just like blood just across.
[02:56:49] Speaker B: Yeah, like, he's definitely got blood on him. He. He's gone.
Right.
[02:56:56] Speaker D: Okay.
[02:57:00] Speaker A: I will press you for some action because it seems there is activity emerging from deeper within this cave.
[02:57:09] Speaker D: Right. Are we pressing ahead, guys?
[02:57:12] Speaker E: We want to. We want to keep forward, do some fighting.
We want to keep one of them around just in case.
[02:57:19] Speaker C: Do we want to stick close to the wall?
[02:57:21] Speaker E: Yeah. Do we want to, like, extinguish our lanterns,
[02:57:26] Speaker D: a couple of them in, like, a little cube, and then put it in the.
Griffin.
[02:57:39] Speaker E: Our tank?
[02:57:44] Speaker A: That's true.
[02:57:46] Speaker D: Just before we go in.
[02:57:48] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[02:57:49] Speaker B: I'm.
[02:57:50] Speaker C: I'm more than happy to leave
[02:57:54] Speaker D: Fireball.
[02:57:54] Speaker E: I'm in this tiny corridor.
[02:57:56] Speaker D: Yeah, why not?
[02:57:58] Speaker C: Might as well get them.
[02:58:00] Speaker D: Cool.
[02:58:01] Speaker C: I'm going front then.
[02:58:02] Speaker A: Let's go.
Okay, so Griffin's leading charge.
[02:58:04] Speaker D: Yeah, he is.
[02:58:06] Speaker B: Can I stick to the shadows, please? So then if I stick, like, trying to keep, like. So these guys are still near me, but I'm kind of just enough away that I can from a vantage point, either use my potentially new shiny toy or my crossbow for shenanigans.
[02:58:25] Speaker A: Sure, sure.
So I will say. Say I. I'll give you a slight bit of radius around you so you can see.
And then. Yeah, if it's. If it's shadowy on your screen, then it is in shadow. Unless someone bundled, like, someone comes along with the light source. It will illuminate where you are, so it'll be very obvious if you're in shadow or not.
But, yes, you can absolutely begin moving up, because I'm gonna spend a fear.
And. Sorry, Cooper, you, Out of the way. We just illuminated. Cooper, you. You hear, like, as you begin moving up into the cavern proper.
Cooper, up ahead. You hear someone check out that noise. Fan out.
And. Yeah, you hear some movement within the cave.
[02:59:35] Speaker B: And.
[02:59:40] Speaker A: I will spend a fear to activate.
Was it five?
Up to five allies, yes.
Okay, you hear. Yeah, you hear the sounds of boots, like, running around in the cave beyond.
Okay.
Yeah. Position yourselves where you want to go. Within reason.
[03:00:13] Speaker B: Yeah. You guys, if you can want to go ahead of me. I'll still be in shadow at this point. I'm just trying to keep to a shadow, so because it's useful to.
You, like, walking past me as I'm just, like, covered in blood with this new weapon, just like.
[03:00:32] Speaker D: Okay,
[03:00:39] Speaker A: Okay. So you are beginning to move up. I'm just very quickly building your weapon.
Magical tier 3.
[03:00:56] Speaker B: Minus one.
[03:00:59] Speaker A: Cool. We'll do that for now, just in case you need to use it.
Cool. So where's. So those of you moved up. Guardi.
Guardi will take the burden of carrying the goblin with you, because I assume you don't want to leave him behind.
[03:01:17] Speaker D: Or is he knocked out?
[03:01:18] Speaker A: He's knocked out.
[03:01:19] Speaker B: Yeah.
[03:01:23] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah. Kickram will move up as well.
So as you approach forward yeah you can see that sort of like to your left there is what appears to be a slope for heads up and from where you are now you can see especially you Cooper there appears to be some sort of like more tentage like tents up the left hand side or this cave seemingly splits off to the right.
And so this is where you watch the ignorance bright I return from.
And yeah more you can see more tents in that direction too. But it's from that direction that you can hear the sound of footsteps approaching.
[03:02:11] Speaker C: Do we want to. Do we want to go up? Do we want to go.
Don't really want to go towards the footsteps.
[03:02:19] Speaker E: We want to get rid of the footsteps. Gotta go towards them.
[03:02:26] Speaker D: Come on, let's go see him.
Go. Hello new friends.
[03:02:35] Speaker C: Which way down or up? Because it's down leading to the camp.
[03:02:41] Speaker A: Yeah at this point you see that there is a. There is a dividend it in the canon.
[03:02:47] Speaker B: Hello.
[03:02:48] Speaker D: I'll follow you.
[03:02:50] Speaker A: Okay, calm down.
[03:02:53] Speaker E: Following Mr. Fireball as you, as you
[03:02:58] Speaker A: filter around Guardi Guardi hurries to to catch you up with goblin soldier in tow.
Cooper you from your position you hear footsteps approaching and you can see on the edge of the glow from the mushrooms just further up there is what appears to be an ace of our late like lady like an ace of Ari soldier. She's running around the corner like well she runs around the corner like gun raised and then stops and sort of like begins scanning the area like like scanning the the the the lit cavern behind you.
[03:03:46] Speaker B: Okay. I'm technically still in shadow.
[03:03:49] Speaker A: Yes.
[03:03:51] Speaker B: I'm. I'm tempted to use this new firearm because let's be honest everyone else is going to just the moment they see anyone else they're not going to hide, they're just going to attack. Okay. I know this, I know this party well enough that stealth is not really our MMO usually.
So I think it's probably wise for me if I can do any further damage to the soldier.
[03:04:15] Speaker A: Okay.
[03:04:16] Speaker B: To do so.
[03:04:17] Speaker A: In which case yeah you watch as this imperial soldier like stops and so she's scanning the area. She's creeping forward ever so slightly.
I.
Yeah. Okay.
If you want to attack her you are hidden like you are cloaked so you get advantage to attack.
[03:04:39] Speaker B: Okay.
Yeah.
[03:04:41] Speaker A: You're lying low. There's a. There's a load of sort like bush like lichen dressing the floor immediately in front of you. That gives you a bit of coverage.
[03:04:52] Speaker B: Okay. I'd like to having inspected the firearm and it's like taking my mind off what's going on. Obviously alimony was mine before gas had it. So I do know how to use firearms though. This is obviously very different to what I'm used to.
Bit more, I imagine it's a bit
[03:05:11] Speaker C: more
[03:05:15] Speaker B: ergonomical and more friend. Like it feels like it's built for a soldier. Right. It's built, built for battle.
[03:05:21] Speaker A: Longer.
