[00:00:00] Speaker A: All across the unknown world, rediscovery pushes ever onwards to find the lands and people lost, all thanks to our brave explorers.
[00:00:15] Speaker B: Hi, I'm Nate and I'm playing Azakar and the Jani seraph.
[00:00:20] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Dan and I'm playing Vanya, the Wolfkin warrior.
[00:00:25] Speaker D: Hey, I'm Livy. I'm going to be playing Ray Reid, the sprite Ranger.
[00:00:30] Speaker E: Hi, my name is Fio playing Cal.
[00:00:32] Speaker A: Sang of our guardian and my name is DM Dan. I'll be the GM in these adventures. The further we go, the more we learn of these magical tales from elsewhere.
Hello and welcome back to explorers of elsewhere's live dagger actual play play through test. Hi, I'm Dim Dan. I return to you with Theo, Nate, Livy and Dan in tow as we indeed we find them in a Dankan scary cave, a mysterious cavernous cavern within the structure of this crystalline tower that juts from the landscape just north of a small explorer town called New Prosper.
A curious place, to be sure, one that seems to hold, worryingly, what appears to be liquid Manor, which is pulled in quite a large concentration and seemingly is somewhat alive and sentient.
Before we jump back over to the map, and if you are interested in dagger heart stuff or sort of tabletop rpg actual plays or anything like that, make sure to subscribe and hit the bell icon because we're releasing loads of stuff for it and we wouldn't want you to miss out.
And if you're enjoying this, make sure to hit the like button and feel free to jump into the comments because we are reading them. So we will jump back to bam, these four ray reeves under there somewhere. There she is.
So courtesy of this beautiful map by birdie maps, check out his patreon patreon.com board birdie maps.
We see that a number of globules from the lake have kind of risen above the surface, formed into crystalline like structures, and are seemingly almost orbiting a large kind of spherical blobby orb that has also risen from the lake's surface that looking a bit like this.
This large, yeah, large kind of floating orb of manner with scintillating ray like, scintillating cyan and light pink light emanating from it and coursing across its surface.
So as these blobs begin floating towards you, Rabie just runs away. What is everyone doing?
Okay, actually, for anyone who's watching this, who's, who's like maybe played dagger heart or watch dagger heart, there is no rolling for initiative, but I feel we need something to signify that the whoppy boppy stab and choppy is about to begin, we just need little phrase. So, like, let's say that whoppy boppy.
[00:04:07] Speaker B: Let's get.
[00:04:09] Speaker C: Maybe the action trackers in play. Let's.
[00:04:13] Speaker A: Let's whip out the action tracker. I mean, that's just notes in my notepad in there, but yeah, we are now in. The action tracker is now in play.
Who's going first? Who's doing what?
[00:04:25] Speaker D: I am throwing my toilet torch on the floor.
[00:04:30] Speaker A: Don't want that. On the floor.
[00:04:33] Speaker D: Yep.
[00:04:34] Speaker A: Okay, I can if you keep talking. I will do that for you.
Okay, so you throw your torch to the ground.
[00:04:53] Speaker D: Yep. And I will take out my short bow.
[00:04:59] Speaker A: Okay, so armed with short bow, what four? Do.
[00:05:11] Speaker D: I just look the other three in a kind of. Are we doing this kind of.
[00:05:23] Speaker C: There's definitely like an excited, like, like buzz, like.
[00:05:28] Speaker B: Yeah, you can see as a car look quite stern and he's preparing a spell.
[00:05:36] Speaker A: Okay, so yeah, Ray, re sounds like you're prepped and primed.
Well, who's adding the first token to the initiative tracker?
[00:05:48] Speaker B: I can.
[00:05:49] Speaker D: You wanna go for it? I don't mind.
[00:05:50] Speaker A: Shoot.
[00:05:51] Speaker C: I was gonna say the range of people. Go for it.
[00:05:57] Speaker B: Azakar is gonna step forward until he's sort of like on the edge of that little ten foot dip.
[00:06:03] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:06:05] Speaker B: How.
How far would we say is far?
[00:06:09] Speaker A: So we know from the rules that I actually readdevelop far is twelve squares.
[00:06:18] Speaker B: Twelve squares.
[00:06:19] Speaker A: So 60ft.
[00:06:23] Speaker B: Yeah. So I could definitely. I could definitely hit the wild manor.
[00:06:27] Speaker D: The big boy in the middle.
[00:06:30] Speaker B: I am going to do then a bolt beacon, which is make a spell roll against the target with far range on a success. Spend a hope to send a bolt of shimmering light towards them.
Treat it like a ranged weapon. Dealing d eight plus two damage. So I've got a sperm to hope.
[00:06:51] Speaker C: Because it specifies da. It's two d eight because you've got proficiency of two.
[00:06:58] Speaker B: Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes. You are correct.
Okay, let me rule some bones.
[00:07:08] Speaker A: That's a crit, sir.
Double eleven is a crit. You rolled a double so you immediately zoom up to a full six hope.
[00:07:23] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:07:29] Speaker A: PC Dan, for the purposes of our viewers, what does it mean?
[00:07:34] Speaker C: So for crit, you want to take the full value of the die.
So in your case, this is going to be two d eight.
So that's 16 points of damage. Then roll those two d eight, see what those two d eight give you and add it to the 16 and top of whatever modifiers you have.
[00:07:58] Speaker B: Nice.
[00:07:59] Speaker A: Also known as whoppy boppy stabbing. This is a rooty tootie point and shootie.
[00:08:07] Speaker B: Okay, so did it say two, d, eight.
Roll that. So that's a seven plus two. That'll be nine plus 16. That is someone who can do 25. Me. 25.
[00:08:19] Speaker A: 25 damage of magical damages.
[00:08:24] Speaker C: Of.
[00:08:25] Speaker B: Of magic damage.
And also they become temporarily vulnerable.
[00:08:33] Speaker A: So, Azakar, paint me a picture of what this looks like.
[00:08:40] Speaker B: So Azakar has sort of strode in front of everyone, Tita on the end of this and he sort of, he's got his eyes closed. He sort of intaking that sort of fear that he's felt from seeing this person.
And he's just sort of waving his sort of hands into a circle and then sort of juts out this.
This lightning bolt from the palm of his right hand.
[00:09:08] Speaker A: Okay.
In which case you feel this, like, surge of energy rising up through, like, from your core down your right arm. And as you, you feel it crack ever so, like that. Much harder as it leaves your palm. And you know that you've. You've, like, got it bang on the money. You have unleashed a devastating attack. And 26 points of lightning damage, like fly out towards the. The living mana.
It strikes the surface and ripples across it and you see it. It's sort of like piercing into the orb and sort of like seemingly coming out the other side. It's completely racking the wild manor.
