Episode Transcript
[00:00:00] Speaker A: Hello, world.
Hi, my name is DM Dan and welcome back to Explorers of Elsewhere Live.
Hi. Hi. Hi. How are you doing? You all good?
I need everyone to make some loud, obnoxious noises.
Now the Internet can tell us if that came through or not.
[00:00:30] Speaker B: We have to wait for the stream to catch up.
[00:00:32] Speaker A: To wait for the stream to catch up.
We are coming through. We're beautiful. That those noises have been.
[00:00:43] Speaker C: I'm not sure. Tim's coming through.
Timothy.
[00:00:46] Speaker A: Oh. Oh, we've lost him. We've lost him.
I can. I can sort something there. Hold.
Hold.
Tim. If you try turning it off and on again, we'll see if that works. But yes. Hi, welcome. My name is Ian Dan. We have Explorers of Elsewhere Live.
As always, with flawless audio broadcasting capability.
[00:01:15] Speaker C: Tim's gone. Hi, Tim.
[00:01:19] Speaker A: Don't work. Give up.
Have we. Have we got a tim? Is tim on board?
[00:01:31] Speaker D: Maybe.
[00:01:34] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:01:38] Speaker A: Hi. We've had a little bit of a break and it seems that in our absence, some of the. The gremlins have got into the streaming setup. But we. We're okay. We're okay. We're back for the ninth episode of our third campaign in the Elsewhere setting, the Titan Isles.
I have been missing this quite, quite a little bit. We did a little impromptu drawing stream last week. Nate, you and I, Yeah, we drew some horrendous creatures.
[00:02:10] Speaker B: What are you talking about? They were beautiful.
All of the God's creations.
[00:02:17] Speaker C: Just how they would have wanted them.
[00:02:18] Speaker A: Exactly. All right, yeah, sure, sure, let's go with that.
But no, we.
Yeah, we've. We've kind of.
We're all back together. We're all ready to jump back in.
We'll do a little bit of a recap after the jump. But before we go into it, if you are enjoying our vibe, you should absolutely, first of all, hit the like button on the video. Second of all, subscribe or follow on YouTube or Twitch if you haven't already. And third of all, jump our Discord. It's free to join and you can see us being buffoons off air.
[00:02:56] Speaker C: Never. If.
[00:02:58] Speaker A: Yeah, there's all sorts of, like, additional art, insights, chatter, all that sort of good stuff. If you really enjoy what we're. What we're going to be doing tonight, please consider becoming either a member over here on YouTube or a Patreon. Over on Patreon, there are two tiers of 3 pound and the 5 pounds.
Both massively, massively helpful.
But that also gives you access to a kind of a members only section in the Discord where there will be things like interactive Gaming, like me doing let's Plays and all sorts of lovely stuff like that.
So, without further ado, who wants to jump into the title screen?
[00:03:36] Speaker B: I was gonna say, Dan, can we do one little thing?
[00:03:41] Speaker A: Maybe.
[00:03:43] Speaker B: Probably our biggest follower. Can we say a very big Happy birthday to my brother Chris.
[00:03:55] Speaker A: We would sing you Happy Birthday, but we found out over the weekend that it's like copyrighted by Disney or something. Yeah, yeah. Mickey Mouse will smash through all of our windows and like, carry us off into the night. So sing the song in your head because we'll. We're singing it in ours.
Yes. Happy birthday. Happy 21st.
[00:04:19] Speaker C: Definitely.
[00:04:19] Speaker A: Shall we jump into the title screen?
[00:04:38] Speaker B: Hello, I'm Nate and I'll be playing Griffin, a Sangrevar bard.
[00:04:45] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Livy and I'm playing Abe, the Guardian Keeper.
[00:04:50] Speaker E: Hello, my name is Theo and I'll be playing Cooper, dragon scent rogue.
[00:04:56] Speaker F: Hi, my name is Georgia and I'll be playing Cassandra, an ace of our sorcerer.
[00:05:03] Speaker D: Hi, I'm Tim and I'm playing Gardi Magiani, Druid.
[00:05:08] Speaker A: And my name is DM Dan, the games master. In this adventure, When tragedy strikes, when futures darken, when certainty crumbles, it is not strength, brilliance or sheer will alone that carries us through.
It is one another in the face of adversity. Friends and allies are not luxuries, they are lifelines. They remind us who we are when grief threatens to unmake us. And they anchor us when anger tempts us to drift.
Sometimes simply standing beside someone who understands is the difference between enduring and breaking.
But to have such bonds is not a passive blessing. It is a struggle.
Trust must be earned and maintained. And when hardship frays tempers and tests loyalties, it becomes all too easy to turn inward, to believe the illusion of self reliance.
Yet it is precisely in these moments that we must fight to keep each other close.
Allies are not perfect.
Friends will fail us.
But if we abandon them or let them go, when fear tells us it's safer alone, then we surrender to the very darkness we seek to survive.
And so, one of the more morose happy birthday messages that can be given.
Happy birthday again, Chris.
We find the five of you.
[00:07:26] Speaker E: On.
[00:07:27] Speaker A: The deck of a large galleon ship that the five of you have never laid eyes on before.
And as the sun begins to burst over the horizon, dawning a new day, and as you're jostled by the various pirate crewmates as they bought lug crates, barrels and supplies onto this large vessel, the five of you peer up onto the captain's deck of this vessel, of this ship.
And staring down at you. Her foot right on a box, a small box. Her leg raised is Ella's mirror.
Her blonde and purple hair tied back in a thick braid that runs down the center of her head and down her back.
A diamond wind patterns cape flutters over her left shoulder. Its hues of red and bone and black dancing with one another in the early morning breeze.
Wicked spiked gauntlets clutch at the handle of a blade with a glowing.
A glowing arcane crystal of some description embedded in the blade near the. Near the tip.
And as she looks to you with this look that Cooper you've never seen Ellas mirror give you before any of you.
She is joined in her scrutiny of the five of you by what appears to be a small white dragon like creature that sits on her right shoulder much like you might see a parrot sat on the shoulder of a pirate.
With Bossongrina's voice kind of echoing out, having freshly just bellowed Captain on deck.
Esmeera turns her head slightly to. To take you all in. And then you see her head slowly turn towards the town of Dorlishal where the height allows her.
Her height allows her some advantage over the buildings of Doctor of Dockside.
And you wonder if she can in fact see the devastation left by Exo Draven's most recent attack.
But as the five of you look up do.
Cooper, where. Where's your. Where are you at?
[00:10:46] Speaker E: I think he's processing.
This is new information for him. Like that this has never ever crossed his mind that this could be a possibility. He thought that she was just someone who was able to negotiate through daughter Shaw with quite a few like similar to himself.
[00:11:07] Speaker A: You're similar.
[00:11:07] Speaker E: Like he saw a kindred spirit in someone who was able to negotiate and work both sides of the queen.
He had no idea she was a pirate queen. So I think he's just kind of.
I wouldn't say impressed. He's more annoyed because I feel like this feels like something he would have liked to have known earlier on.
So yeah. So annoyance is probably the most like. He looks very annoyed to be honest.
[00:11:40] Speaker A: Sure.
[00:11:41] Speaker E: Arms crossed, just a bit grumpy looking.
[00:11:49] Speaker A: Who is stood next to the six in your number.
The sixth being.
The now freshly head shaven mayor Coraline Balroon who stood next to her.
[00:12:18] Speaker D: I guess I plausibly could be okay.
[00:12:21] Speaker A: In which case GI.
What? How? Well first off, how's Gardy kind of dealing with this reveal that Ellesmere is slightly more than she at first appeared.
I think.
[00:12:41] Speaker D: I think he's always suspected that there's something.
Something going on with her that isn't quite straight up. So he's surprised by, like, the magnitude of it. Of it, I think. But he's not surprised that she's turned out to be something that she was pretending not to be.
[00:13:03] Speaker A: Okay. In which case, like, stood next to Coraline, you notice that the mayor wearing. And you know now wearing a.
Like a battle mage regalia under this traveling coat. Cloak. Traveling coat she's wearing.
She doesn't seem all that.
I'm gonna throw it your way. Does Coraline look surprised or not?
Which do you think's more interesting? Good.
[00:13:44] Speaker E: I think it's more interesting if she did know.
[00:13:46] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:13:47] Speaker E: Considering the way the pirates and the town have been working together, I think it's more interesting.
[00:13:54] Speaker D: I think she's been.
Maybe she's been giving a front that she's opposing the pirates by opposing Ungraener, but she's been communicating with Alys Mirror behind the scenes the whole time, perhaps.
[00:14:11] Speaker A: Okay.
In which case. Yeah. Gi. So you. You notice that, yeah, Bow. Like, Coraline doesn't seem to be particularly surprised or shocked. And in fact, if anything, there's a. Like a. A small and assertive nod, like a. A little quick nod.
And you use.
You see that Ellis Mirror is looking down at.
Looking towards Coraline.
Perhaps she's kind of taking in Coraline's new aesthetic.
I mean, certainly stood alongside her, say, with this freshly shaven head, which.
Well, would you Would. Would Guardi have known of the, like, the infamous battle mages?
[00:15:05] Speaker D: I think at most he might have heard of them in passing. Very limited.
[00:15:11] Speaker A: I mean, we. So he did say that it was a tradition kind of founded by Majani. So perhaps you've heard the legends of.
Of those Majani mages and the, you know, their teachings going out. So, yes, it's stood next to her. You notice that now she shaved her. Her sort of like her red hair.
The back of her head is.
Is crisscrossed with tattoos that looks very much like arcane script.
Yes.
Who's the first to break the silence.
[00:15:54] Speaker D: As.
[00:15:56] Speaker A: Ellas Mirror turns her attentions back to you?
[00:16:04] Speaker F: We know her.
[00:16:04] Speaker A: Hey.
[00:16:05] Speaker F: Hey, hey.
[00:16:07] Speaker A: It's us. Do you remember us?
[00:16:09] Speaker F: Hey.
[00:16:12] Speaker A: Ellis Vera, like, tilt. Tilts her head to one side slightly raises an eyebrow. And then you notice her sort of like, lean her, like, bring her chin into her shoulder and it's. She begins to whisper something to the little dracon on her shoulder that kind of stoops down as if to, like, turns its Head to listen.
And as Elizabera whispers something to it, it then lets out. It kind of unfurls its wings on its back, lets out a little, and then kind of takes off and flaps to, like, begins kind of flying down over your heads towards the prow of the ship.
As Elismira begins making her way down the steps of the ship.
Oh, we've got some names now that I'm transferring.
We've got the Zephyr, the Titan, Tanic, the Tiebreaker.
I'm digging the tiebreaker.
But first, what are we. Are we collectively digging the tiebreaker from chat.
[00:17:35] Speaker B: I like that.
[00:17:35] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah, for sure. The Tidebreaker. Very good. Very good. It is done. You're done.
As Ellasmira begins walking down, you can hear like, Boss Angrina, sort of like, he. He starts kind of moving amongst the men, kind of come up the crew. Sorry. Commanding them to do things, kind of speeding. Speeding people up for all extents and purposes.
But you watch as Ella's mirror.
So on the large galleon that you find yourselves on Ella's mirror, begins walking down the steps towards you, her healed boots kind of clacking on the wooden flooring.
Welcome to the Tidebringer, she says.
And with calls and kind of barked orders.
You see that the ropes.
Oh, no. You bring mine. You sail the rowboats that carried you to the Tidebringer. They're being hoisted up onto the ship and you can. Can hear. You can see a number of pirates around the large kind of rotary anchor pool begin sort of like slowly moving around, lifting the heavy anchor that's currently keeping the ship stationary.
And crew run and start unfurling ropes to cause the sails to come down and kind of change anchor, change angle. And you slowly feel this large vessel begin to look under your feet.
Apologies for the discretion, but sometimes it's easier to operate in.
In the realms of the unknown.
[00:19:36] Speaker B: Do you mean you've always been a captain?
[00:19:43] Speaker A: She. She looks to you. She looks back to Maya, Balroon, and Coraline, just, like, rolls her eye like.
And she. She looks back to you.
Griffin.
Yes, it's. I have always been the queen of the pirates that call Dorlishal their home and all of the towns before the Eschaton.
[00:20:14] Speaker D: Must have been tricky when you were a baby.
[00:20:20] Speaker A: What?
[00:20:21] Speaker E: God, did you think she was a.
[00:20:23] Speaker B: Queen when she was a baby?
[00:20:24] Speaker D: She said she was always one.
[00:20:29] Speaker A: As she looks, she looks between the five of you and Cass. You notice that she is kind of. Her eye is fixated on the large, looming Dunkskin figure behind you. Boss. Angrina. And she sort of like, tilts her head back and raises her voice so she can be heard over the commotion of the. Of the crew. And she very particularly says, boson, I give you command of the ship while I accommodate our new guests.
And Cass, you can't help but feel like she called him Boson.
And Boss Unrena kind of nods.
And Cass, you've got a pretty good. You've got a pretty spicy knowledge, haven't you?
[00:21:31] Speaker F: Yep, I think so.
[00:21:33] Speaker A: Okay, it dawns on you that this juggernaut of a man stood next to you, this intimidating force with, like, bottomless pits for eyes.
It's not. It's not possible.
It was an echo. Who's echoing?
Who's echoing?
[00:21:59] Speaker C: Who's echoing?
[00:22:01] Speaker E: I don't know.
[00:22:04] Speaker D: It's Liv, I think.
Liv. Your thinks lighting up.
[00:22:09] Speaker A: Oh. Oh, okay. There we go.
Yeah. Bottomless pits rise. And you wonder, is his name Boss Unrena?
Or is it Boson Grinner?
[00:22:28] Speaker C: Oldest trick in the book.
[00:22:33] Speaker F: That's just. That's another red mark in her book about this pirate queen.
[00:22:41] Speaker D: Can't stand puns, Cass.
