Why don't we head on into the intro and find out what where our adventurers were left last episode. [00:02:40] Speaker B: Hello, I'm Julia and I play Lucretia, a Laurovar wizard. [00:02:46] Speaker E: Hi, my name is Theo and I'll be playing Pally, a wolfkin seraph. [00:02:53] Speaker F: Hi, I'm Georgia and I'll be playing Vergil, a Sangravar ranger. [00:02:59] Speaker D: Hi, my name is DM Dan and I'm playing Myrdden, a Wolfkin guardian druid. [00:03:06] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Livy and I'll be playing Beau, the dragon scent warrior. [00:03:12] Speaker A: And my name is Nate, and I'll be the GM for this adventure. So where we left the five of you, you have. You have. You've traversed through this sort of magical world of pinks and blues and colors, high saturated leaves and flowers. You've crossed over sort of impossibly, sort of like defying rivers that you weren't completely sure. Like, it looked like a natural river that you could cross over. But some of you struggled a bit, some of you tasted the water and had wonderful times, and some of you didn't. So it's definitely that you can definitely get the feeling that this world is either either enlightening you or really annoying you. And I'm looking at you, But you've been. You've been led through this forest, through this new little robot automaton that you found, who you know as explorer. And he has taken you to a farm called. Called Aldous's farm, which seems to be on the outskirts of. It's quite dark now, and so you can't really see many of these of the other houses, but you can definitely have seen Aldous's farm. You've met his grandfather, who you believe called Tuckus, who told you where Aldous was. And Aldous, you've met and found out that he's not like other keepers. He just happens to be like a. Like a centaur, basically, if. If the world of Elsewhere knew what centaurs were. So he has a horse body for a body. He has four legs, which is very new to the lot of you. But he also has, like, he's very unnatural colors for horses. He's more like sort of mauves and pinks and Burgundies, which is very unusual colors for horses, unless they're like, dyed in some sort of magical way. Back in Elsewhere, both him and his grandfather were very interested about you, especially that. The fact that you said that you do not come from sanctuary. You. You're new here. You. You don't know where you are. You're lost. And the both of them have told you, well, majority Aldas as well. Aldous has told you that that can't be a thing because everybody knows everyone in Sanctuary. So the five of you find yourselves in. In his. In Aldous's farmhouse, where you first met Tuckus. [00:06:29] Speaker D: You're. [00:06:29] Speaker A: You're situated around sort of like this very humble, like, little table, this kitchen table. It's obviously not been made for, like, groups of people to be gathered around it, so it is a bit of a squeeze, but it's not like the place isn't roomy because obviously it needs to make room for Aldous. It needs to make room for his giant horse body that's walking through the kitchen. So you can definitely tell that there have been some alterations to this house. Like, you're not completely sure whether or not. Whether or not Aldous has always been. Because these. These sort of refurbishments around him don't look new new, but they don't look aged. They don't look that they were originally there. They look like they've been built in these sort of. This sort of accessibility for Aldous's sort of, like, large butt, basically. [00:07:32] Speaker B: His tuckers, [00:07:40] Speaker A: Tucker says, has been good to his word. And he is made. He's put the kettle on and he's made you all sort of like this. This kind of brightly. Sort of like this brightly, like, sparkling kind of like orange juice. That. That he says is tea, but it looks hot, it looks inviting, it smells great. And he pops down. He pops down like a. A teapot in the middle of the. At the middle of the table. And he gets out, like, as many cups as. As he can, but it's obvious that they're not used to, like, this many guests. So he. He kind of just, like, he gets as many cups down as he can, but then he kind of gets some bowls and. And this, and a saucer, because he doesn't really have that many receptacles to put that. That much amount of tea in there. And he's being the good guest. He's. He's kind of like. He's kind of feeling the cups because you kind of surmise that he's blind, or at least hard of sight, and he's sort of feeling the cups and he's like, oh, yeah, that's a good one. And he puts it to the side. No, that's a ball. And he sort of puts it closer to him, as in. As if he's going to drink out of the bowl and obviously give you the nice. The nice crockery. And Aldous is. Is sort of sitting there in the. At this kitchen. He's kind of like. He's not sitting on a chair per se. He's sort of like. He's got his sort of back end on a chair and then is sort of sitting with his front legs on the floor [00:09:21] Speaker C: sofa, and they're just kind [00:09:22] Speaker A: of half on, half off. And this chair has been made for him and he. Aldous, is just sort of, like, looking like a lot of you have been quite quiet as you've all just been kind of like. Just been hearing Tucker sort of like mutter away. Just kind of getting all the crockery out and everything. And he's also got like out some biscuits and he sort of put them down. And Aldous is sort of just. He's looking the lot of you and he's. You can tell he's just sort of thinking like he's really confused about this whole situation. Is the. [00:10:07] Speaker C: As we're inside the cottage now. Yeah. Is it as if it was built for keepers in mind? Is everything quite large? [00:10:16] Speaker A: Yeah, everything's quite large. So it definitely looks like it was built for keepers in mind. [00:10:20] Speaker C: Okay. Yeah, yeah. Interesting. We all kind of sit around table. Yeah. Does she. [00:10:29] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:10:34] Speaker C: Think. [00:10:38] Speaker B: Yes, Dan. [00:10:39] Speaker A: Yes, Dan [00:10:42] Speaker D: Maiden's kind of watching this like old probably blind man fumble through the cupboards and his, his attention is kind of going from Tuscany to Alis. Alis Aldis like backwards and forwards and then kind of looking around cuz this small, small cottage is kind of reminding him of home. But like he's picking up on the alterations of maids to fit this horse bodied keeper. And he sort of like says to the space in between them. So I assume that you've been here for quite some time if you've had the opportunities to renovate. [00:11:36] Speaker A: Aldous Tucker's is sort of busy minding his own business and Aldous kind of goes like, well, yeah, this was. This is my. This is my family home. I was born here. [00:11:49] Speaker D: And how long has that been? [00:11:52] Speaker A: Well, I don't know when my father built this, but I've lived here all my life. I'm 26 now. [00:12:09] Speaker D: That's a curious form that you've got there. Are you blessed by a world spirit perhaps? [00:12:18] Speaker A: He looks at you. A world spirit. What's, what's one of those. [00:12:27] Speaker D: Mirden goes to say something and like. Like his mouth just kind of open a little bit and then he sort of like side glances the other four of us. Perhaps you know them by a different name, primal entities. [00:12:47] Speaker A: No, I mean, I mean my body, if you're talking about my body. This was, this was my gift. This was my gift from the Princess. [00:12:56] Speaker B: Yes. [00:12:57] Speaker F: You have mentioned the princess before. Is she. Who is that exactly? [00:13:03] Speaker A: Well, she, she as far as I'm aware. Like I'm really sorry. All I know from what I've been told by you know, people before, you know, Elsewhere was ruptured like the old Elsewhere. The Princess built sanctuary. She made sanctuary and she, she saved. She saved the. The people who live here. [00:13:33] Speaker B: And how long ago was that according to the histories of this place. [00:13:37] Speaker A: Well, as I said, I think, I think that was about, I don't know, 30 years ago or so. [00:13:45] Speaker B: Interesting. [00:13:46] Speaker A: And she starts making notes as, as you make notes, Lucretia more you probably. But the rest of you would know as well, like the word sort of like princess is not common in elsewhere. Even before the eschaton, even before the war, like that. Like probably once upon a time there were kings, queens, princes, princesses, that sort of very monarch sort of like talk that, that we know is royalty. But nowadays, even before the war, that is more relegated to like fairy tales. Like you more know about, you know, there's, you know, there's people in high houses. They're the ace of our high houses, which are probably the closest linked to any sort of like royal family in a way. So the fact that he's saying this is, this was my gift from the princess almost seems quite childlike to you. [00:14:50] Speaker D: And this, this princess, so as far as you know, she, she predates this new elsewhere. She is the creator. Do we, do you see her often? Is she one with the people? [00:15:05] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, we, we see her, you know, she'll, she'll come down, she'll come down from the castle and she'll. And she'll, you know, bless us with the world that we have, like the land that we have now. [00:15:22] Speaker C: And she gives everyone horse legs. [00:15:26] Speaker A: He sort of, HE CHUCKLES TO HIMSELF and he says, like, as far as I'm aware, I'm the only one who was given this body. I said, I just really like horses. And she blessed me with horse legs. I must admit it. I didn't think about it because I was, I was blessed with these when I was a boy. But like, it has its, you know, it has its perks. It's. It has its downfalls, which I didn't think that would affect me as a, as a, as a grown man. But it's. You just live with the gifts that you've been given. [00:16:07] Speaker B: And what other sorts of gifts have the people of sanctuary received from this princess? [00:16:14] Speaker A: Well, I mean, it depends on who you're asking. She'll. If, if, you know, if we abide by being good citizens in the world, you know, she'll provide us with different food, she'll provide us with good weather, she'll provide us with safety. She'll provide us with magic that will, you know, enhance and he looks at, explore. He goes like, like explorer, chill. She'll imbued like little robots like these to, to help protect us and to, to Wander the forest so we don't have to. It's, it's, it's. I, I do apologize. Like, this is really strange for me to talk about. Like, I, I. It's weird when you feel like everyone knows about it and he sort of kind of taps on the. That's. And he's just like, he's like, grandpappy, you, you know more about before Sanctuary. Can you, can you help in any way? Ntukka sorts of turns round and he's just like, well, my, my, my, My mind's fuzzy a lot of the time about it, but basically we were we. When the world went to asunder, when Elsewhere was, was ripped in two, we. We just found ourselves in a void, like a black, big black hole. And, and then we, we found ourselves in meadows, brightly colored meadows. And it, it took a while, took a while for us to, you know, sort of find our way and find our space in. But the Princess was there from the very beginning, and she, and she was confused herself. She didn't know what was going on. But she gave us food, she gave us shelter, she gave us sanctuary. And that's all we've ever. That's just how we've known the world ever since. [00:18:28] Speaker F: Might I ask, inquire, before you found yourselves in these bright lit meadows that you describe, did you encounter strange shadow, like children? [00:18:45] Speaker A: Tucker, sort of. He sort of thinks. And Aldous sort of, kind of goes like, shadow children? [00:18:52] Speaker F: Yes. [00:18:53] Speaker A: No, not children. We know about the shadow swords, but we don't know about any shadow children. [00:19:03] Speaker F: Shadow swords do elaborate. [00:19:07] Speaker A: Yeah, well, when we don't wander outside into the woods, especially at night, that's when they, they're about. We try our best to sort of like, this is one of the protections that we have. We like, we're, we're protected here from those shadows that also turned up, apparently, when Elsweyr was ruptured. [00:19:38] Speaker