I am DM Dan and we are the explorers of elsewhere. And we are playing live. We're currently nostrils deep in tales from elsewhere. Our Dagger Heart playthrough. Our adventurers, our explorers have been spelunking that through a mysterious set of cave like tunnels they've in search of a research team that's gone missing. They found them, but it would seem that they cannot go from whence they came and must now find an alternative, an alternate exit. But in doing so, in looking for that alternative they have found bad stuff. Which is slightly blocked from line of sight by some terrain. But they found a large pool of what appears to be corrupted tainted manner. And what appears to be. You know what? I'm gonna kill that wall. There we go. What appears to be three kind of manifestations of wizards from the war between dragons that happened that concluded 18 months prior. It appears to be two Wizards, two Mages and then one leader of a sort. Some self important gentleman of a dragon sense disposition. But yes, as the. As the flames from the dragon sense back splay into a kind of a mockery of wings and fire ripples from his claws up to his wrists. We will. Oh, we did. What do we decide on for the Dagger Heart alternative to roll the action trackers in play? Let's. Okay, so as the flames lick up from his back, the Action Tracker is in play. Who is. As we turn on the battle music, who is going first? As these three figures kind of prepare for a skirmish with you seemingly stood atop some hardened crystallized. Well, the. The manipul seems to have hardened and crystallized into a kind of a simile of a stone crypt or temple or shrine or of some sort. Yeah. Who's going first? [00:03:57] Speaker B: I would like to go first. [00:03:58] Speaker A: You would like to go first? [00:04:00] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:04:02] Speaker B: As a car hearing this, this booming voice from. From the looks of like, people who he. Like who. Who resemble people who he was a prisoner of for. For a few years during the war. He is gonna feel like a surge of rage from that, a surge of duty as well. He is going to. How far can I go? [00:04:40] Speaker A: So you can go six base. So that's far. [00:06:00] Speaker A: Okay, so everyone else, you catch a breath for a moment as you watch Azakar, like, rush towards the edge of the manipul. And there's a small leap as you leap from the, you know, the edge onto the hardened crystallized surface. You can see the. There is still liquid mana beneath this, much like the surface of a frozen lake, but it seems sturdy and doesn't kind of crack underfoot or anything. But yeah, you barrel towards the. The glowing figures in front of you. [00:06:45] Speaker B: And I am going to. As. As a car is running towards this dragon scent especially. He is. You can see like his hands starting to crack as he is producing another bolt beacon as he sort of screeches to a halt and then just. Just blasts it from his hand. [00:07:13] Speaker A: I will take a fear as an aside from your mirror. Yeah, go for it. [00:07:19] Speaker B: Spend a hope on that and badoom. So that is a. That's a 10 plus 2. That's a 12. Let's see if there's anything else I can do. I'm gonna spend another hope on that. I don't think it's gonna do much, but I'm gonna spend another hope on that. Even though I get a hope from the role to put an extra 2 on that for Aya's soldier. [00:07:51] Speaker A: Okay, that seems very prudent right now. [00:07:56] Speaker B: To fight against sort of like this arcane being. Let's see what else I can do? No, I think I'll leave it at that. So that's, that's only a 12. So I don't know if that's. That's probably not going to be enough. But that's a 12. [00:08:19] Speaker A: Is it 12 total? [00:08:20] Speaker B: Oh, actually, yeah. No, it's a 14 total. [00:08:22] Speaker A: 14 total, yeah. [00:08:33] Speaker B: So yeah, as he, as he sort of, as he sort of screeches to a halt like far enough as he knows his training like has taught him this. This crackle of light that he has been conjuring with his hand is going to shoot out of his right right palm, heading straight for the dragon scent image. [00:08:55] Speaker A: Okay, so as this kind of beam of divine energy rockets out towards the dragon scent, the figure sort of like stoops low, like into a more steady, steady stance. And then as the beam is about to strike, these kind of fiery wings emanating from his back lunge forward and wrap around him like a cloak. And the beam kind of shatters across the flaming wings. And with a like a lofty sweep, the wings part and the, the figure, the spectral figure in front of you, a face contorted in disgust like lamp well kind of snarls at you. [00:09:53] Speaker F: You dare bring her magic here. [00:09:57] Speaker A: He says as he then you rolled a yo Hope I'm going to spend a fear to have him activate. So I go down to two as this figure sort