[00:22:48] Speaker A: So, yes, you turn and regard Boson Grinner as he nods his head and, like, he turns around and then his booming voice starts blasting out orders to the crew who sort of like scurry before him like. Like bilge rats just kind of. Kind of keeping out of his way, but also making sure that they're not caught slacking under his watch.
Yes. Ellas mirror turns firmly, turns her attention to the five of you.
I.
I hope you're not.
I hope you don't feel too aggrieved by my discretion.
And her eyes kind of flick to you for a moment. Cooper.
[00:23:46] Speaker E: His eyes flick back. He's not saying anything.
[00:23:50] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:23:56] Speaker B: He.
[00:23:57] Speaker A: So she Ape. You're. You're currently stood next to.
Stood next to Cooper.
What's Abe making of it all? Because Abe has been remarkably quiet past 12 to 18 hours.
[00:24:16] Speaker C: He's getting all the ash out of his mouth.
I think Abe's not surprised.
He doesn't trust anyone. I think anyone. Everyone's got their own agenda anyway, so I think.
Oh, as a caveat, my dog isn't dead. He's just.
Well, there's no surprises. I never thought I could trust any of you as far as I can throw you.
[00:24:54] Speaker A: How the sh. This ship is probably the largest you've ever seen.
[00:25:01] Speaker C: Nice.
[00:25:02] Speaker A: And for the.
For the three. Or. Well, for all the years that you've spent here. So like it. Knowing of the pirates. So somewhere between, like, two and a half to three years, give or take.
You've never.
Like, you don't know where the ship came from, like where they were keeping it.
Like, it's. It's just rocked up over the horizon and here, here we are.
And at this point, sort of like the ship has kind of done a full 180 and it's now sailing towards the isles and like these huge. These huge kind of dark. They're like a dark gray green color.
Like they billow.
They billow hard with the wind. And the ship is moving with a remarkable speed, like a speed that belies its size, realistically.
It certainly kind of puts your. The speed of your rowboat to show you even when you're the one rowing.
But yeah, perhaps.
What's your suspicion of where. Of how they've kept the ship a secret if from you, if no one else.
[00:26:22] Speaker C: From me.
[00:26:23] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:26:25] Speaker C: Bastards.
[00:26:28] Speaker A: Like, you know, you would have thought in the. Like as in. In the, you know, in the last 18 months while you've been living on the mound, even before then, you would have thought, you would have seen this hulking go right through poking itself. No, like his prow over.
Over the aisles kind of thing. But.
Yeah.
[00:26:50] Speaker E: What.
[00:26:50] Speaker A: What's. Where do you. What do you think they've been doing to keep this hidden?
[00:26:59] Speaker C: Probably.
I don't know. Maybe they would do a midnight run. Maybe they never go out in the daytime. Maybe it's a vampire ship.
Maybe.
Yeah. No, I think it's just they only ever go out when everyone's in beddy. Bu.
[00:27:22] Speaker A: Sure.
[00:27:23] Speaker C: And Abe, he's an old man, he goes to bed pretty early.
[00:27:27] Speaker A: He's in bed at 9.
[00:27:29] Speaker D: 9Pm He's.
[00:27:30] Speaker C: He's at bed at 9pm yeah, he gets up early.
So they must run it sort of between sort of the hours of 11.
[00:27:36] Speaker A: And 4, specifically 9:30 till 5:30.
[00:27:40] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. The swans, the swipes, what time could have been saved, what carcasses Abe could have got on this boat.
[00:27:52] Speaker A: Okay, very good, very good. So, yes, Ellis, Mirror kind of joins you.
I get. Realistically, we can invert commas, fast forward to points where we want to stop and kind of have chats with each other, ask any kind of burning questions.
But in the grand scheme of things, you basically have free run of the ship.
For those of you playing. The little door icons are doorways or stairs to other areas of the ship.
You'll start teleporting around the map as and when you start moving.
But I mean, yeah, who are there any kind of burning, like any moments that we zoom in on.
[00:28:43] Speaker D: It's not a moment, but could I have my. Could I summon my baby bunny, please?
[00:28:49] Speaker A: Your baby bunny? Yeah, I think your little nightmare spawn.
[00:28:55] Speaker F: With another inhuman screech.
[00:28:57] Speaker D: My sweet. My sweet boy from a cannon barrel will just pop out as if he'd been there the whole time. The winged version, please.
[00:29:06] Speaker A: Okay, so I believe you need to spend a hope for.
[00:29:10] Speaker D: I must spend two hope for the winged version. Yes, Two hope. Okay, deduction.
[00:29:16] Speaker A: Okay, so your. Your winged Wallpatinger is here also. If you want to move up or down, you'll be out from under the slightly transparent sale and people. Oh, Yes, say any.
Well, as you summon your. Your wall, kind of move towards the front. Front of the ship. Guardi, what's the. What's the plan there?
[00:29:48] Speaker D: Oh, I don't know if he has much of a plan at the moment.
[00:29:51] Speaker A: I think. Oh, you're just having him for.
[00:29:54] Speaker D: He's just taking in the ship.
[00:29:59] Speaker A: Okay. Just moral support.
Okay. Very, very good.
As in Aardi. As you kind of move up, you glance over to your left to the other side, and you recognize the young teenage manjani girl that you met at the docks.
And as she looks up to you as you. You as you kind of walk up the stairs, kind of cradling your Walpetinger, she looks to you and kind of gives you a wave, but in the hand that she's waving with, like. She's only waving with her, like, fingers because her thumb is wrapped round Roland the rat, who's just shaped. Shaken from left to right.
Hi, Gardy. Hi.
And this rat, like, it's. It's from paws are scrambling, like, desperately reaching out for you.
[00:30:56] Speaker D: There's nothing I can do.
[00:31:00] Speaker A: Yes. As she sort of like, waves to you.
You watch as Roland nips her thumb and Melissa squeaks in pain and like, the rat is launched onto the. Like, elsewhere onto the ship.
And Melusina, we'll talk later. She says she sort of like sprints down the stairs chasing after this rat. Sort of like diving between the feet of other crewmates in order to. To rescue Roland. Yeah, she. She disappears off to.
Yeah. To. To find her pet rack.
Yes. If you're.
If you're just sort of like having the. The Walpetinger to hand.
[00:31:44] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:31:45] Speaker D: He's my emotional support wolpinga.
[00:31:47] Speaker A: Okay, very good.
Yeah. As like anyone.
Anyone wanting to grab the spotlight.
[00:31:57] Speaker C: I mean, can I talk to Boson?
You can, my boy Boson.
[00:32:03] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely.
Is it up on deck or is it sort of like after. I mean, bear in mind the journey to the aisles isn't particularly long. So like it's going to be on deck. It's fine. Half hour tops kind of thing. Okay, on deck, let's tell you what, let's put the two of you up on the observation deck.
Abe, as you sort of like come up the stairs to join Ungrinner. So Grinner, you notice that this ship is absolutely festooned with these large arcane cannons.
So they look a bit like Cassandra's pistol, but you know, 40 times larger.
And so there are these large kind of moored ones like the one you're stood next to, but there also seem to be like slightly smaller, almost like p. Pivot guns similar to this one just kind of next to it.
And you can notice that there's a. So each of these pirate tokens is in fact a, a gaggle of kind of crew.
So you notice that there's a. Yeah, there's a group about four or five kind of main. Doing some maintenance on this arcane cannon on the other side, which most likely what boss on Grinner is inspecting. When you kind of approach him.
[00:33:39] Speaker C: I think Abe, like the sort of big grumpy old man that he is, he's doing that sort of classic just kind of looking at the things.
[00:34:00] Speaker E: And then.
[00:34:01] Speaker C: Oh, that's, that's a big one as.
[00:34:02] Speaker A: Well.
[00:34:05] Speaker C: And just like fill up his pipe and he'll just kind of sidle over to Boson and he was like, oh, you packing some big firearms here, aren't you?
What you that for?
[00:34:19] Speaker A: Boson?
Boson turns around and.
The originally there to prevent any, anyone with trumped up ideas of supremacy from causing us any trouble.
But perhaps now, given everything that's been happening on the isle, perhaps they'll be used to hunt go.
[00:34:50] Speaker C: A guard.
I mean they're big cannons. I, I give you that, but I don't think they'll take down one of those, Those big fellas.
[00:35:11] Speaker A: But so like his eyes seemingly like retreat further into the, the, the pits of his eye sockets as he sort of like gives you this grin. That is quite unnerving just to see like these pearly whites emerging from behind the, the dark graying beard. And then he says enough of them. Will.
[00:35:37] Speaker C: You got more sh.
[00:35:42] Speaker A: Grinner? Just.
No, we, we have a lot of cannons.
[00:35:47] Speaker C: Well wait, have you seen, have you seen the God, have you seen the pair of them?
Because I have.
[00:36:01] Speaker A: Grinner.
Well, Grinner sort of like looks down for a moment and then shakes his head. I, I haven't. But from what I gather to, to Face one in combat will be a fantastic proposition.
A real chance for glory.
You seem unconvinced.
[00:36:45] Speaker C: Well, I.
I don't know if.
I don't know. I just don't think sort of head on head with gods and any there's anything to be doing.
You see what happened on the island, that's what messing with guards does.
[00:37:10] Speaker A: I'm gonna. I'm gonna nod. And during the war, this vessel.
This vessel was able to swap dragon spawn out of the the sky like flies.
Such is the offensive potential of our barrage.
A world spirit is a suitable upgrade in challenge.
[00:37:44] Speaker C: Cool.
[00:37:54] Speaker B: Well.
[00:37:58] Speaker C: Who'S. Who's me to say what you. What you doing, what you don't do, boy?
[00:38:03] Speaker A: If. If it would alleviate your anxiety on the matter.
When the time comes and he sort of like pats the cannon that's been tended to by the crew, perhaps I will let you man one of them so you can witness this destructive potential firsthand.
[00:38:30] Speaker C: Well, it's. That's very nice of you and all, but I got my ax. I don't need nothing else. I ain't got no plans on killing old guards.
I don't want no glory.
Not up to me.
[00:38:48] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:38:49] Speaker A: I'm going to sort of like the. The. The shrug of the shoulders he gives you is one that says. Well, more for me.
[00:38:57] Speaker C: Yeah, you know, different strokes, different folks.
[00:39:05] Speaker A: Was there anything else you wanted to speak to him over? Right. Are you going to observe him bullying? Not bullying his crew, he's just intimidating his crew.
[00:39:17] Speaker C: Has he got normal teeth?
[00:39:26] Speaker A: On a hope?
I will let you decide.
So realistically, it's like this is a fake dice. On a hope you get to choose. And on a fear it's. They're just te.
[00:39:45] Speaker C: What? A crit.
[00:39:46] Speaker A: He's rolling a crit. He's rolling a crit.
So it's half. Half. Right.
[00:39:52] Speaker C: Half. Half.
Half are made of marshmallows.
[00:39:57] Speaker A: Okay, so the top. The top teeth. The top jaw. Yeah, are impressively clean.
Normal, like natural. Oh, natural teeth.
[00:40:10] Speaker C: Turkey recently.
[00:40:11] Speaker A: This is. I can't believe this is where the RP's going. Yeah, he's got a gleaming pair.
What's. What are what hard material? Be sensible. Are his bottom teeth made of?
We've already established he doesn't have a metal draw like Warhammer 40K Orc.
No, they could be metal. It's just his drawer isn't metal.
[00:40:42] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean I think.
I think they will be metal, but like a mishmash of metal. So some silver, some gold, some different.
[00:40:52] Speaker A: Has got the tooth. The teeth Version of like, of a jazzle.
[00:40:59] Speaker C: Or like a lower.
Like you've just got grill.
[00:41:04] Speaker A: Of all different metals. Yeah. Okay.
[00:41:06] Speaker C: Does it. Does it. Is it like. Is it got like under clicked it.
[00:41:10] Speaker A: On like, now that.
[00:41:11] Speaker D: Oh, hell yeah.
[00:41:14] Speaker A: He's clipped.
[00:41:15] Speaker C: What a poser.
[00:41:16] Speaker B: Does it spell out Bosu?
[00:41:18] Speaker C: Boson. Yeah, boss on the top, ocean on the bottom.
[00:41:23] Speaker D: If he gets a promotion, it's going to be really awkward for him.
[00:41:28] Speaker A: Everyone thought that he tried to spell his whole name and he just ran out of teeth. Yeah, all along.
Okay, so we've got like.
I'm imagining like little kind of metal, kind of sculpted skulls and.
[00:41:43] Speaker C: Yeah.
He's obviously lost his bottom teeth and he's. Or somehow.
[00:41:51] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:41:51] Speaker C: And he's replaced them all with different crazy crowns.
[00:41:56] Speaker E: Like little designer crowns.
[00:41:57] Speaker C: Designer crowns. Little. Little, Little. Little lists.
[00:42:02] Speaker A: Are we. We a hundred percent know that Grinner probably nabbed these from someone else.
[00:42:09] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:42:14] Speaker E: Let'S not. The idea of like, this is like his prize of like, I defeated that guy. I'm having your tooth.
[00:42:23] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:42:24] Speaker B: He pulled them out one by one while the person was still alive.
[00:42:28] Speaker A: Maybe that's why they call him Grinner.
[00:42:30] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:42:31] Speaker A: Yeah.
Okay.
[00:42:33] Speaker C: That's the only dark question I've ever wanted to know about.
[00:42:36] Speaker D: He sees a bloke with an alley and with like an aluminum tooth and he's like, oh, you're in trouble, mate.
[00:42:40] Speaker A: You're in a lot of trouble.
[00:42:44] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:42:46] Speaker A: Okay, Very good, Very good.
Okay. In which case, yes, boss, I'm gonna. So we now know he's got a 50. 50 mix. Good teeth, which are very clean. And tooth prizes.
Prize, literally prized teeth, teeth, trophies.
Okay, what's. Where. Where's Griffin at? What's Griffin doing?
Also, just bear in mind, everyone, we've got the I'm ready button. So if you wanted to nab the spotlight before you make landfall, hit the. Hit the button.
