[00:01:47] Speaker B: Hello, I'm Julia and I play Lucretia, a Lorevar wizard. [00:01:53] Speaker C: Hi, my name is Theo and I'll be playing Pally, a wolf king, Seraph. [00:01:59] Speaker D: Hi, I'm Georgia and I'll be playing Vergil, a Sangravar ranger. [00:02:06] Speaker E: Hi, my name is DM Dan and I'm playing Myrdden, a wolfkin guardian druid. [00:02:13] Speaker F: Hi, I'm Livy and I'll be playing Bo, the dragon scent warrior. [00:02:19] Speaker A: And my name is Nate, and I'll be the GM for this adventure. So we left the five of you, Murden probably feeling a little bit sheepish, as unfortunately a nasty dream turned into a bit of a nasty situation. Bearish turned into a bit of a nasty situation of giving Beau a bit of a shiner and a big hole in the wall of their bedroom. But everyone is not in a good way, not in a sexy way. And the. The five of you have come down for breakfast in the Lazy Dog where you're currently staying at the moment. And you have just been having sort of like a deep talk with Kelphin, who has given you a little bit more information on how the world of Sanctuary was created. You know that originally he was a soldier who fought in a. In a big battle that happened in the city of Soleimani before the Eschaton happened. And while he doesn't know the reasons why it's looking like that, it was the Eschaton that saved. Something happened during the Eschaton that saved a good majority of citizens and soldiers and including the youngest member of the Soleimani High House, who people have just been mentioning as the Princess. And the Princess is the one who has made Sanctuary. Just before you were supposed to find out a little bit more information, you heard these triumphant. This triumphant fanfare come from outside. And as you listen more, you can hear more. More sort of joyous calls and people rushing past like footsteps hitting cobbles as people rush past the inn outside. As Kelphin has said, it is the friendship ceremony. He. He gets up from his seat and he sort of dusts himself down and he's. He looks at the five of you and he says, well, if you want to meet the Princess, this is probably gonna be the, the best time, it seems. And he sort of squints a bit and he seems. It seems almost a coincidence that you lot are here the day before a Friendship ceremony. They don't happen often, but here we are. Come on. And he pushes his. Sit in and. And sort of makes his way to the door. [00:05:32] Speaker B: Anything we should know before we go out there? [00:05:36] Speaker A: It's busy. It's a big. It's a big thing. It's, It's. It's hard to explain. [00:05:46] Speaker B: Come on off, Stella, let's go. Hey, Daisy. [00:05:54] Speaker A: So all of you are following Kelphin outside? [00:05:57] Speaker B: Sure. [00:05:59] Speaker A: So the, the five of you sort of wander outside and even without like any sort of hesitation as well, Rollo and BB and also Finway sort of follow out behind you as well. Finway sort of gives all of you a little wave as he sort of runs along with his. With his parents. And as you, as you make your way outside, like, you can now see the. The town of Sanctuary so much more brighter. You can see those brightly colored tiles on the, on the roofs, the higgle pigglety sort of layout of the houses. As I think I've previously said before, it looks like this town has been made by a child, but then sort of reorganized by adults. To make it more structurally sound. But the. It seems like a lot of people are rushing to in the same direction. And what you do notice is that there is a lot of sort of like youngish children, probably around the same age as this princess you've been hearing of as sort of like 9, 10, ish, 11, as they are. As they are chatting excitedly at one another. And it's just like, I'm gonna be picked. I'm gonna be picked. [00:07:28] Speaker D: No, it's me. [00:07:29] Speaker A: Get out of my way. As sort of all these little children sort of push, push out and sort of. Of try to beat one another in this direction that all these adults are also walking much more sensibly, but a little bit, but faster than usual as they make their way almost to this. This town center in a way. This big. This big space of cobblestone of sort of like. Sort of like a dusty pink cobblestone place that has this nicely situated trees that sort of sit in the. In the areas, making it a little bit more. A little bit more nicer to look at than just sort of blank cobblestone. The. The five of you are. Are looking at the people who are sort of making this crowd around what appears to be nothing. It just is just a space that sort of peers out into the forest into sort of like this big green and turquoise meadow and then that sort of peers off into forest. There's literally just like the crowd is just looking out into nothing. It just looks out into meadows and forests. And you can hear them all just sort of nattering to one another. And. [00:08:59] Speaker B: And I'm on the lookout for this princess. Supposedly she's gonna be here. [00:09:07] Speaker D: Nate, can you remind me with animal companions? I was just looking through my thing. I can't remember if you can see through their eyes. [00:09:18] Speaker A: Yes, you can. Yeah, you can. [00:09:19] Speaker D: Could I send brother talons up and see through his peepers to see what I can see further