Are we all ready? [00:04:07] Speaker C: Yes, we're ready. [00:04:10] Speaker A: Let's go. [00:04:27] Speaker B: Hello, I'm Nate and I'll be playing Griffin, a Sanguvar bard. [00:04:33] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Livy and I'm playing Abe, the Guardian Keeper. [00:04:39] Speaker E: Hello, my name is Theo and I'll be playing Cooper, the dragon scent rogue. [00:04:45] Speaker D: Hi, my name is Georgia and I'll be playing Cassandre, an ace of our sorcerer. [00:04:51] Speaker F: Hi, I'm Tim and I'm playing Gardi, the Johnny Druid. [00:04:57] Speaker A: And my name is DM Dan, the games master. In this adventure, Many people wiser than me would tell you that conflict causes enormous stress and strain on the world, encouraging one to inflict misery and hardship on others. They will point to the events of the War of Dragons over three years ago as proof that not even the gods themselves are immune to the perils of conflict. Indeed, the devastation wrought upon the world of elsewhere is plenty proof enough. However, conflict does not have to breed disaster and naught else. Before the war, conflict would inspire those to reconsider, invent or consolidate to reach a more beneficial outcome for all. The streets of Dorlashal are rife with conflicts that encourage progress. The unusual union of neighbors in one small town, perhaps more extravagantly, the Titan Isles mirror this conflict as well. A paradise spawned from the energies of the two world spirits, Faiza and Buru Nan. As five souls come together at the start of our journey, who knows what conflicts will drive them on to higher glory? Or perhaps what conflicts will drive them to indiscriminate ruin. [00:06:51] Speaker E: And. [00:06:54] Speaker A: So we find. In a small little town built on the side of a large rock like mound emerging from the sea, a sea of gently rolling azure blue, we see a small little town made of light colored stone. To better reflect the near constant display of sunshine that rains down from above. People scurry backwards and forwards, chatting to each other, smiling, waving, wishing each other well as they go about their daily business. And near the center of the town, in a relatively open plaza, stands two vertical columns between which an Intricate sandstone colored arch hangs beneath the arch and between the columns is a swirling, shimmering miasma, one that occasionally, frequently flickers to show some other place beyond the veil. And with a characteristic and now familiar sound, two figures step through onto the sunny streets of Dorlishal. As the two figures emerge and take in the, the sights, the sun. The first thing you notice is how, how much brighter and warmer this, this town Dawlish hall seems to be than where you've just come from. The bustling capital city of Avermor. Decidedly more temperate back in the capital. But as you kind of get over that kind of familiar queasiness in your guts as you kind of steady yourself having just used the portal, the two of you see two figures, a, a Laura woman who looks slightly, who looks a little, a little bit older perhaps her, her late 40s, early 50s stood alongside a tall, slender silver scaled dragon scent. And spying these two new arrivals, the ace ofar, the, the Laur woman and the dragon scent man dressed in regal kind of what you presume is a guard's uniform come scurrying over, rushing over to greet you as they. Georgia, please describe your character to us. [00:10:19] Speaker D: Oh yes, certainly. Cassandra is an Acevar so she has the customary pointy ears of Esavar. She has a lot a mass of ginger hair that she's sort of got piled in quite a messy bun. We've got lots of pencils and bits that are stuck in there to hold it in place. And she has sort of the wide eyed interested expression of one who is about to ask a lot of questions about the portal they've just come through. She's, she's very excited to be there. [00:10:57] Speaker A: Amazing. And Tim, describe your character to us. [00:11:03] Speaker E: Sure. [00:11:04] Speaker F: So Gadi is one of the grey skinned Mijani with the customary crystal horn jutting out from his forehead, although he also has some slightly smaller crystalline growths across his forehead as well, which his grandmother always told him marked him out for greatness but he never paid too much heed. He's wearing kind of simple traveling clothes and looks relatively overwhelmed most of the time. [00:11:41] Speaker A: Amazing. Well, as the two of you watch these like these locals approach you at, at speed, maybe not speed, but they certainly look like they've been, they've been waiting for you. Um, the ace of our woman, she is the one who kind of addresses you first and foremost. She kind of takes a very central position in front of the two of you with the dragon sense stood behind her and as she sort of like brings herself up to like Brit stands herself up straight. You see her kind of flick some hair over her kind of pointed earth and she smiles. It's a genuine smile. Hello. Welcome to Dorlash Hall. Thank you for coming. Thank you for for responding to our missives. My name is Mayor Mayor Coraline Balroon. I am the Mayor of Dorlishal. I tend I overlook the the day to day proceedings of the city and her people. I I. Well have you have you been explorers long? She says and she she looks like she's not entirely sure how to sort of like hold a conversation. Perhaps the the mantle of mayorship is still slightly kind of odd to her. But have you been explorers long? She says, looking for small talk. [00:13:20] Speaker D: Long enough. Long enough. So when do we get to see them. [00:13:28] Speaker A: Coraline? So the Mayor sort of like raises her eyebrows, perhaps her suspicions, her sort of like expectations of what explorers would would be like seemingly proven. And she sort of like turns her head to glance at her companion. So this tall slender silver skin, a silver scaled dragon scent with this kind of luscious mane of kind of sun yellow hair cresting from the top of his head, emerging from the tip of his tail that swishes around sort of around his ankles almost in a metronomic kind of way and sort of like one hand clasped at the small of his back. He gestures with his other. He well I'm sure there will be time to soon. Soon absolutely. But perhaps we want you you would want to get yourself slightly settled in to the town, see what we have to offer you you. It would be wise not to want to hurry too quickly. He says and you notice him glance slightly like northwards towards the sea and as you kind of follow his tr. His gaze over the rooftops of the buildings that kind of tower above you you can see the the peaks of some of the like mountains that are emerging from the Titan Isles to the north of you like across the sea. But curiously, perhaps worryingly, especially maybe for you Cassandra Cassandra, is that as you look north whilst here in Dorlishal the sun is beaming, the breeze is gentle, there's this warm. The warmth tingles your skin. The skies over the aisles are tinged with a dark violet like a a violet darkness peels of pink lightning racing through the heavy clouds overhead. There may be some issues with sending you right now, the dragon scent says, but as soon as it's safe and as soon as it's safe I'm sure we can we can get you on on your way. The the dragon scent then sort of like raises his eyebrows in surprise and My. My apologies. Getting to business straight away. My name is Captain Thaniel Hastings. I am the Captain of the guard. So whilst my. My colleague here, whilst the mayor looks after the people who are. Who are doing what they're supposed to be doing, I am primarily in charge of the people who are doing what they're not supposed to be doing. And like there's a self righteous kind of importance on his face. Like he holds his position with pride as he kind of gives himself almost a very curt nod. And I'm sure we can. Yes, if you're not too fussed flummoxed about not going straight away, please. I'm sure we can show you some of the wonders that Dorlashal has to offer. [00:17:08] Speaker D: You called us here specifically for a reason. I was under the impression that it was. [00:17:19] Speaker A: The. The mayor, like she nods and. Well, yes, when. When we put out the missive, we. We were worried about the. The weather. The weather that was happening over the isles. It seems this localized storm over. Over the mainland. It was already pretty violent when we. When we submitted the. The explorer missive to Avermore, but in. In the week or so since we posted that missive, the storm has been getting steadily worse. Unfortunately, our harbour masters decided that no vessels allowed to head to the mainland. The waters are too. Too dangerous at the moment. When the storm quells, we will make sure that you are on the first ship towards the mainland. If that. If that. If that suits. [00:18:23] Speaker F: Spirits. But I see for your hospitality. But we're not here as tourists. [00:18:31] Speaker A: Yes, I. I understand that. I appreciate that. Like, again, I thank you for your. For the speed in which you've responded. But I. I worry. I worry that if I were to put you on a ship to the isles now, I would be sending you to a early and watery grave. And that is something I absolutely do not want to happen. So please, we. We're hoping that come the morning the. The storm will be somewhat more manageable. But please, if you. If you follow me, we've set you up with some lodgings at the local inn and you know, we'll be. We'll make sure that we are in direct contact. So as soon as you're able to travel to the mainland to investigate this phenomena, you can. The. The Mayor sort of like smiles, nods. It's clear that she kind of re. Like her face says she realizes that the urgency of the missives, like summoning explorers to door shell to. To investigate these storms. It. It was quite an urgent missive. But yeah, you. You, Cassandra, you certainly kind of acknowledged that she is a woman that seems to have some. Seems quite a little bit po faced, a little bit egg on face because actually you've, you've arrived here and now she can't send you. But she smiles at your acceptance and please follow me she says. And as she leads the two of you away northwards, well in a north easterly direction we turn two, Two more figures stood. Stood on a jetty looking out to sea which again the sea gently laps against the docks and the piers. You can see a. A an impressive number of sort of like fishing vessels. Well primarily fishing vessels that are all moored up here on the harbor. But you can see that there are also a lot of dock hands that are just kind of idling sat around on boxes and barrels kind of gossiping or just sort of like wait wasting time for all except whiling away the time. You can see a number of bored fishermen sat on the edges of their boats rolling their eyes and tutting as eyes venture north to this roiling purple storm that dominates the the mainland to the north. And two figures that stand out from the the locals of Dolashal like the fishermen and the. And the dock workers. Theo, describe to me your character. [00:21:51] Speaker E: Cooper is a copper colored dragon sense. He has. He's wearing a diagonal vest with like lots of different colors of a white undershirt shorts. He, he's not massively tall for a dragon scent. I think they, they stand a bit taller so I'd say they're about 6 foot. So I think he stands on level with his companion. He has what is left of two horns like kind of like they look like they were like ripped off at the top of his head and a mane of red hair which is like slightly graying at the tips. And in terms of his coloring as well, even though he's like copper colored strangely he. Something about the way like the light shines on his scales. It looks like he always has a permanent 12 o' clock shadow. And yeah, he's just kind of just chilling out I think just he seems very dashing, very charming as is his way forward just chatting with his companion. [00:22:57] Speaker A: Okay, well speaking of said companion perhaps slightly more energetic than Cooper. Nate, describe to me your character. [00:23:12] Speaker B: Griffin is an. An ace of R. But he has obviously one of the most striking parts of him is the fact that he has red eyes marking him as a sanguvar. But he has sort of dirty blonde sort of billowing hair that goes over sort of one side that sort of is opposite sort of like a very closely Shaven part of his head. He's wearing sort of noble clothes, but he. It's obvious that he's been wearing them for a very long time. They're quite worn. They've got patches over them. Not really knowing whether or not he had these to begin with, whether he stole them, whether he got them somehow, no one really knows, and he's not gonna tell them, really, but he is. He's sort of kind of hopping from. Sort of slightly hopping from one foot to the other. He's got a concertina sort of in his hand. He's not really playing it, but he's sort of pedaling his fingers along the keys, just trying to keep to sort of, like, a sort of rhythm on it. And I like to think he's kind of just yammering at Cooper without actually. [00:24:36] Speaker E: So. [00:24:37] Speaker B: So Conrad in the big copper pot, he was saying that, like, he had, like, these napkins with, like, a special color on them. And I was like, oh, that's really good. I think that's really matching with your branding. But then Belvasa in the lobster, he was like, oh, no, that's copying my one. And I was just like, fellas, fellas, you can't. Can't you just have, like, the same color? I mean, this one's a little bit peachy. This one's, like, a little bit more sort of like. Like an auburn red, you know? So I was saying, like, look, you guys, you can still be like. People still really want all different sorts of seafood around here. Like, some people want crab, some people want lobster. So I was saying, like, can't we just get along? You know, you. I mean, we're on the same route. Like, lots of tourists go through here. So, you know, what do you think, Cooper? [00:25:17] Speaker E: I mean, you know, seafood to seafood. [00:25:21] Speaker A: I don't know. [00:25:22] Speaker E: That's what I said. [00:25:22] Speaker B: And I said they probably would like. Some people really like some different kind of seafood, you know, because I quite fancy crab, like, most of the time. I really like crab, by the way. Do you like crab? I love crab, so. But I said, like, some people like lobster. Some people want to go a little bit more out of there, you know? So I was just like, yeah, I think they made up. They had a fight. [00:25:41] Speaker E: All right, that was. That's cool. Like, did someone get or anything? Okay. [00:25:48] Speaker B: And then they really liked that color of red. So then they started fighting over sort of, like, the blood red that they could have on the napkins. And I just said, well, one of you's gonna make up a situation and then they hit me, and I. I didn't know why. I think it was just because I was giving some branding advice. [00:26:02] Speaker E: But, you know, I think you should probably just stick to the plane, mate. [00:26:08] Speaker C: Pain was good. [00:26:09] Speaker B: I know. Yeah, I like that. But I was kind of thinking that I could probably branch out into something else, you know, because playing can only get you so far. Maybe I could, you know, sort of do, like, restaurant branding. I think that would be quite fun. I've seen, like, the. The barrel around the corner. They're starting to do, like, little umbrellas. I think that would go really great, like, everywhere. [00:26:29] Speaker A: When. When the GM can't even side step back in. I. My heart bleeds. Cooper, as you like, as Griffin is just sort of like bombarding you with this, like, stream of consciousness. You're like, is there anything in particular on the harbor that you're kind of keeping an eye on either in the harbor? Are you perhaps keeping an eye on the storm or what. What's. Because I imagine. I'm imagining some of your answers to. To Griffin are just the sort of like, huh, yeah, huh. That you do when you're on the phone. So what. What's. Is there anything particular that's actually got your attention? [00:27:19] Speaker E: He's definitely like. Like half listening, for sure. I think he. After the time he spent with Griffin for the last few days, maybe weeks that he's been here, I'm not entirely sure, but, you know, he's got used to Griffin. He doesn't mind him talking. He doesn't always have a response, but, you know, he, you know, like, it's not. Yeah, yeah, okay. He's probably more interested in what's going on in the harbor just in regards to having finished a job recently. Recently with the pirates here and just keeping an eye out to see if there's anyone he. He notices, whether he should be, you know, keeping a bit of a lower interest. Like, does he need to go inside somewhere with Griffin or is Griffin causing too much attention? That's usually like his thing. [00:28:08] Speaker A: Sure. [00:28:08] Speaker E: You