Episode Transcript
[00:00:00] Speaker A: Hello, everyone, and welcome to Daniel. Welcome to Explorers of Elsewhere. Tales from Elsewhere Sanctuary.
Welcome, welcome. It's lovely to see you on this wonderful evening. My name is Nathan or Nate, either. Or doesn't really matter. And I am your GM for this evening. And with me today are our lovely, wonderful Explorers, our wonderful players.
I'm gonna see if I can remember how they actually look in the. In the setup because it looks a bit different here on camera.
Going to go. Hello, Livy.
[00:00:34] Speaker B: Hello.
[00:00:35] Speaker A: Hello, Theo.
[00:00:37] Speaker C: Hello.
[00:00:38] Speaker A: Hello, Georgia.
[00:00:39] Speaker D: Hello.
[00:00:40] Speaker A: Hello, Dan.
[00:00:41] Speaker E: Hi.
[00:00:42] Speaker A: Hello, Julia.
[00:00:43] Speaker B: Hello.
[00:00:44] Speaker A: And I think that is the right order from left to right, but yes. Hello. We are the Explorers of Elsewhere. And you are watching our Dagger Heart campaign.
We are on episode 10. 10.
We are on episode 10. And we release these every Thursday at 7:30.
And if you watch this episode and you want to know what happens next, just so you know, if you join as a member or you join our Patreon, the next episode. So episode 11 will be available right now.
Yeah, it only costs a couple of quid. It really helps with the channel. But also if you don't have that money, we understand. Or you just want to go back and watch our other stuff, then that's all there for free. And episode 11 will be released at the same time next week.
We play lots of other stuff as well. So we play. We're currently playing Cult of the Lamb at the moment, Call of Cthulhu. Would that be round about this time, Dan?
[00:01:41] Speaker F: We will be wrapping up Call of Cthulhu at some point.
[00:01:46] Speaker A: Something random on this now, if we've already. So yes, we're playing Call of Cthulhu in the Cult of the Lamb setting. It's a lot of good fun.
It's very silly from the last episode we just did Deadly Serious. It's deadly Serious.
But we highly recommend you watch that. And that is live on the channel and on our Twitch channel with the same name every Monday at 7:30.
And once that finishes, like, keep those Mondays free because we'll also have something new coming up very, very soon. A new. A new system that's all in the Elsewhere campaign.
If the else well back into the Elsewhere campaign. Obviously we have an affiliate link with Drive through rpg. So if you're enjoying Dagger Heart and you want to play it yourself, you can find the link below. It doesn't cost you anything extra, but it will give us a little bit of a kickback and that's always helpful, especially with their new Hope and Fear expansion coming out in the summer. So we highly recommend looking into that and maybe, maybe we might take a look into that as well when that comes out.
But if you want to talk about things, about Dagger Heart, about Call of Cthulhu, about D and D, about any other of the systems that we've played, we also have a discord which is free to everyone, and you are more than welcome to join. And of course, you can find that in the description below and further all, if you like and kind of dig our vibe, you can always subscribe to us. You can always like this video. You can always touch that bell to get notifications on when new episodes are released.
[00:03:21] Speaker E: Did you say touch that bell?
[00:03:24] Speaker A: Caress it.
[00:03:26] Speaker E: I love it.
[00:03:28] Speaker A: And if you're on your phone, give us a little hype. That always really helps us get into the algorithm a bit more.
With all of that said and done, let's go to the intro.
[00:03:55] Speaker E: Hello, I'm Julia, and I play Lucretia, a lorevar wizard.
[00:04:02] Speaker C: Hi, my name is Theo, and I'll be playing Pally, a wolf. Kim Seraph.
[00:04:08] Speaker D: Hi, I'm Georgia, and I'll be playing Virgil, a sanguivar ranger.
[00:04:14] Speaker F: Hi, my name is DM Dan, and I'm playing Myrdden, a Wolfkin guardian druid.
[00:04:21] Speaker B: Hi, I'm Livy, and I'll be playing Beau, the dragonsent warrior.
[00:04:27] Speaker A: And my name is Nate, and I'll be the GM for this adventure.
So where we left the five of you last episode, you had tackled these automatons that had come after you. They were only meant to protect the people of Sanctuary, but of course, you five aren't from Sanctuary, so they ended up attacking you. But you got through it pretty well.
The palace were particularly impressed with how you did it, and you were able to get a.
An audience with Lady Rondanisa, who is the.
Which is basically the speaker for the princess. She is her. Her vizier. Her. Her. A loyal advisor.
[00:05:41] Speaker E: The first friend ever picked in the
[00:05:43] Speaker A: friendship ceremony and the first friend ever picked in the friendship ceremony.
So you. You didn't find out any more about this sort of friendship ceremony. All you found out is pretty much that the princess never grows up.
She has been the same for the number of years that Sanctuary has been around, and to keep her company, they select a number of children to come and live in the palace and keep her company and make sure that she's still enjoying a childhood that just seems to be never ending.
And you did also get a very brief audience with the princess. You were able to find her sort of huddled away in a blanket fort listening to a music box.
You were Able to have sort of like a nice little chat with her until you escorted out of the palace. But the one thing that you have been tasked to do is to go to the traitors camp because it is believed that they have further information on how you can leave Sanctuary and back to the elsewhere world.
You as you left the palace you did find that a number of Sanctuary's population has now congregated outside asking you all sorts of questions. They obviously rumors have started going around, rumors have gone around, natters had had.
And they now know that five Ambrother Talons new people have arrived in Sanctuary after 30 years.
As the five of you are almost bombarded with, With this crowd of people you, you see like this, this scaled sort of clawed hand reach out from the crowd as it tries to sort of push people out of the way.
And you see Finway the dragonsent who you know from the Lazy Dog.
And he's as these people are trying to almost sort of like enveloping you, asking you all sorts of questions. He just kind of goes like come with me quick quick. We'll we'll, we'll hide you out in the Lazy Dog quickly.
And so he who's whose hand is probably reaching out to Finways,
[00:08:12] Speaker E: don't you think pally might.
[00:08:13] Speaker C: Yeah, I think yeah. Yeah, makes sense.
[00:08:16] Speaker A: Okay, so Pali, as you, as you grab Fenway's hand, he. He tries to sort of like pull you and along with the rest of you through this crowd almost kind of not getting nasty but almost getting slightly agitated by the fact that you are ignoring their questions. Almost like a sort of demand of paparazzi in a way as they, as they as they're trying to envelop you.
But Fenway is able to lead the five of you back to the Lazy Dog where he, where he sort of ushers everyone in and tries tries him with BB at the same time tries to sort of keep everyone out as they're as they're all sort of like looking through windows and, and banging on the door as the five of you are ushered into the Lazy Dog and they close the door locked as you can hear sort of like distant bangings and murmurings and people looking through the window as they were almost like a slightly not so horrible zombie horde just sort of like outside.
But as you, but that noise and that rabble calms down and sort of quietens down a bit as you sort of find yourself back into the Lazy Dog where you previously were this morning in there is obviously Fenway and Bibi Rollo is also There behind the bar.
Kelphin is sat at the bar with already his morning drink.
But you're also pleased to see that Aldous is there as well. Aldous is there. And along with Aldous is also Lainey. So the artificer who Murden just said to do better.