up? [00:09:27] Speaker A: Yep. [00:09:27] Speaker D: Of this. This pick. [00:09:30] Speaker A: As you. As you ask brother Talons politely to just go and have a little peek from a bird's eye view, would you [00:09:36] Speaker D: mind awfully just up there? [00:09:39] Speaker A: He ruffles. As he sort of spreads his massive wings and flies up, you notice that like, a lot of people who are around, you are suddenly sort of taken aback by this massive bird just sort of flying up. But they're not like. They're not like, what the bloody hell is that? Like, scared. It's almost just like, oh, it's a bird. [00:10:01] Speaker D: We're both so subtle [00:10:05] Speaker A: as. As this bird sort of flies up into the air. And Brother Talons looks down at the crowd. He can see sort of like a good. You know, he would probably say like a. A good 400 people have sort of made like a fairly big. [00:10:24] Speaker D: He's good at maths. Yeah, he's good counting. [00:10:27] Speaker A: One, two, three. It's a. It's a. It's a decent crowd. What he can definitely tell is that the children have arranged themselves at the front. They've sort of pushed their way through the crowd of adults, and the adults are sort of allowing them to go more at the. At the front of the. Of the. Of the group. But he also can't see anything. He. He kind of. He kind of flies off a little bit to sort of like this almost where the. The cobblestone hits the grass of this meadow, but there's nothing. It just hits this sort of like this very certain stop of the cobblestone and then just goes off into meadows. And he sort of swoops around a bit and then sort of comes down towards you, but there's nothing really on towards that you can see. And as. As brother Talon sort of sits on your. Sits back on your shoulder, a lorevar woman sort of looks at you and she goes, oh, what a lovely bird. [00:11:44] Speaker D: Oh, thank you. Thank you. He's rather lovely, isn't he? A fine companion. [00:11:51] Speaker A: While she also catches your eyes as well. Well, she notices the. The blood sanguine color of your. Of your irises, and she's like, my, my goodness, what a. What a fascinating color of red you have. Is that. That. I've never seen anything like that before. [00:12:14] Speaker D: Oh, well, you know how it is. One day you just wake up with these. [00:12:22] Speaker A: She looks at you and goes, well, I'm very sorry. I don't know what that's like, but I've never heard of anyone just waking up with different colored eyes. How extraordinary. I think. [00:12:40] Speaker B: I think Lucretia might lean in at this point and sort of experiment experimentally go, oh, you understand, a gift. And sort of raises her eyebrows as if the woman would assume she's talking about perhaps one of the princess's gifts. [00:12:56] Speaker A: Oh, did one of your children get picked? I mean, that's a funny. [00:13:01] Speaker B: She looks at Virgil. [00:13:06] Speaker A: I mean, it's a very strange gift, but if that's what you wanted, then sure. I don't. I don't remember. I don't remember seeing your child get paid. [00:13:20] Speaker B: We're very proud of her. [00:13:22] Speaker A: Yes, yes, very little child. [00:13:28] Speaker B: Amarantha. [00:13:30] Speaker D: Yes, Amarantha child. [00:13:33] Speaker A: I'm sure you know, she's very shy. [00:13:35] Speaker B: She doesn't go out much. Probably don't know her. [00:13:39] Speaker D: Yes, like a shadow sometimes on the breeze. [00:13:43] Speaker A: Oh, well, I mean that's, that's. I mean that's lovely. No, I can't say I. [00:13:52] Speaker D: Why died at her, like. [00:13:54] Speaker A: Oh, that's, that's quite frightening. She says, like, okay, well I'm, I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go back to my, my husband. [00:14:06] Speaker B: So lovely to meet you. [00:14:08] Speaker A: Lovely to. And then, yes, lovely to meet you. And she sort of decides off as [00:14:17] Speaker B: Homer Simpsons into the crowd. [00:14:24] Speaker F: As a child sized creature. [00:14:28] Speaker E: Disney. [00:14:29] Speaker D: And you now, Amarintha child. [00:14:32] Speaker B: Your name's Amarantha. Can I. [00:14:37] Speaker F: But it's being margarine. Can I, can I mingle myself to the front? [00:14:44] Speaker A: Well, Beau, as you sort of mingle your way to the front, it does seem that actually from what you've been told, there's not very many dragon scent in sanctuary. But it doesn't seem like anyone's really paying any attention to you. They kind of feel, feel you sort of going, moving away and they like [00:15:01] Speaker F: a child just kind of like. [00:15:02] Speaker A: Yeah, because they're too interested in looking out into this meadow. They're not actually paying any attention to you as you sort of, they just kind of think you're another child just trying to sort of get through the crowd. [00:15:16] Speaker B: Cowboy child. [00:15:20] Speaker D: To get through. [00:15:21] Speaker F: Can I, can I see some, is that, am I amongst the children? [00:15:24] Speaker A: Can I see some children? Actually, as you, as you do sort of like make your, your way through you, you bump into, you bump into someone who is like just a tiny bit taller than you. And despite his age, you're kind of guessing that he's probably like, like about 11, 12. But besides from his age and his height, he's actually quite stocky. As