of like lifts a hand up and it's holding what appears to be a wand. So the corrupted echo responds with O only a three rolls. That's a hearty nat one. So the, the beam arcs towards you and that also kind of shatters across your your form as the like eye as light protects you. The dragon scent snarls and as he is relentless and may activate twice per GM move, he will then like the corner of his mouth tilts up in a snarl as he says. [00:11:12] Speaker F: It would seem I underestimated you. [00:11:16] Speaker A: And surprisingly he surges towards you until he's in melee and will use a fractured memory to the figure so it rushes towards you. The, the wings like splay out as it lifts up off to the lifts off the ground and then hurtles back to like earth in front of you, landing with a thunderous slam. It's gonna make a D20 plus two attack against you as a car. A 15 to hit. [00:12:04] Speaker B: Yeah, that hits. [00:12:06] Speaker A: Okay, you take two D8 plus 10 damage. 21 damage. As you're rocked off your feet and kind of collapse to the ground, you are also vulnerable as this figure sort of like looms over you. And this kind of dark majesty radiates from the. From its form. I'll give you the exhausted thing for now. [00:12:45] Speaker B: I'm gonna spend. I'm gonna spend two armor slots because I'm guessing it's like a meets it beats it sort of situation that we're going with. [00:12:53] Speaker A: My. [00:12:54] Speaker B: My severe damage, like, limit is 20. [00:12:59] Speaker A: Okay. [00:12:59] Speaker B: So I'm gonna spend two armor slots to get me down to 19. So I only take major damage instead. [00:13:05] Speaker A: Okay. So two hit points worth of damage. And. Yeah. So as this dragon sink, kind of slams down and then stands tall, it lifts a hand and regards the other three of you still kind of on the shore. [00:13:22] Speaker F: Look how easily you fall. [00:13:25] Speaker A: He bellows. Who would like to go next? [00:13:31] Speaker C: Straight away, unless cowl or ray reacts like Vanier's just almost predator mode. Just grabs the floor and just lunges like a wolf just plowing. I'm gonna make an agility roll to try and get up in this guy's. [00:13:52] Speaker A: Face before you do it. This is going to be a live experiment. Hot. Bear with me for one second. If I. How quickly can we kill Azuko if I roll everyone? I don't really need the rolls, but if I do this. Did that work? Almost like he's running on all fours. The gauntlet. He propels himself forward. Almost like the wind coming off the back of his back ornaments like a speeding rocket towards this. This entity. As I will make an agility roll to see if I get there. [00:14:49] Speaker A: Okay. [00:14:53] Speaker C: And because I got the hope to burn, I would like to use my. Where is it? Details. I have an experience called thrill of the hunt. [00:15:10] Speaker A: Okay. [00:15:12] Speaker C: Where seeing this dangerous entity almost instills like a instinctual excitement of predator and prey within Vanir as he lunges forward towards this creature who he wants to best and constantly combat. So I will spend a hope to use that if that's okay. DM. [00:15:35] Speaker A: Yeah. That takes you down to three. [00:15:38] Speaker C: And that will give me plus two to my agility roll. So as you kind of leap from the shore as well and land on the crystallized like mana pool, oddly, as you're running across, you notice that the sort of like the haptic feedback that you're getting from the soles of your feet, it feels like you're running on stone, but to look at it, it looks like you're running on glass. [00:16:44] Speaker C: Okay. But yeah, you see, in this moment, as I'm just go checking my abilities, which. Just making sure I haven't got anything interesting that I need to take a note of. It's been a while. Yeah. Cool. So, yeah, so basically, yeah, as he's lunging forward, like wind and ice, is just rocketing off these gauntlets and stone gauntlets, has himself next to Azakar, and with like an almighty beep, raises a gauntlet and like almost rocket punch towards this entity. And I shall roll to attack. Three. Yeah, let's do this. Oh, come on. 8, 9, 10, 11. To hit with hope. [00:17:48] Speaker A: Okay, so you'll get your fifth hope. But as you kind of swing this thunderous gauntlet round with a strong right, the dragon scent, like you up close, it's. It's like it's a creature made of magma almost, but there's no kind of heat emanating from it, and there's like motes of moving light kind of floating within its form. But this dragon scent, for all of its seeming like his seeming etherealness, there's a certainly a very solid heft as the dragon scent reaches a hand up and catches your gauntlet with one flaming hand. And then like turns to look and turns to look at you with these blazing yellow eyes. [00:18:44] Speaker F: Pathetic. [00:18:46] Speaker A: He spits. [00:18:49] Speaker C: Yeah, it's