[03:05:22] Speaker B: It's longer.
[03:05:22] Speaker A: Notice how much longer it is.
[03:05:24] Speaker B: Cool.
Okay, well I'm gonna, I'm gonna give it a go. Okay, let's see what it does.
[03:05:30] Speaker A: So as you peer down the, the length of this firearm and you can see that there are a couple of sort of like iron sights to give you position. You can see the two prongs act as part of the, the guide as you peer down it and you, yeah. You draw this, this soldier in your aims and.
[03:05:49] Speaker B: Yeah, okay. So I think.
[03:05:56] Speaker A: Cool.
I hope I.
[03:06:00] Speaker B: Let's find out. I'm gonna add.
No, actually no, I'm not going to add anything. Do I get advantage for also being in shadow?
[03:06:07] Speaker A: Correct.
[03:06:08] Speaker B: Okay, so I'm just going to see what happens when I roll. Normally
[03:06:14] Speaker A: it should be plus four on top of every plus.
[03:06:20] Speaker B: So it's an 18 with fear.
[03:06:23] Speaker C: It looks like it's done the plus.
[03:06:25] Speaker A: Yes. Yeah, it's not right. Okay, Brad. Well, it's actually. So it should be plus one on top of all of that. So 19 with fear.
Okay, that is a hit.
Okay, I'll take my fear, but that is a hit.
Roll for damage and you get your sneak.
[03:06:42] Speaker B: Cool. So roll, roll. Damage.
Nice. Damage. And then my sneak is 3D6.
[03:06:53] Speaker A: Yeah. So 19 damage plus.
[03:06:59] Speaker B: Nice.
[03:07:00] Speaker A: 19, 29, 34. Three points of damage.
[03:07:05] Speaker D: Awesome.
[03:07:07] Speaker A: Okay, you aim like you close an eye. You take in a breath as you and squeeze on the trigger.
You watch as this silvery blue light seemingly arcs between the prongs at the end of the firearm. And as the bolt fires like you know what alimony sounds like? It's, it sounds like a crap crack, like a crack of lightning. And you know, firearms in general, you know, the fire, the fire aligned firearms, they sound like an explosion. And you know, so and so this bluish silver light bursts out the end of the firearm like arcing towards this, this soldier. She looks up at the last moment and Cooper, you yourself are caught unaware as the, the blast is a.
Sounds like a scream, like a screech and it arcs into the, the soldier and she, she, she's blasted backwards.
She's launched before I was going to say explode. I was.
She is launched backwards like she's lifted off her feet. You. You are shocked firstly by the sound it made. Secondly by the amount of kinetic force is imposed on her. She goes flying back into like collapses the tent.
And as you like as your focus filter like returns from aiming mode to observing mode, you see that her skin has seemingly just like dried. She looks like an ossified corpse.
Like she's just had the moisture boiled out of her.
And this dried husk in this silver armor with this blast mark across its chest like splash laid out in the tent in front of you.
And as she slumps and her armor clanks off the ground, you hear from seeming like you hear from above her like above her corpse contact.
And it would seem that the sound of the. The the sound of the firearm firing has drawn attention to your location.
[03:09:46] Speaker D: You think
[03:09:50] Speaker A: the can she.
[03:09:57] Speaker D: Sure.
[03:09:58] Speaker A: Yeah. You hear a voice shout out contact. And there is sounds of more movement within the camera behave as people begin. It sounds like people are beginning to move around and close in on your location.
Everyone else, it would seem that your location has been given away somewhat.
What's. What's Abe doing?
[03:10:23] Speaker D: You're a coup.
[03:10:24] Speaker A: Yeah.
[03:10:27] Speaker D: What the hell was that?
[03:10:29] Speaker B: No talk boy. A bit loud, bit weird sound.
[03:10:33] Speaker A: Sounds almost like a banshee scream.
[03:10:36] Speaker D: Yeah.
Well I think they know where we are now. So let's get. Let's get cracking.
[03:10:44] Speaker A: Well I will move you. I will. I'll bring up the spotlight checker. Yeah.
[03:10:50] Speaker D: Who.
[03:10:50] Speaker A: Who wants to pick up after coup or just want to go again?
[03:10:54] Speaker B: I'm to. I'm gonna join the group now because there's no point me stealthing around if we're not stealthing anymore.
[03:11:01] Speaker D: Are we continuing up? So we're going down a dead end here in a week.
[03:11:05] Speaker A: So from where. From where you're stood as you. As you move up you can see that there is a large like a larger tent with a red like flag hanging limply off a. Off a central mast.
This does look like a bit of a dead end. But if you want to loot this area you absolutely can just tell me how what like what you're using to loot.
[03:11:30] Speaker D: What looking.
[03:11:34] Speaker C: Yeah.
[03:11:35] Speaker A: So if you want to roll me an instinct.
[03:11:37] Speaker C: Do you want some help?
[03:11:39] Speaker A: If you want to spend the hope you can do the direct help.
[03:11:42] Speaker C: Spend a help and help you out.
[03:11:45] Speaker E: Yeah.
[03:11:45] Speaker D: Okay.
Is that with advantage?
[03:11:52] Speaker A: Correct.
[03:11:55] Speaker D: So instinct.
[03:12:10] Speaker A: Bring your mic in closest to master.
[03:12:12] Speaker D: Oh sorry. Can I use my experience of being self sufficient. Yeah as very good at looking at things.
[03:12:18] Speaker A: Absolutely.
[03:12:21] Speaker D: Thank you very much.
That's a 15 with. Yeah.
[03:12:28] Speaker A: 15 with fear.
So you.
So you have a little rummage round, and unfortunately, you don't find anything.
So that gains me a fear.
Cooper, you hear more footsteps approaching.
Who wants to go next?
[03:13:03] Speaker D: What.
[03:13:03] Speaker A: What's Cass doing?
[03:13:05] Speaker E: I think Cass will also have a rummage.
[03:13:08] Speaker A: Okay.
What ability would you like to use?
[03:13:16] Speaker E: That is a good question.
Where am I? Where's my stuff?
[03:13:19] Speaker D: There is
[03:13:22] Speaker E: finesse.
Well, actually, instinct to intuit
[03:13:31] Speaker C: things.
[03:13:31] Speaker D: Yeah.
[03:13:32] Speaker A: You can perceive. Yep, that sounds good.
[03:13:34] Speaker E: Cool.
That roll.
[03:13:43] Speaker A: Same again, 15 with fear. So unfortunately not.
Cooper, you can hear the sounds of firearms clicking, like, as they're being kind of primed. It would seem they're getting closer.