you, as you, as you bump into this, this small little wolfkin boy who, who kind of then raises his fists and he's just like, like, he's just like. Don't you dare. I'm. I'm here. First [00:16:21] Speaker D: fight the child. Fight child. [00:16:25] Speaker F: Well, you're not the first child I've killed in the last two days. [00:16:30] Speaker A: He just like, he looks at you, he said like and he looks up and down at you just like. Who you calling a child? I'm 12. [00:16:42] Speaker F: Well, are you now? You're a strapped young lad. What are you, what are you fighting for? [00:16:47] Speaker A: I'm gonna be picked by the princess this time round. You watch it. [00:16:53] Speaker F: Pick for what? [00:16:55] Speaker A: Pick to be her friend? Pick to go live in the castle. [00:17:00] Speaker F: How does she need to Pick people. Why can't you just do it on your own merit? [00:17:04] Speaker A: Well, no, because she. You stupid or something? [00:17:11] Speaker B: Oh, wow. This child's getting shot. [00:17:17] Speaker A: Not anyone can be her friend, you know, and she has to come down. She has to pick especially. She only picks the best. [00:17:25] Speaker F: Well, she picks the best. She might pick me. [00:17:27] Speaker A: He looks at you and I don't think so. I've been. I've been doing this for a couple of years now. This time I know he's like, shut up. [00:17:37] Speaker F: Maybe get a bit old. What are you, 12? [00:17:41] Speaker A: You. He could. You can see him sort of like scrunch up his face as this. As this really angers him. He's just like, shut up, you're old. And then he sort of runs away from you. [00:17:56] Speaker F: Good glint. Go around to the rest of the gang. [00:18:00] Speaker D: Good information. [00:18:06] Speaker A: As the. As the bow. [00:18:08] Speaker C: So you're. [00:18:08] Speaker A: You're at the front now, standing with the children and the rest of you have made your way to sort of mingle in within the crowd. Kelphin has sidled himself up to you, pally, and he's just like. He's just like, look alive, soldier. This is. This is where it gets weird as. [00:18:36] Speaker F: This is where it gets weird. [00:18:39] Speaker B: This. [00:18:39] Speaker C: This right now. Not everything else you see. [00:18:42] Speaker B: Not everything else. [00:18:45] Speaker A: HE LAUGHS and he. Guess you haven't seen anything yet. As. As the fanfare that you heard before rings out again and there's no, like, there's no people holding trumpets, there's no people holding any sort of instruments. This massive orchestral fanfare just emanates from just nowhere as right in front of you, this meadow that you see suddenly starts growing these flowers that just sort of like plop out of the. Out of the meadow first and start building up and up and up and up and up into a wall, into a tower, into a castle. As this castle suddenly forms itself out of these flowers that emerge out of the ground. And then they go, as these petals dissipates into the air, away. And you see this gaudy bright pink with blue tiles, massive castle just appear in this space where literally nothing was just a moment ago. [00:20:01] Speaker F: Wow. [00:20:04] Speaker A: The. The fanfare continues and everyone. You can hear people cheering and whooping. They're very excited. They've obviously seen this before, but they love to see it every time. And the. And the kids are just like, yeah, and they're clapping and they're very, very excited. The. As the. As the fanfare calms down and the. The crowd sort of quiets to wait. What happens next? These bright blue doors sort of are pushed open and striding out onto this stage is, is like a. Like this tall woman with like a high backed ponytail. She's wearing like this very regal formal white dress dress, high heels. She looks like she is not there to take any from anyone. As you. You all look at her like fairly confusingly because she is something that you like. She looks like a sprite, like a, like an Aquan sprite, but she is 5 foot 10. You have never seen a sprite like the size of like a Lorevar, like the height of a Lorevar, but she looks like an aquin sprite sprite but [00:21:45] Speaker B: tall sprite, but Mother Water [00:21:53] Speaker A: as she very good as she, as she comes out onto. As she comes out onto this, onto this large stage that has then sort of just like sort of cascaded out from. From the castle where these doors have opened from this sort of like this large marble stage sort of just then cascades out as she approaches the front of the stage and sort of puts her hands behind her back and sort of looks out to everyone as a couple of finely dressed like gold plated guards also follow her out as well. And you can't see their faces. Their faces are completely shield with a helmet. As they come out and they as they just sort of stand either side of this stage. [00:22:47] Speaker F: She. [00:22:48] Speaker A: She looks out to the crowd and she, she raises a hand and she goes. Fellow citizens of sanctuary, please welcome your princess. As she as she sort of opens a hand out, you then notice striding out of the door is something that who here, I mean probably all of you have seen who has ever seen a dragon spawn? [00:23:30] Speaker D: Virgil's been kind of locked away for most of his life. So unless we had a dragon spawn in the monastery, I