[00:10:10] Speaker E: Puffy eyes, red face.
[00:10:13] Speaker A: Yes. As on her lap, she's holding Explorer.
[00:10:20] Speaker E: And we love Explorer.
He's trying his best.
[00:10:29] Speaker A: And so while they. While they do their best to sort of lock the door and usher you in to the lazy dog Rollo behind the bar, he kind of goes like, well, it might be a bit early, but anyone want to drink?
[00:10:49] Speaker E: Oh, cup of tea would be lovely.
[00:10:51] Speaker A: Cup of tea. Of course. Of course.
And he'll start just sort of serving bits up. He'll. He will leave like, a little, like, bottle of the. Of the good stuff from the night before. But he especially makes you sort of a cup of tea again. You notice that it looks like the same sort of tea that you had at Tucker's the other night.
You're the candy tea. Right.
And yeah, you.
You are now sort of left here to sort of gather your thoughts and to.
To decide what your next actions are. And Rollo goes, well, how. How. How did it go?
[00:11:41] Speaker E: Could have gone better, but once all the ruckus died down, I feel like we. We got on quite well with Lady Rondanisa, didn't we?
[00:11:54] Speaker C: Yeah, I guess so.
We've got some stuff to do.
[00:12:00] Speaker A: Oh, to.
[00:12:03] Speaker C: Yeah, I think we're going to head to the traitor's camp.
Oh, yeah. Can I, like, Can I in. In a sense incite the. See how that.
Saying that out loud. How does that react to the others? Because I know, like, originally there was a bit of tension around to take this camp when we first turned up.
[00:12:23] Speaker A: Yeah.
I mean, you don't even need to roll insight with. With you just saying the traitor's camp, like Rollo and BB and Fenway are probably.
Well, all of them actually are a bit like, oh, oh, that's.
That's a turn up for the books and more sort of like inquisitive of kind of like saying like, well.
And Rollo goes like, well, why. Why did. Why did they ask you to go.
To go to the traitor's camp,
[00:12:56] Speaker E: though? There's a. There's a mage there that Lady Rondinisa suspects might be able to give us information. And this is where Julia the player is trying to desperately remind herself what we're meant to find out from this mage. Find out what they know. That was it we're just finding out what they know. We're to infiltrate the traitor's camp and just find out what they know.
[00:13:24] Speaker A: Aldous sort of clops forward.
He goes, well, do you.
Do you think they're gonna know anything more?
[00:13:35] Speaker E: I mean, they may know something about the Shadow Swords that the people of Sanctuary don't. Perhaps it's our best lead so far for figuring out if it's possible to rescue the people here.
[00:13:54] Speaker A: Aldous sort of looks like little bit confused at that. I just said, well, why do we need rescuing?
I mean, Sanctuary is obviously. It's small, but it's.
It's. It's good.
I mean, we don't need rescuing from anything.
[00:14:15] Speaker D: We have people we rescue where we come from, which is something.
[00:14:22] Speaker A: Oh, and hearing that, I think Aldous kind of feels like, a little bit sheepish. He's just like, oh, as he should.
He says, I beg your pardon. I was. I was just thinking of myself.
I didn't realize that you had problems back at home.
[00:14:44] Speaker E: Well, apologies. I did misspeak. Of course. Sanctuary is a lovely place, and it is not to denigrate it or imply it's not, but the rest of Elsweyr is out there, and there are people here in Sanctuary who remember that wider world.
Surely they should have the choice.
[00:15:12] Speaker A: Rollo, with that sort of nods, and he's like, yes, I.
I do admit that we've. We've mourned family that we believed that we'd never seen again, that had. That had perished in the. In the sundering.
But knowing that they might be back there is a.
Is a glimmer of hope, I will say.
Lainey, who has been quite quiet for most of it, of most of this conversation, has she just kind of.
She drops. She sort of pops Explorer down onto the floor.
He kind of, like, looks up, looks back at her, and then he sort of waddles his way over to the five of you, and Lainey goes like, explorer bot is ready when you're ready to go.
And she's. She's looking a little bit forlorn, a little bit bitter.
[00:16:19] Speaker B: Well, here I am. To rub salt in the wings.
[00:16:22] Speaker E: He's.
[00:16:23] Speaker B: He's not gonna attack us, is he?
[00:16:29] Speaker A: She just, like, looks at you, and she's just like, no, it's just like.
[00:16:36] Speaker B: I don't know. I've met. Well, I've met more of the Oreo robots that have attacked us than have it so.
[00:16:41] Speaker A: Well, Explorer bots don't attack people.
They just explore.
[00:16:53] Speaker B: But he doesn't kind of go and explore on his own. Why is he gonna come with us?
[00:16:58] Speaker A: Cuz he's gonna take you to the camp.
[00:17:04] Speaker B: Does he have. Does he have friends at the Traitor's camp?
[00:17:07] Speaker D: I'm sure he will do an excellent job of it. And we will keep a close eye on him.
[00:17:17] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:17:19] Speaker D: Looking over the top of Virgil's head, this little picture.
[00:17:32] Speaker A: So you have. You have explorer bot. You have some time to have any discussions between the five of you or any of the NPCs who are here before you make your journey.
[00:17:49] Speaker F: We still need to decide how we approaching this camp.
There were a couple of ideas that we've already thrown around, but I don't remember us coming to a firm conclusion.
Are we sneaking in or are we just walking through the front door
[00:18:08] Speaker C: claiming to be outsiders, looking for support? Or are we looking to be offensive? That's the question.
[00:18:16] Speaker E: Definitely. I'd rather not have offensive. If that's all the same to you lot. I do feel as if we should probably. Sorry, Bo. I feel as if we should probably hang back a little, observe and then make a diplomatic approach.
Make it clear we're friendly.
[00:18:37] Speaker D: Oh, look at us. We're the friendliest bunch you could ever meet.
[00:18:40] Speaker E: They have a mage. I'm a mage. It's all going be to be fine.
The mage code, you know.
You know how well mages get on. Famously.
[00:18:53] Speaker B: Famously.
[00:18:54] Speaker D: Famously, Famously.
[00:18:59] Speaker E: Yes, it'll completely be fine.
[00:19:01] Speaker D: The mage hive mind. Yes, we've all heard it.
[00:19:06] Speaker E: Oh, even I have not quite graduated to the ranks of the. The mage hive mind yet, Virgil. But thank you for the flattery. I'm working on it.
[00:19:17] Speaker B: Is Daddy Kelvin. I mean, is Kelvin still around?
[00:19:21] Speaker E: Yeah, looking very bashful.
[00:19:24] Speaker A: Kelvin is at the bar and he is not paying much mind to the conversation that's happening at the moment.
He's sort of just looking into a drink. The like, pretty much kind of the same way that you found him the night before. Okay.
[00:19:44] Speaker B: Okay. Beau will grab the bottle of whiskey from the table and he's gonna go wander over and scooch up next year.
[00:19:53] Speaker E: Oh God.
This is what depressed dad needs.
Little dragon with a gun.
[00:20:04] Speaker B: So, shall we?
So I'll just scooch up and he'll pour out two fingers of whiskey for Kelford.
[00:20:20] Speaker A: Cool.
[00:20:22] Speaker B: And be like, so little bit of trouble at home.