[03:14:06] Speaker D: Can I make my way downtown?
[03:14:12] Speaker A: So you'd have. Yeah, if you head back down towards Guardi.
[03:14:15] Speaker D: Yep.
[03:14:16] Speaker A: Then you'd have to. Yeah. Go around the white lines. What's Griffin doing? Oh, sorry, Abe. If I can have a agility check. If you're going that far.
[03:14:26] Speaker D: Yeah, of course.
[03:14:37] Speaker A: And while that's happening, what's Griffin doing?
[03:14:40] Speaker B: Griffin's also going to do an agility check.
[03:14:43] Speaker D: Join thirteen with hope.
[03:14:46] Speaker A: Thirteen with hope is fine because this area has been cleared, so you do get the hope. Yeah. Griffin, if you. Romy, agility check as well, please.
Okay. A 16 with fear is also enough.
I gain the fear.
[03:15:08] Speaker B: And.
[03:15:13] Speaker D: Yeah.
[03:15:14] Speaker A: Abe, as you come around the court. Well, Abe and Griffin, as you come around the corner to see Coop, sort of like. Well, you almost trip over Coop as you come around the corner.
And from the darkness, A screech rips out abe. That's a 16 to hit.
Abe, you are shot for 16 hit points. 16 damage, baby.
And, Cooper, you realize the shot came from the darkness. So someone is clearly watching for movement within the light of which Griffin is currently carrying. Griffin and Abe are both carrying lanterns.
[03:16:14] Speaker D: Okay, can put them out.
[03:16:17] Speaker A: Put them out.
[03:16:20] Speaker D: I'm trying to put them out. I just got to find them first.
[03:16:23] Speaker B: No, the lanterns.
[03:16:24] Speaker D: The lanterns.
Can I throw my lantern behind me?
[03:16:29] Speaker A: Yes.
[03:16:31] Speaker C: Oh. Griffin will follow suit and throw his lance in the same way that Abe's Froggy.
[03:16:37] Speaker A: The lanterns are discarded. Okay, so you are both now in. You're still in the light of the glowing mushrooms, but, yeah, if you step forward, you know you'll be back in darkness. Cooper, you are in darkness.
So, yes, a soldier has fired at you. I'm gonna spend another fear to
[03:17:07] Speaker E: you
[03:17:07] Speaker A: Hear more footsteps, like, close to you.
And then you hear a voice shout out, where are they?
As your lanterns discarded into the. The lit room behind you.
What's Cass doing?
[03:17:25] Speaker E: I think Cass will pop foot over to everyone else.
[03:17:30] Speaker A: Okie dokie. If you want to get there in a speedy, speedy manner. Agility check, please.
Okay, so you get part way.
[03:17:49] Speaker B: Cool.
[03:17:50] Speaker A: You do gain a hope though.
[03:17:51] Speaker E: I do get a hope. That's something.
[03:17:55] Speaker A: Okay, you hear.
So Griffin, Abe, Cooper, like Gardy joins you and you hear. So you've just heard this flush out. Where are they?
The second voice, the one that was above the corpse. You heard there somewhere in there. Light that area up and I mean, is it. Is it weird to hear soldiers communicating with one another? And tactic being tactical, yes, you would. It seems that you're hiding. Your. Your place of shadow may not be shadowy for much longer.
Who wants to go next?
[03:18:37] Speaker D: I'll move up.
Move up
[03:18:43] Speaker A: as you come barreling around the corner.
Abe, I'm gonna need a reaction instinct roll.
[03:18:55] Speaker D: Reaction instinct.
React on.
That's a seven.
[03:19:09] Speaker A: Okay, you, as you sort of like run around the corner and you sort of like run into darkness. You've just sort like got your head down.
Like you can see that there's a tent illuminated slightly in front of you. But before you get it, you. Your legs, like your knees hit something. There is a.
There's a cry of pain as you have clearly just run into one of these imperial soldiers in the darkness.
The two of you sort of like collide like.
Like a. You trip over whoever it was you've just run into.
And yeah, the soldier tangled in amongst your leg shout.
Yeah, you. You stop where you are because you are currently tangled up with what appears to be a soldier.
[03:20:04] Speaker D: Darkness, oh my.
[03:20:06] Speaker A: In the darkness I will spend another fear. And you, Cooper, you watch as a red light like fizzes into life, seemingly from where the. The voice that was above, like hidden, stood in the darkness above the corpse. This red light fizzes into life and a flare is thrown down towards her ally, which is.
It's red. There we go. And we'll make it.
Yeah. Okay, I think a red flag flare is thrown down and illuminates what appears to be a. An armored goblin and Abe. The goblin is currently wrapped in between Abe's legs.
And yeah, you see, like so you know that there is a presumably a sniper up in the darkness somewhere.
[03:21:12] Speaker B: Okay, well, two can play at that game. I'm still in the shadow.
[03:21:17] Speaker A: Yeah.
[03:21:18] Speaker B: If anyone doesn't mind me having a go, I'm just going to use the firearm again at goblin at Abe's legs because we need Abe to get to the sniper.
[03:21:26] Speaker A: Okay. I will.
So being in the shadows will give you advantage. I will ask for disadvantage because you're trying not to hit Abe.
[03:21:36] Speaker B: That's fine. Okay.
[03:21:38] Speaker A: Like the goblin, the goblin soldier is a significantly smaller target than a.
[03:21:43] Speaker B: That's right. I'll also add a hope. One of my hope to do. Excellent aim. I've still got my rally dice.
We'll see what happens with that as well.
So yeah, hopefully that's gonna help.
Okay,
[03:22:04] Speaker D: nice.
[03:22:05] Speaker C: Nice.
[03:22:06] Speaker A: 18 with hope. That is a hit.
Cool.
[03:22:12] Speaker B: Right?
[03:22:14] Speaker A: Okay, so there's a
[03:22:17] Speaker B: roll damage
[03:22:20] Speaker A: and there is an ally within melee range. So.
[03:22:24] Speaker B: So sneak attack time.
[03:22:25] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[03:22:27] Speaker D: Can't get much more into melee range than and entangled with one another.
[03:22:31] Speaker B: I mean, I was also hidden in shadow as well. So.
[03:22:35] Speaker A: Yeah, this. This goblin is inhabiting Abe's grundle right now.
[03:22:40] Speaker D: That's what. That's not Texas.
[03:22:41] Speaker A: Final hit point 25 damage.
Abe, that you watch as this silvery blue light arcs out from the darkness where Cooper is raw like, sweeps towards you, but strikes. Strikes this goblin like goblin in the back. And as she like she screams. And you watch as the skin on her face just dries up in a moment. And then she's blasted forward on top of you.