don't know if he has. [00:23:38] Speaker A: I would probably say that Pali probably pally has seen a dragon spawn. Pally would have seen a dragon spawn as well. [00:23:47] Speaker B: Yes. Lucretia. Yeah, yeah. [00:23:52] Speaker E: So Bo, every time he looks in the mirror. [00:23:56] Speaker A: So the lot of you, the lot of you know what a dragon's spawn is, but a lot of you probably have never met a dragon spawn who are obviously like in terms of us, in terms of the people watching at home. They're like, we almost describe them as like angels from the gods and out walks from. From the doors. The doors are big enough to take on her heavy frame is this, is this large imposing figure of a dragonspawn with sort of like white like large wings, like light skin with almost the patterns and the tail of a koi fish. As she, as she as she sort of strides out quite elegantly but quite sternly looking almost as sternly as the. As the terror the Aquan sprite was, and looks into the crowd as she. As she then sort of looks at everyone. And then she. She opens her mouth and sort of blows out this large almost sort of like pinky purple. Purple flame. But there's elements of like glitter and powder paint and all sorts that sort of come out with this flame. It doesn't look intimidating. It looks sort of. It looks wondrous and magical and whimsical as it. So as she sort of just like puffs it out of her mouth. And where originally there was sort of like this little pedestal that was just in the middle of this stage, empty as the. As the fire and the. And the smoke, this purple pinky smoke sort of disappears. In a large, sort of like golden throne sits like a small. A small ace of our girl with a large golden crown on her head that sort of sits on her big billowing curls in a big frumpy pink dress. And she sits there and she is in a proper pout sits on this throne and she's just like, [00:26:36] Speaker B: Oh, no salad. [00:26:39] Speaker D: And she's never done anything wrong in her life. [00:26:45] Speaker A: And she. And she. She kind of like she doesn't want to engage with. She looks like she's not engaging with the crowd. She's just literally just kind of like just sitting there. Like someone has. Like she has been told that she has to go there or she's not having dessert. And she is having a proper little. Little quiet Marty to herself. Everyone. Everyone just sort of claps and cheers like this is nothing out of the usual, but they absolutely love it as this. As this small ace of our girl is just sort of sitting on this throne. She can't even reach her feet onto the bottom. They are literally like she's just got her feet sort of of dangling over the throne. And the. The aan sprite, she says. She says. Before we commence with the friendship ceremony, we have some very exciting news. Our artificer, Laney has been working hard and she has provided us with new ways of protecting sanctuary. Laney, would you mind joining me on stage? And the. You. The everyone sort of like is looking around, trying to sort of like grab a little peek as. As a woman in a. A Laura of our woman in a wheelchair sort of comes out from the crowd and she notices that. She notices that there isn't any slopes to get her up to the stage. There's only stairs and she's just Like h. And she, she taps something on her arm of her wheelchair until sort of like her wheelchair sort of almost the, the wheels kind of go like, like that and they, and they start to hover and they hover her up onto the stage as she, as she plants herself back down, the wheels go like that and she's. And she just sort of looks at the tall aquin sprite and she sank. Lady Rondanisa. Thank you. Thank you everyone. I've been working on some new officers to go out into the forest and hopefully protect us from the, from the Shadow Swords. But not only to protect us but to. To finally vanquish them so then we can start spreading out more into the forest, expand our farmland, expand our, our settlement and hopefully then make more room for us. Of course, it will require the princesses intervention. So I really hope that whoever is chosen as in the friendship ceremony today that one of your. One of your wishes from the family will be to ignite these, these new automatons with, with mana so that they can live and they can head out and that they can. And then they can protect us. And she, she brings up this little dial that she's got in her hand, this little sort of like item that she has, this little sort of control pad and she sort of turns some dials on it. And out of the doors, the doors then sort of open again and out of the doors on these sort of like wheelie little carts, kind of two different sizes of automaton robots that you've now kind of gotten used to. They don't look like anything like Explorer and they don't look anything like officer that you have originally met. They, they look far much more different. One of the, so the, the smaller of the robots that come out. Let me get the artwork up. Lots of artwork now get ready folks. So the first of the robots that get wheeled out are these, are these tiny little drones. They're almost like, almost like more advanced versions of Explorer, but this time they have little arms that can sort of do things. They look a little bit more robust. They have these sort of like little treadmills that sort