I have my wonderful players with me today. I have Livy.
Oh, I have Theo.
Hello. I have Georgia.
[00:03:17] Speaker C: Hello.
[00:03:18] Speaker A: I have Julia.
[00:03:20] Speaker B: Hello.
[00:03:21] Speaker A: And I have DM Dan.
[00:03:23] Speaker B: Hi.
[00:03:25] Speaker A: So without further ado, let's find out where you five are, shall we?
[00:03:45] Speaker B: Hello, I'm Julia and I play Lucretia, a lorevar wizard.
[00:03:51] Speaker D: Hi, my name is Theo and I'll
[00:03:53] Speaker A: be playing Pally, a wolf.
[00:03:55] Speaker D: Kim Seraph.
[00:03:57] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Georgia and I'll be playing Virgil, a sanguivar ranger.
[00:04:04] Speaker E: Hi, my name is DM Dan and I'm playing Myrdden, a Wolfkin guardian druid.
[00:04:11] Speaker F: Hi, I'm Livy and I'll be playing Beau, the dragonsent warrior.
[00:04:17] Speaker A: And my name is Nate and I'll be the GM for this adventure.
So the five of you have found yourselves back in your own bodies. There are no more hooves anymore. There's no more colorful fur. You're all back to your normal skin and scales.
And you have found yourself what appeared to first off to be just a blank white void. Just a blank white space. Which then as.
As you settled down to sort of like survey your surroundings, items and objects started popping up into existence. Books and trinkets and bookcases and dresses, little boxes, all sorts of just like bits and pieces from that are just cluttering the room which you now is believe is turning into a room.
There's. There's sort of magical lights and flower garlands and dream catchers and small little trinkets on chains that are hanging from the ceiling.
[00:05:54] Speaker F: And gems and shoes.
[00:05:55] Speaker A: And gems and shoes.
And from.
From the middle of this room is this. Is this large bed.
And approaching you from this bed, she. She Walked over to you, quite. Not frailly, but it's obvious that it takes a lot more out of her to sort of get out of bed and walk up to you.
Is a woman somewhat.
Maybe in her 40s, you would think.
And she. And she. And she kind of greets you all with like a small courteous bow.
And she says, I.
I do apologize for what you have had to go through.
My name is Lady Rejoice Soleimani. I am sure you have lots of questions.
[00:07:06] Speaker B: Rather,
[00:07:09] Speaker D: she.
[00:07:10] Speaker A: She smiles and she goes, I.
Forgive me. I do. I think it's going to be hard for me to think where to start.
Probably the main question, the biggest elephant in the room, you would say, yes, I. I am.
Rejoice. I am. And she sort of goes in verticals, The. The princess, if you would say, though the princess who you have met is somewhat me and not me.
She is a vision, a representation of myself as a child that my mother keeps alive, you see.
[00:07:59] Speaker B: Hold. Hold on.
So.
And actually, at this point, Lucretia just dives into one of her books and starts frantically leafing through.
[00:08:11] Speaker C: She's been making game notes.
[00:08:13] Speaker B: Yeah, but. Yeah, so she seems busy with. With this. And she's muttering to herself while she.
While she does it,
[00:08:26] Speaker A: You see, While.
While I. I guess I should start from the beginning.
While I was growing up, I was born into war.
The War of dragons has started by the time I was just an infant.
And my mother, all she ever wanted was to give me a childhood where I could be free, where I could live like other children had.
But obviously, when you are born into a high house such as myself, it can make it difficult to.
To live a normal childhood, you would say.
And not only that I was very ill a lot of the time.
My mother knew this, and my mother tried to do everything she could to make sure that my life was as normal, if not joyous.
But it was hard. It was hard for her.
And when the Eschaton happened, as I know that you five now call it the Eschaton, we.
We ran.
She left the city that she had devoted her life to with me.
We found.
We found Cassoula, who is the what? The. The beast that you know of which you. Which you five refer to as a world spirit.
She too was also injured from.
From the war, from the. The Eschaton.
My mother made a pact with her that if Casula kept me safe, then my mother would keep her safe.
I do not know the. The full ins and outs of it, but I now reside in Casula.
Casula has been my home for the past 30 years.
And I have just stayed here, watching, waiting, Waiting for my.
For my mother to see sense.
You see, I think you. You already know, after you speaking to your sister Lucretia, that my mother manipulates this world. It is true.
The princess she creates, she creates it from, as any mind of a small child can, what she has in her imagination. But my mother then uses that to her advantage.
The.
The shadow creatures that you see, they are but nightmares.
Nightmares of the atrocities that I saw as a child.
And my mother uses them to collect the magic that she needs to power this world.
You see, she is.
She has been fully aware for a long time that Elsewhere is out there.
But she keeps us all prisoner.