And like she immediately goes limp as the. Like clearly the muscles that are holding her bones in place place just wither and she. She almost clatters across your form as she's blasted away by this rifle.
But yeah, that severe damage and she has three health.
Okay, very good.
Who wants to take the next turn?
[03:23:45] Speaker D: Can I sense how high up this sniper is?
You can give me throwing that flare.
[03:23:58] Speaker A: Yeah. So give me a. An instant reaction check.
Okay.
[03:24:12] Speaker D: 20.
[03:24:13] Speaker A: 20.
You know, like you can't see her, but you will. Tell you what I can. Let's illuminate her ever so slightly.
You know, like you can gauge in the darkness where she was.
But she's quite a way up.
Like It's a good 20 foot. 20 foot climb.
But it would seem that, yeah, she is in a relatively commanding sniping position.
And all she needs is for you to be in a well lit area.
[03:24:55] Speaker D: No problem. Can I grab this flare?
[03:24:58] Speaker A: Yes.
[03:24:59] Speaker D: And.
[03:25:02] Speaker A: And throw it at her.
[03:25:03] Speaker D: Throw it at her. Yeah, let's throw her. She can have.
[03:25:08] Speaker A: Can I have a.
I think it's gonna be a strength check. Yeah.
At this point, I think you just need the raw oomph to get it up for up the incline.
[03:25:27] Speaker D: 20
[03:25:29] Speaker A: with.
[03:25:34] Speaker D: Sorry, I thought it was right.
[03:25:35] Speaker A: That's right. So 20 with fear. That is fine. So you throw this flare the 20 foot, like, it spirals up the. Like the red light fizzing as it goes.
And it clatters alongside what appears to be a keeper dressed in the same sort of armor. And she sort of like, oh. Looks down at this flare holding this rifle.
Who's. So that was Abe.
[03:26:02] Speaker D: Yeah. I think he'll just call back just like, somebody get her.
[03:26:07] Speaker A: I will duck in. And as you throw the flare up and you shout somebody together before someone gets a chance to capitalize.
This soldier, this keeper soldier, like, ducks down, like, crouches down and then retreats out of kind of line of sight.
But at least the way is open.
What's Cass doing?
[03:26:37] Speaker E: I think Cass is running the rest of the way to where she failed to run last time.
[03:26:42] Speaker A: Okay, okay, okay.
Agility check. Well, a normal, like, just moving will get you to like, Cooper and Griffin. Agility track will get you to Abe.
[03:26:54] Speaker E: I'll try and run to Abe. Why not?
[03:26:56] Speaker A: Okay,
[03:27:01] Speaker E: Roll that.
I don't think I get to a.
[03:27:05] Speaker A: You do. Yeah, that's fine. 15 with Hope. So you also get the hope and yeah. You join. You join up with Abe, who's You can just about make out lying prone
[03:27:15] Speaker D: on the ground, just pointing at where a person was.
[03:27:21] Speaker A: Griffin. And yeah. What's Griffin doing?
[03:27:26] Speaker C: Griffin's also going to run up to towards Abe.
[03:27:30] Speaker A: Yep.
[03:27:31] Speaker C: And see if there's anything else.
[03:27:34] Speaker D: Help me up, lad.
[03:27:38] Speaker A: Your mad. Can't get up.
[03:27:42] Speaker E: It takes all of us, like.
[03:27:44] Speaker A: Yeah, both of us just really little ace of ours get you up. So I will say, as you emerge out into like. As you arrive at Abe, you can see that there are a number of. There's a collapsed tent immediately to your left that has this ossified corpse, like decorating it. There's a large. What almost looks like a more senior or more command tent immediately in front of you. The Abe's kind of tent tangled up in. There are a number of smaller tents just to, like, just behind that.
And then in the glow of the mushrooms, you can see another larger tent over to your right.
And then just sort of like bits of the cave kind of like fanning out from your location away from you.
[03:28:26] Speaker C: Okay.
Could I go in this more senior tent and have a little. And have a little rummage around and see if we can find anything.
[03:28:33] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, absolutely. What is it? What you're using to look.
[03:28:40] Speaker C: I can't. It's gonna have to be instant. Yeah. It's gonna have to be an instinct.
There's nothing I can really use to sort of get that thing.
[03:28:51] Speaker A: I Mean instinct or knowledge, to be fair, because you could be like, where do I think things are being hidden?
[03:28:56] Speaker C: Both of them are exactly the same.
[03:28:57] Speaker A: Exactly the same. Exactly the same.
[03:28:59] Speaker C: So, yeah, I'm just gonna raw dog this one.
[03:29:04] Speaker A: I love that he's been like, help me up, lad, and you just stepped over him for loot.
[03:29:09] Speaker E: Just a minute.
[03:29:09] Speaker B: Just a minute.
[03:29:11] Speaker A: Okay, so attend with. Hope you don't manage to find anything.
But, I mean, everything's in order. You're going to hope.
Okay. Quite nice in here, actually, off the back of the. That I will.
So, yeah, Griffin is you. Well, perhaps what makes you. That gives you that sense, that feeling of hope, is that you hear a voice shout out, fall back. Fall back.
From somewhere. It's not the voice from the. The Keeper. The Keeper sniper. But, yeah, you. You hear an order to fall back. So some of the pressure has been relieved from you.
[03:29:50] Speaker C: Yeah, you better fall back.
[03:29:52] Speaker D: Yeah, good way.
[03:29:57] Speaker B: What.
[03:29:59] Speaker A: What's Cooper doing?
[03:30:01] Speaker B: Cooper is just. He's watching, waiting to see if he needs to. So is. Is the sniper being taken care of? Sorry, I. I must have missed that. That's right.
[03:30:09] Speaker A: So the sniper's been lit up by the flare.
[03:30:11] Speaker D: Cool.
[03:30:12] Speaker A: And then as a reaction, just sort of like, ducked out and kind of fled. Fled the area. So, yeah, the. The sniper has been temporarily dealt with.
[03:30:22] Speaker B: Okay, cool.
If everyone else has moved up, I will follow behind, but keeping to shadow when I can. So looking ready to join. So who's gone? Who's got the furthest?
[03:30:39] Speaker A: Griffin's ducks into a tent up ahead, and then Abes on the floor. The floor looking grumpily at Griffin.
Cass is behind Abe, and Guardi's just dashed past you. What am I doing with this goblin?
[03:30:56] Speaker D: Just. Just keep. Take care of him.