of like forbet them along. But obviously with them not being activated at the moment, they just come out on these wheelied little carts. But the next ones are the ones that sort of are curious probably to the lot of you as the crowd sort of go, as you can hear sort of like people, people taking a breath back as also out on these carts come about four of these, these large machines that are pool boys that are Standing on blades. They've got arms for blades. They've won. They're holding, like, onto this massive spear that comes out. And Lainey says, as you can see, I've taken. I might have taken some inspiration from our enemies, but, you know, fight fire with fire, as they say. And I, I, I really hope that this will please the princess in hoping that we can protect Sanctuary even more than we already do. So if so, thank you. They. These are our new. Our new protection officers. And she. It's obvious that she's not very keen on making, like, speeches. She's just like, any. Any question. [00:33:30] Speaker C: Questions. [00:33:32] Speaker A: And she looks to the crowd and the crowd are just sort of like, [00:33:39] Speaker B: I think Lucretia's gonna look around at her companions a bit pointedly. And I think, does anybody catch her eye? [00:33:54] Speaker E: What maidens and mid. And certainly looking around just a bit. [00:33:59] Speaker D: Yeah, I think Virgil's standing right next to you. After we've adopted this imaginary child together. [00:34:10] Speaker B: Do those look familiar to anybody? [00:34:17] Speaker E: MYRDEN GROWLS AFFIRMATIVELY the sheriffs kind of stood with us, right? [00:34:27] Speaker A: Yeah. Kelphin is there. He's sort of just clapping politely. [00:34:34] Speaker E: Mina's gonna lead into Kelphin and, like, in his ear. Do you regularly get these new golems? [00:34:48] Speaker A: No, these are, these are new. These are something that Lainey's been working on for quite a while now. They're. They're meant to protect us. Well, she wants to completely annihilate the shadow swords that hang around outside. We've had people who've tried to go up against them, but they, they're not the easiest. Some have barely got out alive. [00:35:35] Speaker E: And they're all just kind of stood. Right, Stood in her. [00:35:38] Speaker A: They are. Stood completely motionless. [00:35:42] Speaker E: Okay. When she asked for the mana to, to power these things. How, How, how, how are you? He says, kind of gesturing to the crowd. How were you supposed to give that. [00:36:01] Speaker A: Well, we don't give anything. It's the, it's the princess that powers them. The crowd don't have. This is how we knew you came from the outside. People here. We don't have. We don't have magic anymore. I guess that was something I should have told you earlier as well. And he laughs. [00:36:34] Speaker E: I had my suspicions when I lit the fire last night. Like, I'm. I'm talking to him, but I'm not looking at him anymore. I'm just, like, slowly turning my head to look at Lucretia, who I'm guessing is in earshot. Have you ever seen anything like these things? [00:37:06] Speaker B: I guess the closest thing Lucretia might know about is things like. Well, Tavarian from Alicia, who is a soul living in a. In a big metal body casing, like mech suit thing. But so Vitri says, well, yes, but they were powered by living souls. I. I don't. Would she have seen actual sort of automatons like. Like Lainey's making Nate not of this advancement. [00:37:45] Speaker A: They. There would be some sort of. Like, maybe some sort of automatons that are run by some sort of magical power in elsewhere, but they would not run like Explorer does. They wouldn't run like officer does. [00:38:01] Speaker B: Okay, yes. Not. Not like this Murden. No, [00:38:08] Speaker D: that is a cause for some concern, I think. [00:38:14] Speaker A: There is. There's a little hand that comes up from the crowd as. As a. As a Teran sprite sort of raises their hand and Laney goes, oh, yes, you, you down there. And he says, how. How. How do we know that they're not gonna hurt us? How do they. How are they going to tell the difference? And Lainey goes, ah, brilliant question. Well, we have made sure that when these are activated, the. The part of the wish is that it doesn't hurt anyone who lives in Sanctuary. That is the point. So anyone outside of Sanctuary, they're the ones who get it. [00:38:58] Speaker F: Mo's like sitting at the front and then turns around, [00:39:04] Speaker A: okay. [00:39:11] Speaker C: In his head, just. Just slowly taking this in, going, so that's not good for us at all. How quickly can they get a postcode? How quickly can they sign up? [00:39:30] Speaker A: Yeah, can we. [00:39:30] Speaker F: Can we rent a place? [00:39:32] Speaker B: Can we apply for citizenship of Sanctuary quickly? [00:39:35] Speaker D: What about squatters rights? [00:39:39] Speaker F: Green card? I'll marry. Who can I marry? [00:39:42] Speaker B: We've already trashed our accommodation. Yes. Oh my gosh. [00:39:49] Speaker A: As the. As the five of you. Sorry, Fear. We. [00:39:54] Speaker C: No, I just. Just went, no. Like, oh no. [00:39:57] Speaker E: Oh no. [00:39:58] Speaker A: Oh no. [00:39:59] Speaker B: Oh no. [00:40:04] Speaker A: Yeah. As. As the. As the. As the five of you. Well, the four of you, Bow is right at the front, are