You would say
[00:12:36] Speaker B: Lucretia's looked up from her book by this time and has been listening with rapt attention and says, but to what end if she knows that you're no longer a child? So why all of this? Why make the world so delightful for children? Why maintain a representation of you as a child at all?
[00:13:02] Speaker A: I think my.
Once upon a time. I think my mother was waiting for the perfect moment.
The perfect moment when she knew we were all safe and that she knew I was well and that I could then live my childhood. In a way, she seen this representation of me as an opportunity for me to live a childhood I was never able to gain.
I was.
I. I find it all incredibly silly.
Even though I was born into war, I was not a child of poverty. I was a child of great privilege.
And as much as I would love to like to continue to actually be myself, unfortunately, I think the years that my mother has run this world have driven her quite mad.
[00:14:08] Speaker C: I suppose sometimes it's easier to live in a fantasy than it is to accept the real world.
[00:14:19] Speaker A: I.
But I knew it was only too soon that the.
That the.
The magic that she needed, the manner that she needed to power this would run low.
She can only keep up the facade for so long with the people who already live here in Sanctuary.
And there's not as many children as there used to be.
And those children take after their own parents. They don't have the manor we don't have. The Divinity of the Dragons and Arcane is not widely practiced here.
And without that magic, she cannot power this world. And.
And I knew it would be sooner or later she would open up some sort of crack and start going out into Elsewhere to collect what she needed to keep us running.
And now that I see it is happening, in a way, it is good. Because it has brought you five here.
I must ask you an incredibly, incredibly important request.
I must.
I must ask you to speak with my mother and to ask her that she stop now.
[00:15:52] Speaker F: Well.
[00:15:52] Speaker A: I know that.
[00:15:53] Speaker F: How do we get hold of
[00:15:57] Speaker A: this? I can give you some help with.
You may be able to find her if you go. And if you're able to get the princess.
I think get past her court.
I think this will bring her out of hiding.
[00:16:20] Speaker F: So kidnap the princess.
[00:16:24] Speaker A: I think that.
[00:16:25] Speaker F: But she's a construct. Right? We're not.
[00:16:27] Speaker D: There's no prince.
[00:16:29] Speaker B: Do you know how your mother's doing it? Because that's quite important.
This isn't a real child glamoured to look like you. This isn't.
It is getting a bit dicey ethically right now.
[00:16:42] Speaker D: It is.
[00:16:43] Speaker A: It is me and not me.
[00:16:48] Speaker B: I don't like that answer. Rejoice. I don't like that at all.
[00:16:51] Speaker F: Yeah. You said that. But we need to know what exactly it is.
[00:16:55] Speaker B: Do you have any idea what school of magic your mother was powerful in? How is she doing this? Where is your mother? Is she some sort of. See, I have lots of theories. And she picks up the book.
You see. She could be a spirit. She could be an entity. She could be a world. New World spirit herself. What is. What is she?
[00:17:13] Speaker A: My mother. You would say is now.
She is sanctuary. She is an entity. She is. She has lost her physical form to physical being.
[00:17:22] Speaker C: Yes. Yes.
[00:17:23] Speaker A: To the world.
[00:17:24] Speaker B: I thought as much. Yes.
[00:17:26] Speaker A: But that is only because she chooses to be that way.
You could possibly coax her into a corporeal form.
[00:17:35] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:17:36] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:17:36] Speaker B: Exactly.
[00:17:37] Speaker F: You can't fight a country that isn't a child.
[00:17:40] Speaker B: Yes. Exactly.
[00:17:44] Speaker F: Why can't you do this?
[00:17:46] Speaker A: I can't.
[00:17:47] Speaker F: But it's coming from you.
Why can't we leave?
[00:17:51] Speaker A: Kasulu is.
[00:17:52] Speaker B: Slow down.
[00:17:55] Speaker A: Kasula is bound to my mother for her own protection. To protect me.
But the five of you will be able to leave freely of your own accord.
Right?
[00:18:07] Speaker F: Right.
[00:18:09] Speaker B: What if we spoke to Casula? What if Myrdden spoke to Casula oh so persuasively.
[00:18:18] Speaker E: Whilst I am normally quite persuasive in the way that I approach delicate diplomatic matters.
We've already tried that.
[00:18:29] Speaker B: Did we? Though I. I don't know that we've given the old negotiation tactic a proper go with Casula.
[00:18:39] Speaker F: She might turn us into ponies again.
[00:18:41] Speaker B: I don't think. What? Was it Casula who did that?
My dear.
[00:18:47] Speaker D: Rejoice.
[00:18:47] Speaker A: Laughs and she said no. That was my mother.
[00:18:52] Speaker B: You see. It was. Mama dear. Mama dearest.