And then it just seems to fizzle out somewhat.
And you realize the orb seems to be resistant to magic damage. So your 25 is gonna reduce to twelve or 13. Is it round up or round down? Let's have a quick look. Resist ants.
[00:10:22] Speaker C: So resistance is half damage, half damage.
[00:10:25] Speaker A: If you literally 25 damage, you would take 13. So you round up. Okay, so it takes 13 damage, which is major. So it drops down to four hit points.
He was robbed, wasn't he?
And as a car, you what? As this lightning ripples through it, what was the range of your lightning spell far?
Okay, you watch as it absorbs the lightning and then just like, it seemingly expels it and kind of bounces out around and down into the pool underneath. But, yeah, you seem to have blown, like it's, it form looks less cohesive than did a moment ago, but there's a part of you that feels like that should have done more.
Who's going next.
[00:11:36] Speaker E: Question.
[00:11:37] Speaker B: Dan.
[00:11:37] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:11:38] Speaker B: Does it still become temporarily vulnerable?
[00:11:40] Speaker A: It does. It does, yeah.
[00:11:42] Speaker C: All for vulnerable. It means that all attack roles against it have advantage.
[00:11:47] Speaker A: Cool. Cool, cool, cool. In which case, let's give it cool. I'll find some. I'll find a little token to put on it.
Yeah. Who's going next?
[00:12:05] Speaker D: Oh, go.
What do I want to get the little guy before?
[00:12:17] Speaker C: Little guy.
[00:12:18] Speaker B: Little one.
[00:12:18] Speaker D: Little one. I'm over the little guy in the front there.
The most closest to us.
[00:12:24] Speaker A: Oh, no, don't want to do that. Sorry. It's dead.
[00:12:27] Speaker E: Yay.
[00:12:29] Speaker A: Seriously? Okay, so as an aside, I. Behind. Behind the curtains here, I recently upgraded my foundry to the latest up to date version. Right, which is great. And we're using because there's no actual foundry dagger heart thing yet because of the dagger heart rules.
But, you know, they're not allowed to publicly have a dagger heart system yet. I'm using the D and D systems.
And now that they've actually updated all the status effects to d and D status effects, I. Now, these are actually kind of useless to me right now.
Like, the not D and D ones I used to use when we were actually playing. D and D were fine, but now, I mean, is it frightened? Sure, let's make it frightened. Whatever. I don't. I don't know.
Sorry, rant over. Continue.
[00:13:29] Speaker D: Um, no, I just. I'll go for the big boy. Let's see if we get rid of this big boy.
[00:13:35] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:13:35] Speaker D: Um, I'll go for the big boy in the middle. Ease.
Um, and I'm going to use my bow.
So let's try some physical damage on this bad boy.
[00:13:49] Speaker C: You get an extra d six because you have advantage to this roll.
[00:13:53] Speaker D: D six.
Wait, so I do my duality dice first?
[00:14:01] Speaker C: Yeah, do duality dice and then roll a d six on top?
[00:14:04] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:14:04] Speaker C: Plus any modifiers.
[00:14:08] Speaker D: Seven. 8910, 1112.
With hope. Plus the d six.
[00:14:13] Speaker C: Yep, that's a d six.
[00:14:16] Speaker A: So beef in the chat. Beef would be frightened if Nate shot lightning at him. But for us, it's just a Tuesday.
[00:14:24] Speaker B: And they love it.
[00:14:28] Speaker A: Okay, so you've rolled a seven and a five. So twelve plus three. What's your mod?
[00:14:35] Speaker D: 15. With? 15 plus three.
[00:14:38] Speaker A: So 1818 with hope.
Okay, so you're gonna gain a hope if nothing else.
And that takes you up to three, and that is a hit.
[00:15:02] Speaker D: Two. D six plus.
[00:15:11] Speaker A: Two. D six plus three is a five.
[00:15:19] Speaker D: Damage.
[00:15:20] Speaker A: Five damage. Okay, so you fire your arrow towards this thing, and as it soars, as the arrow soars towards this kind of large floating orb, you notice, like a jet of the lightning that azakar just fired at. It seemingly arcs out and begins to fry. Like, it begins to course along the shaft of your arrow. And you see it sort of like, cracking apart. Under the, the lightning's kind of tempestuous power, the arrow still strikes the orb and does one point of damage.
Yeah, minor damage.
Okay, that is a second token on the tracker. Who's going next?
Actually, you know what? You know, you know what?
This guy right here has got some fear to burn.
I'm gonna burn to fear because I think that's what I need to burn to interrupt.
I'm pretty sure that's what I need to interrupt.
Quick reading of the rules.
Like my brain is screaming that it is to fear.
Add two tokens to the tracker. Interrupt. Oh, no, it's just one. It's just one. Okay.
[00:17:02] Speaker C: Yeah, interrupt the. Yeah, you can spend fear to interrupt players while the action tracker.
[00:17:06] Speaker A: Yay me.
Okay, so I'm down to two fear.
[00:17:10] Speaker C: So one fear. And as you begin to with the action tracker, you want you use two tokens to make a fear. I think that's right.
[00:17:21] Speaker A: Right. Okay, that makes sense. Okay. In which case, as you begin your barrage on the large kind of floating orb in the middle, I will close is six.
So cool.
Seemingly like angered question mark by your attacks and the small shards that were kind of coalescing around the large orb and begin surging towards you.
[00:18:03] Speaker E: One.
[00:18:04] Speaker A: 2345-612-3456 and then this one as well.
23456.
Yeah. They begin drifting towards you using their group attack chooser to. Oh, hang on. Sorry. I've done that wrong, haven't I?
Okay.
Oh, boo. Okay. One, one manaspark flies towards you and flies towards you as a car and it bumps against you. 418 to hit.
[00:19:00] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:19:01] Speaker A: Dealing for damage.
[00:19:07] Speaker B: Oh, no, I will spend an armor slot.
Actually, I'm not gonna bother. I'll just take the hit.
[00:19:19] Speaker A: Okay, cool. You take four damage. So presumably one, one hit the minor damage.
[00:19:24] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:19:24] Speaker A: Yeah. Beautiful. Well, that was worth it.
Continue.
Yeah. Who's going?
[00:19:36] Speaker C: Right.
[00:19:43] Speaker E: Do you want to do some sort of tag team to get down this ten foot?
[00:19:49] Speaker C: I mean, you've got this.
[00:19:51] Speaker E: I think the thing is we've got this precipice which I'm a little bit concerned is going to cause chaos.
[00:19:58] Speaker C: What are you thinking?
[00:20:00] Speaker A: I don't know.
[00:20:01] Speaker E: I'm just trying to think if there's. I'm trying, I'm trying, I'm trying.