[00:20:31] Speaker A: Well, what. What gave it away? The fact that my wife slapped me in front of everyone?
[00:20:37] Speaker B: Well, that was. That was clue number one.
But I mean, you know, can't just drink it away. Well, maybe you can.
Seems to be what you're doing at the moment?
[00:20:57] Speaker A: Yes. I'm. I'm a little bit lost. What else I can really do?
All I feel like I can do at the moment is give her time.
I don't think she's gonna see things my way, but at the end of the day, both of us just want what's best for our daughters, and I can't fault her for that.
[00:21:27] Speaker B: Or what's the.
What's the crux of it? What's the big disagreement?
[00:21:38] Speaker A: Our first daughter, Maria, she.
She got chosen in the friend ceremony. Friendship ceremony.
And both me and my mother were. Both. Me and my wife were both incredibly proud.
When I worked there as one of the head guards, I started noticing that something odd was happening to the children.
It was almost like.
It was almost like she had completely forgotten who I was. Like.
Like she was a shell of a person that she used to be. This. This wonderful, bright, vibrant girl.
And when I. I tried to tell my wife about this, she.
She just wouldn't have it. She just believed that this was the best thing ever. That we've.
We've prospered so much from what the princess has provided us.
I left as a head guard because I just couldn't. I couldn't stand it. I couldn't stand my own daughter not even knowing who I was.
And.
And then when she wanted Annabelle to go, I.
I tried my best to say no, I don't think. I don't think this is a good idea. And arguments spawned from that.
And now I'm here, just hoping that she doesn't.
Selfishly hoping that she doesn't get selected.
[00:23:28] Speaker B: That sounds awful complicated.
[00:23:31] Speaker A: It is.
[00:23:33] Speaker B: But thinking of community like this. Some people can't see the wood from the trees. You know what I'm saying?
How's your daughter now? Have you got her back or. She's still in the. In the castle?
[00:23:49] Speaker A: She's back and she's fine.
Absolutely fine.
[00:23:53] Speaker B: She remembers you. She remembers everything.
[00:23:55] Speaker A: She remembers everything.
She got fairy wings.
Isn't that funny?
[00:24:01] Speaker B: Oh, good for her.
[00:24:04] Speaker E: It's not legs.
[00:24:08] Speaker D: It's not legs.
[00:24:10] Speaker A: What is this. This thing with you and legs?
[00:24:13] Speaker B: I'm just saying. I just. I've never seen anything like it. And I just think, spare pair of legs, what can. You can't ask for more.
[00:24:23] Speaker E: Elysia.
[00:24:26] Speaker B: If.
If I was you, I'd be exactly the same.
You know, family's family. You can't let them get corrupted.
[00:24:37] Speaker A: I'll see what more I can do here.
There's not a lot I can offer you.
Heading to the traitor's camp. Just a Good luck.
I.
I hope that you're able to find away back to elsewhere. I.
To be fair, I have family who I thought I had lost and I wouldn't mind seeing them again.
[00:25:05] Speaker B: I hear that.
So.
Expert opinion my man.
Sneaky or through the front gate.
[00:25:18] Speaker A: All I can say is is that their parameters are highly vigilant.
They. They don't have the same securities as we do here in sanctuary. They. They have to have guards out all the time to make sure that none of the Shadow swords are going to get past their parameters.
There may be traps.
So that's all I can say.
As for sneaky. Sneaky or going straight through the door, I can't.
I can't really say. As far as I'm aware, they are not violent. They're not violent
[00:26:00] Speaker B: so they'll be easy to kill. Interesting.
[00:26:05] Speaker D: I mean Bo learning all the wrong information.
[00:26:10] Speaker B: Unarmed.
Fantastic.
[00:26:13] Speaker A: Well, they'll still be armed.
You know this. They would still be prepared for a fight, but not without good cause. I think it's more in defense.
[00:26:27] Speaker B: Cool. Good chance.
[00:26:29] Speaker A: Good chance.
You know he gives you a fist bump back. He said, you know, my brother's a dragonsent.
It'll be good to see him again.
[00:26:43] Speaker B: Oh is he. Is he a tall drink of water like me?
[00:26:48] Speaker A: A little bit taller, but I couldn't say. I wouldn't like to think that about my brother.
Ask his name.
[00:26:57] Speaker E: The brother's name.
[00:26:59] Speaker B: Oh, I say we already know his name.
[00:27:01] Speaker E: Know the brother's name.
This is really embarrassing. I still don't know the mayor's name.
[00:27:10] Speaker B: What's your brother's name?
A number.
[00:27:16] Speaker E: Give me his digits.
[00:27:18] Speaker A: Give me his digits.
Cavern. His name's Cavern.
[00:27:24] Speaker B: Ah, sounds like a slut.
Cavern. We knew it.
[00:27:36] Speaker E: Season two.
[00:27:39] Speaker B: I can't say I've ever heard of him.
[00:27:41] Speaker A: He gets around, but probably out of my circles.
[00:27:46] Speaker B: I don't know. Does he like cowboys?
[00:27:49] Speaker A: I wouldn't put it past him.
[00:27:52] Speaker E: Oh yeah. He'd go for a cowboy.
[00:27:59] Speaker F: Think I've seen probably not the size of cowboy already.
[00:28:01] Speaker E: No. You never know. What was that? What was that? Dan?
[00:28:04] Speaker F: I think I've seen Cavern as a cowboy. Riding. As a cowboy already. I think.
[00:28:08] Speaker B: Riding. Riding something or
[00:28:12] Speaker F: funny. Sorry.
[00:28:17] Speaker B: Okay, Bo, just get. I like to think that they're sitting on Bar St. So it just takes a while for Bo to get down because he's get.
[00:28:24] Speaker A: Yeah, well while you two. While you two are having your little chat, is there anything else that
[00:28:32] Speaker E: I think that that would be what What I would have done just, you know, Find an NPC and ask what we should do.
What do they know about the Trace camp? Is there anyone in town who has ever been there or seen it and come back?
If anyone who's defected, maybe Roller would. Might know that.
[00:28:54] Speaker A: If you're asking these questions, Roller says, well, anyone who's. Anyone who's gone to the traitor's camp, they've. They've not come back. They've.
A lot of the time, if someone's gone to the traitor's camp, they've not been accepted back into sanctuary.
Okay, so when you go there, you pretty much stay there.
[00:29:15] Speaker E: Oh, very well.
Okay. I think.
[00:29:23] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:29:23] Speaker E: I don't think there's anything else.
[00:29:25] Speaker A: You're more than welcome to have any chats between the five of you at all. But if you're all.
But if you're all, maybe we'll chat on the way. Chat on the way.
Fair enough.
[00:29:36] Speaker D: Walk and talk.
[00:29:36] Speaker A: Walk and talk. Okay.
Rollo packs up some.
Some breads and cheeses, some flour, cow meat.
[00:29:48] Speaker B: Meats and cheeses.
[00:29:49] Speaker A: Meats and cheeses always pleases.
He packs them up in. Into some little baggies for you to take along on your trip.
And as. As the five of you are sort of preparing to head off, you notice that the crowd outside has gotten much more quieter. Like, almost deadly quiet. Like. Like you can feel the presence of people out there, but everyone is just like, silent.