[00:18:54] Speaker A: Now, I think I do quite like horses.
[00:18:59] Speaker F: Me too. I think they're pretty cool.
[00:19:04] Speaker B: So I. I think it's worth a try. But assuming we cannot get anywhere with that. Yes, of course we will find Mama.
[00:19:13] Speaker D: I have a question, actually.
You said that the shadows are nightmares.
Like your nightmares or your mother's nightmares.
How do they work?
Can you give advice on how we can get rid of them completely? Or is it literally just your mother holds the reins on them?
[00:19:37] Speaker A: The, the shadows are technically my nightmares. They are technically the princess's nightmares.
With us being in a way one and the same.
My mother controls them. Now that they are into being, she can technically use them as much as she wants.
So unfortunately there is no way of completely destroying them until she decides.
[00:20:12] Speaker D: And one more question, because I think I kind of need to know.
So Paddy thinks back to his test.
He was told that Axe Daddy is not his Axe Daddy. For context, did you ever meet when you were young, did you ever see anyone dressed like me? Is that why there's a nightmare that looked a little bit like my father once?
[00:20:42] Speaker A: She, she looks at you and she, she approaches you pally and she holds out her. She holds out her hands towards your temples and she, and she kind of says May I? It will hopefully answer your questions.
[00:21:04] Speaker D: Yes, of course.
[00:21:08] Speaker A: She. She gently places her hands on your temples.
You don't feel much besides from just like a small warming.
And all of you can see that this room changes and it changes into a.
It changes into a courtroom. It changes into like a large sort of almost throne room in a way.
And you see, and you see sort of like in this large high backed chair another woman who looks sort of similar to Rejoice as in older Rejoice, but she is much more regal. She's much more sort of like large, large sort of billowing like afro hair.
She's wearing gold chains that sort of like have all over her a long ornate dress, sort of like gold rings that sort of like clap around her fingers and then sort of like hold sort of delicate gold chains all the way up her arms.
The, the five of you are sort of standing there looking at her, but you can tell that obviously your, your sort of like presence here is not noticed.
And, and Rejoice sort of takes her hands.
She takes her hands off your thought, off your temples Pally, Your father.
And as another sort of image that just sort of like appears out of nowhere but is standing at the foot of this, of this throne is a, is a tall sort of like gray haired wolfkin man who is wearing the same regalia as Pali is. And he's. And it looks like he's sort of like regaling sort of information quite sort of like professionally and quite basically sort of bestowing information to this. This lot. This sort of like very regal lady in this throne.
You can't hear anything that's being said. You can only just see that there's obviously some sort of conversation.
Your.
Your father and his army, they came to protect us at one point.
They knew that we were.
That we were in.
In danger of surrounding traitor armies.
And I remember him being a kind man.
I remember him though.
Though at first I was frightened of his presence, of his very stern look, of his large build.
But I remember that he kneeled down to me and he smiled a warm smile just like yours.
But that this was not the last time I saw him.
And the vision sort of changes all around you to what looks like an attack.
Like. It looks like the city is now under siege by a different army. You can probably tell by the.
By what you're obviously your father is wearing. The regalia of.
Is it Renengar?
Your one.
Your one. Your dragon.
[00:25:26] Speaker D: Your dragon.
[00:25:27] Speaker F: Your one.
[00:25:28] Speaker A: You can tell that there is like a number of soldiers in the regalia of Renenga. In the regalia of Palagara, the. The glimmer which is one of the betrayer dragon armies.
[00:25:48] Speaker C: You.
[00:25:50] Speaker A: You almost then sort of see like a sort of a small image, a small shadow of rejoice as a child which you know as the princess. You sort of see her looking up and then it's almost like you are seeing through her eyes.
And the way that your father looks is frightening.
The only way that his sworn enemies would have seen him like ax risen blood covered teeth gnashing, Just enveloped in the fight.
While I knew that your father was kind, unfortunately this was my last memory of him.
And it. I will say that it did leave it's.
It's. It's remnants on me.
And unfortunately when younger.
When my.
When my younger self would get scared, I would remember these images.
And I do believe that these are the images that cause the shadows.
So while your father may be the maybe the inspiration for these shadows, I will confirm that these shadows are not your father.
[00:27:25] Speaker D: Thank you.
It is nice to see you.
[00:27:34] Speaker A: I can.
She.
She sort of softens the.
The area.
She takes it back to a time where she takes the back to the city of Solomani. She takes the city back to a.
To normal cobbled streets, no fires, no armies invading, no blood covered grounds.
It's empty, but it's calm.
Palia, when was the last time you saw your father?
[00:28:29] Speaker D: It's an interesting question, I think.
And even though he knows.
He knows in detail, I think it's still uncomfortable for him to talk about. So he tries to play it down into something. He was probably. That's naturally.