[00:20:07] Speaker C: Thing is, do we want to tag team on a little rock?
[00:20:11] Speaker E: No, we don't really, do we? Okay.
[00:20:14] Speaker C: But we could, we can make this a leopard kill.
[00:20:18] Speaker E: Let's, let's do the epic kill on the big blob. Let's see if we can get rid of the little blobs on our own.
With that being said, I still need so dm the. I'm assuming the little blob is hovering above the ten foot drop.
[00:20:35] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:20:35] Speaker E: Well, that's fun, isn't it? So that's not.
[00:20:38] Speaker A: It just seems to be able to hover and kind of float about.
[00:20:43] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:20:48] Speaker C: Right. In that case, if you're struggling to think of an idea for this, could I throw something out there, then?
[00:20:58] Speaker A: Is that something your elbow?
[00:21:02] Speaker C: My. It's more of the people. A.
The idea is I'm going in for an attack against this crystal. But considering what we've just disposed of about this floating in the air, I want to go for more of a thematic move on this, where I want to go and leap and then grab the crystal and slam dunk it to the ground. Okay, that's kind of the vision I'm going for, is like, no, you don't.
As I fall ten foot.
[00:21:30] Speaker A: Yeah, that sounds very good. By all means, just given that it's only sort of like five ish feet away from the ledge that azakars on, I won't ask you to, like, roll anything. So just make your attack rock.
[00:21:47] Speaker C: Brilliant. So just make it attack rock. Sweet.
[00:21:51] Speaker A: Lebron it.
[00:21:53] Speaker C: I'm going for LeBron in it.
Dude, I've got.
No, no, nevermind. I'm just gonna go for it. Normal. Normal roll. Let's see what we go.
[00:22:04] Speaker F: Bam.
[00:22:05] Speaker C: Okay, um, 13. So 13. Where's my modifiers? I get a plus three. So that's 16 with hope.
[00:22:16] Speaker A: 16 with hope. A.
Yeah.
[00:22:21] Speaker C: And I'm gonna take the hope. Not take the hope. Sorry. And I'm gonna add it to my pool of slayer dice. Maxing out.
[00:22:31] Speaker A: Okay, cool, cool. In which case, roll your normal damage.
[00:22:34] Speaker C: Actually, no, I can take one more. Actually.
Hold on. Just double checking their rules on the slayer dice, you can store a number slated equal to your proficiency, right? So I can only take two. Okay, fair enough. Right. So yeah, as.
[00:22:53] Speaker F: Let's.
[00:22:53] Speaker C: Let's do the roller dash first. So it's a. For these. Let me just. I'll talk about the thematic bit in a second. Plus three.
Plus three. Is that how you do.
[00:23:16] Speaker A: 13?
[00:23:16] Speaker C: So this is magic damage. Okay, so what happens in this moment is seeing all the attacks being thrown about. And Vanya is just waiting for his chance. And finally this little crystal, like, comes up and tries to bop our poor Fred Azakar. And he takes that moment to play time to hunt.
And he leaps and grabs the crystal and cut out from his clothes. You now see these stone gauntlets with, like, these glowing sort of, like, light blue lines going all across the stone gauntlets as it crushes on this crystal, as he tries to bring it down to the floor, leaping from the ledge.
[00:24:08] Speaker A: In which case, the three of you watch as. Yeah, vanier, like, explodes out from between you.
You see him seize this crystalline mass and vanier in your grasp. It feels both like burning hot and freezing cold simultaneously. And, like, you can feel your. The tips of your fingers kind of tingling from some sort of almost like electrical static.
And as you lay, as you presumably almost superhero three point landing it. Yes, you slammed using, putting all your force behind your arm, and you feel the thing crack for a moment under your palm, and then it almost shatters into a fine sand, which splats, like, bursts out from under your palm. And as you pull your hand away, you watch as these. These tiny fragments of blue and pink kind of glassy crystal then seemingly melt into this liquid substance and then slowly reach back to sink back into the lake.
[00:25:23] Speaker C: Just to add to the finishing off the visuals as the crashing down of the gauntlet crushes this crystal to the ground, you see erupting, taking from the gauntlets this whirlwind of sort of like, wind and blizzardy type energy as he's arcing this crystal down to the ground for a slam dunk.
So there is this. For those watching, there is some sort of primal magic at play with these cool nuts.
[00:25:54] Speaker A: Very good. Very good.
Will interrupt because the last time I did that, I didn't really do anything.
So I'm gonna interrupt this time.
I'm going to activate El Chongas big mummy himself.
So, having seen you, seen you, quote, unquote, having sensed you shatter this one of these small shards, the orb like ripples and that a part of it explodes outwards and a blast of blue pink fire arcs towards you. Van yeah.
[00:26:38] Speaker C: Oh.
[00:26:38] Speaker A: 411 to hit.
[00:26:43] Speaker C: Oh.
[00:26:48] Speaker A: Okay. In which case, you. You see it coming and you manage to kind of jump out the way as this blast strikes the wall behind you, like the side of the, like the ledge that Azakar stood on, it impacts against that and kind of plumes out.
And as you turn and look, you notice that where the rock was struck, it has been turned into crystalline like glass.
[00:27:19] Speaker C: I will just kind of look back at the creature and, like, are you.
[00:27:23] Speaker F: Afraid to face me one on one?
[00:27:28] Speaker A: It come at me. It wibbles in defiance. Um, I'm gonna pass the initiative back over.
Cow.
Yeah. What's Cowell doing?
[00:27:42] Speaker E: I think.
I think Cal is going to probably like muttering lots of swear words under his breath. He's going to make his way down the alcove to join Vanier.
Oh, no. He's definitely like, it's not sensible. It's just like a very, like, grumpy. It's proper grumpy as he like, stamps.
[00:28:12] Speaker B: Down on his bum.
[00:28:16] Speaker E: Not quite, but yeah, he's a grumpy little git.
The torch goes down because he's still got the torch.
[00:28:24] Speaker A: Okay.
I believe you are. Yeah.
[00:28:28] Speaker E: You're gonna think about it.
[00:28:30] Speaker A: Your token is producing light, so we're good.
[00:28:32] Speaker F: It is producing the drawing, friend.
[00:28:39] Speaker A: I'm so angry. I throw my sword at it.
[00:28:45] Speaker E: So tempting.
He just died.
I think.
He's usually a sword man, but he can't get into the water. So he has his hand crossbow. So I think he's going to draw that.
[00:29:01] Speaker A: Sure.
That's a hand crossbow that fire swords.
Get out of here.
[00:29:07] Speaker E: That would be so useful.
Just gonna let me activate it. Okay. So yeah, hand crossbow then. It is. Doesn't do a lot of damage, but it'll do something, which is something you can't do at the moment.