Finway goes to open the door for U5 to leave, and standing in the doorway is the dragon spawn. Not even in the doorway. She's way too big. She's just standing outside and she.
She kind of. She's noticed the big hubbub that's happened, and she has made way for people to sort of let the five of you pass.
As she. As she looks down at the five of you and she's just like, good luck.
Explorer will be able to get you there and get you back.
Find out what you can, and hopefully we can get you home.
[00:31:13] Speaker E: Are you coming?
[00:31:15] Speaker A: No, She. She looks at you and goes, unfortunately not.
I have many pressing tasks to be finished off at the palace. The princess is under my security very well.
[00:31:35] Speaker E: Just a thought.
[00:31:39] Speaker A: And as she sort of spreads her massive wings to give space for the five of you to walk quite freely through the crowd, as all of. All you can just hear is just hush. Just like, are they traitorous themselves? Where are they going? What's happening? Oh, but almost in a sort of, like, not in a. Not in a negative sort of sense. They're just very confused and very intrigued about what the Five of you are doing.
[00:32:13] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:32:13] Speaker F: I can't help but feel that there are looks from Maiden to anyone he overhears whispering about them.
[00:32:23] Speaker A: Yeah, they just.
[00:32:24] Speaker D: The friendliest, most reassuring face.
[00:32:28] Speaker A: Just like, is he. Has he got stones flowing around him?
Yeah. You hear there's lots of little sort of questions, just like, are they. Are they magic users? Why does he have red eyes? Why is he so small?
[00:32:49] Speaker B: Talking about Palmy. Yeah.
Why is he just a little guy?
[00:32:55] Speaker E: Why is he a small guy?
[00:32:58] Speaker A: Coming behind you is Aldous. And he says, well, I'll. I'll take you to the edge of Sanctuary and I'll. I'll leave you there, but I'll. I'll get you on the best route and then Explorer can take you the rest of the way there.
[00:33:18] Speaker C: Thank you.
Thank you so much.
[00:33:22] Speaker A: So Aldous has.
[00:33:24] Speaker E: Who's riding on Aldous?
[00:33:26] Speaker A: Aldous is not coming with you?
[00:33:27] Speaker E: No, he's taking us out of town.
He's off.
[00:33:37] Speaker A: Aldous says that's almost like a normal person giving you a piggyback. Is that what you expect?
[00:33:47] Speaker B: I ask Merton every day
[00:33:51] Speaker A: a piece.
[00:33:54] Speaker B: My leggies are tired.
They're so small, only a princess could make them tall for me.
[00:34:07] Speaker A: So, yeah, Aldous takes you to the.
To the border. It's not sort of close to where his farm was. It's almost over to the other side of Sanctuary. So you've. You've had like a little way to sort of just like check out all the houses, sort of check out more of the scenery. But he takes you now to a sort of like a gated area. It's not like it doesn't look like anything. That's sort of like an impenetrative force. It's just a wooden fence, really, with a gate, with a normal gate.
And he just sort of opens it to this path and he's just like, okay, well, explorer bad. Just do your work.
Safe travels.
See you soon, I guess.
[00:35:01] Speaker C: Yeah, see you soon. Thank you.
[00:35:03] Speaker E: Thank you.
[00:35:05] Speaker A: And the five of you trundle up this pathway back into the forest of pinks and lilacs and blues.
[00:35:15] Speaker F: How. How long, roughly, does it seem like we spent in the castle? Like, what time is it now? Is it. I'm imagining it's like coming up to lunchtime.
[00:35:27] Speaker A: Yeah. So it was sort of like you. You got into the castle round about midday. Ish. Probably more like early midday. So about 11 o' clock you've. You were probably in the castle for a good hour and a bit.
And you were probably in the Lazy Dog again for probably about like half an hour to an hour. Okay, so you, you are now sort of like in mid afternoon time.
As you start wandering back into this it almost nothing now seems new to you. You've. You've seen the, you've seen the pink and the blue foliage of the trees.
You've seen the almost emerald sparkling grass, the butterflies that give off powder paint sort of puffs as they go along.
You've seen the, you've seen the chiming of birds almost sounding like instruments and the babbling sort of purple brooks, mushrooms that sort of curve into one another to make bigger trees.
You've probably traveled for about not even about half an hour until something suddenly shifts.
It's almost like, it's almost like you've hit like a border in a way and a screen has sort of been shifted over your vision as once, as once pinks and purples and blues now shift to kind of dark greys and browns.
Almost like night has enveloped where you're coming from and almost taken all of the life out of everything along with it.
You're feeling a little bit more that feeling that you had when you were first in the east valley for forest when you first met the shadow swords.
The trees are now starting to even like drop leaves at the very impression of you being there.
They are, they are sort of falling from the, from the tree barks and the barks are almost sort of like shifting to become gnarled and brittle as you travel more into the woods.
Virgil noticing this very drastic change.
What is, what is one of the very first things that kind of takes you by surprise of just from vivid and lively to almost decaying that you've noticed as you've, as you've now wandered into almost like a brand new area of this new land.
[00:38:32] Speaker D: I think it's probably the change in temperature.
I imagine the way before us was quite temperate like just a warm evening afternoon kind of like permanently just the right temperature.
Whereas suddenly there's just this harsh dip when we get come. And I think as someone who lives in the forest and has done for several years, that's been what he has always noticed the most before like a dramatic change in the weather. There's always a dip in temperature which is kind of. It sparked his danger senses for when he knows something is about. It's like when there's a total silence in the forest. It's the same as when there's a temperature drop. He knows to be wary.
[00:39:14] Speaker A: Yeah, I guess it is a very sudden shock to the system considering that the, the warmth In Sanctuary. And the warmth, even in the woods previously had always just been this very comfortable sort of mild warmth, but then suddenly feeling almost like not. Not like a chill, but almost like a damp, cold sort of wash over you.
Definitely makes you feel that something.
Something is a mess in this area of the woods.
Merden, what's the first thing that you notice?
[00:39:57] Speaker F: First thing Mir notices.
So you got the sun drop of temperature. Everything's gone gloomy.
This.
There's this constant sense that there are eyes up in the. Like the gloomy canopy overhead.
[00:40:24] Speaker A: What? It's.
[00:40:25] Speaker F: It's the feeling that you're being like when you feel like someone. Well, sorry. When you feel like you can see someone, something looking at you out the corner of your eye, but then when you turn to look, there's nothing there.
But. Yeah, just that and the mixing in with the creaking of the, like, the nature around us.
Like there's a. It almost sounds like a. A slowly rocking ship, like wood creaking ever so slowly. And then. Yeah. Seeing. Seemingly observing you
[00:41:10] Speaker A: pally, what's the first thing that you notice?
[00:41:14] Speaker C: I think all the colors seem muted.
So, like it's gloomy, but it's more than that. I feel like everything before felt so saturated that now even the colors, even the brighter colors that should be brighter feel like you just turned down the saturation.
All the colors around everything just seems a lot more dark and a lot more bland even when it shouldn't be.
[00:41:47] Speaker A: Yeah.
Beau, how about you?
What's the first thing that you notice
[00:41:55] Speaker B: that it just feels.
Just feels different underfoot. It feels more real than previously, I guess with going through Sanctuary with its perfectly manicured grass and its picture perfect sort of cobblestone folio, like walking around. We're now in is. Yeah. It's like it's kind of uncanny valley. It's back to what would be more normal, but it's very jarring compared to the contrast of perfection that was Sanctuary.