[03:30:59] Speaker A: This goblin, like, wedding style. Just.
[03:31:03] Speaker B: It's like the bridal. The bridal run.
Cass is gonna. Sorry. Our Keeper's gonna move up to be with Cass, and I think he's just gonna have the weapon and just keep looking around.
And then also, Cass gets us. See, she's used to firearms.
[03:31:21] Speaker E: Cass is gonna say, what is that thing?
[03:31:25] Speaker A: Is what it is.
[03:31:26] Speaker B: Yeah, that is exactly what Cooper says.
It's a very powerful gun.
Useful.
[03:31:34] Speaker E: Be careful where you're aiming it.
[03:31:35] Speaker D: All right?
[03:31:36] Speaker B: I promise.
[03:31:37] Speaker D: You nearly bloody shot me.
[03:31:39] Speaker B: I did not.
[03:31:41] Speaker A: Dan.
[03:31:42] Speaker E: Question.
[03:31:42] Speaker A: Answer the.
[03:31:44] Speaker C: The first soldier that Cooper shot, did they also have a gun?
[03:31:51] Speaker D: Yeah, there should be the one that
[03:31:53] Speaker C: fell into that tent.
[03:31:57] Speaker A: There are two guns. There are currently two guns. Yes, there is a second. I think there is a second gun.
[03:32:06] Speaker B: Yeah. There would have been a gun dropped if you'd have gone past it. So if.
[03:32:11] Speaker A: Who. Who else is picking up a gun?
[03:32:14] Speaker B: Or technically, I could have picked it up on my way, Just like Max Payne or John Wick.
No, I feel like I pick up the other gun and the person that I know who knows how to handle guns would be Cass.
[03:32:31] Speaker A: Oh, you're in a tent.
[03:32:35] Speaker B: You're in a tent. I can't see you.
[03:32:38] Speaker D: Everyone just goes, kiss Cass.
[03:32:41] Speaker B: Everyone just goes, Cass, next time.
[03:32:46] Speaker A: Okay, in.
In which case, yeah, Cass, you. If you. If you so wish, you now have. Have an imperial firearm as well.
Do. Do you wish.
Do you wish for an imperial firearm?
[03:33:01] Speaker E: Always my deepest dreams. Done.
[03:33:05] Speaker D: She scream.
[03:33:06] Speaker A: Imperial firearm is now in your inventory.
[03:33:10] Speaker E: The way to my heart.
[03:33:13] Speaker B: I mean, you can't say that, you know, I've given it my life to Africa.
Gave you your first gun. They're giving you another gun.
Headaches, temper.
[03:33:29] Speaker C: Why did they ever split up?
[03:33:33] Speaker A: Okay. Very, very good.
So, yeah, you. You know that the imperial soldiers are falling back, but that also. Well, as Kick Frana, right, Like, arrives next to you and he, surprisingly, he's the one that heaves you up off the floor. Abe.
He, like, he. He turned like, kick friend turns to you. And if they're falling back to us, if they're falling back to a more defended position, that may be more dangerous for us, he says. And then you watch as he, like, vanishes off into the shadow, appears, tells you off, leaves.
[03:34:18] Speaker D: Yeah.
Would you want to go ahead and. Oh, he's gone again.
[03:34:25] Speaker A: So, yeah. Who wants to pick up next?
[03:34:31] Speaker E: If I can get a hold of one of them, there's a chance I can find the rest because I have chain lightning.
[03:34:39] Speaker A: Ah, so maybe you're very deliberately waiting.
[03:34:46] Speaker E: I mean, if we can. Yeah, if we can find one of them, I can probably get the rest, possibly depending how far away they are from each other.
[03:34:53] Speaker C: I mean, I could possibly go up and do wall of flame as far away as possible to illuminate where most of them are. Are.
[03:35:05] Speaker E: Or to stop them from escaping.
[03:35:06] Speaker C: Or stop them escaping.
[03:35:07] Speaker D: Yeah, we use it as like a
[03:35:09] Speaker E: Hurting them towards us.
[03:35:11] Speaker D: Hurt them in with the w. Flame.
[03:35:14] Speaker C: Yeah.
[03:35:15] Speaker D: War flame. War flame come out.
[03:35:19] Speaker A: Okay, so, Griffin, in that case, as you duck out, like through between the tents, you can see that. You can hear and see, see the sounds of the keeper soldier who's up on the ridge.
She is seemingly running sort of like going full tilt to run rounds down a slope that kind of leads down into this area in front of you. You can see that behind the tents is a kind of a depressed area with what appears to be this kind of. There's a it all. It looks like a pool of water that is glowing with the same kind of bioluminescence as the blue flower. Like the blue leaves that. That are scattered throughout this cave. But stood next to the pool is what appears to be a Larovar woman wearing similar armor to the rest of the soldiers, but she's wearing a more ornate helmet with what appears to be like two goggle like lenses over her eyes.
She wears a white cloak, like scarf cloak combo over her shoulders. And she's armed with a pistol and a, like a short blade. A short curved blade.
[03:36:38] Speaker C: Okay.
[03:36:39] Speaker A: Yeah. She, she like, she. She's currently looking up towards the keeper who's seemingly double timing back to her.
[03:36:49] Speaker C: What are you guys thinking? Should I fireball this one person or should I just wall a flame and get them all?
Get them back, get them, get them, go back.
[03:36:59] Speaker E: What does your heart say?
[03:37:00] Speaker C: Oh, I do like fireball.
I'm gonna.
I'm gonna fireball this person. Seeing as they are in very. They're in far range.
[03:37:15] Speaker A: Yeah.
[03:37:16] Speaker E: And they look like they're in very flammable clothing as well.
[03:37:19] Speaker D: Yeah.
[03:37:24] Speaker C: Fireball.
I'm going to spend a hope to use knowledge of arcane magic along with it.
[03:37:31] Speaker A: Okay.
And.
[03:37:35] Speaker C: And a bo.
So 23 with hope.
[03:37:42] Speaker A: 23 with hope.
Okay.
So as this sergeant like looks up and she's like, fall back, fall back. She turns and her armor is lit up by this bead of fire that like arcs to water.
So what is it? You need to roll against the target on a success?
So the. The moat of fire hits bang on where you want it to.
[03:38:13] Speaker C: Okay.
[03:38:14] Speaker A: They must make a reaction roll. So the sergeant makes a reaction rolls a three.
So yeah, 3D20 magic damage. A 3D20 plus five magic damage.
[03:38:28] Speaker D: Yeah.