almost like fire and ice, like, meeting each other in this moment. And Vanya is just smiling and snarling in this joy of battle. [00:19:02] Speaker B: Just, just. [00:19:04] Speaker C: Ready to go again. [00:19:05] Speaker A: Okay. When he can, who's going next, Gal or Rayri? [00:19:13] Speaker D: I'm happy to go. Come on, Rayri. He's like, oh, I guess we're doing this then, as the two of them. [00:19:23] Speaker C: Just. [00:19:26] Speaker D: Like absolutely absolute maniacs. And I'm going to spend a hope and I'm going to use my ability, which is natural familiar. And what she does is she just kind of just goes into like one of her like, like, like lava space buns. She's just kind of like funneling around in there. She just takes out a Little clump of lava and just like pops it on the floor and it just. It just goes. And it just sprouts little legs and it just starts running around like a little lava sprite. [00:20:16] Speaker A: Okay, I. I will find you a thing for that. [00:20:22] Speaker D: Where's my. [00:20:25] Speaker A: What's it called? Natural familiar. [00:20:28] Speaker D: Familiar. [00:20:29] Speaker A: Okay. [00:20:30] Speaker D: Basically, I get an elemental. I also have an experience which is lightning speed which I want to use to add to my role and spend my last hope because I've only had one hope for a long time. [00:31:40] Speaker A: Yeah. And you watch as the crossbow bolt kind of shatters across this figures this elementals like skin. But the. So whilst the rest of it is somewhat kind of fluid and you know, looks like a conglomeration of moving mana, this one spot now seems solid. Anything else, Cal was that. And through your experiences in the war, you know that you've been afflicted with some sort of magical malady of sorts. So let's put a poisoned on you. So you are cursed. So if you make any rolls with hope, this mage can spend a stress to instead make you roll with fear the other. That's an action. The other will do the same on Rayri. So Rayri and Vinnie, you are both cursed. Oh, there's actually a curse thing. Okay, we'll use that. The two of you are cursed. So if you roll hope I can spend stress to instead make you roll with fear instead. That'll be their turns. Then. The corrupted echo, now that you're all handily gathered around, will attempt to cast another spell from its fractured memory. So I'll mark a stress to roll a. Okay. Oh boy. As these two curses kind of reach out and enshroud cow, Rayri and Vinnie, the dragon scent, kind of with a bell like a buffet of his wings, kind of launches into the air. And spreading his arms wide, a fan of flame explodes out towards all of you. As you're all living close, I need to make attacks against all targets within close range. The gauntlets themselves, reacting to that divine nature, just explode with primal wind and ice as this almost like hurt hurricane fist barrels to this enemy. And just almost like this like explosive bolt like shredding icy wind, just almost shreds and obliterates this creature entire body. [01:06:59] Speaker B: And as you do that just before this, the body sort of obliterates. You can see Azakar like literally sawing his scimitar straight into the heart of this. Okay. [01:07:14] Speaker C: I can almost imagine the divine nature of that. That moment almost evaporates the arcane magic that holds this form together. [01:07:27] Speaker B: And as. And as this body, just before it obliterates, Azakar will lean in and says Aya's blessing. Wishes you peace. [01:07:44] Speaker A: Cracks of cracks like rupture. Under the sheer concussive force of your combined attack, the. The manifestation in front of you fully crystallizes into a brittle glass like structure. And cracks of light appear across its form. And just as you go to deliver that kind of like the concussive thud from your. From your punch, Vanier kind of ripples outwards across its body, just separating chunks of crystal in. In different directions. Like in a. In a. In a fan away from you, Azakai, your scimitar is already planted like skewered through its chest where its heart would be. And you are face to face with this drag, this. This crystallized memory of a dragon scent wizard from the past. And as you say, those Words I. As a blessing, the cracks reach up like it detonate it and it. It explodes away from you. The. The eyes, the stare at you, looking oddly thankful. The last thing that remains of it before it explodes into a thousand shards. And as the memory shatters, so to do the two. The. The memories of the two mages behind it. And as you. As the two of you kind of drop and land to the like drop back to the ground as a car. What you all hear this kind of echoey voice ripple through the cave. [01:09:43] Speaker F: I did it for you, Mevania. [01:09:51] Speaker A: And with that, the cave goes silent as the foul corrupting presence is banished. What now? [01:10:17] Speaker C: As we drop to the floor from that like immense powerful blow between us, I. After catching our breath, I immediately swing around to Azakar and in like a like huffing and puffing, he's like we make a pretty good team, don't we? And I reach out for a hand like arm grab to try and help him up. [01:10:46] Speaker B: Yeah, Azakar grabs your hand and he says, I could not think of a. Of a greater ally. [01:10:53] Speaker A: Thank you. In the corner. Sorry. Sorry I derailed that emotional moment. Like as the two of you, Azakar and Vanier, as the two of you kind of. Kind of affirm these pledges to one another. Callum Rayri. Your attention is caught by the. The sound of fast approaching footsteps. And you turn to see tree sort of like sprinting like you hear huffing and puffing. Presumably she's climbing up that ten foot ledge. And then you see a sort of like running to the edge of the. The mana pool. And like she stops like proper like slams on the brakes to make sure she doesn't go face first into it. And then you see it kind of. She audibly says ew. She looks around at all of this kind of corrupted congealed manner. And then she looks up to the four of you. And I. I don't know if it has anything to do with what's just happened here, but the portal's activated. [01:12:20] Speaker C: Let us get off this. I'm looking down to see if the mana pool is starting to desolidify. [01:12:28] Speaker A: It's getting a bit squishy underfoot, that's for sure. [01:12:31] Speaker E: Yep, let's go. [01:12:33] Speaker A: But you also notice as you quickly step off the like the glassy surface that the, that sickly reddishness is seemingly like the pool is starting to lighten in color. And by the time the. The four of you have made it back onto solid land and are beginning to make your way out, kind of following after tree you notice it seems to be reverting to the similar kind of light blue magenta ish hues of the other pores that you've seen in this cave. Yeah. Seemingly cleansing itself of its. Of the taint whatever caused. Caused that corruption. Yeah. Trees wittering as the. The four of you kind of hurry back after her. We. We sounded like you were having a fight and then we. I mean well, we didn't really want to stick on Oz in case we got in the way but we then we heard like a loud bang and there was some roaring and I think it sounded like you were like eating explosions or something. But I. I don't know. But yeah. Then. Then suddenly there was this kind of blast of light from the. The end of the tunnel and. And the portals turned on. [01:13:49] Speaker B: We're just walking past her. [01:13:54] Speaker A: Yeah. You manage to like. As you make your way back to the area you can see that the other researchers and goal have already kind of relocated to the end of that tunnel where the portal is now on the. You notice that the. The crystal at its center now thrums with activity and life. The room sigils around it that stabilize the portal are now like active as well. And a somewhat familiar kind of swirling vortex emanates up from the crystal. This looks like a fully functioning portal looks to you and like seeing you approach. He claps. He slaps a hand on your thigh as a car. [01:15:00] Speaker F: I. I was. I was poking and prodding it and. [01:15:04] Speaker A: It just kind of flushed into life. I think I fixed it. He says. I don't know what juvenile found in the tunnels, but I think this is our. Our route out. The croak says he. [01:15:19] Speaker B: He sort of pats the croak on the head and goes well done you. [01:15:26] Speaker A: You all notice as you gather round that kind of that bad aura that was emanating from the portal has seemingly gone. And Rayri, as you glance around you also notice this that the. The sort of like the withered roots that were kind of reaching out of the water up onto land, they seem to be kind of. There's almost like a color seeping into the ends of them as they begin to sort of like grow. And it's almost like fingers reaching out towards the portal. And you watch as these roots, like creeping fingers seemingly start to almost like begin to interact and manipulate the runic patterns on the portal itself. And as explorers you who have used portals in the past, you can watch as it seems like the death. The. The portal itself is being calibrated of a sort by These roots until the roots. The roots eventually kind of grow inwards and then seemingly start to sort of like grow down into the cracks of the portal. And there's a surge of energy and the green light that emanates from it turns white and. Yeah, wherever this portal originally led, it now leads somewhere else. [01:17:16] Speaker C: Well, that was weird. Shall we go? [01:17:20] Speaker D: I think it's that nice sort of that nice spirit that I saw. I think she's doing it. She obviously wants us to go somewhere nice. [01:17:32] Speaker B: And I think any word is nicer than