C: So when you came here originally, was it all one village that got taken, or [00:19:50] Speaker A: Alde. Sort of, kind of. You can tell that Aldous doesn't really know. And he looks to his grandfather and Tucker goes, you see, my, my man's bit fuzzy. I, I was, I was an Orian old man before we came here. And he looks at Alde. Well, he doesn't look at Aldous. He sort of points his face towards Aldous and he kind of goes, why don't you, why don't you go take them to see Kelvin? Go and take him to see the sheriff. He'll. He'll have an idea. He, He's A. He's much younger than I am, and he was there. He was there when it all happened. And eldest sort of looks at his grandfather and he. And he nods and he goes, yeah, Kelphin. Kelphin will know what to do, especially if you're new, if. If you're not from around here. And he sort of smiles and he goes, I didn't think I'd ever say that, but, yeah, Kelphin might be a good. Good call. [00:20:57] Speaker B: Can I just check at Nate? Who. Who did he say? Kelphin. [00:21:02] Speaker A: Kelphin is the sheriff. [00:21:03] Speaker B: Sheriff. Lovely. Okay. [00:21:06] Speaker C: I don't like those. [00:21:10] Speaker F: I'm expecting, like, a big. [00:21:11] Speaker B: At least he's not mayor. [00:21:14] Speaker C: Not a mayor? Yeah. I mean, mayors are useless. [00:21:19] Speaker B: Mayors are useless. Sheriffs are a problem. [00:21:21] Speaker A: Sheriffs are a problem. [00:21:23] Speaker C: Useless. [00:21:24] Speaker B: Maybe this. [00:21:24] Speaker F: This is where all the good mayors went in. Elsewhere. Maybe. [00:21:35] Speaker C: The roads are just perfectly sort of maintained. [00:21:39] Speaker B: No potholes whatsoever. [00:21:42] Speaker F: No bandits. [00:21:45] Speaker C: Brilliant. Heaven on earth. [00:21:52] Speaker D: Before we go, just you. [00:21:55] Speaker C: You. [00:21:57] Speaker D: It sounds like you know everybody that lives in Sanctuary. [00:22:02] Speaker A: I. I mean, yeah. [00:22:05] Speaker D: How many are there here? [00:22:10] Speaker A: Aldous sort of thinks. And Tucker's kind of thinks as well, and he's like, maybe about. I'll give or take about 600 of us. [00:22:24] Speaker C: Don't you know all of them? [00:22:27] Speaker A: Well, you know them by face. You don't. Well, I don't. I'm blind, but [00:22:32] Speaker D: I don't watch Snell, [00:22:35] Speaker A: but I know I know them. Vast mill. And now this sort of nods and he goes, like, yeah, like, obviously we don't know intimately about one another, but, you know, we. We know faces. We see faces. We celebrate together, we mourn together. We. We've had to become a community. And obviously, like, it wasn't. As far as I'm aware, It wasn't originally 1600. Like 600. Who came. Like. Like, I was born here and many of my friends were born here. [00:23:11] Speaker D: And you. You mentioned that you don't venture out at night for. So you don't risk running into these shadow swords. [00:23:21] Speaker A: Well, at least not into the forest. Anyway. We. We steer clear. [00:23:26] Speaker D: But do these shadow swords ever venture out of the forests? [00:23:32] Speaker A: No. And that's because of the Princess. The princess protects us. [00:23:37] Speaker D: I see. [00:23:39] Speaker C: How old's this princess? Young. [00:23:43] Speaker A: She's. She's young. [00:23:46] Speaker D: She's single. [00:23:51] Speaker E: Sort. [00:23:52] Speaker A: Aldis sort of. Kind of goes a little bit, like, you don't know why, but he sort of just scrunches up his face a bit and kind of goes, no, maybe, Maybe not. She might be too young for that. [00:24:07] Speaker C: Wait, how. How old is she. [00:24:10] Speaker A: Well, she's. Well, she's immortal. But she looks like. She looks only just like a young girl. [00:24:21] Speaker B: Sorry, Immortal you say? [00:24:24] Speaker A: Well, she's as far as I'm aware and as far as grandfather is aware, like she's been her age since. For the. For the last 30 years. [00:24:37] Speaker B: Okay. Interesting. Lucretia starts to think about all the conditions that could make one not age in 30 years. What are they? What kind of thing? DM Dan and Nathan. [00:24:51] Speaker A: You don't know on. [00:24:52] Speaker B: On Elsewhere. I really don't know. There's no. There's no examples of long lived races or anything like that. [00:25:02] Speaker A: Yeah. Besides from goblins, I mean. No. And that's above board. So. I mean as. As Dan has said, like the. The longest living races are probably goblins. [00:25:18] Speaker B: Right. [00:25:20] Speaker A: But they would still. They would shrivel up like a little prune. [00:25:23] Speaker F: So we've all seen. Yeah. [00:25:29] Speaker B: So that's. [00:25:29] Speaker D: That's. [00:25:30] Speaker B: So that's not common based. [00:25:33] Speaker A: Yes, that is very uncommon. That's like one of us saying in the real world, like I know someone who, who looks like they have been 10 years old for 30 years. [00:25:45] Speaker B: There's no like just amazing elsewhere. [00:25:48] Speaker A: I mean there is. But you. One, you don't know anything about them probably. And two, vampires probably don't work like that in Elsewhere. [00:25:57] Speaker F: Dan, that's Empire stuff that we're not privy to. [00:26:00] Speaker B: We are characters. [00:26:02] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:26:02] Speaker B: Cool. Okay, so I think Lucretia would be highly fascinated by this claim that the princess is immortal or very long lived for some reason. [00:26:12] Speaker C: And she. Is she a keeper like you guys or. [00:26:16] Speaker A: Oh no, she's. She's an ace of our. [00:26:23] Speaker D: Well. And I say this sort of like slightly side eyeing Lucretia because I'm guessing Lucretia just looks a bit like. Oh at this. Like it starts with this like a side glance and then looking back to Aldous and Tucker. Well, I'm sure it will be fascinating when we do get to meet her. I must say it sounds awfully like a fairy tale my daughter would read or write. [00:26:58] Speaker A: Can I. I mean, you've asked me a lot of questions. Can I ask you some questions? Like where. Where have you come from? Like. Like, like, like what? What? What? Where have you. Who are you? That probably should have been my first question, but you can understand I've been a little bit bamboozled. [00:27:26] Speaker E: That's okay, friends, we can share. We. And I think Pali will very honestly explain that we are who we are. Like very basically where we've come from. That we were in Falstrom, which was A village. We were helping out there. Like painting this picture of we are good, supportive people that we were. So then, you know, these two don't think we're like trying to scam them or anything in this moment, just so he can see like, like that we're, we're. I don't know, we're not trying to pull the wall over his eyes. Trying to give as much information as possible so he feels like he's getting as much as we're giving back. And I think Pali has the charisma to do that in a very like, [00:28:15] Speaker F: wide eyed puppy look of a man who cannot tell a lie. [00:28:19] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:28:19] Speaker E: I mean, he is also younger than Aldous, so he will probably come across. Well, I think not too much younger, but young enough. [00:28:26] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:28:28] Speaker E: We were helping this place called Falstrom. There were some issues going on. And then we found these. We think they must be the same thing. They're shadow swords. And we also found a black void and ended up here. So I don't know how we're here, but any questions you have about where we're from, we can happily answer as much as we can. [00:28:52] Speaker A: So it sounds. Sounds like you're like from. I mean, I don't know the word for it, but some. Some other like, world. You're from some other world. [00:29:02] Speaker E: I mean, I mean, we would consider it elsewhere. That's what. I know it sounds weird from what you've told us, but we are from elsewhere. [00:29:13] Speaker A: We've. [00:29:14] Speaker E: We are explorers in elsewhere. I think we are just as confused as you are about the whole thing. [00:29:20] Speaker A: So you don't, you don't have. You don't have explorer robots. You take on the job of explorer robots. [00:29:28] Speaker E: Fashion, I guess. We help people. We explore myself and Lucretia in Mirrodan. That's kind of our role back at home, [00:29:41] Speaker B: Aldous, in case it helps you. Sorry, Bo, you go ahead. [00:29:47] Speaker C: No, no, it's just like all these guys. Explorers, not Bo. [00:29:55] Speaker A: Well, [00:30:00] Speaker B: Is he wrong? There are explorers and Bo is also occasionally there. [00:30:05] Speaker A: Bo is also here [00:30:08] Speaker B: following his own [00:30:09] Speaker E: agenda, I think in character that happened. I think Paddy goes completely, like, red with, like, embarrassment, of course. Beau, of course, like, makes a big show. A bit like, sorry. But yes, we do help. [00:30:22] Speaker B: And yeah. Lucretia pipes up, Aldous, it might help to think of elsewhere a little bit like a plate which got dropped and smashed on the floor. Some of the pieces landed very close together. Together and were stayed together and could be. Could be rejoined. But then some of the pieces flew to far corners of the kitchen. Now, some of them have come back already, but it sounds as if Sanctuary was a piece that got perhaps lost under the sideboard. [00:30:55] Speaker A: Aldous, sort of. He really thinks on this analogy that you've given him, and he's all right. Wow. Well, I'm not. I'll be honest. You blew my mind. [00:31:08] Speaker B: Oh, I'm sorry. [00:31:10] Speaker A: No, it's just the fact that there. There's. There's. There's more. There's more than Sanctuary that. Wow. Maybe we should go and see Kelphin. He'll. He'll be able to. He'll be able to give you more information. He was there. And I think also it'd be. It would be good that you just meet him anyway. Like, he'll know what to do. He'll know what. Because I'm. I'll be honest. I wouldn't be surprised if, you know, five strangers turn up. That. That's gonna cause quite a stir in Sanctuary. We've not had outsiders for, well, ever. And I. I don't want to get you. You seem on like nice folk, and I don't want to get you in trouble or anything. [00:32:07] Speaker E: We really appreciate that. We'd love to talk to Kelvin and see what we can do. [00:32:16] Speaker A: Let's. If you've. If you're finished. If you're warmed up and you finished your tea, we can. We can head on out now if you want. [00:32:25] Speaker E: By the way, in character. What's the tea like? Like, when we taste it? What is it? Does it taste like tea that we're expecting, or does it taste weird or. [00:32:33] Speaker A: It's. It's. It's a very straight. Like. It's a very odd taste. It's quite sweet. It's a lot more sweeter than you sort of expect, like us, just sort of like a herbal tea to be. It's almost like a mixture for sort of like above the board, sort of like flavors. It almost tastes like a mix between sort of like a grapefruit and then like popping candy at the same time. Sort of just like very sweet popping candy, but you don't have that popping going on. It's obviously not a. From any sort of tea that, you know back in elsewhere. But you're. You can. Yeah, the. The flavors are. Take some acclimatizing, too, to think, like, have they just put, like, tons of sugar in this. But. No, it's just. It's just. [00:33:24] Speaker B: It's interesting, almost like what a child might imagine tea tasting like. [00:33:30] Speaker A: Is that what Julia's saying or the creature saying? [00:33:32] Speaker B: Very much. Julia. [00:33:33] Speaker F: Yeah. I Was thinking that seems like a. Like a tea party, like with all your dolls kind of beverage. [00:33:39] Speaker B: You've got Fanta in some cups. [00:33:41] Speaker A: Yeah, Fanta and mud. [00:33:48] Speaker B: No, this is intriguing. I like it. [00:33:52] Speaker A: So, yeah, if there's nothing else that you want to ask, Aldous is quite happy to take you through to town and take you to Calphen. [00:34:03] Speaker E: Good. [00:34:03] Speaker F: Good idea. [00:34:05] Speaker E: What kind of time is it? Is it like, are we close to sleep time? Or is it more like. How do you feel about approaching the town at night? [00:34:16] Speaker A: Hang on a second. Just one second. My phone has just randomly started to play Instagram. [00:34:26] Speaker F: Where did that come from? [00:34:28] Speaker B: Did it think you'd given it a voice command or something? [00:34:33] Speaker A: What the was that all about? [00:34:34] Speaker B: Jesus, don't cut this out, Dan. [00:34:38] Speaker A: My phone just suddenly started to play Instagram reels, but not like, on. It was just like. It's just charging. And then suddenly I just heard the sound coming out. No, none of that scared me. It's like a Furby coming back to life. [00:34:53] Speaker B: Kill it [00:34:56] Speaker E: for editing purposes. I'll ask again. What kind of time of day is it? Like, is it closer to nighttime? [00:35:02] Speaker A: It's definitely night time now. You've probably been here. You've probably been chatting with Aldous and Tuckers for about an hour, an hour and a half, and just having some tea and just sort of resting up from your relatively longish walk. So, yeah, it's probably, like, not. You're not. Look. You're looking at, like, 8 o' clock in the evening, 9 o' clock in the evening sort of time. And he's. He kind of says, well, we'll see if. We'll see if they're. We'll see if he's still in the office. He still see if he's there. If not, we might be able to find him somewhere else. [00:35:42] Speaker B: We agree and go, cool. [00:35:45] Speaker A: So Tucker, sort of, while he's clearing up, he sort of waves you goodbye and he says, I'll. I'll. I'll be here if you need me. And he just sort of cleaning up. Well, and he kind of. He kind of gives, like, a really cheeky smile and he's just like, I guess, welcome. Welcome to sanctuary. And Aldous sort of lead you out, and he's maneuvers his body out of the way and you find yourselves following him sort of past the farm. And he says, like, it's. It's not much of a walk. It's probably, you know, good. Probably about 10 minutes or so to get into town. We're one of the, you know, we're one of the only farms sort of like around here and we produce most of the crops I guess for the area. But you'll. Yeah. Come on. It's nice. I don't know what your place is like. Is it nice? [00:36:46] Speaker B: Parts of it, yes. [00:36:48] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:36:49] Speaker A: Part, Any, any. Again, sort of like you can see that his mind is a little bit blown by just hearing parts of it tonight. [00:36:55] Speaker F: He's like what is, what is a part? [00:36:57] Speaker A: What is a part? It's just like oh yeah, we've. We've got a couple of houses that, that get a bit of a ruckus from time to time. And so you follow him down like this long pathway and like the stars are out. A beautiful big moon. You could probably kind of tell that like that it may feel like that it's always like this, like it's always starry nights, that it's always a full moon and that it's. And that there's no wind, there's nothing that sort of like feels cold about the air at all. It doesn't feel like a normal. Because even on a sunny night like you'll feel like a little bit of a chill as obviously the sun's gone away. But tonight it's just. There's nothing. It feels as warm as it did in the daytime. And you. And he's sort of taking you down like this dirt track that obviously you can tell that probably carries sort of cargo from his farm into town. And it doesn't take very long for you to see a bunch of houses sort of appear over the horizon. Very humbly made houses of different sizes but nothing like too grandeur, nothing like massively big or anything. It's seems like a couple of houses, a few shops and this spans into the town which you can only gauge as sanctuary basically. And it doesn't like, you don't see much difference from what like a simple town near Avermore would look like besides from the fact that probably some of the tiles are like unnaturally colored, like they're green and the building is blue or there's. There's pictures sort of like up on the walls. So while it looks, it's. It's a weird mishmash of like very childish sort of ideas of what a house looks like. But then an adult has taken that and actually made it into a proper house and alde sort of guide you through and he's. You can feel him starting to get quite nervous because there's still sort of people out and about and there's. And it's Very. It's very quaint. Like, there's probably some of you are more used. Used to. More like the rougher side of towns, especially probably you, Bo. You're probably more used to seeing people having fights in alleyways and people being drunk and. But none of that seems to be happening. It's very quaint. People are just sort of like, closing up shop. They're taking an evening walk. But you can definitely tell that people sort of wave to Aldous. They sort of say good evening to him, but then they look at the rest of you and. And probably one person that they're looking more at is Beau. Like, they're. They're bow. More usually than what you expect from people. You know, you're a small dragon sense. That's fairly uncommon anyway. But people are looking at you as if, like. Like. Like they've seen ghosts or they've seen just the weirdest thing ever. And they. They do sort of, like, quickly. They don't quite know what to do with themselves, and they just quickly keep on moving forward as if to question themselves that they've seen something weird. And Aldous sort of turns around to the back of you, turns around to the lot of you and says, like, I. As I said, like, people are gonna. People are not gonna know you. I don't know how they're gonna react. I feel like we just need to. [00:41:05] Speaker D: I wouldn't worry. Bo has that effect on most townsfolk. [00:41:11] Speaker A: Oh, you. You don't have many. You don't have many dragon scents yourself. [00:41:18] Speaker C: So you. You've got some around, then. I don't know why they're looking at me like I'm sort of. Kind of strange creature here. I'm just like a. I mean. [00:41:27] Speaker A: I mean, we've got. We've got. We've got Fletcher, we've got Tobias, and we've got Conway, but that's about it. Those are the only, like, who I know is. Well, I mean, we've got Fenway as well, but I. I'll just kind of goes. I don't know if he counts. [00:41:53] Speaker B: Why wouldn't he count? [00:41:55] Speaker A: Oh, that's not for me to say. I. I think it's rude if I say he's a bit. He's a bit. [00:42:04] Speaker F: He's just a lizard. [00:42:07] Speaker A: Just a small salamander. Good evening. So cute. [00:42:17] Speaker C: A gift for the princess. [00:42:23] Speaker E: Sorry, Nate, can I. Name checks. We have Finway, Fletcher, Tobias, and what was the other dragon sensor? [00:42:29] Speaker A: Was it Conway? [00:42:32] Speaker D: Yeah, exactly. But one of them is just a salamander, is a little Gecko. [00:42:36] Speaker E: Top hat. Yeah. I put asterisk next to Finway to be like who knows? Who knows? [00:42:43] Speaker C: It could be half dragon scent, half [00:42:45] Speaker E: horse, half what gifts has spin weight being given that makes him not a dragon scent anymore. [00:42:57] Speaker A: Yeah, Aldous sort of kind of goes that's, that's not for me to say. I'm sorry. He's a little bit shy about it and like he'll. [00:43:07] Speaker F: You. [00:43:07] Speaker A: You might meet him. I don't know. But yeah, let, let's talk to, to Calvin first. He'll. He'll be. He'll be able to. To give us more information. And so he, he takes you to this building, this very sort of like humble looking little building that you can only surmise is probably the sheriff's office. And he, he knocks on the door and he is kind of going like Kelvin, Sheriff Kelvin, are you in? And the, the you hear a voice just kind of going oh, oh, let yourself in, let yourself in. It's quite alright. And Alde sort of walks in trying to. Obviously you can see that none of the other buildings have been made for like his giant body. So he really has to sort of like, sort of kind of tuck in. But he mostly sort of just like peers his head around the door cuz you can tell that this sheriff's office hasn't been made for him. And he's just like oh, I'm. I'm really sorry to intrude. It's. It's just. I was, I was, I was looking for Kelphin. Is he, is he around? Who? Does anyone else look right around the door? [00:44:30] Speaker B: I think we all do. The, [00:44:40] Speaker A: As the five of you sort of peer your head around to, to hopefully sort of meet this Kelvin, you notice that actually standing in there in this building is like another automaton. But it doesn't look like explorers. It looks like a humanoid automaton. It's got almost what we would know is like a big bobby hat. Like a police officer bobby hat. It's got this huge mustache. It's got no. It's got sort of no eyes. It's almost like a. What we would know is like a visor sort of like around its eyes. But it looks, it's got like a big nose and a proper sort of almost like old school Bobby sort of outfit as we would know sort of like in the real world, sort of like a bobby outfit. But what jostles you the most is the fact that he has no legs and he's just sort of kind of rolling on us on this big golden Sphere on this big brass sphere that sort of keeps him up. Not like a Weeble, a little bit like a Weeble, but not like a Weeble. [00:45:53] Speaker C: Police Weeble. [00:45:56] Speaker A: His name is Police. Police Officer Weeble. [00:46:04] Speaker B: So he's not. [00:46:05] Speaker A: He's not doing that like a Weeble. He's like the. The. The sphere, this. This ball. This brass ball that he's sort of like spinning on is obviously the thing that sort of is doing his projectory and his movement around, like, so this ball is just almost like two separate entities. And he's sort of skimming around the office, and he's just like. He's just like, oh. Oh, Aldous. Very nice. Very nice to see you, son. Oh. Are you keeping well? Are you keeping good? Have you. Have you got any. Have you got any problems? Is there any wrongdoings going on in this town? Not on my watch. Not while I'm in. Not while I'm here. And I'll just sort of. He just kind of goes like, no, no, no, Officer. No, Officer. No. It's. I was just looking for Calphin. I'm hoping that he can. He can help us with something. And he hasn't given him a name. He's just named him. He's just said, officer. Officer has sort of. Kind of turned around after his busy body, sort of like around this. This building. And he looks at the five of you and he goes, have you. Have you five got anything to report? I don't know your names. Can you spit your names for me, please? [00:47:30] Speaker B: Name? [00:47:31] Speaker A: Name? Yes. Can you search on names for me? [00:47:36] Speaker C: I don't think you have any right to know my name. I'm. [00:47:38] Speaker A: I'm not. [00:47:39] Speaker C: I plead the Fifth. [00:47:41] Speaker B: His name's Beauregard. My name is Lucretia Ralph. And not to be rude, but what are you. [00:47:49] Speaker A: Oh, all right. I'm Officer. I'm Officer. I am here to protect the. Protect the peace and report on any wrongdoings. Though obviously Sanctuary is. [00:48:04] Speaker E: Is. [00:48:04] Speaker A: Is a safety of delinquent safety. So very rarely does anything like that happen. But you already know that is probably due to good citizens like you reporting any wrongdoings. I mean, the other day, some children nicked over a fence. Oh, it was a terrible, terrible show. [00:48:26] Speaker B: Yes. Villains, those young people. And as she sort of gestures for the others to. [00:48:32] Speaker C: Is there any notable. Does he have weapons on him? Does he look like. No, he is a weapon. Yeah. Yeah, he is the weapon. I was gonna say, do they even have. Like, if I'm looking around the office, is it just a. Is this just the reception. [00:48:45] Speaker A: This is. This is the whole. Oh, there's no. There's no, like, jail bars or anything like that, which is really weird for you, Bo. You've. You've had a couple of times. So this. It looks like it's the reception. Reception area and the holding cells, but there are no holding cells whatsoever. And, like, no doors. No doors. Like, it literally looks. You're looking around, kind of going, like, where do they keep them? Where do they keep the criminal if it's not here? [00:49:14] Speaker B: No crime in sanctuary. Interesting. [00:49:20] Speaker C: We don't really have. We've seen automatons, but we. Not like. Not like this. [00:49:25] Speaker A: Not like this. [00:49:26] Speaker C: Not like this. Yeah. Yeah. Interesting. [00:49:32] Speaker A: Aldous sort of goes, well, do you. I'm guessing he's. He's done for the