He was visiting home on the way past, which was quite nice, I think. I was probably about the same age as the princess was, actually.
Even when I started fighting at the.
I didn't really get to see him. So here's my last proper memory.
He was kind and tired.
Seems to make everybody tired.
[00:29:32] Speaker A: Was he never around to refer to you as his son?
[00:29:43] Speaker D: Not really, no.
[00:29:48] Speaker A: Such a shame.
Palia, now that you have seen your father again, what do you wish?
Do you wish that you become him or that you become your own man?
[00:30:14] Speaker D: I didn't really know him. It would be fair to. Not to become someone I didn't know.
I'd like to be myself.
I'm trying very hard to do that.
I have for a long time.
[00:30:28] Speaker A: She.
She nods.
She goes, okay, I feel like I have a.
A clearer idea of you now.
And let's have a look.
And she. She places. She places her hand now on your chest and you feel something warming, Sort of like feel yourself usually where you feel that divinity that you get from renenga.
As she imbued you with a gift.
[00:31:22] Speaker B: Whoa.
[00:31:23] Speaker E: Holy moly.
[00:31:27] Speaker D: What gift?
Sorry. Took minutes to show.
[00:31:38] Speaker E: She.
[00:31:38] Speaker A: She looks at the other four of you and she says, I can.
I too can bestow gifts, but I need to know more about you to understand what might be right.
She.
She turned. She kind of turns. She's kind of looking at the ground, and you can't really tell who she's. She's kind of speaking to until she looks up at virgil and she goes.
And she kind of lifts her hands and she go, may I?
[00:32:17] Speaker C: I think virgil has sort of been looking if the. Like, the image has faded of paliar senior. He's sort of been looking at the space of the wall where he was.
He's. He never saw that version of him. And I think as she steps towards him, he does step back slightly and then he Elysia a touch.
[00:32:46] Speaker A: She. Before she kind of puts her hands on your head, she said. She kind of says, like, I'm sorry if that was painful.
And before you can reply, she puts her hands on the side of your head and the world sort of whirls again and you are back in the monastery in the garden. Monastery in the garden of the monastery. That you grew up in and that you worked in for a while for your life.
Virgil, youth, you've gone through a lot of hardship.
You.
You've gone through a lot of people leaving your life.
Is that true?
[00:33:38] Speaker C: I've never considered it like that.
I've never wanted to.
[00:33:50] Speaker A: She kind of. She kind of whirls up some more of the. Of the people who lived in the monastery. The other monks that you would have known fairly well as they.
As they walk through, you're filled with that joy that you used to get when people were, especially the other monks were particularly thankful for the work that you did in the garden.
Are you.
Are you sure?
Are you sure you've never felt that way?
[00:34:29] Speaker C: I think there is a slight glimpse, just a flicker towards Pali and then just slightly to Lucretia.
And then as I said before, sometimes it's better to live in dreams than to accept reality.
[00:34:54] Speaker A: She looks at you concerned, but surely, surely when you live in reality, that is when you can make dreams come true.
And she, she. She.
She brings up this.
[00:35:22] Speaker B: So that was masterful, Nate. Sorry. Thank you.
[00:35:29] Speaker A: She. She brings up a.
A vision of another person walking closer to you. And this time you definitely know who it is.
Not dressed in the same regalia as pally, but dressed in. What would. What would have pally senior been dressed in?
And don't say a loin cloth.
[00:35:57] Speaker C: That implies Virgil would also have been dressed in a loin cloth.
[00:36:01] Speaker B: And I don't think anyone used to see that.
[00:36:06] Speaker C: I think he would have been dressed. And I think monks, I believe of vessel of Gordon dress very similar to monks of our world. I think they wear the habit. Is it called a habit?
And the. Like the simple. And brown is the color of the dragon.
So it's sort of a very simple brown robe and like a rope tie and sandals, which Virgil still wears a version of that he's fashioned himself.
But yeah, he would have been dressed in the robes of the monastery.
[00:36:41] Speaker A: How do you feel about seeing this version of Palia Sr. Again?
[00:36:49] Speaker C: I think he. He looks at him wistfully for a moment and then he glances through him to Paliar Jr.
He says, I.
I think he would have been proud of you.
And I was always proud to know what he might have become in the outside world even if I couldn't join him.
[00:37:19] Speaker D: Wait, you. You do?
Because there's no doubt that padu knows who this is. Like even a younger version of his dad is using two recognized and he kind of just like admires this. This younger version of a man. He didn't really know, but. Or in a way, it kind of. It's after. Like having already talked about how he wants to be his own man, it's nice to see a younger version of him because they are separate people. It's hard to imagine. Like, it's hard for most people to imagine their parents younger, but to see it there, it's just like, yeah, we're not the same. We're definitely not the same person.