[00:43:25] Speaker B: Where's. Where's Cass at?
[00:43:28] Speaker F: I think Cass is at the. I'm gonna get this wrong again. It's the prow.
Yes. She's at the prowl.
[00:43:38] Speaker D: Nailed it.
[00:43:39] Speaker F: Nailed it. I know my boating terms.
[00:43:43] Speaker A: So we. There is Cass. If you've done a little bit of exploring, there is a proper, like. There's. There's a. There's like a Titanic Panic esque.
[00:43:54] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:43:54] Speaker A: Absolute front of the boat, right front of the ship.
[00:43:57] Speaker F: Just arms out, just by herself.
[00:44:04] Speaker D: She's not gonna let anyone else do it, is she?
[00:44:08] Speaker F: She can be both the jack and the rose.
[00:44:11] Speaker A: That's what she ever wants to be. Hugging herself on the. Leaning over the front of the, In which case Griffin. Yes. You find Cass at the very, very prow of the ship. Sort of like stood under the, like the figurehead that's jutting out the front of the ship.
[00:44:37] Speaker B: I kind of get the feeling that Griffin probably, even though how chatty he is, probably finds you like, the most difficult to say hello to because of such a juxtaposition of personalities.
But he's, he's gonna, he's gonna sort of stand beside you and sort of try and make eye contact and sort of wave at you.
Yeah. Yeah, you're right.
[00:45:09] Speaker F: I'm just great.
I wish this boat was a bit faster.
[00:45:15] Speaker B: I mean, I mean, it looks like it's going as fast as it can. Like, I, I don't know very much about boats, but it looks like, I mean, for how big it is, it looks like it's going pretty fast.
Yeah, I, I thought I'd, I'd best leave Cooper to, to new revelations and all that.
[00:45:35] Speaker F: Yes.
Cabin boy Cooper.
[00:45:44] Speaker B: Yeah. I know that you two obviously have your history, so I'm, I'm. Don't worry, don't worry. I'm not gonna, I'm not, I'm not here to pry. I'm not here to pray.
I've, I've, you wanna, you wanna talk to the world spirits, don't you?
[00:46:03] Speaker F: Yes, I do.
[00:46:05] Speaker B: Have you, have you been close to.
[00:46:07] Speaker A: Talking to a world spirit before?
[00:46:11] Speaker F: Well, the closest I got was on the hill the other night. And then certain things happened and now we have to try it all over again.
[00:46:21] Speaker B: Yeah, I, I've, I've been around elsewhere for a bit since, since, since the Escaton. And I've, I've met people who've spoken attuned, not attuned.
Been approached by world spirits before.
I know. Like, I, I, I met a soldier once who, who was saved from, like the battlefield from one.
I, I, I knew this weird, I knew this weird Wolf king guy. He, he liked to just find things and cook them and, but his, his world, like his, his gauntlets were, were powered by a world spirit.
So it, I mean, it's not, it's not unknown if that gives you any sort of hope.
[00:47:20] Speaker F: Well, they've never spoken to me, so I have to make do with Daddy and.
Well, when I find one, I'll make it talk to me.
[00:47:32] Speaker B: Well, I mean, hopefully these, these ones will, will talk, but I guess we've got to make them. I guess we've got to make them feel better first.
[00:47:42] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:47:44] Speaker F: When I came here, I didn't quite Quite expect so many obstacles.
[00:47:48] Speaker B: Well, maybe that's.
Maybe that's part of the reason why you have these powers. Now.
[00:47:54] Speaker A: I've.
[00:47:54] Speaker B: I've been meaning to ask you about that, actually. Like, I mean, I've had my magic since, like, I was a kid. I can't imagine sort of just finding out about them one day in the middle of your life.
[00:48:11] Speaker F: Yeah, I mean, I never expected.
And you can kind of tell that she's not used to people asking her about it or that sort of personal questioning. She's sort of looking at you with this.
Why are you asking this?
[00:48:30] Speaker C: What do you want from me?
[00:48:33] Speaker F: What are you expecting to gain from this expression?
She says, well, sometimes you just have to learn things. That's what my family's always done. We learn things.
And this is a learning moment.
Year, several years.
And now we're going to learn why.
[00:48:59] Speaker B: Well, I'm here to help.
I don't have much else to do. So if you need my help, I'm here.
[00:49:08] Speaker F: Thank you.
Bear that in mind.
[00:49:14] Speaker B: I can.
I can go or I can sit with you for a bit if you want. I can keep quiet.
I can be good at that.
[00:49:22] Speaker F: I'd like to see that.
[00:49:24] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:49:25] Speaker A: He sits down and he just stares at the age.
[00:49:29] Speaker F: She just sort of looks at you for a little while, like, okay. And then she. He looks out across the ocean as well.
[00:49:38] Speaker A: As you do, seemingly almost like, in response to your kind of irritation.
But you're. That things aren't going as quickly as you were hoping.
The morning fog that's kind of lingering over the surface of the sea kind of begins to part. And you see the silhouette of the Titan Isles kind of emerge from you.
So, yeah, very soon you will soon be back on the island that is home to two gods.
Scooby doing.
[00:50:22] Speaker E: I think at first he's not sure he wants to talk to anybody. I think he is still trying to think about what he wants to say, but kind of just keeps to himself. Watches the sea.
And then I feel like eventually he will go see if he can find Ella's mirror somewhere. Okay, so where will he.
[00:50:46] Speaker A: You have to invert commas, ask around a little bit.
And you find out that she is.
She is. She is. She is in her quarters, which is at the very back of the ship on the top, like, the top story. I can move your token up.
So, yeah, you. So you get to sort of like the. The. The. The bow of this, like, the rear of the ship. And, like, you can see the. The steering.
Like, the steering wheel is kind of locked in place because effectively you're just kind of like the wind is carrying you with a good speed and you're just kind of beelining for that cove that you all landed in yesterday.
Yes. You find yourself kind of in front of Ellas mirrors door.
And yeah, this group of pirates that are kind of on top of her quarters, like on the decking above her quarters. Oh yeah. They let you know that she is currently in.
She's currently in. And they've been instructed to let you know if you come along, you should come in for a chat.
[00:52:16] Speaker E: Okay, well, Cooper will step to the door, give it a knock.
[00:52:30] Speaker A: You hit. As you knock, you wait for a moment and then the door just like gently swings open ever so slightly. Perhaps with the lurch of the sea, it kind of swings the door. But if you would like to move towards the door, you teleport to the room.
Interactivity.
[00:52:55] Speaker E: Oh, hello.
[00:52:57] Speaker A: And yeah, as you come through the door, like there's a. There's a. There is a moment as Ellasmira kind of jumps as you jump because it. And it's clear that she was just about to reach for the door when the boat. The ship lurched and you came in.
Hello, Cooper.
[00:53:27] Speaker E: Captain.
[00:53:31] Speaker A: She not quite Queen.
[00:53:37] Speaker E: Fine, your highness. Is that how it works?
[00:53:44] Speaker A: She likes walks back and takes a seat at her desk and perhaps I kind like the ring of that when you say it.
[00:53:59] Speaker E: Why did you hide it?
[00:54:03] Speaker A: Well, something I've discovered is that all sorts of people say all sorts of interesting things when they don't know that you are a pirate queen.
[00:54:21] Speaker E: That's fair.
But I don't know, maybe the last time we had a conversation you could have at least given me something apart from giggling in my face and walking off.
I was pretty put out, if I'm honest.
[00:54:38] Speaker A: And I apologize.
Until when?
When we were sailing to the isle yesterday, you were still a person of interest, Right? There were still a few more things I needed to hear you say before you knew.
[00:55:06] Speaker E: Like what?
[00:55:12] Speaker A: How long have you known this kick, Fran?
[00:55:19] Speaker E: Not long.
You sent word for a job.
I've told you about my life. It wasn't like.
It wasn't anything personal. It was just a job to do.
[00:55:32] Speaker A: But it's not just a job, is it? Cooper? He wants you to sail to the eastern island.
Did you think to ask why or what that entailed?
[00:55:49] Speaker E: To be honest, in this mirror, I was interested in cash so I could get out of here. That was honestly at the time the deal.
Things have obviously changed.
But at the time, you know, I've never been here before. I was on holiday, awaiting a call on a job.
That was it.
I was enjoying my time here. I made a friend. I was just hanging out. I did not expect for things to go the way they did in any capacity.
[00:56:21] Speaker A: Cooper, darling, I know you've been around the block long enough to know that when it comes to people like Kickfren, you always make sure you have an exit ramp, an exit strategy and a backup plan.
Perhaps retirement, but perhaps a holiday's blunted your senses slightly.
She says.
And as she says it, you. You feel like you hear this snicker coming from the little draconoid on the perch, like. And it. You. You can't tell if it's just like, coughed or. But it makes a little.
And Elasmira.
Please excuse little Faniel. He's a bit.
He. Well, he's a bit of a prankster.
[00:57:24] Speaker E: You have a type.
[00:57:26] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:57:29] Speaker C: Is his name Thanuel?
[00:57:31] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:57:31] Speaker A: Little than you.
[00:57:32] Speaker C: Little.
My goodness.
[00:57:38] Speaker E: She'S a strange one.
Okay.
[00:57:43] Speaker A: I mean, I guess in this. Yeah, just. Just to put that. The pin directly into the. Into this. You can't help but wonder if, like, does Elizmere know, like, as you look at this little white draconoid that had. That bears a very similar color to the very, very recently deceased Captain Fanniel Hastings.
Does she know?
But it's clear that this little dragon is named after the guard captain.
[00:58:16] Speaker E: Yeah, he's not gonna push that button.
I don't think he wants to push that button. I think it occurs to him, and he's just like that. It's fine.
She can ask them here.
[00:58:31] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:58:34] Speaker E: Look, I don't. I know you don't think very much of me, and that's fine. And I. Look, I.
I feel like we should just get back to square one here.
Start from scratch.
I think whatever we're planning to do is dangerous as hell, so we've just got to get on with it.
[00:59:08] Speaker A: On that I can agree.
She says there are more.
There are more threats that require our attention than you appreciate, Cooper.
The Titans rampaging as they are, they are very much the most like, immediate threat.
But from what I've been told has happened to Dorlashal by this. This zealot, but calls himself Draven.
His plans must be stopped as well.
Whatever. Kick Fran and his patron, whatever their plans are for. For whatever dark powers lie within the mountains on the eastern island, they are a threat.
And it would appear that to.
To. To really keep us on our toes. There are more eyes on the island than we had first anticipated.
We will be dropping you off on the COVID at.
At your instruction. And then we have to investigate these other ships that have been sighted to the north.
[01:00:42] Speaker E: More ships?
[01:00:44] Speaker A: Oh, yes, more ships.
[01:00:50] Speaker E: Okay. Well, that's fun. More. More stuff to worry about.
Thank you for helping.
I do appreciate it. Even if I didn't seem very appreciative when I saw you this morning.
[01:01:10] Speaker A: Elismira smiles. And like in this moment, as the two of you kind of lock eyes, you wonder, you can't help but wonder if the. The purple face tattoo on her left cheek, if that is new or if that is newly revealed from her kind of dollar shawl Persona.
But she, like, she. She strikes you as well, actually, I'll ask you, does she strike you as a different person or can you still see the other Ella's mirror kind of sat behind all.
[01:01:55] Speaker E: I think for.
[01:01:56] Speaker A: For.
[01:01:57] Speaker E: For me personally, I feel like she has become a different person.
I think Cooper thought he was getting to know just a very likable, very friendly person in town who he felt a kinship to because they seem similar.
And now he can't really see anything similar about them.
He is still and probably always will be this little street kid who's just trying to, you know, do what he can to survive. And it doesn't feel like she knows what that feels like to him anymore.
[01:02:44] Speaker A: Okay.
In which case, yeah, in. In response to her sort like your. Your. Your kind of final statement, your final question.
There's a lot for us to take in right now.
One step at a time. Co.
And she sort of like at that point, she. She picks up a quill, like a feathered quill, and then turns her head down to start making some notes in a. A journal that's kind of sat alongside a map that's kind of covered with a number of kind of navigation tools.
The map you notice, pick details. The Titan Isles, but more importantly, the Titan Isles is quite small and centralized and there's just a lot of kind of expanse for the seas around it.
Yes. As she looks down, you kind of get the impression that she is dismissing you.
So as you head out of her quarters, you. The first thing you see from sort of like the length of the ship is that the.
Like, you are pretty much at your destination.
And if we look at this world map, you have fundamentally completed the journey from Dorlishal to hugging the coast to the COVID of the.
Of the Titan Isles where you were last dropped off.
The Tidebreaker pulls hot like, pulls hard to the left.
It doesn't Drop anchor this time. It just kind of winds its sails up to reduce speed until it comes to him, you know, until it slows right down. The rowboats are lowered into the water, and the five of you. The six of you. Begging pardon, including Coraline, get in the rowboats and begin making your way inland.
[01:05:14] Speaker B: Could I.
Quick question.
[01:05:16] Speaker D: Very quick.
[01:05:17] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:05:19] Speaker B: Would there have been a chance that we could ask for some supplies to take with us?
[01:05:25] Speaker A: Ooh, what supplies, you're thinking.
[01:05:27] Speaker B: I'm thinking of some supplies to actually take to the village.
I think Griffin would have remembered whether or not it was a lie or not.
Mulgarva saying that they didn't have enough supplies for extra mouths.
[01:05:45] Speaker C: I think extra Abes was the.
[01:05:50] Speaker B: So he wants to take some extra bits to kind of as maybe like a peace offering of some sort.
[01:05:58] Speaker A: Okay, I will.
As. As Boson. Come. Quartermaster, I think we're gonna need some form of, like, presence check to convince our good friend Boson Grinner.
[01:06:22] Speaker B: That sounds fine.
Now I'm gonna keep that hope because.
[01:06:30] Speaker A: I might need it.