day. Can you. Do you know where he will. Where he'll be? And Officer sort of just wanders around. He's just like, oh, well, you. You'll be able to find him in. You'll be able to find him in the Lazy Dog. He'll be. He'll be over there. You'll be able to find him there. And he's busy. Sort of just like. Sort of clean, basically. Just cleaning. [00:49:59] Speaker C: Nothing better to do. Yeah. [00:50:00] Speaker A: Nothing better to [00:50:04] Speaker C: what? Lazy Dog, you say? Is that. Is that kind of. That a tavern? Alcohol. [00:50:11] Speaker A: Aldous sort of, like, looks at you and he goes, you know about alcohol? [00:50:18] Speaker C: Why wouldn't we know about alcohol? [00:50:21] Speaker A: Well, I don't know what you know about. [00:50:25] Speaker C: Well, I know about alcohol, that's for sure. [00:50:27] Speaker A: Oh, well, I mean, we've got alcohol. [00:50:32] Speaker C: You got scotch? You got. [00:50:34] Speaker A: Yeah, we've got that. Haven't you? Please tell me that where you come from, still has beer. [00:50:42] Speaker C: We got beer. [00:50:44] Speaker A: Oh, thank goodness. [00:50:47] Speaker C: I'm surprised. It just seems like you might be the kind of place that wouldn't have, you know, be teetotaling. Good. Good. [00:50:57] Speaker A: Well, I mean, some people still gotta let loose from time to time. Yeah. So we'll. We'll. We'll head over to the Lazy Dog. Thank you, officer. An officer just kind of goes, yes, yes, yes. Off you go. Off you go. Be good citizens. Aldous sort of, like, closes the door behind you, and he says, like, that's where you've met the explorer bots. That's Officer. Like, there's a couple of officers sort of, like, around here, and they, you know, they protect sort of like the. The people in sanctuary. They. They do the jobs that, you know, so, like, they look after us. It was one of the. One of the things that the Princess gave to us. [00:51:52] Speaker D: And has the Princess ever explained how these automatons came to be? They seem remarkably advanced. [00:52:06] Speaker A: Well, that may be something that. That Lainey can tell you about. Lainey makes the robots. Lainey makes the robots. And. [00:52:16] Speaker E: And. [00:52:16] Speaker A: And then the Princess blesses them and then they come alive. [00:52:26] Speaker C: And is lainey also a 10 year old girl? [00:52:30] Speaker A: He laughs and he goes, no, no. Lainey's around about the same age as me. [00:52:38] Speaker D: So Lainey creates these. These things and then life is supplanted into them by the princess. [00:52:52] Speaker A: Yeah. How do you get your robots to work? [00:52:56] Speaker D: Well, yes, quite. And could we assume that this is the same process that brings the overly large, plushy keeper bears that rope the forests. [00:53:16] Speaker A: Aldous, as you mention this, Aldous looks at you like. Like the sort of. The. The joyful sort of. Not joy. Well, not joyful, but the kind of like happy nervousness that you. He's had around you for the time being sort of like shoots down. And he kind of. You can see that that's something that he does not want to talk about. And he's like, let's. Let's. Let's get you to Kelphon. [00:53:44] Speaker D: I look at the others as if to say, what did I do? What did I say? What have I. [00:53:55] Speaker A: So you. I'll guess after Aldous, after that is a little bit quiet. And he. And he say, it's. It's not far. It's just down here. And he takes you to, again, sort of like another quaint little tavern that's. That still has its lights on. And he. He opens the door. This seems to be a little bit more spacious. It seems to be somewhere that he's able to get his body into it. And he comes in and sort of like. Sort of like wanders in. Who's the first one to sort of enter? Or if anyone's. You know, who's going to be the first lot to sort of enter into this tavern? [00:54:43] Speaker D: Bo. [00:54:43] Speaker A: Right. [00:54:44] Speaker C: I can't wait to get in. After everything every. That Bo seen today, he really wants a scotch. This is. This is enough for one day, [00:54:57] Speaker A: Bo. As you. As you sort of like, pile in and you're just like, yes, I'm gonna. I'm gonna get myself a Scotch. You notice that the whole place is dead. Like no one else is there. And it's obvious that they're kind of like, shutting up shop. They started putting, like. And you're like, what time is this? And they've already started, like, putting tables on chairs. And Aldous, he. He Calls over to the bar, and he's just like. He's just like, rala, Rala. Oh, sorry. You. You closing up, Bo, because you're the first one in, and you hear Aldessa. [00:55:39] Speaker C: You. [00:55:40] Speaker A: You're just like. No one else is in here. Hopefully the bar's open. And you look at the bar, and at the bar, you only see, like, two figures. There's one person actually sitting at the bar. He's sort of like. Who's sort of like. Just more looking into his drink with. With a big sort of like duffel jacket over his. Over his shoulders, and then standing at the bar, and let's. Let's see if we can do this [00:56:08] Speaker E: one. [00:56:08] Speaker C: Dragon lady. [00:56:13] Speaker A: So, I'm sorry, Libby, you're gonna be. You're gonna be. Send image show to all. There we go. [00:56:21] Speaker B: That's not dragon. [00:56:22] Speaker A: That's not a dragon lady. That's not a dragon lady. I'm sorry, Libby. [00:56:26] Speaker F: One day, Libby, [00:56:31] Speaker A: you. You just see this sort of, like, fairly stocky, bolded, bearded dwarf. Not dwarf goblin. He looks like a dwarf, but you don't know what dwarfs are. Dwarf. You see this very stocky, bearded, and sort of receding hair goblin, sort of cleaning glasses. And it looked like he's sort of behind the bar, standing in front of this chap who's got his sort of, like, his body sort of lent over the bar. And he. He looks up at Aldas, and he's just like, well, I didn't expect to see you this evening. We're closing up. But if you want to. If you want to grab a drink, I can. I can give you one for the road. Who are you? And he. And probably being a tavern keeper, he probably knows a good majority of the people who live in sanctuary. And he looks at you like, who. Who are these folks? Who These. And I must get out of the American accents. That's not what I'm gonna do for Rhoda. Aldous just kind of goes like, oh, Ryler, these are. It's. It's hard to explain. They're not from just, like, around his leg. [00:57:55] Speaker C: You. [00:57:56] Speaker A: They're not. They're not from around here. Roller sort of looks really quite angry. He's just like, enough. Not from the traitor's camp, are they? And Aldous goes like, no, no, no. I don't. I don't think they are. I mean. And Roller just kind of goes like. You find. You find folk. You stay here for a bit. I'll just have a word with you over here. And Aldous sort of like, Pulls himself over with Rollo. And Rollo sort of like. Kind of as. As much as like, this large centaur keeper in this tiny goblin are trying to have, like, a quiet conversation. The five of you are sort of left alone with. With just this guy that slumped over the. Over the. Over the thing. Well, he's not slumped. He's awake. And he is just looking at his drink and just sort of like thumbing it. [00:58:59] Speaker C: Is there, like, bar stools? [00:59:01] Speaker A: There's bar stools, yeah. [00:59:02] Speaker C: But I'll just hop up on a bar stool next to him. It's like service around here is rubbish, isn't it? [00:59:08] Speaker A: When did you turn this away? It's bloody rubbish. [00:59:16] Speaker C: But not the new one. [00:59:18] Speaker A: I can't talk. I'm mixing accents. [00:59:21] Speaker C: The world is a plate. Lucretia said so. It's flat. No. [00:59:30] Speaker E: What have you done? [00:59:32] Speaker F: What have I done? [00:59:36] Speaker C: No. Yeah, I'll just sit up and just kind of like, sit, waiting for the guy to come back. Just like. [00:59:41] Speaker A: Come on. What are the rest of you doing? What? Virgil, what are you doing? [00:59:48] Speaker F: At the moment, I think he'll look with concern over his shoulder where the two have just left his eye. I believe we might have gotten the young man in trouble. [00:59:59] Speaker C: What. [01:00:00] Speaker B: What's this about a traitor's camp? [01:00:02] Speaker F: Yes. He didn't mention that. [01:00:05] Speaker C: Well, it sounds to me like. Oh, I've got Bristolian accent. [01:00:11] Speaker B: It's stuck. The wind has changed. [01:00:16] Speaker A: Cowboy. [01:00:20] Speaker B: Benoit blanc, [01:00:24] Speaker F: you need a touchstone that you can just say and switch. [01:00:28] Speaker B: I do declare. [01:00:38] Speaker C: Well, there we go. If I say. If I. There we go. It seems to be like it's. It's a camp full of traitors. [01:00:51] Speaker F: Yes. What is that? [01:00:56] Speaker A: And the. The chap who's sort of like. They're looking at his drink and he's just like. You could hear him just sort of [01:01:03] Speaker C: go [01:01:06] Speaker A: and look up at the. Look up at Yubo and go like, everyone knows about the traitor's camp. What are you. And then he looks at you a bit closer and he's just like. [01:01:20] Speaker D: I, Mirdin, will, like, take the space on the other side of this guy and humor us. I say, as I. Are there any bottles of, like, alcohol within reach from the bar? [01:01:35] Speaker A: Yeah, there is. There is a bottle of like, of this very bright purple drink sitting in front of this man. [01:01:44] Speaker D: Okay. [01:01:45] Speaker A: Who. As Murden, as you. As you're sitting down, you can see is this sort of, like, law of our man. He's got. Well, I'll send you a picture. This is obviously not the way he's sort of Looking at the moment, but show to everyone. He's. He's got like a. He's got like a brown sort of slick back hair, but it's slightly messy with gray ends in it. He's got a mustache that's also speckled with gray as well. And he looks pretty haggard. [01:02:22] Speaker C: Daddy. [01:02:24] Speaker B: Yeah, I was gonna say it depends. [01:02:27] Speaker D: So in which case, yeah, I'll stepping in on the other side of this guy to. To bow. Also enlighten us as I grab this bottle and five glasses and I'll pour four out. And then I'll pause for a moment and look at Pali, squint for a second and then pour the fifth. [01:02:52] Speaker C: He's old enough as. [01:02:54] Speaker A: As you've poured these drinks, this Laura Valman looks at you and he squints his eyes and he like takes the bottle off you and he goes, you know that the traitor camp. And then he goes where the traitors are. And it's obvious that he's quite drunk. [01:03:23] Speaker D: In which case I'll lift the bottle back out of his hand and place it like out of. Out of hands reach. As I start kind of handing off the drinks. As amusingly insightful as that is, imagine that we're new to town. Why are they traitors? And say, as I hand these drinks to the other four, he. [01:03:53] Speaker A: He looks at you through sort of like squinty eyes. And then when you kind of say us, he then looks to Beau and then sees the rest of. And like looks again back at you maiden, and then especially looks at you Beau. He's just like, Who are you lot? And he sort of rubs his eyes and you can kind of feel him like slightly sober up a little bit where he's just like. [01:04:31] Speaker F: We're a sharp shock of cold water. [01:04:33] Speaker E: Yeah, [01:04:36] Speaker A: it's just like. Okay, now you're gonna. You're gonna. I haven't drunk that much. I can say that. Who the are you lot? [01:04:48] Speaker F: Oh, you could say we're just passing through. [01:04:51] Speaker A: No, no, no, no. No one. No one passes through. Through. Are you part of the traitor camp? [01:05:01] Speaker C: No, we don't know who these traitors are. [01:05:05] Speaker A: That sounds sad. And then he. You can kind of feel like he's going back into. That sounds like exactly what a traitor would say. [01:05:14] Speaker D: Miran actively growls in his. In his throat [01:05:21] Speaker A: and [01:05:24] Speaker D: shotting this. This drink. What was it? This orange, this purple drink. What does it taste like? I mean, expecting like candy canes and grapes. [01:05:34] Speaker A: It actually tastes like the nicest whiskey you've had for a while. [01:05:40] Speaker D: Okay. [01:05:41] Speaker A: In which case it goes down smooth and it's smoky. [01:05:45] Speaker D: There's. There's like a snarl at a sneer on his face as he takes the