know. [00:28:09] Speaker A: Well, in which case, as you're kind of keeping an eye out across that harbor in general, your eyes do spy amongst the. The sort of like the. The relatively kind of almost like, you know, well, amongst the burly dock hands that are kind of loitering around. You do notice this small little kind of waif of a lauriver who's kind of wildly out of place thanks to his sort of like, clean clothes, like his bright, clean clothes and this sort of like, almost like a clipboard of Sorts and a big kind of feathery quill. And you spy this, like, this, this young lad kind of going from presumably what it looks like be from like boat captain to boat captain. And he looks quite sheepish and timid because every time he leaves one of these groups of sailors, it's always to the sounds of like, despair or like upset frustration. Like, they start like, jeering, sort of like waving fists at him as he sort of like scurries away before there's any kind of like physical retribution. And as it, like, Cooper, you've just been watching this, this lad kind of coming down the harbor, like, upsetting all of the sailors along the way. And then he finishes rough, like, in front of the two of you, and just like, lets out a little puff, like a little sigh. What's up? [00:29:53] Speaker C: What's up? [00:29:54] Speaker A: And tell us. And the harbor master turns to you, you, Cooper, you know this lad to be called Montague. He. It's perhaps, Cooper, perhaps with your years of experience, it's clear that this lad has been gifted this job by virtue of kind, like, not out of experience. He's just. He was kind of in the right place, right time kind of thing. [00:30:26] Speaker E: Is he a Nepo baby Dan? [00:30:29] Speaker A: He might be. He might be. It looks like, yes, it looks like he was certainly carried here on someone else's coattails. But yeah, Montague, just like, he lets out a little sigh, turns to you, and you see him sort of like adjusting the little kind of magnifying lenses attached to the side of his glasses. And as you ask him what's up, like, well, how he is, Griffin, he turns to you. And I just. I just don't understand why they're so upset. I mean, it's the same thing that I told them yesterday. The storm's getting worse, so there's just absolutely no way that they're. I mean, they're probably not even going to find any fish out there if they did go out. But no, it's my fault that there's a massive giant purple thunderstorm over the island. Of course it's my fault. Just because maybe, maybe it's because I'm wearing purple. Maybe that's why he says. And just like, you can see he's trying to, like, release all of this frustration. And then he like, does a little tiny, pathetic little stamp of his foot on the floor and then he. [00:31:34] Speaker B: I'll cheer up little Monty, you know, I mean, yeah, it's big cloud. Big scary Woo. Don't like that. But don't worry, it will soon pass. It Always does. Like we've seen. We've seen like a couple of these now. They always pass. [00:31:49] Speaker A: He, he, he nods. Well I hope so because if, if the storm doesn't pass soon, then all of this lot, he says, gesturing wildly to the dock hands, they're probably going to riot and I've already got enough of a handful looking after all the pirates over on dockside. I don't need this lot causing trouble as well. If you do. Maybe, maybe if you have a moment, if you could head over to the sailor sanctum, please. Someone needs to get a message through to Renangar that these storms just have to stop. I mean that's the sky is his domain. I don't know why he's not sorting it. I am. I've got too much work to do, he says. And so like you see him, he's like leafing through pages like manifest that manifests on his clipboard. And then he thank you. He says quite sincerely. And then you seem sort of like skulk off. Like his shoulders dropped a little bit as he's just clearly exhausted from the gauntlet of angry doc dockers. And as the two of you watch him go, there's a like near like just over to you. The, the largest ship in the dock. It's a large kind of three sailed bark that's docked on the far right kind of jetty. You see stood at the sort of like the entrance. There's a gangplank from the jetty like a fixed kind of gang plank from a jetty to the side of the ship and like leaning against the door frame watching Montague kind of scurry off. You see this large kind of burly looking bearded wolfkin man and cooper. You've been here, you've been in Dorlishal for a little while, right? [00:33:52] Speaker E: Yep. [00:33:55] Speaker A: He sort of like waves over to you and you recognize the silhouette of Matteo Bravetti. He's the kind of the innkeep of the Windward Peregrine, which is the large ship that's moored up in the docks which has now been converted into a income tavern. He kind of gives you a little wave having just kind of spied you having seen Montague coming of storm off. And he kind of shouts out to you, hey Koopa, you coming for a drink later? [00:34:36] Speaker E: Of course I am. Like I'm on holiday. So you know, he, he says this in a very kind of like, I wouldn't say aggravated tone, but it's like I've been on holiday for a bit too long. Now he's like, I'm on holiday is what he tells everyone. But he's not. He's not. [00:34:56] Speaker A: He. In which case sort of like as you kind of give him an affirmative, he sort of like gives you a big thumbs up and then you see him step into. Step into the ship like the. The. Well, the main. He steps into the ship which is now the tavern. And as the two of you sort of like turn your attentions back to the now very disgruntled dock workers. [00:35:27] Speaker E: Far. [00:35:28] Speaker A: Like quite far away from the sea by comparison. All the way in the southwest corner, stood on a ridge overlooking this sprawling little town called Dor Le Shal, stands a solitary figure. Like you're on a path that leads down into, like into the town proper. Livy, describe your character to us. [00:36:02] Speaker C: Abe is very tall, very, very wide. He is a sort of older grizzly keeper. He has sort of the stereotypical keeper horns, but they're a bit more sort of ram like. And the most telltale side of him being a keeper is he's got big old goat legs that he's stomping around on. He. Yeah. I mean the best way to describe him is weathered, I would. I would say. And he's standing sort of. Yeah. On this path down looking over the town and looking up at the storm. He has a sort of mug that he's obviously brought with him of hot something. Coffee, alcohol, who knows. And he is exchanging glances at. Grumbling at the storm to. Grumbling at the town in. In quick succession just. And sort of drinking his coffee as he's kind of making his way down the hill in a sort of slow but determined walk. I would. [00:37:35] Speaker A: Sure. Well, as you. As you're making your way down, you've. You've learned that this like the southwestern corner, like the southwestern chunk of. Of this town is known as mound side. And it appears to be, from what you understand, it appears to be where all the rich. The rich noble of Dorlishal have set up here. The houses are large, they're extravagant, they're excessive almost. But presumably as you start sort of like trampling through some of their back gardens on your way, discriminately, just. Yes, just like, like Trump. Like stomping through their flower beds, like stepping over their little. Almost like picket fences. What, what do you make of the, like the influx of people? I mean obviously you. You yourself, as I'm saying it, aren't native to this place. But like now that Dorlishal positively teams with now what. Who can now be Considered locals, but also tourists pouring into the beaches. So there's a beach to the north of you, West Point beach, and Titan's beach, just kind of further around the coast, like, with new faces constantly pouring through the portals from Avenmoor to take, you know, residence in the holiday homes of Upper Dorlishal. What are. What are you. What are your thoughts about this town? [00:39:19] Speaker C: Not great. Abe came here for a quiet, easy, solitary life where he could carve out a little piece of paradise for himself without people or anything else to bother him. And as soon as that bloody portal was built, they've just come in, building up, gentrifying the whole place. Like, we didn't have macchiato, and now we've got macchiato going on, you know, and he's just not. He's not happy with it. He just. He just wants to. He just wants some broke Alex and goats and live a quiet and humble life. And all these bloody rich people are coming in, building their holiday homes. They only stay here like three times a year. Don't pay taxes. [00:40:18] Speaker A: Okay, so as you're sort of like grumbling yourself to yourself, and you. You make your way onto the main street, which, you know that the. The locals have dubbed the. This street that runs from sort of like one. The western edge of Doal all the way. So the southwestern corner of Doa all the way to the northeastern corner of the town. And they've referred to it as the Noble's Knot, which espec. You know, as you kind of move away from the, like the sneering kind. [00:40:53] Speaker C: Of. [00:40:56] Speaker A: The sneering posh folk whose lawns you've trampled, like, you. You understand that the. The name of this road is a bit of an in. Joke from the sailors that formed the expedition that's founded this. This town. Because primarily the Noble's Knot is not quite a nautical mile in distance, but the frequency from what you understand, the frequency with which nobles would ask, oh, is that a mile? Was that. Are we there yet? The fact that this isn't quite a knot seems quite. Yeah, it's just a joke at Noble's expense. And you're not entirely sure if the nobles know that it's a joke or not. [00:41:42] Speaker C: They don't understand the word noble and thought, oh, yeah, that's me. [00:41:46] Speaker A: Yes, exactly. Exactly. So, Abe, you. Where is. As you make your way onto the Noble's Knot proper, where is it you're heading? [00:42:00] Speaker C: He is heading towards the bay or the seafront to take a look and see, because he's Waiting to hear what is going on with this storm. He's got stuff to do and they're all a bunch of layouts so they're probably not you know, doing what they need to do. [00:42:23] Speaker A: Sure. Okay. In which case as. So as we kind of follow Abe as he sort of like trundles down this not quite nautical mile long road with the crowds sort of like passing around this, this sort of like this giant of a. Of a keepers. Have you, have you got your ax with you or is it just like the shield on what, what are you carrying with you? [00:42:56] Speaker C: He's not. Yeah, he's not got his, his ax with him. He just, just has a big old. Yeah. Cup of coffee. [00:43:09] Speaker A: Sure. [00:43:12] Speaker C: He's just brought it down from his house because he ate. Bye. He ain't paying the prices in town, is he? So he's brought, he's just bringing it along. He's coming down. He wants to just kind of, you know those old guys just look at diggers. He just wants to do that on the, on the ships. [00:43:29] Speaker A: In which case. [00:43:30] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:43:30] Speaker A: As we kind of follow behind your sort like lumbering gate, you like you head, you're heading along the Noble's Knot. As you go to, you are about to turn left to head towards what the locals refer to as the waters, which is the like the harbor dock kind of area north, north edge of the town. You from your like vantage point looking, peering over the heads of all of the other non keepers. Not even sort of like a hundred feet further down the road you can see the like the wooden roof of the sailor's sanctum. Um, the one primary shrine in Dorlishal, um, that's you know is dedicated to the, the sky watcher Renangar. But you can also see that blesser, the shrine tender is desperately trying to fend off sort of like angry patrons who are like dock workers by the looks of it there. You know, you can, you can't quite hear exactly what they're saying, but you can hear that there is a bit of a hubbub yeah. As you turn left up towards the waters because yeah. You know that you'll be searching for the harbor master to find out what the deal is with all these ships. You bump into a Majani and a Laura Var woman like Manjani man. Sorry, it's an ace. My pardon. And the like as you sort of like collide. Guardi, what is your first impression of. [00:45:22] Speaker F: Abe sprawled on the floor having been broadsided by an eight foot man? I'm just. [00:45:36] Speaker C: I didn't touch him. [00:45:37] Speaker F: Keep looking up. So probably my first. [00:45:45] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:45:45] Speaker F: First impression is just of concern about the size of this, of this guy. Secondly, a little bit excited because it. Those are hooves. Probably a keeper. And he hasn't, he hasn't chatted to one of those for a while. Thirdly, he's gonna want to make sure that you're okay. Like tell me sorry about that. So you're right there. I say like dusted myself off. [00:46:14] Speaker C: Oh, he didn't. Oh, I didn't even see you down there. I'm sorry. I, I. You are. Oh God. I didn't touch him. I didn't touch him anyone. I didn't. [00:46:24] Speaker A: As you protest right that you did. You did not touch him. This very same slender, long necked, self righteous dragon scent kind of steps forward and good sir, you. But you weren't looking where you were going and you barreled right into him. You can't, you can't just trample around here like this is your, your mountains. You need to be careful of where you're going. [00:46:50] Speaker E: It's quite all right, friend. [00:46:51] Speaker F: It's quite all right. No harm done. [00:46:55] Speaker A: The so f. Hastings kind of looks down to you and real like as he looks back up suddenly, despite the fact that Thanuel himself is quite tall, he is still dwarfed by you, Abe. And as this dragon sense seemingly shrinks back into himself slightly, the Mayor, like Mayor Balroon kneels down and helps pick you up. Guardi. I'm sure it was an accident, she says, gesturing to you. Hello Abe. How are you doing? [00:47:27] Speaker C: I'm fine, I'm fine. I just seen what's going on down here. I see you got all the boats and they haven't gone nowhere, have they? [00:47:35] Speaker A: No, no. In fact, well, if you care to join us, we're actually accompanying these two to the, to the, to the water's edge to see if we can find the dear old Montague. See if we can learn what the, the state of the. The sailing manifestos look like. Do you, would you like to join us? [00:47:55] Speaker C: Well, I'm walking that way, but I won't join you. I mean I'm. I'll be going the way that you're going, boy. For you know. I'm fine walking myself there. I don't need an escort. [00:48:10] Speaker A: Mayor Bow room sort of like raises her eyebrows and a smirk. And of course not, Abe, she says. [00:48:16] Speaker C: I've been here for longer than you have. [00:48:20] Speaker A: She sort of like smiles and just like gesture like steps back to allow you to pass. And yeah, she. The. The Sl looks to the two of you, Cassandre and Guardi. And don't mind him, he's. Well, he's one of the locals for that. Doesn't consider us local. She says. [00:48:41] Speaker C: You're bloody not local, are you? Anyway, all right. I just. Just taps Guardi kind of roughly. Sort of a crippling on the shoulder. Just kind of like you're right back on the floor. You're fine. All right. Have a nice time. Do whatever you're doing. Starts walking towards the harbor. [00:49:08] Speaker F: A minute so that it doesn't seem like we're. We're next to him. [00:49:15] Speaker A: Well, I'll. I'll leave it up to you to decide whether or not you immediately tell or give Abe a little bit of a wide berth. But yeah, we like, we turned to the. The water's edge, Cooper and Griffin. You can see sort of like what Cooper perhaps? No, maybe it's Griffin. So like, as you're excitedly kind of looking around the harbor, your eye catches sight of this towering figure emerging from sort of like one of the streets. And it's immediately clear that this, this eight, this older looking kind of eight foot plus keeper just isn't used to moving around people like say you or your best friend Cooper are. But yeah, as this keeper sort of like is lumbering towards you, you then see like two other relatively colorful figures figures emerge from sort of like the. The crowds behind him and Cooper. As your attention is drawn in the direction of Griffins. As you see this keeper, what. Describe to me how you feel. As from behind this hulking keeper, a very familiar silhouette emerges. [00:50:59] Speaker E: I feel like the sensation of like someone pouring cold water down your back is exactly. I think he freezes like he's been caught stealing something. Like a cat trying to sneak off somewhere and being caught by an owner. He is. He freezes. I don't think Griffin has ever seen him look a little like this before. And before hopefully before anyone can see him or anything else, he just. The most desperate look on his face looks like it was. Hide me. Don't let her see me. [00:51:36] Speaker A: We've got. We. [00:51:37] Speaker E: We need to. [00:51:38] Speaker B: Let's go. [00:51:39] Speaker E: Nothing. Let's go. Shall we just go? You know, I don't mind helping someone out. Let's just do the same as saying to. Let's just do that. Let's go. [00:51:48] Speaker A: Let's go, let's go. You know what I think? I think I'm not going to have you roll, Theo. I think I'm going to have Georgia roll. If you could so elegantly bestow upon us an instinct role, the first role, an instinct to perceive. So this would be like a non, a reactionary. So no hope or fear at stake here. [00:52:28] Speaker D: That is a 13 with hope. [00:52:31] Speaker A: That is a 13. 