[00:42:42] Speaker A: And Lucretia, how about you?
[00:42:45] Speaker E: I think she notices that the sounds of the wildlife and the forest have changed a lot. Like, it's a lot more sparse and before we were getting birdsong and things like that, but now it's just the sound of the occasional kind of insect. And she can almost swear that there's a frog croaking in the distance that's almost speaking like saying creepy things like turn back.
[00:43:22] Speaker A: So, yeah, as the.
As the five of you and Brother Talons sort of notice these. These massive changes and look around at once. Once. What was sort of like Brightly bright woods. Even now that it's even like you know, that it's mid afternoon, that everything has gone dark as well. Like it's almost like you are.
You're on a. Almost like a sort of murky dark day has just hit like this whole area.
Yeah.
As Explorer continues on. Explorer doesn't seem to be phased in any sort of way. He just, he just continues on.
[00:44:24] Speaker E: We're going to the traitor's cat camp, but we don't die.
[00:44:30] Speaker A: As he, as he.
As he pulls you, as he sort of trundles along in front of you as the lot of you make your way sort of like along this shallow brook.
Could all of you roll me.
[00:44:46] Speaker E: Uhoh.
[00:44:47] Speaker A: Let's have a little thinky here.
[00:44:49] Speaker B: A sanity check.
[00:44:50] Speaker A: A sanity check.
Could all of you roll me an instinct check?
[00:44:58] Speaker F: Reactive.
[00:44:59] Speaker B: Reactive?
[00:45:00] Speaker A: Yes please. And for Murden, if you've already rolled it, Merton, could you roll your one again? But could you roll it with advantage for me, please?
[00:45:11] Speaker F: Tell you what, in interests of fairness, I got a 10 plus 5. I've got 15 with hope.
[00:45:20] Speaker A: 15 with hope.
[00:45:22] Speaker D: Is there any way I could use forest living in this instinct check. Or is that a forest even Lebanon?
[00:45:32] Speaker A: Not for this reaction check. No, that's fine.
Okay.
I think with you, Virgil, your probably you've.
With you feeling like, you know that this drop in temperature is feeling something wrong. You're probably more interested in what could have possibly caused this drop in temperature. Just like. Is it the weather? What's happening with the grass?
Lucretia, I like to.
Yeah, he's just covering you like his feathers are growing big and bigger and you're just like ah, get out the way.
Lucretia, you're probably more interested in this sort of very sudden change in. In weather and surroundings on a more sort of academic level.
[00:46:25] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:46:26] Speaker A: And Beau, I like to think that you probably are just kind of thinking like ain't nobody. Nobody's got time for this.
[00:46:34] Speaker B: Why did you take us this way? This seems like a really creepy wood to walk through.
[00:46:42] Speaker A: Murden and Pally, as.
As soldiers yourself, you know that even at the most sort of dramatic of changes that you like at these times, you have to be the most vigilant.
But Merden, you can't help but feel something vibrate in your. In your rune on your. On your medallion.
You can't help but feel that Artiosa is communicating with you again.
That same feeling that you had the other day where it's almost like she's trying to. To pull you towards something to grab to make sure that you. She grabs your attention and Pally, as you also are looking forward and Murden sort of meets your eye and then meets your gaze to where you're looking at.
Both of you notice sort of this, this kind of green.
This green glow that's. That's sort of in between the foliage of the trees, of these gnarled trees.
And as the both of you try to make out the shape of it, you can't help but notice that this, this being that you're seeing is absolutely enormous.
[00:48:04] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:48:07] Speaker A: Mid. And obviously you've met a world spirit. You have a world spirit that sort of resides inside you in a way.
Pali, have you ever met a world spirit before or seen a world spirit before?
[00:48:20] Speaker C: I don't think he has. I feel like he's her tale spirit. And I think he.
Yeah, I've got a feeling like because he entered the war so late and then ends up being explorer. Unless it's. Unless he's come up to Ra before, this exploring. I don't think he has.
[00:48:42] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:48:43] Speaker C: It's quite new. So I think he would be knowledgeable of their existence, but I don't think he'd have never.
[00:48:50] Speaker A: So yeah, you, You.
You can see this being and, and just from your very limited knowledge, but from your role that you've got, you can tell that this is like, this is actually probably a world spirit. As the both of you are gazing upon this almost this large.
This large sort of like goat, antelope to type creature that is literally just sort of.
Just kind of sitting down like all fours sort of folded underneath itself.
And it has these. This wonderful sort of like big rough that goes around its neck, these light green stripes that vibrate illuminescently in the. In the darkness and is just sort of sitting there almost like heavy breathing.
[00:49:52] Speaker C: Does it look like it's in any like because of the heavy breathing?
[00:49:55] Speaker A: Is it any distress or is looks like it's. It's resting from a long run.
[00:50:05] Speaker F: Maiden's gonna sort of like put a hand out and.
Yeah. Begin walking over to this thing like cautiously slowly.
[00:50:18] Speaker A: Could you roll me an agility check for me, please?
[00:50:21] Speaker B: Oh,
[00:50:25] Speaker A: not a reaction, by the way.
[00:50:30] Speaker E: Have the rest of us seen it by this point?
[00:50:33] Speaker A: Not yet, no. Huh.
[00:50:35] Speaker F: I'm.
If there's that power swelling within the amulet around my neck, I'm gonna spend a. Hope to be blessed by Artiosa.
[00:50:47] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:50:50] Speaker F: Whoa, baby.
[00:50:53] Speaker E: That's impressive.
[00:50:54] Speaker B: Nice.
[00:50:55] Speaker A: As.
As you slowly try to approach this, this, this big beast, you notice that you just hear this under your Feet, and spores of, like, these mushrooms start sort of coming out from underneath your feet, but it doesn't seem to be that prominent. It just kind of gets.
And then just sort of sinks to the floor.
But hearing this sound, you notice that this. This creature, this wild spirit has then sort of looked up and is looking at you.
[00:51:40] Speaker F: I'm approaching palms up, sort of like. And hands down to the sides to. To show no threat.
I don't know everything about this place, but you're not supposed to be here.
[00:52:07] Speaker A: As you say this.
You sudden, like, the. The creature looks down at you is. It's. It's pretty big.
It looks down, down at you, and then suddenly the. The creaking of wood becomes a lot more noisier. The creaking of, like, trees being parted suddenly just.
Just comes out of nowhere. This wild spirit looks up, is turned right up, and then dashes off in the opposite direction. Way too far fast for you to even comprehend where it could have gone. Almost as if it sort of then sort of disappeared into dust.
As Merden, you also look around to see where the noise had come from.
And sort of in the sort of vicinity.
Shadow Swords.
[00:53:12] Speaker E: It's Shadow Swords, I called it.
Knew it.
[00:53:18] Speaker A: Two Shadow Swords have started sort of walking out of the woods.
[00:53:26] Speaker B: Get him, Bo.
[00:53:29] Speaker E: Get him. Get him.
[00:53:30] Speaker B: Me get him?
[00:53:32] Speaker E: Yeah, Bo, get him.
[00:53:37] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:53:40] Speaker E: Are we in combat night?