drink and as he downs it. And it's meant to be a bit of a slightly intimidation kind of thing. And then they'll. There's a moment he catches himself and goes, that's actually quite good. [01:06:04] Speaker A: Are you saying that that's actually quite good out loud at all? [01:06:10] Speaker D: Just. Just the face, like. So he takes a swig and then like it's pseudo part of an act. But then as he pulls the glass away, he just kind of like licks his. Does a quick lick of his lips and then looks at the glass, a bit confused, bit impressed, and then looks back a bit, slams the glass down. We have been battered around from pillar to post with these questions. We are not from around here. We. We are woefully underprepared with answers to our questions. Who are the. Why are there traitors? Who is the princess? Who are you in this tavern that is apparently closing down in the middle of the evening? Where is everyone? [01:07:04] Speaker A: The lore of our match. So sort of like sits back and he's just like, That's. That's a lot of questions, my good man. Well. And you notice that like, as. As this man is supposed, is just about to start speaking. The goblin who, you know, as Rollo has come up and he's just like. He's just like, it's all right, Kelvin. It's all right. You know, calm down. [01:07:35] Speaker C: This is Kelvin. [01:07:38] Speaker A: You. [01:07:38] Speaker C: You're the sheriff. [01:07:41] Speaker A: Kelphin. Sort of just like what? Just like what gave it away, [01:07:50] Speaker F: right? [01:07:58] Speaker C: I should have known from the drunken, washed up look on you that you're. [01:08:02] Speaker B: And all that daddy energy, [01:08:07] Speaker F: that fabulous mustache. [01:08:11] Speaker A: He. Kelphin just sort of laughs and he's just like, I've had too much of a day for this. [01:08:22] Speaker C: Doing what? There ain't nothing around here. There's nobody to round up. There's nobody to arrest. Your pub closes at 9. [01:08:34] Speaker A: He looks at you, Bo, and he goes, exactly. And he goes, rollo, is my room ready yet? And Rollo just goes, BB's. BB's just getting it ready. She'll. I'll find out. [01:08:51] Speaker E: BB. [01:08:52] Speaker A: BB, is Kalfin's room ready yet? And you can just hear this voice just kind of going like, it's done. It's done. I'm not his mother. [01:09:01] Speaker C: Oh. [01:09:03] Speaker A: And as you, as you see, sort of like coming out from the back rooms, you see this. This sort of. This waddle of another goblin, a lady Goblin, this time with sort of like a bob haircut as she sort of, like, kind of goes through. And she's just like, oh, well. Oh, we're. We're very sorry. Where. We're closed at the moment. If, you know, we open at six tomorrow for breakfast, if you wanted to. And then she suddenly stops and she looks at the five of you and she's like, don't you dare. And she. And she looks to Rollo and she's just like, love, who are. Who are these. Who are these lots? [01:09:47] Speaker D: Are there five more rooms? [01:09:50] Speaker A: She looks at you and goes like you want. And you can almost see her a little bit giddy. She's like, you want. You want a room? And she sort of like, grabs hold of the other, like, Rollo, it's happened. It's happened. [01:10:11] Speaker F: We have visitors. [01:10:13] Speaker A: Visitors have come to see. Stay. You see, like, we obviously, everyone knows each other and everyone has somewhere to stay, so no one that we don't. I've had these rooms. I've had these rooms for such a long time. And I've said to Rollo, one day. One day we'll have visitors. One day someone will come. And he's like, well, no, we're wasting space. I could use that for another. I could use that for another bear room. And I'm just like, no, no, no, we could do it. And she's gibbering on about how they apparently have. Have rooms. And Roller's just like, all right, all right. Get the. We have. [01:10:47] Speaker E: We have two. [01:10:48] Speaker A: We have two more rooms that you. But first off, I'm. We do have to ask, like, who are you? [01:10:59] Speaker C: Right, so we came in. There was a big black thing. We fought some shadow people. It was like a big black hole we came in. It was a meadow. And then we were like, oh, my God, where are we? And then we walked into town. And then we met. Mine is half horse. We had some, like, weird tea, and then we came here. And everybody's asking us who we are. We don't. We know who we are. [01:11:21] Speaker A: We don't know who you are. Rollo sort of, like, looks to BB and goes, maybe we should make these. These people some food. Maybe we could just open up the kitchen off. It sounds like they've. They've had a bit of a travel, just a little. And BB sort of goes like. And she sort of skitters off to going, yeah. Oh. And then she skitters back and she's just like, unfortunately, we've only got two rooms left, like, because obviously Kelphin's Staying in one of them. Who. Who's going to be. I mean you. You four boys should probably. You lovely lady. You should probably have a room to yourself. I've made up a special room just. Just for us girls. [01:12:11] Speaker B: I'm quite happy to debunk with one of my fine colleagues. There's no funny business going on. We're explorers, [01:12:22] Speaker F: I fear. I haven't been inside in quite a while. It's a bit of a strange experience for me. I am quite happy outside under the stars. As is. As his brother Talons and sitting on his. [01:12:34] Speaker A: Both of them just sort of look at you really sort of like. Okay, just like. Well, we. [01:12:44] Speaker E: We have. [01:12:45] Speaker A: We have a garden. If you'd rather be in the garden, take the garden. Okay. [01:12:53] Speaker B: In that case, if it's four of us between two rooms there, then Pally and I shall be in one. And Beau and Murden can be in the other. [01:13:03] Speaker C: Perhaps. [01:13:03] Speaker B: But she looks to Pally to make sure that's okay. [01:13:06] Speaker D: Perhaps the two Wolfkin should share a room. We. [01:13:09] Speaker E: Are you making me shoes? [01:13:11] Speaker D: We both sleep rough, you see. [01:13:16] Speaker B: I see. [01:13:17] Speaker E: I'm very used to, like, hanging out with Lucretia. And all of a sudden the other Wolfkin who still has cannot vibe check. He does not quite know how Bearden feels about him. It's like, let's bump together. He's like a weird. [01:13:36] Speaker B: I don't know. [01:13:36] Speaker C: I've. [01:13:37] Speaker B: I've heard Beau can get a bit rough himself sometimes. [01:13:43] Speaker C: I have no idea what you're talking about. [01:13:45] Speaker B: I think he'd be perfectly comfortable in a room with Murden. [01:13:47] Speaker F: Wouldn't you? [01:13:48] Speaker C: Beautiful. I mean, if I had to choose, I'd take you any day. [01:13:53] Speaker B: Oh, well, so much for that. [01:13:56] Speaker C: I don't want to share. [01:14:04] Speaker A: Bibi goes. Well, I'll. [01:14:05] Speaker E: I'll. [01:14:06] Speaker A: I'll let you. I'll let you. I'll let you decide. [01:14:09] Speaker F: I'll go. [01:14:09] Speaker A: I'll go and make sure. I mean, they're already prepared. I've been waiting for this day for quite a while, but they. I'll. I'll go and get them, make sure that they're extra prepared. And she sort of goes off and Rollo kind of sort of shows you to like you. Do you want to sit here or. I can. You can have a table. I can get one of the tables prepared if you want. [01:14:36] Speaker B: Lovely. [01:14:37] Speaker D: Is there. Is there a table near a fireplace? [01:14:41] Speaker A: Well, I'm sure I can make that work. And he. [01:14:45] Speaker D: Is there a fireplace? [01:14:47] Speaker A: There is a fireplace. [01:14:50] Speaker D: In which case, if the table is not by the fireplace, me through no ceremony will drag a table noisily across. So it's near the, near the thing and. Yeah, yeah, let's get something in the. [01:15:08] Speaker E: Let's get something in chat. [01:15:10] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:15:10] Speaker C: Boom. [01:15:14] Speaker D: Mirdin holds a hand out and the two of the runestones float over towards the fireplace and then strike against each other like flint. And the spark ignites whatever logs are in there. [01:15:29] Speaker B: Nice. [01:15:31] Speaker A: When you, when you do this, Rollo is really taken aback by. By seeing that sight of you using some sort of magic too. And he just kind of goes like oh well you5 are really not from around here, are you? Okay, I'll. Well shame you can't magic yourself up some beds but luckily enough my, my bb, she's got you sorted. And then he sort of shouts, he shouts Fenway. Fenway. And you. It's Beenway. [01:16:15] Speaker E: And. [01:16:16] Speaker A: And you. You see this other little. Well not a little actually. You. You've heard the name Fenway before and you heard in that he was not really a dragon sense. [01:16:26] Speaker B: Yes, sort of a dragon scent. [01:16:28] Speaker A: Sort of a dragon scent. But. But as you. As, as like he has. Rollo calls over to Finway. This other like much taller figure sort of peers round and you see just this to you sort of just this normal looking sort of purple like he's. He looks fairly timid. Like he's sort of like hanging. Sort of like he's sort of rubbing his hands on his apron. But from your sort of knowledge he's just like a fairly usual looking dragon scent, quite young. And he's just like. He's just like yeah, dad. And, and Rollo just kind of goes like we've. We've got. We've got some people who, who need feeding. Are you. You happy enough to open the kitchen up again just for. Just for these five? I think we still got some stew left over and that should. I hope that's all right. Huh. [01:17:43] Speaker C: His daddy's a goblin. [01:17:46] Speaker D: I think mid is looking at you both like, how come you weren't that tall? [01:17:53] Speaker A: And Fenway just kind of goes. And he looks. He looks over at the five of you because this is very odd. It's obvious that you can tell that this is very odd for him. He. He looks over at the five of you and then he looks at you Beau, and he's just like. And he's just like. And, and he's sort of. He's still kind of like rubbing like he's sort of twiddling. He's kind of picking like underneath his claws like very nervously. But it's obvious that he's very transfixed by you, Bo. And Roller's just like, fenway. Fenway, go on. And then he's just like, oh, yeah, dad. Sorry, dad. Sorry, dad. I'll. I'll get on with it. And he peers off back into the. Into the kitchen, baby. Rollo's just like, I'll. You. Would you. Would you like the same as what you had those. The whiskey. [01:18:53] Speaker C: Stack them up. [01:18:57] Speaker A: He brings over a couple more glasses of this whiskey for you. And he. And be like. He sort of like goes off to sort of to see how Finway's doing in the kitchen. But you notice then that Kelphin has actually pulled up a chair between the lot of you and it's just like, well, well, well. [01:19:26] Speaker E: Can I ask something about board regarding Kelvin? If I was to do basically like my sparing touch on Kelvin, would he essentially sober up? I only asked because. Because technically speaking, my sparing touch removes stress or hit points. [01:19:45] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:19:45] Speaker E: So I'm considering if. If drinking would cause stress mechanically. Can I remove stress? [01:19:51] Speaker B: Stress deviates, surely. [01:19:53] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:19:54] Speaker E: So like the idea would be like, as he comes over, it's like, it's a pleasure to meet you friend. I'm Palia and I will introduce everyone but off their handshake and that. That will be bought him sober. [01:20:07] Speaker F: To answer our question. [01:20:09] Speaker E: He's gonna like, also like, he's gonna hate me anyway. I'm. I'm the opposite of him, but I think so. Yeah. [01:20:17] Speaker A: He. He kind of looks at you as you sort of offer his hand. He licks his lips and he grabs your hand and he gives you quite a firm handshake and as that healing. So I take it that healing touch as it. As it goes through him again, your. Your sort of connection with Renengar is feeling weak, but it's there. And you can. You can feel that sort of like it's. It's not that sort of empowerment that you usually get, but you can still feel it sort of lift through your fingertips and through into Kelvin. And he can. He sort of like, it sort of looks a