here. [01:17:38] Speaker A: As the four of you, like, follow, the researchers begin kind of stepping into the portal. And one by one, they're whisked away on ethereal currents. And as a four of you kind of watch to make sure they're all kind of they all leave safely. Tree is the last to go. The four of you step into the portal and are whisked away. Rayri as the last to go. As you're about to step into the swirling miasma, you take a moment to glance over your shoulder because you just have this feeling. And for a fleeting moment you feel like you spot a young female keeper with a staff that looks surprisingly similar to the a spear story that looks surprisingly similar to the one wielded by that young keeper boy in the in the forests. And as the world around you kind of shifts as the portal drags you away, you watch as this female keeper fades into motes of light. We fast forward to a celebrate the sounds of cheer and mirth as tales of the rescue of the researcher team spread through the inn. In the town of New Prospect, you can see a lot of the town folk have arrived to have joined in to congratulate you, to welcome back the researchers, to inquire about the tales that you have kind of crafted in your short time here. Overseeing the the celebrations is the large gruff lore of our man with the eyepatch, Sheriff Comstock, you remember his name being, who's somewhat overseeing the the party alongside Davin Dram, the mayor of the town. And after a particular lease waffly speech as demanded by the the citizens of New Prosper Davendram thanks you for your service to the town. As as the kind of festivities roll on, the port at the back of the inn bursts into life and through it steps a Laura of our man, probably in his mid to late 30s, you would reckon. But what's bizarre is despite his seeming kind of youth, he has a head of silvery white hair. Upon his forehead is a tiara of with what appear to be magical gems and some of you may have recognized this man from your time in Ava. But as the Larovar steps in, looks around you note that his clothes are particularly ornate and lavish. You see the Sheriff spin round and. [01:21:46] Speaker F: Ah, Archmage. It's good to have you back. [01:21:50] Speaker A: Comstock says. An Archmage, Meridius Radan, steps forward and. Well, yes, I. I came as quickly as soon as I heard. I. I hear you've. I hear the researchers have been returned. And I suspect I have you four to thank for this. [01:22:13] Speaker C: Yeah, you could say that. [01:22:16] Speaker A: As the four of you glance upon this Larovar, you. Whether or not you recognize him or not, you do know from his regalia that he is one of the Archmages. The council of Archmages from Avermor, potentially. This man would have been one of the Brainchildren for the Explorers Initiative. And as he looks at you with these kind of cool silver, like silver gray eyes, he nods. There's a genuine smile upon his face. I've. I'm very glad that you found the researchers. I hear that there are. You found some quite peculiar circumstances within the tower. From what I understand, from what I've been told, these are quite troubling. This is quite a troubling revelation that Mana might have been corrupted. But I. I won't press you for details now. I'll let you enjoy the fruits of your labor here, enjoy the hospitality of New Prosper. And then when you're ready, please return to Avermoore so we can have a little debriefing. I suspect that what you've found out today may have repercussions on our future expeditions going forward. Threats that we might have to. To keep a close eye on. He looks to the Sheriff again and Comstock, Always a pleasure to see you. And with that, the Archmage turns, steps back through the portal to Avore. What are the four of you doing? So, starting with Cal, what are you doing in particular as the. The. The folk of New Prosper kind of celebrate your. Your victory? [01:24:24] Speaker E: I think he is quietly relieved that no one died and they got the job done. He's been mulling over the events of the fight as someone who is not a def. You know, has for quite a while now, had no interest in divinity. It was interesting to him to see it get in play in the way that it was. And he's still processing how he feels about it. So he is just very quietly, probably pan having a few drinks. Probably still has his resting frown face on, but it might not be as frowny there may Be some faint smiles going on here and there at the festivities, but nothing to suggest that he's angry. Just he seems chill and relieved everyone's safe. [01:25:30] Speaker A: In which case, as you're kind of taking in the the party if you will, with this kind of somewhat dour look on your face from across the tavern, you spy the Wolfkin woman, Frinka, you remember her name to be sat alongside the platinum haired Aesavar Milia. And the Wolfkin lady kind of spies you is. Is watching you