[01:06:33] Speaker B: Let's do persuas.
[01:06:43] Speaker A: It's not good.
[01:06:46] Speaker C: You don't want to know.
You don't want to know.
[01:06:50] Speaker A: He just grabs my head and just pushes me away.
Swim. The rest of the way there is like. You give this.
You give this slightly impassioned speech, but, like, the. The foreboding presence of. Of Boson Grinner. Like, the more you talk, the tighter he crosses his arms until you.
When you get like. And you find yourself sort of, like, worming around the subject until when you eventually ask, can we have some supplies? Yeah, I actually do this. I do this.
As you tap your fingers together. He responds with a but. He. He.
He leans down to your level and then notably reaches up and grabs the top of your head with his palm and brings you in close and says no.
Okay.
And I will take a fear.
Sorry, guys.
As you start decanting off the ship does long enough would have been spent that I will allow a short rest should you want it.
Do the 5v1 short rest.
[01:08:27] Speaker B: Another one.
[01:08:28] Speaker A: It'll be the first short rest of the day. So you get three per long rest.
Oh.
[01:08:36] Speaker E: Yeah.
[01:08:36] Speaker A: Like a maximum of three. Three.
Okay.
In which. In which case, let me know when you've decided what your two are so we can blurt them out what you're. Two active or three activities for guarding.
[01:08:54] Speaker B: Would anyone like to do a. Prepare for something.
[01:08:59] Speaker C: I can't see because we're in a party. I can't see my.
[01:09:06] Speaker A: If you hit C, you couldn't bring your character.
[01:09:14] Speaker C: Yes, I will prepare. I need hope.
And is there anyone else?
[01:09:21] Speaker B: No.
[01:09:24] Speaker E: I'm happy to prepare. And I also would like to clear stress. That's my two things.
[01:09:29] Speaker C: I stress and hope is what I require.
[01:09:36] Speaker E: I also need hope. So, yes, stress and prep, please.
[01:09:44] Speaker B: I'll prepare with Cooper then, because Cooper wants to prepare.
[01:09:53] Speaker A: Okay, so Cooper's doing a prepare with Griffin and reducing stress. How much stress do you reduce?
[01:10:02] Speaker E: I think you roll a D4, don't you?
[01:10:03] Speaker C: One D4 plus your.
[01:10:06] Speaker A: I think it's actually default plus level now.
[01:10:09] Speaker C: Plus your tier.
[01:10:10] Speaker A: Or is it T4 plus tier?
[01:10:11] Speaker E: Yes, tier. So, yeah, so tier for us is now tier three.
So this should be so roll.
I cleared four stress. I only need to clear one stress, but that's fine.
Okay, that's.
[01:10:30] Speaker D: That's good.
[01:10:32] Speaker E: And yeah, prepare. So I guess maybe because we're still having, like, I think maybe they're going through how to get to Rasvillna because we walked it before, but we walked it in the company of everyone else.
I know Abe knows the way, but I think. I don't know, maybe there. I feel like maybe Cooper's still wary of Abe.
Like, I think after everything that's happened recently, I don't know, like.
[01:11:06] Speaker D: Yeah, he.
[01:11:07] Speaker E: Exploded a man and then they all died. Well, those two particularly died. I don't think he wants that. Like, things, you know, let's not talk about that. Let's not talk about it.
So I think he's kind of in the myself. It's easy talking to Griffin. I'm gonna talk to my mate Griffin. We're going to have a plan just in case we get lost going through the route to Rasville Yar. So then hopefully, if there isn't any issues, we still know where we're going.
[01:11:37] Speaker A: Okay.
Okay. So the two of you gain a hope. Griffin, what was your other activity?
[01:11:44] Speaker B: I'm going to remove. I'm gonna fix an armor slot as I only have one armor slot to fix anyway, and that's my tear done. I'm not gonna bother rolling.
[01:12:00] Speaker A: What's cast doing?
[01:12:02] Speaker F: Gardy, would you like to prepare with me?
[01:12:05] Speaker D: Oh, that would be brilliant.
[01:12:07] Speaker A: That's what you get.
[01:12:09] Speaker B: That's what you get this in my boy.
[01:12:11] Speaker E: You're like, no, don't want to do it with Griffin.
[01:12:17] Speaker C: It could be one or more members. I can prepare with Cass and Gardi.
[01:12:22] Speaker D: I'm gonna prepare. I'm gonna prepare once with Cass.
Forget my two hope. I'm gonna prepare again with age to get sue more hope.
I'm preparing all over the place.
[01:12:33] Speaker B: Poly preparing.
[01:12:34] Speaker A: We love it.
[01:12:35] Speaker D: Yeah, exactly.
I'm prep curious.
[01:12:41] Speaker E: So.
[01:12:44] Speaker C: Don'T think you're curious anymore. You've tried it a lot.
[01:12:50] Speaker A: Okay, so the. The three of you can prepare, seed or get two hope each.
Yeah.
Can we.
[01:12:57] Speaker C: Can we just do the same as Cooper and Go and.
[01:13:04] Speaker B: But differently.
[01:13:05] Speaker C: And Griffin, but just differently. Except Abe's answer is is. He's just that. Well, you just go this way, don't you?
I've done it 100 times before.
[01:13:16] Speaker A: Use your point. It's that way.
Sorry.
[01:13:27] Speaker D: Can everyone still hear me? I just lost everyone.
[01:13:30] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:13:33] Speaker D: Bizarre.
[01:13:33] Speaker A: Bizarre.
Okay, so Abe, is that arms?
[01:13:39] Speaker C: That was stress.
[01:13:41] Speaker A: Stress. Okay, cool, cool.
[01:13:43] Speaker F: And I also removed the stress stresses.
[01:13:46] Speaker A: Okay, wonderful, wonderful.
[01:13:50] Speaker D: I'm gonna prepare with a. Prepare with Cass and then prepare with myself to gain 5 hope. Because otherwise I'm fine.
[01:13:59] Speaker C: It's just a short rest. You can only do two.
[01:14:02] Speaker D: That's what you think.
I'm rested as fuck, my friend.
[01:14:11] Speaker C: I'm so prepared.
[01:14:13] Speaker A: I've just checked it in my head. I think you can only prepare like in verticals once because it's when you prepare with one or more.
[01:14:22] Speaker C: Yeah. And then more.
[01:14:27] Speaker A: So it says all choose the same move twice. So I think or three times.
Yeah, you could.
[01:14:35] Speaker E: Yeah.
[01:14:35] Speaker A: Guardi could be a hope machine.
[01:14:37] Speaker E: Yes.
[01:14:41] Speaker F: Regular hope machine.
[01:14:42] Speaker D: Oh, is anyone like. Is anyone stressy? I think I can potentially stress anyone.
Apart from. Apart from the fact that I can prepare this many times making Dan stressed. Is anyone's character stress?
[01:14:55] Speaker A: I've got one stress.
[01:14:59] Speaker E: I'm back to zero where I need to be.
[01:15:02] Speaker A: Abe is at seven stress. Apparently.
[01:15:04] Speaker C: Oh, I. That I meet to be. I'm that zero stress.
[01:15:10] Speaker D: Okay, in that case, yell instead of prepping myself. I'll. I'll clear one stress from Griffin.
[01:15:21] Speaker B: Oh, thanks, man.
[01:15:22] Speaker D: Okay, that's all right.
[01:15:24] Speaker A: Okay, so you lot of functionally tops up. Can I just check how many hit points Cooper has? Because by my records, you have one.
[01:15:32] Speaker E: Oh, no, no, no. That's not correct. I should have none. Like, like, like.
[01:15:37] Speaker D: Oh, God.
[01:15:39] Speaker C: Sorry.
[01:15:39] Speaker A: Sorry.
[01:15:40] Speaker E: I mean, it's. It should be fine. You should be fine.
[01:15:43] Speaker A: Cooper is Bruce Willis in the Sixth Sense.
[01:15:48] Speaker E: I'm actually dead. Guys. Sorry, Alice. Mirror was having a really weird conversation with herself.
I don't know why it won't let me change it. I thought I've changed my hit points to.
Hang on. Am I. Am I? I'm so confused. Am I?
[01:16:04] Speaker A: Okay, wait, no, I'm. I'm.
[01:16:06] Speaker E: Now it says I'm dead.
[01:16:09] Speaker A: Wait, I Was fine.
[01:16:12] Speaker E: Daniel.
[01:16:16] Speaker D: I think, because our tokens aren't on the map at the moment.
[01:16:18] Speaker C: Yeah, it's hard. Yeah.
[01:16:20] Speaker A: And it's. Yeah.
I was looking at your hope. It was an H, and I was thinking it was hit points. You've got one hope. Fine. Okay, everyone. Everyone is largely topped up.
So as you finish your short rest, as you prepare to kind of. As you get onto the rowboats and you sail onto, like, sail towards the island, it's remarkably less stressful this time because there's not some horrendous, like, purple storm raging overhead threatening to, like, flip you into the rocks that kind of dot the coastline as you make landfall. And the. You know, the pirates in the rowboats begin rowing back to the tidebreaker.
As you have had a short rest, I will reduce the exo clock by one.
And it is now at seven.
[01:17:36] Speaker C: There.
There's an Esco clock.
[01:17:39] Speaker E: Yeah. Yeah.
[01:17:39] Speaker A: You didn't.
[01:17:40] Speaker E: You didn't tell Livy about the exo clerk. You should tell Libby about the exo, Clark.
[01:17:47] Speaker A: Livy, we already.
[01:17:49] Speaker C: We already.
[01:17:49] Speaker A: There is an exo clock.
[01:17:52] Speaker C: We did that.
We already got rid of him.
[01:17:55] Speaker B: Oh, no.
[01:17:57] Speaker C: He. Back.
[01:18:00] Speaker A: There is seven left on the countdown. And as you peer up into, like, you. You very quickly find the river that you use to navigate your way inland before you kind of skirt. You use it to avoid the majority of the. The kind of the boggy terrain that's kind of along this coastline.
And then you know that that river will then kind of give way to the forest.
And this time, Abe, you're. You know, Abe, you. This. These are your lands.
[01:18:36] Speaker C: Yeah. I was gonna say, I think, like, last time we went here, Abe was pretending that he didn't really know the place. I think this time he'll just kind of direct them, like, 10 steps along, like, from where they were standing. And then there's a path.
He's just like, is this way.
Why you tell us this before? He's just down here.
[01:19:01] Speaker E: Thanks, Abe.
Thanks a lot.
[01:19:04] Speaker A: In which case, yeah. As you head inland, following the river through the forests, we will kind of fast forward. As you reach the edge of the village of Riceville Narto, as you crest the same hill that you crested before.
And as the five of you arrive and you see the village that's constructed among the trees kind of laid out in front of you, we'll grab a quick break for 10 minutes.
So, yes, we. So we're gonna disappear for 10. I'll explain why. I'll do it again.
We are gonna disappear for 10 minutes. And then we will jump straight back in to explore in. In better weather conditions. The village of Rice Vilna, Abe's home village. Ex home village.
[01:20:21] Speaker C: Sup guys?
[01:20:23] Speaker A: I'm back.

We'll see you then.
Hello and welcome back everyone to Explorers of Elsewhere Live. My name is DM Dan. These are the explorers. It's dawned on me that I don't think I did a quick name introduction, but. Hello, Nate. Hello.
Hello, Livy.
[01:21:21] Speaker E: Hello.
[01:21:24] Speaker A: Hello, Georgia.
[01:21:25] Speaker F: Hello.
[01:21:27] Speaker A: Hello, Theo.
And Hello, Tim.
[01:21:34] Speaker D: Hello.
[01:21:36] Speaker A: Hello.
So yeah, we will.
Won't stick around too long. We'll kind of jump straight back into it.
We are rejoining our adventurers on the outskirts, like on the edge of the village of Rice Vilna, a keeper settlement. A settlement of all keepers on the Titan Isles that we have since found out are actually Abe's lost family.
Well, a family that exiled him. This, this is Abe's older village.
[01:22:16] Speaker C: So he didn't lose them.
[01:22:18] Speaker A: He didn't lose him? No. Well, he kind of did. He didn't shoot. Yeah, yeah.
Yes. Abe's Abe's previously previous home.
The village now ruled like run by its new chieftain, Yalna, which is not the name that Abe gave his daughter once upon a time, but that is the name she now chooses to rule under.
So yes, this, this village, it exists within like between these large kind of towering tree trunks that rise up and adds their foliage to the. To the sea of canopy overhead.
Beams of light appearing through the canopy to kind of highlight certain parts of the scene in front of you. But the village is perhaps constructed here because the trees are slightly less kind of compacted together.
And there is a river stream that runs through from sort of like the. Runs down through the village as we find you on the edges.
Yeah, you.
You spy the village that you have. You visited yesterday just under wildly different circumstances.
And you can see the same features but in better that you saw yesterday, but in better detail.
Particularly the, the buildings that are kind of constructed out of the. The. These kind of monolithic tree trunks.
There are the sort of like the vines, you know, almost like vine bone Pennants that kind of hang from building to building cast use by the kind of the trophy skulls. And an ornamentation over the doors of various buildings. Cooper use by the smaller tree stump with a well dug out of it and kind of looming over like dominating the. Like your eyeline is this sort of like large hall that you know is. Well, Abe, you know, is like the. Like the grand hall, if you will. Like the town hall of Rice Vilna kind of standing in. Standing in a dominating position over the no longer used kind of community fire like campfire in front of it.
Hello. Welcome. Joe. Yoj.
How you doing?
So, yes, you.
You find yourselves on the. On the edge of the village. Kind of stood on one side of the bridge that leads over the river into the village proper.
Who's leading?
Like, who's is it. Is it. Okay, cool.
In which case, as the five of you kind of head over five of you, or is it actually six of you?
Realistically, it's six of you, isn't it?
[01:26:00] Speaker B: Did.
[01:26:01] Speaker E: Did the sexy mayor come with us down?