And he just gives you quite a big grin. It doesn't know. I can't. You can't explain why it gives him relief, but it does.
It's like.
I think Bo even knew my dad.
Lucretia, did you know my dad? This is very strange.
Never mind. It's.
[00:38:23] Speaker A: It's fine.
[00:38:23] Speaker D: It's silly. It's so silly.
[00:38:25] Speaker A: But he's.
[00:38:25] Speaker D: It's like. It's nice. It's a nice relief chat. It's not like he's worried or embarrassed. It's more of a.
This man, he gets around, don't he?
[00:38:37] Speaker F: Well, you don't know the half of it. Palia.
[00:38:43] Speaker A: Palia Senior is in everyone else's.
Senior.
[00:38:50] Speaker E: Surprise, pally.
[00:38:57] Speaker C: We are all Palia Senior.
[00:38:59] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness.
[00:39:06] Speaker A: Upon hearing you say, he would have been proud of you, rejoice, sort of mutters. In she goes. And how about you, Virgil?
Do you think he would have been proud of you?
[00:39:25] Speaker C: I am a different person to the boy. I was there.
He's still. Still in here somewhere, I suppose. But I. I try to bring hope to everyone I find, even on my own companions, I. I strive to make him proud in all that I do. And, well, here I am.
[00:40:04] Speaker A: It feels like that with the much loss that you've had in your life.
You lost your love, you lost your monastery, you fear that you lose your faith, you lose your.
Your God through the curse that has come from the betrayers.
Now that it obviously looks like there are people here who do not want to leave you, who will stand by your side.
Tell me, will you continue to stand with the people you so wish to bring help to, or will you continue to hide in the forest?
[00:41:05] Speaker C: I have found my purpose here, I think.
And people who need me.
What was that? Ever in doubt.
[00:41:18] Speaker E: She.
[00:41:19] Speaker A: She smiles warmly at this.
At this response.
And she puts her hand upon your chest and you can feel that warmth that you get when you know that Gigolden.
[00:41:37] Speaker B: A gift
[00:41:41] Speaker A: when Gigoldin is really speaking to you and she's. And she says, I hope.
I hope that this will be powered by that hope that you have.
Still, after so much loss.
[00:42:03] Speaker C: He nods in gratitude.
[00:42:08] Speaker A: She.
She turns to Beau.
[00:42:17] Speaker F: I don't know if anyone wants to see him inside my head.
[00:42:22] Speaker A: She smiles again. And she's. And she kind of. She kneels down to your height.
But then she goes, but may I?
Well,
[00:42:36] Speaker F: what. What you look at?
[00:42:37] Speaker B: Well,
[00:42:43] Speaker F: Why are you gonna.
You're gonna.
[00:42:46] Speaker A: Is there.
[00:42:47] Speaker F: Where you.
[00:42:49] Speaker B: There's a word in there somewhere. I'm sure of it.
[00:42:52] Speaker F: I just don't want, you know, anything that hold up in a card of law. I just don't.
[00:42:59] Speaker B: Imagine if this had just been an elaborate sting operation.
[00:43:05] Speaker D: Oh, you killed that guy. That guy.
[00:43:06] Speaker B: That guy. Okay, there he is.
[00:43:08] Speaker D: We got him.
[00:43:09] Speaker F: Bars.
[00:43:14] Speaker A: If there's something you do not wish your fellow companions to know about, I can.
I will not show them.
[00:43:23] Speaker C: Just like redacted bars,
[00:43:29] Speaker B: all faces blurred.
[00:43:33] Speaker A: But only when you're. But only when you're truly open.
Does that mean I can bestow this gift upon you, do I?
[00:43:43] Speaker B: Gift? It's a super cut of all his best kills.
[00:43:51] Speaker C: I forgot of headshots.
[00:43:59] Speaker F: Just kind of looks everyone just like eye contact with everyone for a couple of seconds and then he's just like, fine, you can show him.
[00:44:16] Speaker A: She. She smiles and she places her hands on your temples.
And you feel that warmth sort of like rush through into your brain as the whole world swishes around again.
And you are back on your ranch
[00:44:34] Speaker E: with your father back in Ponyland.
[00:44:39] Speaker A: And you are now a princess.
And you are. You're back on the ranch.
[00:44:51] Speaker E: The.
[00:44:51] Speaker A: The different sort of like creatures that you used to herd are sort of grazing in the meadows around sort of like dusty paths that sort of go up to sort of like a rickety old farmhouse that you and your father used to live in, that you grew up in with your father.
Family means a lot to you, doesn't it?
[00:45:21] Speaker F: Yeah. Family's the only thing you got other than your gun.
[00:45:28] Speaker A: Your father gave you that gun, didn't he?