Yeah. So think he's going to. So where does, how far does it go?
No, I don't want an arm strike. I just equipped my hand crossbow, but fine. Thank you.
Let's try again.
Yeah, I'll just punch it. I'll just punch the water.
So impressed with Vanu.
Right. So I can, I can shoot far with my hand crossbow. So I won't do as much damage as. But it'll do something. So, yeah, I'm going to.
I won't shoot the.
Yeah, I'll shoot the big blob. Let's go for it. Let's do what everyone else did. So shooting the big blob of a plus two. So let's see what that does.
Oh, great. Not much. This is, this is great.
Yeah. So that's a seven, eight, nine with fear.
[00:30:20] Speaker A: Okay. Nine with fear against big blob.
[00:30:25] Speaker E: Yep.
[00:30:27] Speaker A: Okay, so you draw your hand crossbow and as you go to fire it, like you fire the bolt, it arcs across the, the lake surface. And you watch as the surface of the lake ripples slightly and then this, like, almost like an arm bursts out and kind of envelops the crossbow bolt. Like a small wave kind of comes out and the bolt just hits the surface and then loses momentum as it tumbles in, under. And it's kind of subsumed by the, the lake itself.
[00:31:05] Speaker E: I. TM dan. Yes, DM Dan. Am I, am I allowed to have my only f bomb for the session because I feel I would. Let's just say there's an f and one hope.
[00:31:17] Speaker A: Just.
[00:31:17] Speaker E: Well, actually, I've only got one hope.
[00:31:19] Speaker A: Before you drop the f bomb, how long does the vulnerability last for asaka?
[00:31:28] Speaker B: He says temporarily.
[00:31:32] Speaker C: Let me just double check. Temporary.
[00:31:35] Speaker A: I mean, if it's until it takes.
[00:31:38] Speaker B: Its turn or after its turn. I don't know.
[00:31:42] Speaker A: I mean, I'm happy to assume it means until your next turn.
[00:31:47] Speaker C: Yeah, let me. I have read this a while back. Let me see if I can find something on it.
[00:31:57] Speaker A: Temporary.
Every day is a school day.
[00:32:02] Speaker C: When you play dagger our conditions. That'll be it.
[00:32:06] Speaker A: I mean, if nothing else, I'm going to say temporary will last until like. Because I'm basically tracking all of your turns. You're going, dad.
[00:32:20] Speaker C: Yeah. So if no. If no trigger is given, the condition is a temporary condition you can use. Usually make an action roll difficulty determined by the GM. To clear a temporary condition, though, the GM might have you end it another way.
As always, this action roll should be described and negotiated narratively. For example, if your character is vulnerable, you might describe how you leap through the fire.
[00:32:48] Speaker A: I can speed on.
[00:32:49] Speaker C: If an adversary is affected by the condition, the GM can spend an action token to clear it.
This doesn't require a roll, but does use that adversaries action.
[00:33:02] Speaker A: Okay, I have not done that. So, Fio, you can roll an extra d six.
[00:33:10] Speaker E: Oh, cool.
[00:33:11] Speaker C: Yes. Add a d six on top.
[00:33:13] Speaker A: So you're currently on eleven, aren't you?
[00:33:20] Speaker E: Seven. Eight.
So however, it depends on how. How high this g six is. Okay, let's go.
Great.
[00:33:35] Speaker B: Do you think a prayer dice will help you with that as well?
[00:33:39] Speaker E: Got a feeling that because Dan is throwing me a bone, it might be another bone.
[00:33:47] Speaker A: So you can add three to this roll. Yeah.
[00:33:51] Speaker E: I think. I think that's the case.
[00:33:53] Speaker A: Okay, so we're on twelve.
[00:33:56] Speaker B: I mean, three to make 15.
[00:33:58] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean, this is a. I'm feeling quite pious right now.
[00:34:03] Speaker E: Okay. Okay.
Yeah, we'll do that. I'll do that. We'll do that. So, so cool.
[00:34:10] Speaker A: We want to buff Theo so hard, we can see our reflections. That's.
[00:34:17] Speaker B: Really 15 now.
[00:34:19] Speaker A: Okay. 15. Did you roll a 15, Theo?
[00:34:23] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:34:24] Speaker E: Yes.
[00:34:25] Speaker A: Okay.
The bolt flies out, the wave comes up and you miss. The wave comes up and the bolt pierces through the surface of the wave and carries on to strike a the mana orb.
[00:34:43] Speaker E: Yay.
[00:34:44] Speaker B: Well done, Theo.
[00:34:46] Speaker E: Thanks, guys.
[00:34:47] Speaker C: Teamwork. Makes it so good.
[00:34:49] Speaker E: I. I created such a powerful character.
[00:34:57] Speaker C: Great.
[00:34:59] Speaker E: Fantastico.
[00:35:01] Speaker A: So yeah. Roll for damage.
[00:35:03] Speaker E: Roll for damage. Okay, so it two d, six plus one. So.
Right, 1111 points of damage.
[00:35:18] Speaker A: Eleven points of damage is major damage.
Okay, so the bolt kind of out and seemingly whatever kind of residual lightning was in the orb coalesces around the metallic tip of your bolt, and it just kind of focuses it enough. And there's a small. You hear a small kind of staticky explosion as the bolt pierces into the orb. It bursts open like. Like a postule. And you see that the living mana is just kind of barely holding on. Those globules is a bit like a, you know, the inside of a lava lamp with just these thin tendrils of kind of liquid holding the orb together.
[00:36:12] Speaker E: More flavor. The way that Cal is. Is shooting the hand crossbow is very reminiscent of the kind of nonchalantness of the chap shooting in the Olympics.
Just like, I just. Just like. He looks like he's not trying because, let's face it, I'm trying really hard. Cal is not. So he's just like.
[00:36:32] Speaker A: All Cal's thinking is, I want to see my dog.
Very, very good. Yeah, I'm imagining, like. Yeah, the disparity in different. Like, Kal is the turkish pistol guy, and Theo is.
Is Fio, the australian breakdancer.
Like, really giving it a.
Yeah, okay, very good. Very good.
[00:37:02] Speaker E: Inside. Cal hates me. It's fine.
[00:37:04] Speaker A: Topical, topical larks. Right? Okay, so, Cal, as you fire this bolt, the orb looks like it's lost pretty much all of its structural integrity. Who's going next?
[00:37:17] Speaker C: Because that was a role with fear.
Now, the DM or TM teachers.
[00:37:33] Speaker B: I mean, technically, he could use that action to clear that vulnerability, but.
[00:37:36] Speaker A: Yes, I could, but I shan't, because I want to do things.
[00:37:43] Speaker B: I want to do cool things.
[00:37:45] Speaker A: Yeah.