having this sort of conversation. You. You may not hear that. You sort of see this Terran, this aquin sprite, this tall aquin sprite sort of lean in and sort of try and talk to the princess. And is. Is trying to sort of say this stuff is trying to kind of just like. And you can see the little girl just get angry and angrier and she kind of. Of goes like, I don't. I don't want to. And you can just hear Lady Spry kind of just trying to be firm but nice. And this little girl at the top of her lungs just screams and goes Like, I don't want to. As you feel this immense. You can't see anything, but you feel this sort of immense amount of power of this invisible mana. Just wave right over the whole of the crowd into the castle, over these robots. As everyone is stunned and is just looking at the stage as then the robots start creaking a little bit and start like looking at the sort of crowd. The. The little robots sort of like jump off the. They start jumping off the carts that brought them on and start jumping onto. Off this stage and onto the ground as they are scouting the area and the. [00:42:08] Speaker B: Retreat. [00:42:10] Speaker A: And Lainey's sort of like looking at them, kind of going like, okay, okay, everyone don't panic. Like it looks. It looks like they're. It looks like they're alive now, but you know they won't hurt anyone here. As these four robots who like either side of the stage sort of immediately just all zone into the five of you. [00:42:34] Speaker D: Oh no. [00:42:37] Speaker B: Intruders spotted. [00:42:40] Speaker A: And Dan, if you'll swap to the map. [00:42:44] Speaker F: Yeah, we're here. [00:42:45] Speaker D: There we are. [00:42:47] Speaker B: Oh no, there's four of those blady boys. Oh no. So many little men. [00:42:56] Speaker A: There's many little men right above board. Let me see if I can get you all back into combat because now we're going to have a fight. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. [00:43:08] Speaker B: Not in combat. Nathan. [00:43:11] Speaker C: We were enjoying the ceremony so much, so quiet. And we are technically renting a room. So really we haven't done anything wrong. [00:43:22] Speaker B: We're not shadowing. [00:43:24] Speaker A: You're having a fight. [00:43:26] Speaker B: No. [00:43:32] Speaker C: Well, fine. [00:43:34] Speaker B: It's the end of the campaign. It's the Big Bad. [00:43:39] Speaker E: There's so many tokens. Oh my God. [00:43:49] Speaker B: Libby's got to be in bed by 11. Nate, [00:43:55] Speaker A: this is what you have when a bear turns up in episode six. So these [00:44:06] Speaker E: just let me have a bad dream again and I'll. I'll have this all cleared up by the evening as. [00:44:13] Speaker B: So maybe this is your bad dream. [00:44:16] Speaker D: This is all of our bad dream. We're all having a bad dream together. [00:44:20] Speaker B: This cannot be happening. [00:44:22] Speaker A: All of these robots are gonna. Gonna start sort of powering like making their way off the stage. As they start to approach you, Lainey is standing on the top of the stage kind of going like, everyone, it's. It's all right. As people. People are. Are seeing these. These monsters, these big robots sort of approach them and they have just started screaming and all the children have started screaming and are just running off in all different directions. And Lainey is trying to just shout from the no, no, they won't attack you. They. They only attack people who. They. They only attack figures who. Who are not part. As. As the. As the. The dragon scent and the Aquan sprite sort of gather in front of the Princess to sort of protect her as they watch on. As they notice the five of you and pretty much just stand there and stand there and watch. [00:45:28] Speaker B: They'll only rend your flesh if you're not from Sanctuary. [00:45:33] Speaker A: They'll only flare you alive if you're [00:45:35] Speaker D: not from San, [00:45:39] Speaker B: then only squeeze your head till your eyes pop out if you're not. [00:45:43] Speaker C: How has the Princess reacted to this? Is she still pouting, sulking, or is she excited that something's happening now? [00:45:53] Speaker E: She. [00:45:53] Speaker A: She actually looks slightly. She was a little bit like. She. She looked a little bit like. Not surprised to begin with, but after seeing these robots sort of like take action and acting quite affirmative towards the direction of people, she's now suddenly looking very scared as. Especially as like the Aquan sprite and the. And the dragonspawn have sort of stepped in front of her to guard. So, yeah, these figures are approaching you. What would you like to do? [00:46:32] Speaker B: I think Lucretia will probably go pally, but would it be a good time to put your big boy voice on and appeal to the powers at the front? [00:46:44] Speaker C: Yeah, I can do that. I have. Let's check if I've got anything of very big use for this sort of thing. I do have voice of reason. [00:47:00] Speaker B: Hell yeah. That sounds great. [00:47:03] Speaker C: Yes. For this situation, I'm going to spend a hope. [00:47:11] Speaker A: Can I. [00:47:12] Speaker C: Can I do that? Hang on. Okay, Hang on. Yeah, I spend a stress. Okay, let's go. [00:47:21] Speaker B: What is it? [00:47:22] Speaker C: So I'm gonna. [00:47:23] Speaker B: Happening. Exactly what does your voice of reason do? [00:47:27] Speaker C: So voice of reason. You speak. Actually put it into my. I should do now. Cool. So voice of reason. I put it in the chat. Let me put it in the chat. This is an old, very strong, interesting speech roll. Nice. [00:47:48] Speaker D: Okay, [00:47:52] Speaker C: so for this reason, you speak of unmatched power and authority. You have advantage on action roles to escalate violent situations or convince someone to follow the order. Additionally, you're emboldened in moments of duress, so when all of your stress slots are marked, you gain a plus one bonus to your proficiency for diamond lock damage roles. So that's. That's great. [00:48:12] Speaker F: Cool. [00:48:13] Speaker C: So, yeah, I'm going to. Yeah, do that. So I'm going to step forward, I feel like. Because obviously Bo is kind of on his own as well at the front at the moment. So as all the kids have run off and everyone started to. To scar. [00:48:29] Speaker F: Stop that kid to start a fight with him. Use him as a human shield. [00:48:39] Speaker C: I feel like Pally will try to summer the same courage he had facing a damn bear in the face only a few hours ago. Just be like, we are not enemies. We are here like we are. We are friends, not foe. Please, please call these robots off as. [00:49:02] Speaker A: And you're saying that to who this [00:49:05] Speaker C: as loudly as possible. So if the robots are approaching us with violent intent, I guess. Guess we would do. [00:49:15] Speaker D: You said to the princess. [00:49:16] Speaker C: Yeah, I guess maybe saying it in the direction of the princess makes sense if she's able to stop them. [00:49:21] Speaker A: Okay. [00:49:25] Speaker C: And I'm happy to roll as well if I can. [00:49:28] Speaker A: Yeah, if you can roll me a. Because let me just. Just. [00:49:33] Speaker C: I have advantage on action rolls to de escalate with voice of reason [00:49:39] Speaker F: that be a presence check with a advantage. [00:49:43] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, I'll do that. And I also spend a hope. So I have advantage and I'll spend a hope which is trust. Trust me though. I have golden retriever energy. I'm trying to think of what I have a plus four in golden retriever energy. And I feel like that would appeal to a young princess. So let's. Let's try and go for that angle. [00:50:05] Speaker D: You look like a knight from like. [00:50:08] Speaker C: Yeah, sure, let's. I'm going to go with that sort of like friend, not foe and yeah, we'll see. We're going to see. [00:50:16] Speaker B: Oh. [00:50:17] Speaker D: Oh, hey, look at that. [00:50:19] Speaker C: 24 with hope. [00:50:21] Speaker A: 24 with hope. As you. As you direct. As you direct these calls up to the stage, up to this young girl who's sitting in this throne, you as. As you. As you say it out loud. And then you look at her, you can tell that she. That it's obvious that she has no control over what's happening. She is in tears now. She's like sobbing and like a kid who knows that they've made a mistake and they are just watching that mistake unfurl and they are crying because they are struggling to comprehend what is happening. [00:51:03] Speaker C: The. [00:51:04] Speaker A: The aquin sprite and the dragon scent sort of look at you. And as they. As they stand there quite, quite firmly, obviously with their. With their position to look after the princess, you can tell that looking from them, it seems like the only person who's really sort of hearing that those calls are Lainey, who is there on the. On the stage sort of just like twiddling the knobs on this little button. She's just like, just, just do what you can. Like, I'm. I'm trying. I'm really trying to stop them. Just. Just like, just. Just. I'm not sure. Just. I don't know. As she's really struggling to. To. To sort of fight them back. [00:51:49] Speaker C: Oh, my gosh. Can I quickly check? Is Kelphin just run off or is he watching? [00:51:56] Speaker A: You can see Kelphin. He is. He is. You can see him in the distance, and he is helping other citizens. He is helping them sort of get out of the way in an orderly fashion. [00:52:10] Speaker C: Well, that tactic didn't work, so I've got to go ahead to, you know, swing. So I'm gonna run towards the closest one, take out my. My axe, and take out Mirror Cleaver and stop it hitting me before it hits me first. So that is my. That is my plan. So, yeah, Moon Cleaver time. All right. So I spent a hope. Oh, yeah. Spend another hope train since birth hit this thing. So I'm getting this one here, here. Up the right. [00:52:57] Speaker A: Nice. [00:52:58] Speaker F: 19. [00:52:59] Speaker A: Yes, a 19 does hit this figure. [00:53:03] Speaker C: Amazing damage. 