bit dozy. And then his eyes sort of brighten. Like, you can see like his, like, he still looks pretty haggard, but you can see that he's looking a little bit more there. He's, you know, he's definitely sobered up. He's had like about 10 coffees now, and he's there in the room and he just looks at his hand and then he looks at you and he looks at your robe. And he's just like, by the. By the gods, a seraph. Am I correct? [01:21:46] Speaker E: Yes, I'm a seraph of Renengar. [01:21:51] Speaker A: And he looks. Renengar. I've not heard that name in. So. And. And he's. And you can tell that he's trying hard to find words. And he looks at all of you and like, I don't think there's any other. Anyone else besides from Palia who's probably wearing sort of like regalia of any of the dragons. But he. He noticed that he just kind of looks at each of you and. And you can tell that he's sort of scanning for those, like, elements. And he just kind of goes like, wow, yeah, you. You lot are really not from around here. You. And he. There's an elsewhere out there. There is another elsewhere out there. [01:23:04] Speaker E: Yeah. [01:23:07] Speaker A: And he. He sort of brushes through his sort of like stubble, just like, scratching. And he's just like, tell me everything. Tell me, like, what's happened in the. What's happened in the past 30 years? [01:23:26] Speaker B: In good time. I understand why it seems like there is another elsewhere out there, but to be honest, I don't mean to alarm you, but it's a little bit more like you are out there some. Somewhere to us. You see, most of Elsweyr was maintained after the sundering the eschaton, but I don't know if you even call it that. But yes, certain parts disappeared or were created and scooped up the survivors. And you seem to be one of them. To us, that is. There's rather a lot of elsewhere out there. [01:24:11] Speaker A: He. You can see that he's taken aback. He's just like. That is a. That is a lot. That is a lot to hear tonight. Have. I mean, is there a way. Is there a way back? Have you. Can we. Can we go. Can we go back to Elsewhere now? [01:24:39] Speaker F: I think that's rather what we're attempting to find out. [01:24:42] Speaker A: Oh. [01:24:44] Speaker B: To be honest, we've only just arrived. We're still grappling to understand the route by which we even got here. We didn't know you existed before now, but you're quite right. Figuring out if there's a way back is a priority. [01:24:59] Speaker A: He sits there and he sort of folds his arms and he's like, yeah, as much as I don't want to do it, I think this may be a situation for the Princess. We may have to talk to Princess Rejoice. [01:25:23] Speaker B: Why would you not wish to speak to the Princess? Our friend Aldous told us that she is available and meets with. With her. Her people Quite regularly. [01:25:34] Speaker A: He. Aldis. Aldis is young. He. He was born here in Sanctuary. He. He knows nothing else. He doesn't know the. He doesn't know the war. He doesn't know the chaos that Sanctuary was in before it became this. He. The Princess is still a child. And while she obviously has these otherworldly powers, I. There's not. There's something that has just not sat right with me for a while. And I know this cuz I used to be her head guard. And he's like. He. He kind of like I look, there's a lot to tell you five about Sanctuary. There's a lot. And if that. And there's. And I've obviously got questions. Maybe we can meet up tomorrow and we can. We can hash this out. And you can see that he's like. He's like. He is sober now and he's really trying to think about this. He's just like we can't. How many people have seen you? [01:27:17] Speaker E: Aldis, his grandfather and maybe a few people passing by and people here, but not many people in that regard. [01:27:29] Speaker A: This is a. This is a small place. That's news. News of you are gonna get around. Especially you. And he points to you. Beautiful Dragon scent. Dragon center. Not like normal around here. Like we have three who, who came here. Like I came here when. When the sundering happened. Like when the. When Elsewhere was being torn apart. Like we were just happened to be all in the same place when we got put here. And like since then like we've, you know, we've had children, I've had children. We've made families, we've developed lives. But no one's had a. No one's had a dragon scent for. Since I've since. Since centuries been here. [01:28:35] Speaker D: But Finley is the fourth [01:28:40] Speaker A: Finway. [01:28:41] Speaker D: Finway is the fourth [01:28:44] Speaker A: Finway is one of the gifted children. He. He wasn't always a dragon scent. He wanted to become a dragon scent. And the Prince Princess gifted it to him. He was a goblin, just like his dad and his mum. It was something he always wanted. Now unfortunately the rest of the Dragon center quite awful towards him. He's not really one and things like that. And you can. You've seen how he is. He's shy kid. Anyway. [01:29:28] Speaker E: People should be allowed to who they want to be. So he's Dragon scent. He's Dragon scent. That's it. And if Pally looks quite like there's. There's a sudden like shift. He sits very like calmly says he's a dragon scent. He was gifted A dragon sent. He's a dragon scent. What's the issue? [01:29:50] Speaker A: Kelphin looks at you and he can see the determination in your eyes about it. And he's like. I agree, like [01:30:01] Speaker B: Pali. It's not about who Finway is deep down. Of course. Of course he's a dragon scent. But these are powerful magics we're talking about. [01:30:11] Speaker E: It is powerful magic indeed. I'd like to ask the Princess about that. [01:30:20] Speaker A: Well, you'll have people to get through her before you can get to her. Obviously, with such great power, but in such a young girl. Obviously she has a court that looks after her. [01:30:40] Speaker B: But a sword in the hand of a 10 year old child is still a sword, no matter what supervision she's given. [01:30:49] Speaker A: We have a lot to thank the Princess for. She's kept us safe. She's made this place like before. We knew she had those powers. We were just in a void. A black void. A black endless nothingness of despair. But I don't fully trust her. I do not trust her courts. And that's why I left. And that's that. That's a story for another time. As I said, there's a lot that I'd like to learn from you, and there's a lot that you probably want to hear from me. But let's. You look tired. I'm very tired after today. I apologize for my previous disposition. He GRIMACES I'm gonna head to my room. I'll do. Wait for me here tomorrow morning and we'll. We'll convene then. And as he sort of makes his way to go off, he. He trips on Explorer, not realizing that Explorer has also followed you there. And he's just like, did an Explorer bot. Did it follow you? [01:32:09] Speaker C: Yeah. We can't get rid of him. [01:32:11] Speaker B: It seems to have taken a shine to us. Yes. [01:32:15] Speaker A: We'll go see Lainie tomorrow. [01:32:16] Speaker C: Is he a spy? [01:32:19] Speaker A: No, he's an Explorer bot. [01:32:24] Speaker D: It's the heretic [01:32:28] Speaker A: that Laney will be able to get information from. Lainey's able to get information from Explorer bots. She knows that they sort of, I don't know, recollect things that they've seen. Maybe they've. [01:32:44] Speaker C: Sounds like a spy to me. [01:32:48] Speaker B: Yes. He goes around collecting information and reports back. Not a spy. [01:32:54] Speaker A: Kelvin just kind of goes like, yeah, I guess, but said. But it's not. [01:32:59] Speaker E: It's not. [01:33:00] Speaker A: You have to understand, it's not on us. It's about, you know, the creatures that live out in the forests. The things that we have no control over us. Maybe but we can. Maybe we can find out where you came in, and then maybe we can find that way back to elsewhere if you're saying is true. Okay, I'll see the five of you tomorrow, Kelphin, by the way. [01:33:41] Speaker E: Thank you, Kelsey. [01:33:44] Speaker A: Until tomorrow. [01:33:45] Speaker D: I. [01:33:46] Speaker A: Until tomorrow. He looks again at you, pally, and you. You get the sort of feeling that he knows the robes that you're wearing fairly well. And he. He shakes his head and he goes off back into. Goes back into the. Where obviously the rooms are kept. And as he sort of maneuvers around bb, she's just like. Like, oh, your. Your rooms are ready. When you've had something to eat, so do I. I do hope that. I do hope they're up till we don't. As I said, we don't get any visitors. It's very exciting. And she. She toggles off again. Rollo. Rollo comes back and he. He serves you up some. Just some bowls of the stew that he's made. But they're. They're quite elegant, actually. They're. They're fill of just sort of like. It's kind of almost like they're in bowls, but they've got like, these big leafy greens that sort of go around the edge of the bowls. And then this. This sort of stew of just like very plump meat and colorful vegetables. So you like the. The purple sort of like sweet potatoes that you get, like the Japanese sweet potatoes. It's like bits and bit like that. And some of them. Some of them don't look like they've actually been carved into flowers like this. These vegetables actually grow like flowers. And then a cut sort of sideways like that. So it's very beautifully, like, much more elegantly sort of like placed than any other tavern you've been into. And so you now. And Rollo's sort of just like, I'm gonna be. I'm gonna be cleaning up, so if you need anything, you. You let me know. And he sort of goes off and he's just kind of keeping an eye on the five of you. And you have a moment to just have, like, a conversation between the five of you. [01:35:48] Speaker C: That's what we'll do. We'll just look at each other. [01:35:51] Speaker A: What a day. I mean, if you. If you. The five of you are feeling like that's it. I think we're. We're done. You can. You can eat your soups and your stews, and we can sort of get you. Get you to your rooms for the evening. [01:36:06] Speaker F: Hold it up. I've got the talons. [01:36:12] Speaker A: What. How. [01:36:13] Speaker B: The select pieces of meat. [01:36:15] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:36:16] Speaker B: And he's discerning them to his beef. [01:36:19] Speaker A: The. The stew is excellent. It's warming and it's hearty. And despite the different types of things that you've tasted, sort of like tasted and experienced while you've been here in sanctuary, like, it almost. It almost tastes more like a usual meal that you would find in a tavern, but it's. It's kind of dialed up a little bit more with, like, different little sprinklings of flavors that you've not quite tasted, but it's. It's good and it fills you up, and it's definitely needed. [01:36:54] Speaker C: As we walked in, did we notice any livestock? Have we seen animals? [01:36:59] Speaker A: No, you haven't noticed any livestock? The only sort of eating. I mean, you can ask. [01:37:13] Speaker C: You got this. [01:37:13] Speaker E: Why would. [01:37:14] Speaker C: Where's the. You want to know? [01:37:19] Speaker F: Is this. Is this information we want to have. [01:37:22] Speaker C: Is there a reason there's only 600 people in this place? [01:37:26] Speaker D: Right on to 99. Now, [01:37:33] Speaker C: What's the. The stew made of, sir? [01:37:36] Speaker A: Oh, well, it's got meat and it's got. [01:37:44] Speaker C: What kind of meat? Cow or. [01:37:48] Speaker A: Yeah, like flower cows. [01:37:52] Speaker C: Sure, fine. [01:37:54] Speaker B: Just. Just accept it. [01:37:56] Speaker C: Yep, that's fine. [01:37:59] Speaker A: It's the best. It's the best flower cows that we have here in century. [01:38:03] Speaker C: Yeah, sure. [01:38:04] Speaker B: Flower cows, turnip pig. So it's all the same to us. Don't you worry. Thank you. [01:38:09] Speaker A: Oh, you have seen the turnip pig? [01:38:11] Speaker C: Yes, yes, Love turnip pig. It's my favorite meat. [01:38:15] Speaker A: Oh, me too. Me, too. We just ran out. I eat it too much. [01:38:21] Speaker B: It's okay. The next crop will be in soon, I'm sure. [01:38:24] Speaker A: And he looks at you like, what are you. Crop. No, we've got. There's, you know, the, you know, sort of like Aldous. He has them on his farm. [01:38:33] Speaker B: Yes, yes. And we've been here about five minutes, so forgive me for not understanding