So I'm going to spend two actions to activate a group action and seemingly spurred on the shards of mana, fly towards the edge of the lake.
And I'm gonna.
Who am I gonna go for? Who am I gonna go for? Cow. I think I'm gonna attack you.
So let's do.
So choose target all within. Close those menu. Moon to melee.
Okay. Actually, no, it's got to be against. Van. Yeah. Saws.
Van. Yeah. These three shards kind of converge upon you.
They make one shared attack roll.
God damn you.
I roll a five.
So, as these three shots. Yeah. The three shards hurtle towards you, and you managed to sort, like, duck out the way of all of them avoiding their attacks.
Oh, that was worth it, wasn't it? Great, who's going next? I've run out of actions.
[00:39:17] Speaker C: As a.
[00:39:17] Speaker B: Car can go next.
[00:39:18] Speaker A: Sure.
[00:39:18] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:39:20] Speaker B: I was gonna face the big blob, but seeing as there's little blobs in front of us, I'm gonna.
[00:39:26] Speaker A: You can 100%, like, get the.
[00:39:32] Speaker B: I think I need to get down anyway because I don't think I'm close enough to do what I need to do because I need to be in close range. Okay, get to the blue.
Let me see. One, two, three.
[00:39:44] Speaker A: So that is basically where the floating crystals are.
[00:39:49] Speaker B: Little, little bastard.
Okay, so Asakar is going to go there.
[00:39:54] Speaker A: You could go there.
[00:39:56] Speaker B: I could go there. Okay. So he's, while he sees them attacking, he's gonna scoot over, scoot round, sort of obviously dodging the small little lake of the little river of mana sort of flowing through, straddling the river. He is going to use his sword as a spirit weapon so he can actually make this fly from his hand to strike.
So I have to mark a stress to do this.
[00:40:28] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:40:32] Speaker B: And so, yeah, it's blah, blah, blah. You can mark a stress to target an additional target in range within the same attack. I'm not going to do that. Gonna, just gonna send it off to the azakar is going to, as, as he's sort of holding his blade, he's going to make a small prayer. And I want to use one of my experiences of eye as soldier to add an additional plus two to this.
[00:41:02] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:41:02] Speaker B: So I'm going to spend some hope. Yeah.
[00:41:05] Speaker A: So that drops you down to five.
Very good. Plus two to that.
[00:41:09] Speaker B: And, oh, should I be sneaky and do another plus two and spend another hope?
Yeah. So I'm gonna spend, I'm gonna spend another hope to also use another experience, which I've got is called keen sight.
Make sure that the path I've got.
[00:41:26] Speaker A: Is there is a lot of glowy purple and blue on a backdrop of glowy purple and blue.
Okay. So up to plus four.
[00:41:37] Speaker B: So this is plus four. So it is a. There we go.
So I get a plus two on this attack as well. So that's gonna be plus six.
Okay. So it is.
[00:41:57] Speaker A: 22.
[00:41:57] Speaker B: 22 that with fear.
[00:42:00] Speaker A: That is a hit. I will simply take a fear in this instance rather than add anything new to the mix.
But, yeah, Romney damage.
[00:42:14] Speaker B: Let's see. Two d, ten s, plus one.
[00:42:19] Speaker C: Where are you?
[00:42:20] Speaker A: There you are.
Okay, so describe to me that is magical damage.
Okay, that's fine. Well, describe to me what just happens.
[00:42:47] Speaker B: Okay, so as, as a car sort of like, sort of holds this saber in front of his face and sort of mutters like a small prayer to follow through to Aya's light.
He then sort of rolls it around, then whips it over as it sort of boomerangs over to the orb as it sort of slices through the middle of it and then slices back through again as it returns to him.
[00:43:17] Speaker A: Okay. In which case, as this kind of blade of, this arc of light sheet like slices clean through the floating orb that's kind of all kind of wispy and blobby as it arcs back round and comes back a second time, kind of bisecting it into four in a cross pattern. You watch as the segmented parts of mana just kind of begin to float away from one another. They then ripple more and more, like slowly at first, before becoming more violent. And then with a final, the mana explodes and splashes back onto the surface of the lake, and with it, the smaller blobs in front of vanier and Cal Peter out as well.
[00:44:12] Speaker C: You just see van yer just gearing up for a one man punch on these free creatures, and then they just disappear and like.
[00:44:24] Speaker F: That was pretty cool, though, what you did.
[00:44:29] Speaker A: As Van Yi commends you as a cardinal ray re and kal, you notice, you watch as the three crystals, as they kind of splash down to the floor, like, you see them fall, like dropping pieces of glass shard. But as they hit the floor, they spread out as a liquid before sliding back into the, into the lake. And suddenly the. The cavern that you're in reverts to that kind of quiet that you experienced before.
[00:45:07] Speaker B: Cars gonna sort of shake off his sword to just make sure that there's not any goop on it anymore before he feeds it back away and goes, right, we continue.
[00:45:22] Speaker F: That was so cool what you did. Flying sword through the enemy.
[00:45:29] Speaker B: It is Aya's gift to me, nothing more.
[00:45:34] Speaker C: And yes.
Yeah, I just turned to cow, who's also next to me, is like, thank.
[00:45:45] Speaker F: You for backing me up too, friend.
It was most appreciated.
[00:45:53] Speaker D: Of course, rabies at the top, the ledge.
[00:45:59] Speaker F: Of course you did.
[00:46:02] Speaker C: Well done.
[00:46:03] Speaker F: Good shooting.
Shame I couldn't make anything of this.
No extra special meals for tonight.
[00:46:13] Speaker A: Yeah, well, yeah, very much doubt you'd want to eat the lid living manner, but okay, so, yes, you the. Well, I say the cavern seems a bit more still and calm compared to a few moments ago.
From your position, Ray R, as you pick your torch back up.
So, vanier, you can see that, like, to your left, there's a very kind of narrow crawl space that you could get through there. Seems to be sort of a rocky like pillar going from floor to ceiling.
The lake extends like up to your left for some considerable way. You can't really see where it goes to otherwise as a car you can see the path like the gully that that stream of liquid mana was running down. That's kind of running like stretching out before you.
But you can't really see any other ways around the lake.
[00:47:28] Speaker C: Do I see anything even remotely resembling. Like I know the. This place alters itself.
But is there a means in which I can. Because I don't know if I'll see footprints per se because the place changes. But maybe there's a smell in the air of like potential humanoid creatures off in the distance in a certain. Or there might be certain smells in certain directions that I might be able to pick up.
[00:47:59] Speaker A: Give me a.
Yeah, give me a perceive.
[00:48:03] Speaker C: So instinct again, I think because I do have the hope to burn.
Am I.