13 with hope. Cassandra, what goes through your mind when Abe, who you've given a little bit of distance, kind of steps like veers off slightly and then like in the, in the space that Abe's silhouette was occupying, you see this very familiar looking copper scaled dragon scent like staring at you from across the the harbor, like the dock. And then sort of like there's a burst of like frantic energy as he talks to this like Ace of Ars Agravar stood next to him. And then he attempts to hide and make himself look as small as he possibly can. [00:53:33] Speaker D: Hasn't changed a bit. I feel like Cassandra, she's. She's been looking at, she's been observing the boats to see if there's one that she believes will get them across the water. She doesn't care what any harbour master says. She doesn't care care what anyone says about the weather. If she thinks it's going to get them across, they're going to use it. And instead she sees someone she does not wish to be seeing who should not be here in this very important mission of her life. I think she locks eyes with him briefly and then she just puts her goggles down across her eyes and she turns to Gardi. [00:54:14] Speaker F: Are you alright Cass? You look ready to fight. [00:54:17] Speaker D: Oh, I'm wonderful. I'm great. Listen, I've got an idea. You are going to steal us a boat right now. We are getting off this island right now. What do you say? [00:54:36] Speaker F: Now I like your plan. It is a good one. Minor thought we might die in the storms. [00:54:47] Speaker D: Ah, see Gardy, this is why, this is why you're with me. See I faced worse than that little bit of water over there. And you can too. We both can. We will get what we want as long as you right now steal us a boat. [00:55:09] Speaker F: I haven't been in a boat much, so maybe you steal the boat and I'll wait here until you do it. [00:55:20] Speaker A: As the two of you are. Well as you're concocting this plan, Griffin, you've, you've just been sort of like, you know, claw on face as Coop's just been like hide, hide me, hide me. And you, you've spotted Griffin. [00:55:46] Speaker D: How, How? [00:55:47] Speaker A: Well would you say you can pick out explorers in a crowd? [00:55:52] Speaker B: I would say. I mean he probably wouldn't be able to pick out just a random explorer, but I kind of get the feeling that because they're with the mayor that they're probably of some relatively high importance, and they're not sort of. You know, he's probably not seen them. He's definitely not seeing them around, so they must be new. And the way that they're probably dressed, he could get the gist that they're explorers. Okay. [00:56:23] Speaker A: In April. [00:56:25] Speaker B: It's all right. Sorry. They're explorers. [00:56:27] Speaker A: They're explorers. [00:56:27] Speaker B: It's fine. Like, you're not off. They're not after you for anything. Are you. Can't you. Yeah, there's a. [00:56:33] Speaker A: A box. A box. [00:56:34] Speaker B: There's a box right here. You can hide behind this box. I'll get this box and put this. [00:56:37] Speaker A: Box right in front of you. [00:56:38] Speaker B: Right. I'll sit on. I'll sit on. You get in the box. I'll sit in the box. No, I won't sit in. I'll sit on top of the box. If I sit on top of the box and you get in the box, then I just stand. I just stand here. Go. [00:56:49] Speaker C: Like. [00:56:49] Speaker B: Hey. And then they won't even. [00:56:53] Speaker E: It's not going to work. It's too late. It's too late. [00:56:59] Speaker A: Damn. What do I do? [00:57:01] Speaker B: How do I look? Wait. [00:57:02] Speaker E: No. [00:57:03] Speaker B: Stupid question. Do you know them? Cooper? Do you know. [00:57:06] Speaker E: It's very complicated. Yes. [00:57:08] Speaker B: Do you have time? Is it complicated as in you can explain it to me, like, now? Or do we need to. Do we need to go somewhere else and explain it to me? [00:57:15] Speaker A: There? [00:57:15] Speaker E: Talk. Look, we can talk about it at some point. Not right now, but it's complicated. I just. I just. I know one of them. [00:57:23] Speaker B: You know? [00:57:24] Speaker A: What? [00:57:24] Speaker B: Which one? Which one? The majority. Do you know the majority? How do you know the woman? [00:57:30] Speaker E: I'm not telling you. [00:57:32] Speaker B: How do you know the woman? Cooper, how do you know the woman? This has gotten exciting. Tell me, how did you know the woman? [00:57:43] Speaker E: And redder as she's like, trying to like, like breathe because it's been a long time and he's just, like, looking around. [00:57:51] Speaker B: Did you kill her husband? Did you steal her husband? [00:57:54] Speaker E: No. [00:57:55] Speaker B: Did you steal a wife? [00:57:56] Speaker A: No. No. [00:57:59] Speaker E: Look, Griffin, I promised at some point, not right now, I will explain, but really not right now. Let's. Let's not right now, but I would prefer to leave if we can, but I think she's distracted. [00:58:12] Speaker B: I mean, the box idea is still here. [00:58:14] Speaker E: Yeah, this. Shall we? Because the guy said about leaving, we could. We could go ask about the. The blessing or something. I don't know. I'm just something else. Yeah, that's it. That's the ticket. I'm on holiday. I've forgotten everything about this box already. Let's just. Let's just go. Let's go. Let's try to go. [00:58:34] Speaker B: And on the way, tell me all the juicy details. [00:58:38] Speaker E: I'll tell you something, we'll see. [00:58:43] Speaker A: As the two of you attempt to sort of like, well, Cooper specifically, as you attempt to slink away, you hear this, like, this voice, like, breach the like cuts through the sea air like a silver trumpet. I assume you're not getting up to no good here and like you, perhaps. Well, I'll let you decide how you're reacting to it. But you immediately identify the voice of watch Captain Daniel Hastings. Like, Captain Faniel Hastings. And like, he's looking over at you somewhat imperiously. And so, like, you can't. Like, as you focus on your attention on him, your eyes also kind of track back slightly and you can see Cassandre seemingly scheming with this Majorani. It's difficult to tell how on board the Majorani is with the scheme, But you notice that they are sort of like getting closer and closer to the point where for you to kind of break away towards Save the Sailor Sanctum, you're overall extensive purpose. You'd have to cross paths. Perhaps the. The nearest place of relative safety is the Peregrine, like the. The Large Ship Tavern. [01:00:17] Speaker E: So Cooper does not get on with Daniel, which would make perfect sense that Daniel Hastings and Cooper do not get on. He. [01:00:25] Speaker A: So you are a person of interest. [01:00:27] Speaker E: In f. He's a person of interest to me, as in, I'm not interested in what he has to say or do at all. So Cooper's very much like, all right, Gov, everything's good. Nothing's happening. Just on holiday, as I've told you since I've been here. Okay, sure, sure. [01:00:52] Speaker A: Yeah. Are you. What, are the two of you staying put and letting Cassandra and Gardi kind of pass by, or are you ducking out the way. [01:01:03] Speaker E: Trying to think if Cooper's gonna try and like. What's the word? Like, smooth it out. Like, try and regain his composure and just be kind of cool. [01:01:12] Speaker D: Just style it out. Just style it. [01:01:14] Speaker E: Yeah, that's it. Style it out. He's just gonna style it out. This is like, oh, God. He's just gonna take a moment and Griffin's gonna see, like, it's almost like he's just like. If he had hair to slick back, like properly stick back and feel like that's what he would do. It's like, right. Cassandra. Hello, Cassandra. How you doing? Long time no see. This is my friend Griffin. [01:01:41] Speaker B: We totally didn't try run away. [01:01:43] Speaker E: We did not. Hi. Who's your friend? [01:01:52] Speaker F: Cass. They might be able to help us steal a boat. Can you help us steal a boat? [01:01:57] Speaker A: Yeah, sure. [01:02:02] Speaker D: Cooper. [01:02:04] Speaker C: Hi. [01:02:06] Speaker E: Hi. [01:02:07] Speaker D: Long time no see. [01:02:09] Speaker E: That's what I just said. [01:02:10] Speaker D: What are you doing here? [01:02:12] Speaker E: I'm on holiday. What are you doing here? [01:02:17] Speaker D: Working. [01:02:18] Speaker E: Ah, good. Did do a lot of that. So are you seeing a boat? Interesting. [01:02:26] Speaker D: That was the plan, yes. [01:02:31] Speaker A: Guardian. Griffin, What's going through your minds? We'll start with Gardi first. As suddenly the air, the very air around you turns to treacle like a thick, noxious black sludge. [01:02:55] Speaker F: I am thinking that these guys need to have a burning ceremony asap. I don't know what their beef is, But they got to sort this. Like, if we're gonna steal a boat, we need to get on with it. We don't have time to. Whatever this problem is. And I'm probably just like, awkwardly smiling to Griffin. Be like. Good to meet you. [01:03:24] Speaker B: Hi, I'm Griffin. [01:03:25] Speaker A: Nice to meet you. [01:03:26] Speaker B: What's your name? [01:03:28] Speaker F: Gaddy. [01:03:29] Speaker B: You explorers. [01:03:31] Speaker F: Hey, yourself. [01:03:33] Speaker B: No. [01:03:34] Speaker E: No. [01:03:36] Speaker B: Never. No. No. Maybe I thought about it, but it's not really. It's not really my thing. But someone had. Did approach me one time and I almost did it. Felt like it was a little bit of a trick, but it wasn't actually. They. They were. They were scamming me. They actually just wanted to take my money. But I did get a cool coin out of it in the end of it. But no, not an adventurer. Don't. Not an explorer. I don't really want to be one. But it's cool. It's cool. You are. You look. You look really cool. You look like you're a really good explorer. [01:04:04] Speaker F: I'd love to see your cool coin. [01:04:06] Speaker B: Oh, get it out. When he gets out, this cool coin. [01:04:08] Speaker F: Oh, I'm, like, only about 30% listening to Griffin and the rest of my attention is like, on. What on earth is going on with these two? [01:04:18] Speaker A: Has there been a way word shared between Cassandra and Cooper since Griffin and G started talking? Or has it just been just inside looks. [01:04:31] Speaker E: Just like. Like, it's like. Like deadlock of, like seeing a boat. Yeah. Shooting a boat. [01:04:38] Speaker C: Nothing. [01:04:39] Speaker E: As these two just died talking. [01:04:43] Speaker A: Griffin, do you. Well, Nate, actually. Nate, does Griffin acknowledge what may or may not be happening? Or has this social interaction gone a little bit over his head in his, like, retrieval? [01:04:58] Speaker B: I think it's gone a little bit over his head. He. He's noticed that something is a little bit on edge, but he kind of goes like, well, it's Cooper. Cooper will be like, Cooper will be able to get out of this. He always seems to be able to get out of these sort of things. So he'll be absolutely fine. And he is much more interested about this boat that is apparently going to be stolen. [01:05:17] Speaker A: Okay. In which case. Yeah, as. As there's a. An awkward silence that spreads between Cassandre Coupe with like, Griffin and Guardi as spectators. The silence is kind of interrupted by you, Abe, as you're like, you've just found out from the local harbor, from the har. Master, this. This scrawny little runt of a laur boy called Montague that no, there are no boats going. And what is your protestation that cuts through. Cuts through this. The awkward silence? [01:05:53] Speaker C: What time is it next? The. The protestation is just Pete's sake. It's been going all like this for days. I got things to do, and I can't get over those with my little ship, can I? I would. I don't ever want to come and deal with these big stupid boats. But why can't you do nothing? Why, you just. You just. Little stupid little man. [01:06:24] Speaker A: Montague is shrinking by the moment in your shadow as usual, as you. [01:06:31] Speaker C: Why, you don't even know why you. Oh, you even hired you. [01:06:37] Speaker A: And you watch this poor little lore of our boys on the verge of breaking, just emotionally crumbling under the pressure of your. Of your frustration. I'm sorry, it's just. There's just absolutely no way that I can sanction any of our boats to sail in this weather. And he. [01:07:01] Speaker C: My. [01:07:01] Speaker A: My hands are tied. He says if you. If you're looking to go to the islands, then either you'll have to try and attempt it in your little rowboat, which I don't recommend because look at that. Look at that storm. And I don't know why you want to go over to the island when it's in that state anyway, but there's just absolutely no legal recourse for you to be able to head over there. I'm sorry, you'll just have to come back tomorrow. [01:07:27] Speaker C: You told me that yesterday. [01:07:29] Speaker A: Well, yes, but I thought the storm was going to finish by today. Yesterday. But clearly it hasn't. But I'm hopeful that it will stop by tomorrow. [01:07:37] Speaker C: Tomorrow. Tomorrow. It's always bloody tomorrow in it. I just got sake. I got. It's just. Just looking impressed as anyone else that I'm going to the pub. [01:07:53] Speaker D: Did we hear this exchange? Are we close enough to have heard this? In token? [01:07:56] Speaker A: Absolutely did. [01:07:56] Speaker D: I think Cassandra sort of breaks out of her dead eye stare with Cooper just sort of turn around. Just kind of appears around this keeper like. Did you say legal? [01:08:12] Speaker C: Me? No, I didn't say nothing, love. [01:08:19] Speaker D: You said legal ways of getting to the island. [01:08:22] Speaker A: Oh, sorry, you are. I. I do have a job to do. Yeah. Montague sort of like blinks a couple of times and. Well. Well, yes, of course I can only speak for the. The. The. The vessels sanction for you. [01:08:40] Speaker D: If one wanted to get to the island, say in a less than legal manner. And this is purely hypothetical, of course. How would you do that? Possibly as soon as possible. [01:08:54] Speaker A: Montague looks quite frayed and like as you've kind of swooped over in your. Now. Now you're looming over him. He just like. He starts like his mouth starts off flapping as he's trying to figure out like what he's supposed to say. But then he spies because they're still with you. Like they're hopefully out of earshot. But then he spies the Mayor and the captain of the guard and Montague just sort of like. His eyes quiver slightly and he. I'm afraid I cannot answer that question. Oh. Oh, oh, Mayor. Yes. I have some urgent business with you. And he's sort of like. He looks at you as he sort of like crab shuffles away the attempt to. To escape your interrogation and like. Montague all but like runs to the Mayor, stands behind her like a scared child. Okay. Like a frightened little child. And sort of like he starts talking. He's pointing at his. His clipboard and then he. It looks like he's trying to use her to. As an escape route. The Mayor kind of pauses. His franticness looks to you and it would seem. Well, she. She looks to Cassandre and Guardi and. My apologies. I appear to be pulled. Being pulled away on some urgent matter. The. We've. We've set you up some lodgings in the Wimber Peregrine. That's the. The three cell bark in the harbor there. If you speak to the Inkeep is a lovely fellow called Mato. He will. He'll get you set up. Please enjoy Enjoy your stay. The food and food and drink is. Is on the council. So yes, enjoy Enjoy the pleasures that Dorlashal has to offer you whilst we wait for this storm to pass. She. She sort of like nods, turns to Montague who's all. All but like tugging on her sleeve now. Oh, Tim's Dead. And then, yeah, the. The three of them leave, fundamentally leaving the five of you on the dock, like, in the shadow of the wind of the. The ship named the Windward. Peregrine. Yes. Abe, you've certainly just seen this. Like, this ace of Our woman's just turned up and been like, what do you mean, legal? [01:11:48] Speaker D: She just looks at you and slept. [01:11:53] Speaker