the terrible procedures. [01:38:40] Speaker A: He's just like. Hey. He just. He just sort of, like, shakes his head, and he's just like. You're going to have to. You're going to have to. Pardon me, my dear. I've. This is all very new for all of us. [01:38:52] Speaker F: Very well. [01:38:53] Speaker D: I'm imagining flower cows just, like, crawl their way out the ground, screaming and mooing, and they just start grazing. But the. The horror of it is that they're grazing on one another because they're all flowers. [01:39:11] Speaker B: They're all meat. [01:39:12] Speaker C: They are. They're shaped like flowers, but they're. All. The flowers are like fillets of steak. All the pests. [01:39:19] Speaker B: That's it exactly. [01:39:20] Speaker A: You just pluck them off. [01:39:21] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's just non sentient. Meat flowers. [01:39:26] Speaker F: Meat flowers, Proteins. [01:39:32] Speaker B: Tuck in. [01:39:36] Speaker E: He's wolfing this. This stew down. He's like. He's listening. He's not registered. He's just so hungry. Yeah, that boy needs grin. Grin beans. He's in the food, [01:39:49] Speaker A: pally. As you. As you finish your bowl and. And sort of leave it on the. On the side, you. You do see like a figure stand next to you with a pot and sort of gives you like a bit more. And Finway is standing next to you and he's just like. He's just like a little bit more. And then he sort of. Kind of just looks really amazing. [01:40:11] Speaker E: Thank you. Yes. I will have we only as much as you wish to give, but this is great. It's so good. [01:40:17] Speaker A: Thank you. Finway sort of blushes and he's just kind of going like, thank you. And then he sort of pours some more and he is looking at Beau while he's doing this and so. And then Bo. He. [01:40:33] Speaker C: Do you want to ask me something? Why are you looking at me? [01:40:36] Speaker A: Just like. Sorry. And then just sort of. And then he looks really sort of bashful and then he's sort of. And then he hurries off. [01:40:44] Speaker C: I just grab his arm as he goes. Don't, don't. [01:40:46] Speaker A: No, no, no, no, no. [01:40:47] Speaker C: You stay here. [01:40:50] Speaker A: Oh, I've got a. I've probably just got a clean up. [01:40:54] Speaker C: Do you know my daddy was a goblin. [01:40:57] Speaker A: He's just like. And then he sits like he finds a scene. He's just like, really? [01:41:04] Speaker C: My dad is a goblin. [01:41:06] Speaker A: Wow. Like. Wow. Like. So you see the five of you really from somewhere else. [01:41:14] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [01:41:14] Speaker C: We're not from here. [01:41:16] Speaker A: Well, I guess that. But I mean like, really, really? [01:41:23] Speaker C: Yep. Really, really. [01:41:25] Speaker A: Wow. So there's this. [01:41:31] Speaker D: Oh. [01:41:34] Speaker A: And you can tell like he's really struggling hard. So he's thinking of so many questions that he's. And he's just like, but how? Oh. And Rollo just goes, because Fenway. Leave. Leave the. Leave them alone. [01:41:47] Speaker C: Oh, let the boy sit a while. He ain't talked to many dragon scent. [01:41:53] Speaker A: And Fenway just sort of like he. You can see him sort of look down and he's of sort. Sort of like brings his knees in and he's just like. No, they don't. They don't really like me very much. [01:42:06] Speaker C: Because your. Your dad is a goblin? [01:42:09] Speaker A: Well, no, because. [01:42:10] Speaker C: Goblin. [01:42:11] Speaker A: No, it's got. No, they like they like my dad. That's fine. [01:42:16] Speaker D: It's. [01:42:17] Speaker A: It's because of me. Like, like I wasn't, you know, I wasn't, I wasn't born dragon scent. You know. I, I was born a goblin as well. They don't think I'm. Well I'm not really a real one This. I was just made a dragon sent by the princess when we used to be friends. [01:42:41] Speaker C: Don't take no mind. Don't take no mind. Everybody, they say to me, you ain't no proper dragon set. You're only four, four foot nothing. And look at me, I'm the. I'm a proud dragon sale. [01:42:54] Speaker A: He you sort of talking to him like that. Sort of. He sort of looks and then like smiles really bashfully and he's just like yeah, [01:43:07] Speaker C: don't don't play him no man. You're a big strong boy. Look at the size of you. [01:43:12] Speaker A: He's just like, yeah, much bigger than I used to play. [01:43:18] Speaker F: Protect the baby. [01:43:25] Speaker C: Princess from child. [01:43:27] Speaker A: Yeah. Well, like, like most children in, most children in sanctuary get a chance to be friends with the princess and we, and we go live in the palace and she, we get training and she teaches us stuff and like we basically, we're just there to play with her and then when we get too old then we have to move out. But you know, she gives us all a gift when we leave and like if we're picked up then you know, then the, then the, then sanctuary can ask for a gift as well. And you know, that's, that's how we get all the really nice things around here. You, you know, sort of like this is how, this is how my, my dad makes such like really good food and really good and really good drink because the, the princess gifted him for, for me to, to be friends with her and to live in the palace for a few years. And when we get older then we, then we move out and, and we come back and, and I, and you know, it took a while for, for mum and dad to get used to the fact that now I wasn't a goblin anymore. But they, they, they, they're nice. They accept. They, they've accepted me that now I'm a dragon scent and that like I've, that I've always felt like this. So yeah, [01:44:44] Speaker E: as long as you're happy, my friend, that's the most important thing as you. [01:44:49] Speaker A: I, he smiles. He's just like yeah, it feels, it feels right mean. Obviously the other dragon sent, they don't believe me and they don't talk to me. But. And, but, you know, everyone else is really nice. [01:45:08] Speaker E: What matters is what you think. No one else. [01:45:13] Speaker A: He. He nods and he's just like, yeah, yeah, I'm. I'm trying my best. I'm getting better alone. I really better go and clean the kitchen. But I'll. But maybe I'll say hello tomorrow morning. [01:45:31] Speaker E: Nice. [01:45:32] Speaker A: Good night. And he sort of. He sort of toddles off with the rest of the stew in a big pot. So if there's anything else like the. As I said, like, it's dead. It's probably roundabout. You're looking at like half 10, 11 o' clock now, since you've been in the tavern, you can do anything else you want to do, or you can head to bed. Completely up to the. [01:46:01] Speaker B: We haven't figured out the sleeping arrangement yet. Virgil's in the garden, and then there's two rooms and a lot of disagreement. [01:46:12] Speaker F: Join Virgil in the garden. [01:46:13] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, Lucretia's happy to be like, in solitary splendor in a room of her own. If you guys cannot figure this out, [01:46:25] Speaker C: we can figure it out upstairs. [01:46:28] Speaker B: Okay, well, what's the arrangement then? [01:46:31] Speaker D: Yeah, I guess it's whoever. Whoever we lump with BO. [01:46:38] Speaker C: Is it. I mean, is it twin rooms? We got two beds in a room. We'll work this out when we see what the rooms look like. [01:46:45] Speaker B: Yeah, that's it. That's the important bit. [01:46:48] Speaker A: Yeah. Who. Who's gonna go check out a room? Who's gonna go check out the situation? Yeah, Pally, you check out the situation and you notice that they are two separate beds. [01:47:00] Speaker C: Okay. [01:47:01] Speaker E: Yeah, that's when. That's when rooms say, I'm. I'm happy to bunk with whoever, like Mirrodan. If you'd like to bunk with me, which is your suggestion, I'm cool with that. But I'm also happy to bunk with Lucretia. I feel like above table. I've bunked with Lucretia before, so this is something that's happened before. I don't know, Beau. I don't know what Lucretia wants to do. So Pally's a happy man. [01:47:27] Speaker B: Pally, Pally, Pally, Pally. I would feel very comfortable bunking with you because we've done it before. Will you please be my roommate? [01:47:38] Speaker E: Okay, let's do that. Sorry. [01:47:40] Speaker B: Excellent. We need to talk about assertiveness, Pally. [01:47:50] Speaker E: Okay, sure, we can do that. We can do that. [01:47:56] Speaker C: So let me try and Lucre wrestle with Murden. [01:48:00] Speaker A: Yeah. Pally and Lucretia, you head into this bedroom that Pally has Checked out. Boh. And you go into the other room. [01:48:11] Speaker C: It's the honeymoon suite. [01:48:12] Speaker A: Yeah, there's like, there's, it's like a king sized bed. There's petals all over. There's like a little bottle of nice whiskey ready with some two flutes. Now it's a double. [01:48:22] Speaker B: It's, it's a. Phoebe's got really into this. She's so stoked to have guests. [01:48:28] Speaker A: She really wants someone to have a honeymoon there. So yeah, they're like, they're, they're, they're basic average sort of rooms in there. They've, they've got all your amenities that you're going to need and so yes, if there is anything that any of you would like to do before heading to sleep. [01:48:56] Speaker D: Based on everything that we've heard tonight, Mirdin's gonna, after we finished eating, we, we've scoped out the sleeping arrangements. Mirin's gonna head back downstairs, grab what's left of that purple scotch like stuff and then like head out of the tavern and just find somewhere to sit. Like looking at the surroundings, potential like potentially near Virgil. If Virgil looks like he's botherable, he's [01:49:29] Speaker F: always botherable [01:49:33] Speaker D: in, in which [01:49:36] Speaker A: in that case you've, and you've, you've noticed that Virgil has sort of headed out sort of round the back and into this sort of like this gated garden. It's, it's got lots of little vegetable patches and things like that. Obviously they're growing their own stuff here, but also wonderful beautiful flower beds, some benches, a little bird feeder, so a little sort of bird bath. And you can also see that, you can see that BB has put down like a bed roll and some blankets and Virgil is just completely ignoring them and making his own little pile of leaves in another space. [01:50:19] Speaker F: So happy in his little pile of leaves. [01:50:21] Speaker A: And he's not being, I like to think that Virgil's not being rude. He just kind of thinks like, oh, that's there, that's not for me. [01:50:27] Speaker B: And then just from the talons, there you go. [01:50:36] Speaker D: I, in my head, I imagine Virgil's got what is effectively a travel cup. [01:50:42] Speaker F: Yes, he's carved it himself. [01:50:44] Speaker D: Okay. In which case I'll sort of like offer the, like the top of the bottle to, to fill up your, your cup and then I'll take a perch on a, on a nearby like decorative garden rock. What are your thoughts? [01:51:05] Speaker F: Well, we've certainly ended up somewhere rather strange. [01:51:12] Speaker D: That is a word for it. [01:51:17] Speaker F: But I, I have always believed that wherever we are, the dragons go with us. And as long as they're here with us, well, what harm can it do? [01:51:28] Speaker D: Like maiden squint slightly. I. The thing is, I don't think that's entirely the case. This. This place and looking around. So this tavern's sort of like in the town, right? Like so. All around me we can see other like dotted around houses, window like windows open, curtains drawn. I'm expecting. [01:51:55] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. [01:51:58] Speaker D: This place, it looks. It looks good. It looks like it's supposed to, But there's. There's something not right. My back. Excuse. Poor excuse for the sheriff said it himself. Did you notice that? It seems the Wolfkin boy's connection to Renangar isn't what it was back when we were in the woods of Falstrom. I can barely hear Artiosa. They don't know what world spirits are. [01:52:47] Speaker F: But you can. You can hear her? [01:52:52] Speaker D: Yes, but it sounds like. It sounds like she's far away. That's never been the case before. [01:53:03] Speaker F: Well, it seems we've really require a talk with the princess. Clear everything up, [01:53:13] Speaker A: perhaps. [01:53:19] Speaker D: Who would have thought that you