[01:26:03] Speaker F: Do we have.
Do we leave her behind you. You're not part of the friendship group.
[01:26:13] Speaker D: We just get there and we're like, wait, wasn't that rumor verse.
[01:26:20] Speaker F: In the forest?
[01:26:27] Speaker D: She's in a badger somewhere.
[01:26:31] Speaker C: Where.
[01:26:32] Speaker A: What's. Corlene.
I've lost her.
[01:26:37] Speaker C: Oh, no, the ship.
[01:26:39] Speaker A: We've literally lost her.
[01:26:44] Speaker D: We can use the power of our imagination.
[01:26:47] Speaker A: No.
[01:26:48] Speaker D: Oh no.
[01:26:51] Speaker A: We'll do that. Okay, so yeah, as you kind of cross over the bridge, Abe, you are intercepted. As you kind of get to the other side of the bridge by two like village guards that step forward and bar your way, they are wielding what appear to be kind of spears like that. What that. So, hey, for you, they're just the weapons that the defenders of Riceville now have. But for everyone else, they. They are effectively like double pointed spears.
But over the hand hold is like a crescent, a pointing out crescent blade.
So it's clear that they can, you know, stab and thrust with the blades, but also kind of punch forward with them in. In a way.
Yeah. These two guys kind of intercept you and.
[01:27:56] Speaker E: Halt.
[01:27:56] Speaker A: One of them shouts and the. The second steps forward and goes.
Abe, you know, of all people, you are the last one. You are the last one to be welcome here.
[01:28:10] Speaker C: I don't have time for this. I don't have time for this.
[01:28:17] Speaker A: The. Like, if you. Well, when you say that, what are you doing Immediately he trying to push through.
[01:28:25] Speaker C: Yeah, the.
[01:28:27] Speaker A: So the two guards.
Tell you what. Give me.
What? What? Check Are you using strength?
Okay, roll me a strength check. And by all means, roll in.
Well, spend for experience if you want to.
[01:28:45] Speaker C: Experience being.
Get out of the way.
[01:28:50] Speaker B: Get out of my way.
[01:28:55] Speaker C: Experience.
No experience. Just throwing people around.
[01:28:58] Speaker A: Stoic.
[01:28:59] Speaker C: Stoic.
No emotions.
[01:29:08] Speaker A: Pick on someone your own size.
[01:29:10] Speaker C: Yeah. I mean, possibly. I think I'm probably like head to head with two people around the same size as me. So. So let's do that. Plus.
Let's just roll it, and then it will be plus whatever. 15, 16, 17.
[01:29:30] Speaker A: Okay. 17 with fear.
17 is a part.
So you manage to kind of push these two guards out the way, and they kind of like that. Well, the other four, five of you, including Coraline. Yeah. You watch as I just bulls his way through these two keepers.
Perhaps it's quite odd to see these kind of giants just kind of pushed aside seemingly so easily.
Yeah. Abe, you are able to kind of open a pathway into the village. The two guards just sort of like they stagger back a bit. They look at one another, and they seem a bit confused, a bit kind of aggrieved that you've just bodied your way through them.
So you have succeeded. However you are now, you're now being watched by the guards.
[01:30:34] Speaker C: I watched them right back.
[01:30:38] Speaker A: So, yes, as you kind of push up, they creates enough of commotion that people are sort of like peering out, wondering what's happen.
[01:30:46] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:30:46] Speaker A: You notice that a number of other sort of like white robes, like village guards, sort of like peering around to see what's happening to see your approach.
The one thing you might notice, Cooper. Well, actually, anyone who's kind of paying any real close attention to the guards is that they all seem to be wearing this kind of strange white, ever so slightly off green marble. So either shoulder pads or like a small breastplate or just some sort of armor about their person.
Cooper, you very particularly notice, given that you pinched one of the.
The blade. Who did you give that to?
[01:31:34] Speaker E: I showed it to Cass, and I don't know. I can't remember if she gave it.
[01:31:38] Speaker F: Gave it to me, I think.
[01:31:39] Speaker E: Yeah, I get. Yeah.
[01:31:41] Speaker A: Okay. Okay.
[01:31:43] Speaker E: This is how Cass gets in trouble, and I feel really bad. The end.
[01:31:50] Speaker A: In which case, yes, Cass, you like. You notice that they. These guards all appear to be wearing some form of fashioned armor. And it's not the most delicate of craft. Like, it's quite roughly hewn, but they. Yeah, they wear it. It looks quite heavy, but it's distinctly the same kind of glossy marble like material. Adds that blade that Cooper gifted to you also. Hello, Lady Vengeance. Welcome to. Welcome to Twitch Chat. Hello.
So as you push your way through you.
So you've made a bit of a commotion.
Yeah, the commotion.
You know what? I'm just gonna go for it. The commotion draws out a familiar face as from the like from the village hall steps a slighter keeper.
She's. She's a bit physically smaller than a lot of the others that guard this place, but she is accompanied by a large green furred feet like large feline like creature with two large horns emerging from its forehead.
And Abe, you recognize your daughter as she strides out of the long haul to sort of like her head turning from sight, spinning from side to side as if she's kind of wondering what the commotion is. And then her attention falls on the six of you.
I wondered how long it'd be before you return.
She says.
[01:34:01] Speaker E: We'Re not long.
[01:34:03] Speaker C: We got. We got stuff to talk about.
[01:34:10] Speaker A: As.
How. What are you physically doing as you say this? Are you still approaching or are you stopping like maintaining a distance?
[01:34:19] Speaker C: I think.
[01:34:20] Speaker A: Are you getting up in her grill?
[01:34:21] Speaker C: No, not up in her grill. I think coming towards a bit. Maintaining a.
Sorry, Louis, just coughing.
[01:34:41] Speaker A: These are the sounds that the large green fur beaster just hacking up a fur ball.
[01:34:53] Speaker C: Right. He's done.
[01:34:55] Speaker A: Sorry for chat. Louis is a dog, not just like a small child that slowly. A small child died off screen.
It's a very old dog, a very silly dog.
[01:35:08] Speaker C: He's looking at me close.
[01:35:12] Speaker A: Mother, help.
[01:35:16] Speaker C: And he's kind of storming as if he's like start storming towards the great hall, ready to kind of start something. And then kind of his daughter comes out and he's a bit like, oh, like dampen yourself down a little bit.
Like this fight isn't with her.
So yeah, a bit of a distance, but okay.
[01:35:44] Speaker A: Well, as you like, as you start to approach the green third beast kind of steps forward and begins growling.
And the way like its eyes almost ignite with this kind of ferocity. I will.
I will spend a fear drop me down to three.
I would like everyone to roll me.
Well to tell me how you're kind of quashing the. The fight or flight response that this beast is kind of strongly imposing on you as it like its ears go flat back to its head. The horns seemingly kind of jut forward forward in a more menacing position. Like its claws bear from under the fur of its paws. But yeah, starting with Abe, what like which ability are you using to make this reaction? Check strength.
[01:36:48] Speaker C: Note presence.
I think presence.
[01:36:54] Speaker A: Elbow drop it.
Okay.
[01:37:00] Speaker C: Presence. So just Kind of just trying to kind of maintain a very sort of calm, like, you don't bother me. I'm just as big as you. Kind of.
Whatever, mate. Calm down.
That's 25.
[01:37:20] Speaker A: Oh, okay. You are non plussed.
Cooper, what are you doing to kind of resist the, the growls of the, of this beast?
[01:37:32] Speaker E: I mean, Cooper feels like a dog guy, right? I feel like he's. He's a dog guy.
[01:37:38] Speaker C: So this is a big cat, so.
[01:37:40] Speaker E: Or big.
[01:37:40] Speaker B: Yeah, he's a big cat guy.
[01:37:44] Speaker E: Yeah.
[01:37:46] Speaker D: Giant meat and tiger. Same thing.
[01:37:48] Speaker E: Yeah. You know, but like, I feel like he does like animals, so I think he's just gonna try and remain very calm.
And I want.
Can I see if there's anything for the tiger to eat in my pack as like a peace offering?
I don't know. I'm just, I'm just trying to think of things to.
[01:38:14] Speaker A: Yeah, I can roll for it. Yeah.
I will say.
Okay, give me what.
[01:38:30] Speaker C: How.
[01:38:32] Speaker A: Tell you what. You tell me what you're pulling. Well, I guess we're retroactively rolling a reaction to. For the forage or like the acquisition of whatever it is you're hoping to throw.
[01:38:47] Speaker E: Sure.
[01:38:47] Speaker A: So I feel like, is it a food you pinch from the pirates or some berries you foraged on the way here?
[01:38:54] Speaker E: I, I. Yeah, maybe something he found on the ship, but he was looking for Ellas mirror. Like he traded with a pirate because he was like, actually haven't stopped and eaten properly in ages and probably just like grabbed a snack from the pirate. So he still got it in his pocket.
I don't know.
Cats don't really like vegetables, so I imagine it's something really big dreamy.
Big dreamy.
Big dreamy that I got from the pirates, which is even funny, I thought all those, all those pets the pirates have. Yeah, I think there's. It's something, I don't know, like a jerky sort of thing that he's picked up from a pirate.
[01:39:35] Speaker A: Okay, let's see if you successfully managed to acquire the jerky.
[01:39:41] Speaker E: Okay, so am I rolling charm?
[01:39:46] Speaker A: Yeah, whatever. Depending on how you.
How you argue. You got it. So if you were just trying to convince a pirate to give you some.
[01:39:53] Speaker E: Jerky, I mean, could I, could I have stolen it instead from a pirate? Because I think I've better skills in.
[01:40:03] Speaker C: That's.
[01:40:04] Speaker A: That's a finesse. I would argue.
[01:40:05] Speaker E: That's it.
[01:40:06] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah.
[01:40:07] Speaker E: Cool. Yeah. That's a plus four. So I will.
Finesse roll.
[01:40:17] Speaker A: Normal.
[01:40:20] Speaker E: And 16 with fear.
[01:40:22] Speaker A: Okay, that's fine. There's a reaction Role. So that is a pass. Okay. How is Griffin overcoming the growling beast?
[01:40:39] Speaker B: What that noise.
[01:40:46] Speaker A: Louie, stop it.
[01:40:51] Speaker E: He's.
[01:40:52] Speaker B: He's probably doing like the complete opposite of what Abe is doing and kind of just kind of going like, here, kitty, kitty.
[01:41:01] Speaker A: It's okay. We're.
[01:41:03] Speaker B: We're friendly. Friendly.
[01:41:06] Speaker A: These are the famous last words.
[01:41:10] Speaker B: Famous hands get bitten off.
So yeah, I do a presence check for that.
[01:41:17] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:41:23] Speaker B: What is with my rolls this evening? Goodness gracious me.
[01:41:27] Speaker D: Oh, no.
[01:41:27] Speaker A: Okay, Griffin. Yeah, you.
You will suffer.
[01:41:39] Speaker B: Two bitten of hands.
[01:41:41] Speaker A: All stress. Oh, what?
[01:41:43] Speaker D: Oh.
[01:41:46] Speaker C: He'S stressy.
[01:41:47] Speaker B: He's not a big cat person.
[01:41:48] Speaker A: I've as the snarls and bites at you. You have to pull your fingers away in order to keep them.
Okay. Wow, that was spicy. Cass, how are you going toe to toe with this beastie?
[01:42:05] Speaker F: I think Cass is rolling, for instance.
She's got shit to do. She's got a God to talk to. She's not got time for huge cats straight in the eyes.
[01:42:19] Speaker A: Do you want to use an experience or.
[01:42:22] Speaker F: You cannot stop me.
[01:42:25] Speaker A: Okay, perfect.
[01:42:29] Speaker F: So remind me what I do with that.
[01:42:31] Speaker C: Is it. Plus.
[01:42:34] Speaker A: You know what?
You cannot stop me is arguably so perfect.
If you spend the hope to spend it, I will let you auto pass.
[01:42:43] Speaker F: Oh, excellent. Thank you. Yes.
[01:42:46] Speaker A: Okay. Yep. So you auto pass as you just stare at this beast with the same ferocity in your eyes.
[01:42:57] Speaker F: Yep.
[01:42:58] Speaker C: Yeah. How stress is the tight take.
Intimidation.
[01:43:06] Speaker A: Falls all around.
Fours all round.
Yes. And Gardy, how are you squaring off against this beast?
[01:43:18] Speaker D: Yeah, I mean, I think it's far from the first large creature that has menaced him.
He's just gonna try and get a feel for its attitude and position himself so that it's clear that he means it no harm, but is capable of doing it should push come to shove.
Okay, if you let me. I'd love an instinct role, but presence is also fine. And I'd like to use my cool and collected experience.
[01:43:52] Speaker A: Also.
[01:43:53] Speaker D: I have fearless in my ancestry. I don't know if that's gonna be of any good to me.
[01:43:59] Speaker A: I think. You know what? I'm feeling generous.
Spend the hope for call and collected and I'll let you auto pass.
[01:44:06] Speaker D: Stunning. Thank you very much.
[01:44:12] Speaker A: Cool. Okay, so as the.
So Cass is down to three hope, I believe.
Down to three. Cool.
So as this creature growls and like you all turn and look as it snaps and sort of like swipes at Griffin as Griffin gets a bit too.
[01:44:33] Speaker C: Close.
[01:44:36] Speaker A: Yana lets out this kind of loud, high pitched whistle to kind of call her her beast. To heal.
And like, as the. The beast kind of slinks back, Yana sort of like places a hand upon its head and kind of scritches the.
This large cat like creature behind the ear. And you hear her say, patience, patience, Kalau.
In time she says.
[01:45:08] Speaker C: Look at Griffin.
[01:45:10] Speaker E: Yeah.
[01:45:10] Speaker A: Yes and yes. So she, she looks back to the. The five of you.
So three of you. Well, four of you kind of standing relatively defiantly.
And she looks to you, Abe, and why have you come back?
[01:45:31] Speaker C: We need to talk about Esco.