[00:45:31] Speaker F: Well, yeah. So I guess the only thing you do got is your family.
[00:45:38] Speaker A: Tell me, Bo, does your father know what you do?
[00:45:47] Speaker D: Well,
[00:45:50] Speaker F: not especially.
[00:45:53] Speaker A: How do you feel he would react if he knew how you made the money to revive his ranch?
[00:46:07] Speaker F: Well, what he don't know, don't hurt him.
And that ranch is everything to him.
[00:46:16] Speaker A: I see.
And with that sort of like a wisp towards one of the fences, you see all the four of you see this sort of small elderly goblin, brown sunspots sort of speckle his face obviously looks like a kind of guy who has worked the fields his whole Life.
He has sort of like the only way that a goblin really can have. Sort of just like that. That sort of workers tan.
But he's leaning against this fence and you can see this sort of like 20 yard stare like he. This is a man where something in him has broke.
And rejoice sort of looks at the figure of the fence and then comes back to you Bow.
And she says I am.
I am in no way questioning your ways of retrieving your. Your funds to revive your father's ranch.
At the end of the day we all have to make ends meet.
And we all have our talents to do that.
But you have proved of your time in sanctuary that maybe your current talents could be changed. Maybe for the better.
Tell me Beau, would you. Would you consider putting that past behind you?
[00:48:17] Speaker F: Well, yeah. It's just a temporary means for temporary funds.
Once I've got all the money, I won't need to do that no more.
[00:48:29] Speaker A: What about if you didn't have the money?
[00:48:33] Speaker F: Well then what was it all for?
[00:48:39] Speaker A: She. She leans back and she goes okay.
She rests her hand on your chest.
And how. I mean I'll ask you, Livy, how do you think it feels for you? What kind of feeling do you feel like you're getting in your chest?
I think he's.
[00:49:15] Speaker F: He kind of saw.
Like everyone else's faces. They. They got theirs. Which is a kind of sort of warm, soft feeling. I think he feels his is. He's expecting it to be warm, but it's. It's not really. It's more kind of a bit sort of cold.
[00:49:37] Speaker A: Okay, I'll send this to everyone else in the chat.
[00:50:01] Speaker B: She says,
[00:50:04] Speaker A: it feels like to me your life has been a lot of survival and I hope this helps.
[00:50:15] Speaker D: Well, thank you.
[00:50:18] Speaker F: I said I'll. I'll give it up any day. I just. Just that one last job.
[00:50:26] Speaker A: I kind of get the feeling that it's always been one last job.
And with her saying one last job she.
She shows. She kind of like your father disappears and the ranch disappears and you're back in the traitor's camp.
But there's no one else there besides from Avala who is sitting there by the fire.
No.
[00:50:59] Speaker F: You can cut the track now.
[00:51:01] Speaker A: You can cut a video.
How do. Is there anything that the four of you think from seeing this?
[00:51:21] Speaker B: There's our good friend of valor.
Why are we seeing you with a valor in the camp though?
[00:51:28] Speaker F: I couldn't say. What a. What a bizarre coincidence.
[00:51:32] Speaker C: It's like a sniper shot should appears.
[00:51:45] Speaker A: Kind of keeping within the Camp.
Lucretia. You can't help but notice, then hear some shuffle of some footsteps behind you as your sister comes into view and rejoice, looks at you.
And she says, I have always been an only child.
It must be wonderful to have family, to have siblings.
[00:52:21] Speaker B: I've heard mixed reviews of it, but for me, yes, it was rather wonderful.
[00:52:29] Speaker A: She. She raises her hands to you and she says, may I?
[00:52:34] Speaker B: Of course.
[00:52:37] Speaker A: She puts her hands on your temples and the world sort of like, whisks around the five of you again.
And you are in a very, very. Sort of like. Not.
It's. It's. It's. It's rather grand, but it's not like, ornate or anything. It's sort of like a rather grand, ish, sort of home library.
And you notice that your. Your mother is there.
And she is sitting on this. This lovely sort of plush couch in this library.
And she was like, Lucretia.
[00:53:23] Speaker B: How.
[00:53:26] Speaker A: How did your mother take it when your sister went missing?
[00:53:34] Speaker B: Well, not well, but. Then what mother would.
[00:53:41] Speaker A: Do you feel.
Do you feel she blamed you?
[00:53:51] Speaker B: Well, if she did, I can understand.
Not that I was there, of course, but Valyria was always her favorite.
[00:54:07] Speaker A: Why would you say that?
[00:54:11] Speaker B: Well, she was the one who got out there and wanted to see the world. She.
She was Mummy's little achiever.
As I was just at home reading books and learning.
Valeria applied the learning.
She made the world a better, safer place.
Mother was terribly proud.