[00:53:42] Speaker A: I can put you in combat if you want.
[00:53:44] Speaker E: Oh, oh, oh. We could just sneak by them.
[00:53:49] Speaker A: Hello.
[00:53:51] Speaker E: You said maybe they're friendly when they're in the woods. When they're in their own element, you never know.
Although they don't sound very friendly. Think we were told they weren't very friendly to us. And they're distinctly unfriendly to the people of Sanctuary who go too far from the borders.
[00:54:07] Speaker B: You said get.
[00:54:09] Speaker A: Get.
[00:54:10] Speaker C: The world spirit ran away from them as well, which.
[00:54:12] Speaker E: Yeah, that's not a good sign.
Not a good sign. Do any of us even know there was a world spirit there?
[00:54:22] Speaker C: That was cool, bro.
[00:54:23] Speaker E: Lucretia is still, like, investigating the mushroom mushrooms at Merden's feet. Oh, fascinating. You found some lovely fungi here, I guess.
[00:54:33] Speaker F: Yeah, I'm. Actually.
[00:54:33] Speaker D: Virgil still has brother talons in his eyes.
[00:54:36] Speaker B: Have they seen us?
[00:54:38] Speaker A: It appears not.
[00:54:40] Speaker E: Oh, okay.
[00:54:42] Speaker D: Let's get him. Sneaky.
[00:54:46] Speaker E: Can I.
[00:54:46] Speaker B: Can I. Can I shoot him?
[00:54:48] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:54:49] Speaker B: Thank you.
I.
[00:54:52] Speaker E: Look. Shooter.
[00:54:53] Speaker B: Sharpshooter is my.
[00:54:55] Speaker E: He's got a shooter.
[00:54:59] Speaker B: Because I am.
They haven't seen me yet. Can I have advantage?
[00:55:06] Speaker A: Yeah. Please. I will allow that very much.
[00:55:13] Speaker B: That's a Crit, sir.
[00:55:15] Speaker A: That is a crit indeed. Which one?
Which one are you aiming for?
[00:55:21] Speaker B: The one closest to us, please. The same side of the river as us.
Combat training and sneak attack. Because I am sneaking.
69.
[00:55:41] Speaker A: Yes, with a 69.
You are after Lucretia. Sort of like shaking your shoulder. Guys, shoot them. Shoot them down.
[00:55:52] Speaker E: Shoot him.
[00:55:52] Speaker B: Bow
[00:55:55] Speaker C: along
[00:55:58] Speaker A: you. You have like a really clear shot of the Shadow Sword and you are able to get him four severe damage.
[00:56:06] Speaker E: Hell yeah.
[00:56:08] Speaker A: As nice as this creature sort of ricochets back and now is fully of your. And can fully see you're there and fully know of your intention. Including his little mate who also feels some sort of reaction to this.
As the.
As also with the Shadow Sword noticing this now this. Attention attack out from the sidelines also come
[00:56:41] Speaker E: these eight more.
[00:56:43] Speaker A: No, these other little creatures are they.
[00:56:48] Speaker E: There you go, cutie pie.
[00:56:50] Speaker D: Get him.
Get.
[00:56:53] Speaker E: Oh, get more of them.
[00:56:55] Speaker A: Shoot the doggies. Shoot the doggies.
[00:56:58] Speaker C: I don't think they're doggies.
[00:56:59] Speaker E: What are they?
[00:57:00] Speaker C: Don't think they're.
[00:57:01] Speaker E: What are they?
Doggy A.
[00:57:07] Speaker A: It's almost like these.
These floating spectrals. Almost like how the Shadow Children looked when you first came across these creatures. But these have big, large gnarled hands and they are floating a couple of feet above the ground.
[00:57:26] Speaker D: I think we're hugging.
[00:57:27] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:57:29] Speaker E: Big hands for hugs.
[00:57:36] Speaker F: Like Mirdin's just spinning on his back heel because he heard a crack. This world spirit's done a runner. Then he's heard a gunshot and then he's.
Then loads of floating Shadow ghosts have just appeared.
[00:57:48] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:57:51] Speaker C: Just a typical Tuesday for.
[00:57:57] Speaker A: So, yeah, all of these boys know you. So many boys. All of these.
[00:58:03] Speaker E: Now we've got to be in combat. Sure.
[00:58:05] Speaker A: Now you're all in com.
[00:58:11] Speaker D: Get the boys.
[00:58:12] Speaker E: Get their boys.
[00:58:14] Speaker A: So who would like to take the. Well, I mean. Bo, would you like to take the spotlight again after that incredible critic?
[00:58:21] Speaker B: Yeah, I'll shoot another one.
[00:58:23] Speaker A: Go for it.
[00:58:25] Speaker E: Shoot the same one again.
[00:58:27] Speaker B: Same one again. He knows I'm here now, so I'm gonna get advantage. But let me shoot him again.
He's wrong twice.
22.
[00:58:42] Speaker A: 22 with fear. Yes, that is a hit.
[00:58:45] Speaker B: When I get there, I get hope.
Kill. I will roll demos.
[00:59:00] Speaker A: A21.a21.a21 is just one off. Major damage. So it's minor damage.
[00:59:10] Speaker D: I thought you're going to say it doesn't hit.
[00:59:17] Speaker A: And so yeah, he's gonna. He again sort of like completely shocked by this bombardment of bullets. He then obviously takes another bullet and this sort of powdery ash that you remember from the day before splurts out from his shoulder blade as he is just, like, not happy. He's not happy with it.
[00:59:37] Speaker B: No. He is bopped.
[00:59:39] Speaker A: He is Bob.
[00:59:40] Speaker D: He's so bobbed.
[00:59:42] Speaker B: Cool. We'll just turn around. Come on, guys.
[00:59:44] Speaker E: It's not just me
[00:59:48] Speaker A: with that. He with. Because you. Pardon me. I'm gonna just do a really big burp, so don't put this in.
Sorry.
[00:59:59] Speaker B: That's a big old puppy.
[01:00:03] Speaker C: Sorry.
[01:00:04] Speaker A: That was building up. I just keep on breathing in too much air.
Because you rolled with fear.
[01:00:10] Speaker B: Oh, you're gonna do a big burp.
[01:00:14] Speaker F: I'm gonna do a big burp.
[01:00:16] Speaker A: This chappie is gonna come up. Oh, he's just in close range. He is. He is not happy. And he's gonna come up.
He is going to come up to you, Bo.
[01:00:27] Speaker E: Not explorer, though.
Leave Explorer
[01:00:33] Speaker B: around to take my hit.
[01:00:36] Speaker A: And he is.
And he is going to attack you with his sharpened limbs.
Come on.
Oh, let me. Please.
[01:00:55] Speaker C: No.
[01:00:56] Speaker E: Absolutely not.
[01:00:57] Speaker A: Why are you not letting me type in the chat?
Not allowed.
[01:01:05] Speaker D: Obviously,
[01:01:07] Speaker A: I'm trying to.
[01:01:09] Speaker C: What?
[01:01:11] Speaker B: Shoplims dead.
[01:01:13] Speaker A: It's. It's only letting me select, like, one of each on the dice, and now I can't untick them.
[01:01:21] Speaker E: Oh, yeah.
[01:01:23] Speaker F: Refresh Foundry because you might have logged out.