[01:45:38] Speaker A: The, like the. The gathered folk. Because this whole thing has caused a bit of a commotion.
And you can see keepers are sort of like peering out from like the nearby buildings. Some are gathered around. One's carrying a, like holding a war a bucket full of water freshly pumped from the well.
And the guards kind of look back to one another and your daughter says, what about Exo?
[01:46:07] Speaker C: Oh, you don't know what he's become.
[01:46:14] Speaker A: And like, you watch as Yona like her, like she's looking at you a little bit kind of dumbfounded, a little bit confused. And then the five of you, you hear. You start to hear this kind of murmuring ripple through like the gather guards are watching you. The gather people did this.
[01:46:34] Speaker B: Exo.
[01:46:36] Speaker A: What about Exo?
And you notice that Yona suddenly starts like looking around at the like the whispering crowds.
And she suddenly, momentarily, she loses that sense of kind of authority. She looks a bit like a child in a crowd wondering what's. What's kind of happening.
And then she sort of like stands upright.
[01:46:59] Speaker B: She.
[01:47:00] Speaker A: She kind of bangs the. The half of the large marble warhammer that she's wielding. She like bangs the. The shaft against the ground. And we will discuss this in the hall, she says.
And like she does, you notice that. So Griffin, perhaps you. You notice that she's kind of elevated her voice to almost like speak out to the crowds around her to, to make it known that this is like a declaration.
It just strikes you a bit odd that she's having to be quite heavy handed with it in a way.
Yes. She. She then turns and enters into the large building behind her.
The, the large beast Kalaru, you've discovered its name is sort of like spies you for a moment and then its ears kind of flip back up and it kind of trots in behind Yalmer.
Inside the hall, which is exactly as you remember it, but minus the sort of like the buckets for the. To catch the rainwater.
Yona peers at you from the throne that she was sat on yesterday kind of in front of this banquet table that runs left and right.
Exo is a name that has not been discussed for years.
Why do you speak his name now? She says to you. Well, she says to you, the five of you, but kind of looking at you, Abe.
[01:48:50] Speaker C: Well, because he's blown away with bloody hole in Dora, that's why.
[01:48:59] Speaker A: Jonah, he's done what?
[01:49:05] Speaker C: He's blown a great big bloody o in dollar shore.
[01:49:11] Speaker A: You. You mean he's. He's back?
[01:49:16] Speaker C: Yeah. And he's. I don't know what he's done, but he's been tampering with the world spirits or something. He's gone absolutely balmy.
[01:49:32] Speaker A: She.
Yana looks across the faces of the rest of you. I can only assume you're all wearing faces that say you agree. Like you agree with what Abe is saying.
[01:49:45] Speaker E: Yep.
[01:49:45] Speaker A: None of your pulling bunny ears behind his head. Well, it's.
I guess it's more the fact that as Yana looks to for kind of confirmation across your five faces, her eyes then land on the face of mayor Coraline Balroon.
I do not know your face, she said. Yana says, and Caroline clears her throat. And my apologies. My name is Mayor Coraline Balroon, Mayor of Dorlash Hall. And the words that Abe speaks are true.
This keeper known as Exo arrived in our town, and in an act of unprovoked hatred, he has devastated a.
An enormous part of the town.
And Yona tilts her head. And do we know why he has returned?
You father were the last one to have seen him.
[01:51:09] Speaker C: Yeah, well, I. I certainly didn't tell him to go and soup himself up with powers and try and take on a God and become a God. And I. I don't know what's happened to him, but he's got some ideas in his head, and it's gonna absolutely devastate everything if we don't do something about it.
[01:51:36] Speaker A: Well, we have not seen Exo neither.
The guards have not reported sightings of Exo, so I'm afraid I failed to see what relevance this has to us.
[01:51:52] Speaker D: He's doing something to the world spirits.
[01:52:00] Speaker A: Yana, like. She closes her eyes. And do we know what?
[01:52:12] Speaker D: Some kind of infection.
You heard of the.
The crystal infections people have got from. From touching the arm?
[01:52:23] Speaker A: Yona, I.
I have not witnessed it, but I have heard the stories of this crystallization.
Have.
[01:52:37] Speaker D: Have none of you interacted with.
You know, there's new gods, but have you. If you've not seen the old.
[01:52:52] Speaker A: The.
When you. Well, are you. I presume you're talking about the dragons. Right.
[01:53:01] Speaker D: So they've said that they have.
Last time we were here, they said that they were worshiping a new God, I think, and that they weren't allowed.
[01:53:10] Speaker A: So yeah. Gardy, as you, as you're saying this, you're like you're stood on kind of one side of the. The banquet table, if you will. Like the long table hanging on the walls to your left and right are two kind of paintings. One. And they are now you've seen them, you know for sure. One is Burunan and one is Faisa. The two type, like the two world spirits that exist on this island, the new gods, quote unquote, is the voice from the mountain that Malcolver has kind of been entertaining. But yeah, I suppose saying new old gods because like the world spirits are the most recently emerged.
[01:53:59] Speaker D: Yes.
[01:54:00] Speaker A: For dragons predated them.
[01:54:03] Speaker D: Yes. I. I have probably that exact awkward conversation with Yana and then clarifying.
[01:54:12] Speaker C: I don't mean those ones. I mean like new to you, but not you.
[01:54:18] Speaker A: Not the old new.
[01:54:20] Speaker D: Yeah.
None of you looked at Faizenbrunan.
The island is where do you think you've had the storms.
[01:54:35] Speaker A: Fiser and Burunan.
It is by my, my decree that we no longer worship them.
She's. Yana says and I think Cooper and Griffin, you are both like your backgrounds are sufficient enough that you kind of realize that she doesn't.
Yana clearly doesn't have the same kind of impacts like the weight behind her voice, the conviction behind her voice when she says that this is by my decree that they are to be no longer worshiped.
They have merely slumbered since the war and we now turn our worship to the mountains of the east.
[01:55:30] Speaker B: Oh, I mean they need help.
I mean you don't have to worship them, but we've, we've seen them and they need help.
Like they're those storms you're having all the chaos with the weather. That's it's obvious because it's them and they need help.
[01:55:52] Speaker E: It's going to cause you more problems down the line if you don't.
[01:55:58] Speaker D: You need not worship the summer or winter, but if you don't prepare for them, they'll come to you just the same.
[01:56:09] Speaker A: Yona like you see her clinching on her back teeth.
Karla Ru shifts like, like lifts, lifts his head up from his paws and kind of looks up to his master, almost sensing that there's kind of some sort of. There's something wrong with, with the chieftain.
Yana.
She. She lets out a deep sigh and I will spend another fear to. So she begins to once again repeat, it is by my decree fat.
And it's clear that she's trying to kind of talk herself out of whatever she's actually thinking by using those words.
So between the five of you, I would like you to each tell me what ability check you're using to one way or another convince Yona for what's currently happening is not enough.
So starting, we'll go backwards, starting with Garden. Backwards, starting with Gardi.
Oh, oh.
In stereo. In stereo.
Coming from George, I think.
Yes, it's George. Okay, now I'll do that.
Right.
Oh, wait, no. Yes.
[01:58:09] Speaker C: No.
[01:58:10] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:58:11] Speaker F: No, nothing. I.
I can't hear anything on my end.
[01:58:19] Speaker A: Okay, well, I'll let you guys talk. Tim, what are you doing to convince Yana to take a different path?
Because it's quite clear she's uncomfortable with the one she's on.
[01:58:32] Speaker D: Indeed.
Oh, oh, what am I doing?
[01:58:45] Speaker A: And I should also just go ahead and say that if you have an experience that you think is relevant, you can spend a hope and then we'll auto pass you.
[01:58:55] Speaker D: Oh, then yeah, I'll do that. Please, I will.
I'll just say I have spoken with them and they are in intense pain.
They need your help using my spirit speaker experience, if that's okay.
[01:59:26] Speaker A: Okay, so that is success.
[01:59:30] Speaker C: Success.
[01:59:32] Speaker A: And Georgia. And Georgia.
[01:59:36] Speaker F: I would say. Can I use. You cannot stop me a second time.
To look her straight in the eye.
See, listen, I'm going up there regardless of what you say or do.
[02:00:00] Speaker A: Okay.
Yeah, now we are definitely echoing hard, aren't we? Who's. Who? Who that.
[02:00:09] Speaker B: Wait, stop now.
[02:00:10] Speaker A: Oh, stop. Okay, we're good.
Okay. You cannot stop me. Are you getting.
[02:00:15] Speaker C: Oh, no, it's better.
[02:00:15] Speaker A: No, it's back.
[02:00:17] Speaker D: Yeah, still George's, I think.
[02:00:19] Speaker F: I. I can't hear anything, so I don't know what's happened.
[02:00:25] Speaker A: Huh.
[02:00:26] Speaker F: Okay, well, I've only got my headphones in.
I've not got any other sound thing going on. It might be that my headphones are dying because my cat's been eating them.
I'm really sorry. I can't hear anything.
[02:00:41] Speaker A: That's right. No, we seem okay now. So, yeah, you cannot stop me. So, yeah, by all means. That sounds. That sounds legit.
Chuck me a hope. And you can also pass that Griffin.
[02:01:00] Speaker B: You're saying that I can get a sort of feeling that she's really struggling with this.
[02:01:07] Speaker A: It sounds like she doesn't quite believe the words.
[02:01:11] Speaker B: Yeah.
Can I use them? My ability? What's your story, friend?
To say I.
No disrespect, but I don't think you fully do have that as your decree.
What's why, why. Why won't you help.
[02:01:42] Speaker A: For a hope if you're using your experience. What's your story, friend?
For hope you can auto pass for a stress.
She'll answer your question as well, once all said and done.
[02:01:57] Speaker B: Go on then. Spend a stress.
[02:02:03] Speaker A: Cooper.
[02:02:06] Speaker E: I don't know.
I mean, the thing is, I have an ability which is death to see there.
Which is I can spend a hope to gain advantage on a roll to deceive or trick someone into believing a lie you tell them. But I'm not sure what lie I would use to convince her in this situation.
[02:02:38] Speaker A: So which one was. Which is. Which ability is that again?
[02:02:42] Speaker E: Sorry, it's death deceiver.
So I can. I can gain advantage and spend a hope.
[02:02:48] Speaker A: Oh, right. It's an ability.
[02:02:50] Speaker E: Yes, it's an ability. But I just. What. What would he saying which is a lie to convince her.
That's what I've been trying to mull over.
Because that's my most con. That's my. My best skill here.
Otherwise I'm relying on a plus two presence to believe me.
[02:03:10] Speaker A: Which, I mean, unless you. Well, if you want to spend the hope and you can figure out how you.
[02:03:20] Speaker E: Ignore me. I have an advantage to detect lies.
So if I think he should outright to say, yeah, I'm a Griffin on this one, you're lying.
You're absolutely lying.
And I think you owe it to your people to tell the truth.
[02:03:42] Speaker A: Oh, you're negging a. You're convincing her. We're negging her.
Okay, I think.
Yeah. Okay, so roll me out.
[02:03:54] Speaker E: It'll be a presence, but it be a presence advantage.
[02:03:57] Speaker A: The presence.
[02:04:05] Speaker E: 17 with Hope.
[02:04:06] Speaker A: Yeah, baby. Yeah, baby. And last but not least, Monsieur Abe.
[02:04:14] Speaker C: Strength.
[02:04:18] Speaker A: Listen to me. Listen to me.
[02:04:23] Speaker C: I would like to use a new experience that Ape has called. No man is an island.
And I think he will just very sort of just look her straight in the eyes and say there's. There's not a day gone by since I left that I haven't thought about you.
And I haven't thought about this. I. This.
The community. And I haven't thought about your mother.
And all I can say is this community was everything.
Everything to your mother.
And we just.
Just forget about me. Don't do anything for me.
But just. Just think about that. And think about how much she loved this place. Place. And how much she loved the world. Spirits.
And how we have to. We have to help them. It's all before everything.
Just think about that.
[02:05:47] Speaker A: You may spend your hope to auto partial role.
[02:05:51] Speaker C: Thank you.
[02:05:53] Speaker A: Which means we have a clean sweep across the board.
And Yolna.
Like she has frozen, having not been able to finish the sentence by my decree.
And Abe, you watch your daughter's shoulders drop and she slumps down as if suddenly weighed down by an incredible weight.
If it were my dec.
The world, the Titans would not scream as they do at night.
If it were my decree, we would have upheld our ancestral duties to those to the Titans.
If it were my decree, I would not watch the people of Rice Vilna work themselves to the bone mining this dragon's forsaken marble.
If it were my decree, I would not have everything I do scrutinized by Malcolver.
She has.
She is strangling this village, father.
Her crazed determination, her. Her obsession with this marble, she says. And Yana, like you notice, her hand has been gripping the head of the maul like a hammer.
And as she says it, she suddenly. Her hand recoils away from the hammerhead almost as if she's been electrocuted by it. And you watch as the hammer falls and thuds into the stone ground with a resonant.
I never wanted to see you go, she says.
But you made that so very hard.
Now Golver is a poison.
[02:09:01] Speaker E: Please.
[02:09:03] Speaker A: Root it out.
[02:09:11] Speaker C: This is what it all came down to.
We tr. I. We tried. I tried to root it out. And none of you would stand up beside me.
It's all I wanted. So I same from the beginning.
If you stand by me now, we'll get rid of her.
We'll get gone.
He's poisoned in this place.
[02:09:43] Speaker A: Yona, like her head drops.
I cannot be the hands that might sound your vengeance.
But I can.
I can gather enough of the guards to reduce the resistance between you and her.
[02:10:10] Speaker C: We'll do what you can.
[02:10:11] Speaker A: She is.
She is down in the pit.
I do not want to lose more faces I have grown up with who look up to me for guidance and support.
I do not wish to lose any more of them to her pits.
Real quick, Griffin, what was the wording of your question? Sorry. And Cooper, for that matter.