[00:54:43] Speaker A: That must have been hard.
[00:54:46] Speaker B: No.
No, not in the slightest.
I was so proud of Valyria, too.
And Mother may not have always been on my side, but she wasn't a bad parent.
I couldn't hardly blame her for how much she admired Valyria.
Valyria's extraordinary.
[00:55:10] Speaker A: I feel.
Tell me, do you feel this way because this was the way that you were brought up, that Valyria was always the.
The better achiever of life than you?
Or is there another reason why you think so highly of your sister?
[00:55:46] Speaker B: I suppose I.
There was a part of me that always wished I was as brave and intrepid as her, but that's just never been me.
And I think I've made peace with that.
I think I've come to value myself and my temperament and what I bring to the world.
It may not be as showy and as obvious as what Valeria achieves, but.
No, I.
I'm proud of myself, too.
Now,
[00:56:30] Speaker A: I believe that with you being here, now that you're very intrepid.
Would you not agree?
[00:56:41] Speaker B: Well, needs must and all that, you know. Yeah, I suppose. So.
Saw a world spirit before her.
So. Yes. Yes, I suppose so.
[00:56:53] Speaker A: I.
I find it wonderful that you have such.
Such esteem in your own.
In your own self, in your own powers.
[00:57:11] Speaker B: Thank you.
[00:57:12] Speaker A: In your own successes.
And she presses her hand against your chest.
I feel someone as great as you.
[00:57:37] Speaker D: Oh.
[00:57:38] Speaker A: Feels they probably need a very interesting spell.
[00:57:46] Speaker B: Well, goodness me.
Thank you, my lady.
[00:57:54] Speaker A: As she sort of bows to acknowledge the thank you.
She then turns and she looks at you. Maiden, I apologize.
I did leave you to last, for you have two minds.
And that will take me a little bit more work to get to both.
And she.
She lifts her hands up to your temples before touching them.
[00:58:31] Speaker E: I put my hand up.
I.
I'm not entirely sure I want to know.
[00:58:47] Speaker A: She puts her hands down and she says, what are you scared of?
I'm.
[00:59:03] Speaker E: I'm worried I will not like what I see.
If.
If it is as bad as I think it.
I worry I don't. I won't have the strength to accept it.
[00:59:34] Speaker A: Well, instead of speaking to you, why don't we speak into the spirit who resides in you.
[00:59:52] Speaker E: Takes a min. Takes a deep breath and closes his eyes and sort of like tilts his head forward slightly.
[01:00:01] Speaker A: Rejoice. Lifts her hands up to your temples.
And you feel that warm feeling that everyone else has felt.
And then you feel like a jolt in your chest as then the world sort of spins around.
And instead of actually showing sort of any.
Any sort of space that you know that any of you know, you're in like a dense woods and materializing in of front, front of you is the image of this large bear.
And rejoice.
Instead of like in the last visions where she didn't acknowledge any of the other sort of figures that were standing there, she actually takes her hands away from Maiden's temples and looks up at the large bear.
And she bows politely.
She goes. Artiosa, you have lived within this mortal's body for a while now.
Tell me, why do you hide things from him.
And the five of you can't hear anything? This bear is sort of like looking down very sternly at rejoice.
And the. You can only. You can't hear anything, but you can feel this sort of vibration, this sort of low growling, this sort of low grumbling as. As something is being said between.
Between something. Between this whole environment that you're in.
Rejoice nods and she looks at the five of you. And then she looks to Maiden.
It is seems that she was protecting you.
Tell me, was any deals made between the two of you before she resided in your very soul.
[01:02:52] Speaker E: Sometimes I have dreams.
Of when we first spoke.
And I asked her to help me forget.
To help me never fail. Never again.
[01:03:18] Speaker A: And why do you fear so much of failing? Because only through failure can we learn.
[01:03:32] Speaker E: Through my failure, I lost everything that I hold dear.
And I have. I have this rage that whirls within my chest.
And I needed help to forget it.
[01:04:02] Speaker A: Tell me, maiden, now, that it has been sometime since you made this deal with Artiosa, that you are now around people who you feel you can trust. And she sort of, kind of questions that.
Who have seen your fury and have yet not stepped away from you.
Would you be willing to relive those failures so you may learn?
Or would you like to eternally forget in the fear of letting it all happen again?
[01:04:59] Speaker E: Mirden opens his eyes and looks at Rejoice like dead on.
And there's a bit of a.
A blankness in his stare.
[01:05:22] Speaker A: You.
[01:05:26] Speaker E: If she was able to grow up, my daughter would look like you.
You know
[01:05:37] Speaker A: she.
[01:05:37] Speaker E: And I can't forget that.
[01:05:42] Speaker A: She nods.
She goes. I know.
And I am so sorry for your loss and for what you have been through.