with this kind of frowned face. And then she shouts cheer up. You look as miserable as Comstock. She shouts across the. Across the hall. And you hear like Millia from. From the sheriff. But yeah, the. The Wolfkin woman sort of like laughs at Comstock's kind of indignation. Indignation. And then she kind of leans back, puts her feet up on the table and an arm around the ace of our woman. Vanya. How are you feeling? [01:26:39] Speaker C: As the camera pans away from Cow, you probably see Vanya very much in the middle of the festivities, very much like clinking is tankered with everyone regaling like in his very broken common like way of telling a story that he may portray it but yeah, he's very much like a. And then this big crystal thing came out of the weird goopy arcane muck. It was crazy. And like clanking his drink plug. Yeah it's very much like spurring on the energy of the atmosphere. [01:27:23] Speaker A: The. As you're regarding this tale, perhaps unbeknownst to you, you're. You're being watched very closely by two goblin twin brothers who are just trying to size up whether your story is more impressive than theirs or not. Of the. The things you fought within the tower and yeah, Knock kind of elbows his brother Bach and now that sound really good. [01:27:52] Speaker F: You write that down. [01:27:53] Speaker A: You write that down. Well we ain't. [01:27:55] Speaker F: Yeah, get that crystal. [01:27:57] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. Yes. Yeah. As you're kind of the. The rest of the patrons are enthralled by your story. Rayri, what are you. [01:28:09] Speaker D: I. Rabi is looking for Tree so she can find her or. [01:28:19] Speaker A: Yes. Whoa. Tree in fact has been sat next to you sort of like tongue out, trying to still manipulating it. So fundamentally all she's been doing, sort of like turning over, poking it, shaping it, you know, trying to twist certain things and she turns to you with this look of sheer kind of frustration on her face and I. I need my tools. I need my tools. Tell you what, when you lot of ready and you're heading back to Ava Moore, I'M I'm gonna come with you. I. I'll bring this to my workshop and then we can try and figure. Figure this out properly. Because, I mean, I'm not saying that these people are, you know, they've just got no. No tools to use. How. How can a place like this get by without any one of. She just. She's getting frustrated to the point where she can't even get her words out. And then she kind of goes back to like someone in our world struggling with a Rubik's Cube. [01:29:26] Speaker D: It just kind of like, what do. [01:29:29] Speaker A: You think is in it? [01:29:30] Speaker D: Is it like sweets or like, I. [01:29:35] Speaker E: Don'T know. [01:29:39] Speaker A: Tree kind of stops. She lets out a big huff. And, I mean, I need to make sure for certain, but this. This thing, it. I think it's a beacon. [01:29:58] Speaker D: I would have something like a prize. [01:30:02] Speaker A: Well, you never know. You never know. What's a beacon for? Or a beacon too. Maybe it's like a compass. [01:30:12] Speaker D: Yes. [01:30:15] Speaker A: We'll know when we get back to Avermore, she says. She reassures you. A car. What are you doing? Given everything you've just witnessed, where is. [01:30:34] Speaker B: Where did you say the portal back to Avore was? [01:30:38] Speaker A: So he's at the back of the. This tavern, basically. So it's the portal that the arch mage just arrived and departed through. Okay. [01:30:48] Speaker B: He'S. He's hoping not to catch anyone's eyes. He's hoping that everyone is sort of thoroughly enjoying themselves and distracted as he tries to head for the portal himself. [01:31:08] Speaker A: As you begin to slink away, you find your way blocked by the broad shouldered, like old Laura Var. Sheriff. [01:31:23] Speaker F: You know it's rude to leave without saying goodbye. [01:31:32] Speaker A: True. [01:31:33] Speaker B: Very true. [01:31:35] Speaker F: But I also understand why you might want to. There are things that you can see in a place like that that. That can rattle you, can really shake you. But I think that can also be something that steals your resolve, really confirm a path that you need to take, let you make decisions you never thought you could. [01:32:22] Speaker B: I acted impulsively. I acted. I acted in rage. And it almost got me killed. [01:32:37] Speaker A: The lore of art straightens. And yes. [01:32:44] Speaker F: I. I know of the rage you speak. [01:32:51] Speaker A: And as he takes a drink, you notice that his gaze for a moment turns to look out of the window of the tavern, to glance at the statue outside. [01:33:08] Speaker F: But sometimes that impulsiveness, that's really just a measure of how much we give a damn. And it's that. That drive that you need to hold on to. [01:33:26] Speaker B: I wish to hold on to that drive. But