[03:38:35] Speaker A: 34 magic damage. The explosion rips out no one close by as well. There is currently no one nearby. As the. The fireball lights up, you see that the sergeant is currently on her own.
Yes. The. The. The fire peels out and the sergeant is launched backwards.
She lands heavily with a thud like a few feet back.
The front of her like gleaming silver. Like blued silver armor charred by your fireball attack.
And then you watch as she like sits back up and pulls herself to her feet and into the darkness.
Ah, it's not even to the darkness. She looks towards you and she shouts. Is that the best you've got?
[03:39:29] Speaker D: No,
[03:39:32] Speaker A: but she has tape. It looks like you know that an impact of that magnitude would deal at least major damage.
[03:39:40] Speaker B: Cool.
[03:39:43] Speaker A: I'm going to.
Gonna in.
No. Who wants to go next?
[03:39:57] Speaker E: Can I.
Is there where my spells.
[03:40:05] Speaker C: Yeah, you're hitting rocks. Can I get you hitting rock there as well? It's sort of like. It goes. There's sort of like a big rock around the right. So you're gonna have to go around.
[03:40:21] Speaker A: Yeah. There's a large. Like these. These tents appear to be built up around like a column that rises up to the roof.
What's a doing?
[03:40:37] Speaker D: Can I. If I go that way and then that way.
It's far. Can I do an agility roll to get that?
[03:40:48] Speaker A: You've already gone close here, so you can get to.
Yeah, you can just about make it.
[03:41:02] Speaker D: Oh, a rock.
No, that's a rock.
[03:41:05] Speaker A: Remember, white lines.
If you. If you ace your agility roll, you make it. You're currently at the end of the tents.
[03:41:18] Speaker D: Do an agility wall.
[03:41:25] Speaker A: That's a 17 with hope.
So you gain a hope and you do indeed, like land in like you bull rush up to this sergeant as she clambers to her feet. Hello.
[03:41:40] Speaker D: Hello.
Did somebody say, is that all you got?
I would like to smack her in the face, please. Yeah, absolutely.
[03:42:04] Speaker A: Okay. A14 with hope.
As you swing your ax down the soldier like this Sergeant, like so she's got a pistol in one hand and a, you know, a pointed curved blade in the other. Um, she lifts her gun hand up in a. Almost as if she's like shielding herself.
And your blade hits what appears to be some sort of magical, like field, like magical shield. And then she like having caught your blow, she then ducks out of the way as the shield parts and your axe like lands where she was.
But yeah, that is not a hit, unfortunately.
As she ducks backwards, she brings her like she steps back, like almost skips back and then levels a pistol at you and fires.
[03:43:03] Speaker D: Yeah.
[03:43:04] Speaker A: 22 to hit for.
32 damage.
Like, it also screams. This pistol screams at you as she pulls the trigger. And you're blasted by silver blue light.
[03:43:22] Speaker D: Unbelievable.
I'm gonna have to take one armor slot.
[03:43:32] Speaker A: I will one health. Then spend a fear to activate the other soldier.
And as she comes around the corner, she stood at the top of the slope, bearing down on you, seeing you looming over the sergeant.
The. The keeper imperial soldier skids to a stop, drops to one knee, quickly aims and fires.
That's a 14 to hit.
[03:44:02] Speaker D: That hits.
[03:44:03] Speaker A: Okay. And.
That's 27 damage also because it might slightly come into become relevant.
You are Also, under the effects of focused fire, you are. You are marked by this imperial soldier.
[03:44:33] Speaker D: No worries.
[03:44:36] Speaker A: So that was the imperial soldier on the hill. Who wants to grab the spotlight next?
[03:44:43] Speaker D: Is she now illuminated Cheese?
[03:44:47] Speaker A: Yes, she stood by some glow mushrooms.
[03:44:52] Speaker D: Good.
[03:44:52] Speaker A: All part of the plan.
[03:44:54] Speaker D: The people everybody would like to now have baited them out, like, to hit them.
[03:45:00] Speaker B: I would like to move, please.
I like, do the moving to an agility check if you need me to.
[03:45:06] Speaker A: So you'll buy Griffin, and then if you pass, you end up at the end of the fence.
[03:45:11] Speaker B: Okay. Just going to make sure I get to where I need to get to.
[03:45:15] Speaker A: So as you dash. Dash after Abe.
[03:45:17] Speaker B: Yeah, I feel like I need to shoot the sergeant. So, yeah, agility check.
Okay.
Not great.
[03:45:31] Speaker A: 12 with fear. So, unfortunately, you get stopped by Griffin kind of emerging from one of the tents. I keep. I ask you for a high five as you're going fast.
Okay.
[03:45:45] Speaker D: Yes.
[03:45:48] Speaker A: So I gain a fear, and as I. I will then take the turn.
And the sergeant, who's just sort of like, jump, like, shifted out of your reach. Abe. She shouts. Like, she shouts, fall back. And she moves to Abe, what appears to be.
Where is Abe? Like, she disappears into darkness. I don't think Abe. So, Abe, you can see there is a.
Like a jade blue.
Jade green glow coming from a gap in front of you.
And, yeah, you see the sergeant, like, seemingly disappear towards it. You then hear a.
Like a clatter as the keeper who was on the ramp down.
She's gonna make a reaction roll.
Yeah.
[03:46:54] Speaker D: Oh, yeah.
[03:46:55] Speaker A: She. You watch, like, you see her leap down off the ledge, like, land on the ground in front of you, and then rush to start to keep up with her sergeant?
Yes, I will. That will be another fear. Who. Who am I passing to?
[03:47:20] Speaker E: How far away? I assume if Cass.
Can Cass head over kind of to where Griffin and Cooper are from the distance, can she see where Abe is?
[03:47:33] Speaker A: You will be able to. Yes.
[03:47:34] Speaker E: Yeah. Can she head to that point and then teleport the rest of the way?
[03:47:39] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely.
[03:47:40] Speaker E: Does anyone want to come with her?
[03:47:43] Speaker C: Take Cooper with you?
[03:47:47] Speaker B: Yep. I'm happy with that.
[03:47:49] Speaker D: Puppies.
[03:47:52] Speaker A: Well, you can teleport multiples, right?
[03:47:55] Speaker E: Yes, I can actually. 2 post. 2 brace.
[03:47:57] Speaker B: Want to come with double uppies?
[03:47:58] Speaker D: Yes.
[03:47:58] Speaker A: Yes.
So I think it'll be three hope to teleport the three of you. Is that it?
[03:48:06] Speaker E: Yeah, Three hope.
[03:48:06] Speaker A: Yeah, Three hope. Okay. So, yeah, if you make me your spellcast roll.