C: Well, there won't be no tours going on, if that's why you're here. So you might as well just get back in that little portal of yours and go home. [01:12:04] Speaker D: We're here on very important business, and we have to get to that island. [01:12:10] Speaker C: Why is not much over there? Well, there is, but I hope that you want to go over there. What do you have over there? Why you want to go over there? Stay around here. There's loads of stuff. Like, they got a sand castle display down the end, if that's what you're interested in. Or they've got loads of stuff going on here. I don't know why you'd want to go on holiday over there. [01:12:33] Speaker A: Sorry, I'm just. I'm just tracking, like, Abe's thought process. Why'd you want to go over there? There's nothing over there apart from two gods. But what else you. [01:12:43] Speaker C: She's here for, you know, touristy things. Why you want to go see that? [01:12:47] Speaker D: You got. [01:12:47] Speaker C: Got the slot. Slot machines down the end. And you got, you know, cotton candy or whatever they want down here, you know. [01:12:58] Speaker A: Well, so the. Yeah. The two of you. What, Coop, you've just, like, how have you been, Coop? Apart from. Because it feels like you might be. You might be feeling a little bit suspended in time and space, having kind of seen Cassandra, and Cassandra is now kind of rushed off to interrogate. Well, to interrogate this. To interrogate Montague and is now talking to his keeper. But as you're overhearing, like, what. What's. What's the plan? You five. Because the five of you accidentally come together. [01:13:33] Speaker C: Well, Abe's going to the pub. I mean, the way with Peregrine to get a drink. That's certainly what. How he's going. You're right, love. Well, go enjoy your. All day. I'm off. [01:13:47] Speaker A: Is there between Cooper and Griffin? Is there. Like, it sounds like both of them want a vessel. Do either of you know someone who might help? [01:13:59] Speaker E: Oh, Cooper does. Oh, my gosh. Cooper. Like, he's thinking about the fact that he does know somebody and then realizes this probably isn't the great idea. But also. [01:14:17] Speaker A: If. [01:14:17] Speaker E: If he gives her the information and the Support. Maybe she'll leave and then he can pretend this is information never happened. You're looking for a legal way to get off the island, right? I know a pirate. I mean, I say pirate walking on the line of pirates. She wouldn't call herself a pirate, but anyway, she's great. Very nice. Probably could help. I did her a favor, so she kind of owes me a favor, I guess. I'm on holiday. I don't want to be doing anything else. But if you really need a boat, I could talk to her. Maybe she might want some money. If you've got money, she'll probably help. I don't really have anything. [01:15:15] Speaker D: What's the catch? [01:15:18] Speaker E: You go to the island and I get to continue my holiday. [01:15:24] Speaker D: Well, that sounds great for both of us. [01:15:25] Speaker E: Exactly. I don't see what the problem is. It's great, Gaddy. [01:15:30] Speaker D: We're going to go see a pirate. [01:15:34] Speaker F: Cass, you're seeming a lot more try me than usual today. [01:15:41] Speaker D: We were told that if we came here, we could get to that island, right? Now all I've been told since I've come here was that we can't come to that island. Now do you want to get to that island or not? [01:15:53] Speaker F: I'm gonna have a look. See that? See that? Hastings is just about far away. Enough. [01:16:01] Speaker D: Cass is like, we're going to commit a crime. [01:16:04] Speaker F: Let's try and. [01:16:10] Speaker A: Okay. So. Well, Cooper, you know that Ellesmera usually. I mean the way the windward Peregrine is the. The main kind of tavern hub of the town. It's. It's quite iconic in. In terms of locations in Dorlishal. So. And you know that Ellesmera primarily spends majority of her day like propping the. [01:16:33] Speaker B: Bar up. [01:16:36] Speaker A: Seemingly just kind of like ear wigging in on what perhaps with all the people that come and going. Her setting up shop in the Peregrine is how she manages to find out a little bit about everyone. So yeah, you know, but as you peer up to the ship and you can see this keeper stomping towards. But yeah, heading to the Peregrine, you'll be able to bump into Ellas Mirror. [01:17:04] Speaker E: Yeah, I mean she's gonna be in the pub probably. So I suggest you go get settled into your lodgings or whatever. We can get a drink, I can talk to Ellie and we leave it at that. [01:17:19] Speaker A: Okay. In which case, if everyone's in agreement, pub, pub, pub, pub. Amazing. So we. We kind of fast forward a little bit and Theo, describe to me like the ambiance of the. Of like the Peregrine in general. So bear in mind, obviously, it's made from a. It's converted from a. From a large kind of sailing ship. But what's the ambiance? What's the. Like the invert. Com is the decor either of the. The Peregrine as a whole or maybe the little kind of booth that you're in. The booth itself being like a converted. Like once upon a time. You can see the cannon hatch, like, on the wall to your right, and like the benches are built into, like, to replace the cannons for all extensive purposes. Yeah. What's. What's the. What's the vibe? What's the decor like? [01:18:24] Speaker E: I think, like, in terms of vibe, like, I feel like. Because it's obviously quite close to the dock, so you feel like it'd be like workers and dock workers would come into this pub. But then it's also marketed to be a touristy pub because of its historical outgoings. So you've got a real mesh of, like, locals who live and die by this pub. This is their pub. And anyone else in this pub is going to get kicked out. And then you've got the tourists who. We've heard about the famous peregrine. We want to go have a drink in here. And there's like this real clash all the way through the pub. And you can kind of feel it in the decor. So some of the decor is, like, brand new and obviously quite gentrified. And other bits hasn't really been touched because the locals will not let you change it. Like this. [01:19:07] Speaker A: This. [01:19:08] Speaker E: These particular tables, they are crusty and old and were there when the pub was originally opened. But then you've got other tables that have. Obviously they're trying to, like, refresh the pub slowly, but everything about the locals, like, stand in the way of properly gentrifying the pub. So I think you've got, like, real mesh going on. I think our booth is probably a more oldie, Wyoming booth. Yeah, definitely. [01:19:38] Speaker A: Okay, I'm. I. I'll also add then that who's. Who's sat at the table with Coop. So Griffin definitely is presumably Cassandra is. Because this is in. In aid of the boat. Is. Is G at the table with them? [01:20:04] Speaker F: Yeah, yeah, I'll be. I'll be maybe standing next to the table. [01:20:09] Speaker A: Okay. And is Abe at the table or is Abe grumbling quietly into a tankard at the bar? [01:20:16] Speaker C: Abe will be at the bar. He couldn't fit behind the table anyway if he tried. So he's kind of. He's just standing sort of kind of leaning. But he knows from previous experiences at going to the wayward peregrine, they can't actually lean on the bar because he has broken the bar before from leaning on it. So he's just kind of hovering and he's. They're filled up his tankard that his coffee cup that he's brought in because it's the correct size. So Mateo knows to fill up his own tankard that he brings with him. [01:20:55] Speaker A: Sure. Yeah. [01:20:56] Speaker F: You're. [01:20:56] Speaker A: You're. You're paying for two each time you order one. [01:20:58] Speaker C: Each time I order one, yeah. Which isn't fair, by the way. You shouldn't discriminate on the size of the man. [01:21:07] Speaker A: Unfortunately, my friend, it's just purely based on how much of a barrel you're emptying. [01:21:14] Speaker C: Been drinking here as long as I have lived. It's been here and I. So I just. Sorry for I slow. Lucky it's you, Matty. That's all I'm saying. It's lucky it's you. [01:21:26] Speaker A: Matteo kind of gives you a nod and a wink. And so like Ava, as you glance over at that table where those four like oddballs that you were sort of like you bumped into. Sorry, that bumped into. Into you. [01:21:46] Speaker C: Yeah, they bumped into it. Right. [01:21:50] Speaker A: You can see that the four of them are sort of like sat or stood on one side of a table. And opposite them, on the other side of this sort of like table booth is a. She's a face that you would also recognize, Abe. She is a rather athletic looking ace of our woman. She's got slightly. Well, she's got, you know, her skin is tanned from being in the son of dollar shoal as much as she is her purple. Her like lilacy purple hair is pulled back in a ponytail and there are two shocks of like bone white streaks that are pulled back with the rest of it. She sat in, she's wearing this sort of like very plain looking, like crop top type shirt that it seems to be kind of doing the rounds in terms of fashion. You've seen a couple of the. The youngins wearing like half a shirt. [01:22:59] Speaker C: He's cold. [01:23:00] Speaker A: Exactly. Um, but you notice that whilst the. The. The other four, well, the three that sat down are somewhat cramped. She's just sort of like taking up the whole side of her bench. She's got one foot on the. On the bench next to her and she's swilling what appears to be a very expensive glass of wine. That from what you've gathered, what you've overheard from the order from Matio was the Ticket like the. The price of entry to talk to her. [01:23:33] Speaker E: And. [01:23:36] Speaker A: Cooper. Cassandre, Griffin, Guardi, this Asavar, this Acar. Lady Elmira tilts her head. And so you're after a boat, you say? [01:23:54] Speaker C: Yes. [01:23:56] Speaker A: And you want to sail. You. You're. You're that desperate that you want to sail to the Isles in this weather? [01:24:05] Speaker D: Yes. [01:24:08] Speaker A: Marvelous, she says, and there's this sort of like, twinkle of mischief in her eyes as she locks eyes with you. Cassandre, I. Well, thanks to. Where your. You know, your help on. Well, thanks to your cooperation with certain people within the town, Cooper, I'm sure that I know a few things. I know I know enough people that we could get you aboard one of the pirate vessels off out of the. Near the docks of Dockside, whilst, bless him, whilst Montague is rushing around dilly dallying, worrying about such things as naval safety. I know that the pirates are still sending ships out into the waters by the hour there. There's a lot of furrowed brows and frowns from the. The goody, the. The. The do gooders of Dorlishal, but I'm sure that we could. If you. If you grease my palm enough that we can grease the pirate. The palms of the pirates, I'm sure we can get you aboard one of their vessels and onto the island much sooner than the official Dollar Shoal manifesto would allow you to. How does that sound? [01:25:36] Speaker D: How much are we talking? [01:25:39] Speaker A: Well, I operate on favors, you see. So it sounds like if you're. Well, if you're going to the island, to the aisle, then, well, you either come back or you won't. So if you don't manage to come back, then it's quite pointless asking for you, for any payment from you. But if you are heading to the aisles, perhaps. Perhaps there you could. You could hold an IOU for me. And when I think of something that would be beneficial for me to have, then we set up a little trade, little agreements. One adventuring soul to another, she said. One inquisitive soul to another, she says, like with a slight purse of the lips. [01:26:25] Speaker D: Cassandra, I think Cass will have sort of just enough wherewithal to, like, cast a glance at Gadi just to make sure that he. He will also be owing this favor. She's decided to make sure he's fine with. With. She's completely fine with owing a pirate a favor. [01:26:45] Speaker A: But. [01:26:48] Speaker F: I think I'd rather know the nature of the favor before we go too much further down the roads. [01:26:55] Speaker A: Well, certain, the Isles are bountiful with things that you. That Defy belief. I suppose that is the. That is the bonus of being an island inhabited by gods. So the pirates already run certain. Certain jobs onto the. Bring certain items back. Back from the aisles. Isn't that right, Cooper dear? She says, and she flushes you a little look. [01:27:27] Speaker E: Yes, ma'. [01:27:28] Speaker C: Am. [01:27:29] Speaker E: Very happy to help. [01:27:31] Speaker A: So I'm sure there might. There might even be a few little trinkets. If this is all to say that first you'll have to ingratiate yourselves with the pirates. So perhaps if you're. If you're willing, I could set up a little meeting between yourselves and with. With them, they can get a. An idea of what you're bringing to the table and then we can go from there. But I, I suspect that the scale of the IOU wholly depends on your first impressions with our naval explorers. [01:28:12] Speaker F: Well, if we can agree, it's not. [01:28:13] Speaker A: Going to be anything. [01:28:16] Speaker F: Too illegal. Really not trying to get myself in prison on my first day here. [01:28:25] Speaker A: Ellas mirror smiles and come now. The pirates are allowed to be here. Everything they do is legal. [01:28:33] Speaker F: I look back at Cass with like a. Is it. [01:28:38] Speaker D: Cass is like probably. [01:28:43] Speaker A: All right, can I assume that all four of you are. Are joining this, this little troupe? [01:28:55] Speaker E: I feel like Cooper is about to like, say no, but then he hesitates, probably for too long. [01:29:06] Speaker C: What. [01:29:07] Speaker E: What was Griffin's reaction? Because I feel like he will react first. [01:29:10] Speaker B: He's probably just like looking around him, just kind of going, oh, us? [01:29:16] Speaker A: Yes, this. [01:29:19] Speaker B: I don't know. I'm up for it. [01:29:21] Speaker A: Cooper Goofen. [01:29:25] Speaker F: It would be useful. It sounds like you know the pirates. [01:29:28] Speaker E: So I mean, you know the pirates. [01:29:32] Speaker B: Super. You really know them. Like you pretty much like chatting with them every, Every day. [01:29:39] Speaker E: Sure, sure, fine. I will come to the meeting if it helps you get off the island quicker, which was part of the point. [01:29:48] Speaker D: I love that. [01:29:50] Speaker E: Yes. [01:29:52] Speaker A: Griffin, you are also like as you, as you sign yourself and Cooper up for on this little journey, on this, on this friends trip. This, this sea trip's not road trip. It's a sea trip. You, you would also be like, you're also aware that that big keeper guy who you overheard sort of like bemoaning the fact that he couldn't make it to the aisles, is stood at the bar currently drinking out of a tankard larger. [01:30:28] Speaker B: In that case. In that case, I, I like to think that Griffin's actually sitting in the middle of Cooper. Excuse me. [01:30:38] Speaker A: Give me two seconds. [01:30:39] Speaker B: Two seconds, two seconds. I'll be right. I'll be back in a minute. Back in a Moment he's gonna sort of trundle himself up to the bar and it's not, it's obviously not hard to find Abe sitting at the bar. Find him in between the crowd, just. [01:30:55] Speaker C: Pop up between his legs. [01:30:56] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:30:57] Speaker B: Hi. He's gonna, just sort of sunlit behind me and he's just gonna go like, hey, big guy. Hey. [01:31:13] Speaker C: Takes another drink to the sim. [01:31:19] Speaker B: So I've, I've, I've seen you around for time to time. I don't think we've met. Hi, I'm Griffin. Nice to meet you. You're, you're, you're bloody big. But that's cool. You were saying you need to get across to the island, weren't you? [01:31:36] Speaker C: Good. Yeah, yeah, yeah. [01:31:38] Speaker B: Well, we're getting in on some naughty illegal things with the pirates and we were wondering if you. Well, I was wondering, I was wondering. And he sort of puts his hand over like your big hand. [01:31:54] Speaker A: Like he puts both of his hands over his big, over your big head. [01:31:58] Speaker C: It's like just, just scoops it just off again. [01:32:01] Speaker A: Oh, okay. [01:32:02] Speaker E: Okay. [01:32:03] Speaker B: Not a touchy person. I get it. I should have asked. Sorry. Consent. I was wondering if you would like to come with us. [01:32:16] Speaker A: To the island. What do you think? [01:32:19] Speaker C: With you? [01:32:21] Speaker B: Yeah, with me and, and my friend Cooper. You've seen Cooper? He's over there. Explorer lady who I haven't got the name of yet, who Cooper's been giving some really funny looks. I, I, I can't. I think, I think he murdered her husband and, and g. As well. I know him. I know his name. He seems really cool and. Yeah, and some pirates. [01:32:45] Speaker