it needs to be controlled. This that has always been my way. That has always been my training. This won't don't. Don't believe that I am running away from my duties. I just believe I need to reconnect with myself so I can fight again. [01:34:05] Speaker A: Comstock not. [01:34:11] Speaker F: As long as you keep. As long as you make sure that you still believe that when the time comes to return, you'll be good. [01:34:22] Speaker A: He sort of like gestures with his tankard at the other three around the inn. [01:34:29] Speaker F: They seem like good people. They'll be ready for when you're ready. [01:34:37] Speaker B: They are exceptional allies and I will be very lucky to fight with them again. [01:34:47] Speaker A: The law of art kind of gives you a smile and a nod and. [01:34:54] Speaker F: If you excuse me, I have to find that poxy deputy of mine. [01:35:02] Speaker A: And as the Larovar kind of steps out of your way seeming like he gives you a wink with his one good eye and then seemingly it seems almost as if he's doing it to draw attention away from like draw attention to him. He kind of walks to the other end of the inn and shouts has anyone seen Victor? He says. And the the rest of the three of you, like you hear the outburst from the Lorevar and all eyes kind of turn to Sheriff Comstock. But did any of you see as a cast link away perhaps Cal from your quiet corner? [01:35:50] Speaker E: I think think. I think Cal's pretty observant. I think he would have noticed and I think he would have respected if Asar needed to go. Sure, Al is not a man of many words, but I think he will miss Azakar's presence in the group very much. [01:36:11] Speaker A: In which case, yeah. As Azakar steps through the portal to the gleaming streets of Ava Moore and the other for the rest of you tuck into a well earned night of celebration on the sounds of the seashore kind of lapping at the sands is interspersed with the sounds of gurgling of a gaggle of croak. And with his hands on his knees an elderly lore of our man with his trouser legs rolled up is stood in front of the saying. Okay, we will try this again. Her name is Victor Kasprazak. And you are. And five set. The four sets of crowd Kai's just stare at him. And then a voice rings out. You will have to excuse my one wayward brethren. They are not gifted with the gift of vocabulary. And Victor slowly turns his head to regard Gurple. Could it be. Could it be a talking a talking croak? And Gurpel strides forward. Yes. I do not know what cruel fate What. What. What fortuous fates have led me to be able to converse with you. But I have seen and admired you for many years. And Victor's face like glows with joy. There are so many things I. There are so many things. And Gurple starts to retch. What I'm trying to say is. And the croak vomits up what appears to be a small mana crystal which falls into the water. And Victor, bit of surprised looks down and yes, what is it you need to tell me? And Gurpel, just one eye looks at Victor and he responds. And then he sits down in the water as the sea washes past him. There's a crunch of the face and then a mal colored stain begins spreading through the water and Victor. Oh it. It was worth a try. He says as he slowly backs out the poo stained sea. And as the elderly Lorevar walks past back up to the. Back up to the town. As the sun begins to set over the horizon of new prosper we will call it there. Congratulations everyone on completing Tale one. You did it. You did it. [01:40:13] Speaker E: Didn't die. [01:40:15] Speaker A: You didn't die. Oh my God. You didn't die. In the most dramatic way possible. Yeah, I. I mean it's the first. What a way to showcase the. Showcase the. The death mechanics of. Or not the not death mechanics of Dagger Heart. So it would seem. Yeah. Absolutely aced it. Cool. So yes, we are done with this story but Tales from Elsewhere is not complete because that was only tail one and we will be moving swiftly on to tail two. How about that? How novel is that, eh? Yes, I'm excited to see what I can conjure up for some of these beautiful lot. Is it. Is it public? Are we. Are we making it public? [01:41:06] Speaker B: Might as well make it public. [01:41:09] Speaker A: Well the. The next time you see us we will have a change in the lineup. Such is the. In a sense almost the point of Tales from Elsewhere in that it's quite. Well, it's a bit of a. It's a bit of a one in, one out like a revolving door of characters just to have lots of people kind of show their faces and have a good time. But yeah, we are saying goodbye to you Nate for the immediate future. As a car is. As a car's got some questions to answer, some things to ponder. So yeah, hopefully. Well, we fully expect that we'll see as a car again in the future, but we will have a new guest feeling Nate's lofty shoes on the next stream. I think that's it. Any what. What are we yeah.