[03:48:11] Speaker E: I think spellcast is instinct for me.
[03:48:14] Speaker D: Yeah.
[03:48:16] Speaker E: Checking.
[03:48:18] Speaker A: So as you chase after these. These retreating imperial soldiers, 20 with hope. So you gain a hope.
[03:48:25] Speaker B: Yep.
[03:48:26] Speaker A: And then spend three. And you can teleport how far?
[03:48:31] Speaker B: I think anywhere within far.
[03:48:33] Speaker A: Okay. That you can see. So. Yeah, I mean, you can get to.
In like just in front of Abe if you want.
[03:48:40] Speaker D: Yeah.
[03:48:40] Speaker A: Like anywhere where you can see currently.
[03:48:42] Speaker E: Yeah.
[03:48:43] Speaker A: You move yourself and I'll bring the other. I'll bring you boys with you.
[03:48:46] Speaker E: Come on, lads.
[03:48:48] Speaker A: Okay. And Bamf Cooper. And.
And you hear really from G behind you.
And G will like he. You hear a clatter as he discards the goblin in his may.
And yeah, he begins running after. Like he's jogging after you.
Okay, so who wants to take spotlight next? Ape. I mean, I guess you're.
[03:49:21] Speaker D: I mean, let's just head into the darkness.
[03:49:24] Speaker B: Yeah.
[03:49:27] Speaker A: Okay.
[03:49:28] Speaker E: Which is behind you.
[03:49:29] Speaker A: Roll me an instinct roll instant re.
So 2020. You as you kind of duck into the darkness, given that you've just seen her disappear in. And maybe perhaps because she's a honking great Keeper, you spy like in the gloom. You. You can see the Keeper. It'll be disadvantage to attack her because it's so gloomy, but at least you roughly know where she is.
[03:50:08] Speaker D: Oh, it's hit her. Give it a go.
I want.
Yes. Where's that gone there?
Attack and say disadvantage.
[03:50:24] Speaker A: Correct.
A15 with hope.
As you go to swing at this soldier. The Keeper ducks. And you. You feel your ax hit her horn. And there's a sound of bone cracking. Like what? Like bone like kerating cracking as you shear off the top of one of her horns. But she ducks out the way. You just missed.
[03:50:58] Speaker C: Or did you use it?
[03:50:59] Speaker D: I've already used my. Really?
[03:51:03] Speaker A: Yeah, she. You've just. Just missed. And then this imperial soldier, perhaps encouraged by the near miss she takes. She then like, disappears further into the darkness. You see her emerge by the bioluminescent, like water us a bit further in between.
Guardi. We'll take a free turn to catch up with you.
And he marvels at the water. But now is not the time.
Cooper or Griffin or Cass.
[03:51:39] Speaker B: What.
[03:51:40] Speaker A: What do or rape. Who wants to go next?
[03:51:43] Speaker B: Happy to do some shooting.
[03:51:45] Speaker A: Okay.
[03:51:46] Speaker B: Can I. Can I see anyone from here? From the saunter spirit point. I just need to get closer.
[03:51:50] Speaker A: Yeah, no, I mean if you can currently, if you can see him, you can see him. So I believe you can see the Keeper that's just kind of dashed in is now illuminated in this like light blue bioluminescent light.
[03:52:03] Speaker B: That's right. I want to imperial aim my firearm.
[03:52:08] Speaker A: Okay.
[03:52:09] Speaker B: Okay.
That go cool. All Right. So how much? I forgot.
Let's do excellent aim as well. I am technically in shadow. No, I'm not in shadow. No, I'm not sure. I just checked. I was like, nope, I'm not. But I have been standing still. That's fine. It's cool. Let's do it. Let's go.
Not great.
[03:52:42] Speaker A: 18 fear is a hit.
[03:52:45] Speaker B: I forget. There's so many more valuables on you.
Oh, okay.
[03:52:49] Speaker D: It's good.
[03:52:51] Speaker A: An 18 with fear hits, I gain a fear roll for damage.
No sneak attack. I don't.
[03:52:59] Speaker B: That's fine.
13.
[03:53:06] Speaker A: Okay, so there is a roar. There's a screech from your gun as you fire again, and it blasts the. The keeper in the back. And she kind of yells out. She staggers a few steps and collapses to one knee. But she, like, slowly pulls herself up, and you hear, like, a new male voice shout, get up. Get up.
[03:53:27] Speaker D: Come on.
[03:53:28] Speaker A: From within this area where this stream is Griffin or Cass or rape, by means, mark yourself in the tracker if you want to have a go.
[03:53:45] Speaker C: I can have a. Another whack with fireball again.
[03:53:48] Speaker A: Okay. Are you aiming at the. The soldiers just been shot.
[03:53:53] Speaker D: Yeah.
[03:53:53] Speaker A: Okay.
Okay.
[03:54:00] Speaker C: I always have to find out which book it's in. I've got all these books. There it is. Book of Nori.
[03:54:08] Speaker A: Yeah. She is now a slightly stationary target.
[03:54:12] Speaker C: Okay, I'm gonna spend another experience. I'm gonna spend my arcade magic again.
[03:54:16] Speaker A: Okay. Okay.
28. 20. Every fear is a hit. Nice.
[03:54:27] Speaker C: Roll for damage.
Remember that? She also gets a reaction roll as well.
[03:54:31] Speaker A: Yes.
[03:54:33] Speaker C: So about all of the targets in
[03:54:36] Speaker A: range get a reaction, so she rolls a four. What's this? A reaction roll against 13.
[03:54:43] Speaker C: So you do pass it, but that means you only take half damage.
[03:54:46] Speaker A: Okay, so she takes half, maybe because she's crouching.
The soldier that's rushing rushed over to help her, Rolls a one.
And unbeknownst to you, you see her illuminate as the motor fire goes past her, but the sergeant rolls a four. Oh, sorry. Bring my pardon. The soldier that got clapped for. Oh, he rolled a one, didn't he?
Yeah, I'm not gonna. Not gonna do much for that. Okay, so, yes, one of the two of them taking full damage.
29.
So the soldier that's kind of rushed in to help 29 is blown back and collides with something hard enough that he immediately perishes the sergeant. 29.
[03:55:49] Speaker D: She.
[03:55:50] Speaker A: She is buffeted by the flames that are funneled by the corridor she's in. She takes major damage, and 29. Halved, uh, is 14.
So that is uh, the. The soldier that was kneeling that you. The. The keeper sniper. Um, she. She is incinerated by the explosion as she takes major damage as well. So she is gone.
Very good.