I might use my heightened senses experience on this again to give myself plus two. So I'm going down from forehand hope to free hope. And let me just roll with a plus four to this.
13 plus four. Cool.
17 with hope. So. And I. Because I can't take any more slayer dice. I am going to take the back.
[00:48:46] Speaker A: Yeah, sure. So back up to four. Yeah. Okay. So 17, you're.
There's a peculiar. There's a particular odor kind of coming off the lake of Mana, which is kind of. It's that same kind of anchored source, kind of stinging smell that you smelled before.
But as you wander around, let's just move your token around a bit so you can see you do spots as you kind of head a bit further up the. The shore, if you will. But there appears to be like an area you could walk in, walk on across the way. So clearly you assume that there might be some sort of route around the lake that doesn't involve going through the lake of manor. That will do horrible things to you.
[00:49:53] Speaker C: Yeah. So it's. Look, I know we. There is a route down south, but.
Well, yeah, what I'll do. I'll play this.
[00:50:04] Speaker F: I'll say to the group, well, I can see that there is either a tiny gap or we can cross mostly along the shoreline, which should lead us further. Deeper into this place.
But I appreciate as well that there is a bat route back there that we've not fully explored.
So dealers choice what let be.
[00:50:44] Speaker A: What directions, Ray, are you thinking?
And or what way is Vinnie pointing?
[00:50:51] Speaker D: Vinnie pointing? Yeah, I think we heard the words or Ray re hears the word small space.
Um, and thinks that's a job for me. Uh, and they. She's on, she's uh, currently on Vinnie. And they just jointly hop like a little down.
[00:51:20] Speaker A: Down.
[00:51:20] Speaker D: The thing has a little. Look at this small space that we're talking about up here.
So is it like crawlable, walkable?
[00:51:32] Speaker A: It 100% is. Given your size, I'm going to say roll me an agility check with advantage because of your small size.
[00:51:54] Speaker C: D six on top of your arm.
[00:51:59] Speaker A: So ray ri is a ignan sprite. So they are somewhat gnome like beef.
If you're a fae with DND, imagine a gnome and a genassi.
[00:52:17] Speaker D: Eleven.
[00:52:19] Speaker A: That is for fine.
[00:52:21] Speaker D: Eleven is fine.
[00:52:22] Speaker A: That is fine. Your smallness is what got you over the mark. So you're able to squeeze through and like, as you emerge, you, you stop because there is a kind of a stream of mana running in front of you out of a crack in the wall that seems to feed into this lake. And whilst you can't really see anything, like further, what you do notice is that kind of in a little, like tucked away in a bit of a little crevice amongst this kind of sea of cyan and pink is like a round green orbital around.
[00:53:17] Speaker D: This corner. And I go to.
[00:53:22] Speaker A: It'S sort of like holdable in the palm of your hand kind of size. It's got you notice upon like giving a little inspect, there is a gold band, like a fine filigree gold band that runs around its circumference.
[00:53:39] Speaker D: The other guys won't be able to see it, will they?
[00:53:41] Speaker A: No. It's only because you're here that you're able to spot it.
[00:53:45] Speaker D: Maybe will shout out, is it floating or.
[00:53:55] Speaker A: Not floating? It's just like sack tucked in the corner.
[00:53:57] Speaker D: Yeah, the corner. Is it glowing at all?
[00:54:01] Speaker A: No, like a glass. It's just like a glass. A wine glass? Like a wine bottle. Green orb with this gold band round it.
[00:54:14] Speaker D: How far away is it? Can I, can I touch it?
[00:54:16] Speaker A: You can, yeah. It's clear. It's definitely within reach. I mean, now that you've squeezed through that tiny space, like your inner vertical is free to roam around this area. But, yeah, for all extents and purposes, I mean, it's just, yeah, just a little. A little green orb. Something. Something a bit like that.
[00:54:38] Speaker D: I'll just pick it up.
I'm gonna pick it up.
[00:54:42] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:54:43] Speaker E: Way we.
[00:54:48] Speaker A: As you pick it up, it feels surprisingly cool to the touch.
And you see there's a small, kind of like a ring of light that flies around the gold band.
Inspecting it. You suspect that this must be a magical item of some sort?
You've certainly would have seen the mana gems. Like mana stones of this?
Yeah, that is. It's perfectly spherical. It seems like it's crafted.
You kind of wipe some of the dust off it, but, yeah, just seems to have been dropped.
[00:55:35] Speaker C: I guess. Did you say GM that you can get round to the other side with the shoreline? With our size?
[00:55:45] Speaker A: Would involve doing some check, like some parkour, some degree of parkour.
[00:55:54] Speaker C: Precarious. I will probably just shout out, well.
[00:55:59] Speaker F: Bring it over so we can all have a look then. Um, is there any further routes that way?
[00:56:06] Speaker A: Uh, Ray, from where you can see, it doesn't look like there is.
[00:56:11] Speaker D: I think so.
Just keep us.
[00:56:16] Speaker F: Fair enough.
[00:56:18] Speaker D: Do you want me to roll to get back through the game?
[00:56:20] Speaker A: That's fun.
[00:56:22] Speaker C: If it helps, I. Vanya would probably extend an arm anyway just to try.
[00:56:26] Speaker D: And just slap it away.
[00:56:30] Speaker F: Feisty.
[00:56:34] Speaker D: I present it.
It's like a little like, you think Binny will play with it?
[00:56:48] Speaker C: I just slowly look at cow and Nazakar.
[00:56:53] Speaker E: Is there anything that me might have seen in the war or something we should recognize?
[00:57:00] Speaker A: I mean, in of itself, it looks like you would have seen kind of magical objects of this sort in the past. It's like, it's perhaps a little bit larger. It's roughly the size of, like, your clenched fist.
Where. So, you know, you. You would know that crafted, like, mana gems, for example, they power firearms like the. The rifles and the pistols that people have elsewhere use and especially used during the war.
But like, you know, before, you know, long before the war, mana would be coalesced into various items to aid in kind of day to day tasks.
You know, sometimes they're like magical foci.
There are, you know.
Yeah, it looks like a magic item. What it does is currently up in the air, you're not entirely sure, but in of itself, it's not that unusual to see something like this.
[00:58:12] Speaker D: Can I try?
Does it look like it's openable?
[00:58:16] Speaker A: If I try to quick check, looks like. No, it's.
Apart from the. So the fine kind of gold bands, like the mesh band that runs around the middle, you notice that the orb has been. Would have been carved ever so delicately that the gold fundamentally sits flush.
[00:58:39] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:58:40] Speaker A: But apart from those, you know, slight changes, it is beautifully spherical. The fact that you found it kind of discarded, lost, kind of like dropped whatever, it doesn't appear to show any kind of damage to its outer form.