could, Ms. Falstrom? I say as I slowly get up and I leave the bottle with you. [01:53:31] Speaker C: Well, it's just. [01:53:32] Speaker F: It's always nice to be traveling with friends. [01:53:37] Speaker D: Mirdin like, looks at you and there's a. There's a look of like blankness on his face. And then. And then like a smile creaks out and he doesn't say anything. He just like purses his lips and turns to leave. [01:53:59] Speaker A: Any other conversations? [01:54:01] Speaker B: I think Lucretia is sort of with Pali in the room and she says, pally, there's something I need to go and deal with. But why don't you. Why don't you get to know Beau a little bit before you go to bed? I feel as if somebody needs to be keeping an eye on him. Do you know what I mean? [01:54:26] Speaker F: Sure. [01:54:28] Speaker B: I mean, you're a good judge of character. Pally, I need your read on this. Is that all right? Can I trust you? [01:54:35] Speaker E: I. I can. I can try. I can. I haven't used about certain this. I'll try. I will do my best. I. I can. I mean, Bar's a reasonable guy. I. I messed up earlier. I should have called him an explorer. I'm going to go and apologize for that. [01:54:51] Speaker B: Very good idea. Yes, yes. Get on his better side. And she makes to leave the room. Her intention is to talk to Virgil. So if you want to do a conversation between Pally and Beau first as a sort of palette cleanser, then that's absolutely fine with me. [01:55:08] Speaker E: Yeah. I guess I'm going to assume Beau is in the room, so I'll give like a little, little knock. [01:55:17] Speaker C: Oh, I can hear you, crazy dog. The door. Yeah, Bob, come in. [01:55:24] Speaker E: Hey. I'm really sorry. I feel like we may have got off on the wrong foot for this whole thing and it's been a bit mad and I just wanted to say sorry about earlier as well. I'm still quite new to exploring and feel like I'm pretty competent, but I'm also still learning. So I just wanted to say sorry and, you know, it'll be great to get to know you a bit better if you have time. You'll like gauge. See if that's something that Beau would like. [01:55:56] Speaker C: I think sort of as you step in the room, Beau is lying on his bed. He's wearing. Still got his hat on, he's still got his guns on and just a pair of boxer shorts, but he's still wearing his cowboy hat and he's still wearing his gun. I mean, he gets up. I mean, I think we just run in different circles. Sure, I guess. I mean, I've never had the joy of going on an adventure with you, but I sure will get along just, just fine. [01:56:42] Speaker E: Yeah. Paddy has realized that this is not feeling like a conversation that's going to continue for very long. And then he tries to figure out what he can say and then just like almost in a panic, just like. So you. Your dad was a goblin? Like what. What was it like growing up? No, I. Sorry, I. I didn't mean it like that. I meant. Yeah, past tense. [01:57:09] Speaker C: I mean, it's good he's not dead. I mean, that would be a real faux pas, wouldn't it? [01:57:13] Speaker E: Yeah. I'm really sorry again. Not very good at this. So I'm. I'm just not very good at this. Just. [01:57:20] Speaker C: Yep. [01:57:22] Speaker E: Matt. [01:57:24] Speaker F: Yeah. [01:57:24] Speaker A: You're pretty. [01:57:25] Speaker C: You're pretty rubbish. [01:57:28] Speaker E: Any tips on how to be better at this would be great. I mean, to be quite good at charming Lucretia, in a way. [01:57:36] Speaker A: I guess. I don't know. [01:57:39] Speaker C: I don't know. I mean, she chose to bug with you, so you've obviously got something on her. But I heard she likes dropping young men. I've seen that she's got another Wolfgang running around her tower. I. I hear about it. You know about that. He's got a nice young man. [01:57:56] Speaker B: He's got a type. [01:58:00] Speaker E: Sorry, this moment was like. We've met, we've met. He's. Yeah, he's. Yeah, he's quite I mean, I wouldn't. [01:58:09] Speaker C: I wouldn't get involved because he looks like he could beat the living daylights out of you. Oh. [01:58:13] Speaker E: Oh, I know. I like. [01:58:17] Speaker C: Just so we're clear, I mean, no offense. [01:58:19] Speaker A: I mean, I know you're. [01:58:21] Speaker E: I'm not aiming to steal the creature or anything. We're just friends. [01:58:25] Speaker C: I mean. I mean, when in sanctuary, stays in sanctuary. I don't. I wouldn't throw nothing, but I'm just saying he can't win. You'd be. You'd be dead. [01:58:33] Speaker E: He's going redder and redder and redder as this conversation continues. He's not doing a great job. I just. Do you like your dad? I'm gonna change the subject. Do you like your dad? Do you get on with him? [01:58:48] Speaker C: I mean, that's a weird question. Do you like your dad? [01:58:51] Speaker E: Oh, I never really got to know him and he's dead, so no, not really. [01:58:55] Speaker C: See, you just got you. Now you gotta assume things. [01:58:59] Speaker E: Yeah, that's what. [01:59:00] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. [01:59:01] Speaker C: No, I love my dad with all my heart. He's a good man. [01:59:05] Speaker E: Good to hear it. [01:59:07] Speaker C: So, about your dad. You look like your dad. Like I met someone that might have been like your dad. Could have been your dad in the [01:59:17] Speaker A: war [01:59:20] Speaker E: that really like Patty was like red and all the color has drained from his face the moment you say that. And he's just like. I mean he was quite well known. Yeah, he had the same name. So he was also called Pali. I. I guess he wasn't always known as Pali. He was Paliar probably. [01:59:46] Speaker C: Ah, yeah. That makes sense. Yep. Yeah. Met him. [01:59:54] Speaker E: Was he like. [02:00:01] Speaker C: Like you? Yeah, I mean he was a man of his word. Didn't take fools gladly. [02:00:12] Speaker E: Yeah, that. That equates to the stories. [02:00:15] Speaker C: So strong willed. I mean. Yeah. I mean you look just like him. [02:00:28] Speaker E: Thanks. I think so It's a good. It's a blessing and a curse. I guess people expect a lot from you, from looking like someone. But also, I don't know, can't be yourself and everyone keeps comparing you to someone else. [02:00:51] Speaker C: I mean, you gotta make your own roads in life. [02:01:00] Speaker E: Look, I'm gonna let you go to bed because you're clearly should go to bed and I shouldn't be bothering you, but thank you for indulging me uniform. [02:01:17] Speaker C: I'm sure your dad will be proud of what, you know, whoever you are. That's just Dad's. My dad's proud of me and I'm nothing like him. [02:01:34] Speaker E: Thanks man. Have a good night. Leave and hope you he's speed speaking to Beau long enough for him not to feel super awkward when he gets back. [02:01:52] Speaker A: Lucretia, while you had hurried Palia to go and have a chat with Beau, you have found yourselves sort of wandering downstairs and finding yourself out into the little garden. Garden as well. Miran is gone and Virgil has. I'm guessing Virgil is sort of just like. Is he sitting up? Is he lying down? Is he falling asleep? What's Virgil doing? [02:02:21] Speaker F: I think he. He's made his. His man nest. He's leaning against. I imagine if this is like a pub garden, like a wall, a wall in the garden. He's kind of leaning. He's got his. His little fe. Asus. He's. He looks comfortable. He's got the. The glass, the. His little wooden cup with him is there looking at. If there's like a starry situation, if the stars look anything. [02:02:49] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, there's a lovely stars. [02:02:51] Speaker F: Yeah. [02:02:51] Speaker A: The stars are just like. Feels like they're almost like unnaturally bright. Like they. Drawn that way. Yeah. [02:02:59] Speaker F: I imagine like you could almost see like the little edges that someone's like crayon in. Yeah. So he's looking at the stars. [02:03:08] Speaker B: Before I start, Lucretia starts talking. I just wanted to check with Theo. That conversation that Pally just had with Beau is the information he gave Beau already known to Lucretia? [02:03:22] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah, it would be. [02:03:23] Speaker B: Yeah, fine. That's fine. Great. So, yeah, Lucretia is going to approach and sit sort of next, not right up against, but sort of close to Virgil and also leaning against the wall. [02:03:37] Speaker F: Get in the nest. [02:03:40] Speaker B: She's not in the nest. Next to the nest and also looking up at the. At the stars. And she says. Quite a day, isn't it? [02:03:51] Speaker F: Yeah. Yes, rather. Would you like some? And he holds up the. The bottle that he's been left. [02:03:59] Speaker B: Thank you. Do you have anything to drink out of or. [02:04:04] Speaker F: I have a cup if you'd like to share my cup. I really should have, you know, carved some more, but. [02:04:10] Speaker B: Oh, I'll take the bottle. Jason just takes the bottle from me and takes a swig and gives it back. Oh, my goodness. Quite an unlikely troop, aren't we? Oh, yes, yes. [02:04:22] Speaker F: It's always nice to make friends. You know, I don't often get to meet new people out and about. [02:04:28] Speaker B: Well, yes, and four of us and all the way from Ava Moor to Falstrom. Never met. None of us have ever met you in our lives. Which is why it confuses me, Virgil, that every time I see you look at Pally, something different goes through your eyes. Almost Like a confusion or a familiarity. And I'm very fond of the boy, you know, and I look out for him. I protect him. So I don't mean to be rude or accusatory, but I just need to know what is going on. What do you see in him? [02:05:10] Speaker F: You can tell this is sort of slightly shocked Vergil. I think he thought he was being quite sneaky and not going on face journeys, which he absolutely was. And, well, it's. It's his, you know, the past coming back to haunt me, as it were, ever. I've been on my own for a number of years and. Well, when you see a face that looks like a face that you recognize, well, it's. It's a little quite odd. [02:05:40] Speaker B: He looks like someone you know. [02:05:44] Speaker F: Yes, rather a lot, actually. [02:05:48] Speaker B: Yes. [02:05:49] Speaker F: Someone I knew in my youth when I was also a youth and he was also a youth, as it were. [02:05:58] Speaker B: Yes. Someone who looks a lot like our young Pally. [02:06:05] Speaker F: Right. Right up to the name, as you can imagine, which was quite a shock for me. I haven't quite known how to address the young man. Obviously, I fear I possibly might have known a relative. [02:06:24] Speaker B: Pally was. Well, Paliar was Pally's father. [02:06:31] Speaker A: Yes, I assumed. [02:06:34] Speaker B: How did you know him? [02:06:38] Speaker F: We knew one another for a while when we were both rather young, and then we lost contact, as you do. I stayed in the monastery where I was raised, and he did not. It's been rather a while. [02:06:59] Speaker B: I feel as if Pali would probably appreciate to hear from someone who knew his father. [02:07:08] Speaker F: Well. I think after everything we've been through these past few hours, this past day, it's not really come up. But as you say, you feel responsibility for the lad. I rather feel the same. [02:07:26] Speaker B: I think right now, as we're very far from home, these are the times to think about the ones we've loved and the ones who make us feel anchored in ourselves, don't you? [02:07:44] Speaker F: Yes. Yes, I shall speak to him, I'm sure, in our own time. [02:07:52] Speaker B: Very good. [02:07:52] Speaker F: Please do not think that I feel any ill will. [02:07:57] Speaker B: Absolutely. Excellent. And Lucretia sort of dusts herself off as she gets up and says a very good night to you. And to you, brother Talons. She makes her way back inside. [02:08:16] Speaker A: So Lucretia, is you. As. As you head back up to your room that you show with Pally Maiden, are you back up in the room with Beau? [02:08:26] Speaker D: Yeah, I mean, I would have. I think I probably would have walked in just as Pally was heading out. And then I'll take a moment to just look at Beau in his pants, pants and hat and then I'll make mid noise and then just start getting ready for to sleep. [02:08:49] Speaker A: So as the five of you get yourselves ready for a well earned rest in this, not completely sure what things you're going to find out when daylight comes.