[02:10:44] Speaker B: It was. It was something along the lines of I like it. Doesn't sound like you fully believe your own words. Why won't you help them?
[02:10:55] Speaker E: And I decided she was lying. That's. That was all I said.
[02:11:00] Speaker A: Well, in. In exchange for the stress that you spent. Griffin.
Yona opens up a bit more after you left, she says, looking back to you, Abe.
Malgova's intentions just became more and more brazen.
She. She began to.
Oh, that's a bit too jol.
[02:11:34] Speaker C: She's a hateful, spiteful woman.
[02:11:40] Speaker A: After you left, her intentions became wildly more brazen.
She. She began to convince us all of the. The power of the voice. From the east, from the mountains, or from the mountain.
She presented us this marble.
She showed us how.
How acquiring it was proof of our worship to the mountain.
And ever since, we have been sending parties to the mountain to mine this marble and bring it back.
I.
We have lost too many to the wilds, to the mountain.
And to her frustrations.
We should have known that turning our back on this world spirits was never the right thing to do.
But turn on them. We have.
I fear my lack of resistance to her has corrupted this place.
But all. Everyone around me tells me I'm doing the right thing.
But I see the doubt in their eyes as I see in my own.
I don't know what this marble is, but it is making us sick.
Please stop her.
[02:13:40] Speaker B: And if we stop her, will you help us?
[02:13:53] Speaker A: When we turned our backs on the Titans, I was made to expressly ban all visits to the standing stones.
I had to ban us from the place of my mother's burial.
And all I've wanted to do is visit her grave.
So, yes, helping you will let me see her again.
[02:14:41] Speaker B: Okay, well, Griffin's gonna look up at Ape and go like, lead the way.
[02:14:53] Speaker C: Can I roll for giving her a hug?
[02:14:58] Speaker A: Strength it right.
Strength.
The large beast, Kolaru stands up like, warily as you approach.
And Yona kind of looks up to you. Like, her eyes. You can see her eyes are kind of shaking.
And she does not try to resist you. If you go in for a hug.
[02:15:30] Speaker C: Oh, bless.
I think Abe will give her a big.
A big hug.
And he'll just say to her quietly so no one else can hear, it's not your fault. It was never your fault. I should have looked after you.
I should have taken you with me.
[02:15:53] Speaker A: She lets out this long, kind of stuttering sigh.
Maybe, but I've missed you.
[02:16:11] Speaker C: Oh, Bryn. I mean, Yara. I mean.
[02:16:18] Speaker A: You can call me Premier.
[02:16:26] Speaker C: Break her back a little bit. That's how I keep a show I love.
[02:16:33] Speaker A: So as you. As you all watch Abe embrace his long. Well, his estranged daughter, I think I'm just gonna go ahead and let you all take a hope.
[02:16:52] Speaker B: Yay.
[02:16:57] Speaker C: Even that hope.
[02:16:58] Speaker B: We all love it.
[02:17:01] Speaker A: When you hear a sound of commotion begin to emerge from outside. So let me go ahead and spend a fear to summon some guards.
And you. Yeah, you can hear that clearly. Word of your arrival has reached. It seemingly has reached Malver's ears.
And a.
A. A gaggle of kind of village defenders begin defense, descending on your locations as.
Pardon me, as you. Asiana sort of like, looks up to hear the sounds of the approaching guards.
She implores to the the five of you, please hurry. She says.
I. I don't know how long I can keep them busy.
Um, and Coraline, who has been stood very quietly amongst the five of you while this has all been happening, she turns to the five of you. Well, she turns to you, Abe. And for the 18 months that I've known you, I regret not getting to know you better.
But this is your fight.
I will stay here with your daughter and keep the guards busy.
[02:18:31] Speaker C: Let nobody hurt her.
[02:18:36] Speaker A: As you say that to Coraline, she tilts her head and she shrugs the coat off her shoulders, and it falls to the ground, feet exposing her full battle mage regalia.
And as she. As you say that, she grimaces slightly as she clenches her fists in the. Like the golden gauntlets she's wearing.
And her eyes blaze this light blue.
I hadn't intended on it. And as she opens her fists, blue flames ignite from between her fingers and raw up her forearms as her hands become wreathed in this bright blue flame.
Yana. Brilliant. Brillia looks a bit concerned that this lady's just caught fire, but she's all right. Yes.
So the five of you.
Yeah, as you.
As you were sort of like, in effect, shown the door, you see that there are a number of kind of defenders beginning to converge on your location, but following out behind you is Yana, Karu, and Coraline.
And y effectively emerges from between the five of you and people of R.
She bellows out, and in her sort of like, commands as chieftain, she manages to stall the guards that you may begin to make your tokens be line for Abe. You know where it is? The pit, southeastern corner.
So, yeah, as. Tell you what, I'll grab your tokens. There we go. So as the five of you.
As the five of you sort of like work your way through the streets, you can see that there are people hanging out of window, like keepers hanging out windows. What's happening. What's happening at the. The commotion outside the front of the town hall, and you reach this kind of muddy. It's still very muddy because of the rain from yesterday, but it's a slope down and it's a snaking path into like deep into the undergrowth of the forest.
As you begin descending like snaking left and right, you see that there is a large kind of deep pool of what appears to be kind of relatively stinks of stagnant water.
It looks like it's standing water, primarily from the storms.
But perhaps worryingly, you buy the tops of what appear to be large kind of metal. They look like bird cages, but sized for a keeper.
And they are submerged pretty much to the top.
But at the base of the pit alongside this pool is a cave entrance.
Would you like to enter?
[02:21:56] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah.
[02:21:57] Speaker E: Can I. Can I just double check there's no one in the cages?
I think that's an important thing to check. If there are, they aren't alive anymore.
[02:22:07] Speaker A: Well, if you're checking. If you're checking, you notice that one of the cages has a hand that's got. Put. That's gone up through the bars and then kind of turned and got kind of stuck.
But the hand is limp and the arm disappears into the. The opaque water.
[02:22:29] Speaker C: Okay. He's a nice clear.
[02:22:31] Speaker A: Given that, given the nature of this, that whoever was in those cages was left there until the waters consumed them.
As the five of you enter into the cave.
The cave.
The cave entrance is relatively wide, but narrows very quickly before opening up into a large. Like a larger cavern, like a singular cavern.
Water sloshes around your feet that also carries that same kind of stagnant smell as the water in the pits. Now behind you, Let me go ahead and give you some light so you can actually see.
[02:23:23] Speaker C: I'm still in, right? I'm still in the building.
[02:23:34] Speaker A: So, yes, we chuck you across.
So this large, I can see it now opens out.
[02:23:45] Speaker E: Mr. Mr. Dan?
[02:23:46] Speaker A: Yes.
[02:23:47] Speaker E: Question.
So I know like we are like technically charging in to find me, right? But would it. Would you argue that we are trying to sneak because we want to enter? No, I'm just. I was checking so I have self expertise which might give us advantage if we want to.
[02:24:08] Speaker C: Does Abe look like a man who sneaks?
[02:24:10] Speaker E: No, it's true.
[02:24:13] Speaker A: Stealth expertise. Something isn't that. You can give stealth to everyone else.
[02:24:17] Speaker E: I can give stealth to everybody. It's very useful.
[02:24:23] Speaker A: Well, I mean, you could always use Abe as a distraction.
[02:24:28] Speaker C: Yeah, if you all just line up perfectly behind him, it'll just look and.
[02:24:34] Speaker B: We'Ll just appear out from behind.
[02:24:35] Speaker E: Okay. To be fair, it's only if an. An ally, not all allies. So I assume it's only one. So I will. I'll park that.
Unless you. Unless you're Allowed to.
If an ally win close range. Also attempting to move unnoticed and rolls with three comm stress. Yeah.
[02:24:52] Speaker A: The way I see it is that's. That's not a one off. So if you had three allies that were attempting to sneak and they all rolled fear, you could mark a stress per ally.
[02:25:03] Speaker E: Oh, that's true.
[02:25:03] Speaker A: Make them roll with hope.
That's true. Well, so who. Who's going in? Who's going in loud? And then also then who's going in quiet with Cooper?
So who's going in loud? Abiz. You know, APIs, I mean, it's probably.
[02:25:19] Speaker E: Useful to have someone like. I know Cooper will probably use the advantage to be able to sneak from behind, take out some people.
[02:25:27] Speaker A: I mean, I will say the cave is rather gloomy and dark. So, like, going in subtly is an option. Apart from Frape, because I think he's too Abe for this.
[02:25:39] Speaker E: He's too abe.
[02:25:39] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:25:40] Speaker E: Agreed. Agreed.
[02:25:42] Speaker A: So Abe's going in loud and proud. Who's sticking back with Cooper?
Not sticking back, but going in quietly with Cooper.
[02:25:54] Speaker E: It's just me. That's fine.
[02:25:55] Speaker A: Okay. Everyone else, going in loud and proud.
[02:25:59] Speaker C: Yeah.
[02:26:00] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:26:00] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:26:02] Speaker C: Our deeps.
[02:26:03] Speaker D: Sorry. How deep's the water?
[02:26:06] Speaker C: The water is going in as alligators.
[02:26:10] Speaker A: Well, so currently it's like ankle deep, but you can see that there are deeper, deeper sections of water further in.
What are you thinking?
[02:26:22] Speaker D: I was considering going. Going a little fishy mode.
[02:26:27] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:26:29] Speaker D: And fishing around.
[02:26:30] Speaker A: Definitely.
Definitely shallow enough for little fishing mode.
[02:26:34] Speaker D: Cool.
[02:26:34] Speaker A: Okay, I'll go large fishing mode. Maybe so.
[02:26:37] Speaker D: Okay, I'll tell. Also, I'll tell Binky to stay with Cooper until things kick off.
[02:26:44] Speaker A: Okay, so we've got.
So Walpetinger is staying with Cooper.
So we've got a Walpolinger there. You are turning into an aquatic scalp.
[02:26:55] Speaker D: Yes, please.
[02:26:56] Speaker A: Okay, let me drag that onto you.
Tick. Bam.
Gardi, please describe to us what your aquatic scout looks like, because it may or may not look like that.
[02:27:10] Speaker D: Oh, an octopus is pretty fun, to be fair.
What is horned octopus like?
It's like a crab, but the legs are tentacles.
[02:27:25] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:27:26] Speaker D: It's a.
They live in the rivers around where Guardi lives. Don't worry about it.
[02:27:30] Speaker A: Perfect. Okay, so a little horned crab with tentacles. Okay.
[02:27:35] Speaker D: Yes, please.
[02:27:36] Speaker A: Marvelous. You are now an aquatic scout.
So as you barge in, Abe at the forefront, you like, you hear the sounds of the splashing of your hooves in the water.
You like, you.
You hear like a load of bats kind of fluttering around in a bit of a panic and sort of like taking off around your Heads.
But the cave in front of you opens up. It is illuminated by what seem to be these like bioluminescent orbs that are drifting through through the air.
And yeah, Garda, you can see that the water gets about knee deep immediately in front of you. But in the center of this large cavern is like a raised area, like a raised deus, if you will. There are other kind of out of water areas in the corners of this cavern, but you also notice there. So, Guardi, with your scouting abilities, you're able to recognize there are pits of very deep water scattered around the cave as well.
On the central kind of island, there are two n Rice defenders in their white robes who kind of see you coming. And they're clearly sort of like Malva's personal honor guard. Hopefully, Livy comes back. But they drop into a defensive pose as the five of you enter.
And I can't have Livy gone. No, she says he's still left.
I gotta put you back in. Hold on two secs. So, yeah, as. As you enter.
Yeah. Malgova looks to you and I should have known.
She says as you enter, you are always a busybody. You're always sticking your nose in where it wasn't wanted.
Sorry.
Oh. Oh, okay. You should become. Yeah.
[02:29:48] Speaker B: You're back.
[02:29:48] Speaker A: Hello.
Yeah.
Yes, you are.
And perhaps you'll join the other non believers in the pools outside side.
Maybe. Maybe this is the last day that you trouble me, Abel. Rick.
[02:30:08] Speaker C: No, I think you'll find it's the last day you'll trouble me and my daughter.
[02:30:15] Speaker A: I will throw you all into combat. And I think it's fair to say that we are starting with Ape.
[02:30:26] Speaker C: How far away is she from me?
[02:30:30] Speaker A: She is currently a fair old way.
So she's very far, but probably slightly beyond. Well, she is very far, but more so because of the height of the island.
[02:30:44] Speaker B: Livy.
[02:30:45] Speaker D: Livy.
[02:30:45] Speaker B: I do have Fireball.
[02:30:47] Speaker A: I can Fireball.
[02:30:50] Speaker C: Yeah. This is a perfect time to set her alight.
I mean, I.
He's never gonna get there. This is the.
[02:31:02] Speaker E: Maybe. If Nate does fireball now, then we run up.
[02:31:07] Speaker C: Yeah.
[02:31:09] Speaker F: I can't blink you there. I can teleport you there.
[02:31:15] Speaker E: Before or after?
[02:31:16] Speaker B: It's probably better after Fireball, because we'll attack you as well.
[02:31:23] Speaker E: This is something we had a problem with last time.
[02:31:26] Speaker C: Yeah.
[02:31:27] Speaker B: Well, Livy, would you like to do a tag team?
[02:31:32] Speaker C: What, with all of us? So I can get Cass blinks me in whilst you set fire to Malgulva. And I also kick her in the shin.
[02:31:44] Speaker B: I was gonna say If I. If I kind of do. If I spend the three hope to do the tag team, maybe there is something we could do together. I can squirrel monkey up your back to get a little bit more.
To get a little bit more height.
[02:32:05] Speaker A: How far can you blink, Cass?
[02:32:08] Speaker F: Thank you for that question. I shall check.
[02:32:13] Speaker A: Because far will get you on.
[02:32:17] Speaker B: See the thing is my fireball can do very far.