And, yeah, as you kind of dust it off like, the light coming from the Mana lake, like the colors that radiate off it are just hues of green. Like it's. Like it's filtering them out. Just. Yeah, just looked really kind of pelescent.
Yeah.
[00:59:20] Speaker F: We can always check it out later, surely. Make a move that way then, pointing towards the south.
[00:59:27] Speaker A: Yes, yes.
[00:59:28] Speaker B: Let us go.
[00:59:31] Speaker C: Right. So start making that way.
[00:59:32] Speaker A: Yeah. Feel free to move your tokens. Within reason.
I'll pause the game if you go too far and find too many secrets.
[00:59:45] Speaker F: Large the waters.
[00:59:50] Speaker A: So as a car, you noticed that you are, in fact, at the end. Like the end of this passageway appears to be like that little gulch that you saw the stream trickle down into.
The only way you haven't explored is immediately to your left, which is up the ten foot kind of incline to what appears to be a passage. After that. Okay.
[01:00:19] Speaker B: I guess we move up.
[01:00:20] Speaker C: I meet. Yeah. I immediately start climbing the left hand side to make sure that it's safe for everyone else to traverse to find, like, the right footholds.
[01:00:30] Speaker A: Yeah. So without the pressure of any imminent danger, there's no need to roll. You're more. More than capable of clambering up the road. The. The rock faces kind of rough enough that there's enough handholds and foot, you know, footholds to clamber up.
As you kind of get to the top and begin heading down the next kind of passageway, you come to another kind of ledge. This one is again about ten foot down, but you can see immediately to your left is another part of the lake. It's a corner that you probably couldn't have quite seen from where you originally stood. But again, there is a stream of manor that runs in front of you that feeds into the lake.
From your right, there's a drop. There is a ledge. So a small little manor waterfall, if you will.
What else can you see? That's about it.
[01:01:28] Speaker B: Bone trucking.
[01:01:32] Speaker A: The cave you. As you're going through, you can't help but note how kind of twisty and turny and windy this cave is.
And the. The two different that the fact that there are such kind of sudden drops and changes in elevation almost makes you feel like this area was not naturally formed.
But as you climb up the next kind of rock face, being careful not to get too close to the arcane stream, you find yourself heading down a like at the end of a what appears to be a very long passageway. As you head down it, the stream that you're doing your best to avoid seems to originate from another, smaller pond to your right, but further ahead, you can see that the passageway opens up slightly.
There are two.
You can see that there is another kind of stream of mana that runs this time along the base of a. Like a ten foot incline to your right. And the passageway otherwise seems to stretch onto your left.
But as you peer up, you notice that unlike the rest of the cave, which is, you know, seemingly kind of dead, I, to look at, illuminated, kind of brought to life only by the. The shifting colors from the crystals.
Like, that area seems green, like, verdant.
And the tall folk among you, who's got the highest instinct?
[01:03:32] Speaker C: I got an instinct of plus two.
[01:03:35] Speaker B: I've got an instinct of just zero.
[01:03:42] Speaker E: Me too.
[01:03:42] Speaker A: So, yes, vanya, in which case, vanier, you, like you've been huffing every now and again, leaning on those heightened senses, and, like, the air from up there looks.
Smells. Sorry.
Cleaner.
And you spy what appears to be roots coming down from the ceiling, like.
Like around the walls.
[01:04:20] Speaker C: Um, I will point up towards that general direction. And I say, um.
[01:04:27] Speaker F: Well, if I were trapped in a place like this, which is quite oppressive, wouldn't you camp out in a more, um, safer environment?
I would like to check up there.
[01:04:46] Speaker B: Let us go, then.
[01:04:49] Speaker A: Given that there is this stream of mana running along the base of the wall, I am going to require rolls from you. I'm going to suggest.
[01:05:07] Speaker C: You can do group check.
[01:05:13] Speaker A: Yeah, maybe it is a group check.
[01:05:15] Speaker C: Group action roles.
Do you want me to read that out to you?
[01:05:19] Speaker A: I can. I think I got it here.
Yeah. What's the.
[01:05:27] Speaker C: When multiple PCs are taken in action together, such as sneaking through the enemy camp as a group, the party nominates a leader, two of the action.
So whoever's got the. The best means to do this, which might be me, then. Or possibly ray, then. Each player describes how they collaborate with each other.
Well with the other PCs on the task, the actions leader makes the action roll as usual, while the other PCs make a reaction role using whichever traits they and the GM decide best fits the leaders. Action role gains a plus one bonus for each reaction roll that succeeds, and they get a minus one for one, each one that fails.
[01:06:18] Speaker A: Okay, that sounds good.
In which case, yeah, it's gonna be. We'll call it a group role to get up this. This incline.
Who's leaving?
[01:06:33] Speaker C: I don't mind. Unless Ray re wants to make an.
[01:06:37] Speaker A: Agility or a strength, I suspect I'm gonna go for.
I'm gonna say agility.
[01:06:47] Speaker D: I think I'm plus three in agility, and I get advantage on traversing.
[01:06:52] Speaker C: Then you for sure. I was. I was just thinking if it was more strengthen base, like lifting up, then I can do it. But I think with agility, that's more your domain.
[01:07:02] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay.
[01:07:03] Speaker E: Yeah.
[01:07:04] Speaker A: Okay, so Ray Reeves leading. How are the other three of you helping?
[01:07:09] Speaker B: Just pick her up?
[01:07:15] Speaker C: Yeah.
Using strengthen to give people better leverage on some of the more steadier rocks, especially Rayri and the pup who has it might need a lift. But obviously Rayru's got the bis keen sense to try and find the right foothold, tire up.
But, yeah, I'll be using my strength to pick people up and give everyone a bit of a boost.
[01:07:45] Speaker A: Okay, so if you roll your. If you roll a strength check. How's Cal helping?
[01:07:55] Speaker E: He's still. It's still dark because he's still got his torch, I'm sure. I think realistically, if so, if other people are doing the pushing, like, what is he doing to make sure that everyone's safe? I guess.
[01:08:12] Speaker A: I mean, I instincts to perceive where to go, like pick out a better route.
[01:08:17] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah, sure. The irony is my agility is also plus three. So I'm just like.
[01:08:26] Speaker A: I mean, in which case, if you just.
[01:08:30] Speaker E: I could also just. Who? Maybe I'll jump up and I can help people come up to where. Where Vanier is helping people up, helping pull them up afterwards, like a kind of tag team effort.
[01:08:42] Speaker A: Okay, very good.
So if you can roll me a agility and Azakar, just a note on.
[01:08:53] Speaker C: Reaction roles, just for people's know how, only the person making the action role being Livy's character in this case, because there's an action role that whatever happens on the duality dice where if she gets hope, she gets the hope, or if fear, the DM gets fear. But on reaction roles, us other three, it doesn't matter if we roll hope or fear. It's just we don't. It's disregarded just whether we meet at the DC.