C: You. Oh, you four. [01:32:48] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:32:48] Speaker C: Are going to go talk to the pirates? [01:32:50] Speaker B: No, we've talked to them. They're going to give us a boat. We have to give them the. [01:32:54] Speaker C: You've already talked to them? [01:32:55] Speaker E: Yeah, well, we've talked to, we've talked to Ellie. [01:32:59] Speaker C: She's great. Well, what have you. Oh, gosh. Well, it's nothing you haven't like what have you. If you signed anything or maybe, maybe sign something. [01:33:09] Speaker B: But the I, I heard that the IOU is only for like the lady explorer and, and Gary, so they're the only ones who need to deal with it. So we're just getting like a free trip and you could get free trip. You can get free trip. [01:33:22] Speaker C: I can work out my own free trip with my love, but I can. You're, you're going over the. Do you know what's over there? Have you been there? [01:33:33] Speaker B: No. That's what I'm going over. I Gotta find out. [01:33:36] Speaker C: Right? And he just looks over at the other four. Like the other three on the table. Yeah, he's just there just looking at them. Just. [01:33:49] Speaker E: Hello. [01:33:50] Speaker C: Just kicked down. And then looking over at Ezrelda just like. God. [01:33:59] Speaker A: Yeah. Abe, you know that like the pirate vessels are large enough that they won't get flipped like pancakes like your rowboat will in a storm like this. [01:34:10] Speaker C: Yeah. Well, if it's the only way, I, I'm. I'm sure he. Yeah, or come along, but I ain't signing nothing with Esmeralder. She's a Jesus. [01:34:24] Speaker A: What's wrong with her? [01:34:25] Speaker C: Tricks up. She's got tricks up her sleeve, that one. [01:34:28] Speaker B: Oh, no, no, no, no. You just. You get on a good side and she's. She's cool. She's. [01:34:32] Speaker C: Oh, you're really good expert, are you? [01:34:34] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah. [01:34:36] Speaker C: All right. So you bloody. You come over here and you think you know everything. [01:34:42] Speaker A: Griffin is the five men minute expert. Job done. [01:34:47] Speaker C: Well, you will come up. Well, you. You talk to the pirates now. You already talked to him. [01:34:51] Speaker B: Oh, I don't know. And he runs back over. Are we talking to the pirates now? [01:34:55] Speaker A: Elismira just sort of like raises her eyebrows and. Well, yes, it will be. It will be what? It will be this evening there when they retire to their. Their tavern for, for celebrations of a hard works. A hard day's work. [01:35:19] Speaker B: Okay. He runs back over to him. So it's going to be this evening. They're going to meet in their tavern and then we're going to go there. So sit tight and I'll come get you when we're ready. [01:35:30] Speaker E: Cool. [01:35:33] Speaker C: Yeah, you got to go get some things over my house first. I ain't going without my stuff. [01:35:38] Speaker A: That. [01:35:38] Speaker B: That is fair. That is fair. We're going on an adventure. You excited? [01:35:44] Speaker C: No. [01:35:45] Speaker B: Oh. [01:35:49] Speaker A: Amazing. [01:35:50] Speaker B: We'll make it exciting. I'll start planning. [01:35:53] Speaker C: Don't make it excited. I don't want. [01:35:55] Speaker B: I'm gonna make it excited. [01:35:55] Speaker C: I want it. [01:35:56] Speaker E: You won't regret this. [01:35:57] Speaker A: You won't regret this. [01:35:58] Speaker C: I'm already regretting it, to be honest. [01:36:01] Speaker B: He runs back to the group. [01:36:06] Speaker A: Amazing. So, in which case, as it sounds like there are five Ellesmera is chaperoning five of you to treat with the pirates. She. Yeah, she. She tells you to meet her outside the sailor's sanctum at a predefined time. So effectively it's like dusk because that's when the, the pirate tavern will start to kind of fill up. And then the p. She. She informs you that the people that we need to speak to Will will be present at that tavern at that point. So she, with that settled, she thanks you for the wine. You specifically Cooper and she, she thanks you for the wine and then like pats the back of your hand just like one time too many. And then with a like a flash of mischief across her face she sort of like whips her. Whips her hair over her shoulder as she kind of scoots out of the the stall and she bids you bids you goodbye and she just sort of like swans off to a different part of the. Of the tavern. [01:37:23] Speaker C: And. [01:37:26] Speaker A: With, with that sort of like with this plan in motion I reckon we're going to jump on a quick break. We'll do a quick 10 minute break. So we should be back at sort of like 20, around about 20 past 9. A little a little bit of homework for the viewers please and the players as well during the break. If you pop down your suggestions for the name of the pirate tavern that we're about to go to and then whichever one takes our fancy will be the name of the tavern. Cool. See you all in about 10 minutes. Hello and welcome back everyone to Explorers of Elsewhere Live Campaign 3 Titan Isles Session 1. I'm DM Dan. I'm rejoined by Easy Does it these five beautiful creatures and is. Oh we will be joined intermittently by Tim. Sorry, there he is. [01:38:37] Speaker B: Hello. [01:38:41] Speaker A: So yes we just a really quickly recap. We have met our five. Five individuals. They have quite literally collided in some of their cases and are now bound on a common purpose which is to gain steal gain access to a boat and maybe steal it. So we will. We will jump ahead a few hours to. Dusk and. Who. Well the five of you arrive. We find the five of you outside the sailor's sanctum which is a shrine roughly in the middle of. Oh tell you what, tell you what. I might treat the stream. I might treat you all. There we go, a little map. So we find the five of you. Let's move you all over. Yes outside the the sailors sanctum in like quite near to the the docks of of Dorlishal. And as you're waiting for Ellas mirror um to arrive it would it would appear that she is being fashionably late. You hear a voice kind of ring out from the doorway of this shrine. The shrine itself looks. It's. It's. They call it a shrine. It's more akin to a temple really. A small temple. The structure itself is wooden. The the roof is made up like the roof is sun bleached. It looks to look at it from a glance, especially to, like, Cassandra Gardi, who. And Griffin, who've sort of like, maybe only seeing this for the first time kind of thing. In a way, the shrine looks a little bit run down, but at the same time, you can't help but feel this sense of sort of like homeliness that emanates from it. Like, it. Despite the look, it is a space that is well looked after and cared for. But yeah, as you're kind of stood around waiting, you hear a voice ring out, renangar's blessings upon you. And you turn to see a, like, a wide hitch. Laura, of our woman in a light blue dress, bound by what appears to be like shipping rope. Like, around her waist, there is like a mantle across her shoulders, there's a. There's a golden kind of circlet on, around her forehead, around her temple. And the lee. You notice that the. The circlet is made of what appears to be sort of like golden, like sea kelp, seaweed in a. Almost like a laurel, like a sea. A sea plant laurel. And the shrine keeper, you immediately recognize it. Like Goop and Abe, you would recognize her as shrine keeper Shayla. She. She nods to you. Renangar's blessings, she says as she sort of like, sweeps some dust down the steps onto the street. If. If I didn't know any better, I would assume that you were up to no good loitering outside my shrine. [01:42:55] Speaker E: I'm on holiday. How many times do I need to tell people that I am on. On holiday? Shayla, he's very charming about it as well. Like, you know, she knows that he's lying, but it's, It's. It's just what he's been saying ever since he's arrived. [01:43:14] Speaker A: Sure, yeah. [01:43:15] Speaker E: She. [01:43:15] Speaker A: She smiles slightly. And those who perhaps have. Well, those who haven't met her, you're immediately struck by the tattoos that crisscross her arms, legs, and what bit of sort of like torso that you can see through the slit in the front of her dress. And these are tattoos that clearly like you at a glance. They really kind of publicly label her as being part of a pirate crew. Starting with Gardi. Which tattoo that she has peaks your notice the most and where is it on her body? [01:44:13] Speaker C: Oh, he's not. [01:44:15] Speaker A: Oh, can't hear you, Tim. [01:44:17] Speaker C: There he goes. There he goes. [01:44:19] Speaker F: Sorry, everybody. I don't think Gardi knows any of the sort of the meanings intrinsic to any of the tattoos. So it's purely by, like, his own interest. And there is a large hawk on one of her shoulders. [01:44:45] Speaker A: Okay. [01:44:48] Speaker F: That has caught his eye. [01:44:49] Speaker A: Okay, Cassandra, what tattoo piques your notice the most? Oh, of course not you. [01:45:00] Speaker F: It's a tradition. [01:45:02] Speaker D: It's the curse. The curse of the tattoos. I imagine that's a swirl of storm clouds surrounding like a full moon kind of on her. Her middle arm here. And there's like a suggestion of lightning through the cloud. [01:45:21] Speaker A: Okay, Griffin. [01:45:24] Speaker B: Probably some sort of. Probably like pirates code that is tattooed across her fingers. [01:45:36] Speaker A: Interesting fear, Cooper. [01:45:39] Speaker E: I think that like, I think with the cut of the dress you can kind of see that she's got tattoos on her clavicle directing downwards. I think probably in some sort of. I think some sort of script. I wouldn't say it was pirate code, but some sort of like maybe like a language Cooper doesn't recognize. Probably maybe from a lost town or a lost civilization. But it's very striking how it sits on where her dress sits and where it sits on her clavicle. [01:46:15] Speaker A: Sure. And lastly, what. What one does Abe notice. [01:46:22] Speaker C: Abe notices on her upper thigh where the slit is there is a topless mermaid. [01:46:33] Speaker A: Saucy. Very saucy. In which case. Yeah, like it is clear from the. The art that decorates her body that at some point she had sort of. [01:46:46] Speaker E: Like. [01:46:48] Speaker A: You know, visibly pledged her allegiance to presumably the pirates that sail out of doorless hole. And so I'll leave it to you to decide whether you find it curious that she now seems to be this very kind of like mild mannered shrine keeper of of all things. But there is still this sort of like cheekiness that behind her eyes that you can kind of pick up or maybe kind of reflections of. Of a past life beer as. As you saw like as you regard her you hear the clacks of like heel on pavement stone. And you all turn your attentions to see Ellas Mirror approaching. And she. As she approaches is she ever so. Sorry. There was a. There was a little juicy morsel that I had to squeeze that last bit. Last bit of juice out of. But are we. Are we ready to say hello to some pirates? [01:47:58] Speaker E: Yeah. [01:48:01] Speaker A: So Ellas Mirror leads you further up the street towards dockside. And you notice that pretty much as you pass the Sailor Sanctum, it's almost as if you're crossing over like a threshold or a border where if behind you dorlishal screened like tourist trap holiday homes. Like putting you know, a. A clean and pleasant face forward past the Sailor Sanctum. Everything starts looking a lot more sort of like rugged a lot more and almost dingy it to look at it for those of you who aren't particularly o with their. With them the. The town suddenly starts to scream Pirate at you. And as Elismira leads you up the Noble's Knot and then turns you right down one of the. The main streets she stops in front of a what looks to be like a large gambling hall you know, gambling den that also proxies as a. As a tavern. And on the sign that hangs above the door are two. Two rolling dice like tumbling together. The more perceptible of if you notice that on one of the two dice two sides like two faces have sixes and in sort of like burn like burn into the wood grain is the name and thank you to I am sweeps the beautiful parlay the bountiful parlay big my pardon And Elismira sort of like does a. A like a false curtsy and bids you enter. You can hear the sounds of sort of like jeering and cheering and guffawing and no goodedness. You can hear that like through the walls before you enter. And like the. It only swells as the door swings open and you're hit by the mix the mixed stench of like sea air pipe like weed smoke like pipe weed smoke. Stale like stale booze of some sort. There's a mixtures like hints of like ale and like grog and rum. They assort your senses as. As you enter in. And in comparison to the Peregrine this place is very cramped. It's claustrophobic that is quite. I mean Dawlisher is quite humid at the best of times anyway. But this. This place feels very kind of hot just as like the. The energy that radiates from all the. All the patrons who you realize the vast majority are similarly tattooed. Tattooed in a similar manner to that of shrine tender Shayla. And the five of you note that like heads are turning in your directions. Like there are little side glances from sort of like over the tops of tankards as they. As they peer at you. But Ellas mirror just seems to be almost like swanning through the crowd a little bit. Well, as if she's. You know, this is a place where she frequents which kind of makes sense for from what you understand of her being a bit of a social chameleon of sorts. Start with Livy this time. What decoration hung proudly like display proudly grabs your attention. [01:52:22] Speaker C: There is along the walls what looks like parts of old flags maybe from vessels that are no longer on the seas that have been sort of hammered into the walls like tattered old flags of trophies of various Old ships. [01:52:51] Speaker A: Sure. Okay. And what about you, Fear? What does Cooper notice? [01:52:59] Speaker E: I think Cooper notices what looks like the, like, bones and, like, skull of a large animal. Can't tell which one, but it's, like, mounted on the wall. It's just like the bones and skull. [01:53:18] Speaker A: Go for the bar. [01:53:19] Speaker E: So, yeah, and it. It's pretty big, but it's very hard to make out exactly what animal it is. So Cooper's been looking at that with interest. [01:53:29] Speaker A: Okay, what script. What catches Griffin's attention? [01:53:37] Speaker B: There are some. There's like a small area in the corner that's got, like a dart board. Well, not so much like a dartboard, like a target board that's on the floor. And there are quite big, like, cracks in the floor and like a couple of cannonballs sort of just like sitting on the floor where you can tell that people have just been trying to chuck cannonballs at these targets against the wall. [01:54:05] Speaker A: Amazing. Cassandra. [01:54:09] Speaker D: I think if you turn on either side, side of the front door, the entrance into this establishment are two, again, in the same way as the flags. Two very old, obviously very broken figureheads from ships that they either lost their ships or gone down in a storm or a fight. It's quite hard to tell from their state, but they've just sort of been put into the wall, like in the same way you might have two statues in an entrance way. [01:54:39] Speaker A: Bam. Baps with the prowls kind of jutting forward as, like, support beams up to the main. Okay, cool, cool, cool. And garby. [01:54:51] Speaker F: Above the bar on a little mount is an inexplicably large mop with the phrase Mr. Coconut engraved upon it. [01:55:06] Speaker A: Okay, okay, so where. Where is Mr. Coconut's mop? [01:55:10] Speaker F: It's just above the bar. [01:55:12] Speaker A: Just above the bar. Okay. [01:55:13] Speaker C: Like where you'd have, like, a shotgun. [01:55:18] Speaker A: Okay, amazing. Okay, so in which case, yeah, under, like, in the shadow of Mr. Coconut's mop and this, like, strange animal skeleton, you can see the bartender handing out, well, handing over tankers of drink that have got wildly too much sediment floating in. In it. And sort of like the. There are, you know, these rounds, some. Some tables round some tables, kind of long, rectangular. All the seats in this place of field. And off to the left, there's a couple of steps down into an area where you can see that there are kind of more tables, but the tables themselves are bigger and there appear to be like, card games, dice games, knife games, like dagger games, all kind of happening. [01:56:16] Speaker C: Cannibal games. [01:56:17] Speaker A: Cannibal games. Yes. Yes, that's. That's where the. The cannonball is there. Um, you. Yeah. Just all like. It surprises you how many patrons there are in this place. And perhaps it's the first indication of just like how many pirates operate out of