[02:32:25] Speaker A: Well, what's what we think it sounding like Griffin wants to throw a fireball.
[02:32:31] Speaker C: Griffin, do you fireball do your first. I could just imagine AB Is starting to to as if he's gonna start a run and a sort of Braveheart style charge and then you.
[02:32:49] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:32:49] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:32:49] Speaker C: Got yourself in right.
[02:32:52] Speaker A: So it's Griffin first.
[02:32:54] Speaker E: Hello.
[02:32:55] Speaker B: Where is my. Oh no, I've lost my character sheet. Hang on, hang on.
[02:32:59] Speaker A: Wait, wait, wait, wait.
[02:33:01] Speaker B: There it is.
Griffin.
[02:33:08] Speaker A: Well, I feel like the plan of oh, let's be sneaky from Cooper Agardi has gone out the window with the words fireball.
[02:33:18] Speaker E: It's fine.
[02:33:22] Speaker B: Yeah.
So Griffin will just sort of stand in front of Abe and just kind of go. Can I just try one thing? I promise I'll get it right this time.
[02:33:35] Speaker E: Okay.
[02:33:36] Speaker C: Just says no fire.
[02:33:40] Speaker B: So yes. I've got to do a spellcaster roll.
[02:33:43] Speaker A: Yes.
[02:33:46] Speaker B: No.
The target of all the creatures within very close range of them. So I'm firing mova.
[02:33:52] Speaker A: Well, so you have to do the spell cast roll first and then on a success. And they can jump. Jump out the way. Where are you casting this? At Mulgulva?
[02:34:02] Speaker C: Yes.
[02:34:04] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:34:08] Speaker B: Is that. Does anyone want to give me an advantage?
It's because I've been rolling like shite.
[02:34:15] Speaker D: I'm just a craptopus. I can't help. I'm sorry.
[02:34:19] Speaker A: I can.
[02:34:21] Speaker B: I can spend a hope.
[02:34:23] Speaker C: I'm just a little craptopus.
[02:34:24] Speaker B: I can spend a hope to use my experience of knowledge of arcane magic to sort of hone back into my historical knowledge of arcane magic.
[02:34:33] Speaker A: I'll give you plus two. Yeah.
[02:34:35] Speaker B: Present plus two. Go on.
[02:34:38] Speaker A: At Malver.
[02:34:41] Speaker B: So that's a 12.
[02:34:46] Speaker C: I can.
[02:34:47] Speaker B: Oh, I also would like to use a rally dice.
[02:34:50] Speaker A: Rally yourself. Okay. Yes, please.
Is this a. Like you've done a little.
Yeah, you do it this time. Come on.
[02:35:02] Speaker B: It's a D6.
[02:35:03] Speaker D: Nice, nice, nice, nice.
[02:35:06] Speaker A: So you're on 12 at the moment.
So that's 17.
[02:35:09] Speaker B: 17.
[02:35:12] Speaker C: I. When I. I have a new ability called support tank.
When an ally within close range fails a roll, you. I can spend two. I hope. And they can re roll either their hope or Their fear dice.
If you would like to re roll one of those dice, it depends.
[02:35:29] Speaker B: Was it a fail?
And it was with hope.
[02:35:33] Speaker C: Was it a fail?
[02:35:34] Speaker A: So sorry Griffin, you prompted this with a. You could do it. You could do it. And then you've out loud said it.
[02:35:46] Speaker B: Could be my new dad. Come on, just do this.
[02:35:50] Speaker A: I can do this. I've shouted no.
[02:35:52] Speaker C: Fire.
[02:35:54] Speaker A: What does your fireball look like?
[02:35:56] Speaker B: Looks a fireball.
Yeah, it's. Yeah, it just looks like a fireball.
[02:36:02] Speaker A: Okay, the five of you watch in adoration, horror, concern as this motive, this ball of flame it conjures in Griffin's hand. And are you like throwing it like a ball or does it like blast out of an open palm?
[02:36:22] Speaker B: It blasts out of like an open palm.
[02:36:23] Speaker A: Okay, Griffin. Griffin sort fires this fireball. It arcs upwards towards the.
[02:36:33] Speaker C: The.
[02:36:33] Speaker A: The plimp like the. The island in the middle of the cavern.
And you watch as like the three.
So the three, the two guards just sort of like they bend their knees as if they go. They're getting ready to dive out of the way. Malgor is just frozen like a stone. And she's letting out this high pitched flaming sphere looms into water.
And I will spend a fear.
Oh. As the flame descends on Malgor's position, you watch as the fireball, this conjuration of arcane magic just putter seemingly shrinks and then puffs into nothingness.
Like you see like Griffin, as you peer and wonder what on earth has just happened. You see like Mal Gore is covering her head, like covering her face in a futile attempt to protect herself. The guards are on the floor sprawled out.
And in between the three of them is a little plant here with a perfectly formed white marble orb that has just absorbed your spell.
And Malgova like pulls her hands away from her face. And the mountain has blessed me, she says.
Who's up next, droid?
[02:38:27] Speaker C: Cass.
Shall we? Please get me up there.
[02:38:33] Speaker F: I think I have enough hope. That's. That's probably a good question to start with. Do I have enough hope?
[02:38:38] Speaker A: It costs three so.
[02:38:39] Speaker F: Yes I do.
[02:38:41] Speaker C: Good.
[02:38:41] Speaker F: Ah, it's all my hope.
I'm counting on you, new papa.
Put out my hand.
[02:38:59] Speaker A: Shall we?
Sorry, mate. I'll let you fireball someone else soon.
[02:39:05] Speaker C: Yeah, one day. One day.
[02:39:07] Speaker A: You're allowed to send someone someday other than yourself.
[02:39:10] Speaker C: Yeah.
[02:39:13] Speaker A: Wait, hang on. I think. Yeah, we're on a. We're on a 50. 50 of who's taken damage from one of Griffin's fire spells. And 50 is Griffin.
[02:39:22] Speaker C: Griffin.
Yeah.
[02:39:24] Speaker A: Oh, I'm Sorry.
I'll give you the. The whole 80 million fight, and you can just drop a fireball on board.
Okay, so, Cass, you're grabbing Abe's hand.
[02:39:38] Speaker F: Yep.
[02:39:39] Speaker A: Okay.
And if you.
So what do. What do. What do we do for blink?
[02:39:47] Speaker F: So that's. I. I did just check, and then I forgot completely.
Make a spellcast roll.
[02:39:53] Speaker A: Okay, so make a spellcast roll. If you want to chuck in an experience, by all means.
You don't need it.
[02:40:04] Speaker C: Don't need it.
[02:40:05] Speaker A: Tell you what. Well, the whole tag team bit. Begging pardon, what's Abe doing as part of this tag team? Are you both sort of like, running, teleporting, and then speedy thing go in, speedy thing go out?
[02:40:16] Speaker C: Yeah, I know. I think so. I think it's like Abe just starts blindly, like, running, and I feel like Cass is just kind of like, going in, grabbing his hand, and be like, I can get you there quicker, mate. You don't have to scramble up a mountain.
And just kind of like before he even knows it, he's just like that sort of gut wrenching, like.
[02:40:35] Speaker D: What.
[02:40:36] Speaker C: What the hell?
[02:40:38] Speaker A: You're planning on throwing hands when you arrive?
[02:40:40] Speaker C: Absolutely.
[02:40:41] Speaker A: Okay, if you roll me, the attack roll.
So we've got a 13 with fear.
[02:40:46] Speaker E: And.
[02:40:47] Speaker A: And obviously, we'll just use these as our two rolls for the tag team.
[02:40:52] Speaker C: Wait, what? What? Close. Close.
Is that my technique? Yeah.
[02:40:59] Speaker A: 14 with fear. So we'll take the. I presume. Well, it's up to you whether you take the 13 with fear or 14 with fear.
[02:41:06] Speaker C: Oh, we'll take the teleporting with fear.
[02:41:09] Speaker A: Okay, so you.
So, Georgia, if you move cast to where you want to teleport to.
[02:41:17] Speaker F: Yes, Very far range. So far range is.
[02:41:25] Speaker A: Pretty much the center of the.
[02:41:28] Speaker F: Yeah, so I'll grab you as far as I can go, and then you might have to run the rest of the way to Deca.
[02:41:32] Speaker C: Oh.
[02:41:37] Speaker F: Sorry, I'm scrolling. There we go.
[02:41:42] Speaker A: Okay. In which case, Abe, you materialize alongside Cass.
You.
So what. What does your blink out look like again? Exactly?
[02:41:55] Speaker F: I think, yeah, Cass kind of like, runs alongside you.
Not very fast runner, but, like, grabs hold of you as you're running towards this.
What you'd call it.
[02:42:10] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[02:42:10] Speaker C: Little island.
[02:42:12] Speaker F: And there's like this crackle of thunder in the air and like this rumble and a flash of small lightning. And in that flash, we teleport across the distance. And in another flash, we're right in front of us.
[02:42:26] Speaker A: Okay, so as you. You successfully teleport through. So you. You rolled high enough for that, Abe, as You emerge. You've roll. So we've collectively rolled a 14 with fear.
Roll me some damage.
[02:42:44] Speaker C: Yes.
[02:42:46] Speaker A: And what are you SW.
[02:42:58] Speaker C: With My ax.
[02:43:01] Speaker A: Okay?
[02:43:02] Speaker C: It's all reliable.
[02:43:04] Speaker A: 20 damage, eh?
[02:43:06] Speaker C: 20 damage, please.
I'm gonna slice and dice her, okay?
I don't care that she's an old lady.
[02:43:16] Speaker A: Ab.
[02:43:21] Speaker C: Is she dead?
[02:43:25] Speaker A: Talk me through this.
[02:43:33] Speaker F: She's an old lady.
[02:43:48] Speaker E: We should have known, guys.
[02:43:50] Speaker D: She's an old lady.
Just mean.
[02:43:54] Speaker C: I mean, I'm just gonna chop her head off. Clean off. Clean off her shoulders.
[02:44:00] Speaker A: Okay?
[02:44:02] Speaker D: Surely this will end the fight, gang.
[02:44:07] Speaker A: As you. As the two of you appear with a flash of lightning.
[02:44:13] Speaker C: Abe.
[02:44:14] Speaker A: Your.
Like your.
Your arm muscles, like your biceps bulge as your arm extends. And with a effortlessness. Effortlessness. Effortless. You know what I'm trying to say. With a single swing that is well practiced from all of that tree felling that you've spent your years doing. Oh, Libby's so excited. We've lost her again.
Malgova's. Oh. Oh, we've got Livy back.
Yeah, we're gonna be back. Yeah.
[02:44:47] Speaker C: Sorry. Went out. Yeah.
[02:44:52] Speaker A: Yeah. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Lady Vengeance. Effortlessness.
Yeah. Malgo's just, like, pulled her head, her hands away, and she's yelled out, the mountain protects. And then you've appeared and the slices. And, like, her face still has this jubilant look of glee as it kind of soars away from her shoulders and as it. Like.
Like, as her head lands on the stonework on the stone cave floor. And, like, her body rocks for a moment. And, like, you see her arms just instinctively go to touch where her head is before the body rocks forward and the head. The head.
The face looks up to you, Abe. And there's like, a moment of recognition, like, moment of confusion before it gives way to recognition. And then she.
And you can see her trying to word something, but there are no lungs to give her words air.
And her eyes just unfocus.
And Mova lies dead.
[02:46:06] Speaker B: Job done.
[02:46:09] Speaker C: Just ages. Kind of turns to Cass.
[02:46:14] Speaker A: And as the two. As you turn to Cass, you see the two other, like, the. The.
The Nay Rice. The Nay rice defenders sort like looking up and you've killed her. One of. One of the. The keeper's shouts. And like.
Abe, were you expecting more?
[02:46:36] Speaker C: I thought she'd be, you know, magically protected.
Anything, you know, I know that she's an old lady, but I thought, you know, there'll be something going on with this.
[02:46:47] Speaker A: Well, as you sort of, like, look down at her. Her body. Cass, you like your Attention's been grabbed by these two keepers that have just sort of, like, exclaimed, you know, oh, what? What have you done?
And you suddenly, like, your head start it. You suddenly get this kind of wave, this feeling, something like waving through your mind, like a sudden onset. You. You feel like you're on the tidebreaker again, but the waves of the sea are instead sloshing through your mind.
And you. You find your. One of your. Like, your right leg, your right knee kind of buckles for a moment, and you stumble, and your attention turns to this plinth, this white marble orb sat on top of it.
And as you peer at it, you feel like you can hear a voice that's not Abe's and it's not yours.
And you all, like, as you peer at it closer and closer, you don't know if it's this headache, but. But the air, the space around you starts to go purple.
And when you glance up to Abe for a moment, you recognize that look on Abe's face, that he's also seeing everything go purple.
And those of you still at the cave entrance, you can see the interior of the cave has now become purple.
And Cass, in your mind, an Abe in your mind.
And in Griffin, Gardi, and Cooper's minds, you hear a voice say, well, this is interesting, but I'm glad she's gone.
Purple was always my color.
And we will call it that.
[02:49:14] Speaker E: What?
[02:49:17] Speaker D: That was good.
[02:49:18] Speaker A: That was great.
[02:49:21] Speaker E: I was concerned for a second we were gonna have, like, a Galadriel instead of a dark lord. You would have a queen moment with Cass Pan.
That's what I thought was going to happen.
[02:49:32] Speaker F: Second. I was like, is it going to be Cass and Abe versus everyone else.
[02:49:40] Speaker C: Crazy baby, or just me and you against the world?
[02:49:46] Speaker F: Piece of cake.
[02:49:47] Speaker C: Could be worse.
[02:49:48] Speaker D: I don't fancy our chances if it is.
[02:49:49] Speaker A: Congratulations.
Congratulations, everyone, on completing episode nine.
So.
Dun, dun, dun. Yes.
We have done it. We are at the end of episode nine. Yeah. Who'd have thought that punking an old woman would be as much of a pushover as it was?