But unfortunately, not all memories can be good ones.
So the question still stands.
[01:06:20] Speaker E: Show me.
[01:06:24] Speaker A: She looks back at Artyosa. And while Artyosa looks a little bit reluctant to do this, the. The bear closes its eyes and then disappears.
Rejoice. Rejoice. Takes her hands again. And she rests them on your temples again. Murden.
And the world shifts again into this.
Into this carnage of a battlefield almost fairly similar to the one which all of you saw, which paliarcenior was in.
And you see yourself fighting.
You see yourself absolutely going hog wild. The rage is already within you during that period of time.
Do you remember fighting in the war?
[01:07:33] Speaker E: I know I did not.
But.
But my sleep, my dreams are plagued with memories of it.
[01:07:44] Speaker A: To protect your family. To protect your way of life.
You did take up your sword to join the armies, to help them in their battles against the betrayers.
I can understand why you wanted to forget all this.
Because even with your sacrifice, leaving your wife, not seeing your daughter grow up, it was all for nothing.
Because the Eschaton took them.
[01:08:34] Speaker E: I.
I remember thinking it must have been punishment for the terrible things that I did during that war.
[01:08:55] Speaker A: I believe lots of people feel that.
Myrden do take comfort in knowing that you are not the only one who believes that.
And.
I cannot stop you from feeling like it was punishment.
But as I've said before, when you remember, and despite feeling like you failed.
You can always make amends however you feel like it. That is the best way to go.
Now I will offer you something.
Now that you have seen these memories, now that your companions have seen these memories, would you ultimately like to forget them?
But I will say forgetting them will forget your sacrifice and the reason why you sacrificed so much.
If you believe that will bring some comfort to your life, I can help with that.
Or do you wish to continue to remember and at least remember their memories because there were still good ones despite the bad?
[01:10:47] Speaker E: These memories, Even if I care not for them, they are a truth.
And they are.
They are me.
I will keep them.
[01:11:15] Speaker A: She nods.
And she.
She lays a hand on your chest much like she did with everyone else.
She said, I'm glad.
Thank you everyone for.
For letting me know all of you a little bit more. I hope these.
I hope these gifts I've been able to give to you will help.
[01:12:02] Speaker B: Sorry. Just seen Dan, the ultimate troll, mate.
[01:12:12] Speaker D: Ah, yes.
[01:12:12] Speaker B: 6.
[01:12:13] Speaker A: Really?
[01:12:14] Speaker E: Ability that requires me to not be bombed.
[01:12:21] Speaker B: When has Myrdden ever not been bombed?
[01:12:25] Speaker C: He must find his inner chill.
[01:12:29] Speaker B: This is the apotheosis of his character development.
[01:12:41] Speaker C: You can do it.
[01:12:42] Speaker B: Murder.
[01:12:42] Speaker C: And we believe in you.
[01:12:45] Speaker D: So much use out of this.
[01:12:53] Speaker A: As I can't join you in the fight. This is as much as I can do for the five of you.
And maybe, maybe something else. And she, she.
She kind of.
She kind of swills her hands around and the world sort of goes back to that bedroom that you originally first were in.
And she sort of potters around and she kind of digs through some bits and pieces and she finds like just like a glass orb and she, she. She sort of looks at it and nods and then she holds onto it really tightly and sort of closes her eyes. And you can see her sort of muttering some words under her breath. And as she's muttering it, this orb sort of grows sort of brighter and brighter and she goes.
May not be much, but hopefully it will come in handy. There's only one charge in it. I. I'm afraid.
And she. And she gives it to. She gives it to Palia.
She said, hopefully this will.
This will bring you hope when times are particularly hard.
So with this orb, anyone can use it. But it's only got one charge in it.
If you fail an action with fear, you can use this orb to either completely fill up your hope or reduce all of your stress.
[01:14:41] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:14:42] Speaker A: But it can only be used once on one person.
[01:14:53] Speaker B: Nice.
[01:14:54] Speaker A: Do.
Do feel free to.
To. To stay here as long as you need to. She. You can see that she sort of suddenly. You can see that she's actually looking much weaker now.
And she. She sort of like hobbles a little bit back to the bed and she sort of climbs back into the bed and sort of like lays herself up.
She says, do feel free to stay here to rest if you need.
But time is of the essence.
I will take you back to sanctuary and from there you will need to find the princess.
And I'm sure from there my mother will make her appearance now.
So from that I will let you have a short rest.
[01:15:52] Speaker F: Yay.
[01:15:54] Speaker C: Then we're gonna go kidnap a child now.
[01:15:57] Speaker A: You're gonna kidnap.
[01:16:02] Speaker D: Yes.
[01:16:04] Speaker A: If you liked that episode, why not give us a little like.