Dolashal. How for someone who. So one of the locals. So for Abe, or I say local locals like Cooper, you've had some experience. The fact that they're called pirates seemingly stands in contrast to the fact that they are allowed to operate out of the. Out of the town. More akin to like privateers. How. How does that sit with you? Like how. How do you find. Let's ask Coop. Because you've got that kind of career in crime. [01:57:15] Speaker C: Sure. [01:57:15] Speaker E: That career in crime. [01:57:16] Speaker B: Great. [01:57:18] Speaker E: I think, I think one of Cooper's philosophies is it. It's not stealing if you. [01:57:30] Speaker A: Give it back. [01:57:32] Speaker E: No, no, no, no. Not like for Cooper. It's like it's not stealing if you're stealing it from someone who doesn't need it or doesn't deserve it. And I feel like Dora Shore is such a touristy based, quite rich island for like those who live here live very privileged lives. You probably could lose some money and it would be fine. And I think when it comes to like, how Cooper feels about the place, it's like, well, the pirates aren't harming anybody like directly. If anything, they're helping the economy of the island. If they were, you know, going around and murdering tourists, you'd have a very different opinion of them. But this isn't. This isn't dawn of Shores. That's not what the MO is here. The MO here is everyone needs to function properly or no one gets any money and no one gets paid. So this. So they're just a little bit backwards or a little bit, you know, there's a bit dodge. There's nothing wrong with being a bit dodge. Coop himself is a bit dodge. He grew up in a bit dodge. So he's just kind of like this feels like home in a way. So he's kind of fine with it personally. [01:58:42] Speaker A: Interesting. In. In which case, so like as you're. As the five of you kind of taking in your surroundings, you spy sort of like on the other side of the. Of the drinking, like hall, you spy Ellas Mirror speaking to a couple of pirates sat down at a table and like she does look, even she looks a little bit out of place here. You know it. And it's curious that like a civilian like her can seemingly just like one moment be in the paragraph, one moment be here. You also kind of get the impression that like, she. She could just swan into mountainside, like with all of the. The higher ups and kind of fit in. They say she's certainly got this like, social chameleon where she's just like, she knows everyone. She knows everything about everyone kind of thing. Yeah. She's talking to these two pirates and like every so often, she's gesturing over to the five of you. You can see faces turning to look at you. There's one. There's a sprite. There's a Taran sprite with a decidedly lazy eye. And like, you just can't. At any given point, you just can't tell if he's looking at you or Ella's mirror. It's quite. But like he is immobile. He's just solidly looking, seemingly in both directions simultaneously. But like he's really kind of. It looks like he's really scoping the five of you out. And then she. Eventually, Elismira returns to you. So, yes, it would seem, well, depending on how you. How you address fate, either this is your lucky day or not. She says, and sort of like, winces slightly. The pirates are willing to see you, to hear your plight and see what deals can be made to get you to the island. Unfortunately, or fortunately, the person presiding over that decision tonight is. Well, it's Boss, um, Grinner, the leader of the pirates. The. The pirate king, if you will. He has. He has returned from. From a voyage recently and he's taken up residence in the back rooms. And he will hear what you have to say. And it is him that's going to judge you worthy of his time or not. So good luck, she says, giving you a little. Little thumbs up. He's. He's a somewhat dower man, but don't. Don't let that put you off. Okay? [02:01:59] Speaker E: Sure, Ellie. Lovely. Any other advice? Apart from Dawa? I'm quite a chokey chap. That. [02:02:08] Speaker A: That doesn't. [02:02:08] Speaker E: I don't think that's gonna fly this time. Right. [02:02:12] Speaker A: She thinks about it. [02:02:14] Speaker E: And. [02:02:18] Speaker A: Don'T stare at him too long. [02:02:24] Speaker C: Is that because of his jaw? [02:02:28] Speaker A: His. His what, sorry? [02:02:29] Speaker C: His jar. Well, he's got a metal jaw. That's what I heard. I heard that he's got a metal jar. [02:02:39] Speaker A: Elismira. Oh, like, raises. Raises her eyes. [02:02:44] Speaker C: That's why he's called the Ungrinner, because he don't grin, because he's got a jaw that's made of metal. So I heard. [02:02:52] Speaker A: Kufa again, as a somewhat local. [02:02:55] Speaker E: What. [02:02:56] Speaker A: What rumor have you heard about Boss Ungrinner? [02:03:02] Speaker E: All that Cooper knows about the boss is that he doesn't suffer fools badly. [02:03:09] Speaker A: Okay. [02:03:09] Speaker E: And doesn't talk a lot. Like for him actions speak louder than words. It could be to do with the jaw. He can't confirm nor deny, but it is like his actions are more important to him than what you have to say. So. [02:03:24] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. I think Griffin's been in do sh long enough that he would have heard a rumor about boss Unrena. Ah. [02:03:45] Speaker B: Probably. Probably more to do with the fact that this is a very rare occurrence that he turns up that if. And if he does turn up in dollar shot, it's usually not for very long. [02:03:58] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay. In which case here as Cooper's just mentioned the metal draw. Sorry, Abe has just mentioned the metal draw. Ella's mirror is just kind of all right. And she, she sort of like then bids you sit at the like squeeze in on the end of a table. I'll. I'll get us some drinks because it looks like you will need the new prosper courage and at least you'll be showing that you're wetting their wet. But they're. You're filling their coffers. Who's having what? She says she looks around and sort of effectively takes a drink order. And then she looks at you, Cooper, expectantly with a handout waiting for you to give her some coin so she can buy your round of drinks. [02:05:00] Speaker E: I'm on holiday. This, this tech gives her the money just like Holiday. Holiday will be over soon. [02:05:14] Speaker F: Holiday. [02:05:15] Speaker B: Thanks, Coop. I'll pay you back next time. [02:05:18] Speaker E: Yeah. [02:05:19] Speaker A: Okay. So the five of like as the five of you take a seat, like squeeze in around this. It's effectively like a barrel with a round bit of wood balancing on top of it. It's like a wagon wheel with like planks of wood nailed to the top of it to give you a flat surface. But as you sit down, like the pirates that are already sat at this table, like, look at you as if you've just done a drive by fart. Like they, like, they, they. They visibly like scowling at you. Like. And as the five of you squeeze in around this sort of like round, round table, they get up and leave, just leaving the five of you around this table. And while Ella's like, you watch Cooper, you watch as like Ellas mirror swans over to the bar. And like as she gets to the bar, you notice that she instead of like speaking to the bartenders to order some drinks, she just like starts turning around, starts like talking, socializing with some of the other patrons. And being, like, clapping people on the backs and, like, you know, so she. She does know everyone, but, yeah, your conversation. Who breaks the silence around the table? [02:06:44] Speaker D: I think Cass kind of looks across the table at Cooper, sort of nods towards the bus. She seems nice. [02:06:57] Speaker E: She's fine. Yeah, she's fine. Why? [02:07:03] Speaker B: You got a. [02:07:04] Speaker E: You got a problem? [02:07:06] Speaker D: No problem. [02:07:08] Speaker E: Okay. Why bring it up with that tone? [02:07:17] Speaker C: Imagine all of us are sitting in the middle just playing, like, doing, like, conversational tennis. [02:07:25] Speaker A: Yeah, I imagine. I imagine you are, because I. I know I said all the boats got up, all of them, except the one that's passed out snoring. So, like, camera frame, we're looking over the back, over the shoulder of this part, passed out pirate, with the five of you in a semicircle around the rest of the table. But, yeah, there's definitely. There's definitely, like, conversational tennis going on. What's your take? What's your read on this all Guardi? [02:08:01] Speaker F: I've. I've always heard that these city folk are up to no good and constantly doing crime. So I think this is largely within my expectations. I'm just like, oh, well. Oh, what have you got myself into now, gy? [02:08:20] Speaker C: All these townies. [02:08:22] Speaker D: All these townies doing crimes. [02:08:24] Speaker C: Doing crimes, yeah. [02:08:28] Speaker F: Mr. Ape, do you. Do you reckon that fella's alive? [02:08:33] Speaker C: We won. What? [02:08:34] Speaker F: On the table. [02:08:36] Speaker C: Oh. [02:08:39] Speaker A: As you. Well, as you look, there's a. Like the cheeks flap and, like, the bit of his face that's submerged in spilt drink, just like bubbles. [02:08:52] Speaker C: He looks fine to me. [02:08:55] Speaker F: Hey, good. [02:08:58] Speaker A: Good. Sorry, has there been stony cold silence between Cassandra and Coop since. [02:09:09] Speaker C: I feel. [02:09:10] Speaker E: Like the argument's probably still going on. [02:09:12] Speaker D: I think they're probably, like, still just. The passive aggression is just rising. [02:09:18] Speaker C: Why wouldn't she be nice? Well, I think she's fine. Well, I think she's fine as well. [02:09:21] Speaker A: I don't know. I'll try and. [02:09:23] Speaker F: I'll try and diffuse the tension a bit and be like, Cooper, wasn't it? [02:09:30] Speaker E: Yeah. Hi. [02:09:33] Speaker F: Look, I. I don't know what the deal is here, but. [02:09:36] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:09:38] Speaker F: Cass is a lovely lady. We've been exploring a lot about each other in the last couple of weeks, really getting to. Really getting to grips with each other's abilities. And I think. [02:09:54] Speaker C: If you give her. [02:09:54] Speaker F: A chance, maybe you could join us one time to. [02:10:04] Speaker B: That sounds like. [02:10:05] Speaker E: What. [02:10:05] Speaker B: What kind of abilities are you? What kind of abilities? [02:10:11] Speaker F: Oh, well, I mean, I can make things grow. [02:10:16] Speaker E: Oh. [02:10:25] Speaker D: Yes, yes. Cardi, we've been having a wonderful time discovering how you can make Things grow, haven't we? [02:10:36] Speaker C: It's gone. [02:10:40] Speaker A: Cooper, you are KO'd. [02:10:44] Speaker B: You're going red. Like, redder than usual. You okay? Do you need. [02:10:48] Speaker A: I can. [02:10:49] Speaker B: I can get Gary up. [02:10:50] Speaker A: Hurry up. [02:10:50] Speaker B: His drinks. [02:10:53] Speaker F: I think he's choking. [02:10:55] Speaker D: I think he's fine. [02:11:00] Speaker F: No, look. And I'll. I will use Wild touch to make a little tree grow out of the middle of our table. Just a little tiny bonsai. [02:11:16] Speaker E: I am relieved that this is what you meant. Very much so. [02:11:22] Speaker B: What do you think he meant? [02:11:23] Speaker E: Okay, don't want to know. Did. Let's. Let's rewind just a little bit. Let's rewind. Did he say abilities? Plural? Like you have abilities. [02:11:38] Speaker D: Oh, right. Yeah. You haven't been around for a long time. [02:11:44] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah. [02:11:47] Speaker D: See, some stuff happened after everything. [02:11:53] Speaker A: Sure. [02:11:55] Speaker E: Okay. [02:11:56] Speaker D: Well, yeah, you know, with the world going upside down and everything ending up everywhere else, it seems. Well, some of us, we had abilities we didn't know we had, which was exciting and interesting and a bit explosive. [02:12:16] Speaker E: Okay. [02:12:19] Speaker C: What are we talking about now? [02:12:20] Speaker B: I. I. [02:12:26] Speaker E: Kind of pre. I kind of preferred it when it was sexual innuendo, if I'm completely honest. [02:12:32] Speaker C: Are you all having sex with one another? Have I. Have I joined, like, a weird club and I, I. I'm not interested in any of you, I'm afraid. I. I think I might. I think. I don't think so. [02:12:46] Speaker F: But I'm not entirely clear anymore. [02:12:49] Speaker B: Okay, look. [02:12:49] Speaker E: Okay, I'm just going to say this now. I used to be married to Cassandra. That is why this is weird. Okay? And we're just. That's it. But I'm gonna help you guys get off the island, to the island, and then I'm gonna continue with my holiday, and that's gonna be the end of the discussion. That's going to be the end of the discussion. Okay. [02:13:15] Speaker A: As you say this from behind you, you hear married. And Ellesmere looks it has returned with one glass of wine. So as. Like, there is a definite like. As she lifts the. The wine glass and again this. The drink itself looks expensive, which is even more remarkable in a tablet in an establishment like this. But there was a definite little finger as she sips from her wine glass and. Interesting, she says, as her eyes flick from you, Cooper, to you, Cassandra, and back. Very interesting, she says. Not that I mean to intrude or interrupt, but. They're ready for you, she says, and she gestures to the other end of the drinks hall. And you can see that sort of like flanking this door on the far side of the tavern with These two absolute slabs, they're both Laura one, one man, one woman, but they're just sort of like doing the best sort of like bouncer impression either side of this. [02:14:36] Speaker B: Door. [02:14:38] Speaker A: And come on, come on up, up you get. She says. Ellis El says as she chaperones you towards the back and, and the five of you are acutely aware that like the closer you get to this back room the more heads are turning to watch you as you head to, to presumably the boss's room. And Elismira sort of like takes point, she. Hello darling, she says. She curtsies to the two bouncers. She looks to, she looks to the. Well, she looks at two hello darlings. Doubloon no Knees she says, like presumably nicknames. Good old no knees and the like. She steps out the way and they open the door to this like dark dingy room lit by a couple of like wall sconce candles and yeah, Ellesmere sort of like rather flamboyantly gestures for you to the five of you to enter as you do Abe, you have to stoop slightly to get through the door. [02:16:00] Speaker C: Yeah, and squeeze between these two other meat slabs. [02:16:03] Speaker A: Yes, yes. [02:16:06] Speaker C: It's like comedy. We're all stuck together for a little bit too many shoulders. [02:16:12] Speaker A: The five of you make your way. As you make your way into the room, like the light in here is low enough that it takes your eyes a little, a few moments to sort of like climatize. But then you notice that the. The room itself is slightly, somewhat like octangular and there seems to be like there are tables around the edge of the room but the center of the room is depressed slightly whereas the tables are on sort like wooden plank for floorboard floor boarding the recessed areas made of stone. You can see sort of sand and hay scattered around. And on the other side of this pit of sorts you can see you, you can feel a presence. And as your eyes accustomed, become accustomed, acclimatize from the shadow like a silhouette begins to emerge in the low light of a figure sat on a throne. Arms made of what appear to be trophy steering rudders like steering wheels of defeated ships. And on this throne sits an imposing figure under what appears to be the torso of a bound skeleton. There's a torch that flickers from overhead. There are grizzly trophies that hang from this throne. And the dark skinned Laurar slowly comes to and you notice that, that there are eyes peering at you from across the room as and as you. As, as presumably boss Unrena becomes visible to you. You hear a bit Of a commotion from behind you. And you notice that Ella, like you hear the door behind you close. And like you hear Ellas mirror saying, oh, but wait, I'm supposed to. And then the door closes, knocking her out, leaving the five of you in this room with two meat slabs that were guarding the door. You're like sharp, you're. You can feel those of you at the back can feel yourselves being like shepherded into the center of the room. Who's stepping forward first? [02:19:17] Speaker D: As far as Cass is. [02:19:21] Speaker A: Okay. And who's at the back? Sorry, I should say. [02:19:30] Speaker C: I think Abe would be at the back. He's used to being at the back of a crowd because he's so large. [02:19:40] Speaker A: In which case, as you kind of step down into this pit, this voice kind of rings out from through the darkness. Why have you come before