[01:01:27] Speaker A: Let's do a little refresh.
[01:01:29] Speaker B: My character's being really weird.
[01:01:31] Speaker F: I noticed that around about this time during the live streams, sometimes I just start scrambling stops being able to do
[01:01:39] Speaker A: anything just because every. Every bug is in there.
All right, let's get this back into place.
Nice.
[01:01:48] Speaker F: Bear in mind that.
Hang on. Trying to find this.
Oh, where's my cursor? There it is.
So this is the bottom right corner.
[01:02:03] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:02:04] Speaker F: Screen.
So now. Yeah, keep.
I'll just keep my dot in the bottom right corner. See?
Yeah.
[01:02:18] Speaker A: Okay. There you go.
Cool. That'll do.
[01:02:22] Speaker F: Yeah.
[01:02:23] Speaker A: Right, let's see if that works.
There we go. There we go.
And he is going to.
Not do that. That's not what I wanted to do. Sorry about that.
[01:02:44] Speaker D: Shush.
[01:02:44] Speaker A: Do it in a minute.
Does a 16 hit bow.
[01:03:00] Speaker B: I think it does. Yeah.
[01:03:01] Speaker A: It missed us.
[01:03:02] Speaker E: Oh, what a shame.
[01:03:04] Speaker C: Oh, whatever.
[01:03:04] Speaker A: It rolls.
[01:03:06] Speaker C: Paddy is taking the hit. So he's within very close range.
[01:03:12] Speaker E: What a good boy.
[01:03:15] Speaker C: That's what he's here for.
[01:03:17] Speaker B: That's right.
[01:03:18] Speaker C: And mirrored. It is too far away.
[01:03:19] Speaker B: He's too far away. Yeah.
[01:03:22] Speaker A: So that's a nine.
[01:03:23] Speaker C: Yeah. It's fine. It's all good.
So, yeah, so technically, I'm between them. Now,
[01:03:33] Speaker A: have you my shield and you've moved into that space.
Have you moved into that space, pally?
[01:03:41] Speaker C: Yep.
[01:03:42] Speaker A: Can you roll me an agility roll for me, please?
[01:03:45] Speaker C: I can. I can indeed.
Can I add to that? Is that a reaction roll?
[01:03:51] Speaker A: You can add to it if you want.
[01:03:54] Speaker C: Let's add a trained since birth.
[01:04:04] Speaker A: 20 with hope.
[01:04:04] Speaker C: 22 with hope.
[01:04:06] Speaker A: Yeah. You.
You see your fellow explorer in danger and you successfully transverse over to between him and the Shadow sword and take that nine points of damage which I remove.
[01:04:19] Speaker B: It doesn't do anything.
Yeah.
[01:04:22] Speaker C: Cool.
[01:04:24] Speaker B: Nice.
[01:04:26] Speaker A: Right, who would like to go next? Is it Lucretia or Vergil? Who'd like to go next?
[01:04:31] Speaker D: I think it's Lucretia who was first, I think.
[01:04:33] Speaker E: Yeah, possibly.
I think Lucretia is going to try a little thing. She's going to get in close into melee range of the Shadow Sword and she's going to do a little power push on this.
[01:04:47] Speaker A: Dude, before you do that, can you roll me an agility roll, please?
[01:04:51] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:04:52] Speaker E: Regular agility roll?
[01:04:54] Speaker A: Yes, please.
[01:04:55] Speaker E: Okay.
I don't think I have anything I can apply to this.
Let's see.
It is 16 with fear.
[01:05:05] Speaker A: 16 with fear. Yes. You're quite able to easily transfer your face.
[01:05:09] Speaker E: I don't fall on my face.
[01:05:11] Speaker A: You don't fall on your face.
[01:05:12] Speaker E: Nice.
Love it. This is what we like.
Book of Eva.
Can I.
Oh, gosh, what am I doing?
Here we go. Power push.
So this guy is gonna get pushed back. Hopefully, if all goes well, that is 14 with hope. Does that hit?
[01:05:39] Speaker A: That doesn't hit, unfortunately.
[01:05:43] Speaker F: It might hit if p prays real hard with the.
[01:05:50] Speaker E: Let's find out.
[01:05:51] Speaker A: Let's do that.
[01:05:53] Speaker C: Let's see.
Roll all the dice.
Okay, cool.
What do we need? I have a one, a two and a two. So I can give you a two.
[01:06:07] Speaker E: A two would be great. Yes, please.
[01:06:09] Speaker C: Yeah, I'll give it. Give you a two.
[01:06:11] Speaker A: I will. I will be nice.
[01:06:12] Speaker E: Oh, two's not gonna do it.
[01:06:14] Speaker A: And then say that a two's not gonna do it.
[01:06:16] Speaker E: Don't bother, Pali.
[01:06:17] Speaker A: It's all good.
[01:06:20] Speaker E: I attempt to push him and it does nothing, presumably.
[01:06:26] Speaker A: Yeah. You what? I mean, what does your push look like? Is it just like a flower? Force of.
[01:06:30] Speaker E: It's. Yeah, it's like a. It's like a sort of a mini wall of force that just is meant to push one enemy into far range, basically, and do some damage.
[01:06:40] Speaker A: Yeah, as. As you try and push this forward, this. This creature just sort of opens up its middle and it just goes straight through the middle of it.
[01:06:48] Speaker E: Perfect.
What were you going to say, Dan?
[01:06:53] Speaker F: Well, pally's devout, so you can.
[01:06:56] Speaker C: I can reroll my one.
[01:06:58] Speaker A: You can reroll.
[01:07:04] Speaker C: I always forget how to do this. Sorry.
Sorry.
[01:07:11] Speaker A: That's all right. You're more than welcome. Just to roll a D4 and just take that.
[01:07:15] Speaker C: Yeah, let's try that.
[01:07:21] Speaker A: It's a four.
[01:07:22] Speaker E: Can I have the four, please?
This may well finish this guy off, so this would be quite fun.
[01:07:30] Speaker C: Of course.
[01:07:30] Speaker A: Nice.
[01:07:31] Speaker E: On a success, they are knocked back to. Oh, wait, is it a Success?
Is a 14 plus 4 a success? Nathan?
[01:07:39] Speaker A: A 14 plus 4 is a success. Yes.
[01:07:41] Speaker E: Yay. Okay, I'm gonna roll my.
Roll my damage, I guess. No, that wasn't. That doesn't look right. Is that.
Oh, I guess it's my. It's my 14 with hope, damage or. Let's roll. Dimage.
[01:07:54] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:07:54] Speaker E: No situational bonus. That is 16.
[01:08:01] Speaker A: 16 with damage. And does he go. Does he get pushed back any sort of way?
[01:08:06] Speaker E: He's flying, babe.
Where's he gonna go? Let's find out. He is gonna go back to far range, straight back.
[01:08:15] Speaker A: He's gonna go straight back to far range here.
[01:08:19] Speaker E: And does he look unwell with.
[01:08:22] Speaker A: He looks. He looks slightly unwell, but that's only minor damage that you did to him.
But he is looking much more unwell than he previously did.
[01:08:30] Speaker E: I'm also going to step back a bit.
[01:08:33] Speaker A: Could you do me an agility?
[01:08:35] Speaker E: Yeah, fly me over. Every time.