19. [00:53:14] Speaker A: 19 with a 19. That is minor damage. [00:53:21] Speaker C: You don't like that, but okay. [00:53:25] Speaker B: Really, really don't like that [00:53:29] Speaker A: with. Are you in close range melee range? [00:53:38] Speaker C: Close, but no, I'm in melee now. [00:53:40] Speaker A: You're in melee range with you being in melee range. And you and you and you bring Moon Cleaver down onto this. Onto this mech. It immediately sort of like extends like these spikes that come out of its armor, which sort of grabs you on the. On the side and send that into the ch. So he can mark a stress. And he rolls. Rolls 1d10 plus 5 damage once you. And he rolls in a 13 in retaliation against you as a. As a direct hit. [00:54:27] Speaker C: Oh, evasion. Yeah, my evasion's 11, so yeah, that hits. [00:54:31] Speaker A: Well, that's his. That's his damage. [00:54:35] Speaker C: Okay. Oh, okay. Learning. Learning all about everything. That's great. It's been so long since I've done this. Okay, well, I'm going to spend an armor slot. No, this is my minor, actually. Oh, yeah, I'm going to spend an armor. So that's all good. [00:54:55] Speaker A: Thank you. [00:54:56] Speaker C: Cool. [00:54:58] Speaker A: I can see that. I think Virgil was the next one who put his hand up first. [00:55:04] Speaker B: So. [00:55:04] Speaker A: Virgil. [00:55:06] Speaker D: So I have Know thy enemy, which I can observe a creature which I'm going to observe one of these, the untouched tall boys. And I can ask you either their unmarked hit points and stress, their difficulty and damage thresholds, their tactics and standard attack damage dice, or their features and experience. [00:55:31] Speaker C: Okay. [00:55:32] Speaker D: What do we think would be the most useful to know about these guys? And I can tell you with my [00:55:40] Speaker F: special eyes damage thresholds. Damage thresholds. Yeah. [00:55:46] Speaker B: Yeah, do it. [00:55:47] Speaker F: Cool. [00:55:48] Speaker D: So I will. I'll put that in the chat. [00:55:50] Speaker A: Nice. [00:55:51] Speaker D: Is that an instinct roll? Don't miss anything I can use for this. [00:55:57] Speaker B: That. [00:56:01] Speaker D: Five with hope? Hell no. [00:56:04] Speaker A: No. [00:56:05] Speaker D: But I got a hope. [00:56:06] Speaker A: So you. You look at these and go oh, beefy boys. [00:56:12] Speaker D: That's just a big boy right there. [00:56:14] Speaker B: Just a big boy. [00:56:15] Speaker A: He's tough. [00:56:17] Speaker D: He's tough. [00:56:19] Speaker F: He's tough. [00:56:21] Speaker A: Yes. Unfortunately you cannot. You. You can gauge probably with a hope. I will say that gauging from. From Pali's attack. [00:56:32] Speaker D: They're a bit tough. [00:56:33] Speaker A: That they're pretty tough. They're pretty tough. [00:56:35] Speaker D: They're a bit tough. [00:56:36] Speaker A: They're a bit tough. They're pretty tough. [00:56:37] Speaker B: Oh dear. [00:56:38] Speaker D: Cool. [00:56:39] Speaker C: Okay. [00:56:40] Speaker D: In that case, can I send Brother Talons just to give a swipe? [00:56:44] Speaker A: Of course you can. [00:56:45] Speaker D: At the one that just attacked Paliar. [00:56:47] Speaker A: Yeah. Because he's my. [00:56:49] Speaker D: My good lead and he will. I will use the experience Death from Above. That's a 22. [00:57:04] Speaker A: I think that's a little bit better. Yeah, that does hit. And are you going after the one that Pal's not attacking at the moment? [00:57:11] Speaker D: The one that it. That just attacked Pal with his. [00:57:17] Speaker A: The one that's just attacked Pally. [00:57:18] Speaker D: Okay. [00:57:18] Speaker A: So Brother Talons. Yeah, he'll go. He'll fly over there, roll for damage. [00:57:27] Speaker D: How do I do that? Oh yeah. On the. Where's my. Where'd it go? Where did my dimash go? [00:57:36] Speaker B: Oh no. [00:57:38] Speaker D: Oh no. My dimash. For your damage, I'm gonna ask a really stupid question. How do I do that with a pet? [00:57:48] Speaker A: I think it is if you go [00:57:50] Speaker F: into your companion sheet. [00:57:52] Speaker D: Yes. [00:57:53] Speaker F: All of it's in there. [00:57:58] Speaker D: Oh, I think I just. I just did an action roll. That's why I was st. You have [00:58:06] Speaker F: you skills same stat so it won't make any difference. [00:58:08] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:58:09] Speaker F: Really. [00:58:10] Speaker D: There you go. There you go. 26. [00:58:17] Speaker A: And that is a 20. 2020. So yeah, as Brother Talons kind of goes just. I'm sure that's what a sound of Owl attacking as it goes down to sort of like claw at what probably looks like like the eye of this. Of this machine. He. He sort of. [00:58:35] Speaker D: He's an He. [00:58:37] Speaker A: He scrambles and attacks at it and it obviously is sort of like battered back. But again it only takes minor damage. [00:58:48] Speaker D: Y. [00:58:51] Speaker A: As p. As you. As you look at Brother Talons sort of equally sort of like doing his best and you look at Moon Cleaver and you're. You're feeling like that that hit didn't quite like make it. You, you look at the rest, you look at your friends behind you, and you look at this in this imposing sort of like tower of like little robots sort of like imposing on them, followed behind by two of these other bigger robots. And you're like, if we don't do something drastic, something is gonna happen. And behind Myrden, Lucretia and Virgil, behind you, Rollo appears with that warhammer that you saw him from the night before. And Kelphin appears behind you now with a hulking great longsword that I think most of you would know from the insignias. Has the insignias and runes of AR engraved onto it. And they're like, well, might as well help you out. [01:00:12] Speaker C: Help. [01:00:14] Speaker A: And we'll end it there. So we will come back to this fight in episode eight.