[01:09:24] Speaker A: So.
[01:09:25] Speaker C: Yeah. Sorry to interrupt.
[01:09:26] Speaker A: That's right.
Yeah. How's it going?
[01:09:29] Speaker B: Um, I think Azakar, then if. If Vanya is sort of pushing people up and kal is sort of pulling people up, I think Azakar is then just gonna be sort of like the middleman and using strength to sort of be that last sort of hoof up to sort of get them up to Kal to get them over the edge.
[01:09:50] Speaker A: Okay. So strength as well? Yeah. Okay, so if you roll a strengthen. So again, okay, so do you get. Do you get hope on a crit reaction?
[01:10:08] Speaker C: Yes, you get a hope. And you also clear a stress, I believe.
[01:10:15] Speaker A: Well, Nate goes up five hope. Okay, so ray re, I can tell, tell you there are three successes there. So you get plus three to your role.
[01:10:28] Speaker D: So I'm gonna do my role plus, can I use an experience for Vinny as a trusted mount, trustworthy in making sure I can get up here?
[01:10:49] Speaker A: Yeah. So that's Vinnie's. So does it use, presumably uses your to give him. Okay. Ah, the famous mountain chihuahuas.
[01:11:05] Speaker D: Mountains. I, we grew up in the mountains. That's why I also get a plus. I also get advantage on this role.
[01:11:12] Speaker A: Oh, I'm picturing the, the extent of a chihuahua that can climb walls is something akin to skyrim horses.
Okay, so you are getting plus two from Vinny being a trusted mount. You're getting plus three from the three successes from the rest of the group. You're getting plus d six for advantageous. And all of that on top of the twelve with hope. So twelve.
Oh, God. What do we say? What's your bonus? Plus three.
So 1215 1720. Oh, yeah, you absolutely blow through that. So the four of you, through careful placement, you manage to kind of, you have, it's a bit of a leap over the stream to then like, land on the wall to then pull yourself up. Cowley, you help everyone up. And as you do pull everyone up, kal, you turn around and take a moment to take in your surroundings. Surroundings.
And you immediately like. So looking around you, you see that there are little kind of ponds, like collections of water. That's the first thing that strikes you. It appears to be water immediately to your right, immediately in front of you.
And there's greenhouse plant life kind of sprouting from the water, climbing up the walls, interlocking with these vines, which seem to be reaching from the ceiling. The roots appear to have pierced through the, the ceiling of the cavern and then down into these pools.
And immediately in front of you, in a rather large kind of pond, I is like a large rock, like a large flat rock that's kind of jutting out of the water slightly. And on it are a number of surprised looking people.
You see a larava mandez. You see two Loravar men. You see an aquan sprite woman and a loravar.
And Loravar woman.
And like the sprite, peeks her head out and are you here to rescue us?
And as she says that the four of you noticed that there are a fifth and 6th.
Fifth and 6th people on this rock, you notice that there's a slightly kind of shit there's. A green and like an emerald shimmer in the air. But upon hearing the sprites exclamation, you see a woman, a Laura, a Loraval woman, turn to look at you.
And as she stands up, she, like, she stands up a bit too quickly, and you see a wobble slightly, and then she, like, adjusts a pair of large gold rimmed glasses.
Are you explorers? You hear her say.
[01:15:04] Speaker C: Um, we've been. Do we, can we respond? Yeah, yeah.
[01:15:10] Speaker F: We've been sent by explorers of elsewhere to find you all. Are you researchers?
[01:15:19] Speaker A: The woman rushes forward, like, hops over the water and, like, lands a bit unsteadily on her feet.
And then she. She looks to you and.
Yes, yes, that's us. Yeah, we're the. We're researchers, and we've been here for quite some time, and we've been waiting for someone to come rescue us.
Hello. Hello, she says, and, like, she rushes up to you cow. And just, without really kind of asking, she just fishes out your hands with both of hers and begins shaking it.
[01:15:51] Speaker C: Hello.
[01:15:51] Speaker A: Hello. How are you? Hi. Hi. And then she, like, lets go of you with such kind of ferocity, but it shakes you slightly. She goes up to you Valley Vanier, and begins shaking your hand. Yes, thank you for rescuing us. Yes. So you must be explorers. My name Imtree. Hi. Pleased to meet you. I'm one of the. I'm one of the researchers. Yes, we've been in for quite some time. Hello. Yeah. Oh, hello. And she moves up to you as a car. Hello. How you doing? How you doing? She shakes your hand really, really vigorously.
Um, we've been down here for so long. It's great news that you've come here to rescue us. Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you very much. Please, please come sit on our rock, she says, and, uh, like, she, like she's gone up to you, Ray, we should shook your hand quite violently. And then you see her sort of like, way up the jump. She attempts to jump back onto the rock, beefs it and lands in the water. And she. Oh, oh, never mind. And then kind of pulls herself up and you see a shake her feet off. Yes, we're all here, as you can see. Oh. The way out of the way. May space to get on our rock, she says.
[01:17:05] Speaker C: Well, go on, please.
[01:17:09] Speaker B: Surely we should be making haste. Surely we should be going.
[01:17:16] Speaker A: Well, this rock has the most amazing berries, she says.
And as Karju like, what, what?
Vanier has already skipped across onto this rock in the middle of the pond and sure enough, sprouting all around the edges of this rock are large bushes with what appear to be plumply looking bushberries.
And Vanier, as you sort of like, marvel at this fruit that's growing in the cave, you hear a kind of a busy munching, like a sloppy munching sound.
And you turn to look at a little croak that's currently like heartland eating, eating a berry.
And the croak, like, sees you looking at him and then holds a finger up, which is the first thing that takes you off guard. And then gently lifts its loin cloth up to, like, dab the corners of its mouth.
Greetings, sir.
The croix says.
[01:18:38] Speaker F: You'Re the first quirk to talk since our arrival.
[01:18:44] Speaker A: Well, that hypothesis seems absolutely correct. Allow me to introduce myself. I. My name is Gorpel.
Antennae. As the croak, like, looks, leans around you and waves to the other three, and then takes another delicate bite from the berry that it's got in its hand.
I think we'll call it there.
[01:19:13] Speaker B: Anton's gonna be so upset that the first croak talked to us, not him.
[01:19:21] Speaker A: Okay, maybe, maybe.
Well, there we go. Let's put on some outro music. Yes. Congratulations, everyone, on completing episode two.
Yeah, there we go. You've. You've delved into the caves, you found the research party, you've found a talking croak.
Cats and dogs living together. That's.
Yeah, Bishop, you've done everything you need to do.