[01:08:38] Speaker A: Every time.
[01:08:39] Speaker E: Every time.
That is 14 with fear.
[01:08:46] Speaker A: You.
You feel yourself slightly.
Slightly stumble over these roots, but you quickly sort of gather your.
Your stepping.
[01:08:57] Speaker E: Huh? Okay, thank you.
Just start levitating myself every.
Okay, I'm done.
[01:09:10] Speaker A: Virgil, would you like to go next?
[01:09:12] Speaker D: Yes.
How advantageous would it be? Would it be for me to use. I had up a second ago. Where am I?
Know thy enemy on one of these guys.
[01:09:25] Speaker E: What does that do?
[01:09:28] Speaker D: So it's never worked before. In the many times I've used it,
[01:09:32] Speaker E: it's never, never worked before.
[01:09:34] Speaker D: Never worked before.
When observing a creature, you can make an instinct roll against them. Honor success, spend a hope and ask the GM for one set of information about the target from the following options. Their unmarked hit points and stress. Their difficulty and damage thresholds. Their tactics and standard attack dice damage.
Their features and experiences.
[01:09:54] Speaker F: Really good on us Spoopy boys.
[01:09:57] Speaker D: Jaguars, give it a. Additionally, I can mark a stress to remove a fear from the GM sphere pool. I don't know how that's relevant to knowing thine enemy, but I'll take It.
[01:10:06] Speaker E: Wow.
Is that.
[01:10:08] Speaker D: Would that be handy to know about these guys?
[01:10:10] Speaker B: Maybe the new guys. We've got the new little guys.
[01:10:15] Speaker E: Yeah.
[01:10:15] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:10:16] Speaker D: I was thinking that. Would it be difficult? I'll roll it and then we'll decide if I get it.
Cool. I'll put that.
[01:10:32] Speaker F: Spicy roll.
[01:10:34] Speaker A: So that's a 15. Is that how much you need?
[01:10:38] Speaker D: I don't know.
[01:10:40] Speaker F: It's against their difficulty.
[01:10:42] Speaker A: Okay.
With a.
You can. You can really hard with us.
[01:10:56] Speaker D: Please let virtual be used.
[01:10:59] Speaker A: So I'm gonna say with a 15, you are more drawn towards these flying spectral beings rather than the. Rather than the shadow swords that you kind of already know about.
[01:11:13] Speaker D: I'll go for the little guys.
[01:11:15] Speaker A: So you.
[01:11:16] Speaker D: Cool. Oh, I can finally ask the question.
[01:11:18] Speaker B: Excellent.
[01:11:18] Speaker D: What should I ask?
[01:11:22] Speaker F: Difficulty and damage threshold could do that.
[01:11:26] Speaker B: See what thresholds would be interesting. Yeah.
[01:11:29] Speaker E: It's always good to know play with points.
[01:11:30] Speaker D: If we need to play with paradise and Pally, I shall ask.
[01:11:37] Speaker F: That is the bonus catch him pond machine.
[01:11:43] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:11:45] Speaker A: So, Virgil, as you. As you appear upon these creatures that are actually more.
They're kind of. They're kind of just sort of like, sort of floating there and looking at the five of you almost in a. In a bid to sort of work out their next moves, you can tell that their difficulty is 15.
So you literally just hit it.
[01:12:12] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[01:12:12] Speaker A: And their damage is.
So it's over 16 for major and over 29 for severe.
[01:12:23] Speaker D: Nice. Cool. That's good. I will shout this to everyone.
[01:12:28] Speaker A: And everyone goes. What the hell are you talking about?
[01:12:30] Speaker B: What are you talking about?
[01:12:32] Speaker A: Over 16.
[01:12:33] Speaker B: Over 16. 16 1. I just showed him.
[01:12:37] Speaker C: So is this Virgil. So pay attention.
[01:12:39] Speaker E: This Virgil being Virgil.
[01:12:41] Speaker A: Virgil being Virgil.
[01:12:46] Speaker F: I always knew Virgil was a filthy metagamer. He's just got the. He's just got the rule book out. He's just having a quick.
[01:12:53] Speaker D: Just get the dagger heart book out of my canvas.
[01:12:58] Speaker A: And because you rolled with a.
You rolled with hope. You succeeded with hope. Would you like to carry on, do something else or would you like to pass on to someone Elysia.
[01:13:08] Speaker B: I'll.
[01:13:08] Speaker D: I'm gonna spend a stress to take away a fair dice from you, Nathan. I'm sorry.
[01:13:13] Speaker A: Okay.
Did you spend a hope for that question as well?
[01:13:18] Speaker D: I.
I also. I got a hope.
[01:13:22] Speaker A: Okay then. So out. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You want to take away away one of my lovely fears? You can indeed.
[01:13:27] Speaker D: Sorry, it's just mine now. I'm gonna omnom.
I will. I'll. I'll. I'll shoot it. The one. The little floaty guy. Yeah. With a gun over here.
With just seeing her as bow is doing so well.
I'm gonna head up over here and I'm gonna shoot this guy with my little crossbow.
[01:13:52] Speaker A: Could you roll if you're moving, can you roll me an agility please?
[01:13:55] Speaker D: Yes, I will. Oh actually I. I will fly because I haven't used this either. I will fly.
[01:14:01] Speaker B: Actually.
[01:14:02] Speaker D: I'm gonna use deft maneuvers.
[01:14:05] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:14:06] Speaker D: So once I will.
There you go.
Once per rest marker stress to sprint anywhere within far range without making agility roll to get there. If you end this movement within melee range of an adversary and immediately make an attack against them, gain a plus one bonus to the attack roll, which I can't do because I don't have a melee weapon. However, I will just bustle over there.
[01:14:28] Speaker F: If you hold both the talons by the ankles, does he become like a.
[01:14:32] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean we already know he's
[01:14:37] Speaker F: hard as nails, so literally harder than metal.
[01:14:45] Speaker D: So. Yeah. And then I will.
[01:14:55] Speaker A: Forcing with hope. Unfortunately that does not.
[01:14:57] Speaker D: And it will miss by one.
[01:15:00] Speaker A: As the arrow you. I'm guessing you're shooting from your shotgun. Yeah, as the arrow that you shoot from your shotgun goes and it just literally just flies straight through the spectral being.
[01:15:10] Speaker D: He's. He. He did a sprint. He forgot how old he was for half a second and he arrived like
[01:15:14] Speaker B: so out of breath.
Stitch.
[01:15:20] Speaker D: Yeah, just his knees like.
[01:15:23] Speaker A: Because you missed this turn. Because you missed this go. I am going to spend a fear.
And as the.
As the five of you are sort of clocking into try and defeat these.
These creatures that you have been up against before.
Another familiar figure comes out of the shadows as the large.
That's the large axe Daddy shadow ax wielding being also approaches out of the woods as well.
And give me.
And there's a. Let's see. Let's go with.
[01:16:22] Speaker F: You've called the countdown. I'll never tell.
[01:16:25] Speaker A: Yeah.
And as far as. I think I wanted to make that an 8.
Oh yeah, there we go.
And so a secret countdown has started.
[01:16:45] Speaker B: Oh, secret.
[01:16:49] Speaker A: And we'll find out what that could possibly be in the next episode.