[03:56:20] Speaker B: I think I got them.
[03:56:23] Speaker A: In which case I will. Yes. It seems to be wrapping out the. The sergeant picks herself up. She's charred from the front. She's charred from the back.
She's tanked two fireballs. And she's going to dash to like you see a dash to the end of this bridge.
And with a heave, she slides the bridge. She lifts her end of the bridge up and then tosses it into the waters.
And then that's. That's the end of her turn.
Who wants to go next?
[03:57:13] Speaker D: Yeah, I mean, I'll just keep going into the darkness.
[03:57:17] Speaker A: Yeah.
[03:57:18] Speaker D: Yes.
[03:57:18] Speaker B: Okay.
[03:57:19] Speaker A: Okay. Speaking of darkness, keep trying to injury.
So Abe is you. Yeah. You kind of feel your way through and you appear to have gone through this like large 10 foot ish wide doorway.
There are like what appear to be crafted stone columns that mark the sides of this doorway.
But the area around you is primarily illuminated by this. I say this bioluminescent like V shaped stream.
There's a. There's chunks of stonework floating in its waters. This bridge is floating in its surface and it itself is about 5 foot below the walkway, like the pla. Whatever flooring you're stood on. But you can just about make out that the sergeant is stood on the water's edge.
[03:58:19] Speaker D: Am I close enough to smack her?
[03:58:21] Speaker A: You will be now.
[03:58:23] Speaker D: Yes.
Oh no, I'm on top of her. Sorry, it's a bit close.
[03:58:39] Speaker A: Say again?
[03:58:41] Speaker D: Do I get disadvantage because it's dark or can I.
[03:58:43] Speaker E: No, no.
[03:58:44] Speaker A: She's illuminated by the river.
Okay. So she parries. She parries your attack and immediately reposts.
Seventeen to hit.
[03:59:05] Speaker D: Yep.
[03:59:08] Speaker A: So yeah. She catches your axe with her sword, fires into your gut with her pistol for 13 damage.
I forgot to do this earlier, but for her successful attack, I gain a fear and I'll spend a fear. And she.
She shoots you. And then as you kind of step like take a few steps back, she then slashes at you with the blood.
[03:59:38] Speaker D: Yep, that way.
[03:59:40] Speaker A: Okay, so a. As she slashes for you, it slashes you across the chest. You take 27 damage.
[03:59:50] Speaker D: 27 do one armor.
[03:59:59] Speaker A: The rest of you, do you want to just sort like file in as quickly as possible? The law.
[04:00:04] Speaker C: Yeah.
[04:00:05] Speaker A: Okay. You can move close for free or let me know if you want to go. Try and get all the Way up to Abe in one go. And then we'll take the agility check.
[04:00:17] Speaker C: I'll take an agility check. Let's go.
[04:00:22] Speaker A: Okay, so Cooper goes first and then Griffin. So, Griffin, you've done it. But before we go. So I'll move Cooper as far as Cooper goes.
So Cooper, like. As Cooper as everyone rushes in to sort of, like, back you up, Abe.
Yeah. This sergeant has just parried your axe shot. You slashed you across the chest. And then she takes another step back and fires again.
Oh, this might be a miss.
[04:01:01] Speaker E: Yay.
[04:01:01] Speaker A: She's finally missed.
Okay, then we have Griffin. Griffin, you managed to make it all the way up to abe with your 21.
It is a 21 with fear, however.
So as you come in, Griffin, this sergeant sees you running in and past Abe. A shot fires out. Seven to hit. A seven to hit. Griffin.
[04:01:34] Speaker C: No.
[04:01:35] Speaker A: Okay, the shot goes wide.
[04:01:40] Speaker B: Can fire at her, please.
[04:01:42] Speaker A: You can just about see again.
And she.
Yeah, if you kind of tuck in there. So you're in shadow.
[04:01:53] Speaker B: I'm in shadow. So advantage.
And I get sneak. But I'm gonna.
I'm not gonna use my hope dice right now. I'll use my valley instead if I need to add.
Can I use my valley dice, please?
[04:02:12] Speaker A: Yes, absolutely.
13 with hope is currently not hitting BA. Can you rally 8. 18. 18 with hope is a hit.
[04:02:25] Speaker D: Yes.
[04:02:25] Speaker B: Thank God.
[04:02:26] Speaker A: Okay. Gain your hope.
[04:02:28] Speaker B: Yep. Rolling damage. So roll and then 3D6 on stop.
[04:02:36] Speaker A: So 15 plus, plus.
[04:02:42] Speaker B: Bad roll.
[04:02:43] Speaker A: 15 plus 8, 23.
You firing with the rifle?
[04:02:50] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[04:02:51] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, there is. In which case, as there's bl. There's, like, shrieks from the pistol as she kind of fl. Like, she becomes this blur.
Abe, you notice that with the. The frequency, the regularity of her attack seems to be the tempo of her attack seems to be getting faster and faster until she's almost becoming this, like, silver blur in front of you in. In quite an unnatural way.
Griff. Griffin, you have to sort of, like, jump to the side as this bolt shoots over your right shoulder.
And Cooper, as you kind of dash in, you see this blue light illuminating, like, dash across the wall in front of you, which causes you to stop. But as you turn, aim your rifle. Talk me through what happens.
[04:03:42] Speaker B: Is she gone?
She's turning on. Okay. I feel like I fire at her, and she goes into the water.
So as. As she's like, the moisture is zapping out of her body, and she screams as she then plummets into the water behind her.
[04:04:00] Speaker A: Okay.
[04:04:01] Speaker B: Because he's being pushed back Right, Yeah. That's what the firearm does. Yeah.
[04:04:07] Speaker A: Okay. In which case, yeah, the blast strikes her as she sort of like, takes aim to fire another shot and it launches her up off the ground backwards.
And there is a, like, you watch as she, like, shrivels and shrinks until. And there's a splash and she lands in this bioluminescent stream.
And you're not entirely sure what state she's going to be when she emerges, but suffice to say she is no longer a threat.
And as the sound of your shrieking rifle, as the echo begins to dim and you're able to take a breath and sort of like take in your surroundings, you see a number of blue glows emanating from the other side of the stream.
And what appears to be an entrance, a doorway built in. A doorway made a light of a white marble tinged with jade built into a wall of the same material, fronted by a platform with stairwell staircases leading up to it of the same marble.
And as the. As the lights in this. In this area begin to illuminate at your presence and you notice that the marble on your armor and your weapons begins to glow in kind.
We'll call it there.
And we're gonna make this a super speedy one because we've run a little bit over.