me? State your business. [02:20:01] Speaker D: We're looking for a ship. [02:20:09] Speaker A: You expect a response, but you receive them. [02:20:17] Speaker D: We want to get across to the island as quickly as possible, preferably. [02:20:30] Speaker A: And tell me, why should we help you? [02:20:40] Speaker D: We want to stop the weather. You might have noticed it. [02:20:48] Speaker A: You hear like titters of laughter from the two behind you. You hear a shuffle as from alongside the like the throne on the far side of this room steps a third equally muscle bound pirate. It is not. Perhaps. It is perhaps only explorers consider themselves important enough that they can stand in defiance of nature itself. One assumes that you are possessed of great strength for you to defy Elswa herself. [02:21:48] Speaker D: We just want to get across to the island. There's something there we really need to see. [02:22:03] Speaker A: Your boldness has piqued my interest. I would have you. And the figure sits forward. And you see Bossom Grinner place both hands on his knees. I would see this strength for myself and Abe. You feel like arms push you forward until the five of you are in the pit. And the figure, the third figure that's just stepped out from the throne in front of you steps forward like. And you hear the sound of a. Like a wooden club dragging along the floorboards. Show me the strength with which you would defy gods. Boss Unrena declares. And the figure in front of you that's flanking Boss Ungriner. I'm going to immediately spend one of my five fear to spotlight. And he steps into the ring with the five of you. And Cass, you're at the front, right? [02:23:14] Speaker D: Yep. [02:23:16] Speaker A: Okay. Unfortunately. [02:23:20] Speaker D: I know the consequences of my actions. [02:23:24] Speaker A: This Majani, this like muscly Majani man with a. Like a stretched gaunt face and what you notice to be like scarecrow Style tattoos across his lips in an almost like a, a, A rictus grin. Strides forward with this great club and swings. Swings at you with. Oh, okay. He goes to swing at you and first DM roll. [02:24:03] Speaker E: I've rolled a one. [02:24:04] Speaker A: That's how we roll. As he goes to swing the club in your direction like. Well, he goes to swing the club in the direction and like a hand shoots out and grabs his wrist and Boss Ungrinner, like just disarms the club, like removes the club from this Majami man and there's a firm shake as this pirate tough sort of like steps down into the ring or absolutely balls that up. Cass, let's go for you. What do you. What do you do? [02:24:42] Speaker D: Cass is going to. One sec. Sorry, my things are being a bit slow. I think she's going to. At the like the swing, she is going to react by casting blink out. [02:25:02] Speaker A: Okay. [02:25:05] Speaker D: And she is just going. She's going to teleport like with just this. I think it's. I can just do it without having to roll. Let me just check. Oh, I have to make a spell casting roll. [02:25:17] Speaker A: Okay. [02:25:20] Speaker D: So that is a. [02:25:22] Speaker A: So presence. Okay. A 20 with hope. So you successfully cast on a success. You can spend a hope to teleport to another point. Yeah, I should say that this, this room, sorry is about. It's not a particularly big room at all. Only sort of like 25, 30 foot wide at most. So the pit is only sort of like 20 foot round in effect with like Boss Ungrinner sat on his throne at the far end of the. The room. [02:25:58] Speaker D: Oh yes. I assumed it was a small room. Is. Is Gabby nearby enough to me that I can grab him? [02:26:06] Speaker A: Yeah. So currently the five of you have all been shepherded into sort of like you're. You're basically shoulder to shoulder in this, in this fighting pit. [02:26:16] Speaker D: I think she's. She's gonna grab him and with this, this sort of flicker of lightning, they are going to vanish and then just appear behind Cooper. [02:26:25] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. So you gain a hope for rolling hope. You then spend two hope one for yourself and one for Gaddy. So minus one hope for you. If you update that on the in. [02:26:42] Speaker D: Foundry and at the same time she. She's going to draw her pistol ready for her next go. [02:26:49] Speaker A: Okay. In which case, as you. If any of you want to like jump in after a turn is finished, then holla. Otherwise I'll just kind of go, where's the camera pointing at naturally next. So if now anyone else wants to jump in, Coop, you've just Had Cassandre and Gabby disappear from in front of you, appear behind you, and suddenly you find yourself at the front of this. [02:27:17] Speaker F: Group. [02:27:19] Speaker A: So what do you do? [02:27:23] Speaker E: I mean, we don't. We don't have to fight. Do you really? [02:27:26] Speaker C: Don't. [02:27:26] Speaker E: We don't have to fight. [02:27:27] Speaker A: This. [02:27:27] Speaker E: This seems a bit. A bit silly. I think I'm just gonna see if there's anything he can do. Interesting. [02:27:49] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:27:49] Speaker E: See, yeah, you know, we don't really have to fight or anything. I mean, I mean, luckily you wouldn't be able to. He couldn't even hit me anyway. You didn't hit her. You. You can't hit me. So. Which is I'm taunting or provoking a target. I can make a presence roll and I can roll a number of D4s equal to my proficiency. [02:28:14] Speaker A: Okay. [02:28:14] Speaker E: The target must mark a stress. So, yeah, so. So, yeah, 2D4. [02:28:23] Speaker A: So which ability is this? [02:28:24] Speaker E: Sorry, Troublemaker. [02:28:27] Speaker A: Troublemaker. Look at that in the chat. [02:28:31] Speaker E: 6. [02:28:35] Speaker A: Okay, so. Or if you make a presence check. [02:28:38] Speaker C: Yeah. [02:28:39] Speaker E: Oh, yeah. [02:28:39] Speaker A: Sorry. [02:28:47] Speaker C: Lord. [02:28:48] Speaker E: With fear. But it's a 16. [02:28:51] Speaker A: Okay. A 16 with fear. So it does work. That is a pass with fear. So I will take a fear, thank you very much. So I go back up to five. So once per rest. Ron. So who are you like mocking the. The majority that swung and missed? [02:29:15] Speaker E: Yeah, definitely. [02:29:16] Speaker F: Yep. [02:29:17] Speaker A: Okay, so 6 stress means you've absolutely destroyed this majority's sense of self worth. [02:29:30] Speaker C: As well. And then you're like, oh, guy. [02:29:36] Speaker A: Like, yeah, this. This. This madrani just stepped forward like he's gone to swing at Cassandra. He's had his club caught by the captain. He's had it wrenched from his hands and he's like turn back to look. Looks a bit confused. Cass and Guardian then just vanish. And then you emerge be like, yeah. [02:29:57] Speaker C: Nobody likes you anyway. [02:30:02] Speaker A: And like this, this majority just sort of looks around like blush visible blushing. And. Yeah, he's just. It's just a bit. Bit flummoxed. I will. Okay, so yeah, he's. He's lot. He's got no stress left. I'm going to take over as you've rolled a fear. So as you. As Cooper jeers at the majority, the burly woman from behind steps forward and she's going to like she's eyeing you up, Abe, because you look like a big old. You look like a worthy. A worthy target ever. So she's going to attempt to goad you. So. Oh God. Say she. She looks to you and she like she goes to put. She pushes on your back as if she's gonna push you forward a few steps and like, you don't budge, presumably on the back of a six, like. [02:31:22] Speaker C: Sorry, love, you trying to get past me or what are you doing? [02:31:25] Speaker A: She pushes herself back, if anything. And she looks like. Looks a bit confused and like you hear a. Like a laugh coming from behind. Like from behind you, Abe. As the blue, like, looks to her companion. No knees. And she's like, are you gonna do anything about this? She says. So he's go, I'm going to spend a fear immediately. Spend a fear to spotlight the other guy. So Nonies decides to get in on the action. And Nonies, it's like, steps forward and like, takes a massive sweet. Tries to take a massive swing at you, Abe. [02:32:11] Speaker E: Four. [02:32:12] Speaker A: I can roll well, 12 to hit Abe. [02:32:16] Speaker C: That will hit Abe. [02:32:18] Speaker A: Okay. Dealing a grand total of nothing. Five damage. [02:32:28] Speaker C: That's under my minor damage threshold. [02:32:33] Speaker A: So one hit point. [02:32:35] Speaker C: One hit point, which I use an armor slot for. So that's fine. That's no damage. I think as he as. As he goes and swings with it, he's doing fists. [02:32:52] Speaker A: Yeah, he's just at you. [02:32:54] Speaker C: Takes off. He's. Since before when they met at this. The sanctum, he obviously went back and got his equipment and what looks like the door of like a garden shed is on his back. And he takes it off as a. As a shield and just kind of places it in front of him and they just kind of smash off of the front of his allotment shared shield. [02:33:21] Speaker A: Sure. Okay. So yeah, the. The two of them. One of them, like pushes you and like, forces himself back. The second one punches and then just punches a door. Unless anyone wants to step in. I think Abe's up next. [02:33:38] Speaker C: Happy to oblige. So with this movement of taking down his shield, his other hand goes back and the biggest axe that you've ever seen comes out from his shoulder between his shoulder blades. And he's just gonna go. He's gonna go for no knees because he ain't got no knees. Okay, so let's do this way. So he's gonna swing his ax. That's 21 with fear. [02:34:20] Speaker A: 21 with fear. So definitely hits dear old no knees roll for damage. [02:34:30] Speaker C: Yes, Siri. That's a 13. [02:34:39] Speaker A: Okay, sure. So that is. Yeah, 13. So that is two damage. That is major damage to Nonis. [02:34:52] Speaker C: So I would like to spend a hope, please, as well. [02:34:56] Speaker A: Okay. Yes. What for? [02:34:59] Speaker C: I'm gonna use my horns. If I succeed in attack roll, I spend a hope and I get to headbutt them. [02:35:11] Speaker A: Okay, six. [02:35:16] Speaker C: So let's just roll that one out. Extra four. He just grabs his shoulders and just, just right there. [02:35:26] Speaker A: Okay, so an extra four. So that's actually a total of 17 damage, which is now severe damage. And as you I'm going to, I'm going to imagine you've just grabbed it by the shoulders. [02:35:41] Speaker C: Just nutted him right in the edge. [02:35:43] Speaker A: And no knees. Folds like wet paper. As you like. 8 foot of keeper like impact into him via the forehead. And yeah, no knees like collapses down onto the ground like holding a now bloodied and broken nose. Marvelous. Who wants to jump in next? Oh, wait. It's a fear. [02:36:09] Speaker C: I, It's a fear you get. [02:36:12] Speaker A: So I'm going to like. As this happens, the boss is somewhat. I'm displeased with how this is going. I. I, this is not going well. Okay, I'm. From the back of the room, Boss Ungryna will in a ver comm join the combat. And from the back of the room he shouts out, so I'm gonna spend another fear. Yes. Show me that. Show me that fury look. Show me the fury or show me death. He bellows out. So he declares no quarter. So I'm gonna target this at. I'm gonna target target this at Abe, because you're the one that's just nutted one of his pirate tufts half to death. [02:37:27] Speaker C: It was so intense. It was so. [02:37:31] Speaker A: Abe, can I please have a presence roll, please? Reaction roll. So no helpful fear. [02:37:39] Speaker C: I just press normal. [02:37:39] Speaker A: I drop down to. [02:37:42] Speaker E: Yeah, it's great. [02:37:46] Speaker A: Oh, you crit. Okay, so if you've got a strip, if you've got stress, you can clear one. But I don't think you do. [02:37:51] Speaker C: No, I do. [02:37:52] Speaker A: Okay, so yeah, so on a failure, okay, so on a success, you must mark a stress. So mark one stress, please. [02:38:02] Speaker C: I, I'm sorry. The tokens are so close together, I can't actually touch Abe's token. It's like. Thank you. [02:38:13] Speaker A: Cool. There you go. Yes. So Boss Ungrinna seemingly trying to raise the stakes. Bit like trying to hype up his own pirates, it would seem. Maybe he's demanding that his pirates. The pirates are in risk of promises of a watery grave. But in. In the aftermath of Boss Ungrynna's declaration, does anyone want to step like Gardy Griffin? Like the two of you are kind of in the middle of the group. Whether you want to step in or are you leaving it to. [02:38:47] Speaker F: Oh, I'll get involved. Yeah. [02:38:50] Speaker A: Okay. Go Guardi, go. [02:38:54] Speaker F: I will close my eyes, mouth some words. And then with a pulse of green energy from my horn, it ripples outwards as my skin turns into the sapphire blue scales of the jatak serpent. I'm a big old snake. [02:39:14] Speaker A: I'm. [02:39:15] Speaker F: I'm a big snake now. [02:39:16] Speaker A: I'm so gonna spend big snake. [02:39:19] Speaker F: I'm gonna spend a couple stress. A stress indeed. 2, 10 to the striking serpent form. [02:39:29] Speaker A: Okay, so not that anyone watch. [02:39:35] Speaker C: See. [02:39:36] Speaker A: But we can all watch as Gardi turns into a snake. [02:39:41] Speaker F: Yes. [02:39:45] Speaker A: Amazing. Okay, so. [02:39:48] Speaker C: As you turn, are you like normal sized snake, just like a little snake? Are you like a big snake? [02:39:55] Speaker F: It's tier two, so I'm gonna guess it's like pretty, pretty significant. It's pretty significant. [02:40:02] Speaker C: Like a big snake. [02:40:04] Speaker F: Yeah, yeah. [02:40:06] Speaker A: I'm imagining it's a bit like mamba sized kind of. [02:40:13] Speaker F: Yeah, like a, like a slightly skinnier anaconda, but blue and with some little like head spines. [02:40:22] Speaker A: Amazing, amazing. So having just transformed into a blue snake, what do. [02:40:30] Speaker F: Are all of these scoundrels within very close? Yes, I'd like to, to make an attack against any number of targets within very close range using my, my poisony bite. So I'm just, I'm just gonna go crazy on these fools with my snake teeth. [02:40:47] Speaker C: Sure. [02:40:50] Speaker F: So let's do an attack. [02:40:55] Speaker A: So is it, does it say what ability to use for this? Is it like a finesse or agility? [02:41:04] Speaker F: Finesse, turns out. [02:41:06] Speaker A: Okay, let's do that. [02:41:10] Speaker C: I'm just jumping into me sheet. [02:41:28] Speaker D: See. [02:41:28] Speaker F: So that is. [02:41:30] Speaker E: Where's my finesse? [02:41:32] Speaker A: Lovely. [02:41:36] Speaker F: This will be an additional plus one due to my snake powers. [02:41:41] Speaker A: Okay, so what have you roll plus one. So a 12. [02:41:47] Speaker C: Any good? [02:41:48] Speaker A: A 12 without. So that. And it attacks it, it attacks all three of the. The grunts, right? [02:41:56] Speaker F: Yeah. It says any number of targets within very close. [02:42:02] Speaker A: Unfortunately there's 13s and 14s across the board, so this is terrible. Snake hasn't got quite hit them unfortunately. Is there anything else so it adds to it or. [02:42:18] Speaker F: No, I'm just gonna look a little bit embarrassed I think. [02:42:21] Speaker C: As much as the snake can look embarrassed. [02:42:23] Speaker A: Yeah, well I think yeah, this snake is emerged and then just like started like nip like lashing out and nipping and the three pirates like jumped back because like we, I thought we were fighting like mooks and now there's a snake looking snake. [02:42:42] Speaker D: But we're all impressed and that's the main thing. [02:42:44] Speaker F: Yes, that'll do. That'll have to do. [02:42:48] Speaker A: Okay, so as you've missed, it will pass over to me. I'm going to I'm going to activate our D clubbed boy. Just as an aside. How. What's Cooper's look? What's Cooper looking like? What's Cooper's vibe right now? [02:43:10] Speaker E: His vibe is very. I think because all of this is happening quite quickly, so obviously it's going slowly around us, but I think he's still like, what the hell did Cass just do? Why did she become lightning and peer behind me? That guy just turned into a snake. Abe has just headbutted someone. What is going on? Why is the boss trying to get us to kill his own people? This makes no sense to me, but fine. I think he's like, you know, well, this is what he wants. This is what he's gonna get. [02:43:44] Speaker A: Well, as. As you're thinking this, I'm going to make an attack against you. [02:43:52] Speaker E: Can I. Can I just. Just do what? Say one thing. [02:43:56] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:43:57] Speaker E: Gaddy rolled with hope, so surely it's our go, not yours. How dare. Okay, cool. [02:44:05] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. So a missile. Missile fear comes over to me. So as you're sort of like looking around and I imagine it's like slow motion as you're looking around. There's like a. There's like a little song playing through your head as you just watch. Suddenly everything just explode into madness. And as you're thinking that an 18 to hit versus Cooper. [02:44:28] Speaker E: Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, that hit me. It's a shame because my abation is really high, but it's still here. Yeah, really? [02:44:36] Speaker A: Well, you. As you're like, looking around, you suddenly feel something impact your. Like your ribs. And the world turns as you realize you're being lifted up. And as you look down, you realize that the Majorani that's initially tried to take a swing at Cass has, like, run at you and effectively, like, rugby tackled you, got you, like, rugby tackled you into the side. And you're currently being lifted up over this pirate's shoulder. The pirate will launch you. He launches you through your. Through the, like, the companions you find yourself with. And you collide with the side of the pit for 11 physical damage. But you also hear like. You hear a grunt of pain. The Johnny has to spend us a straight stress to do that. And as he's got no stress, he's going to take a hit point of damage instead. So he sort of like cuts and he stubs himself. He cuts himself on the. The spiky studs on the sheath of your leg. Of your. Your dagger sheath, like, on your leg. So, yeah, as he kind of spears himself, he's also Launched you, Cooper, across the room. [02:45:59] Speaker E: Great. The fun. [02:46:02] Speaker A: And yeah, you can reduce that at 11 as you so wish. [02:46:05] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm just having a look to remind myself regarding armor. So my minor damage is 11. So if I use an armor stop, does it make it no damage or is it. [02:46:16] Speaker A: So if it's. If it's at 11. Yeah. Cool. [02:46:18] Speaker E: So that's fine. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Cool. That's what I thought. I think you just heard him yell like, ow. As he just gets like. [02:46:34] Speaker A: Okay. Yes, you are. You are punted across the room. I think Coop, Cooper, it's now your turn. As you sort of like the world suddenly is a blur as you then collide with the side of this, like, wooden decking. [02:46:48] Speaker B: Would I be able to butt it very quickly? [02:46:50] Speaker A: Yes. [02:46:52] Speaker E: This is Griffin. [02:46:53] Speaker A: Go, go, go. [02:46:53] Speaker B: Griffin is going to run over to you and he's like, cooper, are we in a fight? [02:46:58] Speaker E: Yeah, we're in a fight. [02:46:59] Speaker C: Help. [02:47:02] Speaker B: And he is going to. He's going to sort of really pat you on the shoulder and cast parallel on you, which means when you shoot an attack, when you get a successful attack on someone, you can make it on another target. And I spend two hopes to do that. [02:47:20] Speaker E: Thank you. [02:47:23] Speaker B: You got this, buddy. [02:47:25] Speaker E: Oh, is that okay? Okay, fine. [02:47:30] Speaker A: Okay, we passed back to Coop. [02:47:35] Speaker E: Coop is trying to side just. Just to check, because this would be a D and D thing, but I don't think dagger heart would really have. I don't think it's been mentioned with the crossbow. Is there any disadvantage for me using the crossbow at close range? Because I am also close to everybody. Like, usually. [02:47:54] Speaker A: Like, the ranged attacks are only. It's only an issue if you're in, like, melee. So you've been launched clear of this, like this mosh pit in the middle. [02:48:04] Speaker F: Sure. [02:48:05] Speaker A: This. Yeah. There's two just trying to, like, whale on Abe at the back. There's the one, the majority in the middle that's just launched you. But now he's in. He's sort of like, immediately in front of Cassandre G. Griffin's joined you. [02:48:21] Speaker F: Cool. [02:48:22] Speaker E: Okay, well, then I would like to use my crossbow to fire at the chap who just threw me across the room because it's rude. And then can I also with. If I succeed with this, I want to shoot at an additional target. So we'll see if I'm successful first. [02:48:40] Speaker A: So. So, Griffin, what does your parallela look like? Is it like two mirrored images or is it like a magical beam that shoots off or. [02:48:49] Speaker B: So basically it's. [02:48:50] Speaker A: Well, these. [02:48:51] Speaker B: It's just sort of like you feel just like a sort of warm almost kind of slightly uncomfortable feeling that sort of jots through your shoulder but then sort of obviously moves towards your. Your hand that's holding your crossbow. [02:49:06] Speaker E: Nice. Okay, wicked. Well, yeah, I'm gonna try and shoot at the person who attacked me first. So Cooper's crossbow. Normal. That was rubbish. That was really rubbish. Check. I could do nothing about it being really rubbish. No, no, I cannot. That's great. [02:49:32] Speaker A: Okay. A nine with hope. [02:49:36] Speaker E: No, it's fine. It's all good. [02:49:39] Speaker A: Okay. In which case, yeah, as you. You go to fire. Fire the bolt. Well, perhaps as you lift your. Your crossbow up, you're trying to get a bead on one of these three pirates. But they are just what like they are intermingled with everyone else that you're with. So perhaps you're. You're more worried about firing the bolt into someone. [02:50:03] Speaker E: Yeah, that makes sense. [02:50:04] Speaker A: Okay. In which case I will switch back the. The, the. So what's her name? So Doubloon Blythe. So the one that initially tried to push Abe, sizing up her prospects and realizing that perhaps there might be better solutions, she instead she tries to like she grabs one of the table. Like she rushes over and sort of like pull. There's a snake now. Right. So all bets her off. She. She smashes a table to get a table leg and she's going to swing at the snake. So she rolls a 21 to hit. [02:50:59] Speaker C: Nice as a hit. [02:51:00] Speaker F: That certainly is going to hit. [02:51:02] Speaker A: Can I certainly going to hit you. Can. [02:51:08] Speaker C: Can I use my ability, see that I am a shield and to take a stress and then I'll take the damage that would be hitting Guardian stead. [02:51:20] Speaker A: Yes, absolutely. So yeah, if you mark your stress, if you pop the ability in chat so we can see. [02:51:29] Speaker C: Let me get this one. It's that one. [02:51:39] Speaker A: Okay. So. And now I've been very close. Yet you can mark stress so you are the target of the attack instead. Okay. In which case Garda, you see this like table leg flying at you in stereo snake snaker vision. And suddenly this shadow looms over you as this table leg collides into Abe for nine damage. [02:52:08] Speaker C: I'll take an armor slot for that and I will take no damage, thank you very much. [02:52:13] Speaker A: Just catch it on this shield. [02:52:16] Speaker C: I just imagine it just hits his shoulder and just doesn't even do anything. [02:52:21] Speaker A: Breaks it breaks over your shoulder and Dubloon just looks up at you and oh no. She's tried pushing. Who wants to jump in? I mean Abe's. Abe stepped in or. [02:52:38] Speaker F: I mean, I might have a bite round you if. [02:52:41] Speaker C: Yeah, have a bite around me. [02:52:42] Speaker F: I'll have a little bite. [02:52:43] Speaker A: Got to go. [02:52:47] Speaker C: Yeah. [02:52:51] Speaker F: But also plus another one. [02:52:54] Speaker C: Nice. [02:52:56] Speaker F: Sweet 20 with hope. [02:52:58] Speaker A: Fear. [02:52:59] Speaker F: Oh, yeah. [02:53:00] Speaker C: Is it? [02:53:01] Speaker F: Yeah, yes, it is. [02:53:05] Speaker A: 21 with fear. Okay, so that's definitely. Presumably you're attacking the. The lady that's just been d. Table legged. [02:53:15] Speaker B: Yeah. [02:53:15] Speaker F: And can I also. Can I also use fearless to mark two stress and change that into a roll of hope instead? Please? [02:53:31] Speaker A: You absolutely can. So I will deduct my fear that I've just awarded myself. Cool. Okay. So you spend too stress. It's the now a 21 with hope, so you can gain hope. [02:53:46] Speaker F: Lovely. So that'll be everyone in very close again. So is that still the pirates or just. [02:53:53] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, that's all your friends. [02:53:55] Speaker F: Sweet. That is. Okay, so they all take my damage, which is. [02:54:10] Speaker A: I feel like these pirates are not long for this world. [02:54:20] Speaker F: 13 damage to these silly pirates. [02:54:24] Speaker A: 13 damage. Okay, so the. [02:54:27] Speaker F: Oh, yeah, sorry, sorry. Still going. Also. Is it. Is it doubloon, the least injured looking pirate who's up in my business? Yes, correct. I would like. I can choose one of the targets that I hit to be poisoned. Her, please. While poisoned, whenever she acts, she takes 1d10 damage. [02:54:54] Speaker A: Okay, cool, cool, cool, cool. So in which case you biting her for 13 does eight is major damage. She takes two. The chap who's on the floor having just been headbutted by Abe, he's looking to get up and then your tail just whips him across the face. So he takes another two damage because I believe his. Yeah, his mate, he takes major damage as well. And the tail, the whip crack is so savage that it knocks him unconscious. It's just like his head slip like whips round and he just collapses to the ground. And the Majori that is in amongst your midst, having just tossed Cooper like a grain of a sack of grain, is also. Also takes. Takes major damage. Okay. [02:55:59] Speaker F: Start slithering over towards Cooper as well, just to end up. [02:56:03] Speaker A: Okay. Very, very good. Who wants to go after Guardi, Griffin or Cass? Cass. It's been a while since Cassie Cassandra's one. [02:56:19] Speaker D: I think Cass will watch this chaos unfold around her. And she's already got her pistol out. I think seeing the pirate tossing Kufa, even though she deliberately put him in harm's way to be tossed by a pirate, she will aim for that pirate. That I think has also just sustained major damage from the snake. [02:56:45] Speaker A: Yes, yes, in fact, yeah, the majorani in. In your number. He's got I. I may perhaps he's being wrapped up like his foot's been wrapped around by gi as a snake. So he's yeah, she's. [02:57:04] Speaker D: She's gonna go for him. [02:57:05] Speaker C: She's. [02:57:05] Speaker D: She's. So I think that's the. Okay with fear. [02:57:14] Speaker A: 16 with fear. That is definitely a hit. [02:57:20] Speaker D: Just get up. [02:57:26] Speaker C: Yeah. [02:57:29] Speaker A: 13:13 damage is major damage. So as okay, he's just picked Coop up, launched him across the room. Coop's like gah falling to the side. Griffin skidded over like cast a spell of gim. Coop, you've got your crossbow up, you're frantically trying to figure out where to point the a pirates snapped a leg off a table, swung it at Abe. Abe's not moved. Smashes over his shoulder. Then like as she stood there dumbfounded, she's then been bitten by a snake the size of you. All the snakes just like whip cracked another pirate into unconsciousness wrapped around this punjani's foot. And then like in all of this chaos, Cass, you just sort of like emerge John up and placing this pistol against the torso, the sternum of this pirate. What does your firearm, what does your pistol look like? [02:58:41] Speaker D: I think it's quite an old pistol. It's obviously been much used over the several decades that she's been around doing her thing. I think it's got an inscription on the side that you can't quite make out in the chaos. And when she fires it, there's like a little crackle of electricity that just goes along along the barrel. [02:59:02] Speaker A: Okay, so in which case, as there's this like momentary flash of light, presumably there's a lightning charge mana crystal inside it. So yeah, as. As the room ignites in a flash of white before this like bolt of lightning infused mana fires out the end of this. This pistol coupe. You look up like as you're frantically looking for someone to shoot and the only thing that you notice is that Cass has planted your pistol into the chest of this majority, pulled the trigger and this majori is flung backwards. [02:59:44] Speaker C: Where. [02:59:45] Speaker A: Whereabouts were you shooting to kill or incapacitate? [02:59:49] Speaker D: Probably to kill at this point, really. [02:59:51] Speaker A: Okay, in which in which case this Pijani is picked up off his feet, launched backwards by the concussive blast, the force of force of your firearm. And like as he collapses to the ground, this smoking crater through his sternum. [03:00:11] Speaker C: The room. [03:00:12] Speaker A: I'm gonna take a fear. The room stops. Like everyone just stops as he hits the deck and like the one poisoned woos it. So doubt bloom Blythe, she's just like swaying slightly and like she staggers back and just killed him. She says, looking at you. Looking at you incredulously. And everyone's. Everyone looking at you, Cass, as like yeah, everyone's just scattered around. And there's you with a literal smoking gun. I will argue for to the consequences of your actions. Please take a stress as you realize that everyone is looking at you. You've just killed a man. [03:01:04] Speaker C: And. [03:01:06] Speaker A: As silence spread, the silence is deafening. Apart from like the heavy breathing. The heavy ragged breathing. And from the throne at the far end of the room, you hear like this slow clap come from Boss Ungritter. Ruthless, he says as he slowly stands. Maybe there is hope for you yet. He says as he seemingly enjoys this gratuitous show of force. And as he slowly raises himself up from his. From his throne. You. [03:02:08] Speaker B: He. [03:02:09] Speaker A: He looks down at the. The now cold. The cooling body of marooned Morton. You didn't know that because you killed it. Perhaps you can. Perhaps we can help you. And you can help us. But first I will ask of you a favor. Morton here had some duties I wished him to perform. And in his stead, you will perform them. He says, looking at the five of you. Perform this job and passage upon one of my vessels will be yours. And he holds a heavily scarred, calloused handout. Are we in agreement. This job is working behind the bar? Who's. Who's gonna shake this hand, please, whatever you do. [03:03:28] Speaker F: I don't have any hands, so I can't. [03:03:29] Speaker A: This is true. Yeah. Do. No. The. The four of you that can. Do not leave Boss ungrateful grid of hanging. [03:03:37] Speaker D: We all just go for that. No, I feel like Cass did commit the murder. She is. This is on her. [03:03:44] Speaker A: Okay? [03:03:45] Speaker D: She. She holsters the pistol and she reaches out and she shakes his hand. [03:03:51] Speaker A: In which case, Cass, as you shake the hand and like as Voss on Grinner's hand kind of closes around yours, it's surprisingly delicate as he shakes it, despite the fact you can feel his palm like scratching against yours. Cooper, as you watch every. As you've just watched everything that's happened, is this the cast that you remember? [03:04:22] Speaker E: It was certainly getting there. Okay, it's confirmed what he was fearing would happen. [03:04:30] Speaker A: In which case, as you peer upon the woman who once you were married to seemingly slight. Well, but perhaps a slightly different person to the one that you last remember seeing as you all watch this hat, this handshake happens. Elsewhere in elsewhere, the sounds of crashing waves are deafening, punctured by the staccato booms of pink and purple lightning arcing from the skies above to the ground below. There are panicked cries as the crew of the ship attempt to steady the vessel this close to the aisles and the screen. Some of the screams are cut short as a bolt of light lightning arcs down onto the deck, incinerating a handful of the crew in an explosive blast as the crew desperately try to anchor the ship close to the coast. Well, having anchored the ship close to the coast, There is a splash of water as two heavily armored feet land in the shallow waters as the figure moves up onto the coast and is joined by a second who floats above the waves. The armored figure, clutching a spiked shield, a bejeweled sword hilt hanging from her waist, scans the stormy coast in front of her and seemingly satisfied with her appraisal, she turns to look to the frail elderly male figure hovering behind her, his features concealed by an old tarnished but distinctive pointed claw clawed mask. The shore looks safe. My lord. The woman calls out, turning her head slightly to regard the ship and as another peel of thunder illuminates the coast, Two burning green eyes radiate a gaze from two burn green eyes peers out from behind a heavy horned helmet. The figure illuminated by a sickly green glow emanating from a cracked axe. The moment of your destiny draws lit draws near, my lord. Shouts the armored footwoman on the coast and the horned figure on the ship simply looks onwards. Congratulations everyone on completing episode one of Titan Campaign 3, the Titan Isles.
